I know we'll never get it, but I want Phil's side so badly. He was so unlucky in love before Dan. It seemed like he desperately wanted to find someone who would love and understand him, and then this beautiful boy who is perfect for him in every way comes along and they form a deep connection and he makes Phil feel things he's never felt before and he loves Phil BECAUSE of his little quirks and idiosyncrasies, not in spite of them. it must have felt like a dream come true for both of them

ah for real, it did seem like phil was missing that companionship he hadn’t found before. it’d be so interesting to hear how it felt like to finally have a person in his life, who he could fully be himself with, who saw him for everything he is, and fell in love with him. dan became a best friend and a romantic partner. he was passionate about the same things, and wanted to spend every minute with him right from the start, and would take the train to see him any chance he got, even though he didn’t have much money. it sounds like a dream, something out of a poetic romance novel but no it’s their actual history !!
