“Ferris” was born into an average family, but they were still happy. Her parents were hardworking, and they made sure to keep her happy at all costs.

Growing up, she was a kind child who would treat everyone equally, because in her eyes, they were all a potential friend. She was also a brilliant child, she understood everything she was taught but put lots of effort instead of just listening. She was the favorite among all her teachers. However, bright as she was, she was also envied a lot. Those who began to hate her because of her kind nature, began to bully her. She was dragged by her hair, chased away from her class, and was even injured at some point by those bullies. Yet she never stopped being kind to them, which irritated them more. Whoever she tried to befriend, she was pushed away and was told that she was a freak. Elementary school, middle school, even in high school it was the same. She was bullied by her peers, but loved by her teachers. So she started to draw in a sketchbook, sitting alone in her desk/room.

It was in these days that she discovered a certain spell that let her drawings become real. The first one she brought to reality was a hybrid character, and she became her first friend. Soon, she began to draw more friends for herself and forgot about the real world. And when her classmates saw those ‘friends’, they figured out that she was able to use magic, and therefore called her a witch. Her parents, who they gradually revealed their expectations to her because she was a young genius, began to pressure her to get better grades because they wanted the best for her. She soon began to feel something strange inside, but paid no mind to it.

When she got to online websites, she found new friends and briefly stopped to draw ‘friends’ for herself. For a while, she thought she finally found real friends. But unfortunately, she was very wrong as so many disputes happened between those online friends and she soon cut ties with most of them until there were only a few left. When one of her bullies was sick at the time, she chose to take care of her, and soon became close friends despite what happened in the past. But unfortunately, a very close friend of hers chose to abandon her which caused her to shut herself in her dream world again. And soon... she overblotted. Her sketchbook, which had all her ‘friends’, was almost black. And Ferris was out of sight.

Little did everyone know, she came to Twisted Wonderland inside a coffin with a monster cat named Grim. In a world full of strangers, she hid every important information about herself and gave away the unimportant ones. Even her name, Ferris, is fake. Her real name is ███████.

Kaycee glanced over at Ethan, pursing her lips to stifle a smile. Not that he would have seen it—if avoiding eye contact wasn’t enough, he had put on his dark sunglasses as a second attempt to hide. She glanced at her watch; twenty minutes had passed, and that was long enough. She scooted closer to him on the bright red bench as the sounds of children screeching and carnival music swirled around them.

“Babe,” she whispered just loud enough for him to hear. “It’s all right, you know. We don’t have to go on any more rides. In fact, we could leave if you want.”

“We’re not leaving,” he said firmly. “How would everyone else get back to Boston?”

“Well, there’s this thing called Uber. I’d even be happy to give them money toward it.”

He turned to Kaycee, removing his sunglasses to look her in the eye. “If we leave, it’s adding insult to injury. I’d rather wait and show I’m still capable of driving them home.”

“All right,” she said, lacing their fingers together. “Then why don’t you and I walk around the fair? We can still have fun and no more rides.”

“But you love rides. Why don’t you meet up with your friends? I’ll be fine.”

“What are you doing...” he started, but she quickly silenced him with a kiss.

“I do love rides, but not as much as I love you. Besides, this is the perfect time for you to try and win a stuffed animal for me!”

Okay firstly: Nea is alright to kin, as of now! :3 Even tho they're supposed to be a self-insert, I'm sorta disconnected from them and just see them as an OC I project onto, so you can be open abt being kin w/ Nea, if you want ! (But please respect my wishes if I choose to change this later on; I can't make any promises that I'll still feel like this in the future :P) .

Alright, so!  Starting with the basics:

🧁 • Nea's likes: stuffed animals, Twyla (their girlfriend), drawing, making OCs, Tiniest Ferry Shop, cute things, receiving attention & praise, physical affection, making others happy, kandi, video games, laughing off negative/hard emotions.

Dislikes: feeling second best/inferior to others, loud noises, being yelled at, seeing those they care about getting hurt, taking care of themself (Nea sometimes considers it a waste of time), taking everything seriously, stumbling over their words & feeling like they're talking too much, being unable to help.

🌈 • Nea is ⅓ cat, ⅓ cake anthry, and ⅓ dog! :3 (hence why they have 1 dog ear & 1 cat ear, and only half of their body has cat/cake or dog features). They worked as a nurse at Sparklecare for ~1 year before being demoted to a patient, due to Nea unfortunately getting diagnosed w/ glows-a-lot. Nea wanted to help others when they first applied for the job, and they already had an interest in things like medicine, so becoming a nurse at The Best hospital in CountryTownCountry seemed like a good idea to them.

🐕 • Personality traits (ones not listed in the card) :

Apathetic: due to Nea primarily using apathy as one of their defense mechanisms, they can sometimes not care about what happens around them, including with some of the people around them. Nea is sometimes distant or partially emotionally disconnected from others, and unsympathetic to others problems (<- That doesn't mean Nea won't try to help, though. They're still empathetic). This occasional lack of concern for basically everything can also cause them to act self-destructive in one way or another. They'll always feel bad/guilty about it afterwards, though.

Simple-minded: Nea can be naive at times and not really immediately understand things (atleast not as deeply) that others do. They may sometimes try to act like everyone else they see as smarter than them, but can't help often feeling sorta out of place. They think pretty literally most of the time, and though this trait has been kinda helpful in solving some of Nea's problems over the years, it can also make Nea seem childish in a way.

🍨• They're actually on good terms w/ most patients in the hospital, I think! <3  Some patients they're on the best terms w/ is their girlfriend Twyla Light (my partners self-insert :3), Mel N. Colly, Uni, Hemera (for the most part), Jay, Carrie, and Raye N. Bowe (one of my friends self-insert)! ♡♡ (Oh and Nea is also in an unofficial qpr w/ nurse Doom atm, but Shh you didn't hear it from me)

The least best terms is Barry. That's It . Nea respects him for his intelligence and such, but Nea would be lying if they said they didn't find Barry kinda annoying. (Pup does sorta(???) like him bcuz Uni likes him, and Nea trusts Uni, but Nea doesn't entirely like Barry on pups own accord. Particularly bcuz of Barry's mistreatment of Uni).

Allows her to bring anything she draws into reality, whether it be a bird or a plane. However, the drawings she brings to reality also consume energy depending on the size of the thing.

Fun Facts:

She tends to distance herself from others at first sight.

When she first met Grim, she didn’t like him in the slightest. Moreover, she was thinking of getting rid of him. However, as time went by, they became close and currently they’re (almost) inseparable.

The reason why she hates chicken is because her father constantly wants to eat chicken every day. He was upset when there wasn’t any meat in dinner, and chicken was the cheapest option at the time. So her mom cooked chicken for the most of the time, which made Ferris hate it as time went by.

The reason why she hides her true name is because she hates it a lot. It was one of the things people used to make fun of her. Other things were things like her voice, her attitude, her behavior etc.

Using her Unique Magic, she can alter her appearance anytime she wants to. She knows it, but doesn’t use it for most of the time because she likes the way she looks.

She is a fan of anime and video games, and often prefers to shut herself from the world with them. (She learns not to do it eventually, but it may be too late at that point...)

(*) This was something she discovered at a young age, but she learned to control that perfect aim for a long time.

She always wears a neutral expression on her face, even when she’s actually stressed out. The only times where her real emotions come out is either when she’s drawing, or whenever she’s with her loved ones.

Here you can submit any, and I mean any and all headcanons you may have! Your headcanons won’t be rejected at all, (even if I silently disagree with them).

There are, of course, a few rules…

Headcanon Submission Rules:

Obviously, no hateful headcanons, (transphobic ones, homophobic ones, racist ones, etc).

No disgusting ones either. Nobody wants to know what you think a fictional character’s kinks are.

Do not repeatedly submit the same headcanon in hopes of getting it accepted sooner. It’ll be seen when it gets seen.

Do not harass other people for having opposing headcanons. This should be obvious, I hope.

It’s okay to have a debate over a headcanon, just keep it friendly.

Don’t impersonate other anons. I don’t know why I have to say this. It should be obvious.

Japan Trip Day 2: Osaka

We then travelled again on a ferry: to a rabbit island (Okunoshima). They gave the otter a strange look (food?). But the day was nice and together with a friend they went back 🐰

On the way to the hotel, the otter wandered unattended through the station and saw some interesting things 🦦

Luckily he didn’t murder or lecture anyone

Right before bed he got a sweet treat 🍡

And in the night we had a little earthquake! But Otter Lucas was unimpressed. He simply continued sleeping.

Now for Prompt Examples + Explanations 

I’ve had people ask for prompt examples in past events I’ve hosted and this event is open to any language, so here you go! These are the quick brainstorming notes (now expanded with links & definitions) I took while narrowing down the list to be sure the final prompts were unique enough / without toooo much overlap, and covered enough areas. Only some of maaaany interpretations—go wild!

Your host is a fic-writer with ADHD, so…you’ve been warned.

Day 1: 

Pumpkin Spice: Cozy Autumn vibes. Putting up Halloween decorations, carving Jack-o-lanterns, coffee / tea shop, pumpkin patch, scented candles, baking, fall sangria, sweaters and beanies and flannels, momijigari (Autumn Hanami 🌸, basically) / admiring gorgeous fall foliage, fresh hot apple cider in an orchard. Itoshi Bros and their love of turtle/mock-neck sweaters. Pumpkin Farmer Aiku and Karasu scarecrow!

Do you believe in magic?: Revealing their magical powers for the first time. Crystal ball, tarot. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc. AU. Non-literal magic in relationships (feeling understood, chemistry, humor matching up perfectly, etc). Wands, spells, magical objects, magical creatures, etc.. Making a wish. Alexis "The Magician" Ness.

Day 2:

Masks: Costumes, super heroes, putting up a front, acting like something you’re not, classic masked Halloween meet-cute, secret / concealed identities, spies, ninja and samurai and assassins (Karasu and Otoyaaa!) Niko hiding his eyes / face.

Heartbeat: Racing heart from excitement, fright, romance, spice. No heartbeat like undead, zombie or vampire, etc.. Skip a beat, beat faster, beat slower (calm and comfort). Chigiri on the run from zombies, zombie Lorenzo!

Day 3: 

Things that go bump in the night: unexplained (scary or otherwise) noises in the night, whispers or voices, ghosts and other supernatural entities, haunted house / place, anything scary, …spicy. Spooky Owl outside Rin’s window. 

Festival: String lights illuminating festival stalls, costumes, traditional attire (Aryu looking stylish!), food and drink, games, Isagi devouring fried fair food. Fall Music festival. Mid-Autumn Festival (with all the pretty lanterns and mooncakes 🥮), Harvest / Fall Fests in general. Bobbing for apples, caramel / candy apples, carnival rides and games, Ferris wheel. Oktoberfest; Kaiser and/or any Bastard München player in Lederhosen—please, I’m begging!! Fun house / haunted house. Day of the Dead festivities.

Day 4:

Firelight: Cauldrons, brewing potions. Candles, rituals, bonfires. Autumn camping trip, s’mores, spooky firelight shadows outside the tent, got lost on a hiking trip & have to make a fire to keep warm! Torches, candles, lanterns lighting the way in a definitely not-haunted place. Hell, your favorite circle (Dante’s Inferno) 😈

Dark Waters: merpeople, sirens, sea monsters, kraken, pirates (Kurona and Raichi, Bachira 🐬!), sharks, shipwreck, ghost ships, stranded on a deserted island, haunted lakes, lake spirits, Autumn fishing trip, swamp monsters, bogs and marshes, willowisps, alligators, snakes. Loch Ness Monster

(Fire and water, light and dark)

Day 5:

Paranoia: Fear and suspicion, feeling like someone’s watching and you just can’t shake it (...Ego and his cameras), feeling like you’re losing your mind, etc.. Doesn’t have to be all bad! Maybe there was a misunderstanding before a fun surprise. 

The Witching hour: Wiki / dictionary. Depending on whom you ask, the hour is either midnight or 3am - 4am. Supernatural entities / practitioners of dark arts are the most active and powerful. These entities might feel compelled / drawn out into the world. Magic and danger, inexplicable happenings! Humans ought to be at home and safely tucked in bed at this late hour, or else... Fun fact, the Orionid meteor shower peaks juuust before this event starts (in my hemisphere, at least) but continue until November, and the best time to view meteor showers is generally around the witching hour (after midnight / 3-4am). Can also mean the time in which people get up to no good or questionable stuff.

Day 6:

Monster’s Ball: Monsters, creatures. Bachiraaa. Halloween party, masquerade, nightlife (going out in costume—or not—to bars and clubs). Reo buying a round. Literal ⚽ ball (Lil Isagi trick-or-treating in Noa’s kit), Halloween Practice (like in high school or college when your coach let you have a fun practice in costume before a holiday—absolute chaos and so fun!). Whatever chaos and debauchery y’all can imagine. Just follow the event guidelines and tag accordingly! Green eyed monster (jealousy), Cinderella’s Ball (Sae and Shidou!)

Hunter’s Moon: The date of the actual full Hunter’s Moon—lucky us! Sometimes called the Blood Moon. Full moon, werewolves, moonlight, on the hunt or being hunted, spells and rituals, Tsukimi / moon viewing + Tsukimi dango 🎑, moon myths and gods. Celestial things, Kurona and Isagi planetary hotline / astronauts, aliens.

Day 7:

Angels and Demons: Demon and priest, hell, listening to the angel or the devil on your shoulder (making a questionable decision because it’s tempting), devilish fun or spells, sin, temptation, a deal with the devil. Ohhh, Sae and Shidou, your night has come! 😈

Castle: fairytales, knights, vampires, dungeons, Royalty (King Barou, Emperor Kaiser!). Also super Sae and Shidou.

Day 8: 

Spirit: ghosts, haunted houses, GhostBusters, spirit entities like yokai, Ghost Adventures. Gagamaru as a friendly Yokai! Shaman. Possession, possessed or cursed objects. JJK. Ouija board game! Monk Igaguri. 

Movie Night: Watching a scary (or not scary) movie, series, anime, etc. So many movie/show Alternate Universes. Sendou living his Hollywood dreams. Barbie please!!! Nagi nodding off halfway through. The guys as a character from their favorite movie listed in the Egoist Bible.

Mischief Night: Wiki page. The night before Halloween for hijinks, pranks, scaring each other! Toilet papering Ego’s house. Can be more sinister, too.

Day 9: Halloween!

Sweet tooth / sucker: Trick-or-Treating, candy corn, so much candy, caramel corn, vampires or anything with fangs, bite, ‘sucker’ like 🍭 or vampires, or…

Free day / AU (alternate universe) Palooza!: 

Whatever Halloween stuff you want that doesn’t quite fit a prompt! Just listing some of the things I would draw (if I could) or write (if i had time):

Video game au for Hiori! Pokemon! Ego as a gangly cowboy, ⚽️ bolo tie and all. Barou as the "Cowardly" Lion in the Wizard of Oz. And finally, artists, if you're reading this, please, please consider Noel Noa (of the 🇫🇷 French National 🥖 Team!!) dressed as Bonjour Man from Life Lessons with Uramichi Onii-san (clip, manga cap). Please Omg. This image has literally been haunting me since starting this event and the manga/anime (even the dub!) is soooo funny. And technically, Bonjour Man is a cursed spirit sooo 👻
