backstory

growing up in the alpen house meant a lot of cameras and a lot of attention. luckily, ainsley loved them. the only thing she didn’t enjoy about that house was how vulnerable she was in front of the world

she started acting in small school plays because being on stage was the only time when she felt like she could actually express herself. however, she only started professionally acting after she graduated from high school

after the show ended, she moved to california to get a kickstart in her career. she landed a few jobs, but when her mother called with the idea of a new reality show, ainsley decided to jump back into what made her famous in the first place. so she occasionally makes cameos on her mother's show, telling their viewers how her acting life is going.

she’s a happy person; she’s very free spirited and usually in a good mood

a total prude and extremely boring (jk, she can be a bitch sometimes). the only thing she smokes is weed, usually with her siblings, and is probably still a virgin (🤫)

she knows she's going to be one of those old cat ladies, so she keeps adopting dogs to avoid that. she currently has three golden retrievers: sam, mac, and teddy.

⋆ ° ♔ — (Sarah Bolger, pansexual, female) look who’s been captured and brought to Tulach Island; it’s Fiona Dúghlas, a 27 year old spare princess of Scotland. She has been described as caring & loyal but also hot-headed & stubborn. While on the island, she works as a Bartender at The Pier.

Fiona has always taken herself very seriously. As a child, she felt the immense pressure of being under a global microscope intensely. She answered the demands of the media, her parents, and the public by doing anything she could to give them no material to work with. She studied all of the right subjects, History, Political Science, she did all of the right hobbies, fencing, horseback riding, debate, choir, all while still making time for the public appearances expected of someone in her position. She spent time with all of the right people, the children of the right people, never thinking twice as to whether she actually liked or cared about them, only ever letting herself relax and be herself around her siblings. 

Growing up right in the middle of five children, she always knew she would have to leave her home and serve Scotland by strengthening ties with another country, and she’d been preparing herself to do just that when Lorne was “murdered.” Her brother’s supposed death changed everything for Fiona. Her parents’ inability or unwillingness to deal with the effect of their brother’s death on their remaining children saw Fiona stepping up in ways she had never planned on. She did everything she could to hold her little sister together, grasping at anything she could to keep Ainsley from spiraling beyond her reach. In public she put on the same, correct face she always had, but now it masked all of the rage and loss swirling beneath the surface. Scotland, and more importantly, her siblings needed someone to lean on, and who would do it if Fiona didn’t? 

Fiona is fiercely loyal to the people she loves, even if those people are largely limited to her family. She would go to the ends of the earth for the people she cares about, but they are few and far between. She can be fearsome in defense of these people, especially Ainsley. Most of the times that she’s lost her cool have been on behalf of her younger sister, and she regrets none of it. She is just as likely to throw a punch as she is to give a backhanded compliment in front of the court. She’s never seen herself as petty or cruel, at least unnecessarily. Personal and I have been on this site for a really long time, there’s no set theme theme. However expect fandom content (including and not limited to Star Wars, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Magnus Archives, Good Omens, OFMD, The Passenger, Fallen Hero, The Elder Scrolls, Discworld, DND), animals, many a meme and shitpost and me rambling.

I somehow managed to get an MSc in Conservation Biology, My masters thesis project involved me trying to find slow-worms, I used to volunteer in a zoo and worked with lemurs, I’ve been bitten by a lemur and slapped by a gibbon, I’ve given leopards treats. I’ve volunteered in an animal shelter, I have fallen off a horse.

I like animals, nature, chocolate, tea, Dr Pepper, spooky things, tarot cards, crystals, skulls, plushies, My Little Pony, rock and metal music of varying genres but goth feels like my home and I like the fun clothes

I do my best to try and tag common triggers and tag spoilers. If you need something tagging feel free to request and I will do so within reason.

I do reblog things like snakes, frogs, lizards, spiders, insects, human and animal skulls and skeletons fairly often.

I’m generally cool with people sliding into my dms and inbox, I like to talk. 

I do have discord but likely won’t give that to you unless we’re close mutuals, I know you from a discord server or we have some other reason to use discord.

I do not consider myself an expert or authority on anything, and whilst I might share and talk about certain topics I find relevant to my experiences or what I particularly care about I am not necessarily the person to go to with indepth questions about them.

I’m am basically always down for OC asks and fic prompts but it can take a while for me to get to them and I will occasionally clear out really old stuff from my inbox and apologise in advance
