Mefilas is doing Zen meditation...  This pose came from the short movie "Shin-UltraFight" available in Tsuburaya Imagination in Japan. I was motivated to draw that by myself as it's where my favorite character and my interested religion meet each other!

I think one of his attractive features is the beauty of deep black on his body. And with a white background, it stands out well! This background is also related to Zen. I made it looking like a Buddhism sutra.

What's written in background in Japanese: - Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary - Extraterrestrial the 0th - Mefilas - Evangel to the planet - Fulfilled peaceful world - "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" That's my favorite phrase

...Those are all related to Mefilas, something used in the official movie. By the way, they are my handwriting too. Proud to be a handdrawn artist!
