Just imagine It had been a long day. A long week even, and Raph was was feeling drained.

He glanced at the city that never slept below him as he lurked in the protective shadows from his position on the roof. The pulsing city lights and the intense scents of food vendors, car exhaust and just that oh so “homey” NYC street stench wafted around him like a pungent punch to his senses. Usually he loved sitting up here and watching the hustle bustle of just a normal crazy NYC night, but for whatever reason, it all just seemed like too much today. Everything seemed too much of late.

He let out a heavy sigh, his shoulders dropping with the action, and ran a weary hand down his face.

Raph was tired. Tired of holding it in, holding it back and just tired holding it together when once again the overwhelming feeling of everything felt like it was falling apart. All he wanted was just a little peace and quiet, a warm place to safely break down. Somewhere he could rest before having to pick up all the pieces, face this cold heavy world and do it all over again. Unbidden, your face came to mind as it often did when he was left alone with his musings. Your soft smile, the one that caused that little twinkle and the wrinkles at the corner of your eyes, beckoned to him.

And all at once Raph was hit with a moment of clarity. He didn’t have to hold it all together.

What Raph needed right now was to hold you.

Just imagine His heart thumping at a thundering pace, each beat echoing with your name as Raph raced along the rooftops at a dizzying speed. Raph jumping from building to building, ninja skills fueled by the heady thought of having you in his arms again. Just imagine

Raph finally making it to your building and climbing through his signature window without even a second thought. By muscle memory alone, Raph traced his path through the apartment towards you, not even needing to think. This was home, you were his home.

And he’d always find a way back to you.

Imagine

Raph finding you in the kitchen and without hesitation, stepping up behind you. Gently sliding his arms around your waist, and pulling you back flush up against the rough keratin of his plastron.

Silencing your squeak of surprise by pressing his beak to the nape of your neck underneath your hair where your scent was the most potent. Relishing in said scent, and felt it work it’s magic as his pounding heart rate began to slow.  Tightening his arms around you in a protective embrace. Whether for your security or for his, he didn’t know. What he did know was that he needed you in his arms, right now.

Needing the peace and warm that he could only associate with you when you were close to him like this. Just needing you. Just imagine

Raph slow dancing with you in the lowlight of the kitchen.

Raph turning you to face him, wanting, no needing to see that smile that had been haunting his thoughts that night. A slow almost hesitant finger coming up to stroke the curve of your beginning to pink cheek. An almost relieved sigh when you leaned into his touch with curious eyes. A tenderly aware hand sliding from your waist to the small of your back and pulling you further into his embrace to rest against his chest. Gently rubbing said hand in a slow rhythm up and down the notches of your spine and shoulders as the other hand gently wrapped around yours. Holding it in a soft fist close to his heart as he began to dance with you in his arms.

Well, it wouldn’t be much of a dance per se; your kitchen really wasn’t equipped to hold the giant turtle. So it was more of a small shuffle as Raph gently led you around the perimeter in small circles as he swayed back and forth with you held snug in his arms. There was no snarky trash talk, or signature playful joshing around. Just Raph resting his cheek against the top of your head, his slow breaths puffing against your hair. The sensation would tickle a little bit and make you shiver slightly. The movement would cause Raph to peak down at you with a fond smile quirking the corner of his lips. Prompting him to instinctively pull you closer, making sure to nestle your head under his chin so you could rest over his beating heart. Raph using the beat of said heart to set the rhythm of his sways as he whispers these lyrics in your ear

Raph wanting nothing more in this moment than to be soft with you. Going against his baser instincts and just wanting you close. He just likes these small moments where he can let down his guard and drop all the weight of the world and just be soft.

the rock of the group deserves to have some small time sometimes. what more can i say? rocks can crack too, specially ninja rocks (。-`ω-)ｰ

stress regressor, 100%. he rushes to be the responsible one of the team whenever something goes wrong, worries himself sick over mistakes, pushes himself to make up for them no matter what bc if he doesn't something could go wrong again and someone could get hurt and then his friends won't like him anymore– and all that weight on his shoulders is rough

all of the ninja r his caregivers to some capacity. every single one. all of them r strong too – kinda comes w being elemental masters / ninja n all – so they can carry him whenever they want <33 cole loves it too, they're so cozy (o^∀^o)

i don't think wu or misako know directly, but if cole ever told / regressed around them, they wouldn't be v surprised – like they know smth is up, but they won't confront him bc that's his business

lots of ppl hc cole having a kindergarten to middle / teen regressor headspace & that's SO big-brained, i eat it up every time – BUT baby cole my sweet sweet boy. infant ages to like 2yrs old. give him a rattle; he likes rattles kenwkdek

the eepiest baby ever, partially bc of how young his headspace is, partially bc he's the master of earth – it takes up a lot of his energy when he's big, but since he's so used to it, it doesn't rlly register how wiped he actually is until he's sitting down, his brain is whirling to a stop ... & then it's like “mmnn woa m eepy..” hes also very prone to regressing when he's tired; doesn't happen all the time, but it's become more often than not

on that note, he can fall asleep p much anywhere: on the couch, on the floor, over a bowl of cereal, literally anywhere. his favorite places (aside from his bed) r his friends' laps <3 he's being held? out like a light

that earth master strength Does Not magically go away when cole is small, meaning his tantrums could cost them a wall & possibly new flooring. not that he has tantrums often bc he's v chill & low-energy!

OOUHEJSH loves bears sooooo much it's almost silly. he's got a black bear onesie w ears on the hood, a tiny tail on the butt, & a dark brown teddy bear to match - his fave. "we bare bears" & "little bear" are his go-to shows. he can devour a box of teddy grahams in two sittings. glamrock freddy his absolute beloved. bears bears BEARS bears bears!!!!

speaking of — jay is older than cole by a few years (maybe 4-7?), so he's consistently playing the older playmate / big brother role for cole. YES he will absolutely drag the baby into mischief, but if anyone dares to try separating them he IS throwing a fit about it. also he's the only one who can turn a laid-back baby cole into a zoomin 2y/o. watch out for them.../silly

back to the rattle thing for a sec – jay has a toy drumset & nya has a toy guitar, so the three of them put on a music show for the rest of the team! they're always asked for encores & they always deliver! their band name is The Mudshockers & kai is their biggest fan👍🏾

he likes dancing but since he's unsteady on his feet the younger he is, sometimes he'll just sway his body o, bop his head, or shake his rattle to whatever beat there is – even if said beat is just in his head. other times he'll get nya or zane to dance with him when he's able to stand!

omigosh wait ,,,, zane picking cole up & bouncing him to the beat ,,,, im gonna MELT they're so cute 🥹

cole adores fuzzy / fluffy material. his element requires him to summon rocks from the ground, & rocks are hard - he deserves some soft things in his life ( =^×^= )/ᰔᩚ if any of the ninja have something visibly fluffy in his presence, they'll very quickly have a small in their lap, nuzzling them & humming contentedly. muffin & his bear onesie r his favorites because of that!

ALSO remember the casual outfit he wore in "child's play" (the ep where the ninja got turned into kids)? he managed to find the adult-sized sweatshirt of that shirt & it's now a staple regression outfit ... whenever he's not in his onesie

he's still got a MASSIVE sweet tooth, bc who would cole be w/o it? (/j) ,, the only difference is that, instead of it manifesting in “oooo chocolate cake & cookies & ice cream!!!” it manifests as “mmm baba w sugar n hunny.....” – not to say cole doesn't have his moments where he craves a cakepop over warm chocolate milk. zane usually is in charge of preparing his bottle bc he always gets it juuuust right

THE NINJA HAVE A BABY BAG IN CASE HE DROPS ON LONGER MISSIONS AAAAA ,,, cole's a lil embarrassed @ first & fervently insists that he won't be regressing on the mission, but it proves to be incredibly useful when he gets hungry in the middle of like, nowhere & there's a section completely dedicated to snacks & drinks

jay can never escape being called a dingus no matter what. baby cole catches him doing something stupid? “ ‘ingus...”. a joke too corny for his taste? “ ’inguuus.” jay complains abt this unfair treatment, how he's being bullied by a baby & he is slandering him ... but no one comes to his aid. zane'll scoop up cole & say “hm, are you sure that was an unprovoked statement on his part?” while kai will just spout nonsense like “wooooow jay ... a power outage in ninjago city and bordering countries?” by your hands?” w/ lloyd n nya just shaking their heads. jay's like “GAAAAAAAASP, NOBODY is on my side??? coco is being a BULLY & you guys are just ALLOWING it???? i see how it is.......”. cole's laughing hysterically throughout all of this 🫶

honestly jay's the funniest person to cole when he's small. he could be being Himself & cole's losing his mind over it. nobody can compete against his hilarity no matter how hard they try. best way to tell when cole's dropping is if he's laughing way harder at one of jay's stupid jokes /silly

he doesn't have any of those fancy deco pacis bc hes v prone to dropping them in his sleep & doesn't wanna mess them up, so he gets the printed designed ones or the plain-colored ones & slaps some stickers on them :] he rlly likes his black-stickered paci but he's not picky!

lloyd loves joking abt how he's no longer the youngest on the team whenever cole drops. he'll walk into the room & say “guys, i'm not the youngest anymore!” without warning while cole's in his arms, half asleep w a paci

sometimes he feels like he shouldn't be regressing bc of his status as "the rock of the group" & gets hit with an influx of negative thoughts. like – he's their anchor, their strength, the glue that holds everyone together when things go south ... so what is he doing regressing of all things? if they don't have a rock, the team won't make it! all of that negativity :( hes prone to pushing down his regression & busies himself w other things until he just ... breaks. wooo :((

after day of the departed (read: cole gets his physical body back), he literally launches himself into his friends & snuggles them like there's no tomorrow in sight. for a good two weeks he's the clingiest baby boy to ever exist: holding everyone's hands, leaning against the nearest person, cuddling, sleepy cuddling – the most common occurrence bc sleepy cole is sleepy. GOODNESS hes so clingy!! if he's in the right (or ig wrong) mood he gets fussy if his human pillow moves away from him kdnfoendk. nobody minds at all; they got their baby boy back & that's all that matters <3

self-indulgent pkmn au hc: cole's midnight lycanroc may look scary (...and kind of is hssjskdje), but it's soooo sweet & gentle with him omg. it has special mittens it puts on its paws to keep from accidentally hurting him w its claws & 100% will help zane make a bottle or lloyd prepare a snack. the fur on its neck is mad fluffy - there have been many, many times someone's walked in on cole with his face stuffed in lycanroc's fur, fast asleep on its back while roc's layin there with him, tail slowly awag <3

She peeks around the door, a sheepish smile and an apologetic gaze evident on her face. Then her eyes lock with his, and that's when the guilt settles in—she visibly winces, a little nervous laugh escaping her lips as she takes a full step inside, hands behind her back. "Uh... Surprise?"

In awkward attempt at smoothing the atmosphere, she brandishes a little box of freshly-baked muffins, jazz hands to emphasize her little makeshift gift. "Haha, look! IIII made... Muffins!!"

It's the audacity of her to suddenly come back, she thinks to herself wryly, that makes this more awkward than it should've been. But that's what she gets for missing several of her appointments consecutively. Not even her token of apology could excuse her for it. The unread reminder messages on her phone spoke volumes.

If there was one thing about being a doctor Greyson never could wrap his head around, it was the Patient Audacity.

"Hmm? Did we have an appointment?" He knows exactly who she is of course, but that won't stop him from looking through his schedule and feigning confusion, shaking his head in an apparent act of dismay.

"Nope. Can't seem to find anyone under the name of 'missed 5 appointments in a row yet kept rescheduling them for some unknown reason even though she had no intention of showing up'. I'll have to ask Yvonne how on earth we could have mixed that up."

Was it a little harsh? Maybe, but it wasn't hard to see the smile fighting at the edges of his mouth and the dimples that gave him away far before anything else. This was pretty excessive even for her, yes.... but also, muffins? And the jazz hands were a nice touch.

"The muffins are appreciated, but you still have to make it through the whole exam before you get the gold star sticker, Roxie." His teasing tone has a bit of bite, but his expression is as soft as ever. "Now come sit before you really do miss a 6th appointment."

Mumbo and Grian are the best sewers on the server. However, they've been making their own 'zoo' for little Scar! They sew mobs in Minecraft, like Scar's beloved 'farmyard friend' and even hostiles ones so Scar isn't scared of them as much. Never Zombies though.

Yeah! Each of the little mobs they sew has a little heart stitched somewhere. Some mobs have it in their palm, some have it on their torso somewhere, some on their legs, etc.

Scar always likes finding the lil heart for the first time each time! He excitedly shows them the heart when he finds it!

Also little scar is definitely afraid of zombies, except for one particular zombie. Cleo.

At one point Cleo was the only person around when Scar slipped and got really upset and Cleo couldn't just leave him. Scar was really afraid at first but Cleo managed to calm him down and show the little guy that he doesn't have to be afraid of them.

Scar then got really attached to Cleo, even calling her "mama" at some point.

Cleo is the only zombie scar tolerates when little and the only zombie that doesn't make him upset. She actually brings him a lot of comfort!

Yuu suddenly jolts, gasping as though they were surfacing from a deep underwater dive. Still on their side, their eyes take in familiar faces that look so unusual with their open or slightly hidden relief. Yuu wasn't surprised by emotional people like Kalim, but for people who didn't usually wear their heart on their sleeves--like Leona, who somehow seemed soft despite his nonchalant air--it was. . . weird. "Guys?" they croak, their throat feeling like sandpaper.

They became concerned when some of the faces scrunched up like they would cry. "Henchman, you're awake!" Grim's voice is thick, congested. As he rambles about keeping a better eye on them and taking better care of them, Yuu remembers bits and pieces of what happened before.

Phantom screams that make their throat ache just from the memory of it. A hulking, angry entity hovering over them like both an invisible burden and a stalwart guardian, screaming with them and leaping over their head to attack whoever it wanted. Whoever they set their eyes on.

"Oh, god," they whisper. "I-I tried to kill you."

They cannot stop the tears from leaking, cannot stop their shoulders from shaking as they cry. A warm hand pats their back to comfort them and their teddy bear wipes away the tears. "I'm sorry."

"It was a lot more challenging than the other Overblots, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle," Jack says.

"And we're Night Raven students. It's going to take more than that to take us down," Epel says assuringly.

"Besides, they had me to deal the bigger blows!" Grim boasts.

"Like you're one to talk," Ace scoffs. "We had distract the Overblot monster away from you and the teddy bear because you two rushed in without thinking!"

Maybe it was from hearing familiar bickering, but Yuu let out an airy chuckle. "Hey, what are you laughing for?" Ace complains without much irritation.

Yuu takes a breath to answer, but suddenly coughs. It worsens into hacking, and multiple hands lift and move them so their face is a few inches from the floor. A hand hits their back and a wad of ink splotches onto the ground. There are shudders among the rescue team; others grimace or gag and look away. The ones holding Yuu up tighten their hold, probably to make sure they don't accidentally drop them or to keep themselves grounded, but it kind of hurts. Yuu couldn't tell them, though, not with how difficult it was to get air into their lungs.

Eventually, Yuu began breathing steadily and quietly. If they were tired before, they were exhausted now. They feel themself being laid back down on the floor, their head coming to rest on someone's lap. If this was any other situation, they would have stiffened from the intimacy. They weren't averse to hugging and other physical affection: soft gestures like these were just far and in between in the overall student body, so they weren't used to this so suddenly.

A thumb tries to wipe the ink from their mouth, only to be replaced by a soft fabric. A warm hand rubs their arm and they feel a paw rest on their head. It was all so comforting and warm and Yuu felt as though they could finally fall asleep, knowing they were safe--it made them want to cry again.

"Yuu, try to stay awake. The medics are on their way," Jamil says. During Yuu's coughing fit, Cater realized he had signal and Idia found he could pinpoint where they all were on the map.

"It was terrible," Yuu says hoarsely. They lift their eyes, red and teary, and stare intensely at him. "It was so awful. Nothing could make it go away. I'm sorry you and the others had to go through that."

"Through what?"

"Overblot. It was painful." He doesn't say anything. He can't speak for the other Overblot survivors, but in his experience, the pain only happened in the beginning, briefly. The best way he could liken it to was a pot of milk suddenly boiling over on the stove, the heat increasing tick by tick each year until it reached a disastrous point. It scalded him inside and out during the transformation, but after that, there was only the rushing, addicting feeling of power.

For someone like Yuu, it probably just scalded them even though the residual magic clinging onto their body was used as fuel.

"It's over now, Yuu. There's nothing you need to worry about. The medics are on their way," Kalim says softly.

"It's soon, right?" Grim asks.

"Well, sort of. They're coming as fast as they can since we're in a forest and all, but the Magical Forces are on their way," Cater answers.

"Hey, Yuu! Don't close your eyes," Jamil almost yells. The Ramshackle Prefect only murmurs an apology and that they were so tired. Cater asks the dispatcher with thinly veiled worry what to do if the Overblotter passes out. As he listens, he turns away from Yuu so he doesn't show his mounting panic. The others have started to get restless too, fidgeting or starting to pace.

"Tsk. Silver, help me move them onto my back," Sebek says, which quickly gets everyone's attention.

"What? Wait, Sebek, I don't think it would be a good idea to move them since help is coming." But the green-haired freshman is already marching to where Yuu is lying on Kalim's lap.

"But it might not be soon enough." Sebek has a deep frown and Silver can imagine thunder rumbling around him. He puts a hand on Sebek's shoulder, stopping him. "I'm worried about Yuu, too, but you might get lost in the woods trying to find the mages."

Sebek growls in frustration. "But. . ."

"I can come with him." Ortho moves towards the two. "I'm equipped with sensors that can detect anyone from a distance. I can make sure we go in the right direction."

Silver and Sebek are astounded by this. "But didn't you say you're low on power?" Silver points out.

"I meant, I don't have enough to fly from here to the hospital and back. For this situation, I'm positive I have enough."

"If that is the case, then let's go."

-I downright despise her. Like seeing almost any defense of her pisses me off and I hate how it seems illegal in the fandom to hate her.

-As I’ve said several times, Kitty did not have “character assassination” (imo at least) in T9S. Who she is in T9S is almost identical. Maybe she might be a little less serious, but people tend to loosen up a lot when they get older. I actually like T9S!Kitty more because the writers finally stopped portraying her as this beacon of virtue and let her be flawed yet a good person more like in S1 of T7S.

-the way she treats Eric, Donna, and Laurie downright makes my blood boil. And idc if Laurie is Satan on whatever, no child should have to deal with hearing stuff like “Rosemary had a better baby than me” and “I love you because I have to” from their own MOTHER.

Bob

-I don’t think I have any, but I think he might actually be the best MAIN parent on the show. Definitely not while with Midge, but after that, he grows a lot as a person imo and into a really good dad to Donna. (Overall tho, I think WB is the best parent but out of the main parents, it’s Bob with Red as a close second.)
