You’ve been in the airport’s parking garage for almost an hour. Leaning against the side of the car and being bored out of your mind have been the only activities that you have occupied yourself with. It’s getting awfully annoying.

Periodically you’ll check your phone. Matt has been keeping you updated on flight times and how much time is left of their flight is. But the long waits between his texts are causing you unease.

About a week ago Matt had asked if you’d be willing to pick him, Bryan, and Bad Omens up from the airport once tour finished. You had happily agreed, knowing you would get to see your boyfriend after so long.

Nick would FaceTime you and tell you about each concert once it was over, no matter what time it was. You didn’t mind one bit. Most of the time you were able to stay awake and listen to him ramble about his day and the show the band had just played. Other times his voice lulled you to sleep, and you would wake the next morning to see Nick had ended the FaceTime. But he never failed to send you a good night and good morning text. He knows the time differences are difficult for you and never complains about you falling asleep on call.

(Although, he will never admit the amount of screenshots he has of you sleeping from those calls. Those are for him to giggle at and admire.)

You’ve missed Nick every day he’s been gone on tour. He hates being away from you, but he knows you have a job and responsibilities of your own that you have to take care. If those weren’t in the picture, Nick would have you tagging along on every tour Bad Omens does.

And now, you’ll finally get to see him after a couple months. It has your heart rate spiking.

Your phone vibrates in your hand, and you look down at the screen to see Matt has texted you saying that the plane just landed. Excitement is pulsing through your veins viciously.

You begin pacing the length of the car as you wait, your hands jittering from inside the pocket of your sweatshirt. Well, it’s actually Nick’s, but it’s your favorite of his. Plus, it has been the only thing you’ve wanted to wear since he left.

Another twenty minutes passes before Matt’s texting you again. He’s asking where you’re parked in the garage. You reply with shaky hands.

That's when you’re able to put your phone back in your Nick’s sweatshirt pocket. You begin bouncing on the balls of your feet anxiously, until you start hearing voices coming from the other end of the garage level you’re on. There’s a laugh that echoes against the concrete walls that you haven’t heard in person for what feels like a lifetime.

You hesitantly step around the backend of the car to see the band and Bryan and Matt walking towards you, their luggage in hand. Your eyes find Nick immediately, and your heart swells inside your chest at the sight of your boyfriend.

Noah notices you first. He waves at you with one hand, the other grasping the handle of his suitcase. You then watch him nudge Nick, who had been walking beside him. Nick looks to Noah, Noah says something to him, Nick looks in your direction. You see Nick stop walking for a moment before he's running at you full speed, his bags still in hand.

Nick has a huge smile on his face as he races for you. You don't have much time to brace for impact before he's dropping his things several yards away and barreling into you. His arms are around you in an instant, and you find yourself being lifted into the air and twirled around.

Your arms curl around his neck on instinct. Having him back with you feels like coming home.

After another spin or two, Nick finally sets you down, his hands finding their way to your face. With his palms pressed to your cheeks — his thumbs rest at the peaks of your cheekbones and his fingers grace your earlobes and the skin beneath — he leans in and kisses you. Your fingers immediately dive into his hair, tugging lightly at the strands.

Nick is kissing you like a man starved. He’s moving his lips against yours with so much passion and love that it has your back meeting the exterior of the car. You kiss him back just as fiercely until you’re feeling pleasantly lightheaded.

Sadly, Nick pulls back. You blink open your eyes, and in your peripheral vision, you can see the rest of the guys finally reaching you. You feel embarrassment sluice through you at the smirks a couple of them wear.

"Hi, baby," Nick suddenly breathes in to your mouth. He presses a few quick kisses to your lips before he leans back to properly meet your eyes.

"Hi," you greet him with a smile. You run your hands through his hair, relishing the familiar feeling between your fingers. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too.”

Nick goes to kiss you again but is stopped by someone loudly clearing their throat. You both turn to see Jolly looking at you expectantly, his eyebrows raised high. However, you don’t miss the amusement in his eyes.

“As endearing as this exchange is, we’d like to go home now,” he tells you.

You laugh anxiously but push Nick away from you anyways. He tries to step back into your space, until Matt is pulling you towards him. Matt wraps you up in a tight hug that is nearly painful, then the moment is over before you could lose consciousness.

The guys situate their bags in the trunk of the car then turn to hug you in greeting. They’re all obviously exhausted and you don’t blame them for wanting to get home so they can sleep in their own beds.

Then Nick has his arms around you once more. He has his chest pressed to your back as you’re trying to close the trunk door. You struggle for a moment before Bryan is closing it for you. You shoot him a grateful smile that he returns.

"Nicky baby, I have to drive," you say to your boyfriend with a laugh. But Nick remains shamelessly clinging to you, even as you attempt to shuffle towards the driver's side of the car.

"No, you don't," he mumbles into your hair. "Someone else can drive."

You roll your eyes with a groan. That’s true, yes, but everyone is tired and clearly running dangerously low on energy. You open your mouth to tell Nick just that as someone steps around you to get in the driver’s seat.

“Dude, what the fuck are you doing?” you question Noah. “Let me drive so you can sleep for a bit.”

Noah shakes his head as he starts the engine.

“I’d rather not be a foot within Clingy Folio, thank you,” Noah responds. He has a small smile on his face when he looks to you. “I’m gonna make Nicholas suffer instead.”

“Fuck you, Sebastian, I’m not doing that,” Nicholas tells him. “They can sit in the back by themselves and I will claim shotgun.”

On the other side of the car you can clearly see Nicholas bump Matt out of the way as he gets in to the passenger seat. He quickly closes the door and locks it while Matt playfully curses at him, a smile on both of their faces.

With Noah and Nicholas up front, then Jolly, Bryan and Matt in the second row, you’re banned to the backseat with Nick. You barely have enough time to buckle your seatbelt before Nick is squishing in next to you. His right arm squeezes between your back and the seat and he uses the other to grab your hand. You respond by resting your head against his shoulder.

Noah begins driving out of the parking garage. Nick plants a few kisses to your head before he settles his head on top of yours.

“I missed you so fucking much,” you hear Nick whisper.

“I missed you, too,” you whisper back. “You’re not allowed to leave me again.”

Nick pinches your side, and you jolt in response. You elbow him in the stomach before settling against him once more.

“You know, you always say that, babe,” Nick says with a small laugh. “But you let me leave anyways ‘cause you know I’ll always come back to you.”
