You’ve always been one of the guys at Station 118. It's where you fit in, where you’re comfortable. As a firefighter and paramedic, you’ve made a name for yourself with your skill, determination, and ability to keep up with the best of them. You were tough, unyielding, and yes, a bit of a tomboy. But there was one person at the station who made your heart race every time he was near: Eddie Diaz.

Eddie was everything you admired in a person—brave, kind, and incredibly handsome. But you were convinced he would never see you as more than just another member of the team. After all, you weren’t the type of girl guys like Eddie went for. You didn't wear makeup or dresses, and you preferred a good workout session over a shopping spree.

Today was just another day at the station, and you were in the middle of a tough training drill. Eddie was there too, of course, leading the exercise with his usual focus and intensity. As the drill came to an end, you found yourself paired with him for the cooldown.

“Nice work today,” Eddie said, giving you a nod of approval. “You really pushed through.”

His words caught you off guard, and you quickly looked away, feeling a blush creep up your neck. “Thanks, Eddie. That means a lot coming from you.”

The rest of the day passed in a blur, but Eddie’s words stuck with you. Could he really see you as something more than just one of the guys? You pushed the thought aside, focusing on your duties. It was safer that way.

A few days later, you found yourself on a particularly harrowing call. A building had collapsed, trapping several people inside. The entire team was on edge as you worked tirelessly to rescue the victims.

Eddie was right by your side, his presence a steadying force. As you crawled through the rubble to reach a young girl trapped under a beam, you felt a sharp pain in your leg. You gritted your teeth and kept going, knowing there was no time to waste.

Finally, you and Eddie managed to free the girl and carry her to safety. But as soon as you set her down, your leg gave out, and you collapsed.

“Y/N!” Eddie was at your side in an instant, his face etched with concern. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” you insisted, though the pain was evident in your voice. “Just a scratch.”

Eddie shook his head, not buying it for a second. “Let me see.”

Reluctantly, you allowed him to examine your leg, which was bleeding heavily from a deep gash. Eddie’s jaw tightened as he applied pressure to the wound. “You’re not fine. We need to get you to the hospital.”

Despite your protests, Eddie refused to leave your side. He rode with you in the ambulance, holding your hand the entire way. It was the first time you had seen him so visibly worried, and it both warmed and broke your heart.

At the hospital, you were patched up and given orders to rest. Eddie stayed with you, refusing to leave until he was sure you were okay.

“Why are you doing this?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. “I’m just one of the guys, right?”

Eddie’s eyes softened as he took your hand in his. “You’re not just one of the guys, Y/N. You’re special. And I’ve been too afraid to tell you how I feel because I didn’t want to risk ruining what we have. But seeing you hurt today made me realize I can’t keep pretending.”

Your heart raced as you looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity and warmth there. “Eddie…”

He leaned in, his lips brushing against yours in a tender kiss. “I’ve fallen for you, Y/N. Tomboy, warrior, whatever you want to call yourself. I love you for who you are.”

I have been reading Picture of Dorian Gray, and an idea that was presented by Lord Henry has been stuck with me. Henry was talking at his aunts dinner (while Dorian was attending) and basically says that the people who emulate the most youth are the people that continue to make the same mistakes. This was all said because his aunt along with her friends, who are older in age, complained about how they are getting older. The reason that this continues to plague my thoughts is because as someone who is young I make the same mistakes that someone who is older wouldn't, and as I grow older the habits that are deemed childish have become more apparent. the habits I am talking about for example could be spending money without a real need, or gossiping because it is fun and not thinking about the consequences it could cause for others. These are still things that adults, who are seen as childish do, and are things that parents try to teach their kids not to preform. These are very loose examples that I could think of in the moment. But this can also apply to things physically. The idea also made me think about how people dress presents a good image of their age.

A person can wear a something that could have some print on it that maybe people find childish, but that dosent matter to you cause it is just one of your favorite shirts. This can also apply to how revealing the clothes are. That is a bit loose and far fetch from the main idea but the point still stands in how people are seen. The things that peoples wear can make them look childish but it is the way that they act that defines who they are and how mature they are. And knowing that you are growing from fixing your mistakes that you repeat makes you more mature. And while that goes without saying I never really thought about the entirety of it.

I think the thing about how people dress is just a personal rant about the viewing of how people, but the ideas about how people act from the mistakes they make can very well show their maturity. However, all of this has had me think and I just wanted to get it off my chest. I need to finish the book, but I have such a reading block and it sucks. Writing about it makes me want to read it so that's a plus. Also the discussion about age and the other stuff at the aunts dinner is around the second chapter I think???? (also sorry for any gramatical errors...)

Um, sooo normally I'm not one to send asks, as they make me real nervous. But um, I was wondering a couple of things about your pirate au because it has a choke hold on me.

Say someone wanted to write something for said au, would that be ok? And if so, would..it would be ok if it was done with a twist? As I personally love to try my hand at writing something for it, but I've found..I do better writing like found family stuff. Soo I was wondering if you would be cool with a found family sort of version? I had an idea for one, with pirate boys coming across some siren children in need of help. But I wanted to make sure just writing for your au is something you're ok with in general.

And second, going off the note of the pirate boys, my curiosity needs me to ask. What would the three do if they came across lone Siren children in need of help? Would they even help them? Would they be morally conflicted? Or what have you?

I'm sorry I took forever to get back to you on this ask. I just wanted to think in depth about it. Because GENUINELY IT GAVE ME SO MANY BRAIN WORMS!

So here's what I got~

- mother sirens aren't that maternal unlike mermaids

- pups can usually fend for themselves after a few months and go off to be independent

- a mother siren usually has a pup a year (there's only one mating season every year), but can have twins in rare situations. It dosent go beyond that.

- sirens are solitary unless mated for life

- the pup will live on its own and separate from any siblings (rare situations have been recorded of twins staying together)

- mum and dad will stay together but abandon the kids after a few months

- if a predator approaches and the male can't fight it off the female may get a boost of maternal instincts to defend her young (this only applies if the pups aren't big enough to fend for themselves

- in an unlikely situation both parents die before the pup/s are ready, the pup will usually seek out merfolk.

- merfolk have been known to help raise siren pups untill they can fend for themselves.

- Once again though, they won't stay with the mers as they are solitary and will want to be independent.

- pup hood lasts untill their first birthday.

- sirens grow much faster than mers.

- they are more feral than Mers

- a siren pup is more likely to die after it becomes independent but before it reaches its first birthday.

- it's is unlikely for a pup to surface before it's first birthday. It will typically stay in a coral reef and feed of small fish

- however if chased from its hunting grounds the pup will be forced into deeper water

- the only way I can see the boys helping out a siren pup is if the child is in clear distress. (Caught in a net, injured and circled by predators)

- it would have to be a life or death situation for morality to questioned.

- the boys are extremely passionate towards kids, but like all that sail the sea, not willing to get tangled up with sirens.

- moon is terrified of sirens 

- but in this case. They're likely to help.

- that question of "its just a kid and needs our help"

- it would mostly be sun arguing to help. Eclipse being the middle ground and moon against helping.

- Sun is very persuasive and would get eclipse to agree and basically outnumber moon

- the crew also love kids and would be a lot more willing to help the pup (probably one of them that pointed it out)

- probably put the pup in quarantine.

- Good thing about siren pups tho, is that they can be domesticated and loose their aggression if treated right. (Persistence is key)

The mental image of a tiny baby guppy lives in my head rent free.

This has kinda been on my mind lately. Warning, its long and talks about murderers as well as abuse, bombings and other dark topics.

I dont understand why some people arent curious as to why the oppressor class is oppressing the oppressed classes. People dont want to ask the question why they believe this strain of people is beneath them or inherently harmful/evil cause they associate interest of reasoning with empathy/sympathy to the oppressor class instead of intention to get to the root of the problem.

Honestly its funny cause 2 of my favorite lines in movie history come from the first saw movie and one of them applies perfectly to this situation. " to understand how to escape and dismantle this(trap), you need to be able to accept and understand what a perfect machine it is". People often times would rathur focus on hating their oppressors and spread anti-them rhetoric and promoting positivity without getting to the root of what made them an oppressor and dismantle it so it could no longer cultivate oppressors.

Most people hold the beliefs they have because someone convinced them they were correct, beat it into them( those this usually dosent last for extended periods of time) or they've been given ample evidence to support that belief. Most dont believe things out of spite and are generally mid-open to mid-closed to new beliefs or things that challenge those beliefs.

A good example i can use is myself. Take serial killers. Ever seince i was young i had a fascination with serial killers, murder and what would drive a person to kill others. In my mind, that would be the hardest and worst thing a person could do yet so many have done it without a second thought. How did they get past that mental block aka a conscious that allowed them to be able to kill? What made them do it? Did they or did they not mentally justify their actions? How did the human psyche heal from such a traumatic action? It was a fascination with human reason, rational thought, understanding of how society, abuse and multiple events can fuck with a human and understanding of human actions that drove me to watch those documentaries and tv shows.

Yes, it was gruesome and probably wasnt the best thing for a 14 yr old with abusive parents to watch but thats not my point. My point is, while watching them, i never reasonably or entirely sympathized with the common killer. Their terrible situation? Yes i did. Abusive parents/partner? Yep. The murder?( if it wasnt in self defense) nope. I never mentally excused them of their actions or found that to be an attractive quality.(looking at you killing-stalking fandom creeps). I was more interested in why and where the person could have gone had they not had negative influences.

What made this bomber bomb? Well they were a white supremacist with an abusive mother and had an abusive ex gf. Interesting. Not that he shouldnt be charged with his crimes or excused cause of abuse, just interesting to see how that could have influenced him to be violent. To stop a bad thing from happening, you need to be able to understand why it happened so you can stop it and boom! Suddenly the bad thing is gone.

Ill use another example. Terfs. Why do they believe the nasty and harmful things they believe? What made them feel that way and how can i effectively re-educate them so they dont continue to hurt groups of innocent people? Wanting to know why a terf hates trans people dosent mean i empathize/sympathize her, it means i can fully understand the problem so i can effectively solve it in the best way possible. Its a smart thing to do. If i dont know or care to know why a terf would hate trans people in general then we have no hope of understanding and are even less likely to start to fix the damage she did.

Yes, in a way I'm refering to people like me who choose to not live in echo chambers but in a way im not. Im allowing them to speak and set it on the table but im not changing my mind, giving them a platform or passively allowing bigotry to exist in my space and instead presenting them with the flaws in their reasoning and encouraging understanding, tolerance and openess to new ideas. Kill them with stern kindness as it were.

If i held a bigotry and felt as though the whole world was againest me but was also wether openly or not curious about those who did not share in my beliefs, im not gonna want to listen to another rude angry person screaming at me in my inbox or on a post, even if i would theoretically be in the wrong. I would listen to someone who wanted to hear me out, be nice about it, listen to me and give the patience necessary to help me understand why that bigotry is wrong and give me a chance and time to change.

To some, this idea sounds naive and like your " kissing up" to your oppressors but it also isnt cause well, unless you count hearing someone out to be a compliment, your still gonna win in the end and help establish a connection of understanding. A bigoted person is still a fucking person wether you like it or not. They have to possibility to change if shown enough kindness. Hopefully they are open-minded. If not, you gave them a chance and they chose otherwise so go on with your day and fuck them.

Again folks will call me naive or immature or gullible cause im nice, patient, will hear someone out and have the hope that anyone and everyone is capable of change and a better mindset but then again those people are usually nihilistic, pessimistic and make edgy jokes on the internet or pretend they only spit " facts" and that being mean and sarcastic is a personality. I mean anyone thats been in the south has heard the old saying that you attract more flies with honey than vinegar. If your an ass, expect assholes or no one.

Tdlr thats still long is; wanting to know why a bigoted person is bigoted is not empathizing with their bigotry, your more likely to stop a bigoted person in a one on one conversation if you hear them out and point out the flaws in their mentality nicely, bigoted people are still people they are just assholes and everyone is capable of change your just traumatized and edgy.

Team Red visits area 51

So, this is my first attempt at writing a true team Red fanfic. Anyways, for context, all three have worked together before, but Peter dosent know who DD is (just that he's a lawyer) and DD only knows that Peter is in high school. Both DD and Peter know who Deadpool is. Deadpool doesn't know who Spiderman is, but knows who DD is. Slight change to what's in Area 51. First, theres what's actually in area 51 (spoilers, not saying here) but the meme of this universe is that's where the cryptids are (vampires, zombies, werewolves, etc.) Also, the group invading Area 51 features some inserts, because at least some people need to show up to raid Area 51. Gwenpool shows up and uses her powers, so it gets a bit meta, since for Gwenpool it is a super powers thing, not a mental illness thing. Matt was tired.

There were robots everywhere. Robots on the ceiling, on the floor, just...robots. They were difficult to track, and, more importantly, difficult to punch. Matt's knuckles bled. The suit helped, but not enough.

When did Hell's Kitchen get so wild? Matt wondered. Then suddenly, Matt's world blurred and flipped. He was hanging upside down by his ankle.

"Hey, Double D! Hope you don't mind me bringing in some reinforcements!"

Ah. Spiderman. And oh look. (Or not.) Deadpool. Daredevil gagged. The stench of decay was...distinctive.

Matt started tugging at the webbing around his ankle. It wouldn't unstick. Maybe he should start weilding swords. That way, he could cut himself free and escape while he had a chance.

Maybe he could get Elekra to show him how to use knives.

Deadpool jumped past him, dualweilding katanas. "Eyyyyy! Horn head joined the party!" Matt grumbled under his breath.

Deadpool and Spiderman fought side by side, Spiderman webbing down robots, and Deadpool either shooting or stabbing them. Meanwhile, Matt gnawed at his ankle. Eventually the flow of robots stopped. Deadpool cut Daredevil down.

Deadpool and Spiderman looked around, and fist bumped. Matt coughed loudly.

"I had it under control."

"Because that-" Deadpool gestured around them "-was in control."

"Could have taken care of it."

Deadpool walked over and placed his hands on Matt's shoulders. Matt wrinkled his nose. "Red, you were punching bare metal. With your fists. Let me see them." Deadpool went to grab Matt's hands. Matt pulled them away. Deadpool forcibly grabbed Matt's hands and took off his gloves.

"See? Perfectly fine."

"Ah yes, bloody knuckles are perfectly fine. Now, Webhead has a special mission he wants to invite you on. After that, you're gonna go home to your boy and he's gonna kiss your boo boos better."

"He's not my boy."

"He could be."

"He's married, I'm Catholic and I'm not interested."

"Suurree." Deadpool dropped Matt's hands. "If you are looking for someone else, you know where to find me." Deadpool wiggled his eyebrows, which caused his mask to shift a bit. Matt punched Deadpool. Deadpool laughed.

"See ya hornhead." Deadpool walked off.

"Catholic?" Spidey asked.

"Yep."

"Hmm, ironic considering..." Spiderman gestured to Matt, "...everything."

"Yeah. Ya got a question?:

"Oh yeah, wanna go to area 51 with me and Deadpool?"

"Spidey, I have a buisness to run. No."

"Oh come on! You should."

"Why?"

"Do it for the alien tech. Do it for the meme. Do it because we don't know what the government is hiding in there." Spiderman paused for dramatic effect. "We need to know if vampires really exist. You can't keep that stuff from people."

"No, and you're going to get arrested for it." Matt sighed. "Listen, if you're going to go, can I at least give you this?" Matt pulled a buisness card out of his suit, and handed it over to Spidey.

"Nelson and Murdock, attorneys at law?" Spiderman raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah. I have them on speed dial in case I get arrested. Call them if you need legal help."

"Got it."

Matt tumbled into Foggy's apartment. Foggy materialized from his bedroom, bleary eyed.

"Here for checkup." Matt smiled.

"Good. I'll bring you some clean clothes. What bandages do you need? Do we need to call the Night Nurse?" Matt and Foggy had this check up system in place so they wouldn't have to bother her with minor wounds and Foggy could sleep soundly, such as twisted ankles and jammed fingers.

"Nope. Knuckles just need bandaging."

"Good. Though it says something about our lives that you are hurt at all, and I'm saying its fine."

"I know, Fogs." Foggy started applying rubbing alchohol to Matt's knuckles. Matt hissed a bit. "I miss the old days. When there were fewer heroes running around." Matt paused.

"Not when we didn't need spandex clad idiots?"

Matt snorted and thought about it for a bit. "Nah. I guess we always needed them."

"What did the idiots do this time?"

"They want to raid area 51."

"You're shitting me."

"Nope."

"They really are complete dumbasses. Utter morons." Foggy paused. "They'll be out of town for it, right?"

"Yeah..."

"You know where they live, right?"

"Just Wade."

"You could prank him."

"Hmmm... would you help?"

"If you can make sure he doesn't murder me." Foggy finished bandaging Matt's hands. "You're good to go. Do you need a change of clothes?"

"Yeah."

Foggy retrieved some sweatpants and a tshirt. He also got a paper bag out.

"Okay, I got a change of clothes, and a paper bag."

"Thanks, Foggy. You're the best."

"Text or call me when you're home safe."

"Will do."

Peter was out in the New Mexico desert, and it was nice. Warm. New York was cold. Peter was cold in New York. All the time.

DD thought it was because something with the Spider bite giving him a few cold blooded drawbacks. Wade thought it was because Peter was too skinny.

Which was because the bite fucked up his metabolism, he supposed.

But for now Peter was in the desert, and warm. It was pleasant.

For five seconds, more or less. He heard chatting, and decided to follow it.

He found a group of four people camped out in the desert, discussing strategies for getting into Area 51. They were all some degree of sunburned, sharing water bottles, and arguing about if they could expect anyone else to show up. Peter waved at them.

"Hello!" One of them responded.

"Oh, hey Spidey!" One of them yelled. She waved him over.

"Glad you could join us."

"We have a chance now!" One of them pumped her fist.

"Smokey, are these your reinforcements?"

"Hi, so, you're obviously Spiderman, I'm V, and this is Smokey," V, apparently, gestured to someone wearing a fedora, apparently Smokey, "Supes," V pointed to a woman in a Superman tshirt, "and Popcorn!" V gestured to a woman wearing a tank top that had "The only iron I pump is the IRON WILL OF GOD" on it.

"Popcorn?"

"She ate all the popcorn!" Smokey complained. Peter tilted his head.

"Smokey did most of the planning, including rations." Supes commented.

"Okay... I should be having a friend meet me here soon!"

"Awesome! Is he in the raid?"

"Yeah."

"Cool. We should talk strategy, while we wait for him to get here..."

So they figured that Deadpool would charge into Area 51 as a distraction. Once the guards left to fight him, the group of four would try to scale the fence. While the fence scaling was going on, Spidey would crawl through the drainage pipe to grab whatever paranormal stuff he could find. Leading an army, Spiderman would free the rest of them, allowing them to return home safely.

When Deadpool finally showed up, he laughed at their faces.

"Spidey, you're smarter than this. This isnt gonna work. Besides, I'm expecting one other person. She will help you out. A lot."

"Hello!" A loud, high pitched voice yelled from behind them.

Deadpool and Spiderman turned to see the pinkest person they had ever set eyes on.

Peter had thought Wade was crazy. Wade had thought Wade was crazy.

This was nothing compared to Gwen Poole. She was pink and energy, and mostly talked nonsense. Something about this all being fanfiction, and a disappointing lack of panels. Also, according to her, one of the four "self inserts" was "the author."

Wade thought he could keep up, but no. Whatever the fuck voices were in his head paled in comparison to whatever Gwen had.

Like, Deadpool occasionally thought he was in a comic, but she seemed to be able to do something about it. Dead silent explosions because "I caught the otomotapeia," inexplicable escapes...

Cuz if there's real weird shit in there, she can handle it.

As is though, she kept calling one of the people "the author" and it was making his own head spin. That's... not normally how this went. But she'd be going with the four civilians in. She'd be able to keep them alive.

And so it begins.

The plan started to fall apart immediately.

Deadpool was doing fine, Spiderman was doing fine.

Gwen and V were in a heated arguement.

"What do you mean, you didn't write any scenes inside area 51?"

"I told you, I don't know what you're talking about! Besides, don't you have powers? Can't you do something about it?"

"Not in a fanfic! Not in normal literature! The format matters. I can manipulate comic panels, not THIS SHITSHOW."

"Uh, guys? I think the Feds are here." Popcorn piped up.

"Hands up!" A man yelled. They all slowly put their hands up.

Deadpool made it in. He found a cat named Goose in a cage. He picked it up and continued running through the halls.

He ran into Spiderman. Literally. They both shouted.

"Glad to see you're alive! Do you know where Gwen's squad went?"

"Yeah, I saw them getting arrested just before making it in. And look! I found a cat!" Wade proudly held the cat up to Peter. Voices shouted from behind them.

"WADE! WE NEED TO GET THEM!"

Oh. Right.

"So, any ideas?"

"Stop!" A voice called out behind Deadpool.

The duo ran through the halls, left and right, trying to lose the gaurds. Spidetman opened a door they found, a supply closet. Spiderman opened the cage, and sat the cat on Wade's lap. Spiderman threw the cage down the hall.

"What the fuck was that for?" Deadpool furiously whispered.

"Distraction," Spiderman whispered back.

The guards immediately opened the supply closet. The cat hissed. Then, he opened his mouth. Wide.

Tentacles shot out from the cat's mouth, wrapping around the guard. He let out a shriek, cut short by Goose swallowing him whole.

Deadpool and Spiderman looked at the cat, eyes wide.

"I like you," Deadpool declared, firmly.

The other five were in a metal truck.

"Do you have any way out?" Smokey asked.

"No. We're gonna be tried for treason." Supes commented.

"If only the others could get us out of here." V added.

"Wait. That's it."

"What do you mean, that's it?"

"I can get out of here. You wrote something just now of Spidey and Deadpool back at Area 51. I can go there now, let them know where we are, which is in a metal truck, headed to... damn. Don't know definitively, but it's a shot. Just give me a moment..." Gwen pushed on something, and floated up into the ceiling.

"Well, this just got worse," Smokey commented.

"Hey guys!"

Wade screamed.

"Woah, Gwen, how'd you get here?" Spidey sounded shocked.

"The writer mentioned you in Area 51, so I could come over to visit, through some medium manipulation. "

"Great job, Pinky. Now, where's everyone else? And do you know what the fuck is going on with this cat?" Wade held out Goose.

"No idea. The writer didn't bother informing the audience of their exact location, and two, the cat is a flergen. Now, let me think." Gwen started pacing around the supply closet, muttering to herself.

"Hmmmm.... wait a minute.... I got it!" Gwen shrieked and snapped her fingers. "Ma- DD, gave you a buisness card for himself. Give it to me, and I'll bring it to them, and they'll be able to call him to lawyer them out." Gwen held out her hand. "Gimme." Reluctantly, Spiderman handed it over. "Thanks, Webhead!" Gwen pushed upwards again. Then, she was gone.

Gwen fell back into the truck, then grabbed for something.

"Soooooo, what's the plan?" Popcorn asked.

"Sit tight and get Matt Murdock to lawyer us out. He's a crack lawyer, and considering this is fanfic, I imagine he'll be great at it."

"M'Kay." Popcorn said, rolling her eyes.

Matt Murdock was a bit busy at the moment. He was busy saran wrapping Wade's pillows. Foggy was trying to cram a rubber duck into a shampoo bottle. Well, Wade's shampoo. Foggy didn't get why the guy had it (Wade was bald) but he figured he'd ask no questions. Just prank.

Matt's phone rang. An unknown number. He picked up.

"Hello! This is Matthew Murdock. Who is this?"

"Hello, this is Gwen Poole, friend of Spiderman, in need of legal counsel. Would you be able to help?"

"Where are you? Is Spiderman or Deadpool with you?"

"No. I'm with four other civilians. We are in New Mexico."

"Shit. I can't exactly make it over there."

"Shit."

Foggy yelped in surprise, then cheered. "Got it in!"

Gwen thought for a bit. "What if we book an airline for you to get here."

Matt thought about it. "That could work."

The next morning, Foggy drove Matt to the airport, grumbling the whole way.

"They're idiots, Matt, you shouldn't have to save them." Matt began staring (as best he could) at his hands.

"Its a Catholic guilt thing, isn't it?" Foggy sighed. "Fine, go be a lawyer hero while I singlehandedly keep the firm running. It's a good thing I'm the brains of Nelson and Murdock, while you're the beauty."

"I'm not the brawn of Nelson and Murdock?"

"No, that's Karen." Matt cracked a smile.

Foggy pulled up to the curb. "Keep me posted. Let me know when you're coming back and how it goes."

"I will." Matt got out of the car, and grabbed his suitcase.

He waved as Foggy drove away. Deep breaths, Murdock. You can navigate an airport and plane, he thought. Matt entered the airport.

A few hours later, Matt landed in New Mexico, where he couldn't get off the plane fast enough, then took a taxi to where they were being held.

He raised hell. He got everyone (except for Gwen) released that night. New Mexico state troopers had never seen the fury of a Matt Murdock scorned.

Apparently, since everyone was in the middle of the desert, and needed supplies, the threat of death by dehydration was enough to get them all off. Gwen, however, was stuck back in prison, because she was armed, and various other crimes due to being the leader of MODOK. As far as anyone could follow.

Everyone then boarded a plane back to New York.

"Did this just happen?" V asked. "This feels crazy.

"It it really is," Smokey agreed.

Something in the overhead compartment shifted. The stewardess opened it, and Gwen jumped out.

"Thank you!" She said to the stewardess. "Man, that was cramped. Good to be out in the light of day!"

Wade Wilson was looking forward to a relaxing night at home, after the craziness of the past few days. He had Goose tucked in his one arm. He opened his apartment. Little rubber ducks were everywhere. Over the counters, on the bookshelves. He opened the fridge. There was a rubber duck.

Goose meowed, then tentacled the duck.

"That's cannibalism, Goose." Wade put down Goose, then went to nap. His cheek hit saran wrap.

"Fuck you, Murdock!" Wade yelled.

I recently found myself retweeting someone who said, "please don't use the age of consent or Japanese culture to excuse pedophilia and loli culture", and I full heartedly agree. That is though, if the person is using the excuse to actually take part in child pornography, and if they aren't forcing American culture onto the Japanese.

Let me just say before hand that this is a bit of a reach, but that call-out post (as misinformed as it was) seems to have a strong vendetta against not only ichikawa but Japanese manga and anime as a whole. Claiming that every single one of ichikawas works has themes of incest or pedophilia in them when they haven't. Do you people actually believe that the Japanese are so imoral, that they are so corrupt and disgusting. That they would allow for child pedophila to be written about so openly by an author who has suddenly become so mainstream? This is what I mean when I think that all of you People like to be fake woke and act all superior to everyone, news flash! Japan's isn't a lawless country, if ichikawa had actually done anything wrong I'm sure they'd idk be arrested and not have an anime created for one of their mangas 🤔.

And even though one or two of her past works from seven years ago. So yes the hatred for the art does lose them some credibility, they can't separate someone's art stlye from their intentions, which is dumb because people can't help their art style.

I saw a ton of people jumping on their high horses about the fans of the show and telling them to die (surprise surprise), I'd highly ask for more people to apply a little more critical thinking and thoughts of their own. Already their has been a second post detailing every inaccurate and false thing they talk about. Can you really follow the opinion of someone who so obviously has bias and is so severely wrong in so many of their points. Pedophilia and incest are Terrible, disgusting, one of them I wouldn't mind people getting life sentences over. But what isn't wrong is writing about it in a neutral sense. Contrary to popular belief (on this website) there isn't just two sides of good and evil and you sacks can't put someone who doesn't explain their unusual and weird art on the same side as the likes of, the manga author that got caught with actual child porn, all the sexual harassers and rapists, and all of the literal murders that exist. Peeves about fanfictions

If you don't like rants, ignore this post. And yes swear-words are included. I am focusing mostly on  Fairy tail FF, but any of this peeves applies to any other FF out there.

Also warning for spelling and grammar.

We all know fanfictions are more or less... “write it freely thing”,no rules or “you must do this and that”. I get it. But for fucks sake, it dosent mean you can blame everything on the write-as-you-want thing. Hell no. Professional or amateur writer docent matter, nobody will read your fanfiction or

Here are some of the biggest peeves about fanfictions:

1)  Despite this fanfic taking existing characters, the characters used could be someone else.

If you use an existing character, get their personality right. If the characters you use act different and talk different than the ones from the anime or movie you chosen to write your fanfiction about, you can as well change their names to something else. Even if we interpret things different,and why they act certain way does not mean a character can do a 180 degrees turn in their personality.

Sometimes the character from anime/movie acts as the real one would do, and then change into a...well.. a really bad OC.

2)   Author says the fanfiction is based in the already existing world of manga/movie, but none of the existing rules we already know exist in the story, the characters are way off (or only one or 2,while the others act as they normally would), the plot of their fanfictions is disconnected from the world and breaks most of that worlds rules.

No. The “Im just creative” - excuse does NOT excuse your ignorance to details,existing most important rules and simply not wanting to keep yourself within those said rules. If you want to bend rules, learn what they are first. When you know them, you will know:

* how to break them in right way

* what consequences and impact it will have on the story line and the characters

* what those consequences will lead to, and with options will be off-limits due to the rules being broken,and what new possible opportunities have opened up and why.

Remember. IF a rule that exists in the world your characters live in is broken, consequences is a MUST. If you re-invent a rule/rules in that world, you have re-made the world itself with is fine, but do NOT pretend that those characters are still in the same world they are in the anime. Be CLEAR about what is different and what isn't.

3) Pacing goes from 0 to 100 within one paragraph.

Chill.The hell. Out. there is so many details and information missing that NOTHING makes sense here. take time to explain how,when,why and where.

Take us slowly from beginning to the middle and to the end.

4) writers OC is the so called Mary Sue.

I don't believe in Mary Sues,only in bad writing.But holy shit, I know what people mean with Mary Sue. Fairy Tail fandom (and a lot of others too) are FULL of those. When your FT character can:

*open gate to Celestial world (or any other world) at any time without consequences, enter that said world without problem, and is a celestial dragon slayer,and then is an amaaaazing healer, and lets not forget that character sounds like a Lucy Heartfilia,Natsu Dragneel and Wendy mix, then you know you have created a character based on traits you admire in main characters, so you take those out,and put them into one character to show how a “good character looks like”. No offence,but if this character can do all this things, whats the point of having any other character in your fanfic? This one can already do everything, knows everything, uses magic left and right, have no issue travelling to other worlds and is well known powerhouse then sorry princess,your oc have serious issues.

*the OC is. EVERYWHERE. At all times. Sees every single crucial to plot thing, sees all problems that  arise, know why and how, and know automatically how to solve them.

*the OC knows other characters from the very beginning even if they haven't met them. If the other character is well -known (like Natsu aka salamander), then they can react surprised or shocked or happy or whatever you want when they hear his name as in “Oh so HE is from FT and he is the famous Salamander”. They should NOT know who is who after 5min with one of the other characters we already know.

The reader is probably a fan,so no need to go into super-deep detail about an existing character people have been followed in the series your ff is based on. the details about your own OC(s) you kick into their world is the interesting part. The new rules that you have added (maybe linked to previous events fans had seen? ) and why they exist is the interesting part, and how the characters deal with that. Does it affect them? Does it destroy their life? Does it interfere with their job or life, making it harder/easier?

New stuff need explanation, the stuff we seen can be named to and described to help us see what is happening where.

3) Flirty characters end up being written as stalkers, perverts, rapists, or someone who dosent respect the opposite genders “no”, intrudes into their personal space and is in  constant “I wanna do them”-mood.

Dude. I know. Interpretation thing again yea yea. There are still lines between “a little OOC” and “so OOC the character became someone else”. 

Yes I look at you who write about Loke damn it. Or Ezio. Or any other existing flirty character. Stop it. Take your time to get FAMILIAR with the character.

If you intend to overdo a character for comedy's sake,you will need to make everyone else behave off as well. If ALL other characters behave exactly as you would expect them to expect in anime/game/movie and only the character you make as the main one for your FF behaves WAY off, it makes your fanfic unbelievable not to mention a pain to read. And IF there is a reason why the flirty one acts off and not the rest of them, you need to have a reason for that.

4) writers dislike of certain character makes them change that character into a total dick who gains everything for free, and any relationship that hated character had is eliminated or changed so much it makes that character into someone else.

Poor Lisanna Strauss.

when she came back, people hated her. For no fucking reason. And most fanfics that involves her (In the Fairy Tail FF-world) go like this:

*Lisanna is a bitch

*Natsu-team is a bitch to Lucy

*Lucy cries and runs away, and either becomes evil, or ends up screwing around with someone 24/7 and now hates FT because Lisanna is back.

What.The actual FUCK.

Okay.If you want to write about Lisanna being mean, you need to start with an idea WHY. Basing it on “she was with Natsu first” does not hold for more than 1 second. They were not a pair when she poofed from FT. They were not MARRIED.

Biggest insult becomes the “Lucy you are weak go to hell”-attitude ENTIRE guild ends up having. You broke the biggest damn plot-related rule.

���“NAKAMA SUPPORTS TOGETHER. NAKAMA IS FAMILY,AND NAKAMA HELP EACH OTHER OUT IN THE TIME OF NEED.“

Second thing you need is slower progression to WHY she is a dick. Why is she going against her nakama? Why are her old friends siding with her?

And no. No. Lucy being weak is your damn opinion. While you can write as if Lisanna thinks that, the OTHER characters change in one second flat. if they start thinking like Lisanna, you need. A freaking reason. WHY. And keep them in character as much as possible.

Can you really imagine Makarov say “yea they are right you suck” to one of FT members? If he decides to side with Lisanna, you need to keep his way of talking intact. Act as an actual old, wise and calm adult, not like some teenager who sides with his bully-buddys.

5) Characters that are not known for being power-houses in series become described as weak-ones. And everyone else thinks so too! No valid explanation, just pure hate from start to end.

Not being a official powerhouse in the movie/manga sucks. If they are not official they always end up being hated in FF. Once again, writers personal opinion takes over and creates this weird “let us kick down this character” instead of neutrally look at the weakness and strengths of that character.

6) “I found a girlfriend for The King so now I can live in human world forever and loose nothing” (Fairy Tail Fandom strikes again).

LucyxLoke shippers. Oh dear gosh,so many idiotic reasons they can find to make Loke stay in human world forever is... countless. few of those reasons are good.

7) Blaming every plot hole, bad details, badly laid out information, bad character development, bad personalities mm on “I am amateur author”.

okay... I found Hiccup's Family name "Horrendous Haddock" intreaguing. so I desided to look it up. and lo and behold this are the results of my tiny useless research:

"Berk" based in the Oxforddictionary, means "stupid person" or in our terms is known as an "idiot". the Devs of HTTYD (and the author) purposfully put it that way to (possibly) indicate that the people living in that island are stupid and that they can't decide or move for themselves unless being told to, hence the stubborn and roudy behaviors they display. like the time where they were one-sighted towards dragons who they saw only as pests until Hiccup proved that they were more than that as shown in the first HTTYD. and in other instances, in the short film "the gift if the Night fury" on the part where the dragons had to leave Berk to lay their young, the fist and emidiate reaction they did was to hall in on Hiccup frantically asking him "where have thier dragons gone off to?" as well as the part where NO ONE find Fishlegs suspicious other than when Hiccup did. And if it was not for that, Hiccup wouldn't have brought the dragons back to Berk. To sum it all up, Hiccup (and the rest of the line of previous Chiefs) Provided their people with almost everything they need. and as per mentioned earlier regarding the the Haddock it states that it is an "Important food fish" and in other words, Hiccup's family of Chiefs is the main root of Berk's sustainability. Although, not All of the Berkians respect the name. which gives the spotlight to the second name being "Horrendous"

Yeah it was the jumping everywhere that really got me like I'm trying to apply what I just learner about a character to what I perceived of them and it takes a second, but there's something else to listen to and apply immediately so I don't have time to learn.

And it's not how fast they're talking, that's not my problem. My family talks so fast that every time I tried talking to someone else of the first like 7 years of my life I had to purposely slow down. I hear what they're saying, but I don't have time to put those words into the character, or figure out which character.

In ss characters will pause and contemplate and consider, because it's a debate. Debates are half listening and half argument. The listening half is shown, not skipped over like it is in cartoon therapy. In ss a character might say " no wait, let's think about/ talk about that for a second" and then there's a bit of shuffling and some agreement before it'll pick up again. This little bit of time in which everyone , including the audience, is changing moving to a different topic together is really what cartoon therapy lacks. Cartoon therapy is rushed arguing that dosent guide the audience along the path of conversation.

In cartoon therapy all the time spent changing the course of the conversation is a jump cut transition that I'm trying to use to figure out why that man had a fidget spinner 4 and a half minutes ago, and what she ment by kids? Like do they have kids? Is she a teacher? A nurse? Pediatrion? Does she run an orphanage? And then next thing I know where talking about amythest and it's been 5 minutes and I still understand nothing about these characters.

All the time is spent trying to get to the cartoon, and it feels like none is spent on basic characterisation sucha as: occupation, personality, or goals.

In the sides thier names in the beginning give us thier personality and occupation. And thier goals is stated to help Thomas. Thomas always explains to them/ the audience the entire background for the problem.

After this I know enough about the characters andthier situation to sit back and watch. The task is no longer trying to understand the world. It is now watching how it unfolds.

I'm spending so much time scrambling for the basics in cartoon therapy that I'm missing them when there given, a third of the way into the video. I can't follow because these characters are acting without reason, and the setting dosent have much room for that.

That's what makes this so hard and stressful to watch.

The whole watching cartoon therapy thing? I got to ten minutes before I was too fried to actually watch it. It’s just so frustrating? I want to watching but I can’t? There’s no time? It’s always think this and think that and I just?

Like with the sides there’s less thinking. There’s time to sit and accept what they’re talking about. The sides is also slower paced and had more natural pauses so if I need to pause I can.

And also you just kinda know what characters are right off the bat? So like I don’t have to think “ wow he magiced up some friends! That one seems really friendly, and he’s like a dad, so maybe he represents a love for wholesomeness family shenanigans” which is 100% not the entirety of Patton. But I started with a basis for what he was and he grew from there. He was never at any point not Thomas’s morality, Patton has always been Thomas’s morality. The one time he wasn’t that wasn’t even Patton, but the build up was slow and subtle and easy to digest so I could see it and it didn’t hurt.

But with the cartoon therapy? I’m so lost. Who are theses people? They just said something how is that relevan- and it’s gone. Every second is so filled with something that I just can’t process anything :/ like people get angry and there’s no build up. A lot of places feel like they should pause but they don’t so everything in that video is like this long run on sentence where you can’t breathe and you have to keep going but you can’t know what’s going on you just keep going and going even though your heart rate picked up because they’re angry, god why are they angry, no time for that because now someone else is talking. It’s like I just wanted to watch it but not I feel really stupid because I can’t follow all the jumping around, and there’s so many references that I get, but I don’t have time to contextualise it.

I’d probably do better if it was couple #1 and picani for a part of the video and then couple#2 and picani then #3 and picani but I can’t? Follow? Three? Plots? At ? Once? It’s so tiring to try and figure it out and I’m so stupid because everyone else can and I just? I can’t breathe and watch it?

I am planning on switching car insurance providers b/c: 1.) My car got stolen 01/25/2013 and I only had liability coverage (car was a 1996 Nissan Maxima) 2.) I was hit in October 2012 and it was not my fault and received settlement money b/c my car was deemed a total loss 3.) With that money I put a down payment on a used car this past weekend b/c now I truly had no car 4.) I now need full coverage to my current policy and replace the old car with the newer one but the 6-month premium is too high. While shopping around for car insurance, I found an auto quote that was A LOT more affordable than if I were to stick with my current insurance. With that being said, I had a lot of questions. I got into a car accident in May 2012 and it was my fault. No one was hurt and no air bags deployed. My insurance paid the damages. Now, if I cancel my policy with them, does that mean that I have to pay the insurance company back the money for the damages they covered to the other car? My other question is how much information do I disclose when applying for a new auto policy? I have of course included the at-fault accident in May and I also included the accident that was not my fault. Before these 2 accidents, I had one just one that was in a parking lot. The other driver and I were deemed both at fault, 50/50. Damage to his car was around $700. That was 3 years ago. The insurance company I was looking into said online to include accidents that were at least 51% your fault and accidents that weren't your fault too. While shopping for car insurance, I usually use a fake name/address with all my real information (DOB, driving record, etc) just so I don't get a bunch of annoying calls/emails from every company I get a quote from. The fake email address I always use got an email the other day, which basically said that when they ran a credit check they consumer reporting agency couldn't provide a full credit history (not surprising seeing as they were checking on a name that doesn't exist). The thing that concerns me is that being only 19, I also don't have much of a credit history (the only credit I do currently have is a card I got a month ago). I couldn't really tell from the email (since I didn't read it too closely, I was really just clearing out the fake inbox) but I'm not sure if they were saying We couldn't get a credit history on you, if we had been able to, the rate you were quoted could have been lower or something more drastic like because we couldn't find a credit history, the quote we gave is no longer valid and either they won't cover me or will charge way more. I was backing out of a parking lot and I hit a van coming up. Considering the fact that the parking lot was nearly empty neither one of us saw each other coming. I did pull off pretty fast but not too fast. Their was no damage to my car, but he had a small dent on the side of his nothing major. We called the police cause he was older and felt safer doing that. The police said nothing will go on our records, but didn't say whose at fault. So we just exchanged insurance info. Does this mean nothing will happen, or will my mom go crazy when she finds out? How much of an increase would this cause her insurance to go up?
