據說在古時一位台南人來彰化發展時，恭請八太保神像北上，之後於現今彰化市公園路一帶建廟名為彰化保安宮，日治時代皇民化加上道路擴寬，保安宮面臨拆毀的命運，神像起初形成爐會供奉，後期就供奉在南瑤宮觀音殿後面的矮房中，1971年12月27日開始興建第三殿與香客大樓[22]，1973年完工，一樓為供奉廣澤尊王、二樓三官大帝、三樓玉皇上帝，施工這段期間八太保神像暫時移請至台南西羅殿。傳聞第三殿尚未興建時，一位台南人來南瑤宮參拜，走進觀音殿後面的矮房中，赫見一尊廣澤尊王與西羅殿之鎮殿聖王極為神似，西羅殿得知消息後，在興建時邀請八太保暫居台南接受供奉，不過完工後西羅殿遲遲不歸還八太保神像，南瑤宮聖王殿急需有神像座鎮，在等不急的情況下另塑尊王像坐鎮，後臺南西羅殿將原鎮殿八太保奉請回宮之後，為符合殿內神尊以奇數為宜之禮俗，再雕塑虎邊第二尊廣澤聖王，形成現今三尊聖王鎮殿的情形。傳聞記載，明治卅九年春（1906年），笨港、諸羅、府城之媽祖大會香，南瑤宮第一次南下參與盛會，當地人士把南瑤轎誤會聽成攔腰轎，其中發生了不愉快事件，西羅殿為了化解疑慮和誤會，請出真誠堂八太保為中保人調停，並永久供奉在南瑤宮內，以化解此場誤會和難堪。

南瑤宮三官大帝保佑媽媽手術順利

南瑤宮是臺灣彰化縣彰化市南瑤里的一座主祀天上聖母的媽祖廟，建於18世紀清朝乾隆年間，在彰化縣城南門外。香火鼎盛，屢稱靈驗，有「彰化媽蔭外方」之名。現為中臺灣的重點古廟，1985年4月25日中華民國內政部公告指定為三級古蹟（今為縣定古蹟)

南瑤宮的後殿又稱大雄寶殿，或天公殿，1973年建成，是一座現代鋼筋混凝土結構的三層樓建築，寬12公尺，深12.8公尺，屋頂仿傳統廟宇造型，上簷為歇山式燕尾脊，飾有雙龍護塔，戧脊尾部有四隻鳳凰，有「鳳凰來儀」之意，下簷為廡殿式。一樓供奉廣澤尊王（俗稱郭聖王），二樓供奉三官大帝，三樓供奉玉皇大帝。

三官大帝在道教中的正確神銜為：

天官：上元一品九炁天官賜福曜靈元陽大帝紫微帝君

地官：中元二品七炁地官赦罪洞靈清虛大帝青靈帝君

水官：下元三品五炁水官解厄金靈洞陰大帝暘谷帝君

簡稱為上元一品天官賜福紫微大帝，中元二品地官赦罪清虛大帝，下元三品水官解厄洞陰大帝。

民間普遍認為天官大帝為堯，地官大帝為舜，水官大帝為禹三位賢君。《歷代神仙通鑒》則說元始天尊化炁為上元天官之神、中元地官之神、下元水官之神，這三位大神下凡即成為堯、舜、禹三帝。

另說，三清道祖以炁化身，元始天尊化炁為上元天官之神、靈寶天尊化炁為中元地官之神、道德天尊化炁為下元水官之神；是為三元之神，以主宰天庭、地府、水域等三界[1][2]。

中國上古就有祭天、祭地和祭水的禮儀。道教所謂：「天官賜福、地官赦罪、水官解厄。」就是說三官有對世人、亡魂等能「賜與福份、赦免罪過、解除災厄」的權能。東漢時，張道陵創立天師道，就以祭祀天地水三官、上「三官手書」作為教徒請禱治疾療病的方法。

職能上天官管理天府之統，掌理眾生善福惡禍、諸神仙升降。地官管理九地十方，四維、五嶽、八極，考察眾生禍福核男女功過之籍，掌管所有山脈、土地。水官管理江、河、海等水域萬靈，掌死魂鬼神之籍，錄眾生之功過。

三元節就是「三元大帝」的誕辰，民間各有慶典法事。天官生日乃上元節舉行祈福法事、地官生日為中元節普渡孤魂、水官生日即下元節，請神明為運勢不好的人消災解厄。江蘇省有懸掛書寫「三官大帝」燈籠的習慣，據說可消災解厄，如清顧鐵卿《清嘉錄》記載：「遇三元日，士庶拈香，駢集於院觀之有神像者。郡西七子山有三官行宮，釋氏奉香火，至日，輿舫絡繹，香湖尤盛。歸持燈籠，上禦『三官大帝』四字，紅黑相間，懸於門首，云可解厄。或有人以小杌插香供燭，一步一拜至山者，曰拜香。」

主祀三官大帝的廟宇可稱為三官廟、三官寺、三元宮等。

三官大帝也是許多寺廟的陪祀神。奉祀玉皇上帝聖像的廟宇，大多會奉祀三官大帝。

The military officer (武官) is different from the civilian officer. They wear red robes and wear a crown call” Wubian DaGuan/Huben crown(武弁大冠 or 虎贲冠)”,These crown is characterized by always having two feathers on it

During the Three Kingdoms period(220–280 AD) in China (the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty), Zhuge Liang(諸葛亮), a well-known Chinese military engineer, strategist, statesman, and writer should wear the above civil official clothes when meet the emperor instead of wearing the clothes like below:

The Three Kingdoms game, including those made by the Japanese, is also based on the image of Zhuge Liang imagined and drawn by people after the Song Dynasty(960–1279 AD).

Which is not conform to the clothing that Zhuge Liang should have worn in  Three Kingdoms period(220–280 AD,the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty)
