'Cillian Murphy is riding high on the success of Oppenheimer but before he gathered praise for portraying the titular scientist in Christopher Nolan’s WWII thriller, he was celebrated by fans for playing the Tommy Shelby, the World War I vet turned into leader of Peaky Blinders. The period crime drama created by Steven Knight had a successful six-season run and went out on a high note in 2022, but its impact on fans and pop culture lives on.
Funko is celebrating the fan-favorite show with a new line of Peaky Blinder Pops! The collection offers a figure of all the gangs’ senior members and other notable characters, taking on the likeness of their respective actors. The line includes two variations for Tommy along with figures for Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson), John Shelby (Joe Cole), Ada Thorne (Sophie Rundle), Alfie Solomons (Tom Hardy), Michael Gray (Finn Cole), and Polly (late Helen McCrory). All the Pop! figures are available to pre-order and will arrive next month.
The Legacy of Peaky Blinders
Set in Birmingham in the post-WWI era, Peaky Blinders follows the exploits of the criminal gang, which is loosely based on a real youth gang of the same name who were active in the city between the 1880s to the 1910s. The unparalleled success of the show left an impression not only on pop culture but fans and critics alike. Throughout its run, the show won numerous awards for its direction, story, performances and production design, and also propelled Murphy to global fame. A proposed spin-off movie has been in the talks but there is currently no confirmation or production update. Both Murphy and creator Knight have shown interest in continuing the story of the Shelby family.
Along with the aforementioned cast the series also cast Annabelle Wallis as Grace Shelby, Iddo Goldberg as Freddie Thorne, Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Natasha O'Keeffe as Lizzie Shelby along with Sam Neill, Charlotte Riley, Paddy Considine, Adrien Brody, Aidan Gillen, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sam Claflin, Amber Anderson, James Frecheville, and Stephen Graham across the six seasons.
All seasons of Peaky Blinders are available on Netflix...'

So I have a Life is Strange theory and I know I'm probably not saying anything that hasn't already been said before, but I feel the need to ramble about it because MMMMMMMMMMM. Major spoilers for Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
My theory: Rachel had powers, too.
That's definitely been said before. I know I've seen people talk about it both on here and on other sites. When she kicks over the flaming trashcan, a HUGE gust of wind blows from behind her and turns this relatively small flame into a huge forest fire. The fire goes out when she disappears. I've seen people debate whether this is a power related to the wind, or fire itself, but I personally think that her power encompasses all of nature. Which leads me to the second part of my theory.
Not only does Rachel have powers, ones that are related to nature, but she quite literally is the storm that wipes out Arcadia Bay. And the deer that follows Max around through most of the first game, and the butterfly.
Now PLEASE hear me out on this.
Max Caulfield suddenly gains the ability to control time seemingly out of no where, conveniently right in time to save Chloe Price from being shot to her death in the Blackwell bathroom. She's also been getting premonitions of a catastrophic impending tornado seeming headed straight for Arcadia Bay. And, to top it all off, she sees a doe all around the town that seems to follow her and make direct eye contact with her on several occasions, that only disappears when her and Chloe finally locate Rachel's body. Do you wanna know where Max saw the doe in the junkyard, the very first time she's seen it outside of her foreboding nightmares about the storm? Right next to where Rachel is buried. What's in the bathroom that gives Max a convenient hiding place to witness Chloe's death so she can reverse it? The butterfly.
At each turn Max takes, there is some sort of natural occurrence or creature guiding her path, leading her not only to the clues that solve Rachel's disappearance, but also to saving Chloe's life time and time again. She's then faced with a choice: sacrifice her hometown, or sacrifice her best friend.
Despite being given a choice, it's my firm belief that Rachel wants us to sacrifice the town. The very first thing Max's power is used for is to save Chloe, which she was all but put on a leash and led to by numerous strange occurrences that all seem to link back to Rachel Amber. Rachel wants two things: for her story to be told, and for Chloe to be safe. And she knows the only way to ensure both of those things happen is through Max Caulfield, Chloe's long-term best friend since childhood. She also knows that Chloe and Arcadia Bay do not mix, and cannot coexist. If Chloe lives, Rachel will not let Arcadia Bay stand knowing all the pain this town has caused not only herself, but Chloe. If Chloe is dead, there's nothing for her to protect. And it's all up to Max to decide if Chloe is worth that sacrifice. She's gotten what she wanted for herself, for her story to be revealed. That's why the doe disappears after they find her corpse. The only thing that's left is ensuring nothing can ever hurt Chloe again, not even herself.
Once Arcadia Bay is in ruins and Chloe is safely out of town, the storm stops. Peace has been restored and Rachel can finally rest.
And, finally, my third part of this theory:
Rachel is the reason anyone in the continued Life is Strange series has powers in the first place.
Life is Strange 2 picks up a story that seems completely unconnected from the story of Rachel, Max and Chloe. It follows two completely different characters, Sean and Daniel, in a different state. Life is Strange: True Colors follows Alex Chen, also in another town. This seems like it couldn't possibly tie back to the original story but JUST YOU WAIT, DEAR READER. In LIS2, Sean and Brody quite literally have a heart to heart while overlooking the ruins of Arcadia Bay. In LIS:TC, Alex meets Steph Gingrich, a character who was featured in LIS:BTS and is canonically from Arcadia Bay. No matter how minor the connection is, each Life is Strange game up until this point has somehow referenced or tied back to the story of Rachel Amber, and by proxy the story of Max and Chloe.
Each character who gains powers have something in common, as well. They all have something, or someone, important to protect. The same way Rachel, and Max, protected Chloe. Rachel's influence is still felt throughout the United States, all because she wanted to protect all that was important to her and destroy anything that dared to underestimate her.
The true story of Life is Strange can only be told if you sacrifice Arcadia Bay, and that story didn't start with Max Caulfield. It started with Rachel Amber.

How to Request :
Make sure to state what you would like in the imagine/story and what genre (?) Like angst, fluff, smut (sometimes). Also what character or person you would want in the imagine. 🙃
*Disclaimer*
I write for all of these characters and their actors and if you have someone else you would want me to write for be sure to put that in your request these are just the characters I could think of off the top of my head
P.S. I also do some ship imagines like Nick x Charlie (heartstopper), etc. So if you want ship imagines be sure to send them in and I will try and get to them.
penny is not in nick robertson's girlfriend (emma)'s story. the brunettes in it are joel edmundson's girlfriend (ebony) and max domi's girlfriend (estelle) + the blondes are steph marner, amber brodie + simon benoit's girlfriend (alice). penny and willy have been broken up for like a year and a half
yeah there's been lots of rumors going around about him and some brunette girl so i think that's why ppl were wondering. ty for confirming anons!
hey cat & mouse! could you please help me find an alternative to paris hilton for her character amber sweet? i'm not looking for a traditional actress because i find that their everyday looks are a bit too "plain" for amber. i want to lean into more "alternative" looks for her. for example, rhea ripley is currently on the list as a possibility, but i'd like to have more choices to pick from. the only thing, looks wise, that i require is blue eyes. the age range that i'm looking for is mid 20s to early 30s ( 25-32 ) since amber is supposed to be around 21-22 around the events of repo. thank you so much for your time and all of the work that you do! i greatly appreciate it.
Tobey Torres (1972) - younger resources!
Brody Dalle (1979) - younger resources!
Alice Glass (1988)
Penelope Ford (1992) - esp when she wears her heavy and alt makeup.
Abadon (1992) - I believe her natural eyes are blue but she always wears contacts, regardless the very alt vibe is there.
Taylor Momsen (1993)
Heather Baron-Gracie (1995)
Ruth Codd (1996) - is an amputee.
Alva Bratt (1998) - maybe her role in Kronprinsen som försvann at a push?
Julia Hart (2001) - younger but can match Repo's time line.
Hey anon! I'm frustrated that the blue eyes stumped me so much??? I even looked through all my beloved goth bands and they're all dark-eyed. 😠😠😠😠

hiii gracie !! i’m not black either, however i still have some small details i think would fit a black reader <3
1. blushing - poc don’t really blush in the conventional sense i believe ! so instead of saying “her cheeks turned red” or something along those lines, instead you can describe the emotions behind the blushing. maybe she giggles when she’s flustered ? her skin gets warmer ?
2. hair - this one you mentioned as well ! i think often in fics i’ve seen like “coils”, “locks”, “threads” and quite a few more ! there are also certain accessories and such that poc use, like bonnets !
3. skin - i’ve heard a lot about how people of color don’t like their skin being compared w food. like instead of saying a “caramel skin” (horrible example m sorry) instead you can go w amber !
sincerely
sv5 nonnie 💓
SV5!!! I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN SO LONG BRODIE GLAD TO SEE YOU AGAIN :))) HOPE YOU'RE WELL <333
And heheh look at us, the two girlies that aren't black discussing how to write for a black!fem!reader lol
That being said, what you've said is helpful nonetheless
I've become more wary of the blush thing in writing recently, mentioning stuff like "her cheeks darkened" bc idk whether the blood rush does still show on dark skin, just not as pink...
And hair yep we've discussed, but giving context to the style is nice + yessss ty for reminding, the bonnet is acc smth that could be a part of this fic tbf since it's sorta a nighttime setting for it
And skin being described as foods being smth people disliked is one I hadn't thought of before! I often use adjective "milky" to describe skin tone which i suppose is sorta food-oriented, but I have also seen caramel, olive, chocolate all used to describe darker skintones. I feel as though chocolate is so flatteringly onomatopoeic though, like, the "ch" sound gives it such a rich and sorta sibillant-sorta-not sound which just focusses and makes it sound so like distinguished, ykwim???
That being said, I will possibly stay away from using foods to describe skintones then... I do wonder whether sometimes just describing skin as "black" comes across as very blunt and j sort of making the actual colour a focal point, rather than decorating n making it sound more poetic n decorated - like how I'd use chocolate to give that rich n distinguished n beautiful sound - so yeah, tbf i might make a poll out of that bc I'd love to see how ppl fr feel ab that
(yes lol im separating white people from answering this bc writing for a black!fem!reader, i do sorta care more ab how the coloured girlies they feel ab this, given it's their skintone that's described this way)
A/N: I wanted to do a vampire AU. That's the context.

My dear friend Chase,
May this letter find you in well health. I have discovered quite a fascinating place here in this sleepy town north of London. I do hope you will have time to come and look at it with me. The address is attached in a separate note in the envelope.
I do hope to see you soon,
Your friend Robert.
Charles Brody stood before the driveway to a grand castle, suitcase in one hand and letter in the other. His hat was balanced quite cleanly on top of his head and his suit was buttoned up with the utmost care.
He had heard tale of this castle, stories of people who had gone inside but never returned, and he shuddered as he thought of his explorer friend falling prey to whatever resided inside those tall stone walls.
“What have you gotten yourself into this time, Robert?” Chase muttered as he squared his shoulders and cleared his throat, taking a step forward and letting momentum propel him up the drive to the castle doors.
The doors were wooden, intricately carved with flourishing gothic patterns of shapes and lines, centring around two brass door knockers, carefully shaped to form twin crescent moons, points seeming almost too sharp to be safe.
Chase set his suitcase down gently on the concrete floor, looking up at the imposing doors before swallowing and lifting his shaking hand to grasp the knocker, pulling it backward before pushing forward to knock the door.
The sound of the knock echoed through the castle walls, and Chase quickly dropped his hand to his side as though he’d been burned. The walls were so thick that he couldn’t hear anything inside, left to stand awkwardly and anxiously as he waited for someone to open the doors that towered over him.
After what felt like ages, a thump was heard beyond the doors before one creaked open slowly. Chase straightened up, adjusting his tie and smoothing his jacket over his form. A pale person peered out, glaring down at Chase with suspicious eyes.
“Yes?” Their voice was deep, almost booming as they continued to stare at Chase, who suddenly seemed to have forgotten how to speak.
“Yes, um, hello. My name…. my name is Charles Brody… my friend sent me a letter requesting my presence here?” his voice was higher in pitch than usual, but at least it was relatively steady. He held out Robert’s letter with a shaky hand, tensing as the doorman plucked the paper from his fingers.
“You may enter,” the person stated, opening the door wider to allow Chase to enter. Chase picked up his suitcase and hesitantly entered the castle, closing his eyes as he heard the door close behind him. Taking a deep breath, Chase exhaled slowly and opened his eyes to take in his surroundings… only to gasp in surprise.
The entryway of the castle was as grand as the doors, with large burgundy tapestries hanging up the walls on both sides, mysterious stories woven in their intricate fabric. Tall brass candelabra were placed either side of the door, dark wax candles lit to cast an amber glow to the entryway.
The ceiling was a latticework of sturdy metal beams and old wooden planks, curving to a point just above Chase’s head. Hanging from the ceiling were small pans with simple oil lamps placed on them, warming the room with a brighter hue.
Chase looked in front of him to see a grander door, held open for him by the doorman, who had been patiently waiting for him to recover from his sightseeing. Beyond the door Chase could see a long red carpet lining the floors to the grand hall, and the flickering lights of the candles on the candelabra cast eerie shadows on the designs of the carpet.
“I shall let Sir know you are here,” the doorman stated with a bow once Chase had entered the hall. Without another word, the doorman headed up the west staircase and disappeared onto the second floor, leaving Chase to absorb the hall.
Eerie portraits hung on the tall stone walls, the faces staring at him and causing a shiver to run down his spine. As well as the candelabra, there were large iron chandeliers hanging from several points on the ceiling, candle wax prevented from dripping by brass plates beneath the candles.
The flagstones were muted by the carpet, large armchairs placed along the edges of the running red beside doors that Chase had no idea of their destination. He ran a finger along the seam of a chair, surprised at the lack of dust on the fabric, then continued pacing forward, occasionally looking back at the twin sets of curved staircases on the sides of the room to make sure that ‘Sir’ wasn’t coming down yet.
As Chase got to the door at the end of the hall – probably to the main dining room or a sitting room – he paused, hand reaching for the intricately moulded doorknob. He could hear the soft sound of steps descending, an itch settling between his shoulder blade as something told him that he was in danger. The hand reaching for the door dropped to his side, curling around the handle of his dagger as he turned to meet the owner of the castle.
“Hello, Charles.” The voice curled around his name, spoken with the trained carefulness that made Chase want to punch something. He looked at the foot of the stairs to see a man not much older than him wearing a blue waistcoat and top hat, pale hand gently holding the banister as he flashed a polite smile at his visitor.
Even from the other side of the hall, Chase could see the sharp points where his canines developed into fangs, and that made his grip all the tighter on his dagger. He swallowed thickly as the hairs on his neck stood on end, a terrible realisation settling like ice in the pit of his stomach.
Robert had walked into a vampire’s castle… and now Chase had, too.

"There is no pain so great as the memory of joy in present grief." - Aeschylus
It didn't happen all at once. First, it came as a haze. Colors slowly became vibrant again and had meaning. She could start to feel physical touch. She could feel warmth. She could recognize what was in front of her. Amber and brown. Warmth. Wet.
As Mackenzie looked down at her hands, she recognized blood. And when the word registered, she realized blood belonged to living, breathing beings. Something she no longer was, but there had only been one other person in the apartment with her. A...a man. His name. What was his name? It started with a B...Brody. Brody was a man. Red was a color and wet. Warmth associated with that color was blood.
As she slowly raised her head, she noticed more blood spread around the room. It was on the walls. On the floors. On the furniture. And when she turned herself just a little more, it was on him.
Like a toddler learning to travel, Mackenzie crawled towards the man. While she still couldn't register his significance, she knew that what she was crawling through, what she was surrounded by had come from him. How could one person have so much blood in them?
The smell was faint. Like metal. Something she could vaguely recall. Copper. But not overwhelming like the sight she was seeing.
Moving closer, as she looked around the room, she saw flowers. Yellow daisies stained red and crushed. Petals laying throughout the living room and kitchen area. Her favorite flower. A memory! Running through a field of daisies gripping a man's hand tightly, laughing as they fell into the grass which turned into the soft touch of lips meeting.
She could see his clothes. Stained, but somehow familiar to her. A band t-shirt. Another name that she knew, but a faint sound came to mind, before becoming louder. Music, she recognized the music of the band on the shirt and standing next to her seeing this band was that same man smiling, his head bobbing up and down to the beat!
As she inched closer, her hand brushed up against his on accident, touching something. Eyes dropping to the object, she noticed a ring. Love. She felt love. She felt water coming to the brims of her eyes. And without thinking, she instinctively put blood stained fingers on her cheeks feeling tears running down her face. "Uh, yeah!!! Of course I'll freakin' marry you!!!" The same man jumping up from bended knee wrapping her in his arms, both of them crying tears of happiness.
Just a little closer, her eyes slowly traveling from his chest up his neck to his chin and then to his eyes. The same eyes Mackenzie slowly began to remember looking into years ago, when they had first met as children. Brown, inviting, soft, warm. Happy, sad, mournful when his mother had died. Relieved when he saw the love of his life was alive and safe after her accident. Sorry, hopeful, broken. Joyful. Alive.
But now different.
Hollow. Empty. Gone.
Mackenzie scooted closer as a soft moan escaped her lips. Her jaw slack, but quivering. Disbelief filling her own hazel eyes. Tears, despite barely being alive coming harder and faster, "B-Brody?" She gently touched his cheek as if afraid she was going to disturb him, or worse, hurt him. "Oh no, no, no...Brody? Please, God. No..."
-----
"Surprise! I thought I'd fly out and see you. Spend the rest of the week here and fly back with you when the movie wrapped."
She stumbled forward almost falling into his arms.
"Babe, you okay?"
She could hear his heart beating. Could already taste him. And with one final glance into his eyes, barely registering who he was to her, she shoved him back towards the kitchen. The fight didn't take long. Her insatiable need to feed overpowered any effort he made to keep her off of him.
Tearing skin and sending spatter across the room and onto the surrounding areas, she did anything she could to slow him down.
Finally, grabbing him by the head, she repeatedly slammed it into the ground, until eventually any fight left in him was gone. With just enough of an access into his shattered skull, she began digging out what she had needed to survive as the life left his brown, inviting, soft, warm eyes.
-----
Mackenzie scooted against the cabinets pulling Brody up into her lap, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." There was no one else around to blame. It was just her, covered in a brown, slowly cooling, wet substance gently rocking him back and forth, steak burning on the stove and their favorite band playing quietly in the background.
All the memories of who he was and the life he lived alone and with her, came rushing back sending a firm jolt of pain to her barely beating heart.
Letting her hand gently rub his head, she stared down into his blank, cold gaze repeating the words, "I love you." until her throat was raw and she had no more tears left in her body to cry.
"I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you..."
