Rui says goodbye to tsukasa and keeps walking and talking with amaryllis, speculating on their findings. Eventually, they meet back up with Tsukasa.

Ah hello tsukasa, Hopefully you managed to get rid of that key well enough. Well then, shall we head off?

Tsukasa was walking around, trying to find Rui.

"If I were Rui," he muttered, "where would I go?"

Then, he spotted two people on the street. One looked... vaguely familiar, though from where was a mystery. Wait... was that Rui?

He began to approach him, hoping that he could do something.

"Rui, is that you? Please, that key you took with you, throw it aw-"

Tsukasa froze. Rui seemed.. even more off now. What... what was wrong? Now, it seemed like even less of him was there.

Tsukasa was a bit scared, if he was being honest. He felt almost as if that if he didn't help Rui soon, he'd be too late, and the demon, whatever his name was, would... would...

No, don't think that! Such thoughts are unfitting for a star such as himself!

Yet, how can you say they're unfitting of you when they're the truth?

"Rui...? Are you..."

Are you there? The words weren't spoken, but the meaning was clear.

As you get closer, you realise that the person you thought was Rui was actually The Purple Eye... though for some reason he was acting just like Rui? very angry and aggressive, it looked like they were atacking someone as well? The other person standing seemed to have interrupted this... and a closer look revealed it was Phantom Thief Amaryllis!! this is confusing though... why would amaryllis be here? and Why on earth is The Purple Eye acting so angry and similar to Rui? something's odd... but it looks dangerous to interrupt Right now, Phantom Thief Amaryllis seems to be talking with The Purple Eye.

Day 7: Moon/Ancient - First person POV / Book cover style

I found the cave near the shore. It was fairly hidden—the entrance was underwater, although the top of the cavern had a small hole that opened to the sky, where you could see a glimpse of the moon and the stars beyond. And in it was a boy. At that time, I didn’t know much about serpents. Otherwise, I would’ve recognized the webbing between his hands, and the finned ears. I definitely would have paid attention to the little pieces of gold and the pearls that surrounded him.

Find someone slightly annoying but in really small harmless ways so I decide none of the behaviours are worth bringing up with them → realizing: hey, Im also annoying! solidarity! → realizing we have a lot in common and starting to bond → finding out other people find this person annoying and are vocal about it behind their back → finding out this person has ADHD like me that's (at least one reason) why we have all these traits in common → fear.

Oh An! hey there, no worries. it's all good here.

Rui seems to have taken a small nap earlier, evident from the sofa having a blanket thrown over it, but now is sitting nearby at a table, in front of a coffee made exactly how An likes it. his injured arm is carefully resting on the table, avoiding moving it. It appears as though Rui's doing better, but there is still an underlying feeling of frustration, and disappointment at herself, but it's definitely less than before.

Rui pauses for a second. Like the anonymous tip said, Saki's eyes had indeed lost their sparkle and looked so... Muted. sad. This deeply saddened Rui, how could he let Saki hurt so much? This was terrible, Rui truly felt so bad about this.
