There’s a picture of you sleeping, another of you snuggled up against his chest, one of you belly laughing, and more. However, his favorites are the ones that are the most ordinary, the ones that you personally don’t think are all that special. In these pictures you’re doing the most mundane things like laundry, washing the dishes, watching television, engaging in your favorite hobby, etc. He thinks you look beautiful in all of them. He doesn’t believe there needs to be a reason for him to take these pictures. You simply existing is reason enough for him.

i did end up going to the ER last night! ran a couple tests, but unfortunately the doctor couldn't find anything apparently wrong (i was getting enough oxygen in my blood, throat/lungs didn't sound abnormal, x-rays and swabs came back normal, etc.)

so he ended up giving me a little anxiety medication just in cases it was some sort of stress response! i do feel a little better today overall, and at least the medication makes me eepy (￣o￣) . z Z

I was getting bombarded with a bunch of asks about updates of course (because what else would ppl wanna ask me or tell me 😅) and now it’s starting in the comments too, so I’d like to point out without having to write a long post and explanation with hundreds of details (ppl who get it, get it), that MH update didn’t get postponed because of me. It wasn’t my fault and if you had any ounce of respect and empathy, you’d know I’m dealing with other stuff as well. Don’t jump into conclusions. For the last at least like 10 Mh updates I always thought of updating and then I read a bunch of dumb comments and demands which I found highly discouraging. So just wanna say, most of the time when mh update is slow; it’s not because of me but because of you who discourage me, because of those who make this constant pressuring comments and asks that have zero empathy.

Ps: some of you are so bitter about employed, so just wanna say I’ve got a few chapters pre-written and that’s why I’m updating it often.

Just let me live my life. Thank you.

btw, if anyone has noticed me being less 'present' on here lately, or for the last several months or so -

long story short, we had to cut our spending significantly this year, and one of the only areas we could do that was in groceries, and one of the only ways to do that was for me to shift to making most of what we eat from scratch myself. considering that i have - *counts on fingers* - eight chronic illnesses and disorders, that uses up basically every spoon in my drawer, especially when you release my obsessive compulsive tendencies into the arena.

as if that wasn't enough, i also had some blood tests show that i have, uh, several strains of mold in my body, including black mold. :/ i'm taking a thing to hopefully cure that, but the die-off is a bit of a bitch.

so anyway, if i don't answer your ask or message or post much beyond my queue, i am simply exhausted without the mental energy to even reblog posts. here's hoping that getting rid of the mold makes me feel at least marginally better. 🖖

see now that we've unlocked the Vex Arc Lore I can really get into this hehehe

So I think I've mentioned before, but Scar didn't grow up alongside vexes (other than Cub), so he's very new to all these instincts, but they are something he sort of has to lean on in order to survive sometimes. Even if they're new and scary and often uncharacteristically violent for him.

For starters, though, he can be overwhelmingly protective, almost possessive, and especially after the events with Juni. Scar doesn't trust a soul after that. Low growls and spectral wings flaring out angrily. Claws at the ready.

And then there's the biting... lol snippet from an rp a few weeks ago: (If someone had tried to tell him he’d be this into biting a year ago, he’d have thought they were crazy. And yet now it has such a sway on him, making him reconsider how capable he is of continuing this little ruse.)

It's not necessarily a violent thing. It's more about claim, about showing affection with his teeth. Visible mementos. Bragging to the world about their bond. (It was their thing long before Scar knew it was a vex thing. Predator and prey. Trust and vulnerability.)

I'd say the longer Scar stays at the Vex Commune, he also grows more emotional in a sense. Vexes channel their emotions for power, and now he's around many vex who do this on the regular. For instance, Nico's is effortless, constant, casual. Kane's is loud, rash, sudden. Scar is being influenced by those of his kind now, for better or for worse.

It's actually Nadia, who we've briefly mentioned, who wants Scar to stay true to himself before all else. To continue drawing power from love and virtue, lest he lose what makes him who he is.

...also Scar purrs sometimes. Because it's cute to make vexes be a little cat-like, as a treat. <3
