black pearl cookie, the woman that you are 🥰🙏😳🙈🖤🖤 this was supposed to be one of those 1-2 hour sketches I had been doing recently, but of course I took like 5 hours and multiple sessions working on this 😂😂 this drawing turned out a lot better than I expected, so it gets a separate post!! all the others are gonna be in one post most likely 😋✨ there's a comparison post under the cut!!

the way I finished this and then GASPED when I looked back at the black pearl art I did from 2 years ago omg 😳 the improvement I made is INSANE and I'm really proud of myself!!

I remember the thought process of the 2022 piece being along the lines of me struggling with wanting to have a more "mature" art style 🫠 essentially, I wanted to draw art that made people go "wow that's HOT", and move away from drawing cute things (it still turned out more on the cute side, but it was a good first effort 😂😂). recently, I started doing art style studies of artists with art qualities I really wanted, and I'd say it helped a lot!! I'm finally at a point where I'm actually happy with my art style and the way that I draw overall, so that's a total win for me 😊🙌
