As a frequent "ugh, fanon," person it's not that I don't like non-canonical character designs or interpretations as a concept. I love unique and creative ideas about fictional characters that are informed by canon but diverge from it in interesting ways that build upon the original vision! I almost never see this in fanon.

Hello! Thank you so much for sending in this sweet message 🥰 The last few weeks have been a whirlwind!

First I went to LA to visit some childhood friends, (always great seeing the gang and spending time with them, even if I hate LA as a city lol) then came back home and started my new job (!!!)

I am super happy with my new job and super excited about it (yay for making career moves and moving up in the world!) I'm now working with one of my best friend's husband's who is also a very good friend of mine and even though the position is a "higher level" and technically more responsibility than I had before (and also pays a lot more 💀) I think it's going to be less stressful because the company culture is a lot healthier than the toxic mess I was in before. It's also FULLY remote instead of hybrid (I'm also only working one job now!! 🎉) I used to just sit in my office and cry because I was so stressed and I don't think that's going to be the case anymore lol (and if it is at least I'll be crying from the comfort of my own home!)

Then because the company is based in Germany, our entire US team was flown out to Germany for the week, where we spent the week in meetings which were super cool and a great way to hands on learn the company and my new role and get to know my colleagues as well as partaking in a bunch of team bonding activities! Overall it was a super cool and super fun experience and I'm even more excited about the company and my role! I'm still in the "learning everything I can" and "training" portion of the job, but so far so good!!

After way too many hours of travel because I live in the western half of the United States I am home! Yesterday I was kind of a mess because I had been awake for over 24 hours by the time I got home just before midnight BUT I am back in business now and excited to return to the regularly scheduled Ally programing 😊
