Hey y'all! I didn't get many requests for particular pride flags or pride plushies this pride month, but I did get a few requests for an intersex pride something. The intersex pride flag (like a few other flags) is more difficult for me to make, because a symbol is harder to incorporate into an oddly-shaped plushie than just stripes, and the circle will have to be* appliqued by hand so I'd prefer to limit the number of circles. So far, I have three ideas: 1. one of my pride bees (a very round bee consisting of three stripes) that's yellow with a purple stripe in the middle. There wouldn't be a flat ring, but the stripe would kind of form a ring? 2. a yellow dog plushie with a purple ring around its eye like the dog from Little Rascals. Idk how well known that dog is anymore or if it would be recognizable, but it's a one-applique option? I could also include purple patches on the back that are not rings, like the dog's markings in the show (in the movie? to be honest, I just remember the ring around the dog's eye) 3. a blue ringed octopus but the rings are purple. I think this would be awesome but I don't want to applique that many rings by hand and haven't found a fabric with the rings at quite the right scale and density for this project, so this is probably a longer-term one but I do want to make it eventually Do y'all have opinions on any of these, or any other ideas? For intersex pride plushies or for other pride plushies, I've had some work and some family things come up this month that mean I have not gotten as much sewing done this month as I wanted to, and I do love making pride plushies and would love more suggestions *yes, there are a few other ways I could possibly do that, but functionally with the way I make things it'd be by hand

i think even if kondraki did transition she would still be greasy and smell weird. except instead of it just being sweat and hair grease its also conditioner grease and expired perfume smell. she flips her hair over an open candle by accident and it just creates the Worst smell possible from 30+ hair products melting into it

if you must use a protein mask/rice water for your hair i recommend using it in combination with a deep conditioner ESPECIALLY if your hair is prone 2 dryness or damaged from heat or coloring

the idea of jack making all sorts of home movies with the boys is soooooo special to me.

we see him in the very beginning, filming them setting up at the community center, but the camera is never shown again. but that would be weird if he just like,,, decided to very briefly film the boys one day and never again, right? i bet he probably has plenty of previous tapes of them.

i'm imagining things like christmas and big life events and fun trips and other community center dances.

videos of all their christmases together, gathered around a tree full of fun ornaments like golf balls, donuts, and spiderman. gifts underneath wrapped at varying levels of quality (arnold would be the best imo). the room all decked out in holiday decorations, not all of them necessarily christmas.

the boys on a day trip to lake michigan, a trunk jammed full of various beach day supplies. lucien wearing spiderman swim trunks, norman with a big inner tube made to look like a donut, arnold slathered in sunscreen. i think barry would love being in a lake, feeling the gentle lapping of the waves. he'd spend some of their time off on his own, and jack would observe him, enjoying seeing him at peace. later in the day, they'd build the biggest sand castle any of them had ever seen. all of them would be beaming with pride.

jack catching norman and sheila's first dance (not knowing those two would eventually hit it off!!). he'd film arnold going all out on the dance floor, not a care in the world as to what other people might think. though rare, he'd have a few clips of barry bopping along to the music.

a video of norman on his first day at the donut shop, before and after. before, he's nervous, of course, but he's also excited. excited to be around sweet treats all day, getting to meet new people, and having some new responsibilities. afterward, he's clearly beat, but he can't stop raving about his day. jack is sitting behind his camera with a big grin on his face, happy to see one of his guys so excited and proud of himself.
