𐙚 first and foremost, ellie def prefers a little life over anything huge or extravagant. she'd take a long morning in bed with u over the met gala any day.

𐙚 dirty dishes in the sink, wrinkled bed sheets, cluttered countertops, half-finished home decor, crumples papers, miasma from the bathroom trashcan, that one light you both always forget to shut off. she loves it, all of it.

𐙚 then, getting home and being able to eat your newly purchased cereal, your head leaning on her shoulder as you're both curled up on the couch in front of the tv.

𐙚 ellie oftentimes likes to sit at her desk, scribbling little drawings or entries into her journal while you fill your head with your own random hobbies.

𐙚 she drives you crazy when she taps her pencil against the surface of the desk.

𐙚 the two of you have argued over that a few times, actually. you shouting at her for how annoying the repetitive sound is while she tries to explain that she doesn't even realize she's doing it (though, you don't believe that for a second).

𐙚 over time, however, you've learned to just put on your headphones whenever she journals, the habit becoming as natural to you as drumming her pencil is to ellie.

𐙚 whenever either of you are on your period, the other is certain to be synced, both of you hurting and angry and craving random foods you can't remember the names of. that week is either the worst of your lives, spent arguing and fighting and sobbing; or it's the best, spent singing together in the shower and cooking new recipes and laughing together at ellie's unfunny dad jokes.

𐙚 then, following that week, ovulation hits and you're both completely different people.

𐙚 after you just spent days upon days of working through agonizing pain, you're now unable to think of anything aside from ripping the other's clothes off.

𐙚 dinners go uneaten as she eats you out atop the counter instead; rooms go unswept as you pin her against the nearest wall with an animalistic fervor; her drawings go unfinished as she gets distracted by the girl lying naked in your bed, fingers finding other ways to occupy themselves.

𐙚 ellie has seen you in every state.

𐙚 with greasy unkempt hair, unshaved (everywhere), stained clothing you deem to be 'clean enough', dirt under your nails, unbrushed teeth in the morning.

𐙚 but she doesn't care. she'll still run her fingers through your hair, still rub soothing circles into spiky skin, still strip stained clothes off of you just as desperately, still hold your dirtied hands, still kiss you on the mouth without a care in the world.

𐙚 sometimes, ellie will write songs & ask for your opinion on them.

𐙚 of course, you always tell her how good they are and how proud you are of her. but sometimes you mentally cringe at certain lines or wince at a off-key note.

𐙚 but you love her enough to lie to her face with a curt smile.

𐙚 and even more than that, you love seeing her happy and proud of herself. the sight of her toothy grin and twinkling eyes makes it all worth it.

𐙚 plus, eighty percent of the time, her songs are super fucking good and you're stuck by the passion and care she puts into writing them. the gentility in her intricate fabrication of certain notes and pitches makes your heart stutter. the way her entire body work alongside the guitar with such delicacy that you're sure the two have merged into one tangible being.

𐙚 see, ellie is enamored by the simple things you do ⎯ the way you rip a brush through your hair in the mornings, the gentle whistle you do while cooking or cleaning or doing chores, the fact that you seem to be incapable of making the bed in the morning, the way you always leave your shared shampoo uncapped, the pursing of your lips as you try a new recipe you wanted to try & aren't sure whether you like.

𐙚 these are the things she loves most about you. the things that make her excited to live the rest of her life with you, greasy hair and all.

Asking because of the previous ask, are you not a fan of Ethan anymore? If so, why?

It's complicated, I suppose (rant where i talk abt ethan but then also my OCs in general)

I really do not like the first version of Ethan I made like 3 years ago. Obviously I like indulging in devilish ideas but I don't know, it ended up turning into something I didn't really end up liking too much.

Then I revisited and sort of rewrote his story a bit a while back when making the OC archive site (I'm aware the site is not available anymore for the people who asked, I took it down myself) and was much happier with it for a while.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ethan, I know he's the OC people seem to like the most, but it's still like a personal mental battle of like maybe it's too effed up? Even when I draw characters going through unwilling/accidental extreme weight gain, I make them either ambivalent or accepting of their situation, but for Ethan it's kind of like torture, and I can't bring myself to get like..aroused and excited to draw more of that *personally*.

Changing up his lore wouldn't really work either since his story is based on helplessness and stuff, and it'd be disingenuous to make him be happy with his situation, so I've just sort of subconsciously decided to leave him as is and treat his content as its self contained story more than nsfw art to goon to, if that makes sense. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking about it too much, but just wanted to say what goes through my head.

I also don't really revisit Ethan for the same reason I don't tend to draw much of all the past OCs I've made, as I see each of them as a way to explore different facets of how weight gain can manifest and adapt into a character's life to create a story around it, and I feel like I've covered most of the ground around them already.

All of my OCs come from a sudden short prompt that pops up in my head, usually out of nowhere. I suddenly wanted to make a big-hearted southern farm guy who was super massive and I immediately ran to draw Rudy, for example.

I draw them a little reference, with my typical bullet points next to them with basic info to get an idea of what their dynamic is like, and a more lengthily written backstory or description if I'm feeling fancy under it, and then for the next week or two it's all art of them and answering questions about them... and then another idea pops up, and a new OC comes in.

It's not that I get tired of them, but I just simply do not know what to draw with them. Ethan is the biggest outlier in this case, since he is my fattest OC and half immobile, you just don't really know how else to bring something new that's not him laying on his bed at a slightly different angle.

I guess that's why I always do OC asks, I sort of need them to be able to know what to draw with them, since I struggle coming with things like that by myself, and you know I always like avoiding drawing a character in a void with no context.

The Genshin Obesity AU is my longest running like "project"?? thing just because there is an endless amount of content I can pull from since there's all these characters, places and possibilities I can write from. My OCs are obviously much more self-contained and moreso serve as individual experiments to explore different people and scenarios, so after the 10th drawing of them... I genuinely do not know what else I can add to them.

I hope that was a bit insightful. I know most of you guys love Ethan, and I love him too! But I don't know, I guess this is why I don't tend to have immobile/near immobile OCs, since the potential art ideas for them drop to just them sitting on a mattress or sitting on the floor and I'm just left confused on what to do with them.

Maybe Ethan in his college days is something you guys might be interested in? Or I don't know, I'm just writing this post as my thoughts enter my head.

It’s not everyday that Madara is blown like a leaf in the wind. When you mentioned being a patron of the arts, he thought maybe the art of battle?? Didn’t expect your weapon to be a paint brush with some acrylic paint. Thought it was some weird jutsu infused shit.

And then you just had to go above and beyond and do a portrait of him for his birthday!!!!! It’s hung on the living room center wall so that it’s the first thing anyone sees! Honestly, this man is a brute, but your art envokes his softer side! A side that he hasn’t been in touch with for…well, a long time.

Makes sure that everyone and I mean, everyone, is aware of your talent! Still, he tries to find the side hussle in it, soliciting customers for you and all. 😭😭 Will trash talk the chalk art children make on the sidewalk, which ‘…that’s not nice, they’re children..’ you say. He shrugs, nobody is as good as you.

Obito:

Finds out and tries to ‘secretly’ commission you lmao. Makes it totally obvious too, his handwriting is shit and eveeeerrryyyyone knows who Tobi really is…. Plus how can you even begin without discussing what he wants done!! Duh, Obito! Unfortunately for him, you are more interested in drawing matters of the flesh. He’ll only show his chest, nothing more.

‘That’s fine.’ You shrug, and get to work. Obito, however, does not have the resolve to sit still! It’s frustrating to no end, but alas, after what seems an eternity— its done. Sort of. Still much to add, but the basics are there and you’ll work better when he’s not asking how does it look every twenty minutes.

Eventually you do finish this beautiful piece of him, and Obito cries. You made his scars tolerable and beautiful with your mind’s creativity, he feels less self conscious about them, only a little.

Shisui:

Is the least normal about it when he discovered your sketchbook — more like snatched and played keep away. Had to fight him for it, literally. Will ask you to paint/draw him naked…many times lol and you respectfully say no... Not that he likes people to see him naked (ok maybe a little?) but he secretly hopes it might happen one day. It would be a private thing for the two of you, cause he wants that ass.

And when you do cave to his whim, just to satiate him. He’s nervous lmao. Had this oh so macho man idea of rocking a hard on but Shisui simply maintains his usual semi. It’s nice though, you make sure it’s extremely detailed..as he asked for.

But, ‘(y/n)… this is chibbi!!!’ Lol, jokes on Shisui!! He didn’t say how to draw his pp.

Itachi:

Is the most normal about it. Though he still will praise you every time you finish a piece and show him, he is still massively impressed. How does your wrist not get tired? …maybe this is why your hand jobs are so good. 😈 Just watching you try a new technique (pointillism, which is my favorite style) makes his wrist hurt. Enjoys when you ask him for ideas! He has lots of them! Mostly…obscure and derelict landscapes though.

Would not be opposed to having his portrait done, but it’s really not his style. He is disciplined enough to sit still but doesn’t see the value in it. Not until the final product is revealed, does he truly understand how important this piece was. You’ve captured his personality in a new light.

Alright so ive been sitting on this ask b/c I already know it's a long answer aflskdjf

Write dialogue/text down in my notes app Sometimes it's just me sitting there like hghghg as music plays and I stare at my phone for 10min. Usually it's 12am thinking about stuff while I'm in bed and I type some piece of dialogue down real quick. I'm nowhere near as comprehensive as comic script I've seen online that they give examples for, like there's no direction on what's happening in panels or anyth because it's just for myself and I just sort of remember composition ideas if I have them on the spot

Literally start drawing 😂 As previously said I sometimes go into comics with comp ideas already, like for this one I knew I was going to divide the page going in. Or like I know this is gonna be 4 panels and pretty static. Other stuff I fully wing it sentence to sentence because I can't bother with thumbnailing 😅 sometimes this bites me on the ass because I spend forever drawing smth I have to toss, but I've gotten better at doing stuff fast

I use photoshop, so for vertical comics I've been following this tutorial for years

Vertical comics are a lot easier to structure composition-wise for me, I started out making those because it was less intimidating

The red arrow is your eye direction as you read it. For me it's always the bottom of a page is one less boundary to worry about. You can be less precise if the reader is automatically drawn to looking down b/c they're scrolling and never sees a full page laid out. 😂 Also if I want to pace something slower/further down I don't have to worry about having to cram it in y'know?

This might be a weirdly specific thing to mention but I'm always thinking about it when I make comics because...

lol I gotta make up for being too lazy to spend more than 30 seconds drawing a character

jkjk but yeah my interests are more in slapping the story in my head on the page. I like doing compositions and writing stuff that interests me. I get tired when I spend too much time fiddling with stuff, so if I can get smth across with a rough estimation I'm happy. This does limit the type of stories that can be told cuz certain more rendered styles just work better when you're trying to convey certain things but! there's lots of things you can do drawing simply too!

there's defs more stuff out there that doesn't follow what I'm doing, lots of different styles. Eg American superhero comics are super text-heavy and boggle my mind. This is just what I like to do cuz I like reading way too much manga/webtoons lol

you don't have to be super technical to make comics! go out there and make one if you've got an idea!

I just wanted to throw this out there and ask how you regain motivation for most of your comics, and are there any tips for people who are trying to start their own?

so for motivation that's a bit more difficult, since its very much different with different people! What i can suggest is- i guess not to as much as i do HELP I've learned that I'm a freak of nature, and that normal people don't finish 20 comic pages in a day I usually just let motivation make me work on pages, instead of forcing myself to work (which is why i- again can get 20 pages done in a day to not working for months), but erm! that's just how I work, and I don't think I'd recommend working like that for everyone! What I sometimes do for motivation though- is making a spotify playlist with my characters and listening to it (especially the ones I have animatic ideas for, as I like imagining how they would play out while I draw) You can also do things like OC activities (like the OCtober thing I've been (not) doing), or getting commed/traded art of the characters, as I also just like going through my own character's toyhouse galleries sometimes! I also like drawing lots. of lyric art

And for tips on comics, I do have a few! -Do not. for the love of all things make pages complex. I'm begging. (Unless ur crazy or smth) -I would recommend especially at the beginning of your comic, to make it as simple as you can! If you're a good way in, it might be a better time to add more detail (this goes for character design too. if they're complex, make a simple version please. HELP) -Reread your script over at least once! Better if it's like the day after, so you can make sure it's what you want -Write a super quick outline, with a summary of each chapter or event, so that you don't forget anything

-If you're going to upload publicly, I'd recommend a schedule! If you just post them whenever, you might end up with months of nothing -With schedules, I'd recommend having about a month of backlog in case you need a break! -Don't make your schedule too much!!! Just make it maybe like a page a week while you get used to it, or even every other week! You're not going to like your comic if you're always tired of working on it

Remember that this is all just how I do things! If something else works for you, than do that instead!

Delighted myself thinking about the witch kids again, specifically their various attempts to build a replacement portal during the Summer. I'm picturing lots of brainstorm sessions that stretch late into the night and when they get tired enough, they devolve into arguing over who gets the last piece of pizza or playing truth or dare or whatever.

Hunter is feeling really proud of himself for having helped Belos rebuild a portal before. He has experience! He can make himself super useful! And then Amity 'Woman in STEM' Blight is also aiming for the same thing. She's an inventor's daughter. Her Dad's main area of expertise is using magic to power technology. She has plenty of opinions on the mechanical side of things.

Hunter and Amity either click extremely well and are plotting away at a prototype immediately or they disagree on every trivial detail and cannot go five minutes without arguing about it. There's no real resentment here. They're both just used to doing everything themselves and struggle to work as a team.

I don't think the project would get off the ground without Luz. She keeps everybody from wasting time with dud ideas because she's already spent tons of time in the Boiling Isles attempting to build a portal home. She knows exactly what WONT work cuz she's already tried it. She's also got a knack for thinking outside of the box and knows that even though glyphs are rendered useless in this realm, they can still be utilized. If she draws just the right glyph combo and finds a bit of magic for the glyphs to soak up, she's pretty sure they can light this portal's engine up.

Vee reminds them that she's still got a supply of Hexes Holdem cards, which have been working pretty well for keeping her human form. Luz, who had forgotten those things existed, nearly hits the roof in excitement.

Vee doesn't contribute much to the whole construction process, but while she does supervise. She did a health and safety course while at Summer Camp and is diligently making sure nobody is getting their asses blown up.

Portal Building is not Willow's strong suit. She does not have Luz and Hunter's experience, Amity's engineering knowledge or Gus' enthusiasm for tinkering with human technology. So she does what she does best and offers support. She hypes her smart friends up. And when they start doubting that they're actually making any progress, Willow swoops in to encourage them that if ANYBODY can build a portal, her best friends can!! Once the team realizes that they're gonna need something super strong to hold the portal upright, Willow beams. Her vines!! Her vines are tough as hell!! She can do that!!

Gus falls behind a little at first. He might be a prodigy but his skills are quite dependent on the existence of actual magic, so he struggles a bit to find his purpose here. He's very eager to work with human technology but Luz knows more about them than he does. He's smart enough to offer ideas but Hunter and Amity always come up with them before he does because they're both annoyingly STEM brained and have gotten a bit competitive about it. Gus is given the task of gathering equipment for the portal with Vee and he tries not to pout about it. After they managed to track down a half busted TV at a lawn sale, Vee takes him to a petstore to cheer him up. Gus gloomily stares at the hamsters running in their little wheels. He idly thinks about an article he read in one of his human magazines. About how hamsters in wheels can create energy. Unfortunately, hamsters aren't magic.

Cut to 2 days later when the team realizes that the Hexes Holdem cards just aren't gonna cut it. They don't possess nearly enough magic to power up a portal. It's not gonna work. All the time they've spent on this, and it's not even gonna work. They need something else. Anything else.

Luz looks like she's gonna burst into tears. Amity is pacing back and forth. Hunter is like this close 🤏 to slamming his head against the wall in an effort to rattle a genius idea out of his brain. Willow is making a valiant effort to keep everybody from having a full blown meltdown.

Gus is staring intently at Flapjack who is pecking away at the floorboards again. Then he's like "Hey....hear me out....what if-?"

I think of myself as very sweet, or at least I try to be. I'm super energetic but once my social battery runs out I need a (long) break. I love to write/read and im a huge nerd when it comes to silly things like videogames and dragons! I have a lot of love for the world and try to see the good in everyone/everything. Showing up on the hangout spot to met your friend, Nobara, you caught lots of attention with your pretty pink dress and heels. no other eyes mattered more than the ones of Itadori Yuji, her friend from high school who decided to tag along on the mall.

Yuji had no expectations of you, that doesn’t mean that when you jumped on top of Nobara and started to talk happily, he didn’t feel like that day was becoming the most beautiful of the year — what’s the sound of birds in the morning or waves in the afternoon compared to your voice, Yuji wonders and comes with one answer: insignificant.

It takes you to finish your yapping to notice him, and much like he does, you also fall terribly easily. Unfortunately for Nobara, third wheeling was the only spot she could have in that moment.

So, you did went and made your shopping of makeup and clothes with her, but Yuji was the one taking most of your attention. Your friend tried really hard to be annoyed by it, but let’s be real, this encounter was most likely her idea, she did her own matchmaking of the two of you.

Your social battery started to get low after a few hours, a small pout forming on your lips, Nobara poked at you, but you only sighed, taking Yuji’s attention.

He didn’t want you to go, and with your desperate eyes at him, he knew you didn’t want him to go as well.

“Let’s go watch a movie.” He says, and that’s where Nobara draws the line of what she accept and doesn’t.

“Yeah! No.” You and him stare at her confused. “I mean, sure, you both go! Y/n has been wanting to see this movie with dragons for some time now, but I’m tired.”

In the dark room of the theater, after saying goodbye and a small thanks to Nobara, you are seated by Yuji’s side. Sharing popcorn and a cup of soda with two straws, you had thought you would be quiet, recharging to get back your animation to talk by the end of the movie.

Surprisingly, soon as a dragon appeared, you started to ramble in whispers about cool facts, and Yuji stared at you intensely, so focused that he would’ve prefer to be seeing you in the big screen rather than that movie. But scratch that, having you soo close is much worth.

That’s the first time you kissed, and can you really blame him? Both of your faces so close, an empty and cold dark room, and you looked so adorable with your dress and his jacket on top. No, you really can’t. You wouldn’t dare complain, instead you relented to his kisses, and many other dates, and many other kisses.

You do have from time to time those low battery moments, and thanks to Yuji, your now charming boyfriend, you have your own personal charger, working with small pecks and questions to make you yap about whatever you like. As always, Itadori keeps himself busy admiring you.

◛ ₊· Yuji loves your love for the world, you are basically sharing the same ideals, and therefore, anyone in yours and his presence gets granted a sight of gentleness and happiness. You both bring the good out of anywhere you go.

◛ ₊· Sometimes, Yuji’s charging its not enough, and that’s totally okay. He lets you keep in your own mind while he goes play games in your computer, his silence is enough to make you take your time. Alphonse elric 25 & 26 please!

I took forever to answer this one, but I need you to know I woke up super tired and seeing this got me out of bed this morning. That, my friends, is the sway Al has over me.

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Oh man, oh man... I don't remember my impressions of him from the very first episode, just that I really liked both of the Elrics. I had the feeling starting from a few episodes in that he was going to die, and have fond memories of looking at thumbnails for future episodes and breathing out a sigh of relief upon seeing he was still intact. During the confrontation with Scar in ep. 15, my jaw was on the floor and I legitimately thought he was a goner. That episode had the first Al Moment (TM) that really got to me, when he urges Ed to keep fighting even if he dies, and gets upset at him for staying to try and save him instead of fleeing. That scene says so much about him, and I love thinking about it in regards to the show's ending.

My initial impression of his personality was just that he was a gentle giant, and Ed was the impulsive and violent one. In the 5th Lab, he begs Ed not to make the Philosopher's Stone, even though it means he'll die. This gave me the impression at first that he really didn't like the idea of killing/harming others, but looking back, I think it's more that he didn't want to force his brother to go through the trauma of killing dozens of people just to get his body back. He really wants his body back, yes, but he values Ed's safety and sanity more overall.

Al, as it turns out, can be quite cruel at times for the sake of his brother--I'm reminded of when he suggests they just. Rip off Wrath's limbs and give them back to Ed. Because that's how limbs work. It was really at that point in my first watch that I started to see how Al's unfortunate disconnect from humanity could be impacting the way he sees the lives/feelings of others. My gut feeling is that if he were somehow in that 5th Lab position where he could make the philosopher's stone not only to save Ed but to restore Ed's body, he would absolutely do it, even if it would cause him distress. There's a lot more I could say about the 'deeper' parts of his personality that others have elaborated on with far better understanding and knowledge. But he's Not Well and I'm 100% here for it.

More of my opinions now: On my rewatch, I'm noticing how painful it is to see this kid in a huge suit of armor. The scene where he pretends to eat food for Nina while Ed just has the saddest look on his face? That killed me. He can't relate at all to the feeling Ed had as he felt Barry was about to kill him. He thinks the best way to avenge Nina is to use Tucker's research to prevent future cases like hers. He points out in episode 5 that (even before joining the military!) the brothers had no control over what happened that day. Bonus amnesiac Al point: He says in CoS super nonchalantly that his soul seems to leave his body easily!?! Girl!!!!!!

I'll hopefully have a better grip on his personality once I'm done with my rewatch, but there's something about it I can feel but can't quite articulate that just draws me in like nothing else. In case it isn't obvious, I'm pretty darn sure Al is my favorite character this time around.

Ep. 6 - He says, "I wonder if I was that warm and soft when I was born." Then starts to cry a little. (I hate this show, I wrote down in my notes.)

Ep. 1 - It's a very small detail, but Al seems to believe resurrection could still occur with the Philosopher's Stone, while Ed doesn't buy it for one minute. This reminds me of Al's similar hopeful attitude in episodes like 10. I think he has a habit to look at things as they're given to him and not much further, as long as they make him happy--of course the Stone should have all those powers, and of course a woman just like his mother would be incredibly kind. He's very much the type to march on ahead no matter what and ignore the implications of doing so. That's not to say he's stupid--I don't think he is. He's quite introspective and insightful, he just chooses not to dwell on some things as he tries his best to reach his goals. Maybe I'm a bit closer to understanding him now...

Ep. 5 - Alright, a silly one. When he's about to beat up the criminals and he appears all menacing and says, "いらっしゃい" ("welcome"), that got a great laugh out of me. He's so silly.

Night Kapyy but he's been tied up until he turns back to normal.

thus he has the mouth of a sailor like this (mainly because i thought it would be funny), so i used symbols in place of letters where i could for those words.

I had fun making this. Didn't want it to be super detailed. I also did the last two squares first and originally put names for the speech bubbles but i decided against it for the other two squares and didn't want to go back and fix them. I'm trying to get better at writing dialogue but every time i do it reads as sort of robotic. Its probably because i can't have a conversation without coming off as awkward and its just affected me when i try to write dialogue lol.

How does this work with the twins headcanon? The levitating extreme coach, or the guard, is the one who convinced Kapyy to get help which ultimately led him being sent to Wasterra where he unknowingly met his twin. Though it did take him a while to actually convince him, as Kapyy was being stubborn saying that he was fine, even though the guard could see straight through him. Like he wouldn't admit that they are friends but he cares about him. He finds it easier to talk with Talia because he isn't constantly worried about her like he is with Kapyy. Let's say Si'ha Nova personally got him to do this as she thought he was being antisocial, he's still getting payed though but at least he's probably enjoying it.

Then Night Swan got Kapyy and these two had to tie him up until he's normal again and so that no one gets hurt. Mainly Kapyy, as if he wasn't tied to that chair he'd run and do that thing that whilst running he turns his head round to taunt them and he slams into a wall like a looney tunes character. He'd eventually tire himself out trying to free himself.

Honestly i can imagine a map to End Game by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Future with them as the coaches. I always thought that that song would make a good trio map. Might make a concept for that now, i know what most of the choreo would look like lol. Watch me learn blender and make it an animation or something.

I wanted to a quick bonus drawing, where Kapyy is back to normal and half asleep asking if he's back to his old self ,even though he has been for about an hour, and Talia is with him making sure he's ok, but now i want to turn my idea for it into a proper drawing. I just want to draw the two being siblings i know that's all i post and none of it really makes sense.

Also, I'm sorry if answers will disappoint you but I don't have a thought behind color picking. Truth is lately I've been just using colors I like, trying to make them fit to the overall vibe of the drawing.

For example, in the vamp marla drawings I used a dark moldy orange cause it reminded me of rust and decay, and with that I added some tilted bright magenta lines to contrast it and make it pop. That's it. And to figure them out I just kept modifying the hue until I liked the combination. So I guess, play around with colors, be silly :3

Oh also lines and halftones play a big role in my drawings. I don't like having many elements of the same value one next to the other, cause they don't make each other stand out. (imagine a plain outfit with EVERYTHING black. Nothing else. Kinda boring).

I try in fact to put dark areas next to brighter ones so their shapes are more distinct to the sight (the eyes in the drawing for example wouldn't be so visible if there wasn't the dark eyeshadow to drag your eyes towards them. The hair has subtle black lines as texture while the skin has halftones, this makes the brain perceive them as different).

Now for the outfits...well, since the past months I've been drawing the same 3 blorbos in their canon fits, soooo use reference I would say... referencing things is always the best thing you can do, from fits and especially colors if you're trying to obtain a certain mood or atmosphere (and I be forgetting cause I'm lazy but don't be like me 💥).

I did design the following fits out of raw imagination, but I needed some reference for cowboy and pirate fits on pinterest.

In these cases I tried to add some recurring patters for each of them.

Narrator has many horizontal lines going on on the pants (design and the dangly things on the side) while also having like two belts and a string. More lines yippie!

With marla I went with earrings matching the necklace, while also adding lace (is that how it's called??) on the rims of her top, glove things and collar. For her top and skirt I went with vertical lines that are also present on her stockings while cloak/scarf has those repeating things at the end (me when I don't know clothing vocabulary).

Tyler has kinda the more boring fit cause I was getting tired. I was trying to go with items of the upper body being tighter while having large pants with bug boots, kinda triangle shaped, but ehh I need to work more on that. Reoccurring would be the flowy clothes folds cause I view them as soft materials contrasted with a more rough vest. I tried to add on that soap bubbles patterns but it's kind of a weak effect so fnenrne.

Again. Reference. And taking breaks between designs cause your brain at some point has enough of your ideas.

Uhmm idk if all this yapping in an okay answer for you, I spent all afternoon trying to analyze my drawings and I was going insane. But I thank you for asking cause you made me realize I should adapt to a stable technique huehue =w=

super long incoherent rambling lol

it's been five years since the last time i posted art on here. i joined so long ago that my blog contains posts from around a decade ago lol, there are definitely a lot of things on here that did not age well. it is fun seeing my interests and art change overtime though. it's also interesting to see how much the people i followed has changed from how i remember them.... you guys aren't drawing love live anymore smh...... (kidding)

looking back, i've definitely built most of my follower count from making persona content. to this day, they're still getting notes!! i do want to say that i appreciate these comments in my inbox that are probably too old to properly respond to now.

like seeing them all related to persona, ESPECIALLY p2 makes me SO happy ajsksjdk 🥺😭😭

i also saw some requests, probably from when i had them open maybe? they're such good ideas and i don't know if it's too late to get to those lol. unfortunately, i'm not into persona as much as i used to, though i still occasionally think about persona 2--tatsujun especially. i'll have to get back into the right mindset if i ever wanted to make content for it again. my friend recently got back to posting persona content here (esp 1 and 2) so i might just hand them to her hehe

anyway, i got tired of twitter forcing me to see content i dislike (like seriously... i need people to tag things). i would like to post here again and, while the content is unfortunately not as abundant as twitter's, i feel much safer browsing through people's work here. i don't know if i'll keep it consistent though, i might just post a few things and dip for a few years again 😅 and i feel like not wanting to upset myself has trained me to spend less time online. nevertheless i'll try my best.

For what it's worth, I started this blog at a time in my life when I was stressed, tired, and didn't have any idea what to do about it. I was working my first ever job, which came with 10, 11, 12 hour days, and had no friends that were regularly free and wanting to hang out, so I made up a project to work on in my spare time. This blog is filled with pencil drawings that I did at work, on my parents living room floor, and on the bus. Stuff I drew in bed before immediately passing out for my next shift. Things I drew because I didn't know what else to do. I've been easily fatigued most of my life so it's always been so easy to just curl up in a shell away from everything.

So I want to say this: me stepping away and being really spotty about coming back is not a sign of poor mental health. I'm doing a lot better than I was. I have a handful more medical diagnoses and can take medicine that helps me regulate myself a lot better. I don't live with my parents anymore and I work 7 hour days, instead of 12 hour ones. My roommate is so happy to have me here and I see my friends every Saturday. I'm getting close to feeling confident enough to take my drivers test for a license (I'm just slow at it, calm down). And so while I've been gone, and have been reminiscing for the past couple days on here about how much fun it used to be, it's also structurally a good sign that I have been able to cope with stepping back from all this. "All this" being, drawing fanart I guess, but some of the criticism I got I didn't take well, and it was because for whatever reason in 2018 ghosttrolls the au/crossover between Danny phantom and trollhunters was the biggest thing I had going on in my life. It was like, in a way, really personal to me, really vulnerable. Sorry if I was mean once or twice, I like to think I've relaxed more since then.

I want to try and rediscover the spark this blog had that drove me so far to create so many doodles and ideas and conversations, so many words in so many fics, because I haven't been creating as much lately, and I miss it. I haven't been doing anything *recurring* for a while and I feel like I'm missing a creative project in my life, I want to stretch my creative muscles more. So that's why I'm trying to post more again. But I probably won't be super good at it for a while, I've broken all my old social media habits so it's kind of like starting over fresh. It'll be a bit of an experiment! Let's see where it goes.
