Its awesome how many studies about trans men are like ">70% of trans men interviewed continue to experience menstrual-like cramping while on testosterone therapy even though menstruation has stopped" and the three conclusions drawn are either "this is probably something we should look into to see if we need to change something about how we do HRT for trans men to make it better for them," (which gets ignored by the medical community) "I need research funding to prove that HRT is mutilating and killing our poor teenage girls," or "if its over 70% its probably fiiiine lmao"

Trans tumblr users: Be on guard of increased transphobia.
Trans woman (Robin M Westman) shot 16 children, killing two, yesterday (8/27/25). So expect an increase in media transphobia, online harassment, and politians using an act of violence from one person as a way to push legislation against the entire community.
If people react to this the way they reacted to Aiden Hale, we can expect raiding of trans online spaces, so if you have a public discord I'd suggest making it private and turn of Tumblr anons or even turn off asks completely for the next couple weeks to avoid harrasment, make sure your DMs are mutuals only, and that you don't have any private information in pinned post or bio.
Article on the shooting with least amount of transphobia: Here
Stay safe and remember that anyone who uses this tragedy to promote a transphobic agenda is a piece of shit that's using the death of children to peddle hate.

are transmascs/men "making everything about them" or are you incapable of reacting normally to seeing a transmasculine person doing anything ever

“Masc lesbian shortage” is forever a red flag to me bc 9 times out of 10 when you ask them what they mean they’re like “they keep transitioning 😭 to MEN😭”. Stop fucking complaining about trans people existing and go give a transmasc 100$ rn

Nothing more humiliating then being a butch late to a date that you planned. Like "Oh sorry, the bus was delayed - yeah I don't have a car. Let me buy you a coffee. Oh, you already got one and a pastry, I see. Guess I'll go to the back room and kms 😔"

So here's what happened on Reddit:
A transmasc posted about how transmascs and trans men are often invisible, how our issues are dismissed, and how resources, especially medical ones, are almost always written with non transmascs in mind. They posted this both to r/Trans and r/lgbt.
A moderator of r/Trans responded by telling them to “stop bitching.” That’s the word they used. That’s the level of respect trans men get. Transandrophobic by the way, don't call trans men bitches.
The comment was deleted, quietly, after backlash. Then the entire post was removed. When asked why, a mod responded that the post was “playing oppression olympics,” and took the time to go through and dismiss each of the original poster’s points, including saying that trans men being sexually assaulted isn’t “unique to transmascs” and therefore not an issue, and claiming that access to testosterone isn’t any more restricted than access to estrogen, which is a straight-up lie, because T is a tightly controlled substance in most places and E is not.
The original poster was banned for three days.
Then a separate mod made a post saying, “nobody asked us our side of the story,” which is wild because people absolutely did, publicly and repeatedly. Users also started reporting that they’d had supportive comments removed or had been banned after disagreeing with the mods, some of those claims are still unconfirmed, but given the general behavior, it wouldn’t be surprising.
Then r/Trans locked down entirely. No new posts. The conversation was forcibly ended.
Some people posted about it on r/FTM, many of those posts were mass-reported, automatically removed by Reddit’s automod, or quietly buried. Meanwhile, r/lgbt also removed the original post, with no explanation.
One of the r/Trans mods eventually posted an “apology,” which was really just a soft-scrubbed PR post full of noncommittal language and distancing. They said they didn’t mean to call a trans man “a bitch,” they just used it synonymously with “complaining,” and they didn’t think about the implications until later even though the first post was about microaggressions just like the mod committed. They did not apologize for anything else, not for wrongfully banning people, not for accusing a transmasc venting like any other user of playing oppression olympics, nothing at all. They said they’re on break and can’t do anything about it. They said, and I quote, “please don’t be mad at the rest of the team.” even though the rest of the team are just as culpable for not stopping their behavior.
They also added that trans men are “a welcome part of the community” and tried to point at moderation history as proof. Because apparently we should be grateful that people occasionally get banned, every so often, for implying trans men aren't oppressed at all, wow, thanks, that is like below the bare minimum, cool.
The current state of things is: r/Trans has over 600,000 members, and trans men and transmascs were silenced, banned, and told to shut up for bringing up their own oppression. And the subreddit is locked down. There’s a mass exodus happening to the new sub, r/trans4every1, but let’s be real, the damage has already been done.
Now let’s talk about what this actually means.
This is not “just more Tumblr discourse.” This isn’t some random blog saying they don’t like transmascs. This isn’t a Twitter reply guy. This isn’t a niche zine or a spicy personal take. This is a massive trans-focused subreddit with over half a million users. It's easily one of the largest public facing trans community online, maybe even the largest, I've certainly never found a bigger one myself. And the moderation team made it crystal clear: they do not want transmascs to feel safe or welcome there.
This is what transandrophobia looks like on a slightly larger internet scale. When it’s in the hands of people who get to decide who gets heard and who gets deleted.
And for anyone who’s still stuck on “well they apologized” listen: trans men are told all the time that we’re being too loud, too angry, too entitled, too manly, too feminine, too confusing, too “binary,” too "Nonbinary", too much. We’re told that we’re “oppression olympics-ing” just for talking about our lives. And now we're getting banned and locked out of the spaces that claim to represent a huge portion of online trans people.
This isn't just online drama. This is a bellwether. And if it isn’t setting off alarms in your head, it should be.
The way transandrophobia manifests in online spaces absolutely bleeds into real life, into medical gatekeeping, into poor data collection, into the erasure of sexual violence against transmascs, into advocacy groups that write us out of the picture, into educational materials that treat us like footnotes, if they include us at all.
And if you’re sitting there thinking, “well it’s not that deep,” you’re part of the problem.
We need to start being more honest about this: Transandrophobia is real, it is widespread, and it is growing. We need to stop giving people the benefit of the doubt when they’ve shown us they don’t want us in the room.
And frankly?
We need to start making TRFs [Trans Radfems & transmasc-exclusionary feminists alike] deeply uncomfortable being open about their beliefs. We need to make them afraid to be TRFs, the way they’re trying to make us afraid to exist.
The same way we don’t coddle fascists. The same way we don’t tolerate TERFs. We need to stop tiptoeing around transandrophobia.
Because this growing wave of transandrophobia is going to kill people. Full stop.
Protect trans men. Protect transmascs. Protect your siblings; all of them!
Edit because I forgot to add it:
Another thing worth noting is that not only was r/trans deleting and banning any users and posts talking about the situation, they were deleting any posts talking about transmasc issues or transmasc positivity full stop.
Even when those posts had nothing to do with the current issue. They were being silenced. They were being actively erased, in a trans space.

People screaming “but you’re MEN, that means you’re PRIVILEGED” at trans men in the face of those trans men and mascs bringing up systemic inequalities they face will always make me feel like bashing my head through the nearest wall.
Like… yeah. Your theory doesn’t account for our materially lived lives and conditions as marginalized men and mascs. That’s the problem. Yelling at us that we need to fit into your theory neatly isn’t going to make our lives fit what you think they are. All it does is let you pretend that we’re properly accounted for when we aren’t because we’ve been erased.

Something really powerful I saw someone say in a discussion around harm, conflict, and justice was that it's not our job to recreate the criminal justice system specifically in determining what happened between people. If someone is accused of causing harm and agrees they caused harm and has taken steps to be a safer person, that's really all an org or community space can ask for if the people they are in direct conflict with are not present. I thought this was really powerful, specifically this idea of not determining what happened between people. It doesn't matter unless you're a person involved or a mediator in a process between them. The rest is just social ostracisation as punishment.
The reason that there's a famous "anti-cancel culture" pivot from people who get "cancelled" is that the social technology of ostracisation sucks complete shit. It's torture by everyone's definition, actually. It's a punishment everyone who ever receives it agrees should never be done to anyone, even their worst enemies. Nobody who talks about this is able to adequately explain to the people who think that they aren't the bad guy in anyone's story and have never done anything wrong, so people just roll their eyes and say "here's the why I left the left pivot again", but yknow, sie wissen dass nicht aber sie tun es
We are facing impossible odds and need more robust community organising, having seen it from both sides multiple times it is very obvious that the desire to push and push until someone who hurt you ceases to exist is deeply unhealthy as well as being bad for everyone's ability to organise. People waste time in orgs that could be spent helping people trying to figure out what to do with someone that someone else read a post about.
Imagine a left wing movement in which there is a clear path to people embracing change and moving forward and get involved in helping people. It would snowball, it would be unstoppable. If we have made utopian bubbles for ourselves and our friends to enjoy all having the same politics together and we refuse to let that bubble burst and shatter and recoalesce and shatter again we never change the world around us towards our politics. The way conflict is so frequently handled in queer and leftist spaces is just policing the borders of the bubble

June 4, 2025 - Dockers at a major French port on Wednesday refused to load a container with machine gun spare parts bound for Israel, saying they “will not take part in the ongoing genocide (in Gaza) orchestrated by the Israeli government,” according to broadcaster Franceinfo.
Dockers at the port of Marseille-Fos have set aside a container containing "spare parts for machine guns," and they "will not load it onto the ship bound for Haifa" in Israel, the Gulf of Fos branch of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) announced in a statement.
The union confirmed that it was alerted by several networks that 19 pallets of Eurolink belts were to be shipped to Israel on Thursday. The Eurolink belts are spare parts for machine guns used by the Israeli army.
"The port of Marseille-Fos must not be used to supply the Israeli army. The dockworkers and port staff of the Gulf of Fos will not take part in the ongoing genocide orchestrated by the Israeli government. We stand for peace among people. We condemn all these armed conflicts that bring death, misery, and the displacement of populations," it added. [link]/[link]

Moving away from tumblr
This summer I will be moving off of Tumblr and onto a personal website hosted through neocities that I've been working on for a little over a year.
I have a number of reasons for making this move. I believe that tumblr staff and policies have proven themselves time and time again to be aggressively transphobic and racist. I believe that tumblr drama is actively harmful to productive discourse on politics, leftism, and trans/queer issues. And I believe that I can spend my time more productively elseware.
I am also tired of the harrasment. I have been sent death threats for years. I have been sent rape threats for years. I have been sent detailed torture fantasies from people who have nothing better to do then wish me harm for being a trans man that refuses to sit still and look pretty. I have had my private life dug up and posted to Google documents. I have spent years having PTSD responses to my own Tumblr handle and had to change my middle name to avoid it. I've dealt with seeing my name censored like a slur and have tried to do damage control over call out posts that have lead to minors being exposed to my private kink blog. I have spent over eight years being harrased on this website and I have told myself that I can take the punishment if it means I'm providing a voice for those who don't have one.
I'm tired. I'm not done with activism, I'm not done with trans liberation, I'm not going to shut up any time soon. But I'm tired and I am no longer accepting active harm to mental health from this hell site (deragatory).
I will share my website when it is up. I will be archiving posts that I deam important both to the internet archive and to my website. If you wish to archive any of my posts via the way back machine, you should do so within the next month or so.
