Yknow, I'm genuinely surprised there hasn't been some sort of weird horror/adult adaptation of The Magic Tree House.

Like, an It style thing. And I don't know why that surprises me. The books weren't particularly scary, and I don't know if I ever read the origins book, so I don't know how it ended up there or why those kids are there in it all the time.

But it's still really weird to me. Like, it feels like the perfect recipe for some sort of weird, dystopian horror. An isekai horror, if you will. These two early-to-mid teenagers getting shoved into the past or future or different dimension or however you have it. And they need to get home or whatever.

I can’t believe the writers had the audacity to downright lie to me over the reason Mrs. M and Bunty left Kembleford. We all know full well that what actually must have happened was that they took one look at the absolute trash doll representations of themselves of the miniature village, and rightly concluded that there was no way they were going to be associated with those abominations, and caught the next train out of town.

I swore I made a post about it, I know I was discussing it with the co-conspirator at some point.

But like.

I want to draw Gymrat!Remus to be a bit more apple-shaped and chunky/thick, than I have been. In part thanks to the mean figure folks with PCOS kinda run toward statistically speaking. And I like to make that AU reasonably medically accurate.

But also. Brain is throwing the image of Remus resting his funbags on a desk/table/whatever and burying his face in them. May or may not just straight up motorboat himself out of sheer boredom (and probably exhaustion).
