bet on it: ...i was afraid this would happen. my sister and i jammed out to all three hsm soundtracks on a long drive earlier this week. there is nothing like belting out bet on it and scream in a car with your sister. so then i kept listening to those two songs. scream is also in fact on this playlist right now.

anyway, Deuteronomy and Grizabella had Munkustrap together, Grizabella had Demeter with a tom outside of the junkyard, no one knows who he was, Jennyanydots and Deuteronomy had the Rum Tum Tugger together, after Grizabella left the jellicles.

neither Deuteronomy or Grizabella was particularly interested in being parents, so Munkustrap and Demeter kinda had to fend for themselves. for the most part it worked out: the other adults co-parented Munk, Munk parented Deme, and when Grizabella was around she was a genuinely good mother. she just wasn't around a lot. and Deuteronomy was kinda like that one relative you see once or twice a year when you go to their house to visit: they're great, but not a parent.

and then Grizabella left. and Demeter was angry at everyone and everything but Grizabella, Munkustrap was angry at specifically Grizabella. either way the only Demeter allowed to act as a parent was Munk, so that he did, which wasn't exactly ideal since they were both v much children still. and then shortly after Tugger was born.

i think Demeter and Tugger were probs closer when young, since they could be just siblings in a way Demeter and Munkustrap never could. either way, a while after Tugger's birth Demeter met Macavity outside the junkyard, and not too long after she too left, to be with Macavity full time. while she's gone Tugger grows up, Munkustrap has a kitten (her name is Rumpleteazer) and when Demeter returns she does so with a kitten, Jemima, and about that point is where the ball we see starts

i keep thinking about the police officer calling dennis a “cool guy” and then asking about his whereabouts to dee, at the very end of the “the aluminum monster vs fatty magoo” episode. has anyone else outside of the gang ever called dennis cool? i genuinely cant remember but the guy genuinely seemed interested about him, dee, and ingrid.

My only published fic for this show is The King's Promise/Nightmare In Red. It's an add-on to the episode 'Black Rhino', and based on a nightmare I had after watching it. So, that's a lot! Anyway!

As the post said, I do have thirty WIPs for this show, which are currently dormant but may come back to life one day. As the game demands, here are some of the 'non-descriptive or ridiculous' titles:

THE THING IS!!! the thing is that it's the fact that silver springs was mean to be on the rumours album and stevie was so proud of it, and also wanted to give the publishing rights to her mom as a gift, but pretty last minute they cut it because it was too long (only so much you can put on vinyl) and i think if i remember correctly mick informed her of this in a parking lot!! so of course she was rightfully fucking mad. they did put it as a b-side on the 'go your own way' single, but so instead of silver springs being a main 'rumours' song it became kind of a deep-cut and kind of forgotten.

so then 20 years later (1997) they do 'the dance' which is the first album in ten years with both lindsey and stevie and it's mostly the popular hits. but also silver springs (i've reblogged this song so many times already i assume everyone has seen this performance but if you haven't watch it!!!!). but so stevie gets to sing this song she wrote twenty years ago about their breakup right into his face and it's a fucking prophecy that came true!!!! he never got away from the sound of the woman that loved him!!!!!!!!!! cause here they are 20 years later and she's singing this song she wrote fresh out of their breakup decades ago At him with a look that should incinerate any mortal man. like PLEASE i'll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you!!!!! she said that this was about the fact that he would hear her on the radio for the rest of his life ("and it will bug you. i hope it bugs you" !!!!!!!!) but not only that they're here still performing together!!!!!!!! they never got away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if i ever want to feel anything i watch that video it's the most powerful thing in the world to me. . anyway.

as others have pointed out, undertale yellow’s main character designs are nice in their own right but feel more like someone’s fursona than ut designs (not that there isn’t a strong overlap between ut designs and furries). but funnily enough they Do feel like deltarune dark world transformations.

so deltarune’s main characters and even a lot of the people in hometown are a bit more on the humanoid side compared to undertale. the main female characters all have hair unlike in undertale where only undyne did, and even then her ponytail seems like it’s meant to resemble a fish fin. this is why people thought susie was a horse. and not only are uty’s designs consistently more tall and humanoid but martlet and especially ceroba are the only main ones to have hair.

their outfits would fit into undertale okay I guess. but, you know what the vampire/cowboy/shrine maiden aesthetics feel even more like? yassified fantasy dark world transformations.
