He can't help he small laugh that comes from him about the condo and having to explain his misstep after all, "Only good intentions. I meant it to be yours in case you needed space, but it ended up giving the impression that I needed it from you. I didn't, and it was very shortsighted of me, but at least I learned something."

Like she had caught his, Midas notices the something else in Price's look. It's similar to others that were thrown his way in previous relationships. Unmistakable, it's the look of someone who enjoyed the reaction pulled from him, intentional or otherwise. However, he knows there wasn't intent behind sharing the anecdote from Price, so he doesn't think much of it.

Though, when she steps close and touches his collar, fingers lingering and dragging down before she's batting her eyelashes at him, a thought crosses his mind. One born from years of bad habits and libidinous decisions that he'd beat down with a nailed baseball bat if he physically could. In lieu of that possibility, King Midas reminds himself of her age, his position in her mind as a man of myth she admires, who she is, and most importantly, who she isn't.

Flattering though her attention may be, he would not be indulging in it the way a past version of himself might have.

Rather, he hums low at the compliment before going to lead her out of his office, "You do get a tattoo, though I'm not sure when. It's on your lower back, a heart with design flourishes on either side, colored like fire. I think it suits you well. Future you, at least."

The flick to the relic sitting relatively harmless on her neck draws his eyes to it for a moment. Knowing that what she calls a 'trinket' would one day be embedded into her spine is enough to send his eyes back forward, lest he wince, "It has been rather cold, much of the snow has only recently melted. I do know there are shorts in your wardrobe. In a few colors, I think."

While some of Valeria's more often worn clothes did make their way into Midas' own closet, the majority of their belongings were in her own room below deck, so he lead the way there rather than his bedroom.

"I do apologize if it seems I am being avoidant about myself. While I did mean it when I said there are certain things I don't enjoy recounting, I wouldn't mind telling you about some of my experiences in this reality. Or about my tattoos." He adds with a coy little smile, "It's just that it will take time, and I'm afraid I have a prior engagement tonight that I can't reschedule and have to prepare for. Once you are changed and settled, I'll be leaving you to explore the yacht and upper property if you wish. Again, I must implore you not to go further. For nothing if not my peace of mind that you are safe."

At the door to where the cursed Valeria had been brought, Midas gave one last nod to Brutus before taking a quick breath. He knocked twice before opening the door and stepping inside.

The sight of them was...stressful. Valeria was indeed around 20. The differences in her appearance almost as jarring as he'd imagined the Prince had been to everyone, with a smaller frame, her hair black, red underneath not quite her natural color, and much darker makeup than Midas saw Valeria wear these days. Skye's skinny jeans on them would be humorous under different circumstances.

He put a polite smile of his face despite the worry nagging at his core, not knowing exactly what to expect from the younger version of the person he'd come to adore.

"Hello, Miss Price. I apologize for the confusion you must be feeling." He said with a short bow, hands behind his back, "I am Midas, it's a pleasure to meet you."

He left out his royal title on purpose, thinking it might bring about a line of questions. Though, it might be a moot point with the crown sitting in his hair. And his armor. And the gold gauntlet. And the gold on his damn hand that he regretted not keeping behind his back now.

"This is my yacht, we call her The Marigold. The man who showed you to this room, Brutus? He brought me to speak with you. Said you were...expecting a photoshoot?"

Between the time of being left in the room and Midas arriving Valeria had found herself entertained enough trying to guess the passcode of the phone she'd found in her pocket. It was nice, with a heavy black case and some odd symbol on the back that she almost recognized.

The man on the lockscreen, however, was a complete stranger to her. He looked nice despite the scars over one of his eyes which she decided he pulled off well.

Idly she wondered if he was some model she didn't know yet.

Leaning back into the couch and kicking her feet to stave off her boredom she continued to make up an entire life for a man she only had a singular image of. Valeria decided he was a model, an older one of course but that's not uncommon for male models, and he probably did a lot with high class attire. Anything but shades unless it was a summer shoot and they were sitting on his hairline rather than his actual face.

She shifts again to sit back up, nail tapping on the screen to keep it from going dark, just in time for Midas to knock and enter.

"Oh thank gods, like, where the HELL am I?" Yet, she doesn't even bother to actually look at him while he talks.

At least until he says his name and she perks up instantly. Valeria's head whips to look at him, flaming embers flying off of her hair and fortunately cooling before scattering across the couch.

He continues to talk and all she can do is stare owlishly at him as she takes in every feature from his face to the crown and his hand.

His hand.

"No way," Her words came out more like a gasp of awe as she slowly stood up, eyes sparkling with curiosity and literal sparks as the relic around her neck clinks against the gold bands. "Brutus? Is that really-" A laugh bubbles out of her mouth and she sheepishly tries to cover her mouth. "No, no I'm sorry, um, oh wow."

Valeria takes a moment to try and compose herself but it's clear she has a very specific question in mind.

"Like, I had assumed it was a shoot but now I have no clue what's going on but like, you're," She clenches and unclenches her fists as if trying to contain herself. More flames flutter from her hair as she talks.

"I can tell, oh my gods, you're The Midas aren't you? Not, not a model dressed up for some tattoo shoot right?"

I know you support debbie in the whole season six situation (where Fiona was gonna kick her out) but I support Fiona on that one. I'm not a huge Fiona fan but that was the one time I did support her. I was a huge Debbie fan until that season. She was going baby trap Derek whom she lied to about being on the pill and get mad when he didn't want to raise the baby that he didn't give consent to having. It honestly pisses me off when people defend Debbie.

okay, i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again: i don’t defend everything she’s done.

i didn’t really like debbie in season 6, but in comparison to fiona, i did. or at least i thought she was reasonable for wanting to keep her baby.

was she reasonable for begging fiona to keep her baby? nope.

was she reasonable for baby-trapping derek? fuck no.

but was fiona resonable for practically forcing debbie to get an abortion and after debbie gave birth, acting as if debbie is barely family? no.

stay mad, idc. but i’ll defend her with my life because she was FOURTEEN up until a few weeks before franny’s birth. she was a kid, her decisions were stupid, her intentions were stupid, her logic was stupid, but she wasn’t as evil as people think she was.

and baby-trapping derek was fucked up, but derek also sucked imo. he got his family to gang up on debbie (who was 3 or 4 years younger than her btw, not like that matters but it’s weird how they were all fighting with a young teenager), left, and then tried to come back and act like everything was fine. i get her intentions, i do, and yeah, they were wrong- but again, what fourteen year old makes perfect, logical, adult decisions? debbie may have been acting like an adult, but she wasn’t.

and it’s not like i don’t get fiona’s side, i do agree with some aspects. i get that she didn’t want another kid to raise, but by season 7, debbie did it all (except for a few instances like when she lost franny) and learned from her mistakes and raised franny. was she amazing? not really, but fiona didn’t do shit, as she said she wouldn’t and y’all pretend that she actually raised franny.

and to y’all who think that debbie was bad for not wanting fiona in the ambulance or not wanting to go to the wedding, i think it’s valid. she was being a bitch, but valid. in her mind, fiona despised her and wanted the one thing she loved dead, and was she right? not exactly, but from her perspective i get it and if i was her age and in her position i feel like i’d act the same way.

and i don’t support fiona kicking her out. sorry, anon! kicking the child you got guardianship over is always fucked up. that’s basically her kid who she kicked out. she was still a child. that’s child neglect. hate debbie and her decisions all you want but she didn’t deserve to be kicked out/homeless, sorry not sorry.

Ratchet and Bumblebee--or at least their human holoform things--are up there as well ● gah, holo-Bumblebee has a creepy smile as well!

● basically they're running an errand for Prowl to get evidence for something that will warrant an alert status upgrade ● the three humans are so tiny next to the Decepticon equipment. ● pg 9. Bumblebee has a cannon that pops out of his hood ● Bumblebee wings (heh) Skywarp with his laser, while Ratchet takes on Blitzwing ● Ratchet uses Blitzwing's paranoia/overactive optic sensors to spook him with a well-placed flash that causes the jet to veer into some trees ● Ratchet goes to make sure his opponent is out of the fight, but he takes a huge blast to the chest ● Gah! who's the tank?! (I'm still learning) ● yiiiikes I think Verity just walked in on Megatron ● 👏👏👏👏👏

Synopsis: Three years ago, a young Verity Carlo meets with a social worker after running away from yet another foster home. Her social worker sees right through Verity's tough façade and states that all she sees is a girl "in a world of hurt and pain".

In the present day, Hunter O'Nion, and Jimmy Pink watch as Verity rappels into the depths of an abandoned Decepticon fortress in the wilderness of Nebraska. Using their holomatter avatars, Ratchet and Bumblebee watch on; Ratchet is adamant that when this escapade is over, the humans are going home, while Bumblebee warns the trio to watch for booby traps.

As the two boys follow Verity into the shaft and split up to investigate, Bumblebee confides to Ratchet that he thinks that the Autobot medic might be right—but to change Prowl's mind, they'll need hard evidence that something's wrong… and the humans fall into the "acceptable losses" category if it means getting that evidence.

In Dallas, Texas, Drake meets with a group of humans in the Epsilon Holdings building—a front for the shadowy group known as the Machination led by Abraham Dante. Jolly reports on recent events: a series of anomalous vehicle attacks throughout the southwest United States have led the group to conclude that the "visitors" are moving into the next stage of their operations. Having received a homing signal from their deceased operative Stoker, Drake and his team of operatives are dispatched to "accelerate" their "acquisition strategy…"

Deep inside the Decepticon bunker, Verity discovers a strange sight: a jumbled series of glowing green tubes, each one big enough to hold a human. Ignoring Jimmy's warnings, Verity goes ahead and opens one… and is immediately confronted by the gruesome sight of a rotted corpse wearing a military uniform. Despite the shock, Verity manages to compose herself and move on; as she does so, however, she's unaware that, topside, the two Autobots have visitors of their own in the shape of Skywarp and Blitzwing. Paying no heed to the Autobots, the two fliers launch a massive bombing run on the base, forcing the two Autobots to outrun the explosions!

Ratchet yells for the humans to evacuate the base as fast as possible; while Jimmy and Hunter comply, Verity, determined to make up for losing her cool earlier, ignores Ratchet's orders and goes to investigate the last section of the base. As she does so, battle breaks out as the Autobots try to buy time for the humans—Bumblebee pits his superior processor speed against Skywarp's teleportation power and comes out on top, while Ratchet shoots Blitzwing out of the sky. When the medic goes to make sure that his opponent is downed for good, however, he's not so lucky, and is quickly taken out by a volley from his opponent's tank mode…

…and, underground, Verity discovers that she's not the only occupant of the Decepticon fortress as she enters the last room of the base and comes face to face with its other occupant: Megatron!

After you small freak out your dad and you both sworn off social media not wanting to see all the rumors from the press and really you just needed time. Your dad didn't give you a second to over think, having you help him with anything really. It wasn't till you were at school talking with your friends that you found out everything the press was saying.

"How are you so calm? The press has been going crazy spreading rumors about you!" Marcus was the first to bring it up.

"I haven't been on social media lately or really my phone, what have they been saying?" You asked scooting over to look at his phone which had an article up about you and your pregnancy.

"All kinda of stuff they have even been trying to figure out who the father is!" Oscar told you.

"Here look at this one." Liam handed you his phone.

"In one of the teen's most recent posts on Instagram, it revealed she's now living with the actor. In this post showing a photo of her, Evans, and their dog Dodger. She said: "Nice to be home with Dad and Dodger. Living here full time the last couple weeks has been great!" Then last week she posted this photo of herself with a tiny baby bump with the caption: "As my last post as cause many questions maybe this with clear some things up. Two new Evans are. due in November. I prefer not to go into detail about anything about me being home or about the babies or their father, I just prefer the media and my dad's fans staying out of it. I hope you all can respect that ." In it, she mentioned two new Evans. So from this, we take she is having twins. But who is the father? It is unknown right now to us and possibly the Evans family that could be why they didn't tell us in this post. No one in the Evans family has said anything new but Chris Evans Ex-wife, M/n M/l/n has taken to Twitter and said: "Flaunting the pregnancy is no way to treat this I can not believe you are my daughter I raised you better then that." The teen doesn't have a twitter so we assume she has not seen it. Many fans of Chris Evans have made posts sharing their support for the family and how they are excited to know more about the babies. While a majority of them are not approving of it."

You read over the article then your mom's tweet shocked at her words. You knew she wasn't supportive but to be going so far to make a public post on Twitter. You didn't care about the rumors sure got overwhelming but you were more then used to them. You weren't used to your mom doing it though.

"Guys! Stop it you idiots. She was obviously ignoring social media for a reason." Leah said taking the phone from you glaring at the boys.

"You good?" Naomi asked you.

"Yeah..." You mumbled starting at your food.

You walked home from work staring at your phone, trying to decide if you break the no social media thing. Your dad would never know. You did you opened Instagram and began to scroll through the notifications you got, you noticed that the post announcing that you moved home had all of the comments about your pregnancy as you didn't turn off. You scrolled through few, a lot of them were insulting you and the rest were showing their support, you liked the ones giving you support but did your best to ignore the hate. You sighed before going on to check Jake's page to see if he posted anything. He didn't all his posts were with your old friends, and some new girl you didn't recognize. If you had a Twitter you would've checked it but you didn't. You looked up noticing you were home and closed the app before quickly walking inside. You didn't say anything as you took your shoes off and headed for the stairs.

"Sweetpea! How was work?" Chris asked from the kitchen counter.

"It was good." You exclaimed from where you stood.

"Come here bubba. Tell me about your day." He said, you reluctantly went over and began talking to him about work. "How school did something happen?" He asked noticing how you didn't mention a single thing from school not even a funny joke one of your friends told you.

"I broke the no going on social media thing..." You mumbled.

"Sweetpea." He sighed. "Why?"

"Marcus asked how I was so calm with rumors going about me from the press... And then Liam showed me an article and it had something mom said about me in it and I-i just needed to know..." You mumbled leaning your head on the counter as Chris stopped doing the dishes drying his hands before going to sit on the stool next to you grabbing his phone.

"What did she say?" He asked rubbing your shoulder.

"She said she couldn't believe I'm her daughter and that she raised me better... Dad... Do wish this didn't happened?" You asked looking up at him tears in your eyes.

"Sweetpea... I do wish you could have had more time to grow up before this... And I do wish your mom didn't say what she said... But if this didn't happen you wouldn't be in my house right now would you?"

"I guess but... You and mom said you didn't want to be grandparents for a long while and in less then nine months you'll have two grand kids." You mumbled wiping your tears away.

"Bubba it just makes me feel old that's all. I'm proud you're my daughter..."

"But-"

"Nope nope I'll ground you if you keep talking like that." He warned. You giggled. "Now dinner will be done in an hour go do your homework and stay off your phone of I'm taking it." You nodded going to your room dodger behind you. He let out a sigh pulling his phone out and going to twitter. He sighed again.as he went to your mom's twitter page first thing was the post. He retweeted, "Big words for the person who kicked her out." Then he put the phone away and went back to cooking dinner.

Do you think Kim Kardashian deserves to be famous?: Yeah I’m a Kardashian-Jenner apologist at my core lol, so...but while I don’t think ‘deserve’ is the right word for it, I do like how she’s been able to do stuff on the side apart from the show to keep herself (and to an extent, her family) top of mind with a big audience. It’s certainly helped with me haha.

luna was born and raised in frostford to yuliana and marcos santos - both of which are of brazilian roots but their families have been living in the us for decades. her family is rich rich and it stems back for a few decades. don’t ask me how they made their fortune because i actually have no clue as of right now. we working on it.

she was the youngest child and only daughter to yuliana and marcos which meant that she was instantly their pride and joy. their princess. their doll. 

she has two older brothers - jax (32) and santiago (35) - who love their little sister to pieces and have never really been a big fan of the way their mother treats luna,

INCOMING MOMMY ISSUES

yuliana was the kind of girl that wanted to be in pageants growing up but her family never allowed her the chance because they valued education over anything that had to do with glamour despite having the money to blow on the fancy aspects. so! the moment yuliana found out that she was having a daughter, she was ECSTATIC. she could finally get to live the life of pageants that her parents robbed her of and she was thriving.

so comes my baby luna

from the moment she was born, her mother had her in fancy dresses and from the moment that she could walk, yuliana made sure that her daughter could perfect the pageant walk before she could perfect walking like a normal human being. if she did something right, she’d drown luna in affection. if she did something wrong, she’d scowl and tell her to do it again. often times this resulted in her crying - especially when she was still a toddler.

over the course of her childhood, she continued with the pageant life and slowly it became something that she lived and breath. she felt like it was the best way to connect with her mother and a part of her really did have a love for the whole ordeal. for a while. by the time she was eight, her mother essentially had the picture perfect pageant girl and she’d completely forgotten that this girl also needed love and a mother to help her through life.

but her dad? a sweetheart, a gem, the most affectionate dad that she could have ever asked for and she loves him to pieces. calls him every single day. or texts. santos fam group chat is her, marcos, jax, santiago, and her maternal grandparents. ANYWAYS! WE CONTINUE!

despite yuliana’s instance that her kids go to private school, her parents convinced her to just send her kids to public school because it would offer the kids a chance to actually get to know people around town that weren’t in their parents circle of rich idiots. this was luna’s saving grace. in school, she made genuine friendships and she finally found a sense of comfort. 

not that that lasted long because yuliana was instantly up her ass telling her that those kids from school weren’t real friends and that she had to focus on her priorities aka pageants. only pageants. always PAGEANTS. so... that’s exactly what luna did. 

can you tell that her mom is a demon yet? ‘cause we got more!

moving on to high school! things were essentially always the same. luna would go to school, live her life, make some friends but eventually she’d lose said friends because of her mom or because luna put up a wall since she knew that she’d lose them anyways. 

she was in a car accident with her older brother jax when she was sixteen which resulted in her missing a pageant which made yuliana BIG MAD. 

it was in her senior year of high school that yuliana set luna up with one of her friends sons and essentially forced her to be in a relationship with someone she had no connection w/at all. 

she dated this person for a while (again, to make her MOM happy, not herself) up until her mother started talking about getting married which was when luna was like LOL ABORT MISSION and broke up w/the dude. did she like him? sure. but she wasn’t going to get married after high school. no thanks. 

yuliana, naturally, was furious. got mad. was mad for a while. oscar the grouch mad 24/7.

THEN CAME COLLEGE! LUNA WAS FINALLY FREE! well... not really because her mother picked her school for her as well as her major; columbia university with a major in business. why? because she knew people who worked at the school that would be able to keep an eye out on her daughter. 

SOMEHOW? luna still managed to find a sense of freedom the moment she stepped foot onto campus and was away from her mother. she was studying something she hated but she finally could live a life where she didn’t feel like she had to constantly please her mother or worry about falling out of line. it felt amazing.

this was where she discovered hook ups and friends w/benefits and BOI OH BOI was she thriving!

it was in her senior year of college that she had a long talk with her grandparents about what she wanted for herself and where she saw herself going. they wanted what was best for her and that meant getting her out from their own childs clutches who only saw luna as someone to parade around. it took her a while but the words from the talk stayed with luna until she was twenty two and she finally stood up for herself and told her mother NO MAS. 

yuliana was like BITCH WHAT but luna was like YOU HEARD ME even though it was a bit less... blunt that i just made it seem. 

at twenty two, she stopped competing in pageants and went off on an adventure to europe with her grandparents. her grandparents were really only with her for a month as they settled them into a nice place in italy but after that, she was finally happy. 

she lived in italy and traveled around europe until she was twenty five which was when she moved back to frostford because she missed her grandparents, dad and older brothers. when she moved back, her grandparents helped her find a cute little home and she even got herself a red husky named kida - since she’d never been allowed to have a pet before in her life. 

her dad still gives luna anything and everything she could ever want bc we stan a man who watches out for his child but luna also wants to make a life for herself outside of her parents money so she went and got a job. it was harder than she expected but she finally was willing to get one thanks to june diaz so now she’s a waitress at the whole enchilada and has been since she got back a solid year ago. 

did i mention she’s been back one year? i feel like i should have mentioned it somewhere above but oh whale. 

her new found freedom (its new even after four years OKAY) has also left her with a bit of a reckless streak. she is, in fact, a lot to handle at times and there’s other times where she falls back into that docile behavior her mom basically morphed into her. so... yeah!

FUN FACTS!

she wanted to be a cheerleader in high school but her mother was like NOT ON MY WATCH YOUNG LADY

her very first shift working at the whole enchilada resulted in her accidentally dropping a customers food on the floor and getting yelled at which resulted in her hiding in the bathroom to cry

she’s fluent in english, portugese, italian and french

she’s a flirty drunk which means she will probs try to get w/you if she’s drunk. unless you’re taken bc she knows her boundaries and she says NO to taken men. 

anything she does regarding men is mainly to spite her mother bc she doesn’t really think she’s capable of falling in love. thanks to her mom basically making her feel worthless all her life :)

she’s a harry potter nerd and spiritually identifies as hufflepuff with slytherin tendencies even though pottermore told her 12 times that she is, in fact, a gryffindor. but she refuses to accept that. nope. not happening. 

her hair is currently dyed a lavender purple. it’s almost always lavender purple. just assume it’s that color 24/7 lol.

1. What takes up too much of your time? I tend to get wrapped up into random things that end up pulling my time away, like looking for something I can’t remember the name for. Probably tumblr or watching kdramas in general though.

2. What makes your day better? It depends on the day, really. A stress free school day, or a school day where I get good results make me happy.

3. What’s the best thing that happened you today? Well, I finished what I was making and then everything got messed up and deleted so that was Not Good, but other than that...I saw SHAZAM! and it was a fun watch :).

4. What fictional place would you like to go? Hmmm, this is a tricky one. Camp Half Blood, maybe? 

5. Are you good at giving advice? I don’t really think I am.

6. Do you have any mental illness? Not that I know of, no.

8. What musician inspired you the most? There have been a lot of musicians that have really stuck with me, honestly. NF is one of them, but from Kpop I’d have to say Han Jisung, definitely, as well as Fan Chengcheng, Namjoon, JR, Hyunsuk...a lot of the people I love and bias are people who have really made me think about things, and inspired me.

9. Have you ever fallen in love? No, not yet at least.

10. What’s your dream date? I would like something like going to see the cherry blossoms, taking a walk at night after dinner or something like that.

If you could change (or rather fix) the background and/or paternity of any five characters, who would they be?

Sam McCall - While I liked early Julexis, what the writers did to them pissed me off and turned me off of the couple.  Sam understandably kicked Julian out of her life, but has nothing to do with the rest of her Jerome relatives?  I liked her scenes with Ava when she was sick with toxoplasmosis.  She and Kiki interacted a lot and got along well when Sam dated Kiki’s dad Silas, but they don’t acknowledge the fact that they are cousins.  She doesn’t interact with Lucas or even babysit her baby brother Leo.  What was the purpose of making Julian Sam’s dad?

Franco - I hate this character for many reasons and the only time I liked him (as played by Roger Howarth) was when he and Nina were together pre-baby issue.  James Franco’s Franco was a fun psycho villain.  I hate all of his paternity rewrites.  First, he was Betsy Frank’s son.  Nope, he is Jason’s fraternal twin via Alan and Susan Moore.  Wrong, he is Heather Webber’s son by Scott, despite not looking like either one.  I like Roger Howarth, but he is miscast in this role.  I would rather Franco be Betsy Frank’s with the probably abusive creep Jim Harvey (who he resembles) rather than tarnish the Baldwins (Scott, Karen, Serena, Gail and Lee), even by association.

Nelle - There is so much wrong with this character.  If they were going to connect her to Carly, she should have been a Spencer relative, capitalizing on the fact that she previously played a younger version of Luke and Bobbie’s sister Pat, and not a Benson.  While in her early days, I liked that she was like a young Carly set on revenge.  They could have made her Carly’s daughter somehow, either from pre-Port Charles days in Florida (possibly from sleeping with Reese’s dad) or a previously unknown twin of Michael’s.  That way we wouldn’t have had to suffer through the train wreck that was Melle.  Or if they wanted her to be an original character, why not utilize the chemistry she had with Nina and reveal that she was Nina and Silas’ baby that was supposedly miscarried after what Madeline did?

Avery - Like many of you, I wish Avery was Morgan’s daughter.  It wouldn’t change much of her story.  Carly would definitely try and rig the paternity test.  Maybe we wouldn’t have suffered through more MorKiki and Ava wouldn’t have been indirectly responsible for Morgan’s death.

Griffin - I would make him Anna’s son with Duke, the child she supposedly miscarried when Olivia Jerome pushed her in the elevator.  In one of Olivia’s last scenes, she made an ominous remark about Griffin’s mother.  It would be amazing if she knew that Griffin was Anna’s and kept that secret out of revenge against the woman who “stole” Duke from her.  Plus, he is basically Anna’s son already with how protective and caring she is for him because he is Duke’s son.  Also, Robin and Emma already see him as a brother/uncle-like figure.  If Josh Madden, Erica Kane’s famous abortion, could be transplanted into her doctor’s wife as an embryo, why not the same treatment (in a good way) for Anna and Griffin?

****BONUS****  If we are stuck with Anna having a child with Faison, I would rather it not be the obvious path - Valentin lied about it being a girl and it will be Henrik/Peter August, who we know is Faison’s son and cohorts with Valentin.  I don’t mind Peter being Faison’s son and in league with Valentin, because we all knew the boy was shady af.  However, I would prefer if Anna did have another daughter and it was revealed to be Dr. Kim Nero.  She looks a lot like Anna.  It would give Tamara more story to work with and more avenues to take the character of Kim in.  Kim and Oscar would have more family (Henrik/Peter, Britt, Maxie’s baby, Robin, Emma, baby Noah, Alex Devane Marick, Gabriel Devane, Aidan Devane).

What five storylines would you rewrite?  And how?

Sam’s paternity/Port Charles re-visited - As I previously mentioned, I would change Sam’s paternity since she doesn’t utilize her Jerome heritage.  I would have made her Ryan Chamberlain’s daughter.  Ryan is Kevin’s dead psycho twin brother.  Ryan would still fit in with Alexis’ bad boy dating profile and it would make since that she would be a dead ringer for Livvie Locke.  I also would have kept Kevin as Livvie’s father since it was a disservice to Port Charles and its fans to rewrite such a story.  I would have kept the nods to Port Charles but they could have left out the supernatural elements, which were only brought into the later seasons of the show.  Port Charles did start out as a show about young doctors (including Scott’s daughter Karen Wexler) and nurses working at General Hospital, when the main soap went to more mob-related stories.  There were a lot of crossovers to begin with.  Also, there would be mention of Scott and Lucy’s adopted daughter Christina.

Nikolas’ storylines 2014-2016.  I’m not sure how I would write it, but Nikolas wouldn’t take over ELQ, be involved involved in “Jake Doe”/Drew/Jason drama, try to blackmail or kill Hayden, fake his death, or be killed by Valentin for Cassadine holdings.  I don’t mind Nik getting some dark Cassadine on, but don’t destroy his character like these years did.

Port Charles Mayoral Campaign of 2018.  I would have kept Laura as the anti-Charles Street development candidate (screw you, Frank!).  Olivia would have been in-character and struggling between supporting her husband Ned and fighting for the down-to-earth people living on Charles Street who are a lot like her Bensonhurst neighbors.  Laura would win, despite the dirty tricks pulled by Jim Harvey.  Ned would run a clean campaign.  Julian would run his bar and have little to do with the story.  Alexis would assist with Laura’s campaign, but otherwise stay out of politics and Charlie’s Pub.

There would be no Friz relationship.  Elizabeth would have dated Griffin instead (sorry, Grava).

Sonny wouldn’t have killed AJ.  While I enjoyed the distance between Michael and Sonny (as well as Carly) because of Sonny’s actions, it didn’t last long enough.  Sonny escaped the consequences yet again.  Also, there would be no Ava/Sonny sex on AJ’s grave, which would mean that Avery would have to be Morgan’s.  Michael would still have good relationships with all of his parents.  We would get to see AJ’s reactions to “Jake Doe” being “Jason” before finally revealed to be Jason’s twin Drew, as well as the real Jason being alive.  I would need all of Alan’s sons to reconcile their feelings toward each other.  AJ would be an attentive uncle to Jake, Danny, and Scout.

Anna willingly sleeping with Faison when she is a WSB trainee to get info and having his child, who is probably Henrik/Peter.  I may not have been alive when Robert, Anna, and Robin first came on in the 80s, but many fans have said that a flashback showed that Anna was a virgin when she first slept with Robert.  Writers, stop screwing with GH history.

Ignoring Sam’s relationships with Silas and Patrick in favor building up her relationship with Drew.  While I did like Siam, I did feel they were a rebound.  But Samtrick was a real relationship and it was going very well until Carly outed “Jake Doe” as “Jason”.  Sam was still her investigative, risk-taking self and a mom back then, compared to whoever she is now.  Yes, I feel like she would have went back to Jason and Patrick to Robin, in the end.

yessir. what did your dress for prom look like?  first was maroon.  second was black. what're all the enemies from games that have ACTUALLY scared you?  the clickers from "the last of us" are high up on the list.  fucking disgusting and terrifying concept.  pyramid head when i played "silent hill 2" the first time and he chased you down the corridor in the hospital freaked me out, but he himself i found more cool than scary.  there's this one, totally insignificant guy in the first "outlast" that really creeped me out- the guy in a straitjacket that followed you around asking to be your friend or something like that.  also the groom (i don't remember if he had an actual name) from the first "outlast" dlc was by far the most fucked-up villain in any game i have ever played, although he didn't actually scare me.  the keeper from "the evil within" was fucking creepy with how he stormed towards you, although he himself also didn't scare me; like pyramid head, i thought he was more cool than anything.  regenerators from "resident evil 4" are fucking terrifying.  the xenomorphs from "alien: isolation" are horrific because they're so realistic and have the best ai i've like ever seen of any monster in a game.  fucking scp-096, scp-173, and scp-049 from "scp containment breach" are goddamn horrifying.  they're the three biggest reasons i can't play that damn game lol.  i've played a lot of good horror games, so there's a good number. what do you like about the lead singer from your favorite band? Does anyone else feel like this episode feels choppy? Too many storylines running at once and they didn’t handle it well. It isn’t a Thursday show. No need to do that.

I love Charity enjoying hanging out with her daughter. That is what is happening. Charity just wants a connection while being Charity. Who I love. Flaws and all.  

Oh god. Charity is going to crash a car. Nope, she figured it out.

OH MY GOD. They hit a human being. WHAT?!?!! Oh, they ran. I kind of love this. Debbie and Charity on the run. What a fun mother and daughter activity. (snort laugh).

Leave it to David get all comedic with his defense of Tracy. Very cute how excited people got over her. Kerry is allowed to be angry, Dan was going to take the fall for something she didn’t do. Is this storyline dying down now?

They are planning a housewarming party. Of course, Rebecca is here. Can’t have a scene with Robert and Aaron without her involved. Gag me now. Can we have one moment of them alone! Come on show! One moment before Thursday.

“When we finish our drag act.” Ha. Faith hitting on Robert continues and cracks me up.

Now she is upset? She had six weeks to be upset. Which she never was. She is only upset because her plot showed back up. Also, Robert is so evil. Yada Yada Yada.Screw you show. Hey, Rebecca? Are you going to tell Victoria that you took advantage of her drunk, broken brother? Consent and all? NO? Of course, not.

Here is the thing. Instead of showing us her struggle for six weeks we just get all this now. I don’t buy it, and I will NEVER feel sorry for Rebecca White. I won’t even apologize for it. Not anymore. I shouldn’t be forced to like a poorly written and acted character.

Robert was trying to be nice in his Robert way. Oh yeah, Rebecca, unless your name is Aaron and you have a beard and a penis, HE DOESN’T WANT YOU.

Rebecca didn’t tell Robert she had the abortion. Now she is sending Ross after him. Yeah, what a victim. I thought she cared about Aaron according to her last interview. No one looks good here. Not Rebecca. Not Robert. Not Ross. If Emmerdale can admit that we have a ballgame. If not, screw them. I’m sticking around, and I’m staying a Robert Sugden fan. Not running me off.

‘It’s Just Speculation!’ – Robron Edition

I’m sure everyone saw the article and read all the quotes and read some other spoilers that weren’t new.  Either way, a lot of people are jumping into two camps. One thinks that everything sucks and why watch anymore and the other is I’m confident everything will be ok. Just wait and see.

I’m one of the wait and see people. In my eyes, the plot is moving way too fast, there are way too many plot holes, and the magazines seemed to spell out every turn that is going to happen. It leaves us with nothing to look forward to or even care about.

That is where the speculation starts for me.

I think the true story lies between the lines. We won’t be able to see it until it is happening. I will say for someone who was CONVINCED Robert and Aaron would break up, having Aaron support Robert is nice to see. No, I don’t think that means he is a doormat. He is an adult. He loves Robert.  Aaron is committed to Robert. He isn’t going to let him go that easily. Not this time. A lot of people are getting hung up on word choice. Once again, word choice. Spoilers love to use certain words to evoke a reaction. We consistently fall for it as a fandom.

We don’t know what will happen until it airs. Plain and simple. We can get upset over every little word or sit back and watch the show. Once the path is clear, it is up to the individual to decide if they are in or out of the show.

Personally? I am in. Why? This storyline is nothing. I’ve seen worse on Young and the Restless. This is classic soap. Yes, it hurts but at the end of the tunnel we have Robert and Aaron together and fighting for each other. That is all I want as of now. Those two always fighting for one another.

So, read the spoilers, enjoy the fandom but don’t let it dictate if you are in or out. Let the story air and then decide.

As per usual, STAY OFF THE MESSAGE BOARDS. They will only drive you up a wall. That is what they want.

What do you miss about college? I never really got the college experience. I got pregnant & married instead.

What is/was your dream school? I grew up in California so I really for the longest time wanted to go to USC or UCLA. However, after high school I wanted to go to VCU, but we couldn’t afford it. 

Do you wish you could talk to someone about your past? If so, who? No, I attempted to go to therapy for postpartum depression but my therapist just wanted to focus on my dad’s alcoholism. So I just don’t really care to anymore, I have moved past it on my own so I don’t really want to relive it.

Have you ever completed a weight loss program? Nope.

When was the last time you did something for the first time? I was just talking to my husband about this the other day, I can’t remember what we were talking about though. But I fried shrimp for dinner for the first time, that was exciting & it was delicious.  

Which do you prefer: Valentine’s Day or Easter? Either? I don’t really celebrate anymore, unless you count my lilies & bottle of liquor from my husband. I like to celebrate with my kids more. 

Do you wait until the last minute to decorate, or do you decorate early? Decorate for what? I’ve been in my house for over 18 months & it’s still not decorated. 

What’s your favorite Starbucks drink? Year round, iced caramel macchiato with extra caramel, light ice and whole milk. I count down to holiday drink time though caramel brulee latte is my absolute favorite Starbucks drink ever. 

What were you wearing in the last good selfie you took? Probably my PJs, my three year old & I take plenty of selfies on Snapchat everyday. She loves filters. 

What’s on your wish list right now?  A lot of stuff, the number one thing was a new laptop & my husband already bought me one so I have to figure out what else there is so that people have something to buy me for Christmas.

What’s the best family vacation you’ve ever been on? When I was probably about 7 or so we went to New Jersey for Christmas, probably the last time all the cousins were together for a holiday. Anyway someone had chicken pox so they sent all of us out to play together in the sunroom, I had already had it twice so I didn’t end up getting, everyone else did though. We also played in the snow, sledded down the hill & went to the QuikStop (From Clerks) multiple times. 

Have you ever wanted to be a model? No, it’s not something I’ve ever really wanted to do. 

What years did you attend prom? I attended my junior prom my junior year & prom my senior year, did not have fun either time & wish I could go back & change it. 

What do you want to be for Halloween?  Halloween has passed but next year I’m going to try to talk my girls into being the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus & my husband can be Billy.

If you have any regrets, what is the biggest one? If not, why do you have no regrets? Letting my dreams fall to the wayside for so long. Giving up on myself after high school. 

Would you ever apply to be on reality TV? Why? I have been telling my best friend for years we need a reality TV show or vlog. You wouldn’t believe some of the shit that happens to us/our families.

What is the best thing that has ever happened to you? Meeting my husband, he literally saved my life. I was in a really dark place when I met him & I don’t know where I would be without him or if I would even be alive. 

Do you have a hard time letting things go? Eh my husband hates this about me but no matter how bad you treat me I’m always ready to give you another chance. I believe the best in everyone & I’m always getting hurt because of it. 

What have you accomplished in life that has made you the most happy?  I graduated, I’m the first in my family to do that. I survived my horrendous childhood. I had two beautiful children. I am married to the most amazing man. I am going back to school for a degree in a field that I have dreamed about since I was 7.  Have you ever struggled with your weight? Right now. In high school I was 125lbs at my heaviest. I now weigh 151lbs, I’ve also had two kids & I no longer do ballet. I am struggling with body image issues because of my weight but I’m trying to get on track with losing it. 

Do you like to stay in your pajamas all day long? I mean if I don’t have anything I need to do then yeah I’ll stay in my PJs all day but I try to get dressed. 

In high school did you have a lot of friends? Do you still keep in touch? I had quite a few friends. There was a core group but I still keep in touch with quite a number of my friends. My best friend has been my best friend since September 2004 so like 16 years?

Do you really care about such issues as abortion, religion, and global warming?  Yes because they are inherently serious issues.

Who is the biggest womanizer you know? Hmmm, that’s a tough question because I know quite a few.

Would you ever have a threesome? I’ve had one before but I don’t think I’d ever do it with my husband because well I don’t share. Who is the most attractive person you know? I’m married but I definitely would leave my husband in a heartbeat for Idris Elba, sorry not sorry. 

When did you last feel the most free? Um, I don’t know. Probably the last time I went surfing, forever ago. Is there anyone who likes (or liked) you and had a really hard time getting over you? I don’t know? I know there’s a few people that liked me, but I got married.

I don’t think any fear is weird, no matter what I think about it, it’s very real to that person. My fear that everyone would think is weird is grasshoppers/crickets. I hate them & will not even be in the same room as them. Like I won’t even go into the garage if there’s one in there, I also refuse to mow my lawn because they’re out there & they jump on me.

How did you find Tumblr? I have had a blog on just about every blogging platform that was cool while I was in high school. 

What of the 8 wonders of the world do you find the most fascinating, if any? Hmmm, I’m not sure. I think everything about the world is interesting, there’s so many things that are unexplained & they fascinate me.

I don’t really have a favorite though, I like them all for the most part, it’s my favorite genre of movie.

What has been the most traumatic experience of your life? Does it still bother you? My boyfriend was killed by his father. They were fighting over me, my boyfriend wanted to come see me, as I was in a different state. His dad pushed him & he tripped over something & fell out the picture window on the second story, he died from his injuries. I would say it bothers me, for the longest time I was sure we were going to get married, we had planned our whole lives together & then it was ripped away from me in an instant, I didn’t even find out he died until almost a week later.

REVIEWING THE CHARTS: 29th April 2018

30/4, Cactus Drive, charts are live! Charts are live!

Top 10

“One Kiss” by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa is somehow still holding steady at #1, without a video. I mean, sure, it has a lyric video, but I refuse to believe this is really succeeding this much. I haven’t heard this song more than once or twice on the radio. I don’t think this’ll last.

We have our first massive top 10 debut, with “No Tears Left to Cry” by Ariana Grande. I’ll say for now that I’m happy this has a shot at the top, but I’ll elaborate later on.

“Nice for What” by Drake appears to have stumbled a spot from last week, now at number-three, and, sadly, I don’t really think this can rebound. There’s something about this song that really isn’t very “hit song” to me.

Nono Nono by No Nono featuring No No fortunately has backed down a space to number-four.

And so as “Paradise” by George Ezra, now down to number-five. Who really cares about that song though?

“Lullaby” by Sigala featuring Paloma Faith somehow moves up a space to number-six, off of... nothing, really. I suppose people gravitate to mediocrity.

Am I happy that “Answerphone” by Banx & Ranx and Ella Eyre featuring Yxng Bane has jumped a whopping 11 spaces to number-seven? No. No, I’m not. Am I mad? Nah, not really. Do I care? See above.

Our second massive debut here is “2002” by Anne-Marie, breaching the top 40 at number-eight. Sadly, this is probably one of the worst songs on her album, Speak Your Mind, but we’ll see how this goes with the album boost next week.

“The Middle” by Zedd and Grey featuring Maren Morris continues to make moves, three positions up to number-nine this week.

We also have the one-spot dip for “Psycho” by Post Malone featuring Ty Dolla $ign to number-ten, which will quickly rebound next week because of the album Beerbongs & Bentleys finally being released.

Climbers

Two of last week’s debuts, “German” by EO and “Like I Do” by David Guetta, Martin Garrix and Brooks, have scaled up six and eight spots to #24 and #32 respectively. One’s trash, one’s treasure, but that’s the only notable thing about the climbers here. There’s only two notable jumps outside of the top 10, so let’s get straight to the falls.

Fallers

There was a damn massacre here with so many undeserving songs being destroyed this week. But I suppose for every “These Days” by Rudimental featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen falling 10 spaces to #15, we have a “Let Me” by ZAYN dropping 17 spaces to #37 after the debut. Other falls include “God’s Plan” by Drake down six to #23, “Friends” by Marshmello and Anne-Marie and “Feel it Still” by Portugal. The Man both down 19 to #25 and #27 respectively (yikes!), as well as “Look Alive” by BlocBoy JB featuring Drake (bad week, huh?) down eight to #28, “Be Careful” by Cardi B down 11 to #35, “IDGAF” by Dua Lipa down 10 to #38 and “SAD!” by XXXSPECIALLYTERRIBLEPERSON down 10 to #39, hopefully dropping out next week. The song’s tolerable, but less X on the charts, the better, and I think everyone can agree with that.

Dropouts

As I said, absolute massacre: “What I Wanna” by MoStack from #34, “Sanctify” by Years & Years from #35, “All the Stars” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA from #39 and “Breathe” by Jax Jones featuring Ina Wroldsen from #27.

Nicki Minaj had a particularly bad week: “Chun-Li” from #26 and “Barbie Tingz” from #31.

The Greatest Showman as well, with “A Million Dreams” and “Never Enough” from #33 and #36.

Also, we have a very big milestone here for the UK charts – for the first time in ever, we have NO ED SHEERAN IN THE TOP 40! “Perfect” dropped out from #38, meaning Ginger Satan is no way near the charts... for this week only, I imagine, since the music video for “Happier” just dropped, to my dismay. Let’s enjoy it while we can, I suppose. There’s something else we’ll have to enjoy for this one week, but we’ll get to that in a bit... well, actually, right now.

Returning Entries

“I See You Shining” by Nines returned at #40. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s discuss the tragic death of pioneering and innovative DJ and talented EDM producer Avicii, who committed suicide at the very young age of 28. My heart goes out to his family, friends and fans, but I’ve grieved on Twitter, so right now, we just need to talk about the songs that returned this week, excluding “Hey Brother” because it barely missed the top 40.

#36 – “Levels” and #26 – “Wake Me Up!” (featuring Aloe Blacc) by Avicii

Out of these, “Levels” is definitely my favourite for its beautifully bright synth tones accompanied by neat handclaps and the burst of energy you come to expect from good EDM drops. It’s a simply fun, bouncy dance track that has been in rotation ever since it became big, known for its almost eerie vocal sample of Etta Jones that was later wasted by Flo Rida in his own hit song. No matter how somewhat creepy the isolated vocal sample can feel, the lyrics about getting a good feeling really put you in the mood for a head-bopping party jam. Then all the random synth tones appear and it gets somewhat all-over-the-place, and it’s just fantastic. Despite my preference, I still have to give props to “Wake Me Up!” here, with its vocals from soul singer Aloe Blacc and guitar from Mike Einziger of Incubus of all people, for defining Avicii’s signature folktronica sound, with that quickly-drowned out pumping guitar melody and Blacc’s great crooning over what seems like a simple folk ballad until the handclaps come in and you realise that this isn’t your typical folk song. No, this is an Avicii song, with the iconic synth line in the drop and a pulsing beat that shows how even though Avicii’s music was new, interesting, unique and different, he could still drop the bass as well as a bigger EDM producer like Calvin Harris, David Guetta or Tiesto. Both songs are some of the best modern electronica I’ve heard, and I’m pleased that Avicii’s legacy will live on via his catalogue of greatness. Rest in peace, Tim Bergling.

NEW ARRIVALS

#34 – “Familiar” – Liam Payne featuring J Balvin

As much as I can’t really be bothered with the 1D boys anymore, I’m glad this charted because otherwise, despite it being a busy week, this would have been pretty boring for me. I’ve heard all of these songs before, and I don’t really care for many of them either, so I apologise if my reviews seem rushed. I’ll admit to being a broken record, especially when half of these debuts are from J. Cole, or kiLL Edward or whatever he’s going by these days. Anyway, that doesn’t matter – what do I think of Liam’s follow-up single?

I think it’s hilariously bad. There’s this autotuned mumbling from J Balvin trading vocals with Liam Payne with his Godawfully weak falsetto over this non-descript Latin pop beat. There’s one absolutely awful moment here – J Balvin, drowned in autotune, says “brain” in harmony with Liam’s less-effected voice, so it creates an unlistenable millisecond. Then J Balvin’s rap verse, because of course, where he once again mentions “Mi Gente”, his last hit. A bit desperate there, JB? This is unbearable if you want to take it seriously, but if you don’t, this is hilariously incompetent. I’d recommend this if you want a good laugh.

#30 – “Photograph” – J. Cole

J Cole went platinum with no features, and he’ll probably do it again looking at his album’s numbers... and look, the dude’s a talented MC, he’s great at the mic, and brings some great delivery and flow to the table, but most of the time, his music, especially the production, is really boring. Like, REALLY boring. I gave his most recent album a 3/10 simply because it made me not want to hear J Cole or his pitch-shifted alter-ego speak another damn word again. Is this any different?

Nope! Probably even worse, honestly, as we start with a skittering flat trap beat under J Cole’s “singing” before he starts admittedly decently rapping, despite repeating a lot of his lines – seriously, his first verse is four bars then two shorter verses that are repeated for no reason – and going somewhat off-topic (if there ever was a topic), with a delivery that seems way too infused for such a downbeat instrumental. Even Cole’s second verse is full of rhyming words with themselves and line repetition, before he repeats the second part of his first verse... Jesus, these are the worst bars I’ve heard from this guy probably ever. For someone who is big for being lyrical, this is lazy, uninteresting and most importantly, trash! Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” is so much better, and yes, I’m endorsing Ed again and I hate myself for it.

#28 – “ATM” – J. Cole

If Cole can copy-paste verses (and songs for that matter...), does that mean I can copy-paste reviews?

After a bunch of spoken vocals from the woman who appears a lot on this album, we have what is assumingly a sample nasally singing for half a minute, until we get to J. Cole once again repeating himself as if he were a broken Tickle-Me-Elmo, with that monotonous “count it up, count it up, count it up, count it” hook over rattling hi-hats and other trap-rap clichés, and subtly autotuned verses, until there’s a complete silence... and the beat doesn’t even change. That’s not how a beat switch either works or is supposed to impress, Cole. Typically, there’s a transition and you know, an actual production alteration. Come on, learn from Kendrick and get James Blake on the phone. I think you need him. Oh, yeah, after this beat “switch”, he also discusses abortion right before saying his Rolex is scorching, because consistency in the verse’s topics don’t exist, apparently. Once again, I get the appeal, but I don’t want to bore myself anymore. Thankfully, J. Cole debuted another track which I actually quite like.

#17 – “KOD” – J. Cole

This is the title track from his latest album, which is fitting because it encompasses what J. Cole does throughout the album – repeat himself over trap beats. However, this time, Cole repeats himself over trap beats incredibly well, with straightforward spitting and a really catchy hook that ends up just being a slightly flawed trap banger. The second verse repeating itself a lot was a bit unnecessary, and the brief racist slur was... questionable, but he definitely had good intentions there, I think. No matter what he’s doing, Cole succeeded once in this album to make a song that bumps without being boring or even having deeper subject matter. It’s just a great, fun song – the only one we’re getting from Cole this week. Oh, yeah, and the female vocals come back on the outro with kiLL Edward for some kind of weird interlude thing on the album. I’m not complaining, just questioning.

#8 – “2002” – Anne-Marie

Boring pop singer with Caribbean inflections shoehorns references from some of the 1990s’ and 2000s’ biggest pop songs (none of which came out in 2002, by the way) to write a somewhat cringeworthy chorus, with nothing else of note in the verses or instrumental. Do I really need to say anything else? I mean, there’s awkward guitar loops, trap hi-hats, ugly synth tones and fake handclaps as producer Steve Mac’s pathetic excuse for a beat, I suppose... but yeah, this is nothing more than a short interlude on a mediocre album, that probably should not have been released as a single. Like the album, the only real comment I have on this is that it exists, and my life would not change if it didn’t.

#2 – “No Tears Left to Cry” – Ariana Grande

The lyrics here are pretty vague, and I’m not really a fan of the initial effects on her voice, but yeah, this picks up with a funky synth melody and a fast seemingly ‘90s dance-influenced drum pattern, while Grande doesn’t bother enunciating yet somehow still performs fantastically, even on the hook which has much less variation from the verses for my taste, yet is still decent, and the choruses after the first definitely try to improve that with some extra synth noise, but for now, I think I’ll continue to like this for pretty much no reason other than how great the instrumental is on the verse and how much I love Grande’s vocal performance here. I’m indifferent otherwise, and I have no real comment on this. It’s still good, though, I’m not sure entirely what to think of it or its longevity. Sorry for this review being a bit scattered but I’m kind of conflicted here. In fact, I’m sort of confused. Let’s just say that this is decent and move on before I get an aneurysm.

Conclusion

I really want to give Avicii Best of the Week and Honourable Mention, but that’s not how this show works so I guess it goes to J. Cole for “KOD”, with Honourable Mention going to Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry”. The Dishonourable Mention is probably “Familiar” by Liam Payne and J Balvin, which is entertaining in its lack of quality enough for me to rank it above the Worst of the Week, “Photograph” by J. Cole. What do I predict? Hopefully Janelle Monáe, probably Post Malone. Hopefully Green Day fans can get “American Idiot” to return in time for Trump’s UK visit, probably they’ll fail miserably.
