Omg my first ask in this blog this is exciting!

I was thinking she THINKS she killed him, and so do all the other toads, but he survived somehow and is currently hiding. She won a far victory through trial by combat at age 13, taking his good arm and letting him fall to his death into a river dozens of feet below. Humilliated and unable to wield weapons properly, Grime claws his way to Newtopia, hoping to regain his position once the royal guard drives this impostor away. However, though the newts agree that he might ne helpful, they do not intend to give Toad Tower back to the toad that lost it to a 13 year old.

So... he's kinda of out of options. He can try to take Toad Tower by force, though without the support of the other towers (all of which have pledged allegiance to Sasha, who's trying to concentrate all towers under her command) the Newtopian Guard would put him in jail in no time. Taking the throne is out of the question. Simple revenge is tempting, even if it won't get him anywhere, but he's too depressed to actually make the effort. Which lands him in the unlikely position of... doing nothing for some time, maybe renting a room at a shitty inn in the outskirts of Newtopia, getting drunk, growing out his beard, recovering from losing his arm a little. Eventually, he ends up forming an unlikely friendship with the last person you'd expect - that weird kid that calls herself a newt despite not looking like a newt at all and knocks on his door everyday to bug him for more information on Sasha, waving the "Wanted" poster on his face and pointing at her own.

So, I'm listening to TMA (ep 93) and well, the whole "You are tied to the Institute, and the Institute is tied to me" revelation from The Rat Bastard (Elias) happened recently And I'm just getting into the lore, I don't know shit, so when I had a silly idea, I asked my friend: "Hey, Elias is the heart of the Institute or whatever he is , will it hurt him if you kick shelves or slam the door on purpose?"

They said no (sad), but that doesn't stop from thinking about a crack fic like this? Like:

Danny sighed, taking a deep breath- in for ten, out for eight- as he set the pot he was cleaning back in the sink. Dan- currently six- came running in from the living room of the apartment, where he was watching TV. Or he should have been if not for the bullshit outside. 

He sighed again, picking up baby Ellie- currently closer to two- out of her highchair (even if she could just float out) and let his oldest drag him to the window. Sure enough, another fight was happening, with no vigilante in sight stopping it. Look, he knew most people didn’t live here, but it was still rude. 

“Jordan, remember how I told you how violence isn’t always the answer?” Danny asked sweetly, Dan’s expression shifting to a wicked grin as he opened the window. “Feel free to practice tossing some fireballs while I clean up your sister, yeah?” 

Ah, the sweet sound of surprised cursing and startled ecto-signatures. Maybe they’d be polite enough to take their spar elsewhere.

now what does the average piltover citizen think is happening in arcane. civically speaking. you have 7 council members (a seemingly life-long, non-elected position) and then one of them decides to court pack with her fwb, the in-world equivalent of thomas edison (a few years after the same council almost banished him) and then weeks after his historic appointment, the same guy ousts the immortal founder of your country with absolutely no political pushback from the public (despite the fact that he might have been on this council since its inception?) but ig this evens things out back to 7 seats. your founder disappears and is never seen again btw.

then three of your council members die in a terrorist attack and there is no attempt made to fill their seats. 3 of the remaining council members vote 2-1 to start a war on the city’s most impoverished citizens without the 4th living council member, who morally opposed the invasion. a council members’ mom shows up to incite violence and her daughter is actively trying to get her to leave. despite not even being a resident, this general from another country names a deceased council members’ daughter the New Military Dictator. (unclear why she didn’t just assume her mother’s seat on the council because it’s an inherited position but ig the sheriff was a more important position to fill??) and again no opposition from the general public as she starts gassing citizens. then one council member kills the other with a big hammer but who knows if this is ever reported because then nicola tesla jesus shows up with an army to fight a war on your soil with 1 million robots.

then edison and tesla disappear into a big ball of light, meaning only 2 of your og council members are still alive and at this point it has taken months to get back to a functioning government. imagine being a city employee during all that. who do you even ask to sign your checks. i just know the bathroom of the local newspaper office is swimming in like. steampunk cocaine
