♡ It feels a bit insulting almost that her future queen thinks she would joke or lie about something that is as important as this. She gave you a ring so surely you should understand she's being entirely serious about this, she makes you sit on her lap in her office most days, perhaps it's because she didn't ask you in front of everyone, that was her mistake, she'll force you to attend a ball with her so she can propose in front of everyone and they'll all understand you're going to be the queen in the future, even if you don't fully grasp it yet, everyone else will get the picture. Or perhaps you think she's lying because you're a maid, in that case she'll have to make a noble family adopt you so you'll realize she's being entirely serious about making you her queen. ♡

♡ She feels a bit bad about how she behaved in the past, joking around and acting coy and overly flirty, she's angry at herself for damaging her chances with you but don't worry she'll show you her true self from now on and you'll understand how much she loves you and needs to have you at her side. She luckily has a lot of power at her disposal due to the temple literally worshiping her so she can use all of that to give you gifts and praise until you understand she's entirely committed to you, she just needs to get those bad thoughts about her not loving you out of your head, she'll have to hurt anyone who makes you doubt her love for you afterwards, very hard, after all she's putting so much work into this, she can't afford to have people spoiling it. ♡

♡ Abigail feels like she's going insane, she's put in so much effort into getting you to understand her affections for you and yet you just simply don't believe her. It's not that you're rejecting her, it's that you don't believe she's sincere, you feel like her feelings towards you are a joke... You don't see her for a couple of days afterwards, she needs to formulate a game plan. Unlike the others she doesn't want to just go ahead with kidnapping or a wedding because she wants you to be involved in the planning and that can only happen once she gets you to understand she's being completely genuine. Plus she needs time away for a bit to beat the shit out of the training mannequins because what has she done wrong that her devotion to her lady comes off as insincere? ♡

♡ She... thinks of this as you accepting her love confession, surely you laughed at it which means that you must have found it funny and she will be very confused when later on she goes to give you a big ol smooch and you start giggling again, okay you can stop laughing now, she wants a kiss from her pookie but then you start laughing more cause you still think she's joking and then she gets a little bit angry, stop fucking laughing and give her a kiss you bitch. When she learns you thought she was joking about asking you out, she feels sad, aw poor pookie, should she kill anyone who ever made you feel like you would never get asked out in the past. ♡

Ainsley Whitaker is a man who once lived a somewhat happy life with his mother away from town until one day his ex-fiance betrayed him by shooting him in the head and turning over his mother to the witch hunters. As his mother burned at the stake, she swore vengeance on the people that had killed her beloved son. Such words of wrath then awakened Ainsley from the embrace of Death and gave him a new purpose in life at the cost of clear memories: to offer deals to the most desperate while damning them to the eternal flames of hell.

His memories of the past are quite hazy, and some are missing from the collection. He is, however, very pessismistic about love and practically everything.

As the Conductor, Ainsley is required to offer deals to those who are desperate to get revenge on those who have wronged them or get out of a bad situation at the cost of giving up their place in Heaven. He's summoned to the desperate soul at their darkest hour, and every deal he makes extends his life span by a year. In rare situations, those deals can even save him from Death's door should he come close to dying at the cost of losing some years off of his life span. Currently, his life span is about 100,000 years.

Ciar Ainsley! They are a Dragon Age Origins OC, intended to function as a possible human commoner origin. As to why Ciar is the most likely one to lose their keys repeatedly... well, see for yourself with this snippet set at the beginning of the Redcliffe quest:

The door shut again, and once more it did so loudly. Bann Teagan stared at it with unmitigated surprise. So did everybody else; nobody made a sound. Only Morrigan let out a little scoff.

12. to sing when they think they are alone

Marelas Lavellan! He has a lovely singing voice, rich and warm (if not deep). However, outside of stipulated rituals and other ceremonial occasions, he doesn't sing in front of people. He was incredibly anxious as a younger man and this is a holdover from that time. If he tries to sing in front of people just for fun, there is a chance his voice might just lock up and he won't be able to get a sound out. When he's alone, he enjoys singing very much, and I imagine Dalish day to day life to be full of singing and handiwork that invites singing to help pass the time.

Astala Tabris. She loves herself a good dance, and she loves dancing with people. It's fun, they're all more or less in sync, she can move around to the music without thinking about any of the many things that make life hard, and just enjoy herself. I HAD TO THINK HARDCORE ABOUT THIS ONE.....I wanted to talk abt his room beforw minecraft cos we all seen that shit. BUT!

When Ainsley was growing up in verrog he was, in fact, fortunate enough to have his own room that he didn't have to share with any siblings or family; this was something he was well aware of as a luxury and took advantage of it to the fullest with what he had. He made friends with the local crows(despite Lester and his mother's protests) and if they brought him any cool trinkets he had a shelf dedicated to them, or would try and put them together into something he could hang up ^_^ Or he would just find shiny shit on his own lol. He would hang up a painting or two that he was particularly proud of that he did at school(when he got to go) as well since he didn't have any fun wallpaper or anything. He had a vanity that his mother got for him to do makeup and all that nonsense at but he much preferred to use it as a desk to write his little poems or scratch out painting ideas in a notebook. It was always, always a mess with pencils and crumpled papers scattered around. It was hard for him to remember to keep it clean so he never did, though this could probably be said of his entire room anyway. If Lester or Eli had something they wanted to keep safe, he would often keep it in his room for them to prevent it from being damaged in the small, busy house the two lived in, like elis violin sometimes; so not all of the mess was his own. Although his shelves were dedicated to Shit He Found there was a space for old books he was able to keep either by taking worn ones from school or stuff bought from the town over when he was able to go.

In short: kind of a mess, pretty empty given the state of the town he was from, but he made the most of it.

And as a bonus bc I want to he also had his own room in his apartment with Lester when the two of them moved to the city ^_^ but that was a little different. When they moved, Ainsley's illness was at its worse because the most physically demanding changes began and it was happening at an alarming rate so he was basically bedridden; because of this his room was much cleaner(Lester made sure to keep it that way). He still had a desk by the window for days that he felt okay enough to get up to sit somewhere else, but he didn't write or anything nearly as much. So even though he had most of his important things from home, this room didn't look nearly as lived in. It was dark most of the time. It didn't feel as much like a new home as he thought it would. It was very lonely.

♡ How They React To A Darling Who Used To Like Them ♡

♡ It makes sense that you gave up on Theanna after so many years of pining and no response. Theanna was very popular when she was still in the fight for the throne and had no time for romance so there were many people who had their hopes crushed and eventually gave up. Still you stayed by her side the whole fight, only wanting to help her survive and give her comfort on the hard days when the assassins simply would not stop coming. She appreciated the company even if she was bad at expressing that and she had hoped that you would continue to be a dear friend after she took the throne but sadly that was not what happened. ♡

♡ As soon as she claimed the throne you had given up on ever being by her side that way so you had to stop devoting your affections towards her all the time if you ever wanted a chance of having a relationship. This is extremely upsetting to Theanna however, she already lost her other closest friends the moment she became their boss, she can't lose what she gets from you. That's also when she realize the affection you used to give her wasn't strictly platonic and now that you aren't giving it to her, she's panicking that someone else is receiving your love the same way she used to. She really can't tolerate that so she pops into action, surely announcing your engagement at the next ball will get the notion of moving on from her out of your poor sweet dumb head. ♡

♡ You traveled with Elisha when she first appeared in the world, it was a scary time for her and she didn't have time to pay attention to all the people around her, she had to slay an elder dragon so while the company while travelling was pleasant, she didn't have time to wait around for you so eventually you wound up getting left behind at a town while you were recovering from the scars of a previous battle. It wasn't that she didn't feel bad but the kingdom needed to be saved, the chosen one cannot spend two weeks in some random town when the enemy is actively ravaging the countryside. She left behind more than your fair share of her cash when she left but she didn't even bother to say goodbye. ♡

♡ You meanwhile were devastated that your longtime companion had up and left without another word, especially when you had been in love with her and would have done anything to stay by her side. Still eventually you did start to move on, you made a life in the town she had stranded you in meanwhile Elisha continued to travel even after the big danger had been dealt with and well... she was lonely. She remembered she used to have a travelling companion but she was sure she had ruined any chance of that but when she returned to the village to find some clue for if you were okay, she found you were still as lovely as kind as ever and well she really needed that on the road with her. You don't have a choice in coming with her, if the chosen one says they need someone to travel with them, you have to listen to her, don't worry she will never leave your side again baby. ♡

♡ Pauline has had quite a few people confess their love to her over the years and she usually tears up their letters and embarrasses them in front of everyone. You were the most persistent of all of them though, always leaving little gifts on her desk at the academy and not giving up even when she insulted you in front of all her followers. Eventually you did give up which did bother her slightly mainly because you had become part of her routine but she went about her days normally for the most part afterwards. ♡

♡ When she needed someone to fake pretend to be her darling you were the first to come to mind. You hadn't tried asking her out in awhile but you had really liked her so surely you must still like her even if you've been quiet about it, but she's upset when your answer is no. Had it been a year prior you would have agreed and hoped it would turn into something more but now you just didn't really care. She needed you for this though, she could make you love her again, she just needed to put in a bit of effort which is how your roles became reversed with her leaving big expensive gifts at your doorstep constantly and serenading you any chance she gets. By the time you relent and say yes it's no longer a fake relationship. ♡

♡ Abigail did not have a lot of time for dating in her youth and she was always so caught up in the idea that in the future she would find her duchess so she never considered her future duchess might be around her in the present. Beyond that well... she had a very bad self esteem, who would be attracted to her, she gutted someone in front of the court for trying to poison her so surely she would need to fix her reputation before anyone could even consider being attracted to her. Needless to say your feelings went unnoticed by her even as you watched in the crowd wishing you could use your handkerchief to clean the blood off her face. ♡

♡ Later on you joined her squad of knights and once you did any feelings were basically killed just with how strict her training was. She liked you which is why she was going a bit hard on you because she had hoped you would give up on training quickly. She even gave you alternatives for similar jobs that would allow you to stay close to her but you had taken those suggestions as an insult which only made you grow further and further from her. She was very upset when she felt you pull away from her when you had always been so kind in the past, she thought once you joined her squad you two could have something and she would do anything to get it back that way but everything she tried failed. ♡

♡ Ainsley believes in love at first sight which is why she looked past your crush the first times you met, she didn't have that spark the first time so you were only ever going to be someone who she made out with occasionally. You were enjoyable to talk to but the spark was not there. Maybe it was because of the tumultuous time in the kingdom but she was just sort of scatterbrained at the time and eventually she had to leave to go find the chosen one, so your feelings faded and you forgot about her until she returned to court after a year or two gone. ♡

♡ When she sees you for the first time after awhile once she's finally not under constant stress, the spark is instantly there. She doesn't know how she didn't see the spark before but unfortunately for her, you don't feel it anymore which is devastating that she messed up her chance with her true love by not noticing it at first but it's okay, she will salvage this, she's sure if she just forces you to be in her tower all day then eventually being in close proximity will reignite it. You poor thing, you likely are just angry she left are are suppressing your feelings, she'll remedy this quickly. ♡

One Piece

Neri - sadly, her parents were killed. But they had a very close relationship.

Niara - her mother is dead. They weren't always close but became rather close during her illness, when Niara was the one caring for her. Niara's father is still alive but their relationship was never good and after Niara decided to screw her father's wishes and not join the marines, it's only gone more downhill. They haven't met again yet but if they will one day, it won't be pleasant. Azura - she had a good relationship with both her parents who decided to stand up against the world government and got killed because of that. She also had a good relationship with her uncle who became her guardian after that (and introduced her to piracy). Cordelia - her parents are unknown so far (to her), but she does have a good relationship with the family she grew up in. Ellaria - does not know her family Ginny - she did have a loving relationship with her mother, who sadly passed away when Ginny was very young. Her father is an asshole who kind of used her when it suited him and then kind of forgot about her. There is a lot of resentment going on here... Midori - she always loved her family and they loved her back in their own way, but her childhood was pretty problematic. In the end, Midori had to get rid of her chains, so to speak, to finally do something for herself. The past is still on her mind but she's trying really hard to not look back.

Pokemon Lark - they had a good relationship (but sadly never saw each other again after Lark and her friends ended up in another world with no way of returning)

Skye - there are problems in the family, which resulted with Skye staying with her grandmother and cousin often. They don't have a bad relationship though. Calla - is a child of divorce. Her mother is never mentioned at all. She still has somewhat of a relationship with her father but neither of her parents came to celebrate holidays or milestones with her. Galar Leilani - is the apple of the eye to both her parents who are literally doting on her... Ainsley - has a good relationship with both her parents although they clash, too, especially her and her father. But overall, they still love each other. Leilani - has no contact with her parents anymore. They used to have a good relationship when she was young but once Leilani actually followed her own path, that crumbled pretty quickly. Leilani has a very good relationship with her own daughter though (see "Galar" Leilani/AU). Malea - her brother was always the beloved child while Malea was just "there" and got the blame for everything. After finally leaving and finding her own "found family" and eventually family (see Ainsley/AU), she never looked back. Iris - the middle child and well, always in the middle. Not very close to her father, who is not so nice anyway, at the very least she has it better than her younger brother. Her mother was not mentioned so far but they seem to have a good relationship. It's not too bad with her father either as long as she does as she is told. (Too bad she's a free spirit!) Caitlin - presumably gets on well with her mother but is a daddy's girl through and through. She worked in her father's company and is literally his second in command (and as evil as he is in many aspects). Therefore, those two do get along very well...

The Tribe

Hope - as all parents in this universe, they are dead. She was the lonely little rich girl who wasn't very close to her parents but loved them either way. Eden - had a very close relationship with her parents when they were still alive. Jaz - her parents were divorced. She was bounced from one parent to another and learned to be independed pretty quickly. There's some resentmet from her though but her backstory hasn't been fully explored yet. Roxy - her parents divorced and her dad moved away with her brother while Roxy stayed with their mother. Roxy never saw her dad again and resented him for it. She was not very close with her mother either and blamed her for a lot of things too.
