a better ending for Naruto: Shippuden than the actual ending is what if Sasuke died sacrificing himself to save the world alongside Kaguya. I just wanted to tell you that I Have Never Loved a Darker Blue is an incredible piece of fanfiction. I adore how you characterize the Konoha 11 and Team 7.

I also LOVE how you integrate modern things so naturally by sticking with the 80s sort of vibe of the modern bits. You breathed more dynamicism and life into the culture of Konoha. I LOVE how you do this so naturally by exploring the theme of lost youth with Sasuke, it makes so much sense that youth would be a novel worthy exploration for his character.

Another massive shoutout I want to give you is for your romance pacing and writing, it feels so authentic, both to the characters themselves and to the experience of slowly unfurling love and the uncertainty in dynamics like that between Naruto and Sasuke.

This brings me to my final fuck yes for now, I love how you write queer love and I hope this piece continues to be explored, how it mingles with their characters identity, and roles within society. I’d love for you to broach this idea in Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship when he becomes Hokage (also would love love love an engagement/wedding plot from you since you’re so gifted with writing their bond, but that’s me being greedy for your incredible talent in this realm)

omg sorry it took me so long to get to this ive been crazy busy... i love characterisation compliments..... keep 'em coming ehe to be fair, the 80s thing is kind of kishimoto's doing!! he really went for it, especially at the begining of the manga, then i think it would create some plot wholes and he abandoned the technology vibes a bit more. but i LOVE including that aspect in :) lost youth.... so sad.... yet so real..... yay! im so so glad you like the romance pacing. i think i took my time exactly because it feels truer to their characters and i'm always happy to know that comes across and resonates with the readers. QUEER LOVE. *big sigh* I hope to tackle this side of things more too when Naruto (potentially 👀) becomes hokage, or how his sexuality/relationship w sasuke will become a challenge in this regard. My idea rn is to do a second part of the fic (making it into a series) which will focus more on Naruto's struggle of becoming (or not, im not sure myself) hokage, and their lives as older adults (so yes! marriage and.... kids 👀). Here it is. The most waited time of my life. I can now return to my home country and meet my old friends again. You were excited to return home from your work abroad. You are inside the plane, waiting for the plane to land, and in the meantime, you look out from the window at the beautiful scenery of your place. Though you were just given a 2-month vacation, it was a perfect chance to have fun with your friends before you resume your work. You wonder if they changed a lot after all those years. Of course, you also changed into a beautiful young woman. But the thing that you want is if they already had children, especially your best friends, Hinata, Ino, Sakura, and Tenten. And you wonder who married or caught Sasuke first, Sakura or Ino. You laughed at the thought.

As the plane landed, you can't contain the excitement. You are ready to leave and waiting for the pilot to say they can now exit the plane. You hurriedly sprinted outside the big flying vehicle and went to the port where your friends were waiting. After you got your baggage, you let a smile creep on your face as you exited the port. And there you saw them waving at you, your smile grew wider as you felt really really excited. You ran in their direction and gave your best friends a big tight hug. "I'm back!" You said happily. They all chuckled.

"Welcome home! We miss you!" They chorused. The five of you broke the hug and you looked at the males, Kiba, Shino, Choji, Shikamaru, Neji, Lee, and Sasuke were there, but you didn't see the blonde. You noticed that they all changed, the girls were more beautiful and the boys became handsome. "Welcome back [Name]..." Choji greeted as he munched on his cracker. "You never stop eating" You chuckled. "Here, I'll handle this" Lee grabbed the baggage from you and carry it by himself. "Thanks, Lee" You thanked him, and he just blushed slightly and nodded.

"Come on, let's go and celebrate your arrival," Kiba said then ruffled his hair. "Oh come on, you men didn't welcome [Name] properly on her arrival," Ino said, Kiba just shrugged. After your arrival, they went to their favorite ramen shop, the Ichiraku Ramen. You guys had fun while going there, talking some stuff about the [h/l] [h/c]-colored female's job and her relationship. "So, [Name]. You still don't have a boyfriend yet?" Sakura asked rather mischievously as she looked at you with a smirk. "Ah, eh... I still have none" You sweat-dropped.

"Aw... Too bad, some of us already had" Ino said. You looked at them as well with the boys, Kiba had his look of 'What's with us?'. "Really?" You raised one eyebrow as you looked back at the girls. "Yup!" Tenten replied happily. "I already had Sasuke-kun," Sakura said proudly as Ino rolled her eyes at her but smiled. "Oh? So Sakura won the contest?" You smirked. They laughed. "Yeah, but I already had a husband, I haven't introduced you to him yet" Ino stated then smiled. "Tenten-san is the wife of Neji-niisan" Hinata said shyly with a low voice.

Tenten blushed. "H-Hinata!" She stammered. The boys don't seem to be bothered by all the lovey-dovey of the girls and you, and you noticed this. "Oh? How about you, Shikamaru? Do you already have a wife?" The young adult asked the spiky male. "Temari was my wife and we already had a son. His name is Shikadai" Shikamaru replied to the girl's question. You turned to Choji while he was eating and he noticed your stare and looked at you. 

"Hm...?" Choji asked as he continued eating his ramen. "Who's your wife by now, Choji?" You asked him with a smile. "My wife's name is Karui and we had a daughter named Chocho. She so cute" Choji replied with a smile plastered on his face. "Oh... I forgot! Naruto wasn't here, right?" Ino said and looked at all of you, now your heart pounded rapidly. "Naruto-kun wasn't with us when we went to the airport to greet [Name]-san on her arrival" Hinata informed the group.

"How about we call him to join us? We still have time to celebrate [Name]'s arrival and we will stay here for a while" Sakura said then grabbed her phone out from her sling bag. She dialed Naruto's number and put the phone on her ear, he waited for him to answer but he didn't pick his phone up. "Weird, Naruto usually answers his phone," Sakura said as she looked at her phone. "Maybe he's busy. Let's call him later" You told her. "Naruto has never been busy. When it comes to celebrations like this, he's always present" Shino said. You looked down at your food and then frowned.

"Don't be so down [Name]-san. We're going to visit Naruto-kun later" Hinata cheered you up, and you smiled. The gang and you finished eating for an hour, Ino told the boys that they can go home and thanked them for accompanying you and the girls. They went straight home, carrying your baggage with them. Then, the girls and you went to the mall. "We don't have to do this, you know," You told them while walking. "We have to, [Name]-san. It's your arrival, after all. We have to keep you happy from now on" Hinata smiled.

You smiled back. It's true, you have to experience happiness too. But the only problem is, the blonde didn't come. The one that you liked since you were still a child, attending the academy where the two of you met. He was very troublesome when he was little, he was always being scold by your teacher, Iruka. In contrast to that, he was very kind and helpful. Like when you were being bullied in the academy by other boys, he always come to your aid. And that's the reason you found your crush on him.

You always watch him, his actions, and his behaviors in the academy. He always wanted to become stronger than Sasuke, but in the end, he was always the loser. But you don't care about that, at least he had a goal, perseverance, and determination. And that's what you love about him. He can be an idiot, but he has a big heart. You love the blonde that was known as Naruto Uzumaki. He was your inspiration, the one who helped you improve.

His parents are very kind, when you first come to visit at his house, his mother treated you like her own child. They always thought that you were Naruto's childhood love, which made Naruto very embarrassed when they tease him. After that first visit, he would always invite you to stay in his house. You sometimes had an overnight at his place when the two of you grew older. The two of you were called the best of friends. But that doesn't mean that Naruto would stop challenging Sasuke every day, that his crush on Sakura will fade even though she's in love with Sasuke, and that Hinata's feelings for him will vanish.

Those things doesn't break your friendship with him actually, but things were worse when the two of you were 16. You were very sickly when you were younger, and you would be sent to the hospital at least thrice a week. And this made your parents and your classmates very worried, at one time, you almost died because of your sickness. The others even cried because you were confined one time, especially the girls.

You didn't attend school for 3 months and missed a lot of studies. After you recover from your illness, your parents decide that you will start home-schooling because it will be easy enough to track your health. Your teacher approves of this, but, you don't want to leave your friends, especially Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, Tenten, Lee, and Neji. They were the best friends that you made during childhood.

As you started home-school, your parents would check on you every hour. They rented teachers to teach you at home, and it became better. At home, your health is checked, and you can still learn. It's a double win, if I will say. But you lost your friends in exchange for that. And that made you very sad and depressed. You know that home-schooling is a good idea, and you have agreed to this, but in contrast to that, you don't want to be separated from your friends.

During the night, you would cry yourself to sleep because of the solitude that you had during that time. And because of that, they once visit you at home. It was unexpected, your mother didn't have time to prepare food for them, but they brought some when they came. You were more than happy just to meet your friends again, just like now.

You still remember those happy times when you were with them, and now, you were. Although a certain someone is missing, and that's the reason why you're going to visit him later. "So... What do you think of this dress, [Name]?" Sakura's voice snapped you out of your trance. "Huh? What? Sorry, I wasn't listening..." You smiled sheepishly and scratched your temple. She sighed. "Somehow, you didn't change for a bit..." She stated as she put the cloth down.

"Hey! I changed a lot, you know!" You retorted back at her. "I don't see the difference. You still had your [h/l] [h/c] hair of yours, unlike us... Sakura's hair had become smooth and had soft edges, unlike her teenage self," Tenten said as she touched the pink female's hair. "Ino's hair had become longer and her bangs became long too. Hinata's hair was cut and mine grew a little bit longer" She added, you sighed. "Well, physically, I didn't change much, but you know that I changed emotionally and mentally, right?" You replied.

"I think so" Hinata answered, you sweat-dropped. "Okay, fine..." You muttered to yourself. The girls gifted you some things that you would need during your 2-month stay in Japan, which are make-ups, dresses, a new pair of jeans, a new pair of shorts, a lots of shoes and heels, gowns, t-shirts, jackets, and other things. You hate to say no to your friends when they offer you the stuffs, which will offend them. But you don't want their money to be wasted just for you.

After the shopping, you part ways with them. You plan to visit a shop to buy a needed thing, it is a red yarn. You wanted to gift Naruto a red scarf to replace his old and destroyed one. It was when the two of you were younger, you were always being bullied by other boys. One winter day, you were just walking to the place you usually go, but they saw you and started to bully you. You were known to be the child of the most popular authors in Japan.

When they bullied you, Naruto was near and sat on a swing. He came to your aid and then helped you, but he got beaten instead. And they tore his scarf, you offered yours but he declined and ran away. You just wanted to thank him for that time and plan to knit him a new one.

After you bought the things you needed, you went straight to Naruto's home with the stuffs the girls bought for you. You rode in a taxi and it is already evening when you arrived there. You arrived at his apartment and then rang the doorbell, a loud 'Wait a minute!' answered and suddenly, he opened the door. Once he opened the door, his eyes widened to see you standing in front of his home. The two of you stared at each other for a while and then you smiled.

That made him snap out of his thoughts. "Sorry, come in. I'll carry these" He apologized then grabbed the bags from your hands as you went inside. The touch lasted for a second but it still made you blush like an idiot. When you went inside, you sat on the couch as he closed the door and then placed the bags on the table. "So... What brings you here?" He muttered his question, not looking at you. "I just arrived earlier here in Japan, and then we had lunch at Ichiraku. When we noticed that you didn't come along, I came here" You explained.

"Oh... Sorry for not coming, I was busy" He apologized. "That's fine, but Sakura called you on the phone, and you didn't answer," You told him and looked at his figure. "I set my phone to silent because I don't want to be disturbed" Naruto replied then went inside the kitchen."Oh... So busy that you didn't come to meet me when I arrived?" You asked him again. "Yeah... Sorry," He apologized once again. "That's fine, at least I meet you again" You smiled.

He made 2 tea, one for him and one for you. He placed the cup on the coffee table and you thanked him. He sat on the couch next to the one you were sitting on and drank his tea. "What's with bags?" He asked. "Oh, that? That's what the girls gifted me for my arrival" You laughed, remembering how stubborn they are to waste their money just for you. "Huh? Why are you laughing?" Naruto looked at you and raised his brow. You looked away from him when you instantly made contact with his eyes, blushing.

"So... You've grown differently, Naruto. I've always thought that your hair will be like your father's, but it isn't" You compliment him as you drink your tea. "Yeah, but I decided to cut my hair short" He replied. Then the two of you looked at each other and then smiled. It's been years since the last the two of you saw each other, and it took you 2 hours inside his house, playing and chatting. It's already 8 in the evening, and Naruto escorted you back to your home.

"Thanks for accompanying me, Naruto" You thanked him as the two of you arrived in front of your house. "No problem" He smiled. You went inside the gate, opened the door, and then got the bags from Naruto. "See you tomorrow!" He smiled and then ran outside, you waved at him and then closed the door. You noticed that the baggage was inside. They really placed my baggage inside the house, eh? I should really need to retrieve the keys to my house from them.

It's already 2 months since [Name]'s vacation in Japan, she also knit Naruto's scarf during those months, and now, it's finished. A red scarf just for him, a sign of love. "Hey! [Name]!" A loud call on you made you awake from your peaceful sleep. You groaned as you rolled over the bed, hitting your face on the cold hard floor. "Ouch!" You screamed inside your bedroom, loud enough to make them hear outside. "Geez... Wake up already [Name]!" Sakura shouted.

"I guess that they will not stop bothering me unless I wake up..." You muttered to yourself, face still planted on the floor. Then, you decided to fix yourself. They plan to have a hang-out with you again. It's the final day, you are going to leave later 5 pm. You go out of your room to have a quick bath and then changed your clothes into [f/c] T-shirt and black denims. You brush your hair and let it down for a while. After that, you went down the stairs then got the keys and your bag from the table, exited the house, and locked the doors.

"Wow! You are pretty fast when you make someone wait" Shikamaru said, you just grinned. Once you went out, you noticed that Naruto was with them. "I got this lazy one out of his house just for you," Sakura said as she pointed to Naruto, he just looked away with a blush. "That's nice," You said. "Yeah, let's go," Hinata said and then you went walking along with them.

Your destination was a mall, yet again. Once you and the others entered inside, they dragged you to a restaurant for you to eat breakfast. You didn't have time to eat because you were in a hurry earlier. After that, you go shopping with them, window shop, then play some games. It was almost noon, and they decided to take you home so that you could carry your baggage and then head straight to the airport. Once you arrive back home, you fix your things,  leaving some unneeded things, and carry the ones you want to have with you.

It was already 4:45, only minutes left to go to the airport. They accompanied you to the airport as Lee carried your baggage again. Once you were there, they bid goodbye. "So... Don't forget our souvenirs, [Name]" Tenten said to you as she hugged you. "Alright," You replied. "We will miss you," Ino said then hugged her too. "Bye [Name], and don't forget to buy Shikadai's request," Shikamaru said, you smiled. "Sure, if it's for your cute son, I'll do it" You replied.

"I will buy a new dress for your daughter, Choji. Don't worry" You told him, he nodded. "I'm gonna buy you guys the best gifts to thank you all for all the things you did for me while I'm here. Bye!" You smiled and then waved at them as you walked away. They waved back, but you heard a loud 'Wait!' then turned around. "Naruto...?" You muttered, confused. He ran up to you and then hugged you tightly. "Sorry. And thank you for the scarf you gave me earlier" He said.

"You're welcome, but why are you apologizing?" You asked him and he broke the hug. "When I heard the news that you returned here in Japan, I was excited to meet you. But I was also depressed because of the news that you got sick while working. That you were hospitalized for one month, I was afraid to lose you again. And when you visited me at my house, I was glad that you're okay. The only reason I didn't come with the others to wait for your arrival is because I don't know how to welcome you. I was afraid that you would not recognize me and already had another" He confessed.

"So you're saying that you thought I already had a boyfriend other than you?" You asked him, and he nodded slightly. You sent him a smile after that. "Naruto you idiot. You know that you are the only one I love. I am also scared that if you marry Hinata or some other girl. Everyone almost had children and spouses, you know" You laughed slightly. "I just don't know what might happen if you leave, I wanted you to be by my side all the times" He hugged you again.

"Don't worry, I'll visit again" You said then took a quick peek at his lips then the two of you broke apart. "Thank you for everything, Naruto!" You waved at him and smiled, and he waved back. Once your figure disappeared from his sight, he cried silently. Tears fell down his face while standing there.

I still think Tobirama was bigoted. Sorrynotsorry. You can't tell me that him looking at Sasuke and basically saying "Oh an Uchiha eh? Of course you'd associate with scum like Orochimaru" wasn't bigotry. Him automatically associating his standing next to Orochimaru as making sense because he's an Uchiha? Pretty fucking bigoted.

Him deciding that all Uchiha were more susceptible to going off the deep end when they lost someone they loved, based on a few cases when he had counterpoints in Uchiha he actually worked with? Pretty bigoted.

Him making them the ninja military police force may seem well-intentioned, but making the anbu that basically had the same job but higher on the totem pole with no Uchiha in it, kinda makes it bigoted too.

Look, I'm not saying he's fucking Danzo and wanting to wipe them the fuck out or segregating them from the rest of the village. I'm not saying he's not well-intentioned towards them for the most part. But not every case of bigotry is "oh those damn [x group], the world would be better without them in it.". There's levels to this shit. Je's kinda like your grandpa that tries his best to be nice and respectful towards your non-white s.o. but as soon as something goes missing from the house during a house party the first person he suspects of being a thief is said s.o. He's trying his best, but old habits die hard.

And I'm not saying Tobirama was ultimately a bad person either. He did a lot of good for the village and created a lot of systems that still exist in the Boruto era. But he wasn't without his imperfections. He was bigoted towards the Uchiha. He tried his best to be fair and ignore the bias and leftover PTSD from decades in which he fought against the Uchiha during the Warring States period, but that doesn't mean he succeeded. The sooner y'all realize that whether someone is bigoted or not isn't a question of extremes, the better you're gonna be towards marginalized groups, and the better you'll be as people. And the sooner you realize that just because someone is what you consider a good person, that doesn't mean they can't be display toxic behaviours, the sooner you can be well-adjusted adults in the world.

We all have our flaws, and if you don't acknowledge not just other's flaws in a reasonable way, but your own as well, then you can't do anything to improve upon them. Be open-minded about hearing your heros' flaws, and your own.

Naruto's visual character design peaked when he learned to use eye shadow. Gaara's chunin exam design was so cool, you have the gourd strap and white fabric forming an X on top of the black clothes and red hair. Nothing else comes close to this design. I really like Neji's part 2 design, its like a more modern functional take on traditional clothing. It also symbolized how he had reconciled with his uncle, so its significant character arc wise (a character arc that Kishimoto instantly forgot about, but eh what's new). it really is crazy how Naras pop into the world as fully formed miniature adults and propagate clonally.

Neji's if definitely the most infuriating death. Kishimoto forgets about him for 500 chapters and then brings him back in one chapter just to die.

I didn't think Konan would win against Obito but I still wanted her to. She was the last one of her friend group and was just starting to lead Ame to a brighter future. She never got to see the dream she and her friends fought for.

See here's the thing: Kishimoto doesn't think things through, he just gets carried away on whatever new idea he thinks is cool.

The more you think about the Naruto series the less sense things make.The real reason theUzumaki swirl is everywhere in Konoha is likely that Kishimoto made a cool character design for Konoha shinobi and put a symbol there because it looked cool, then only later did he decide that the red swirl was the Uzumaki clan symbol.

The entirety of the 700 chapters of the manga Sasuke barely noticed Sakura existed and when he did it was because he thought she was annoying and in the way. Bad writing kept Sakura from ever having a character arc and thus moving beyond her cringe middle school crush. They have 0 chemistry and no real interactions.

Sasuke thought he could gain so much power from he bond with Naruto specifically because he felt so strongly about Naruto, because that bond was so precious to him (Sasuke logic). Sasuke sees Naruto as the only one for him, the only one he considers a friend and thus the only bond worth breaking.

Little fic that I had in mind after seeing this scene. 

I was like, wondering if Kakashi truly will bring the kids to Ichiraku shop when Teuchi knows his face? The answer is yes, because Sukea is our beloved troll Kakashi-sensei who loves the kids so much.

“Aaahh damnit we failed!”

After the full 5 minutes of Naruto and his classmates staring at the place where Kakashi’s clone dispersed, their heads drop heavily. Those kids’ collective crestfallen faces look so pitiful that even the most cold-blooded person will feel pity for them.

Well, Sukea is certainly not cold-blooded.

“Haah, that was very unfortunate indeed, so how about we lift our spirits in Ichiraku right now?”

Sakura lifts her downcast head, “Eh, do you still wanna treat us? Even though you didn’t get your scoop?”

“He better will still treat us, chasing Kakashi-sensei around makes me so hungry, shannaro!” Inner Sakura secretly hollers.

“Maa, that’s fine. Besides I promise to treat you guys if you help me, don’t I?  Failing aside, all of your efforts are very useful for my data gathering.” says the journalist while he tucks his camera back in his bag.

Hearing Sukea’s words, any trance of disappointment vanishes from their faces, and the kids brightly grin at each other. Even Shikamaru and Sasuke let out pleased smiles. 

“Yatta!!!”

“Teuchi-occan! We came!”

Teuchi turns away toward the familiar cheerful voice. Naruto is a (secretly his favorite) regular customer of his shop, and the boy’s happy face while he devours his ramen is his daily prize as ramen chef. Today, unusually he comes with many kids his age and a quite handsome man.

“Welcome! Ooh you bring many friends now, Naruto!”

Naruto slams the table hard.

“Occan, bring me my usual Tonkotsu Ramen extra pork!”

“Me too, but with beef!”, the boy with Inuzuka crest on his still plump cheeks butts in.

“Woof!”

“I-I’d like the same ramen as Naruto-kun..” a small girl, possibly from Hyuuga clan, appears behind the Inuzuka boy and shyly seats next to Naruto. Seeing the petite girl, Teuchi worries that she can’t finish her food, because Naruto’s ramen portion is quite big and heavy.

(Later, he finds out that his concern is futile).

“I order vegetable ramen with melon as dessert. Because, those are healthy meals, thus also my favorite.” Is that glasses boy from Aburame clan? That’s a surprise, because to Teuchi’s knowledge Aburame people prefer to eat alone.

A laid-back boy that looks like from Nara clan slouches on his seat “Guess I’ll have Shoyu Ramen with extra nori.”

Sasuke, Naruto’s Uchiha teammate takes a seat next to Naruto’s other side and hums, “Tomato Ramen.”

“I also want Tomato Ramen!” the blonde girl says bubbly while she moves to the seat next to Sasuke. 

Sakura, Naruto’s other teammate, pushes the girl away, “Don’t copy Sasuke-kun’s order Ino-pig!”

“Tomato Ramen is my favorite too, Forehead!”

“I want 20 portions of gyoza!! Sukea-san will pay for it!” A boy that is clearly from Akimichi clan yells eagerly. Ah, then the blond girl is from Yamanaka. She indeed quite resembles Inoichi-san.

“Ahahaha, goodbye my savings..” The only adult that came with the kids rubs his back dejectedly. Knowing how massive Naruto and his friends’ usual appetite, Teuchi almost feels sorry for the man.

Wait, his face seems familiar...

"Eh, you are...”

The man waves his hand, “Hello! Please to meet you. I am Sukea, a traveling journalist.”

“He wants to write a scoop about Kakashi-sensei’s face, so we help him to unmask Kakashi-sensei in exchange for food.” the pink-haired girl explains. 

Oh, so they still try to see Kakashi-san’s constantly masked face. As someone who serves ramen to the Jounin ever since the boy and his former team got dragged to his shop by a jolly red-headed kunoichi, Teuchi can’t relate to their frustration at all. 

But-

“But we failed though.” Sasuke grunts. The boy feigns nonchalance, but the old ramen chef can see his frustrated pout. 

“Uhh it was so close, so frustrating!” wails the Yamanaka girl. 

Even the Akimichi boy who is usually always happy inside any place to eat laments sadly, “Even with Shikamaru’s strategy...”

The Shikamaru boy in question argues “Ugh, can’t help it, our opponent is Konoha’s top jonin. At least my strategy is better than Naruto’s.”

Hearing his peer’s accusation, Naruto fiercely retorts, “Hey, what’s wrong with my ‘Peek on Kakashi-sensei’s face while he kisses me’ plan?!!”

“N-naruto-kun, that’s...” stutters the Hyuuga girl, who blushes harder than usual. Seeing her embarrassed face, Naruto apparently realizes what he just said, and panics.

“Waah Hinata, I-I don’t mean it like that! It’s not like I wanna kiss a man, a boy, a male, tha- that’s just a strategy in a pinch... Teme Sasuke, what’s with that side eyes, If you want to say something, say it clearly!!”

“Hmph.” the Uchiha boy turned his face away from his loud teammate.

“It’s obvious that plan will not work. Because, Kakashi-sensei is not a sexual harasser.” The Aburame boy interjects calmly. The said Jounin’s kunoichi student grumbles flippantly.

“Says about a man who read adult books in public. But I am confident that my medical manipulation can fool him, though...”

Depressed aura suddenly envelops the kids. Well, luckily they are in the great Ichiraku shop, his delicious ramens will surely fix their moods.

“But with our combined forces, we are so close to dismantling him, so we are quite amazing, don’t you think?!” the boy from Inuzuka interjects excitedly, effectively pulling his friends out of their distressed state.

“Woof!”

Hearing his friend’s confident declaration, Naruto beams.

“Yosha, one day we will surely rip off Kakashi-sensei’s mask and see his baffled face!”

Sukea, who is content to see the kids’ banter ever since they entered his shop, chuckles affectionately, pulls his camera out of his bag.

“That’s the spirit! Someday, I am sure that you guys will become stronger in the future and even surpass that Hatake Kakashi! When that time comes, I’ll happily make praising articles for all of you.”

Thanks to those words, delighted sparks come back in the kids’ eyes.

“Ooohh!”

“My article will be the longest!”

“No, mine is!”

“Then I must diet for my article photo!”

“No amount of diet can magically make you pretty, Forehead.”

“Same as you Ino-pig!!”

“Praising articles exclusive for me! Haha that’s not bad!”

“Article will be nice. Because, it will uplift our clan’s reputation.”

“Clan’s reputation..”

Leaving the kids to bicker with themselves, Sukea takes a few more pictures, then averts his fond eyes to the ramen counter. 

“Then I’ll have Miso Ramen please.”

Suddenly, Teuchi knows why the man’s face is familiar to him. Pictures of an arrogant boy flash in his mind, then turns into a gloomy teenager, then again drastically turns into an easygoing young man. People that accompany him to the ramen shop change over time, some disappear for various reasons and others appear for various reasons, but his order is always the same. No matter how he grows up, the silver-haired boy in his memory will always enjoy the taste of Ichiraku original miso diluted in hot soup, with his always hidden little mole bobbing happily.

“He’s...Kakashi-”

As if he hears Teuchi’s inner mind, Sukea stares straight into his eyes, forcefully stopping the ramen chef’s thought process. Away from the kids’ sight, the mysterious journalist brings his finger in front of his mouth, although the said gesture does nothing to cover the beauty mark on the side of his lips. 

The mysterious journalist winks mischievously. 

“Sshhh..”

Naruto Sexuality Headcanons

This is pre-boruto because I don’t know anything about Boruto.

Naruto is bi.

Sasuke is demi-sexual. It’s the only way I can explain the weirdness between him and Naruto, and him ending up with Sakura.

Sakura is straight.

Sai is ace. He likes paint.

Kakashi is ace.

Kiba is bi but to an almost pansexual degree? If someone’s down, he’s down.

Shino is aromantic but not asexual. He wants kids (he teaches at the Academy for christ sake! Though that doesn’t actually make a lot of sense as the clan heir... I’ll need to deal with that later)

Hinata is bi but prefers men. She’s experimented, specifically with a lot of blonds (she has a type, good for her) but really admires and respects Naruto.

Kurenai is pan.

Shikamaru is bi but prefers women. Specifically strong, domme like women (just look at Temari. Do not tell me that she would not top him.)

Choji is bi but Does Not Care for appearance. He cares more about how they treat his teammates.

Ino is pan. She does not care about age but will draw the line at children who are under 16 (my headcanoned adult age for civilian children and when Kage are legally allowed to start the spying via sleeping with a target) but she has no problem with older men, women, or unspecified gender.

Asuma is but did experiment when he was up with the Monks of the Fire Temples. It didn’t work out but hey, it’s not like he has a long lost kid somewhere being raised by a fire priest.

Neji... I can’t really figure him out. Too serious. Probably somewhere on the ace spectrum but doesn’t really care. Probably just interested in getting through life with Rock Lee as a teammate.

So maybe he would count because of that.

And yeah, most Sentai that stayed dead were adults, since I guess it was a bit much too have actual children die on a kid's show.

With all of the new information from chapter 290, I was thinking about what could happen after the arc. And I don’t have anyone to talk to about my thoughts so I’m posting about them. This will be long and probably won’t want to read it but I hope that you enjoy it!

Even though everyone probably already knows *Spoiler Warning*

All of the debate about Dabi/Touya and what’s to happen to him, is he going to die, get consequences of his actions, or be redeemed? Honestly having him killed off would be a lazy route, since Twice is gone and Shigaraki mostly is going to die as well. And personally I wouldn’t like it because I feel Endeavor wouldn’t actually face his past. Kinda like punishing the abused and rewarding the abuser.

I also feel like the LOV will be done after this arc in a way because they’ve lost a lot of members and it may be set for the time skip after this arc with Shigaraki and AFO gone. So the idea of Dabi/Touya becoming the new main threat doesn’t make sense to me, but it’s still a possibility.

Dabi/Touya isn’t mentally well. He’s dealing with PTSD of his past and because of never getting mental help, his mind only got worse. His sense of reality is not right and he hasn’t had anyone to help him for years. Even during his abuse he had Natsuo, but after his death there was no one. His abuse broke him so severely, he only thought of ways to hurt the person who caused it and how he could get revenge. He wasn’t thinking of his family and the actions could affect them. He just wanted the world to know what Endeavor did to him. And he has every right to expose his abuser, he is the victim when it comes to the past and Endeavor cannot atone if he’s going to hide what he did. Still it does hurt the rest of the family, because it seems like they didn’t want it to go public, except maybe Natsuo but he was willing to try for Fuyumi. Does that mean Dabi/Touya doesn’t care about them? I think he does in a sense, he couldn’t stop his negative feelings for his father, so how could he stop his positive ones for the rest of his family. He may have surprised them but not gotten rid of them. I believe he cares about Natsuo the most. I’m unsure about Rei, it seems he does care with the information we have but still eh. Fuyumi, I have no idea honestly. And we know he sees Shoto as a puppet. Just because the way he outed his abuse in a selfish manner doesn’t mean he hates his family. I also feel Natsuo would play a big part if there is a redemption.

Now some of the things I’m thinking could happen. He faces the consequences of his actions. He may go to prison, because he did murder innocent people. His abuse doesn’t cancel out the wrong he has done. Thirty people lost their lives because of him. Even if those people were villains as well, doesn’t mean he had the right to take their lives. If he does go to jail I could see it similar to Overhaul, chained up forever. Or maybe the family’s influence/money could help him out and instead he’s put in a mental ward. He may be stuck there forever but he would get the much help he needs badly. I feel this is likely if he’s not killed in the arc, just like Overhaul.

Redemption. That’s a huge conflict with many people. Personally.......I want to see it, I want to see the victim get help so badly. I want to see them get help and become a better person. He still would need to face consequences of his actions of murdering people, and every terroristic act he has done while in the LOV. His actions are still his own regardless of the trauma he has faced, but if he didn’t have this trauma he wouldn’t have done any of these things. He was a broken child turned into a broken adult, all he knows is his pain of the past, he can’t move on and now he’s stuck in the cycle of abuse.

He has a problem with Shoto due to him becoming Endeavour’s new “favorite.” He doesn’t see Shoto as a person but a doll of his father’s, and he had planned to kill him, because he thought it would get him his father's love and attention. Which isn’t that strange, because I’ve seen that happen with children in abusive households. They still crave their parents' love and want it regardless of the parents hurting them. They turn their anger towards the person they think is taking that away from them, example the favored sibling.

Yet even though he's done and planned horrible things, that doesn’t mean he can’t get redeemed. Horrible people have been redeemed in anime before, ones that have done even worse things than Dabi/Touya. It’s possible for him to become a better person, maybe a good person, I don’t see him changing over to the hero’s side but more neutral. I think it’s possible, I don’t know if it will happen though. But we have seen it before and the character that came to mind was Gaara.

Now despite being a huge Naruto fan, I haven’t read the manga since the ending which was a loooooong time ago. And I’m not watching Boruto like at all, I refuse. I still remember a lot of it and there’s so many complex characters in Naruto that have done terrible things, but we’re saved and redeemed. Some even become fan favorites. Most of the characters I’m going to get into are from Naruto but I’ll get to them in a bit but right now I want to focus on Gaara.

Neglected by his family, and hated by everyone else. He was taken advantage of by his village and abused to become the perfect weapon. He killed so many people, regardless of who they were, if they had a family or not. No he wanted bloodshed and chaos, because that’s all he knew. Gaara became a psychotic killer whose goal was to everyone in his way to prove his own existence. It could be argued that he was a child at the time he did these things but that still doesn’t excuse his actions. Plus he mostly killed many more than Dabi/Touya, yet he was still redeemed. Naruto saw the pain in him and could understand why he became the way he was, even admitting he could have ended up like him if it wasn’t for his friends. He saved him and Gaara became a new person free from his past and pain. He got to have a family and gained friends. He became the Kazekage and was loved by his people, who once looked at him in fear and disgust now looked at him in admiration. He did unspeakable things but he got a second chance and did amazing things with it.

Itachi killed his whole clan, yes he did it so they couldn’t start a war but that doesn’t erase that he murdered innocent people. Even though the reason he couldn’t kill Sasuke was because he loved him too much he still left his little brother with no one and trauma. That’s horrible for a child to go through. Sasuke had nobody to turn to now he lost not only his family but he got to see his brother, who was the one person who he idolized the most. And yes later on, both the audience and Sasuke learned the truth about Itachi. He really was such a good person regardless of him being a good person he did bad things even if it was for the greater good. Once the truth was out people could relate to him, understand why he did the things he did, and he also became a fan favorite and now is seen as a hero. His trauma made him want to do good and his motives were different than Dabi/Touya’s but he still took innocent lives.

Now I want to touch a bit on this character, because they were a favorite of mine. However, I wasn’t the biggest Soul Eater fan so my knowledge isn’t as good. Crona actually had a very similar situation to Shoto and Dabi/Touya, their mother experimented on them and made them into her perfect weapon kind of like how Endeavor wanted to make his children into the perfect tool to dethrone All Might. They were mentally unwell and were made to kill people, and took many lives. Still Maka and her friends, spared them and took them in and showed them love.

The last one I want to get into is Zabuza. He was a killer for hire and did unspeakable things for money. He was willing to kill the team Kakashi, which had three children for his mission. Killing children is one of the worst things. During his journey, he met Haku and formed a bond that I don’t think he noticed until it was too late. And while his redemption doesn’t seem as grand as others, he got a pretty amazing one for what kind of person he was before. After Haku’s death, he turned on Gatō and his gang, and killed them. That saved the village directly even though he just wanted revenge. At the end, as he’s dying he gets to lay next to Haku and have a moment and that changed the way people viewed him. It left an impact on Naruto as well. His story has similarities to Dabi/Touya, they both killed to get their goal even though it wasn’t right.

There are so many more characters I could get into like Vegeta, who literally destroyed planets with whole civilizations. Isabella from the promised neverland, who fed children to demons. Obito and Nagato, who tried to end the whole world. So many JoJo characters, I can’t even begin to think of, but the point is redemption is possible.

So honestly a redemption isn’t that far fetched for Dabi/Touya, even with his crimes, and it would be nice for a villain to be redeemed because we haven’t really seen that in this series. And yes I’m a bit biased but I enjoy his characters, but now it’s mostly because I want the victim to find peace and be able to let go of the past. He is still a victim of Endeavor’s abuse, because he is still trapped in it. I want to see a victim get a second chance, but he still has to face the consequences of his actions. He doesn’t get a free pass because he was abused, it’s a reasoning not an excuse.

Also you could say the same for Endeavor deserving a second chance, but I can’t get behind a child abuser and wife beater. That’s the same reason I don’t like Overhaul like many others, touching a child in any way doesn’t sit right with me. So I was never behind Endeavor’s redemption, but I supported and understood the people who were into it. In the end, it’s up to Horikoshi about what will happen to both Dabi/Touya and Endeavor. I know either way it will be an amazing story.

Thank you to anyone who actually read my ramblings. Sorry if the formatting is weird, I typed it out in my phone. I hope you enjoyed this too long rant. And to anyone who disagrees with anything I said, I understand and respect your decision. But don’t be immature and rude about it, it’s not hard to debate people in an adult manner. We all have our own options and it’s fine to disagree but don’t be hurtful to those whose opinions differ for yours.

I like NaruHina and I’m obviously glad they got together. However, I don’t think people should ever harass you for not liking the ending.

Which brings me to the questions. Are you most upset about NaruHina or the way Sakura was handled in the epilogue & onwards? If she had ended up, say, single or married to Lee or something, would you have been okay with the ending?

This is such a long forgotten ask! Sorry I barely respond to it now. I’ve been... well, busy with adulting, hehe.

Ah, the “good” ol Narutobase days. But oh well, for better or for worse that’s where my serious Naruto journey started so I am fond of it in a weird kind of way.

Anyway, tbh yes. I think that I would prefer Sakura A LOT MORE single and/or with Lee by comparison, than with Sasuke.

Of course, I still hold my ground and say that given how the manga was built, anything outside of NS is against the very laws and mechanics of the manga, but by comparison with SS, I’d take single Sakura and/or LeeSaku any day.

At least she had a bond with Lee. They became friends after he protected her in the FOD. She visited him, got him flowers and whatnot.

And Lee has been nothing but curteous to her.

Also, I’m upset about NaruHina as well. Why? Because of the execution! How they ended up stealing stuff from Sakura, how it goes against some themes that the story presented and whatnot.

I mean, I would’ve been fuming if I would’ve still liked NH and SS and saw the execution of them.

I always said it: the pairings are NOT the problem. THE EXECUTION IS. What they ended up representing. 

I don’t think anyone would’ve had ANY problem if things would’ve been done correctly, rather than this.

One of these days after I’m done with the NaruSaku symbolism series I’ll start talking on my blog more in depth about this aspect, so people understand WHY I’m pissed at it.

Not just for the lulz of it. I have actual legit reasons that have very much to do with toxic representation of relationships in the media.

Because you know as they say: mens sana in corpore sano.

For body, you do exercise to keep it health, but what about your mind, eh? Well, you gotta consume good content in media otherwise you’re going to become intoxicated with the wrong ideas.

And those ideas are what you’re going to further perpetuate because that’s what you’re consuming.

The mind is one of the most powerful assets of a human being. If you feed it with bad things, it’s not okay.

Think of it as a Operating system who gets a virus.

It’s the same way with the media we consume. It can very much turn into a virus that ruins one’s views on the world, their principles and morality.

That’s why I have a strong filter nowadays.

Yeah, I didn’t back when Naruto ran, but as I grew older, I became even more careful at what i consume and how I do it.

Things like fluffy emotional stuff with no rational basis don’t work for me anymore. 

Sure I think with my heart, but also take my head after me, I don’t accept everything just because it’s kawaii and pulls at my emotional strings.

But anyway, I’ve rambled enough. 

Basically I’m pissed at the ending because it’s bad from many other points of views, NOT just the pairings.

The pairings for better or for worse are an important aspect of this because after all, one of the themes of the manga was the bonds. That’s why we had people so invested.

But they’re only a faction of it. 

However, I will plan on talking about that at some point in the future, because in a post like this on Tumblr is not enough.

I have in mind a series called Naruto in retrospection where I wanna talk about the aspects that were wrong. Maybe then I’ll make myself better understood.

Chapter 4

Sakura knew she shouldn’t have done that. She had punched the lights off the senior attorney of the firm she’d just being hired at. She drove herself home in a trance, completely absorbed in her thoughts. In retrospective, there were many things that she should have maybe done differently, starting with maybe listing Sasuke as a conflict of interest on the NDA human resources made her sign. That could possibly bring her some problems, but it seemed like he was pretending not to know her, and she knew exactly the kind of ex she didn’t want to be.

Damn... and I was so lucky to get hired too. Naruto probably had to pull some strings to get me here. My god! Naruto! What if he tells him! How can I face him now… and what if Sasuke files an assault suit against me!? I could probably hit him back a harassment suit, whatever I’m probably fired, but I mean! The things he said. She thought.

Her mind was going over and over all the possible scenarios her momentary lapse of judgment might have caused. She didn’t even notice, until she got home, that her hand hurt like a mother. It had been such a long time since she had to punch someone, and this was definably going to leave a bruise on her knuckles.

Her phone buzzed in her purse with a text message that read:

Sakura-chan family dinner tomorrow 8pm u in? – Naruto

And she probably shouldn’t. She had already been accused of inappropriate behavior by Sasuke. But she wasn’t about to change how she was with her friend because of some evil-minded jerk. So, before she could give it much thought, she replied:

Sure, I’m in. Can’t wait to meet the baby.

Naruto went into the firm the next day, slightly earlier than normal, and spotted Sasuke laying on the couch of his unusually dark office.

“Hey Teme! Good job on the case! I hear the prosecution is asking for a settlement now… eh? The fuck happened to your face?” he noticed Sasuke’s incredibly swollen cheek with a dark bruise starting to settle under his left eye.  “Mmm… you’re not getting involved with those people again… are you?” he asked while turning on the light switch to seem him better.

“Tch headache! Turn it off!” Sasuke said.

“Did you sleep here? What happened?”

“Why did you hire her?” Sasuke asked, ignoring the previous question. He moved to a seated position still resting his head on the back of the couch.

“Hire who? Sakura-chan? We were best friends in college! She is awesome, isn’t she? I heard she kicked ass in yesterday’s trial!”

“You never mentioned her…”

“Yeah, bit of a sore subject” Said the blond, moving his arm to scratch the back of his head. “I was young and sort of in love with her, she rejected me. She was the one that got me and Hinata together ya know? So, it worked out for the best, but we lost touch after graduation”

“Hn… I thought she just graduated this year, so then you rekindled your relationship behind your wife’s back, asshole”

“What the fuck!” Naruto seriously wanted to punch him for saying things like that, but he controlled himself, noticing the already injured man.

“Are you not? Why did you assign her to my top case? And you’re always touching her and stuff…” Sasuke had to admit, his reasoning sounded weak and silly once he’d voiced it.

“Cuz she is my friend and a medical doctor you idiot! I thought her medical knowledge would be helpful in such a public case like this”

“She’s a doctor?” Sasuke asked in a more relaxed tone. He brought his hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, trying to ease the headache that was worsening by the second.

“Yeah, graduated early and everything, I don’t know why but a few years ago she went back to grad school to study law, but the knowledge is there ya know?”

“And you’re not sleeping together…” the raven-haired man muttered weakly.

“No!” Naruto yelled. “You know I love my wife! Wait… you didn’t tell Sakura-chan that did ya?!” Naruto asked, completely amazed at his friend’s stupidity.

“Ah.” Sasuke answered in confirmation.

“Well that explains the damage” Naruto had the nerve to laugh at him. “Sakura-chan can be really scary as I remember” he shook his head, then rested his hands behind his head. “Ne Teme, you owe Sakura-chan an apology” He completed in a serious tone.

“Ah” and Sasuke knew he did, whatever the case was, he knew he had no right calling her out like that, but in the field of apologizing Sasuke was truly lost. “I’ll figure something out”

“Yeah maybe you can figure something out before family dinner tonight! She’s coming, you guys should too” Naruto said, back to his cheerful self, and gave him a small nudge of encouragement. “Go home for now, I’m sure Sakura-chan can handle the rest of the negotiations”

And for once Sasuke did as he was told. He went back to his apartment, since his headache did not seem to be going away anytime soon. He unlocked the door and walked in, expecting to find the apartment empty.

Karin walked out of the bedroom as soon as he opened the door. “Sasuke? What…” she said confused as to why he’d be home at such hours but noticed his face. “What happened?! Are you okay? Oh my god Sasuke does it hurt!?”

“I’m fine, don’t worry about it” He answered, it was for this same reason he didn’t come home before, Karin tended to make a bigger deal of things than they required, it hadn’t occur to him that the bruise might look worse the next day.

“Tell me what happened! Did Orochimaru…” Karin said, trying to hold back her accumulating tears.

“No” Sasuke replied then sighed. “I… walked into a door” he offered.

Karin gave him an unconvinced looked, and said “Sasuke…”

“I’m fine, really” He said patting her head gently. “I’m just going to rest for a while”

His affectionate actions made her smile. She couldn’t really remember the last time they had contact, and it moved her causing a small flush to spread on her cheeks, before her expression changed into something Sasuke couldn’t make out, confusion, concern, guilt maybe, but he couldn’t dwell on it, since his headache was killing him by that point.

Whatever she seemed to have remembered, made her shake her head to compose herself, she readjusted her glasses and said “I gotta go to the office Sasuke, but I do really…”

“I know you do” He answered before she could finish her sentence. Because whatever was happening between the two, Sasuke knew she cared for him, as he did to her.

Sasuke waited for her to leave and close the door, before walking into the bedroom, his ailment did warrant the use of a bed, so he laid face down into the large bed at the center of the bedroom, he touched the familiar soft sheets they had chosen months before, then wrapped his hand under a pillow to get comfortable.

There, he felt something underneath, then pulled it out to inspect it, and saw a small plastic square turn up.

A condom wrapper.

Family dinner was a regular even at the Uzumaki household. A tradition Naruto kept even after his parents passed. For some time, family dinners consisted only of himself and his godfather, but as an adult, Naruto came to consider a myriad of people family members, and so Friday nights were usually spent, drinking and dinning in the rotating company of whoever was available at that time. This particular dinner’s guest list included Shikamaru and his wife, Sasuke and his wife, if she wanted to show up which she usually didn’t, and Sakura.

“I’m worried about Sakura” said his wife, as she was preparing the food for her soon to be incoming guests, while her husband held their baby. “I don’t want her to feel like the odd one out between a bunch of married couples”

“Don’t worry! She won’t” said Naruto. “It’s not like we’re all going to be talking to our spouses, ignoring the rest of ‘em”

“Still, maybe we should’ve invited someone else. I might be able to talk Neji-niisan into coming last minute, maybe set them up!” Hinata chirped.

“You know Neji doesn’t like you meddling into his ‘love’ life like that” He responded, placing a gently hand on the small of his wife’s back.

“I know, but wouldn’t they look cute together?”  

“Nah I don’t know about that…” Naruto answered, even if his romantic feelings for Sakura were long gone, she always held a soft spot in his heart, and he would always feel protective about her.

“I think someone is here, can you get the door? I’m pretty much done here” Hinata said, a few seconds before there was an actual know on their door.

“Really Hina, I don’t know how you do that…”

Naruto opened the door, to find Sasuke standing outside, his black eye even more prominent than the last time he saw him.

“Tss teme she got you good!” the blond mentioned, as he motioned for his friend to come in. He had been the victim of a few punches by Sakura himself, but he never spotted a black eye like that. “What did you say to her? She must have been pretty angry if she hit you right in the face.”

Sasuke sighed, he almost didn’t show up. He hadn’t figured out what he would say to her. “I sort of… called her a whore…” he muttered, looking down to avoid looking embarrassed.

“Bastard… you really had it coming, you’re lucky I’m holding the baby, or I’d make the other eye match” Naruto threaten.

“How’s he doing by the way” Sasuke said, grabbing the baby’s hand and toying with it, partially trying to change the subject.

“Oh, he’s great, he sleeps through the night now and everything” Naruto answered.

They sat down at the dinner table, with Naruto going on and on about baby Boruto, and how he smiled all the time, and was pretty smart for a 6-month-old baby, and how the transition to food was going smoothly. It wasn’t until 15 minutes into the conversation he noticed Sasuke came alone. “Your wife’s not here?” He asked.

“No, she had to go out or something” Sasuke replied, briefly considering telling Naruto about the condom wrapper he found in their bed. But he decided not to, Naruto’s family dinner was hardly the place to talk about something like that.

Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Shikamaru and his wife. Temari, whose name Sasuke always manage to forget for some reason, announced her newly found pregnancy, which engrossed the group in a conversation of parenthood, pregnancy cravings, baby must haves, while Sasuke mostly stayed silent. He held his arms out to borrow baby Boruto from his very talkative father and bounced him up and down from his lap much to the infant’s amusement.

“And you, Sasuke? Have you and Karin thought about having one of your own?” Temari asked him.

Sasuke always imagined himself having a big family of his own, he liked children. But the concept of family seemed to be getting further and further away from him the older he got.  The subject had not even come out with the woman who was now his wife. He always imagined someone else as the mother of his children, it was a goal he had set on his mind: do what he had to do about Orochimaru, his brother, leaving the outlaw world,  then go back to the girl who hunted his dreams since he was a teenager. But that was years ago and leaving left consequences he couldn’t have predicted. So, he buried that thought, underneath responsibilities and duties he had to uphold, and continued to live for years without thinking about the hypothetical cute children with dark hair and green eyes.

“I don’t think Karin w…” he almost responded to the group, interrupted by a knock on the door and the entrance of none other than Sakura, wide eyed and blushing, she seemed surprised he was even there, as she held a bottle of wine and brown gift bag close to her chest.

“Sorry no one answered the door, so I just came in, hope that’s okay” She said, addressing everyone in the dining room, but avoiding Sasuke’s eyes.

“Sure thing! Sakura-chan I’m glad you made it!” Naruto said, standing up and hugging the pinkette.

“Sakura-chan! It’s so good to see you, how long has it been!?” Hinata chirped in higher voice than any of her guest had ever made her do, and wrapped her arms around Sakura and her husband, the three of them locked in an awkward three person embrace.

“Hinata! Too long! You look lovely, motherhood suits you!” Sakura answered, disentangling herself from the hug. “Now where is that cute baby of yours!?”

Naruto scratched his face and turn to look at Sasuke, who was still holding the baby. The sight was endearing for her she had to admit. Sasuke looked down and held the baby in front of his face in offering, still unable to meet her eyes.

Naruto grabbed his son instead and brought him to Sakura’s arms. “This is Boruto” he introduced.

“Naruto! Aw he looks just like you! He is so adorable!” She pressed the baby’s face to her own. “Who knew you had it in you to make something so cute!!”

“Nah, he has my eyes and hair, but the rest is all Hinata ya know?”

“I’m so happy for you two!” Sakura said, wiping a small tear from her eye.

“I’m going to put him down to sleep” Said Hinata, taking her baby back into her arms. “It’s a little late for this little guy, we were waiting so you could meet”

“Sorry I was late, bye Boruto”

“I’m so proud of you, you know? You always wanted a family, and now you have one, it’s just so…” She was unable to continue, if she did, there would have been no stop to her crying, so she composed herself.

“I know Sakura-chan” Naruto answered.

Sasuke thought he couldn’t have been more wrong, after witnessing the whole interaction. It was obvious that they all had some very deep connection, but it was so far from what he had suspected he couldn’t help to feel embarrassed again. Why his mind went for the most impure explanation, he didn’t know.

And so, after introductions, dinner continued without his interference. Old friends catching up, and new acquaintances presented. They continued with drinks after the meal, and after a few glasses, Sasuke stood up and walked to the door.

“Are you leaving Sasuke, you haven’t said anything all night!” Naruto complained.

“No, I’m just going out for a smoke” He responded. He needed some air to clear his thoughts. So many things needed to be fix happened in only a few days, but the only thing he could seem to think of was Sakura. It’s so fucked up. He thought.

His train of thought was interrupted by the appearance of said girl behind him. “Smoking kills you know?” She said to him.

“Ah” he answered in confirmation and took another drag from his cigarette, before putting it down and stepping on it. Sasuke moved to face Sakura, he tried to organize a coherent sentence to word his apology, but she was too distracting. Her red crop top, and high wasted jeans showed a small portion of her waist he couldn’t help but wonder how it would feel under his touch. He ran his hand through his inky locks in exasperation.

“Listen Sasuke… I’m sorry” She said unexpectedly.

“YOU’RE sorry?” he asked. He looked at her, eyebrows raised in confusion.

“Yeah… I shouldn’t have punch you like that; it looks bad. I’m terribly sorry” she bowed a little as she continued. He didn’t even know what to say.

Sakura pulled a small container from a brown bag she was carrying and asked, “May I?”

He questioned her with his eyes. “It’s a pomade I made, it good against bruising, and it has a cooling effect to help with the pain”

He nodded his head yes, so she moved to coat her finger in the ointment and apply it gently to his face. He was, for once, glad because of the bruising, since the heat he felt on his face could only mean he was blushing madly. His heart threatening to beat out of his chest.

“Thank you.” The black-haired man said when she was finished. It felt so good to have her hands on him, he almost complained when she removed her touch. “You don’t have to apologize, it was my fault, I had no right calling you that”

“You’re right” She conceded. “But I’m sorry anyway, it was no excuse to hit you, violence is never the answer”

“Never?” He laughed at that. He could of at several situations where violence is the only answer, and he was sure Naruto would agree. But he didn’t voice his thoughts.

“I still deserved it though”

“Damn right you did” she agreed.  

“I’m sorry” He said. “and I shouldn’t have acted like I didn’t know you either, I just… didn’t know… what to say”

“It’s okay Sasuke-kun… it was a long time ago” The endearing suffix, made him smile, and brought his scrambling thoughts back together. It reminded him of simpler times, when he could act on his feelings.

And right then, he finally figured out, why he’d been so angry at Naruto’s displays of affection towards the pink haired girl. Sasuke knew he was jealous.

I really can’t tell, do you love, like, eh, dislike, or hate Sasuke? (&why)

Last summer said you loved him (and Kirito) but recently expressed distaste

I hate Sasuke. Adult Sasuke is a bit better but only because Kishimoto completely destroyed his character at the end of the series.

Also, I never said I loved Sasuke and this blog didn't even exist last summer.

I do love Kirito though, dude is a badass.
