"bird's a complete sweetheart. i totally get volt's cuteness agression thing now. i wanna, like, wrap him in a wet rag, put him in a tiny jar, and shake him around or something.

he's definitely got it easy compared to some other mortys. his rick is one of the chillest ricks i've ever seen, right up there with zeta! it's nice to see a version of me so happy, but like, i can't help but be a little bit jealous. why wasn't my rick just nice from the get go like that? why does he get that grandpa while i've had to settle for crumbs for the longest time?

ugh, but that's such a shitty thing to think. i should just be happy for them. and i'm sure bird rick and morty have plenty of problems that i just don't know about.

still gotta plan that double date with dish and bird. maybe effie can take us to that restaurant again? then again, i don't really know what bird morty eats. maybe i'll ask bp for some tips?"

🫛 — Veritas is sort of in the middle on nicknames, I think. He’s not super over the moon about them, but he likes them and doesn’t hate them. He usually calls me “darling”, “my love”, “sweetheart”, things like that, those are his favorites to use. He doesn’t really use ones like “baby/babe”, “babygirl”, etc. I do call him babygirl sometimes to annoy him just a little though. I like to opt for things like “amor”, “hun/honey”, or “sunshine”, but sometimes I use the pet names he does as well.

🧅 — What makes him cry? He’s not an overly emotional person, but he’s not some stone cold ice lord either. He’s definitely softer in private than in public, though. I mean, I cry at almost anything because I’m just sensitive. I usually am the one crying at books/movies, but Veritas does get emotional on rare occasions.

🫒 — Veritas isn’t one for over the top PDA, but in public he usually goes for a side hug when walking/arm around the waist. At home/in private, he’s a bit of a cuddle bug, actually. He likes to hug me from behind (albeit randomly), and claims he’s “recharging” after a long day of work. I don’t mind, it’s adorable. He likes receiving hugs from me, and I usually go for hugs when we’re cuddling on the couch or when he leaves for work.

🍑 — Veritas does like giving gifts, actually! Nothing grand or extravagant (unless it’s a special occasion), usually. He does make a habit of giving me flowers once a month. Sometimes he surprises me with something I may have been eyeing in a store, and he always makes a mental note to go back to the store and buy it later.

Mmm! Gotta be the editing process, for me! That's why I don't usually have a beta reader. I love re-reading the completed fic and getting to refine it and be nit-picky over word choice and phrasing. Cleaning it up just before publishing is the most relaxing part.

🥧 — have you and your f/o tried to bake something together? how did it go? what did you make?

Itto — Yes, numerous times, actually. He loves baking with me, actually! It usually goes pretty smoothly, if you don’t count him swiping a bit of the batter on his finger when he thinks I’m not looking, or playfully shoving a cookie in my mouth once we’re finished. With Itto, I usually make cookies and chocolate confections.

Dr. Ratio — I don’t bake as often with him, but he still enjoys it regardless. It goes well, and he also has a habit of tasting the batter when he thinks I’m not looking. He prefers when we make beignets, and he secretly enjoys the process. He won’t admit that he adds a bit extra powdered sugar to his beignets, either.

🕯️ — do you keep candles in your home? what kinds of candles do you like? what kinds do your f/o like?

Itto — Yes, mainly in the living room and our bedroom. I like fresh scents (like eucalyptus, pumpkin, coconut, etc.) and gourmand scents (warm sugar, caramel, vanilla, candy, etc.). I love seasonal scents, too. Itto likes floral (lotus, melon, rose, etc.) and woody scents (amber, pine, etc.).

Dr. Ratio — Yes, he keeps some in his office and I keep some in our bedroom and around the kitchen. I like fresh and gourmand scents, and Ratio actually has a preference for floral scents; jasmine and lavender, specifically.
