All details vary based on verse, but in general, I write Fangs exclusively after his graduation from Riverdale High. After that, I will most likely diverge from canon, since nothing gets old quicker for me in a thread than rehashing canon events as they happened. I do not acknowledge the events of Rivervale, 1950s Riverdale, baby Anthony, or the baby subplot with Midge unless specifically plotted in an AU verse.

Jughead had his arm around Toni, not for support but for support - the emotional kind, since he knew she was strong and could handle herself just fine. But his arm was there anyway. She’d been kidnapped by Penny Peabody of all people and while seemingly unharmed, he knew that emotional damage could hurt deeper than any cut.

He had gestured to the Wyte Wyrm’s overused couch, one that had sat in the corner during many meetings, probably unmoved since the Wyrm opened. It was the only place that felt like home right now. The bar stools went unnoticed, the pool table ( which could be a great seat if one needed ) was vacant and empty. Something about this place and its ghosts really haunted Jughead right now. Having Toni back was the biggest relief he could have ever asked for.

But it wasn’t him who saved her. It had been Cheryl Blossom and her arrows, and he had been thankful she practiced archery her whole life. That girl was turning out to be one hell of an ally, if not one of the Serpents herself.

“I could spend my entire life missing you,” she laughed lowly, smiling to herself. The phone was pressed up against her ear as she walked barefoot around her own apartment. Truth be told, it was the quietest moments in life that made her miss Toni the most. When everything was loud and hectic, she didn’t have time to sit and notice the vacancy around her. But in the small and slow moments as simple as going to bed, she couldn’t help but miss the woman even more.

“And I want to be the girlfriend of a very sexy and rich doctor so luckily our dreams match one another,” Cheryl was typically childish at the end of the day from her own schooling and work. Being a lawyer and studying for it was something rougher than she expected, making her enjoy the small and innocent moments like simple phone calls a lot more. “Hopefully you’ve had sleep with a well off and accomplished lawyer in your dreams otherwise we’re going to have to meet in the middle somewhere else,” she mused on, filling the glass of wine in her hand one more time as she walked towards her couch to sit on.

“You’re going to do all of that and once again make me feel as though I’m not doing enough. And personally I can’t wait to be outdone yet again,” she laughed, taking a sip of her wine as she shook her head to herself. “Got it. I’ll make sure I get awful lonely around here. Desperate always has looked way better on me over you.”
