Looking for volunteers…

As some of you know, @cyber-streak-2 and I have been providing the fandom with quality incorrect quotes for a while now.

I’ve had a lot of fun with it, but since I’ll be cutting down on my fandom activities for a while, I won’t be able to help with incorrect quotes more than once a week.

Styx and I are looking for a few volunteers who can fill in for me and suggest characters for quotes.

Responsibilities and requirements below:

Responsibilities:

Styx will DM you a handful of incorrect quotes sometime during the day, depending on its availability. Usually, this happens sometime in the evening (MT-EST USA).

The message will appear as follows:

Sometime before the next day, you will evaluate the quotes and suggest characters that fit each quote.

I recommend copy-pasting the full message into a separate app (iPhone Notes, Google Docs, etc.) and brainstorming over there. It’ll make your life easier if you can see all the quotes in front of you as you work, and it’ll also help prevent mix-ups on your end.

My preferred brainstorming setup:

When you’re finished matching things up, you will send back your suggestions in the following format:

Anubis will look over your suggestions, and it’ll thank you if it’s satisfied. If not, he’ll ask if you have any other suggestions for [quote #x].

Other things to know:

If you’re busy when Styx sends the quotes, don’t feel pressured to respond; you don’t even have to let it know you’re busy. As long as you send your suggestions/ideas before the morning of the next day (6am EST), you’re free to answer him whenever you want. Styx is chill like that :)

If you can’t think of any character(s) that will fit one or more of the quotes, say so. The only consequence is that there will be less quotes.

If the quotes are published, and you realize you or Anubis accidentally mixed up the characters, don’t hesitate to DM, point it out, and state exactly what changes should be made. It’s happened plenty of times with me, and Styx hasn’t hesitated to change the quotes, even after they’ve been published.

If you think of multiple characters that fit a single quote, feel free to suggest them too.

Multi-character formatting examples:

If you can think of a way to correct and/or improve one or more of the quotes, send back the full quote(s) with the completed changes incorporated. This makes it easy for Anubis to just copy and paste the updated version(s):

Requirements:

Must have a solid grasp of the main characters’ personalities in MTMTE + LL, preferably with a grasp of some characters from the rest of IDW1, TFP, and EarthSpark. Knowledge of characters from TFA, G1, and Beast Wars is appreciated for the sake of additional variety, but not necessary. No Rescue Bots, RiD15, or Cyberverse, please.

Must be able to communicate concisely. Styx does best when there’s little-to-no ambiguity in the wording of character suggestions and all other messages. (No need to be me or an Ultra Magnus. Just be willing to confirm or reword things if asked.)

‘Omg’ Richie responds immediately. ‘When do you present? I need to be there. I’ll bring an air horn and pom poms”

‘Don’t you DARE, you dickhead!’ he texts back. But then also adds, ‘…1:30. Second level, corridor II, room H.’

It ends up being the most ridiculous but hilarious and fun presentation of Eddie’s life.

11/29 I’m the anon who slashed hours at Job A for Job B because B pays much better and their corporate isn’t up to a bunch of fuckery (I’d link the post but idk how to on mobile). It’s been almost a month since I cut hours at A and a few weeks since I took on more hours at B (I was also working a THIRD job at a Halloween store, so I gave myself a light workload to start November with and decompress) and I’m so much happier. Job A’s store leader and another leader basically gave everyone “permission” (not that we needed it but it helped embolden us) to mass report manager M to HR because she’d been behaving awfully for a while, but the only reports they actually wanted to investigate required the submitters to reveal themselves, which they were both too scared to do because of M’s clear disregard for the no retaliation policy. So the reports have gone nowhere, but she’s reigned in her attitude at least.

As someone wished in the comments, Job A HAS been getting fucked over this Christmas season. Cyber Monday was a shitshow with 150+ BOPIS that we absolutely did not have enough room to properly store (we’re built to properly hold, like, 50) and there was half the staff of the weekend, so the managers were all just picking orders all day and the two cashiers were packing them all day.

And for the toy donation drive Job B does that I mentioned, not to brag but I’ve been killing it 😎 I even won a gift card to a restaurant for getting the most one week, during October when I was only there 4 hours a week. So life’s feeling pretty good right now.

May I get how bay hotrod, Optimus, and bee would react to their neutral cyber s/o telling them that they used to be in a sort of forbidden relationship with a Decepticon during the war, but then decided to leave them when they decided they had enough, and that they weren't good for them anymore because of their verbal abuse and domineering personality. Then, later after they met them, they saw a huge difference with dating an autobot, then a Decepticon. The con told them that autobots are dumb, pathetic, and weak. But when the neutral gets in a relationship, they say Autobots are more kind, caring, handsome, and suave 😎

Hot Rod:

He's very glad to hear they are so fond of him and think so highly of him now. He's glad that he was able to prove to them that Autobots are the good guys and have much better qualities.

He doesn't judge them for dating a Decepticon, they all have their pasts. However he hated hearing about how the con used to treat them, if he met that con he would make sure to punch them in the face for being a jerk. He just focuses on the present and their future. He wants to make sure he keeps showering them with love and adoration, so they constantly feel like they made the right choice in dating him.

Optimus:

He makes no comments or remarks on their previous relationship. It was something they did when he didn't know them, and it was their experience to go through. Now they are out of it and in a much better relationship with him, that is all he focuses on.

It does upset them that they had to go through a horrible time with the con. Optimus makes sure to show them true love, something they deserve, and promises to be caring and loving and all good things. However, he doesn't really need to promise because he would always treat them right anyway.

Bumblebee:

He feels like they should have known not to date a Decepticon, especially since it was during the war and it was established they were bad. But it was something they went through, and it was in the past. He can't change that, and saying something negative to them about it would only hurt them.

Instead, he consoles them for what they had to go through, he hates the idea that they had to endure such verbal abuse. He would kick the cons aft if he ever met him. Bee cuddles them and kisses them, constantly praising them for being a wonderful S/O, saying he is so glad that they are now together.
