They debuted October 2017 with their debut song, Juliette and disbanded after they wrapped up their Japan activities on October 2018. Wontak debuted solo after RAINZ and he do have solo tours

╚ In the show Taehyun placed 25th. After the show, Taehyun joined his and Sungwoon’s original group, HOTSHOT for their comeback song, Jelly.

╚ Taehyun was also a member of the first fan-made group of PD101, JBJ. They debuted October 2017 with Fantasy, they got their first win on their first comeback, My Flower. The group disbanded after seven months of promotion.

╚ After the show these two trainees of Blessing Entertainment debuted as a duo called UNLOCK. Woohyeok placed 75th and Jinwon at 66th.

╚ Aside from MXM, they also debuted in a four-member boy group, YDDP together with Starship boys. They debuted with their song, “Love It, Live It”

╚ 2/4 of BNM Boys who debuted with Wanna One. Daehwi won the 3rd place and Woojin won the 6th place

╚ Fact: Daehwi continued composing songs. Actually, some of his songs were featured in MXM’s album. Daehwi also composed a song for PRODUCE 48. Daehwi was also confirmed to have produced a song for Yoon Jisung’s upcoming solo album

╚ He represented BRAVE Entertainment and was one of the most popular trainees of Produce 101 for he debuted before entering the show and was supposed to be a member of one of the biggest boy group, SEVENTEEN.

╚ He ended up getting the 18th place in the said survival show

╚ After the show, Samuel debuted solo with his song, SIXTEEN and he came back with a full-length album, Eye Candy. (Candy as the song title). Samuel also promoted in Japan with Pony Canyon assisting him for his Japanese Promotions. So far, he have 3 OSTs, 1 television series and he won 2018 New Hallyu Performance Award in Soribada.

╚ He represented Hanahreum Company and left the show to undergo a surgery for a serious injury (he was treated for three weeks) making him land on the 59th spot

╚ After the show, Taemin debuted as an actor. So far, he has 1 Drama entitled, Sunny As Well (2018) and 1 Film entitled Whisper (2018)

Park Woodam, Woo Jinyoung, Jeong Woncheol, Jo Yonggeun

╚ They represented HF Music (Happy Face Music). Woodam placed 35th, Jinyoung at 40th, Woncheol at 95th and Yonggeun at 93rd

╚ Woodam was known for his high notes and he is the brother of SISTAR member, Soyou. Jinyoung amazed the national producers with his performance of SMTM's I Am Not What You Think where his nickname "Woo Jinyoung micheotji" (Woo Jinyoung is crazy) came from.

╚ After the show, Woodam, Jinyoung and Yonggeun joined another survival show, MIX NINE. Woodam didn't made it to the cut, Yonggeun was eliminated in the 3rd round and Jinyoung actually WON the show, he was in the 1st place set to debut in YG's new group. UNFORTUNATELY, YG and other companies disagreed with the new contract YG set (As far as I know, YG changed the contract saying the winning members of MIX NINE should promote for THREE YEARS which is very impossible for a SURVIVAL SHOW group since they came from different entertainments). This misunderstanding made HF Music file a lawsuit against YG Entertainment (and up until now, there's no result yet). Like, guys Jinyoung BEGGED YG for another chance during MIX NINE cause he is so determined to debut. He did well during the show and got the 1st place but YG suddenly fucked up. (Sorry, I'm just mad at YG for not letting MIX NINE debut)

╚ AND here's the good news, Woodam, Jinyoung, Woncheol and Yonggeun is in a group under HF Music called HNB

╚ Jinyoung actually debuted solo!! :)

Park Sungwoo

╚ He represented HIM Entertainment and placed 37th. He was known as the oldest trainee during the show and the trainee who looks like Song Joong Ki.

╚ After the show, Sungwoo became a model and an actor. He got the Support role for "The Omniscent Viewpoint On Crushes" (2017); Main Role for "Oh! Dear Half- basement Goddesses" (2017) and another main role for "Because It's My First Time" (2018).

Kim Sangkyun

╚ He represented Hunus Entertainment and placed 26th.

╚ Before entering the show, he is a member of the boy group toppdogg where he use his stage name, A-Tom. After PD101, Sangkyun joined JBJ and promoted for 7 months. After his promotions with JBJ, Sangkyun left ToppDogg. After months, he and Kenta formed a duo named JBJ95. (THEY WILL HAVE A COMEBACK PLS SUPPORT THESE BABIES)

Kim Yeonkuk, Nam Yoonsung, Ryu Hoyeon and Choi Heesoo

My favorite Produce 101 contestants - Updated after 1st elimination

I was gonna do a TOP11 list but idk if I can handle that, so... I’ll bold the ones I NEED to be in the final group. Also, in case you’re interested, here’s my previous list. Again, I’m doing this with wikipedia to make sure I don’t miss anyone, so it’s not in rank but according to their companies.

Lee Insoo - I didn’t mention him in my previous post, but boy oh boy. I only realized after the show that he was in A6P as well (I knew Woncheol was), and I watched their mv again a couple of times since then and I’m so emo because I love this song so much and honestly I don’t understand why they disbanded ;-; but anyway yes, I love Insoo he’s so cool~ so I’m putting him on my list this time!

Noh Taehyun & Ha Seungwoon - I mentioned them last time, but I want to say that since then I have actually went and checked out HotShot and I’m just. Wow. I used to be so anti rookie groups during 2013-2014 so I completely gave up on them as soon as they debuted, even though I did listen to their debut for Moonkyu. But I really like them now, so that’s pretty much the only plus of having idols on this show!

Lee Daehwi - I just love this child so much okay he’s such a lowkey drama queen and I love his reactions and he’s so talented I love my son just ;;;;;; Also I’m digging Lim Youngmin, he’s cute.

Samuel Kim - Another son of mine <3 I don’t have much more to say about him because nothing has changed, but can we talk about how pretty he is with blond hair? (also I’m a tiny bit bitter that he didn’t get 1st place but never mind that)

Ong Seungwoo - I’m still not 100% sure about him but we’ll see. At least he’s extremely beautiful (tbh I would have voted him for #1 visual but ok) and he’s so bright and sweet, so... I’m fine with him being in the top!

Yoo Hoseung - I didn’t initially like him but in the group performances he was really good! And I love FNC artists so much (hate the company though lmfao) so I’m sure he’ll prove himself in the future!

Hong Eunki - I mean I was on the fence with him but THAT DANCE BATTLE WITH JUNG JUNG I AM LIVING I FINALLY HAVE AN OTP ON THIS SHOW AND I AM 100% EMO ABOUT IT AND I JUST WOW HE’S SO GREAT I LOVE HIM I NEED TO SEE MORE OF THOSE BALLET SKILLS NOW THANK YOU

Park Woodam - I mean. Even though I was rooting for group 2 of mansae, I can’t deny how fucking amazing he is and wow just wow. Also he really reminds me of P.O from Block B lol am I the only one or is anyone else seeing it?

Byun Hyunmin - Again, nothing much has changed since last time... His flips are awesome and I hope to see more from him ^^

Lee Woojin - Tiny precious baby, my millionth son ;-; Like I said last time, I’m still scared that his voice will change mid-promotions if he’ll get into the final group, so I kinda hope he’ll wait a few years before he debuts, but he’s still adorable and I love his relationship with Daniel so much that my heart actually melts ;;;;;

Kang Daniel & Yoon Jisung - I just. I love Jisung so much okay. And Daniel too, damn that boy is killing me, but YOON JISUNG. MY NEW GOD. I AM SO HAPPY FOR HIM FOR BEING IN THE 3RD PLACE I JUST LOVE HIM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH.

Kang Dongho, Kim Jonghyun, Hwang Minhyun, Choi Minki - Again, tbh I don’t really care who gets into the final group from Nu’est as long as someone is there. I feel like Jonghyun will be the one in the end, but I’m still rooting for Ren because he’s my bias in Nu’est ^^

Lee Gunhee - I mentioned last time that I didn’t know who I love from the rbw boys but now that I have decided I love Dongmyeong of course he will be eliminated ;-;

Takada Kenta - no matter what, I just want him to debut. My love for him is growing every single day ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Lee Gwanghyun & Jung Sewoon - my precious Starship boys ;;;;;;;;;;; Whatever happens, I just want to see them both debut this year! Starship, make it happen!

Jung Jung, Justin, Ahn Hyungseob, Lee Euiwoong - I’m not sure if I mentioned it, but Jung Jung is actually my bias from the show (especially now that Yul was eliminated). I mean it’s kinda between him and Kenta, but if he’ll end up in the group (which I hope he will), he’s 100% gonna be my bias. I just. I love him so much ;_; Justin and Hyungseob too, so so much ;; Basically I’m really hoping that eventually all 5 of them (including Seunghyuk) will debut together ^^

Alright, hopefully you enjoyed reading this :) I’ll probably only do another update post after the next elimination, unless something extremely drastic happens and I end up madly falling in love with someone else (like what happened to me today with Eunki god bless).

I know there are a lot of popular guys that I didn’t put in, but so far I just don’t feel as connected to them I guess? I’m slowly starting to like Park Jihoon and Lai Kuan Lin, and I’m on the fence with Joo Haknyeon and Bae Jinyoung, but I need to see more from them to decide. So for now, I’m leaving them out of my list.

5. Justice League or Avengers?

controversial answer here: Avengers. I mean Justice League was gr8 and I love Jaehwan’s attempt at making such a basic and easy song vocally interesting, but Sorry Sorry isn’t much of a talent-showcasing song to me. Also in terms of the line up, Euiwoong and Daehwi both have a soft spot in my heart.

There’s a lot of talks about a lot of people and how they’re underrated but I’ve only seen Insoo being talked about when its anything that has to do with Kenta or Eunki; which I don’t mind but I just wish more people see through his sns king exposing snake ass (src: his twt) and talk about how he’s never been able to really shown his rap, or that he (and sangbin) choregraphed Pop.

Unpopular opinion.

this season, despite all the scandals and other similar problems, was better quality than the first one, for example, all of the concept evaluation songs were super good. while the ones in season 1 weren’t that impressive. also, i think all of the boys’ overall relationship with each other was closer than the one of the girls in season 1.. i remember the girls had some tension (?) between them for a long time in the show, even in the later episodes, but for guys it disappeared very quickly. also this season was funnier bc of all the memes.

The Fun

The Visual Ranking, and Ghost Prank were cute to watch. It’s nice seeing the boys take a break from the stress of the competition. I love Moonbok’s non reaction to the “ghost” and Daehwi running for his life was hilarious.

I lot of my faves (everyone in my Top 11) made it, but a few didn’t. Here were the ones I was happiest about:

57. Lee Insoo

56. Hoeseung

55. Woodam - I wish he was higher though. I’m worried that he’ll be eliminated next time.

53. Kim Youngjin - He was so shocked when he stayed. I feel bad that the rest of him teammates didn’t make it though.

51. Sunghyuk - I won’t lie, I found him whiny during practice, but I understood why he was so paranoid. He was in 95th place and thought he would end up leaving. But he’s here now and I hope he continues to grow.

46. Kim Seongri

44. Lee Gwanghyun - I loved his vocals during Replay, and he ended up being in my Top 11 after that performance. He’s really low though, so I need him to rise.

36. Hong Eunki - I’m shallow and think he’s cute, especially with blond hair, so yay at him sticking around.

35. Dongsu - I love his attitude so I’m glad he stayed as well.

29. Gunhee - Also one of my favorite members from Replay Team 1.

27. Youngmin - One of my fave visuals lol. He’s also a precious leader.

26. Noh Taehyun - My talented dancer! I hope people don’t hate him too much for his editing. Yeah he came off as trying to usurp Park Woojin’s position as leader, but it seems like it came more from a position of trying to help than trying to be bossy.

23. Hyunbin - Though I felt he was lazy as hell last episode, I felt bad for him. He looked so nervous during his speech. He didn’t deserve the social media harassment. Hopefully he works harder in the next few episodes.

16. Kim Jaehwan - MY VOCALIST. It’s not the Top 11 but it’s a start! Hopefully his vocals will capture the hearts of the viewers so he can get more votes. I need him to be in the Top 11.

14. Moonbok - He keeps dropping! I like him, but not enough for him to be in the Top 11. I want him to keep developing his skills.

10. Haknyeon - I don’t like or dislike the kid, but he seems sincere so I wish him luck.

8. Kim Jonghyun - I love Jonghyun’s personality so much. I want him to stay in the Top 11 and end up being Boy.I.O.I’s leader.

7. Daehwi - I like Daehwi, and I feel bad that netizens are hating on him. He’s got major star quality and skills, so I hope he stays in the Top 11.

5. Daniel - Daniel is such a Visual King. I loved his little line to his Noona Fans.

4. Ong Sungwoo - Sungwoo is my favorite this season. He’s the total package: vocals, dance ability, visuals, charisma, humorous personality, cute smile, etc. etc. And he completely slayed as Sorry Sorry Team 2′s center! I really hope he stays in the Top 11.

3. Jisung - Oh my God. He made me cry. Jisung is definitely mood maker/center material. He’s so funny and has so many touching moments. I’m rooting for him to stay in the Top 11.

2. Samuel - Him not being #1 is a crime. Seriously. He has major talent. If he doesn’t stay in the Top 11 I will be pissed.

Produce 101 S2 Top 15

Hello! As so many others are making their lists of the trainees they will be supporting I thought it would be fun to make my own too. Since the competition hasn’t fully started yet, I’m allowing myself a top 15 and will narrow it down throughout the show. However, let’s wish all the boys good luck!

1. Park Sungwoo

Company: HIM Entertainment

Age: 30 years old

Trainee Period: 3 years 3 months

Why I Like Him: Park Sungwoo. Dear Park Sungwoo. It was before I knew any of the boys and had watched their intro videos. The minute I saw the 10 sec fan cam of Sungwoo trying to be taller for the group picture by going on his tippy toes and then getting caught and smiling bashfully, I knew. This was going to be the trainee that I will sell my soul for to have him debut. This thought was only confirmed when I watched his introduction video and saw him cutely pose like other celebrities knowing he looks dumb while doing it. I will go to the ends of the earth to have this cutie in his yellow hoodie debut.

2. Woo Jinyoung

Company: HF Music Company Entertainment

Age: 21 years old

Trainee Period: 11 months

Why I Like Him: I cannot explain how much I love Woo Jinyoung. Going purely off of visuals, his dusty rose hair and chunky braces make him so adorable. Also, his colorful outfit and red beret in his intro video (Go Watch It!) was to die for. The even better part is that underneath all this cuteness is a skilled rapper. The way he cooly starts with a nasally “No, No” made him a sure bet for my Top 11.He hasn’t been ranking very high in the support systems, so please go out and support our cute little rapping fairy!

3. Choi Junyoung

Company: STL Entertainment

Age: 22 years old

Trainee Period: 3 years 7 months

Rumored Rank: C-Class

Why I Like Him: The minute I saw him I knew I was going to like him. His quirkiness with doing BAP’s One Shot iconic dance move and following it with the mosquito dance. The way he knows he’s being extra as hell but has to be for us to remember him. Also, I’m just so captivated by his face because he looks like a who from Dr.Seuss, with the sleepy eyes and snubbed nose. He didn’t show much of his rapping, but I liked the swagger he had while doing it and would definitely support him so I can see more. And you should too! So go out and vote for Choi Junyoung!

4. Yoon Yongbin

Company: Banana Culture Entertainment

Age: 23 years old

Trainee Period: 1 year 2 months

Rumored Rank: D-Class

Why I Like Him: The minute I saw him I knew I was going to like him. I don’t even think I can describe how much I love Yoon Yongbin. The first time seeing him I was shocked at his extremely round, deep-set eyes. They instantly drew me in and made me want to know more about him. He only got more interesting as his introduction video went on with him having a cookie in his pocket and then throwing confetti all around himself. I can’t wait for the show to start so I can go crazy on the voting page for him. So let’s be great national producers and vote for Yoon Yongbin!!!

5. Choi Jaewoo

Company: RBW Entertainment

Age: 21 years old

Trainee Period: 1 year 4 months

Rumored Rank: B-Class

Why I Like Him: Personally for me, I think Choi Jaewoo is one of the most attractive trainees that I have seen. I thought it was really interesting that he made his own little dance/song to show to us. It was great how he added in the “Choose Me Please” to make the dance a little more flirty/cute. I also loved his outfit, the whole black outfit with a silver chain made it chic looking. I can’t wait for the show to start so I can start voting for him, but until then we should all vote for him on 101maboy. So go out and vote for Choi Jaewoo!

6. Seong Hyunwoo

Company: The Vibe Label Entertainment

Age: 22 years old

Trainee Period: 4 years 7 months

Rumored Rank: B-Class

Why I Like Him: Hyunwoo packed a lot into his introduction video which probably made him a lot more memorable. He referenced Goblin, showed some of his rap, and my personal favorite. Name dropped himself as many times in so many ways as he could. I immediately started laughing when he jumped in front of the camera to scream his name. And then pulled out a poster that was under his shirt (How long did he have it there?) to show his name again. Hyunwoo showed he can be very charismatic and I can’t wait to see him interacting with the other trainees once the show airs.

7. Han Minho

Company: It Entertainment

Age: 21 years old

Trainee Period: 1 year 9 months

Rumored Rank: C-Class

Why I Like Him: Honestly, he is me as a trainee. The way he weirdly enters into his introduction video (which you need to watch) is something I would do. The way he motions when his talks and the little clap for himself is just so endearingly cute. It makes me want to support him and see him do well. Now, his rap isn’t the cleanest out of the bunch but I think with some hard work and even harder support he could make it far.

P.S His red coat and purple hair just make him too cute to not vote for!

8. Im Youngmin

Company: Brand New Music Entertainment

Age: 23 years old

Trainee Period: 1 year 2 months

Rumored Rank: A-Class

Why I Like Him: I had watched all the introduction videos before they were subbed, so I could only understand bits and pieces.However, the second Youngmin pulled out the llama picture; I knew he was going to be a favorite. His cute, inviting smile really pulled me in and I loved how easy going he seemed to be. I liked how he gave off really chill, cool vibes but you can also see how cute he can be. He showed he can do a variety of things and I think that will help him gain support, so go out and vote for Im Youngmin!

9. Im Woohyuk

Company: Blessing Entertainment

Age: 24 years old

Trainee Period: 3 years 3 months

Rumored Rank: C-Class

Why I Like Him: Everything about Im Woohyuk in his introduction video made me want to vote for him. His casual, boyfriend look with ripped jeans and a comfy sweatshirt. His silver, dangling earrings that make him look sooooo cute! He had a good rap that showed he had the charisma and flow to rap. My favorite thing about him is throughout his intro video, he just had a cute smile and easy feel about him. He’s definitely going to stay in my top 11 and I will do all that I can to make sure Woohyuk makes it and you should too!!!

10. Kim Samuel

Company: Brave Entertainment

Age: 16 years old

Trainee Period: 5 years 3 months

Rumored Rank: A-Class

Why I Like Him: Usually I’m not the type of person to go for the fan favorites. I much prefer rooting for the underdog, Kim Sohye, was my number one during the first season. However, after watching Samuel’s introduction video I slowly started melting for his cute charms and melodic voice. He incorporated Whatta Man, Very Very Very, and Pick Me dance moves into his speech (extremely well btw). Everything about his speech on why we should vote for him and his stage presence just showed me how much Samuel has to offer so he had to be on my list. And he should be on yours too, so go vote for him when the time comes!

11. Kim Donghan

Company: OUI Entertainment

Age: 20 years old

Trainee Period: 1 year 6 months

Rumored Rank: B-Class

Why I Like Him: First off, he started his introduction video by rolling in with a tumble and then dancing to Call Me Baby so he definitely caught my eye from the beginning. He proves to be of the more extra trainees with smoothly putting on his sunglasses, then headphones, to end it with some hapkido tricks. Musically he didn’t show anything, but he was charismatic enough that I will watch for him when the show starts. Also, I’m a sucker for boys in small, hoop earrings.

12. Lee Insoo

Company: Independent Trainee

Age: 22 years old

Trainee Period: 2 years 8 months

Rumored Rank: B-Class

Why I Like Him: I had already known about Lee Insoo before I saw his introduction video. He had been one of my favorites on Boys24, another survival program, unfortunately, he was voted out and had to leave the show. The fact that he is still trying to debut and went on to another survival program is amazing to me. It shows that he really is passionate about his dreams and wanting to debut. On the matter of talent, I already know he can go far with being an amazing rapper (Vasco Approved). Also, he dressed up in a onesie and danced to the Pikachu Theme Song, why wouldn’t you vote for him?

13. Jeong Sihyun

Company: GNI Entertainment

Age: 27 years old

Trainee Period: 2 years 7 months

Why I Like Him: I don’t know why I always go for the older guys when it comes to my favorites but Sihyun stole my heart. On first glance, anyone can see that he’s handsome and has a charismatic feel to him. Sihyun really drew me in with him speaking Japanese and then singing a bit of Sing For You in Chinese. His introduction video was cute, but a little dull compared to the other trainees. So I hope he can show more of himself and how talented he is during the show. However, to help him along you should definitely vote for Jeong Sihyun!

14. Son Dongmyung

Company: RBW Entertainment

Age: 19 years old

Trainee Period: 2 years 1 month

Why I Like Him: I don’t even know where to start for this cutie pie. First off, he’s cute as hell with his blond hair and docile features. Next, he’s dressed up as Pikachu and has a mini Pikachu sewn onto his shoulder. His pitch to vote for him was just really cute? Also, his voice and whole personality remind so much of Doyoung from NCT, which made me love him even more. Son Dongmyung is an adorable human being that dressed up as Pikachu to get your vote, so please go vote for him.

15. Kim Yongjin

Company: Wings Entertainment

Age: 21 years old

Trainee Period: 3 years 3 months

Rumored Rank: Unknown

Why I Like Him: Yongjin really caught my eye the moment he started talking in his introduction video. His high pitched voice and cat ears instantly made me remember him throughout the 101 boys. I liked how his personality was a little more cutesy and flowy than most of the trainees. I noticed a lot of the boys have tried to appear manly or sexy but he shows that he’s different than the typical male trainee. Also, the main point is that his rapping was out of this world. The minute he starts, I can tell Yongjin has a great flow, swagger, and is most definitely in the top 5 rappers on Produce 101. He’s not getting many support votes right now (which we should change!) but I think he will get more support once the show starts because of his talent.
