Serious question.
Do you think we’ll see the parents/family of each of the guys???
Like, We’ve been TEASED with Ace’s brother, that I’m starting to think it’s just a reference to that Alice in Wonderland park character in Japan and nothing else….
Jack’s family, Ruggie’s grandma, Falena, Maleficia, Ms.Rosehearts, Just now Vil’s dad is in the picture which I am really happy but now I’m wondering about his mom, and so Deuce’s mom.
I mean, some HAVE a silhouette!! It could mean they do have a design in the making/ready to show. They could’ve shown us Falena in the Tamashina (hope I said that correctly) event, but didn’t (prolly to make Leona not so σ(▼□▼) and it’s understandable)
Anyhow, any idea/headcannon about this? Who do you want to see first?
I'm wondering if everyone might eventually get a travel event? like they've now introduced with Vil's that it doesn't have to be specifically hometowns, so that opens things up a lot! (especially if they have to figure out how to do three separate Coral Sea visits) (how would that even work otherwise)
Tumblr media
but yeah, I hope everyone gets a chance! there's a lot of backstory characters I would LOVE to meet. :D :D :D though I do think some of them don't really suit the more light-hearted tone of the events (pretty sure you're right about that being why Falena wasn't in Tamashina-Mina, that would've just been. too much for Leona.) so like...we're probably not ever going to meet the Rosehearts. or Maleficia (although I maintain that this would be THE funniest possible way to introduce her outside of the main story, and actually I would love this a lot, can we please Twst) (I need to see her to put Malleus in a froofy little outfit and tell him what a handsome boy he is). but they've sprung surprises like Kifaji on us, and honestly anyone who shows up and tells embarrassing stories about characters' childhoods is good in my book!
characters off the top of my head who I most want to meet: literally any of the Zigvolts, Azul's mom, Ace's brother, Che'nya's grandfather (<- I think he would be a good one for Riddle) (please just any non-terrible adult in his life), any member of Rook's family because I need to see how they managed to produce him, and...really just whoever they can come up with for Silver.

wvsteria:
enzo scoffed at his accusations. nothing had happened to him, he was perfectly fine. it was the other that seemed to have the problem thinking that they’ve met before. “a whack on the head? what are you mad? try it and i’m snapping your neck.” in his world it meant nothing to snap another vampire’s neck, it only knocked them out for a bit.
Tumblr media
At the others threat he couldn't help the laugh that fell from his lips, "snap my neck? Now that I'd love to see you try. Did you also forget I'm immortal? " Eric inquired with a small chuckle, "might want to aim higher if you plan of hurting me."

For the micro story prompt, #7 :3
7 - Silent Fury
Early 20th Century. Little Italy, America.
Leone S. Candreva was a boy on a mission. Fiorire bounded along beside her counterpart, big adolescent paws hitting the cobblestones as her now-wolf nose lifted into the air to scent their friends between the open windows of the bakery, the bookbinders, and finally the schoolhouse.
“There, Leon!” She called out through their Bond, turning sharply to guide the duo into the playground. If Leon’s soft jaw wasn’t set and his expression thunderous, it surely would have turned so.
Fiorire smelled blood.
She couldn’t smell Panza at all.
Something’s wrong. Something's really wrong.
Her boy’s fists clenched, drawing blood away from his knuckles.
Only the friendship bracelet with her name on it showed any sign of his innocence as he tore into his bullies to save his friend.
“Leon, no!” Little Luis Serra from down the road held out a hand to stay the inevitable beatdown, but Leon came from Sicilian stock and he was silently enraged.
The upperclassmen didn’t see his tiny fist coming.
“Ay Dios mío.” The young boy sighed, holding his dormouse-shaped daemon to his chest. Panza was good to him like that, changing easily to whatever form he needed comfort from the most.
Luis’ mamá’s bombón was a badger, and having a tiny heartbeat nearby calmed him.
Especially when bullies started calling him awful names and pulling at his clothes.
Panza had tried to help but, like his human, there was only so much he could do before turning to the preservation of his boy. Luis and Panza weren’t like their friends, brave and combatative, and they tried to tell themselves that this way okay…
But when the younger boy was fighting three upperclassmen with nothing but Fiorire’s snarls (she’d taken the form of a wolf from Luis’ homeland, he noticed with shock) and Leon’s fists- and kicks, and teeth- just to protect someone else, someone who hung out with him after school when one of their grandparents had to work late, or taught him how to make friendship bracelets in the dusty backyard of a tenement, or gossiped in their Mother tongues just because they could…
Well, it made Luis feel awful.
Panza snuggled into his tiny palms, snuffling at the scrapes his boy had gotten after a bully had tried to tear his shirt and sent him to the ground.
Leon went flying, his small form bouncing as he landed in the sandy playground.
With a sniff, the blond devil picked himself back up and swiped the blood from a cut on his cheek. His steps were solid as he returned to the other kids, each footfall had purpose and his daemon twitched as her teeth sharpened to needles and her form shrunk.
Luis shivered as her ears began to thin and a bright white Glasgow Smile rippled across her chest.
Fiorire the Tasmanian Devil bared her teeth and Leon’s eyes glinted like death.
The shivering youth remembered what the menagerie said about those.
Ferocious. Mean and bloodthirsty just because they could. Would tear apart any enemy, no matter how big.
God, he hoped Fiorire didn’t Settle there.
As a bully’s skull thwacked into the unforgiving metal slide and Leon raised a ripped-up shoe to slam down onto the dazed kid’s head, Luis shook himself out of his horror and his gray eyes set.
"¡Sancho! ¡Basta!”
Enough.
Panza flowed out of his hands and landed in a very familiar shape.
Fiorire’s preferred lion cub form looked back at her with clear eyes and a lips pinched in concern.
She shuddered to a stop, her shock freezing Leon with his foot still poised to stomp his enemy into the metal edge.
Luis was many things: an intellectual, a bookworm, a hit with the girls…
But most of all he was sturdy.
He had held his Abuelo’s hand when his mama had died. He had set his jaw and ripped up one of his favorite shirts just to keep his own chest from betraying him.
He had reached out to the hurting, angry Italian kid when the blond showed up at the schoolhouse two years ago without parents and without anything to hold on to.
So Luis had reached out and he had held on.
"Vete." he mentally snapped to his daemon, the cub pouncing for his heart’s dearest friend where she stood frozen.
Leon felt the hit in his chest.
“L…Luis?”
If he hadn’t known Leon like he did, Luis would think he was betrayed.
Thankfully it was just shock.
Then Luis took the fists his mamá had given him and, with the savagery of her badger soul, he threw a punch.

The boys didn’t win, their enemies were the sons of dockworkers after all, and at least one was using his fists in a mirror to the way that dockworker used his: on smaller boys who couldn’t hope to win.
But they put up a damn good fight.
Panza had taken Fiorire into the trees at the soonest possible moment, utilizing that brain of theirs to remove the daemons from the circling bullies – one or two of whom had already Settled into cruel, muscular forms.
A quetzal from the menagerie led Fiorire’s mourning dove into the leaves where they left the slobbering dog, fox, and panther on the ground, glaring.
Luis’ long hair was pulled nearly to the point of blood and Leon was lucky that the teeth he lost were coming out anyway.
-
He spat blood into the dust on the side of the road and winced when his skinned knuckles touched his busted lip.
“Nonna is gonna kill us, Lu.”
The bookworm looked over in alarm before seeing the grin on his friend’s face. His shoulders relaxed and he shook his head, stray hairs still slipping loose.
“Not if we told her you were sticking up for me. You know she likes me best.” He knocked shoulders with his friend. Leon nodded to one side like ‘true’.
“’Sides, you’re famigghia. I wasn’t just gonna leave you n’ Panza.”
Luis froze in the middle of the street.
His friend raised an eyebrow and turned back to take him in.
“You okay?”
Luis began patting his pockets, alarm and terror filling his eyes past the point they had even when he had three bigger boys ready to tear him apart.
“I have to go back! Say hi to Nonna for me!”
“Luis-!”
The taller boy turned on his heel and took off back towards the schoolhouse, his hands shaking and a prayer running through the back of his mind.
No, no, no-
Leon’s footfalls followed him, along with the awkward not-yet-silent paws of a baby lioness. Panza circled his human’s neck, the bright reds of a fire salamander flickering as dusk lit his smooth skin.
Luis could handle the cruel names, the violence (Panza usually found a way out before it got too bad), and the stares.
It was when the idiotas touched his stuff that he felt that cold rush of terror shoot up his spine.
The one time he brought his copy of one of the Don Quixote books to school and a mean boy knocked it out of his arms he had frozen.
Panza had nearly turned into the pterosaur from the journals Luis hoarded and taken his tormentor’s hand off before Leon (then too young to be in school full-time) had run over and picked up the book.
Now the bracelet Leon had made him with Panza’s name on it was missing.
It had probably flown off his wrist when one of the big pendejos grabbed his arm and he slipped away, but it wasn’t there and he was panicking.
“Luis?”
He had begun muttering in quiet Spanish at some point as he ran up the road, drowning out the world as his thoughts orbited the small piece of jewelry made of old beads and flaking paint.
Panza’s throat frilled as he cycled through forms on Luis’ shoulders, the boy’s distress open in the rapidly vacillating form of scales, feathers, and fur.
Sometimes Leon wondered if Panza would ever Settle…
(Some part of him hoped not. That his mercurial, fanciful best friend would keep his whimsy and window to his moods on his sleeve for the rest of their lives.)
Panza launched himself off of Luis’ thin shoulders, gliding on the wings of the sharpest-eyed owl they could think of. Luis’ chest rose and fell rapidly, breath coming shorter and shorter.
"There!"
With uncharacteristic gracelessness and lack of care for his clothes, the frantic boy fell to his knees and picked up his friendship bracelet with shaking hands.
It seemed alright, nothing was snapped or broken. He bounced it on its thread once or twice, just in case any of the beads were hiding cracks.
“Luis? Hey…”
Leon could fight. He could swear. He could help his Nonna make meatballs with the best of them. (His hands were the perfect size, she’d said so herself! And you never doubt Nonna).
But he was at a loss when his friend started crying.
What would Nonna do…Fuck, what would Abuelo do?
Wincing as his bruised thigh twinged, Leon knelt on his knees before his friend.
“Luis? You okay?”
The two daemons held one of their silent conversations before the lioness translated into Leon’s head:
Your bracelets are one of his dearest possessions. He’d hate to lose his.
Leon blanked.
His young mind couldn’t fathom how important their afternoon of laughter and craft materials from neighbors must have meant to his friend to have the boy silently weeping.
Suddenly his arms were filled with his friend and he could do nothing but hold on.

Arctic Islands Research Compound
Nearly 19 years later, when one of the faceless scientists slipped an item the test subject had nearly forgotten about into his pale hands at the Dust trials, faded blue eyes snapped into understanding.
“What they’re doing here is wrong, my friend. And I won’t let them take anything else from you or anyone else trapped here.”
The bracelet in his hands matched the tattoo on his wrist, though it said a different name.
The beads were sun-bleached, the paint nearly gone, but as the man tethered to his daemon only through strength of will and the thinnest of threads turned it reverently one direction and then the next…
Laughter, bright and joyous filtered to his ears from between the claustrophobic tenement walls where two boys knelt over beads from a Romani laundress and paint from a German clockmaker.
His fist clenched around the bracelet that was still warm from another person’s skin.
The sewing thread from his Nonna had been replaced somewhere over the years with a thin, leather cord to fit the wrist of an adult.
When now-sharp blue eyes shot up to the retreating back of the scientist in a white coat, the warm eyes of a fire salamander looked right back.
Panza, the bracelet in his fist read.
Panza, the scientist whispered as he slipped into the nearest holding pen.
Fiorire, the salamander called…
And a wolf with dull eyes snapped to clarity and attention.
Panza was still an escape artist.
Leon was still vicious.
Fiorire still loyal.
Luis still whip-smart.
…And he had long stopped being afraid when it came to anything or anyone his still-soft heart held dear.
Besides, his Abuelo’s gun fit his hands, his old volumes of Don Quixote sat secure on a shelf in his safe-house, and his dearest friend held his bracelet.
What did he have to be afraid of?
-
Leon’s grin was feral as he heard Abuelo Serra’s gun going off in the hallway in front of his cage.

A/N Thanks for the prompt!!! This started off as that good good scorched earth Leon and then turned into babbies and then turned into 'I wanna do a Daemon au so I'll add it in' And now I have feelings and Ideas about where this au could go, so we'll see! :3c >:3c

Day 11 - the Homra in an amusement park, whats their plan? Do they have one? Are they someone who has a few attractions they really wanna go on or are they gonna try to ride as much as possible.
Okay, but I am such a huge sucker for amusement parks, so this is definitely a favourite ask that I had come in during the event! This was a blast to write and hopefully that translates well into them being fun to read for you guys!
So, I can see the idea of going to an amusement park really coming up because of Anna. Someone is talking about a fun trip they had to an amusement park with their friends and Anna looks a little confused and it occurs to everyone that holy shit, Anna’s never actually been to an amusement park before. And of course, that’s something that everyone agrees has to be rectified.
And for a lot of the guys, they might also be using letting Anna experience an amusement park as a little bit of an excuse to get out and have their own fun at an amusement park with the rest of HOMRA. Yeah, they do honestly want Anna to have good stuff and it will matter to them that she enjoys herself, but they also really do want to have a good time with each other at the amusement park.
So, the boys all plan out things about a week in advance, deciding on a day to go, figuring out the money to go and all that. They decide to take a whole day to just go and have fun. Not all of them can fit into one car, so both Kamamoto and Izumo take over the driving duties. They get there around opening time and mostly everyone’s excited, honestly.
I say mostly everyone because, I will say, originally, neither Mikoto or Izumo were really all that interested in going. Neither of them are really all that interested in amusement parks. Neither of them actively hate them or anything, but amusement parks aren’t something that really catch their interest. However, because it is for Anna both of them did eventually agree.
It’s decided that at least one of the boys have to be with Anna at all times but that they’ll all take shifts in doing so, that way everyone gets to do what they want. It was decided that, when they arrive at the park, everyone can kind of go their own ways, and they’ll meet up for meals and the fireworks spectacle the park puts on at the end of the day. Whoever’s taking over watching Anna also has the start time of their shift.
Mikoto actually sticks with Anna all day. It doesn’t matter who else is on duty with her, he just kind of stays with her and whoever else is with her. He doesn’t really get the appeal of amusement park rides, so he doesn’t go on any with her, but he just kind of chills, watches her go on the rides and takes the day to relax. His favourite parts of the day are just people watching in the smoking areas, eating, and the fireworks display at the end of the day.
Now, Izumo goes in between really staying with either Anna and Mikoto, or with Totsuka. Despite Izumo not really enjoying most amusement park rides, Totsuka and Anna get him on a couple. He’s kind of actually a fan of both the swings and the Ferris wheel but that’s about it and they’re the only rides he goes on.
Totsuka, meanwhile, is someone who floats between all the groups. He’s really excited to take Anna on as many rides as he can, to take her to all the souvenir and gift shops. He’s excited to hang with his oldest friends Kusanagi and Mikoto and to ensure they have fun. He goes and does things with all the HOMRA boys, spending time here and there with everyone. He’s someone who is kind of up for anything. There’s no ride he’s not up for, no food stall or restaurant he won’t try, no arcade or carnival game he won’t be excited for. He’s just living it up with his friends and making memories. But, of course, the best thing for him is being able to capture it all on film and photo for everyone. Those photos become precious treasures for Anna and a couple of the boys.
Kamamoto, surprising nobody, really does love visiting a lot of the food stands for the treats that are only available at amusement parks. He’s excited when the mealtimes come along, and he’ll have the best recommendations for where to go to eat. He’s definitely one of those people who, if the amusement park in question has souvenir cups or buckets when it comes to food and drinks, will grab them. He gets the souvenir cups/buckets for not only himself but for Anna most definitely and for the other boys and he’s so proud of himself when he gives them out at the end of the day. Like yeah, they were expensive and it kind of sucks for his wallet but this way everyone gets to bring some tangible part of their day at the park home with them and that makes him happy to think about.
Yata is a huge amusement park ride person. He wants to go on all of them and he definitely makes his way through the majority of the rides with his boys, normally dragging Kamamoto, Shouhei, Bandou, or Fujishima with him. However, the part of the day that will live in his memory the most? On his turn with Anna, he joins up Anna, Kusanagi, Totsuka and Mikoto (and Totsuka and Kusanagi definitely do make jokes about needing to babysit ‘the kids’, haha) and they find either the carnival games at the park. Yata’s definitely excited, he gets Anna really excited (as excited as Anna gets) to try out these games too. He’s bound and determined that he’ll win her as many prizes as she can carry in her arms. The two of them really do have fun trying out the wide variety of games and I love the thought of some of the other boys drifting along and noticing the group playing these games and joining in as well. It becomes competitions to see who can win, who can get the biggest prize, the ugliest prize, the weirdest one. By the end of the day, it’s taking Mikoto, Anna, and Kusanagi to carry all the prizes the boys have won for Anna. Even Anna herself had won a couple prizes, though she gave them to the boys since they were gifting her prizes and it made her happy, so she wanted to make them happy in return.
I love thinking that the alphabet boys all kind of end up doing the park together, even if they had initially not planned to. It’s just that they all kind of realized, after being in the park, after the plan was confirmed and they were trying to figure out what to do that hey….it’s not just Anna who has never been to an amusement park before. This is Eric’s first time coming to the amusement park and he looks both confused and a little awestruck at everything around him. So, of course, all the boys want to show Eric the best rides.
Shouhei loves all the different rides. Seriously, to him, rides are the best thing about amusement parks and he’s the one who most wants to go on everything. On the occasions that the boys do break off and drift into little groups before reforming, Shouhei’s always found with whoever is going on either the fastest or most thrilling ride, or the one he’s never been on or heard of again.
Bandou likes rides, but nothing that hurls him upside down in anyway. He doesn’t mind fast, just don’t flip him upside down so things like the Zipper and some roller coasters are automatic no-go’s for him. He’ll never come out and say he hates them, because he doesn’t want to look like a wimp, so he always just has to conveniently take a piss, is hungry and needs a snack, or wants a smoke break whenever they come close to one of those kind of rides and he’ll disappear for a bit when they go on those rides, either by himself or with one of the other guys who also didn’t want to go on the ride.
Chitose mostly behaves himself. He spends the least amount of time with Anna, only properly doing half his shift, but, to come to his defense, that’s because he started puking after Anna made him do a Tilt-A-Whirl side ride with him about six times in a row because ‘he could make the cart spin faster than anyone else’. He kind of needed a sit down after that experience. There are times when he’s with the boys and he’ll disappear for a good chunk of time though and just reappear back and it’s normally because he’d started chatting up a girl in the line-ups or whatever and wanted to keep flirting with her instead of sticking with the sausage fest.
Dewa is surprisingly really into amusement park rides. He knows it’s probably really childish, but the boy loves any really fast, really thrilling, or kind of scary rides. Things like drop-towers appeal to him, rollercoasters with huge loops that flip you upside down or that go extremely fast. He hates boring rides, like carousels, Ferris Wheels, things like that. But give Dewa a solid thrill ride and he’s happy. He’ll go between his shift with Anna, doing the thrill rides with the boys, and keeping Chitose from running off fully with some chick he met in line.
As mentioned, this is really Eric’s first time coming to an amusement park and the boys are making sure he gets the full experience. Turns out that Eric gets really nauseous with things that spin him around and around and around at super him speeds, so that’s a cool fact he learned. He likes rollercoasters to a degree, but not the really fast or scary ones. Mostly, he’s just relaxing, having a good time, and enjoying the new experience but he can sometimes also get a little overwhelmed with the crowds, the noise level and all and I think he takes the most smoke breaks out of the boys, mostly for excuses to get away to a quieter area of the park and have  couple moments to himself.
Fujishima really is a very go with the flow kind of guy and that shows in his approach to the park. He kind of just sticks with his friends and is content to do what they all want to do. He’s been to the amusement park before and while his past self was excited to come, he’s not super excited about it all now, just more pleasantly happy to be able to do so. He enjoys experiencing the park with his friends and is really happy to see everyone else happy together. I will say I don’t think he likes extreme heights so drop-towers are something he would never go on, with the exception of something like ‘The Tower of Terror’ where you don’t see as much of the outside as you drop.
Like I said, everyone does get back together to eat supper together at the end of the day. They definitely do take Kamamoto’s suggestions and they’re a rowdy, loud, but pleasant bunch. The noise and the slightly rough housing make them a pain for the other guests but not so much that they’ll get kicked out. They all eat until they’re stuffed and then head to the fireworks. Once those are done, they all pile back into the vehicles and at least Anna, Mikoto, and Eric both fall asleep in the car on the ride home, just saying.

These Crow Reboot haters are rearing their racist head as well. First they blab on about the disrespect to Brandon Lee, now they're throwing in the "oh my god the disrespect to the goth scene which is a distinctly WHITE subculture" for casting a FKA twigs as Shelly... Hey do they know Brandon Lee is fucking mixed lol
I have not come across a comment so explicit in their racism but I'm not surprised if you did because I did read some other "subtle" words about this new Shelly. Ahhh the way they have idolized and white washed their own sub culture is almost unbelievable.
And by white washed I mean not only the racist part but also the classism... Now suddenly all goths look one way : no tattoos like " rappers" they have "cool long hair" , "cool wardrobe" and they have the clear appearance of nice quiet guys.
Delusional.
You just need one ONE night at a goth club and you'll see people with normal clothes, the one with a lot of face piercings , some dressed like vampires , other with full face black & white make up , girls in tight leather attires and guys that seem out of a trailer park with tattoos like Bill in the new pic.
The "goths" want to be seen as "cool" by outside people, that's all , they are desperate for compliments ... they think they will stand out from the " current trends" if they have another Brandon Lee cosplayer in this movie. Someone "clean and decent ... "
I even got to read the stupid rant of the actress who played sarah in the '94 movie , she says that "the modern Eric Draven looks like the bad guys he is supposed to fight "
I'm sorry ? Why does he look like a criminal for these people ? Because of a bunch of tattoos ? Are they trapped in the 1950's ? it's fucking 2024 !
Also the way they talk about the new Shelly, saying " this one had a relationship with a drug mob and dies because of a deal gone wrong that's not my Shelley, she will never do that she was sweet and wanted a better world" 🙄
People think that you can only be a victim if you check all the boxes to be one. And no. Women , and people in general, can be tangled in very shady situations and even like that be absolute victims of people who are way more dangerous.
That is how this new movie will play , this is not the 1994 story done again. It's partially based in the comics with a modern touch, cause it's been 30 fcking years.
This is the tragic love story of 2 lost souls ( moderns Eric and Shelly ) who tried to get better overcoming addiction, fall in love in the process but didn't get to enjoy that new opportunity in life because of death... So Eric will return looking for revenge.
Why are people hating this new storyline, it sounds pretty similar to the one they love soooo much ('94) , oh yeah because they don't consider flawed people humans deserving of redemption.
Again. They are sooo out of the norm so accurate goth , that they are now on the conservative - purist end.
Uhh and don't get me started with the stupid posts the director of the 94 movie made ... That guy is an asshole.

I would love to hear all the reasons you don’t ship Donna with Eric and don’t think they were right for each other because I totally agree and we’re such a minority! They want really different things out of life and I feel like Eric needs someone more romantic, supportive and loving than Donna is while she needs someone more unconventional and adventurous than Eric (I say this as someone who likes Eric but isn’t crazy about Donna, and she honestly seem to believe she was way too good for him)
Hi! Yes we really are in the minority here. I pretty much don't like them together primarily for the reasons you have stated. What they want out of life will take them in totally different directions, especially Donna. Donna is probably the biggest issue for me, and you can't exactly be a shipper of a ship if you simply dislike half of it.
Donna has always seemed like she thinks of herself as better and smarter than Eric, and is not afraid to disrespect and belittle him. She mostly says nothing when their friends put Eric down in order to prop her up. When there is a problem, he is primarily to blame before she can even think of apologizing for her mistakes.
She thought so little of him throughout season 3, specifically before the episode of their breakup. Main examples I can think of right now: interjecting and belittling him when he's trying to tell his friends a funny story, ditching him for hours after a concert night out and feeling entitled to do so, and her diary entry about wanting Eric to be, like, edgier or something, which led him to attempt to get a tattoo for her. It is Eric's fault for reading her private diary, and he should not have done it. But this specific point goes back to what you mentioned about Donna needing someone more "adventurous". Eric was not that for her.
These were the true feelings that she was yearning for, but chose to settle with Eric after her failure with "bad boy, exciting" Casey because Eric is safe and practically "worships" her, which naturally gives her the upper hand. I just think that's a horrible way to look at someone, in my opinion. At the end of season 3, once she was made to face the reality of being with Eric in the long term, she rejected the idea and didn't want to give him a real answer.
I don't think I need to talk too much about the crap in season 4. More belittling, more pettiness, vengeance (unapologetically slandering him in the school paper and then getting upset when she gets a taste of her own medicine), and rubbing Casey in his face. Eric wouldn't think to treat her the way she treated him. Yet he is somehow still the bad guy and in the complete wrong.
Season 5-7 were basically the same type of behavior. Season 6 brought back Mitch, which really brought some of Donna's worst qualities (ego and pride) in the way she treated Eric. Season 6, Eric ditches his own wedding, knowing this conjugal life will only fill Donna with regret. Imagine knowing that the person you love is going to regret spending the rest of their life with you. Just wow. Season 7 Eric seems to have grown disillusioned with his life and this shitty relationship and just left. I'm glad he did.
In the end, it was all a rollercoaster and while Donna and Eric had their (few) sweet moments, so much of it was overshadowed by these lame negatives for me. As for Eric, he threw himself into this relationship and made Donna his whole world to the point where he had no aspirations besides wanting to be with her. Naturally, this made him insecure, especially when he felt he was being left behind. This wouldn't have happened if he had some solid goals for his future, rather than just sitting around, smoking pot with his friends, and thinking of Donna all day. In Donna's defense here, I can see why her feelings about the promise ring were so hesitant.
So, these are my main reasons for not liking the ship. No matter how many years go by and I rewatch, this minority opinion remains the same.

I feel like not enough people are talking about the fact that before Ursula came in as Vanessa, Eric was sprinting to get to the castle for which I assume he was possibly going to go back to Ariel and make a move 👀. I really loved that little detail so much, he was SO close in reach right before Ursula hypnotized him
OMG YES! he was for sure running to tell her how he feels and to finally kiss her and the fact that he just couldn’t wait and had to sprint, i just

Hey Steph, hope you are doing great. I sent you a request for internalized homophobia John ficrecs a while ago, accidentally as anon because it had been years since I last used Tumblr and clearly I have a hard time keeping up haha.
Anyways, while I patiently wait for your answer, I just wanted to send you some love because I got back into the fandom last December after years of pushing it aside, and it's been a wonderful experience of coming to terms with what fanfiction meant for me when it was a part of my life as a teenager. Your blog, which I found so quickly googling "johnlock fic recs", really facilitated the whole process of finding fics that could speak to me, and that reminded me why I used to love fanfiction so much.
I was just listening to "Probably Me" by Sting on the subway and thoughts it was such a Johnlock coded song and might be a great fit for your playlist. (I think this was the original intention for my message, and it kind of turned into something else haha.)
In other words, thank you :)

[Verse 1: Sting] If the night turned cold and the stars looked down And you hug yourself on the cold cold ground You wake the morning in a stranger's coat No one would you see You ask yourself, who's watched for me My only friend, who could it be It's hard to say it I hate to say it, but it's probably me
[Verse 2: Sting] When your belly's empty and the hunger's so real And you're too proud to beg and too dumb to steal You search the city for your only friend No one would you see You ask yourself, who's watched for me A solitary voice to speak out and set me free I had to say it I hate to say it, but it's probably me
[Bridge: Sting] You're not the easiest person I ever got to know And it's hard for us both to let our feelings show Some would say I should let you go your way You'll only make me cry If there's one guy, just one guy Who'd lay down his life for you and die I Hate to say It I hate to say it, but it's probably me
[Verse 3: Sting] When the world's gone crazy and it makes no sense There's only one voice that comes to your defense And the jury's out and your eyes search the room And one friendly face is all you need to see If there's one guy, just one guy Who'd lay down his life for you and die I Hate to say it I hate to say it, but it's probably me
[Outro: Sting] I hate to say it I hate to say it, but it's probably me I hate to say it I hate to say it, but it's probably me I hate to say it I hate to say it, but it's probably me

Do you have any Prince Eric whump fics to rec, dear Ace?
I WISH I DID!!! Sadly there really isn't any whump fics for Eric that I've found. I did enjoy this one: Remember by Maeko Summary: It made sense, after all - Ursula was a powerful sea witch, and Eric was only human. 5 times Eric forgot and 1 time he remembered.
If you've written whumpy Prince Eric pleeeeeease give yourself a shout out!!!

@lettherebemonsters .
Things have really gone to shit since John’s passing. The remaining apprentices were like a group of children fighting over their dad’s will - except, instead of funds, they fought over who got to take the other out first. Logan wanted no part of that - he had nothing but respect for John and his philosophies, but aside from his own little game a few years back, he hadn’t been super involved in any of that since before John’s passing. But they knew who he was, where he lived, what he did with his current life and apparently, who he was engaged to.
He knew if it ever came up it would be a bit of a conflict. Eric was a murderer, and a pretty hardcore one at that. Intentions didn’t matter. And though it was a bit hypocritical of them, he couldn’t say he was all too surprised to hear action was taken. But Eric was a fighter above anything else. He fought for the family he lost, to keep his own head afloat until Logan found him, and now he fought for the family he’s finally found. So he also wasn’t surprised to find out Eric walked away from the encounter untested, and covered in blood that wasn’t all his own.
And he was shaking, he was shaking so hard… Logan didn’t know what else to do but just hold him through it. Arms closed around the smaller trembling frame. His hat sat on the table nearby while his fingers threaded through silver hair, lightly scratching at his fiancé’s scalp in an attempt to at least somewhat soothe him.
