Tory Lanez is trending in the streets of Twitter as people take to their timelines to react to him receiving a 10-year prison sentence for the July 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. 

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Herriford handed down the sentence to the 31-year-old Canadian rapper/singer, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, on Tuesday (August 8).

The only thing I have to say about this Tory Lanez sentencing is that he is an abuser. He’s harmed more than one woman. 10 years is not enough and it’s very hard to rehabilitate repeat offenders with no remorse. People talk about introjects from "problematic" media & how they're valid (which they are) a lot, but I don't see as much love or understanding for introjects of problematic people from "nonproblematic" media.

I don't think people realize how difficult it is existing as one of those introjects. Acknowledging the exception of source-seperation, it's a lot of either self-hatred, or feeling like absolute garbage because there is an endless amount of hate directed toward someone who looks like you, speaks like you, or otherwise feels like you.

He should have taken a plea deal and accepted the consequences for his, or better yet just not fire gun shots at people while getting drunk. It’s not that complicated to do the right thing and to do right by others.

I know we’re three years into the 2020 decade, but I think we got ourselves the worst career downfall of the decade. And it’s worse not because is deserving but because it’s how preventable it was. somebody’s gonna make documentaries about this one day. It’s probably gonna be on tubi or something like that.
