Yamada Hizashi wasn’t a timid person – it wasn’t even a quirk thing, it was just his nature, and it was something he was proud of. Sure, he’d been called loud and obnoxious, and some have been less than kind about his quirk when it’s gotten out of control. His quirk control wasn’t great for a very long time, but none of what he’d been called or heard had really changed the way he carries himself, and that  includes  his extroverted nature.

 He was, however, a panicked person, when it came to matters of  interest .

 Love. 

  Whatever .

 And, because love was the one thing that made him think twice about what he says, what he does or doesn’t do, that has landed him in the exact predicament that he’s facing right now.

 Hizashi tapped his pen against his essay, the half filled pages of his stationary blurring together into a mass of lines and half-assed penmanship. He’d been staring at it for the past five minutes, when he’d given up on trying to ignore his annoying problem.

  Shouta .

 It’s been getting harder to ignore the stupid pull of something he’s recently identified as  yearning  that comes every time he thinks of his best friend. Stronger than any hurricane gale, it pulls in every thought he has until there are no more to be had. Just Shouta, and his messy hair, and the eyes he thinks are pretty despite always being so blood-shot.

 Hizashi groans, faintly feeling heat spill across his cheeks. “God, why must I be so fucked?”

It’s not like he’s even asking him out on a  date  – no, he’s not bold enough to do that in their last year  and semester of school– there’s no need for distractions like that right now, whatever outcome may or may not come from it…. no, he’s just asking to take Shouta to the Autumn festival at the park, because Shouta should do something fun and get out of his room and not explode from stress.

 The poor guy has been spending all his time studying and stressing and sleeping even  less , so of course Hizashi would want to help his friend out and get him to relax.

 Yeah, that’s what it was – one friend asking another friend out because stress is bad.

 That doesn’t change the nervous skip in his heart right now, as he sits at his desk and thinks about…

 Hizashi groans again, tipping back in his chair and hooking his foot against the back of his desk so that he’s less likely to tumble. Theoretically, at least.

 Why does it feel so  significant  right now? He’d asked Shouta to do countless things with him! He’d gotten him to agree to go to the movies a bunch of times, and to a party or two, and, most recently, he’d even been able to rope him into going to a karaoke club! He didn’t sing, they left earlier than he’d planned, but Shouta had fun!

 Hizashi narrowed his eyes at the white ceiling and the ceiling fan that whirled past his vision, playing with the very edge of the wooden panel that kept him from tumbling onto his carpet.

 This wasn’t supposed to mean anything, but somehow it did.

 It felt like a declaration, no matter how he phrased it in his head, and he doesn’t understand the logic behind it.

  Fine. Whatever! I’ll just ask, and be blunt, and do it right before I leave so there’s no room for thinking, and it’ll be okay! 

 Something like,  “Hey, Shouta, let’s go to this festival! It’ll be so much fun! PLUS, I think you’ll look cute sharing cocoa with me!”

 Hizashi’s eyes widened, his foot slipped in that one moment of lost focus, and he fell –

 “ Fuck!”

 It was a little too loud, bordering on quirk use, but he had other problems to think about beside  that .

 He rubbed the back of his head.

 “Man…”

 If he can’t even imagine it the right way… how was he supposed to  actually  ask? It would be pretty stupid to try when he knew he could act a little too carelessly and, potentially, damage the good friendship they had going on.It was probably better left un-asked.

 Unsaid, un-asked, and out of mind.

 ~

 It was most certainly not out of mind, that is clear.

 Shouta is sitting across from him, half-mast eyes scanning the copy of his English text book in a way that looked a lot more performative than informative. Their booth was tucked more toward the back of the cafe, and it would normally be a bit more secluded and quiet, but midterms brought students from the woodwork and into any coffee-scented establishment, which their happened to be.

  What great luck.

 All around them was the sound of machines grinding coffee, books being shifted around, and light conversation in between bouts of half-silences – and a heavy vale of constant movement that proved to be less than ideal for studying, despite all the students trying to do  just that .

 It was to be expected this time of year, but it was still enough to bother Shouta. He concentrated better with silence, and he happened to be struggling a lot more on English than he does on his other subjects.

 Hizashi, thankfully, understood the material enough for the both of them and then some, and already finished his homework – the papers in front of him were notes, ready to be explained the moment Shouta needed it, with hand-writing that was still pretty bad but…

 For Shouta, he’d made an effort. The result was somewhat-legible scribbles lining the papers, and when he referenced it, Shouta didn’t have to ask too many questions about,  “what is this right here?”

 “I’m not going to pass.”

 Hizashi turned his eyes to Shouta, like he hadn’t been trying to find a reason to look at him longer. He was wearing a big, thick red scarf, which his hair was somewhat tucked into. He didn’t look up, he just kept his eyes on his text book. His irises weren’t moving on the page.

 “Oh man, don’t say that! How’d you think you’re gonna pass if you don’t believe in yourself?”

 “It’s because I don’t believe in myself.”

 Hizashi grabbed his warm cocoa and took a sip, if only to busy his hands with  something . “Shouta! I don’t like this type of negativity!”

 “Well, you’ve chosen the wrong friendship then.”

 “Or, maybe, the  right one!”

 Shouta looked up, and Hizashi held his gaze. His eyes had been given a break over the past few days of written work, so the redness that often lined them was almost completely gone.

 His skin looked soft too…

 His hair, it was fluffy and cute, also..

 “Hizashi?”

 He’d been staring and not talking and he leaned back into his seat like a magnet to metal. He started laughing, holding his drink up to his face. “Well, maybe I can cheer you up! What are friends for, right? And maybe it will turn that attitude around, ya think?”

 “You’re not making any sense?”

 Hizashi hated that it was true but there’s no going back now – his mouth was ten steps ahead of him anyway, and not even  he  could stop it.

 He smiled widely at Shouta. “I mean, maybe I’m here to make sure you don’t stress yourself out so much! You always do so much but never  check  yourself, and I’m here to fix that!”

 Shouta huffed, head bobbing just a bit. Then he smirked and Hizashi had to concentrate on his breathing. “And how do you propose you’d do that?”

 Oh, it was so easy – this was the opportunity the  gods  gave him after seeing him fall on his ass just a few days before.

 Hizashi leaned forward, and set his elbows down on his notes, a hot cocoa between them. “One word.  Festival .”

 Shouta’s eyebrows quirked down just a bit, and he tilted his head to the side, his hair tilting with him. “Festival?”

 “What do ya say? The park next to my neighborhood has one this weekend, and it’s free, and there’s food, and I really wanna go!”

 Hizashi grew pink at the admission, fought against the urge to cover his mouth, but Shouta didn’t comment. 

 Then, a little surprisingly, instead of arguing or finding reasons why it wasn’t logical to take time away from studies so close to exams, he gave him a smile.

 A small, intentional,  Shouta  smile. “Sure.”

 Hizashi tried to not sound over-enthused – just nodded his head and almost squeezed his cup too hard. “Yes! I finally got you to agree to do something!”

 “You always get me to do things.”

 “Yes, and I did it again!”

 Shouta rolled his eyes, and turned his attention back down to the English he’d never really understand.

 ~

 Hizashi was certain he looked fine. He wasn’t sure if it was  great  , but it was probably fine, and  whatever.

 Beside, had many other things to worry about, that were a lot more important than whether or not his shirt matched his shoes. Like, for one, how he still couldn’t quite shake the feeling of  significance .

 It was back, that nagging intrusion into his thoughts that insisted that something was supposed to be different this time. As he looked over his outfit in his body mirror, pulling over his heavy, long jacket, he had to remind himself that there was nothing different about today. Even if he really, in his heart,  wanted  there to be something different. 

 Huh.

 So maybe the difference was the  amount of yearning – Hizashi sighed, thinking about his feelings last year and comparing them to now. 

 He huffed, a huge sigh finally making itself known.

 Yeah, the feelings he had now were bigger and grander than they’d been last year and they threatened to take over his life if he let them…

 Hizashi sighed, rubbed his hands over his face, and pushed his hair back only to reveal his pink, flustered expression to its fullest.

 “Sweet lord, have mercy on me! I am an idiot with a crush!”

 He collapsed onto his bed and waited out the last of the thirty minutes before Shouta was going to arrive at his door.

 Shouta knocked, and Hizashi was already ready – his heart doing flips like he’d never experienced, but oddly enough, it didn’t feel bad. It felt exciting, and loving, and when he opened the door to the crisp autumn air, it felt like  home .

  Stop that!

 Shouta, for all his questionable outfits, looked  nice . And he always looked nice, but now he was wearing black boots, and brown khakis that somehow sort of matched Hizashi’s own, and a black tee underneath a black jacket.

 He never went anywhere in the cold without a scarf, either, and today was no exception. A red variety  was ceremoniously draped around his neck, loose enough to not be covering his face.

 Hizashi tried not to beam, but felt the shape his eyes took at the other and knew it wasn’t working. “Ready?!” He asked, a little too loud.

 “Yes… you said it was close, right? At the park?”

 Hizashi nodded, stepping out and slipping his hand into a pocket to make sure he had his keys and wallet. Confirming quickly, he shut the door behind him, again, with a little too much enthusiasm.

 He was  buzzing . Some type of energy that he normally had built up in him, that he normally kept pretty good reins on, was taking over –

 He was so excited, but, even more – he was just  happy .

 He looked to Shouta, and smiled, and then led the way down his steps and onto the quiet street. The sky was clear, save for some cloud further down on the horizon. The trees were starting to make themselves barren, and the smell of wood burning fires started to break out as soon as the sun hit its peak.

 The neighborhood, secluded and at peace, was quiet, and Shouta walked beside him in comfort.

 Hizashi never struggled to say anything, and now is no different – except it is, when he thinks he’ll say something dumb like  “hey i like you so much, you make my world right, also I love you. ”

 He can’t say that. 

 But he really,  really wants to.

 He’s wanted to for years, and he’s almost said it more than once, and now he’s let the silence build around them…

 Shouta often takes mercy on him, and so he did it again this time. Their pace was slow and there was a little bit of space between them, and he sighs. “This is really nice.”

 Hizashi smiles, keeps his eyes on the road as it winds forward. “I’m glad you think so! We’ve stressed so much, it’s a good weekend getaway, don’t you think?”

 Shouta laughs – it’s more of a chuckle, but it’s a laugh where Shouta is concerned. “Yeah, you’re right. I needed this, a lot, I think…”

 They reach the corner, looking for cars that weren’t coming. The crest of trees a few blocks ahead could be seen above rooftops, and that’s where Hizashi fixes his gaze. “Me too,” he says softly, and leaves it at that because he’s always on the verge of  too  many words.

 “You seem really… energized.”

 Hizashi fumbles with his hands, pretending to warm them up and not like he’s nervous. “When am I not!”

 Shouta hums, and it’s so deep and close that it makes Hizashi wish he could just…

 But then Shouta reaches out, and grabs at the hands Hizashi is cradling in front of him, blunt and to the point. He takes Hizashi’s left hand and slots their fingers together in his right, and Hizashi knows he can feel the clamminess…

 He looks back, sputtering, his heart erratic, “Shou – wha– I’m –”

  Does he know this is messing with me?

 And Shouta, in that calm, stupid way he always carries himself, smiles. “Maybe that’s what I’m here for.”

 He squeezes their hands, and Hizashi must look confused because Shouta laughs.

 “You always try to bring me up, so I think I can help bring you calm… You seem nervous, so,” he looked at their hands, swung them just a bit for emphasis. “Calm.”

 Hizashi feels every bit of himself crumble, falls away like a cliff against a storm, and smiles because it’s all he can do. He blushes and he can feel how it spreads, and he doesn’t say anything because every sentence ends in  I love you .

 ~

 The festival was a pleasant and home-y affair, and after they’d gotten there, they’d learned that it was quite bigger than either of them anticipated. Though it was still a neighborhood one, hosted by the local families and park itself, it was still filled to every corner.

 They’d gotten there during the peak of the sun, but it quickly descended as they wove in and out of the scattered foot traffic. The air was crisper where the lake sat in the center of the park, and the trees casted half shadows around the food and merchant vendors.

 They were walking around for less than an hour before the lanterns and torches were starting to light around them.

 Shouta still held Hizashi’s hand, and once he’d accepted the lovely fact, he’d loosened up enough to feel like his mouth wasn’t going to get him into trouble.

 “Wow! Shou! Look!” He pointed out, across the deep blue lake, to the hovering lights that surrounded it. 

 Shouta hummed warmly. “It looks very nice.”

 Hizashi was still smiling, still enamored by the lights as they floated out across his vision – the way the cool air from the dipping sun brushed against his skin and somehow made all the warmth in him  that  much warmer.

 He quickly cast his eyes down to Shouta, and found him looking at him.

 Hizashi’s ears burned and he looked away really fast, heart thumping deep in the cage of his chest.

  Oh don’t you dare say it. Don’t you DARE.

 “Um…” He said softly, intentionally because otherwise his quirk might get the best of him – he didn’t know if he was embarrassed by his enthusiasm, or by the way Shouta was watching him, but it all went away when Shouta tugged them along the side of the lake.

 It’s a few more moments before Hizashi gathers up the right words to say – the ones that aren’t gushy and filled with emotions he’s certain Shouta wouldn’t reflect. 

 “So!” He starts, looking around now that they were near the cluster of food stands. The air was filled with burning wood, meat, sauce, alive with the sound of simmering and laughter. “Want food? My treat! We can’t walk away without trying everything at  least once!”

 “I didn’t know you were rich enough to do that.”

 Hizashi chuckled. “I’m serious, though. Whatever you want!”

 Hizashi ignored the eyes tilted his way, right before leading off to Hizashi’s right. Hizashi turns around enough to look at the little stand and it’s cloth menu.

 It was a takoyaki shop, with different bao, and there was no line. 

 Hizashi smiled, and it was his turn to tug Shouta forward. He couldn’t really  look  at him, not just yet any way, but he could hear the light lilt in his voice when he ordered from the kind eyed older man at the register. Hizashi made his order quickly, and paid, and they walked away with various stacks of food.

 It wasn’t even a question where they’d go, and they found a spot under a tree to sit with their food. 

 The grass was cut, and the little hill they sat on overlooked a great deal of the sprawling festival that surrounded them. Up here, the voices that surrounded them, the chatter, the laughter that Hizashi was not interested in, was duller – muted, and when Shouta hummed in hungry appreciation at his bao, it made his heart ache all the more.

 He snuck a look to his right, graced by the mercy of Shouta closing his eyes. He’d just taken a bite, had unravelled most of his scarf to do so, and was now enjoying it for all it’s worth.

 Hizashi’s eyes softened at the sight.

  God.

 And Shouta opened his eyes, in his direction like he just knew.

 Hizashi looked down and took his bao. “This looks good! I should eat like this more.”

 “You should take me to more festivals, too.”

 Hizashi choked a bit – he recovered fast, and cast a glance toward Shouta. “Sure thing!”

  This feeling... 

 Maybe this is what he had been feeling – the lead up to whatever moment this was. The way Shouta really took the time to look at him, not through him. Like he was paying attention.

 Maybe…

 Hizashi held his oversized bao in both hands and looked forward. It suddenly didn’t feel like such a bad idea to speak. To say whatever it was that he was going to say, because for Shouta, it would always be okay…

 Didn’t make him feel any more at ease, not with the stupid thought in his head that maybe he was misreading whatever today was. Who knows, maybe Shouta always paid attention to him like this? And sure, the hands thing… that was new, but maybe Shouta just really likes holding hands but he needs to be comfortable with the person, and now after three years he’s  finally comfortable with Hizashi?

  If you’re gonna say something…

 “Hey,” he started. 

  Say it now.

 “I’m having a really good time.”

 He doesn’t take his wide, blown-out eyes from the festival. It was dark enough that every lantern stood out like little stars, and the breeze was so nice…

 “If you want… we can, um, do this again. I’ll find another festival, but I can’t guarantee it’ll be free this time, but I’ll try! And I’ll see if I can sneak in some home made food too so we can spend more money on like, cute stuff from the merchants. I saw this plush down there, actually, and it was a  cat , so maybe –”

 No, Hizashi wasn’t a timid person – but,  still , it was probably for the best that Shouta was the first one to move. He grabbed Hizashi’s hand, urging it away from the bao so that he could hold it again. 

 He’d pulled his attention to the forefront, and his eyes to finally meet his, and he realized that Shouta had moved so much closer…

 The dark of his eyes was so close, and he was  smiling …

 “You talk a lot when you’re nervous.”

 There wasn’t a way to hide the flush, so Hizashi looked down, feeling too open. “I’m sorry…”

 He couldn’t see his eyes, but he could see his smile. “I like it, though.”

 “What about if I say I like you...  Will you still like it?”

  Please…!

 Shouta didn’t leave him any time to doubt.

 “It makes it a lot easier… for me to say I like you, too… yeah, I’d like it…”

 Hizashi’s entire body was fireworks – explosions and exclamations and that same buzzing energy that gripped him every time he thought of Shouta. He grinned, and looked up to see Shouta was just as embarrassed and flustered as he was.

 He’d normally have to look away, but he assumed he had permission now, and…

  God you’re so pretty…

 His eyes, his eyelashes, the way his eyes bend against his smile and how he’d never seen him smile like this before… 

 Hizashi abandoned the bao in his lap and pushed away the hair that framed his face, slowly, not sure if it was too much to hold his face – 

 “I’m – I’m sorry, can I?”

 Shouta nodded. “And you can kiss me too, in case you weren’t sure…”

 That was all the reason he needed.

 He’d had so many reasons, so many countless reasons he  loved him...

 He cupped his jaw, still acutely aware of the way Shouta was still holding on to his hand in the grass – 

 It was cold, that was true, but right now he was warm with nerves and excitement and  love , and he leaned in –

 His breath, so warm –

 His lips, so soft –

 And neither of them were particularly experienced or daring, so after a few seconds when he finally parted their lips just a bit, they pulled away, just enough to speak.

 “Mmm, you taste like bao,” he said, and then wished someone was there in his brain to stop whatever dumb shit was trying to get out.

 Shouta just laughed. “So do you.”

 The rest of their night was spent on that hill, kissing and talking and, eventually, finishing their food. When they finally left, Hizashi found that plush cat at the vendor near the entrance of the park and gave it to Shouta. Shouta blushed, and Hizashi glowed with comfortable warmth, glad that he can now get cute things for his boyfriend.

Y'all need to STOP (important! pls read)

This is literally getting out of hand and im tired of seeing all those fans trying to kick Jongdae out of the group for literally NOTHING. These past few days i would read the MOST stupid, delusional things as to why they want him to leave the group.....

A kfans' fan account posted a text the other day to "justify" their disappointment and specifically stating that "they are not mad at him" for getting married or having a girlfriend (yeah sure hun) but for the fact that these news are shadowing other's members achievements and that he is giving the group a fatherly image, which apparently is a bad thing for them.

There were also other "fans" complaining that they felt betrayed by those actions of his bc they have spent money on them. Specifically there was a "fan" generally saying that he should be kicked out of the group, then another one replied "he didn't do anything wrong lol" in the end the first one replied saying "oh shut up, you didn't spent 40.000 won on them" (40.000 won = 31,05€) FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THIS IS, IN EUROPE THIS IS LITERALLY THE PRICE OF A SINGLE ALBUM!!....

In an app called LYSN many of those "fans" would be demanding from Chen to leave the group and specifically even made a photo edit about it (which I'm not going to show you). Also as you might know, hateful hashtags like "no condom" , "no sex" etc. would be trending for several days mainly from femilist fans accusing him for getting his girlfriend pregnant before marriage....

ok HOLD UP SWEETHEART, FIRST OF ALL THIS IS A SUBJECT THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE YOU!!! THEY WERE GOING TO GET MARRIED ANYWAYS, THERE ARE LITERALLY PHOTOS OF HIM FROM LAST YEAR SHOPPING A RING FOR HER!! BUT BESIDES THAT, WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING HIM WHEN THEY ARE BOTH HAPPY ABOUT IT. HIS GIRLFRIEND AND NOW FIANCE IS HAPPY, JONGDAE IS HAPPY, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?? Several fans would create petitions in order to make him leave the group... It's been said that there is/was (idek if it still exists) even one FOR A DEATH PENALTY....YES Y'ALL READ IT DAMN RIGHT!! A DEATH PENALTY! AGAIN FOR WHAT??? Living his life? Finding someone that makes him happy? Creating a family?........

Now some of those "fans" are planning to make a protest outside of the SM building on the 19th, if they don't receive a letter that Chen is leaving the group....they even have gotten permission from the police......................

Once you all got home, the first thing you did was slip into your room and call your brother. The phone rang five times before cutting to voicemail. The immediate pain you felt in your chest was like your heart stopped, irrational panic seeping into your veins. Your hands were already shaking badly enough that it was hard to click on his contact again, but you managed to hit it and raised the phone up to your ear again. This time, it only rang twice before going to voicemail, like someone had hit the 'decline call' button. You opened up the messages instead. Call me. It's important. You sent. Almost immediately the check-marks turned into a little eye, meaning your message had been seen.  At work rn. He sent back. Call u on break. You had never let out a bigger sigh of relief in your life. You couldn't explain it- you knew that your had killed Hyojin for a fact, and you can't order a hit on someone when you're dead. But even dead, Hyojin still had followers, and EXO could only control them so much this early on. Someone was bound to be overly dedicated, loyal to a fault even, and try to complete Hyojin's goals. Even still, the more paranoid side of you could only consider the possibility of him being taken and the kidnappers having control of his phone, trying to keep him hidden for a while longer until they had a solid plan. You knew how it would go- you had been the kidnapped before, and been the kidnapper.  You wanted to go out and see him, but you knew that showing up at his work wouldn't go over well. He really was a hard worker, and he liked to do his best in hopes of getting higher pay. He had always insisted on helping out with the finances, saying he didn't want to rely on his big sister for too long. Besides, he would ask you where you had been lately, and that was a conversation you weren't ready for. He didn't take well to having promises broken. He was a lot like you in many ways, sometimes too much so. It was hard for him to trust, and even you, his own sister, had to fight desperately just to come back into his life. The one condition that your brother had was that you stay out of the dark. No gangs, no fights, no illegality as long as you were around him. You had been doing so well, too, but look where you wound up. It's almost like you were supposed to have this kind of life- running constantly, hiding, fighting for your life, stealing and killing others. You were supposed to be alone. However, just because you saw him, doesn't mean you have to see him- or that he had to see you. Maybe if you were to just pass by, verify yourself that he was safe and really at work, it would help put you at ease. You had some shopping to do anyway, so what was the harm in taking a short detour just to peep in and make sure? When you came back, you might finally be able to get some sleep.

But there was another problem. You had no idea how you were going to be able to get out of the base. It wasn't like Suho was going to trust you all of a sudden just because you killed Hyojin. That had been personal, anyway. So how were you going to get out? You could try to sneak out; this was just the main base for the members, after all. None of the lackeys were here, so if you were careful, maybe. Or you could ask someone for help, but the thought of it made your skin crawl. There was only one person who knew about your brother here, and that was Baekhyun, who you had been desperately trying to avoid. Ever since the other night it was like a barrier had broken between you and Baekhyun, but it didn't necessarily feel bad. It just felt... awkward. And you didn't do well with awkward. 

Then again, he really is the only one who would be willing to help you. He would bust your balls over it for sure, and probably demand a favor in return, but at this point you were feeling so itchy and antsy that you would do anything to go see your brother. So you grabbed your jacket from off of the bed and shut your door quietly behind you, stepping carefully into the long hallway. You knew almost everybody's room- like D.O.'s was right across from yours, on the right of your room was Chanyeol, and across from him was Chen. Baekhyun's room was on the other side of the hallway, four doors from your own. Naturally, it was locked, but you just picked it with a bobby pin and made your way over to his bed where he was sound asleep.

"Baekhyun," you hissed, reaching out to shake his shoulder. "Baekhyun, wake up."

He rolled over and groaned, eyes heavy with sleep as he tried to force them open. His eyes narrowed again when they focused on you, before he yelled and scrambled backwards. "Jesus Christ, what the fuck are you-"

You slammed your hand over his mouth as quickly as you could. "Shut the fuck up!" You whispered aggressively. "Be quiet, I need your help."

He rolled his eyes and slapped your hand away. "How did you get in here?"

"I picked the lock, duh." You told him bluntly, looking at him weirdly.

"What do you mean you picked the lock?" He hissed.

"What do you mean, what do I mean? I mean that I picked the fucking lock, Baek."

"How in the hell-"

"Obviously I took the bobby pin out of my hair, bent it, and stuck it in the damn lock-"

"I know how to pick a lock!"  He whispered angrily, trying to kick you off of the bed. He inhaled deeply, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. "Okay. Okay, whatever. You broke into my room because you need my help. What do you need me for?"

"I need you to take me outside the base. I'm gonna go and see my brother." You bit your lip, one hand playing with the end of your sleeve. "After everything, and the threats that Hyojin made on my brother, I- I just need to go see him. To check on him, I guess? Just to- Just to make sure...? I don't know."

He blinked at you once, then a second time. "Oh. Oh, okay, yeah, uhm-" He tried to throw the blanket off of him but because you were still on it, it got caught and you were sent tumbling down to the floor, cocooned in the comforter. You heard Baekhyun snort (obviously trying not to laugh, the shit) and his head popped over the edge of the bed to help you up. He was in pajamas- a t-shirt and some sweatpants- and before he started to speak he was heading towards his dressers. 

"So you can watch if you want, but I'm gonna get changed so we can go." His eyes flickered over to the door, an eyebrow raised slightly. He was teasing you, you knew it, and everything in you wanted to snap back at him. The only thing is- he was helping you without any obligation or order to do so. He didn't have to come with you to check on your brother, and even if you went without him, we wasn't obligated to keep it a secret from the others. But he was doing all of these things just because you asked him, and you felt that he deserved a little bit of leniency. So you slid off of the bed and hurried over to the door, opening it slightly first to see if anyone was in sight. There wasn't, so you told Baekhyun that you would wait outside his door for him. 

He was dressed a few moments later, and you had to admit (he looked good-) that it was strange to see him dressed in everyday clothing. It was just a pair of light blue jeans with holes in the knees paired with a comfy looking hoodie and some sneakers, but it was different from how you've seen him before; not that it was a bad thing, of course, even you could admit that he looked good in most of what he wore. Dressed like this, him nodding his head towards the exit and telling you, "I'm ready, we can go now." all just seemed so... docile. Then again, you could just be weird due to the years of fighting and double-fighting the men around you. You were used to much harsher things, not soft things like Baekhyun handing you a plate at breakfast or holding you while you cried or-

You could feel your cheeks flaming as you managed to think of the incident again. You knew for a fact that you had fallen asleep in his arms- you knew it. But when you woke up he wasn't there, and he had never brought it up afterwards. You would rather die than be the one to mention it first, but it was weird for him to have ammo on you and not use it. You really didn't want to think of Baekhyun as a decent person, but the more interactions you had, the more it was beginning to sink in. 

"Okay," you muttered, turning sharply and heading for the door. The subject was just so confusing for you and it was getting to a point where you weren't sure what you felt anymore. That was the scariest part. 

"Have you talked to your brother at all?" Baekhyun asked you suddenly, his voice seeming scarily loud after moments of tense silence. 

"Yeah, I texted him when we got home because I was worried. He says he's at work." You responded, loosening up a little. Your arms, which had been crossed over your chest before, swung lightly at your sides before you tucked them into your jacket pockets. 

Baekhyun visibly perked up. If he were a dog you knew his ears would be standing straight up, flicking around. "Where does he work?"

"At a cafe," you told him. "The one down the road from where the fair usually comes. Speaking of, isn't it that time of year?"

"For the fair? Yeah, it usually comes during fall." He hums. "Why, wanna go?"

Your cheeks flared red again at the thought of going to the fair with him. "No," you snapped. "You'd only make me wanna jump from the top of the Ferris wheel." Pouting, you sped up, rounding the corner first in hopes he didn't see your face. Like you said, interactions with him were beginning to be a big problem for you, and what sucked the most was that you used to be so good at hiding your emotions. But for some god awful reason you couldn't chill out around him. What was worse was that even as you walked ahead of him you could hear him laughing; you hated that it was making you smile.

"I'm serious!" He said, still laughing, as he ran up behind you. "If your brother gets off of work in time, bring him and go to the fair. I'll make myself scarce." 

You stopped suddenly- abruptly enough that Baekhyun nearly tripped over his own feet trying to stop himself. "Why are you being like this?" You hated the way it almost sounded like you were whining. 

"Being like what? Nice? Helping you out?" He scoffed. "Gee, I wonder."

"Baek, I'm being serious!" You hissed, slapping him on the arm. "Ever since we ran into each other, it was always hostile, always messing with each other, but ever since the- ever since you-" you cut yourself off, feeling the heat creeping up your neck. "Now you're nice to me and I don't know how to handle it."

Baekhyun did nothing but stare at you for a while, to the point you were starting to get uncomfortable. People were casting glances your ways (and a couple of curses as some had to navigate around you) as the two of you blocked the sidewalk. Then Baekhyun snorted, throwing his head back as he launched into raucous laughter. "You-" He tried to say, but it died out as he wheezed and gasped for breath. "Jesus, you- I'm so- what-" The more he laughed, the angrier you started to feel. You lashed out and slapped his arm again, which made him laugh even more. If you though the looks from before were bad, then what you were getting now was enough to make you wanna crawl in a hole somewhere. 

"What's that-" He stopped to chuckle again, coughing loudly to stop himself. "What's the rule about boys picking on girls?" He managed to ask semi-seriously, an eyebrow raised despite the teasing smile on his lips. 

"That the boy likes the girl he's teasing." You said smugly, thinking you've gotten the upper hand here. "Why, do you like me Baek? Got a crush?"

"Yeah, actually." 

That sobered you up real fast. The smirk that was on your lips before immediately dropped and now you were the one staring. He slapped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you close, guiding you forward. "Let's go. Your brother's cafe is just up this road right?"

"Y-Yeah." You answered, to stunned to say anything else. You didn't even think to pull away from him as you walked, and soon enough you were outside of your brothers cafe. You could see him through the window, dressed in his cute little barista's uniform; he was smiling as he talked to customers (most of who were girls, much to your chagrin) and was making drinks without paying attention. He was good at this job, and even though it was a relatively easy job once someone got used to it, you were so proud of your baby brother for how he turned out. He was mature and responsible, and you liked to think that you taught him most of that. 

Your home situation had never been good, and it was to the point that you, although young yourself, had mainly taken care of your brother. Your parents had always been fighting, your father leaving for days, sometimes weeks, at a time and your mom almost mentally checking out, doing nothing but throwing herself into work or drinking when your father wasn't around. You had never lived up to your moms expectations- you hadn't done to well in school, you weren't very social, you didn't really care for your appearance much; these were all things that mattered a lot to her, and you just turned out to be the opposite of what she wanted. You had excepted that a long time ago, but then she had started to blame your father for the way things turned out once you started middle school. It had escalated to a point where your dad had gone to visit his family in a western province for a weekend and never came home.  You had dealt with it the best you could, but the underlying guilt that everything was your fault ('why couldn't I do better' or 'why couldn't I just make more friends' were frequent thoughts of yours) was constantly there. It had never hit you harder than the moment you explained to your brother that his father wasn't coming home, that he wasn't going to be there for his birthday the following week. He had been turning eleven years old, and you don't think he had really been the same way since. That was around the time he stopped talking about himself, he became quiet and a lot more observant. It broke your heart, really.  You had been able to live with that, though. What you couldn't live with was the almost immediate replacement your mother had brought in, one who was much more impulsive and prone to violence. Things had escalated, and led to you being essentially thrown out of the house by the time you were in your last year of high school. She hadn't even let you in to take any clothes, and when you tried to sneak in the next night she had already changed all of the locks. She was committed to leaving you alone, and isolating your brother from you. That was around the time Han had found you- curled up in the corner of a bench, nestled in between the large, arching roots, hugging yourself to keep warm. You had eaten next to nothing in the last few days, and you had taken the apple he offered you without second thoughts. He had taken you in, cleaned you up, taught you to protect yourself so that no one could hurt you again. He had helped you regain contact with your brother years later, only for him to completely shun the life you were living. You kept in touch best you could, and eventually convinced him to let you help after Han was killed.  He hated the life you lived, but you wouldn't be able to hide it forever. You knew that, you really did, but part of you wished it was possible. You finally had your bay brother back in your life, and you didn't know what would happen if he left you again. He was an adult now, he could make his own decisions. But that didn't mean you had to tell him immediately.  As you got up to the door of the cafe, you noticed that Baekhyun still had his arm around your should when you saw your reflection. Your ears heated up and you hurriedly brushed his arm off your shoulder, throwing the door open quickly. There was a small chime from the bell above the door, and your brother glanced over, already starting to greet 'the customer.' "Hello!" He called brightly, almost out of instinct. "How you guys doi- [y/n]?" You grinned just as brightly as he had before rushing in. "Hi, couldn't wait for your break." He rolled his eyes but excused himself from the girls he was talking to and came to your side. He didn't acknowledge Baekhyun at all, instead wrapping his arms around you for a hug. His grip was tight- just as tight as yours on him, but he let it go much faster than you would have. He cleared his throat and fixed his shirt, finally glancing at Baekhyun. "You are?"He asked with a raised eyebrow. You laughed to yourself- your baby brother (you insisted on calling him baby brother even thought he was already inches taller than you) was acting a tad protective, and it only made you think of him as cuter. "Down boy," You snickered, reaching up to pinch your brothers cheek affectionately. "This is Baekhyun. Baekhyun, this is my brother, Tae-soo." "Just Tae." Your brother cut in coolly, before redirecting the conversation to you. "What's up?" "I needed to see you. What time do you get off, because we... we have a lot to talk about." He glanced at the clock and pursed his lips, a habit he had for when he was thinking. He cracked his knuckles on his right hand before answering slowly. "I've worked a double this week already, and we're kinda slow right now, so I can probably get off within the next twenty minutes or so if I ask. We going to my apartment?" You glanced over at Baekhyun, obviously hesitating, but he simply nodded encouragingly. "Actually, can we...." You swallowed thickly. "Can we stop at the carnival for a little bit? We haven't been to one for a really long time." You trailed of nervously at the end, because yes, it would be really fun for you, and you would probably cherish the memories of your brother smiling, wind wild from the coasters forever. But it felt like you were just avoiding the conversation that was bound to happen, like you were running away from it. To be honest, you probably were. Tae raised his eyebrow at you, huffing and shaking his head. "You can be so childish sometimes." He muttered, but the corners of his lips were twitching. "Yeah, we can go to the carnival first. Let me go tell my boss I'm getting ready to leave." He didn't wait for a response before leaving, and you could see that he was happy from the little bounce in his steps. As soon as he disappeared into the backroom, you whirled around to Baekhyun, who had remained completely silent throughout your interaction with your brother. "He said yes!" You whispered excitedly, grinning widely. 

Baekhyun smiled at you. "Yeah, I was there when he said it, stupid." He flicked your forehead after he spoke, still smiling at you. "Do you want me to hang around or disappear for a bit?"

"Stay." You answered almost immediately, although even you realized it wasn't like you. The more you thought about it, however, you realized it was the right decision. Baekhyun had been really kind and generous towards you as of late even though you had (admittedly) been a huge pain in the ass. You were rough and mean and closed off, but he didn't seem to mind; this was more than you could say for almost everyone who had been in your life so far. Despite how much you 'hated' Baekhyun, it seemed like he was the closest thing you had to a friend in the group. You had allies now, sure, but no one would save you if you were hurt, or comfort you if you cried, or ask you how you've been, or help you if you needed it unless it benefit them in some way. Baekhyun checked off every single one of those boxes. 

"I want you to stay." You repeated, slower this time, while making eye contact with him. "But if the roller coaster has two seats, I'm not sitting with you."

He grinned brightly, looking happy enough that you found yourself smiling again. "I think I'm okay with that." He said, throwing his arm over your shoulder again. This time, you didn't push it off, even when your brother came darting out of the break room, uniform folded neatly in his arms as he hurried towards you. 

Tae's eyes flickered up to your shoulders and you stiffened, but otherwise ignored it. You opted to smile at him instead. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah," he told you, tucking his uniform into his bag. His voice was airy, like he still didn't have enough air in his lungs. From the way his shoulders shook slightly, you could tell that he had finished as fast as he could. It was nice to see him this excited- he hated seeming like a little kid but sometimes he deserved to act like one; you wanted to give him that.

"Okay, let's go then!" Baekhyun cheered, spinning quickly and heading for the door. With you under his arm still, he wound up dragging you along with him out of the door, leaving Tae-soo hurrying after you. 

"Hey," he barked angrily from behind you, making Baekhyun speed up. "Hands off my sister, doofus." You laughed and Baekhyun pouted, making a point to pull you closer. They bickered like they were brothers themselves the whole way there. 

"Don't tease him, Baekhyun-"

"Don't take his side-"

"Tae, I was literally telling him to leave you alone-"

"Yeah, Tae-soo, listen to your sis-"

"Stay out of it!"

You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose, already feeling the headache coming along. This was going to be a long walk.

Analysis about Craig and his relationship with tweek and how they complement each other

In the new episode (put it down) when they’re arguing at the end Craig says “Oh see, now you made lose control of my emotions, godd damit” and walks away upset 

And I was like “well why is he so upset?? maybe he just wanted to be the calm one in the sutiation" but then I rememered that Craig is always the one who doesn’t give a eff in lots of situations,

 I mean even on the Tweek vs Craig episode he doesn’t really care about the fight even after cartman says “Oh I guess you don’t really care about what tweek said about your mom” his answer is just “no” and closes the door

But when eric says “I guess you don’t care what tweek said about your guinea pig” he gets really mad and decides to fight him. 

And if we remember after TFBW information was out it was confirmed that Craig just cares about his guinea pig (and tweek) but why? I was wondering why he just care about his pet and why is he so distant from everything else and just don’t gives a f*ck?

Well I was thinking and realized that maybe it has to do with his family and also why he complements so perfect with tweek.

So first lets remember “Tweek vs Craig” episode, when they are having dinner Tweek’s dad asked him “how’s school today” and tweek brings up the fight, then his dad tells him the story but didn’t help so Tweek is all frustrated that they never help him so we can probably assume that they do “talk about things” but don’t really give them importance and that is so frustrating for poor little tweek 

Now on Craig’s side we see that he’s the one who actually starts the conversation and just recives an “oh” from his dad

So we can tell that his family is not the most supportive one and maybe the least communicative one in all south park (I know all parents in SP suck but they suck at different things) and maybe that’s what made him indifferent and unexpresive about his feelings. 

Remember the “ Le Petit Tourette “ episode? all episode long craig is always mentioning how happy he’ll be if he could say basically whatever he wants, wich could also mean that he has a tendency to suppress his feelings and bottles up what he wants to say or do and maybe the only way to cope with it is through flipping people off.

Now I’ll just focus in his relationship with his dad bc I think that’s really important. 

So we already know that his dad also doesn’t care much about what’s going on in his family and with his son, specially about Craig’s feelings. 

In “Tweek x Craig” we all know that he’s the one opposing the idea of his son being gay 

and by the end of the episode Craig accepts the fact that he is gay after his dad talks with him 

That’s the first time we see Thomas actually talking about what’s going on and being supportive and I really think that had a big impact on Craig bc after that he accepts being gay 

Lots of peaople may argue about they’re just acting for the sake of the town but being honest I don’t think they are acting, Craig has been mentioned as gay before by principal Victoria 

and after that episode we just see Craig beieng more open about his sexuality and relationship

And as I said before Craig doesn’t care about anything but Stripe and now Tweek. If they’re just acting why would someone who doesn’t give a shit,  care about his “fake boyfriend”?

In the episode “Put it down” we can see how much Craig cares about Tweek and his well being

But at the same time we can see how much he struggles with the topic, He tries the same thing he does with himself which is thinking things trough, being rational and don’t let his emotions take control over him and he thinks this may work for Tweek too. The Difference between Tweek and Craig is that Tweek is more emotional, he just says what he’s thinking and do what he wants and can. Maybe that’s another reason why Tweek was better at acting the break up, because Craig had a plan and didn’t let his emotions flow.

So let’s return to the fight scene.

When Craig is trying to calm Tweek, he’s just not having it, Tweek is tired of being not to overreact by his parents and the guys so of course he doesn’t want the same shit from his boyfriend, but he can’t tell him that he just wants him to listen maybe because his parents don’t do that he doesn’t even knows that’s what he needs.

So we have two kids with parents who doesn’t help them with their problems and emotions so logically they don’t know how to act in this situations.

And of course they are frustrated because they don’t want to fight nor feel alone and Craig really wants to help tweek feel better, so when Heidi gives him the answer he’s so happy bc fainally he knows what to do and it’s something that unconsciously both of them want, being listened by the one they care (in the past being their parents and now just between the two of them)  

So when Craig finally talks with Tweek his voice is different and we know he’s struggling because between the two of them he’s the least experiences in that subject but he tries and succeeds and when Tweek finally notices what his boyfriend is doing for him (something that his parents have never done before) of course he’s happy

Of course he’s happy, of course they both are smiling, they finally got what they have been yearning all this time. Tweek really means that “Thank you Craig” because finally someone stopped worring about his tics, loud noises aand twiches and actually asked him who’s he feeling and listened. So by the end he’s not twiching, he’s not worried or nervous, he’s calm and thinking about solutions for his problem.

This was the first step for them and the fact that they could solve their problems while changing their destructive habits and learning that they can be more than what their families taught them is really heartwarming and shows us how they really can help and complement each other

WELL my friends since we are here!! B) let me divulge to u ,,, the evolution of Lud. i could start with him as a child but i admittedly know way less abt that time period n also that would take ten years so that shall be for another ask

ludwig during ww2 was rlly rlly messy in the sense that he wasn’t exactly in his right mind. he’d defo been brainwashed by the propaganda n in general he wasn’t a fun guy to be around. ludwig was arrogant, impetuous, too hyperfocused on exacting revenge n showing everyone wrong. he thought he knew best which rlly caused a rift between him n his brother

his desperation in the time period just before ww2 led him to grasp at literally any promise of smth better, but instead of rising back up he fell down the slippery slope to some place even further from where he’d originally started. ludwig turned a blind eye to many things he shouldn’t have at the prospect of havin smth- anything- better for his ppl n a shot at revenge n power aka proving himself bc he was young n stupid. he ostracized those that truly cared abt him like his brother (who was never rlly for what was going on), rod, eliza, liech n im sure a few others as well, isolating himself to soak in that damn web of lies

ofc disillusionment is never pretty esp when ur the one who made the mistakes n as we’re all aware ludwig had screwed up big time. by the end of the war ludwig’s eyes were opened n his middle name was Regret his first name was Guilt n his last name was Failure. ya boi was not in a good place emotionally not to mention economically, socially n politically but yk thats another story!! 

what i would like to touch upon is where ludwig was maturity wise at this time. i’d like to remind u all that ludwig at the time of ww2 would’ve been hm 130 at most?? less than two centuries thats for sure. in nation years he was a child, he should’ve looked like a gotdamn child but nah lud grew up too fast by the start of ww2 he was already lookin 18-19. ludwig was forced to grow up fast n tho this is applicable for many nations he grew up at a time when many of his “peers” already had centuries beneath their belts. i’d argue this is esp important to note considering how most of the european nations grew up at roughly the same ish time. this explains some of why lud was so eager to stake his claim on the world. he would’ve felt a heckin lot of pressure to show he rlly was on their level

anyways ludwig was young af when he was thrown to the wolves n tho that doesn’t justify his actions it’s smth to keep in mind

so lud’s out here coming to terms w the fact that’s he’s screwed everything up n likely if it weren’t for the western aid ya boi would’ve been a goner. he was to keep it short depressed n basically ready for Death™. it was legit just alfred’s marshall plan n the fact that his ppl were still a thing that forced him to power thru. but yessu the aid sent by the west spurred on the miracle of the rhine which marked the bringing back up of germany to his feet after the war n lud eventually did recover from his depression say, around the 50s bc u gotta do what u gotta do when ur a nation

ludwig from then on out did experience better times i mean discounting a few things like the berlin wall- ah yes i should talk abt this

alright so before the division of germany ludwig had always had gilbert around for him. gilbert had raised him since the v beginning n even thru his ugly stages aka ww1 n ww2 gilbert had stuck w him. it was only after ww2 that ludwig was truly separated from his brother, forcing him grow up once n for all n shoulder the true burden of a full fledged Adult™. war guilt, recovery n repercussions ensured it. moreover, ludwig felt responsible for the abolition of prussia amongst many other things that had occurred as a result of the war so a big part in his magically doubled maturity was the desire to recompense for his wrongs n become someone his brother might someday be able to forgive

which is ridiculous considering gilbert would die for ludwig get it bc he did

so anyways!! ludwig builds himself back up into a respectable member of society n bam we get all the goodies of present day germany like the EU, etc. germany rn is one of europe’s most influential players n i would say?? a lot of this is bc ludwig wanted to make up for what he did wrong tho this eventually was coupled w a desire to become a nation his ppl could be proud of again n i’d say he’s done a fine job of it! ofc this isn’t to say he’s without his problems but ludwig today is a much more mature n agreeable man than he once was largely due to what the world forced upon him n how he decided to handle it

tldr; ludwig was Messy during ww2. he realized that was bad n felt rlly guilty esp bc of gil gettin demoted from nation status so ya boi worked rlly hard to become someone his bro n his ppl could be proud of n matured n accomplished a lot making him into the gr9 dude he is today

That evening, Wonwoo could hardly sleep.

Not because there was a lot on his mind (although he definitely was thinking at about a million thoughts per minute), but because he had been researching the glyphs decorating the NCT arrow that Jisoo had trusted him with for the night.

He had this feeling that he should know about them. At the same time, he had no idea why he should even have a clue about what they are.

He started his frenzy with random google searches: wooden symbols, arrow decorations, symbolic arrows, etc., hoping to find something useful. (He didn’t, but along the way he obtained the fact that people used arrows way too often for tattoos).

It wasn’t until his phone lit up with a notification that Wonwoo realized he’d been sitting in front of his computer, left hand death-gripping the wooden shaft of the arrow, right hand fiddling with the trackpad for at least an hour and a half. Exhausted, his eyes did an automatic scan of who the sender was.

Wonwoo now understood why the symbols had seemed so familiar. Hieroglyphs. He hadn’t delved very deep into the subject before - as he was more into science and math as opposed to ancient culture and mythology - but he had definitely stumbled upon the term more than once. He didn’t know much, but what he was aware of that it seemed to be an Ancient Egyptian form of communication. Similar to Korean, it used symbols and characters for certain sounds.

He frowned. But why would NCT deal with Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs? And did they actually take the time to learn the meaning behind the symbols, or were they completely bluffing? (Knowing NCT, they were definitely the kind of people who could pull that off).

Wonwoo sighed. Glancing over at his clock, he was greeted by the numbers 12:32 in big, red block lettering. Reflecting on the fact that he had school the next day, he decided to call it a night.

As a temporary replacement for their blown-up building, the entire school had transferred to a different school’s building. It was a newer school that had just opened a few weeks ago so no one was really there yet, letting Wonwoo’s school have plenty of space to conduct their classes.

“Has anyone heard of the Ancient Egyptian communication technique referred to as hieroglyphs?”

Up until this point in his history class, Wonwoo hadn’t really paid attention to what his teacher had been saying. But that sentence definitely caught his attention. Immediately sitting up straight, he raised his hand, and was surprised to find that only a handful of the students in the classroom were doing the same. This is an Advanced Placement class, for goodness sake. How can you have not heard about hieroglyphs?

“Interesting. Well, hieroglyphs are essentially the Ancient Egyptian language, expressed in symbols.” The teacher stuck a picture of an bird on the board. “Much like our Korean culture, each symbol represents a sound. This hieroglyph, for example, produces the sound of ‘a’.” She continued sticking up pictures. “Keep adding more hieroglyphs, and you get a word. The word I’ve spelled out is arbitrary, an English word for random.”

There were some sniggers upon hearing the definition of the chosen word. Wonwoo, on the other hand, found this all somewhat intriguing - he would have to look into the topic later on.

“There are a few hieroglyphs that are just words. You don’t need to combine smaller fragments.” Posting another picture, she said, “This is the word ankh -” She wrote this on the board in English letters for better understanding “- and it’s commonly perceived as the Ancient Egyptian symbol for life.”

Wonwoo’s eyes hyperfocused. That symbol...  wasn’t it one of the hieroglyphs decorating the arrow?

He had brought the arrow with him to school today (he wasn’t sure if that was the best idea, considering it was a pretty lethal weapon), and his hand itched to reach into his bag and pull it out. But pulling out an arrow in the middle of class was not the best choice.

The symbol for life. Wonwoo never thought that NCT could be this deep. He’d have to tell Jisoo later.

Lunch. One of Jeonghan’s favourite times of the day. Apart from sleeping, of course. Sleeping is always a priority.

Sitting at their usual table, chatting with his friend Taehyung, Jeonghan was surprised to see Wonwoo beelining for their table out of the corner of his eye. As he got closer, he realized that Wonwoo seemed to be headed for Jisoo. Not his problem then. He continued talking with Taehyung.

He didn’t think it would be anything too concerning. He certainly hoped it wasn’t. If there was something that Jeonghan hated the most, it would be having to deal with his superhero persona during school hours. He wasn’t quite sure why - it just bothered him, having to mix his secret identity with his social life while maintaining equal balance on both sides.

So it definitely irked him when he noticed Jisoo walk hurriedly out of the lunchroom with Wonwoo. What happened this time?

He glanced over at Seungcheol, who hadn’t seemed to notice. Slightly panicking now, Jeonghan nearly dropped his sandwich (Taehyung snickered at this, earning a glare from Jeonghan).  

“Can you…” Jeonghan hesitated, unsure of how to propose a proper statement for a quick departure. “Um… hold on. I need to go to the washroom.”

“Now? You just -”

“I drank a lot of water, okay? Fluids.” With a final cheesy thumbs-up, Jeonghan quickly slipped out of the cafeteria, at the same time muttering to himself, ‘Fluids? What the hell was I thinking?’

He also hadn’t planned this out very well in his head because when he finally was aware of where he was he glanced around to find no sign of Jisoo or Wonwoo. The hallway also went both ways horizontally, taking a turn in different directions at the end of the corridor, leaving Jeonghan incredibly stressed - should he turn the wrong way, he would be heading in exactly the opposite direction that his friends had gone.

He supposed he could’ve just gone to the washroom and went back into the cafeteria, but he didn’t bluff his way through Taehyung’s suspicions for nothing. Jeonghan was going to find his friends. He just had to hope that they didn’t leave for the stupidest purpose.

Or maybe…

Jeonghan shuddered. This would be one of the stupidest ideas he ever made.

As superheroes, identity was a crucial thing. To this day, Jeonghan remembered the chills that ran down his spine when Pledis was laying down the regulations: Number one - Keep your identity a secret, no matter what. (Being the rebel he was, Jeonghan had then chosen his given name as his alias - in the process, dragging Wonwoo, Mingyu and Seungkwan with him. Pledis would’ve forced them to change but by then they’d already signed the contract, so they couldn’t exactly do anything).

So at one point, they had wondered what would happen if they used their powers in everyday life - subtly, of course.

After experimentation, they discovered that their powers were only at full boost if they had their suits on. Appearing as a normal civilian, Wonwoo had estimated that their powers were only an eighth of their full capability - roughly enough to not look completely insane.

Smiling slightly to himself, Jeonghan inspected his hands before dodging into a secluded corner by the lockers in the hallway, followed by a brilliant ribbon of light hovering around his hands as he was rewarded with a device falling in his hands - an LG G5 [a/n: there are so many kpop idols promoting this I had to].

He frowned at this. His mind had imagined a rose-gold iPhone 6 and he was surprised of the result, although he assumed this was what he got for using his powers when he wasn’t supposed to. Whatever, it would do.

All he really needed to do was track the location of his friends. He could’ve done it with his own phone, but that wouldn’t be fun, would it?

In other words, Jeonghan was already planning an elaborate hidden camera in his head.

He apparently was not aware of how bad of an idea that would be.

“I didn’t mean to knock him unconscious! What did you expect me to do? First he sends us creepy messages from an unknown number and then tells us to turn around! Wonwoo and I just did what we thought was the best plan for self-defense!”

Blinking to adjust his eyes to the blinding light, Jeonghan realized that he was in the school nursery, and surrounded by half of the team.

“HE’S AWAKE! Oh thank God,” Jisoo said. Turning to Jeonghan, voice slightly guilty, he added, “I’m sorry about… um… punching you, although truthfully you pretty much asked for it considering what you did.”

Jeonghan hesitated as he tried to remember what had happened up until that point. The hidden camera… and then making Wonwoo and Jisoo turn around, only to be greeted by Jisoo’s fist. He guessed that explained the subtle ache in his nose. “Oh. Sorry about that,” he chuckled.

Wonwoo awkwardly stepped in. “Oh, and one more thing before I head to class - can you… not mention this to Seungcheol hyung? He’d kill us otherwise.”

Jeonghan raised an eyebrow. “I guess. Although if he asks about any bruises, you guys are the ones coming up with a solution.”

Jisoo scoffed. “We already had to when we brought you here.”

“Okay, bye hyung!” Wonwoo then departed with Jihoon, Soonyoung and Jun, leaving Jisoo and Jeonghan alone (Jisoo had study period currently, so he wasn’t particularly worried about going anywhere).

“Why’d you follow us anyway?” Jisoo asked. “Wonwoo and I purposely went all the way to the far boot room just in case someone would find us.”

Jeonghan shrugged. “When Wonwoo came to get you, he seemed so nervous, so I just assumed something was up. Seungcheol didn’t notice so I went - keep in mind, after rudely  dismissing Taehyung.”

Jisoo grinned. “Sorry about that, then. Wonwoo was only nervous about being discovered by anyone else but overall there’s good news - he deciphered one of the hieroglyphs on the arrow.”

Jeonghan frowned. “Hieroglyphs? Were those the symbols on the arrow?”

Jisoo nodded. “And one of them is the symbol for life. Considering how out of place it is from the other ones, Wonwoo’s guess is that it’s some kind of watermark, whereas the other hieroglyphs are some kind of message. We’re going to have to have a session just to figure out what the message is though.”

Knitting his eyebrows, Jeonghan said, “You guys have to be careful, okay? I don’t know much about Ancient Egyptian mythology, but I do know that hieroglyphs are commonly used for spells and whatnot, so just… be wary.”

Jisoo smiled. “Of course.”

On October 16, the Broker made an appointment for an Insurance Inspection Report. We also paid an Endorsement to Insurance Company via our Insurance Agent. My accident was a month after the purchase of the car, November 12. Got our police report, went to our insurance Broker, they say that our policy was cancelled October 15, TWO DAYS after we purchased our new car. Please educated answers only. Can I sue my broker? About an hour later I get a phone call from police saying I need to come back to the scene. I came back and told them the story of what happened.
