Connection Description: Ever since moving to Kismet Harbor in 2020, Sam has only ever had one serious relationship while in town. His ex could be his polar opposite (aka playing by the books, kind of the nice girl next door kind of vibe), very similar to him (getting into trouble with law enforcement frequently and partying a lot) or more experienced and well-versed in life (depending on her age). I personally imagine her being as messy as he is, fiery but she definitely doesn't have to be. I'm open to any other kind of personality as well, yes. Despite his demeanor, Sam is a very caring, incredibly affectionate person to date and would love nothing more than to settle down and have a family of his own, but he comes with a bunch of baggage, some of which his ex would definitely know about. Such as the fact that he served time in prison, as well as his tendency to abuse alcohol and occasionally drugs. The latter could perhaps be the reason for their breakup. She would, however, not know about his best friend's death. For how long their relationship lasted, is a matter of discussion, though I imagine it being a rather short but intense relationship. I am more than open to throw ideas back and forth and would love to discuss possibilities of how things transpired.

If you had to describe your muse as a canon Hunger Games character, or mix, who would you compare them to and why?: I would compare Maximus to either Caesar Flickerman, or Effie Trinket when we first meet her. He very much believes the Hunger Games are entertaining and they bring a lot to Panem’s culture. He is very blind to the pain of the tributes beyond seeing them as pieces of the game to root for or against, though not that he is an Escort he is very bias towards his kids. His major hope from the games is to become more famous within Panem, especially the Capitol, from them, and to have people recognize him in the streets, afterall now that he is on TV and partaking in the greatest event in Panem, why shouldn’t he benefit just like the kids in his eyes?

According to sources, they’re 29 and were once described as a golden signet ring resting on the pinky, dark brown hair in the winter, and golden blonde in the summer, a crisp suit walking down the croso, & a glinting smile in the district 4 sun on reaping day. Maximus Lush comes from an old money family in the Capitol, his grandfather was a high ranking member of the War Department, his Father a Gamemaker, and his mother a Capitol Socialite. Maximus could have done anything he wanted with his career, and he wanted to work in the games, but not like his father, he wanted to be on television, and so his family using their connections secured him a position as an Escort for District 4, something he’s been doing for 5 years now. 

As an Escort, Maximus is very self forward putting, seeing the games as a way for himself to get more publicity always having loved the spotlight. That’s why he was happy to be partnered with a District that was known to produce tributes who were popular, and had a real shot at winning. He was also happy that when it was time to go out to the Districts he was going to one of the wealthier Capitol friendly districts, and the weather certainly did help. Maximus cares about his tributes as an extension of himself, he wants them to do good, so that he can look good. Victors after all mean more time on camera, and more attention on him. 

Maximus and the Lush family as a whole are very obsessed with image both their personal images and the family image. They put a lot of weight on status, and wealth, and because of that Maximus always strives to look his absolute best. His suits are always finely tailored and in colors that compliment him. Depending on the time of year, he changes his hair color, liking to wear it dark in the winter, and light in the summer. He also usually wears several rings on his hands and has one of his ears pierced. Knowing just exactly is *enough* accessorization and when its become too much. Beyond his good looks, and charming personality Maximus can be incredibly vapid, and not very bright. Something he desperately tries to hide behind a pretty smile, and silver tongue.

Roleplay-Related Terms I Use (And How I Use Them)

Looking for a word or term I’ve used that’s not on this list?  Message me and I’ll add it.  :)

Callout - A post that claims someone (usually another tumblr user) has done something heinous, and everyone needs to know about it RIGHT NOW so you can block them.

Canon - Something accepted as fact within a fandom.  This can also be used to refer to a muse if they’re from a fandom. (ex. Dean Winchester is a canon character.)

DNI - Literally stands for 'Do Not Interact.' This is usually in relation to lists some RPers compile on their blogs that amounts to 'do not interact with me or my blog if...' and then the list is comprised of people and/or faceclaims they don't agree with.

FC - Acronym for 'faceclaim.' A faceclaim is the person some muns choose to be the 'face' of their muse.

Ghosting - When someone ends a personal relationship by suddenly (and without explanation) cutting off all communication.

God-Modding - Controlling the movements/thoughts of a character that’s not yours.  This includes NPCs!

Headcanon - Something that is a fact for me, and for my muse.

IC - Acronym for ‘in character;’ when a conversation happens IC, it’s taking place between fictional people, not between you and me.

Meta-Gaming - Having your character know something about another character that they shouldn’t know without good reason.  A classic example of this is having your character know that Bruce Wayne is Batman, even though there’s no LOGICAL reason they should know.

Mun - Me, Myself, and I (aka: the writer); where did this term come from?  I don’t know. But I’ve been using it ever since I started roleplaying on tumblr YEARS ago because everyone else was using it, too.

Muse - A character you choose to roleplay as.

Mutual - A person who follows me and I follow them back

NPC - Technically a gamer term, this stands for a ‘non-player character.‘  In roleplaying, it’s a character that’s been created by a writer to help tell the story, but it isn’t one of their main characters.

OC - Acronym for ‘original character;’ a character you’ve created yourself.

OOC - Acronym for ‘out of character;’ when a conversation happens OOC, it’s taking place between you and me, not between our characters (i.e. muses)

PSA - Acronym for ‘public service announcement;‘  I mostly use this for posts about things I think people should know or things I agree with.  You might see it in conjunction with other words.  (Ex. Tumblr PSA, RP PSA, Life PSA, etc.)

RP - Acronym for ‘roleplay.’

RP Thread Tracker - A WONDERFUL, GODSEND of a website that allows you to keep track of your tumblr roleplays so you don’t forget or lose replies.  (Did I mention it’s free and incredibly user friendly?)

RPC - Acronym for ‘roleplay community’

Soft Block - When you block someone who’s following you and then immediately unblock them.  This process is essentially a good way to get someone to unfollow without permanently blocking them.

1.) What did you want to do with your life when you were younger? What would the child version of yourself think about the path you paved for yourself?

When I was younger I imagined my life would look an awful lot like my mom’s. Marry a man with a good job, be a house wife and live a seemingly happy life. When I was in high school that looked like marrying Finn and living in Lima. Strange how much life has changed.

2.) What is your proudest accomplishment? Don’t be afraid to  talk about what it took to achieve it and how you feel about it as well.

My proudest accomplishment is two things: giving up Beth as hard as it was, because it meant she had the best chance at a better life than Puck and I could have given her. And getting into Yale and graduating. I’m proud that I worked as hard as I did to accomplish those things and that I had incredible friends and my mom by my side while I did it.

3.) If you could do anything you wanted for one whole day, what would it be and why?

My perfect day would be sleeping in, taking my time getting ready for the day and choosing a nice dress with some makeup to go with it, grabbing some coffee with a friend and then having lunch with Shelby and Beth, maybe going to see a show or do some shopping and ending my day with a bubble bath and then some tea and takeout Chinese food, while in my coziest sweats watching something on Netflix. That would be a dream.

where are they now?

Quinn and Puck broke up with the long distance being too much. They still keep in touch as much as they can and Quinn sends him updates on Beth when she gets them. She see’s Beth maybe a few times a year at this point but she’s hoping to see her more in the future.

She visits home when she can but she’s keeping herself busy in New York with auditions almost every week and her café that she works at. It provides her with just enough to live her life happy and as content as she can all things considered.

She hasn’t dated anyone and truthfully she still has feelings for Puck but she puts those aside so the two can have a good solid friendship for Beth. She still keeps up with some friends from Lima but not everyone, though she wouldn’t mind getting in touch with others once again.

She still keeps in contact with her mom back in Lima, they talk a few times a week for the most part. She has zero contact with her father and very little to no contact with her sister Frannie. Though she wouldn’t mind that changing.

Biography: 

There was a time when the merfolk was united. It was over 400 hundred years ago. Talon perhaps looked as if he were only in his 30s, but he was much older than that. Old enough to have watched it as it fell apart. As a king signed an agreement to avoid bloodshed. He will never confirm or deny how it all impacted him. what he can say is that the split between the sirens and mermaid was a long time coming. Neither fulling trusting the other. It was an easy decision to walk away then. He never questioned his choice. Not even in modern day.

Talon lived notoriously as someone that barely paid attention to territory lines. Blurring them together but many didn’t question him as he did so. His known nature was that he was a siren, but one of the calmer ones. It is a deliberate mask he has with most out of the sea. Out of the ocean he went by a more palatable name to many of the humans that walked the island, Jiho was an incredibly talent tattoo artist. It had kept him in the tattoo parlor that the mermaids own. His talent and his seemingly endless patience for all the species he was surrounded by. It wasn’t necessarily far from the truth…

The siren didn’t care about much of the past he had lived through. Didn’t count how many people he had lost to the various battles between them and others. His hands weren’t clean of blood…

You see, he had a hunger. One that went beyond anarchy and chaos. His hunger was something he had been dealing with since being a wee siren. Drowning humans was nothing he specifically enjoyed but, taking a bite out of them, now that was something he could get behind. Devouring them so they were nothing but a missing person. Yes, that he loved. Craved. Known to the ravenous as something of a silent member, he didn’t participate in much of the chaos they looked to create. But if they needed to hide a body, well, he could certainly assist with that.

The death of the mayor was really, no surprise. He was human after all. Humans died. It was in their nature. The fact that the humans of the land decided it was one of the many creatures that roamed it was, also, something he could have seen coming. It wasn’t as if humans truly ever evolved from distrusting anyone and anything that didn’t fit their norm. again, wow, what a surprise.

What is more aggravating to him was how they treated half-bloods. He didn’t necessarily have stock in it all, but he wasn’t sure he believed any form of government should have been able to decide if parents could see their offspring. As far as he knew himself, he had no children but if he had, there was no way he would allow anyone to tell him if he could or couldn’t see them…

While he has these opinions, he generally doesn’t speak them unless asked. There would be no posters or protesting from him. but if a few assholes disappear over time? Well, who could say what happened to them….

For those lucky few that had lived in the time when he was younger. Talon was once a true monster of the ocean. He was the terrible story that was told on the high seas. Lulling men and women into whatever dreams would tantalize them so he could sink his teeth into them. Tear them apart. But time changes a person. The blood he shed in the fights back then, didn’t need to be dragged into the modern time.

This, however, is a reason he is feared amongst his own people, the sirens, and the mermaids of the ocean. As well as the dryad of the lands… After all, he never said he only ate humans…

Only 5? I could probably do 500. However, that's determined by what's considered my social circle. I'm often in my head being incredibly social continuously is really a challenge of mine. I'm always actively marching to something, my flame of passion when I have it, I can do some crazy stuff but it diminishes relatively quickly, so I try to cling. @under-the-blood-moonlight - Her sweetness and artwork and overall is just a friendly presence to be around. I cherish them so much. One I can jive with more darker undertones with. She's one the most hardworking and ambitiously creative people. I'd mail them infinite hugs if could. Thanks for being you! @roxinova - I owe a lot of credit to her. She's constantly OOC and everything was nudging me too be more inclusive to things and involved heavenly. It's rare for me. I'm really horrible about that my autism sets me back socially, I constantly will be drowned by the next day and be reverted back to better off alone, that's my major crux and weakness. But her thoughtfulness, these things, aren't ever foreign to me, I do pay attention probably better than any would ever give me credit. She's a beacon model to have as a friend. @corpse-dancer - Haven't ran into many words with them, but her character, screenshot game, expressiveness, they're all a marvel to constantly see, alongside her attitude and bringing life character. I do think if I were better, we would click quite splendidly. They've recently reminded and motivated me to pick-up my daily-practice, or try too. Keep being a rockstar. @fair-fae - Few who wouldn't know who she is in this community. She's been in my opinion a huge core. I'm certain she's inspired many who weren't even RPers too try it by seeing her at the Quicksands or elsewhere, a tyme ago. Making no exception, I was even one of those. I used to be in QS every-single day and was often doing my shameless stuff. Though her presence first did show me there's a lot more. I admire her in all fields. Also appreciate her adopting me to the FC and her always thinking of others and giving events, or her aesthetics and portrayal, its the epitome of swan elegance. @thorcat - One of my most treasured friends. Been RPing with them for a longtime. There's never anything complicated between us or a rift of drama, it's just let's go and have fun. We really mesh well, I've welcomed nearly ever character and got the privilege to RP with nearly all them. They always open up envelope and help me, settle on back and just laugh. Whether used to be waking up to their characters humping my afk one or use randomly having a hardcore banter between Ufah and Captain and capturing them as a voidal pet. Memories with them isn't something I'd ever want to lose. I love ya! Never stop enjoying life for anything. @lukawarrioroflight - I get in the gutter find myself lacking motivation or writing, discouraged even... But I never have felt, I could ever do any wrong with this person, they bring the light out of me. So no matter what, how many hospital-beds I yearly visit, it's because of this rare nature, that I come back, even if they're the only one's ever to read my stuff. I would do it for them alone. @scholarlybreadbun - I've only been back recently and they've so much warmth. Their presence is the sun of inviting. The couple and posing all the shipping that stuff makes me even melt. I'm not particularly talented in regards to posing couples, but I took notice of them along time ago and set on quietly improving. Really like them for them, wouldn't ever want them to change that. Ideally look forward to be in their orbit longer so I can bask in them. @seascrapes - Been mutual with them for a while. Their aesthetics and character is all S+ level. I appreciate throwing back tagged prompts with them, one of many people I really think would be enjoyable to collab with any other seafarers. The artwork and pieces of Tal Brook, are breathtaking as ever exceptionally too, not to mention. Love your stuff matey, you're a king. @mai-takeda - Is a myth. Her absolutely sheer friendliness and her attitude, are so positive influencing, I was so thrilled to be welcomed with her and boosted by them early on. I couldn't see myself, wanting to exist where they didn't have happiness like the same she always delivers by just doing so many soft-things. Not to mention her writing... She's a whole world to throw yourself gazes

under. @zhauric - It doesn't go far either without the same breath of Mai, I could say about Zhauric. He's someone worthy to look-up and also recognize they're passionate and inviting, hoisting up literally everything. Could easily find any of their characters comrades with my own, or jiving alongside. Not to mention last XIVWrite, they slaughtered it. So enjoyable to read them all. I like how organized their blog is too, motivated me recently to redux my entire thing. @cadrenebula - They have so many diverse characters and their entire roster is vibrant and is imbued with a massive flux of life. They are able to encapsulate so many character's voices and portray them so effectively too, I really admire that greatly. They've made me think bigger and try myself recently at actually undertaking a huge roster of characters too. I've taken many breaks, but I always am so graciously returned often with them close-by and that's so incredibly sacred. I've seen a lot of people get discouraged or quit, leave, departure, etc. But they always seem to have a bigger house then they had last I took a break and I enjoy peaking in. @silvernsteel - Her artist and gif-work are awe-aspiring, there's little unrecognizable by her photo-sets and edits. They helped me even tip-toe into uncharted with giving me the recipes to try incorporating gifs into my arsenal. Plus so delightfully pleasant to actually talk with and just chill. I want nothing less in life, than the beauty they give, to be returned to them for eternity in all their glorious air. If ever needed anything of me, they've got me. @spotofmummery - We talk about passion or friendliness or overall a person to even remotely try to be, I got to include them. Their web-series and writing, screen-work, everything they do is fantastic. And that's furthered back nearly any I've met showcase or immortalize how just genuine of stellar person they are. I wish them always the energy to create and sparks. @snow-covered-moon - They've never been anything less but absolutely a diamond to know. I enjoy their character, their almost always abundant of energy that's very rub inducing. Their WoL character stories, writing, screen-shots, everyday they open up a new pandora box of joy, there's no mistaken love behind their character and that's infectiously easy to also enjoy something when the author does too. Always healthy to be around, I never feel short of vitality when they're close-by. @letheofthelost - Always cheerful or least encapsulates with me, they're a carnival ride. Just pure epic story-telling and engaging equally as passionate, constantly writing characters, not looking for anything outside of RP or anything really just being their selves, they fade all others. I love their presence, them as a person. Enjoy any character they'll ever come and throw under me, or a change of pace. Always feels easily understandable between one another. @crow-iv - Together we're an unfiltered, unstoppable wake of pure passionate writers and art. But I would say they're far ahead of me, in every regard. Already able to portray multiple characters in a scene and do such in-depth thinking, alongside even sketch or draw right afterwards or a scene. They're so talented, huge reason I set-out on giving them a Crew of cast and actual stories to-tell when I'm actually caught up and if they interested and we both have the room, I really think if further myself, I can be better and supply more for them to draw and I want to see them soar. I want to give them all my improvements and effectiveness. @trishelle - They've such a reinforcing personality and aura around them that easily bolsters anything that dares thinking they're about to be depleted so energizing. Aesthetics, characters, all them are so lively that further compliment their own mun's great welcoming presence. Worth hundreds of smiles and stars, keep high. Wish I had more time to dedicate to learning you! But I do notice and appreciate you. @fracturedfantasia - One of my people, I like to retreat and just talk my full

head-cannons with or learn, share insightful and inquisitive thoughts about philosophies and multi-culture things. Or plotting and in-general, they're a well of information and brimming ideas, they are every making of what makes a quality friend. When you can generally be open-about-all that's a real one right there. Their characters and tarot readings, I always would implore if they're offering. Thanks for giving me any-time. You're truly a treasure. @violet-warder - Never have even came to words with them yet unfortunately but didn't mean as a mutual, I haven't admired all their screenies, writing, or the aesthetics they bring of their character. Glamours is real end-game, I like all what you've done and put together. I care strictly about what represent and give, I don't want to see them ever think anyone want's them gone, they are abundantly so talented and possess things only they can deliver. I think recently came back too, and I'm glad to share, hopefully, overtime I can build you better up. Or eventually even talk, but I'm certain you are a busy-body person too, so we're relatable. @layla-grey - I have a lot of underline issues that set me back as a flawed person, but I've never not been anything but someone who's open, it's why I always do include my f-list in anything or etc. I'm not here to present this facade, and really don't care to be an image crafted by another. No one as of recently or now, am I close with as an RP partner or friend with then this stunning masterpiece. I never let-up on story-telling or anything so I can eventually use my Crew or other Characters, to give them anytime a master entertaining day, they push me to not be short-changed. IC and OOC I would devote my full attention too cause they've never shed from me. Didn't ever matter how much silence or anything, they're always around. And don't expect anything out of me or pressure. Just accept me and I equally share that sentiment, I want you to have everything in this world has to offer. ----- This is just a fraction of people, I've paid attention, noticed or know. I've been around in this Community for many years. There's a lot of things I could say about it, more probably then anyone else. But what matters to me, is recognizing the people who are here, that work hard, build others up, support, constantly are a beam. I don't need to interact with everyone, to know when someone is generally out for good. Or they're out for bad I've learned inquisitiveness longtime ago, I had to survive and remain afloat. I just go out and be me, and along the way, I get to find people like these, who help bring out the best me. I am nothing without these people, creators, writers, artist. I'm a terrible friend, horrible person, I don't have the energy to interact NEARLY with as much as I'd like with you all, If I could clone myself, or if things were different, I would drop it all to be in your orbits more if could. But, do know I appreciate you. This is three Inception levels deep nonsense (The Old Guard > football alternate universe > “RPF” within this football universe) but I’m OBSESSED with thinking what the in-universe fandom is like. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out The Beautiful Game before you @ me.

Yusuf/Booker: MAJOR FANDOM SHIP. This ship attracts fans from rival clubs. Even AC Milan fans hate-follow Yooker on IG just to view their stories. There are wonderful, moderate Yooker fans, and then there are some SERIOUS DELULUS who comment on every IG post that Yusuf and Booker make with 4th wall breaking bad shit like “THIS REMINDS ME OF CHAPTER 14 OF [YOOKER FIC WITH 1000 KUDOS ON AO3]

Booker’s fanon characterization: major yt boi woobie, he is somehow the main character in 75% of Yooker fics, reflecting the unconscious racial biases of the fandom. He is granted all sorts of magical powers and leading roles in the most egregious AUs. Top or Bottom Booker discourse is something you never want to touch with a 10 foot pole. Top!Booker fans basically never interact with Bottom!Booker fans since the Great Fanwars of bad discourse.

Yusuf’s fanon characterization: depends on which part of fandom you look at, Yusuf is either the Gary Stu of Gary Stus, or some sort of Manic Pixie Dream Boy who fixes Broken White Boy Booker and helps him achieve his dreams. The most popular Yusuf POV fic is one in which he is a quasi-James Bond type character, and Booker is some sexy villain that seduces him on a mission. Fans with a Yusuf bias tend to be...the coolest part of fandom, and they have an incredible skillset in producing gifs/edits/media from clips of Yusuf floating on the internet (that Armani ad has been milked to death 28937428934 ways)

Yusuf/Nichi, aka “Yucky”: only Fandom Olds ship this, and even so it’s kinda a rarepair since so many left the fandom. It was a bit of a thing back in 2021, but like, there was this post about how problematic the Yucky BNFs were and everyone did a hate-pile on and since then Yucky’s kinda...an icky ship no one wants to touch.

The Yucky fans are disturbingly literate, and write incredibly prescient fics, but also kinda weirdly elitist about it. A group of Yucky fans, who apparently attend Ivy League-level colleges, made an exclusive community of fanfic writers where they write fics for each other. It’s this elitist group that attracted the hate. A lot of the good Yucky fics have either been deleted or orphaned on AO3, because their authors work in governmental-level positions now. The best Yucky fanfic is a space academia AU written by an actual PhD candidate and the quality of that fic is like...Margaret Atwood style prose.

Nicky’s fanon characterization: The Yucky writers write Nicky as a thoughtful, intelligent human being (despite...the misspelled tattoo and Eurotrash haircuts), which the Yooker shippers think is extremely OOC. These days (in the year of our lord 2027), Nicky is often the stock villain in Yooker fics. In Yooker fics, he is always some sort of weird possessive ex-boyfriend (of Booker, surprise twist), bc Booker is the woobie that needs to be saved from the evil captain by Yusuf.

Booker/Lykon: the cute happy corner of the most sensible fans. They know they’re not a big ship, but they love each other, and they write the cutest fics and they’ve offended no one.

Rachida/Booker: this pairing surged in popularity during the Women’s World Cup, for that enemies to lovers dynamic. However, as a het ship, just doesn’t reach the heights of Yooker, and is kinda seen as a crack thing.

Nile/Booker: someone wrote this fic after Nile 1 Booker 0 (it’s super porny and basically consists of Nile domming the heck out of Booker), and everyone went crazy over it like OMG THIS IS THE BEST CRACK...two months later WAT THE HECK THIS SHIP IS REAL??? 

Yooker fans pretty much have a total meltdown at the reveal that Nile/Booker is canon. Most go into delulu mode, and write compensatory fanfics in which Booker is somehow so deeply closeted he marries Nile to prove he is very het, but then he goes back to training at Inter and he can’t resist Yusuf anymore. The worst Yooker fans make Nile a total bitch, but they are just a vocal minority (like 10% of the fandom). Most Yooker fans continue because they are still being fed new content on an extremely regular basis, like when Booker posts photos of shakshuka captioned “brunch with the bestie”. Another 10-15% of the Yooker fandom start writing Nile/Booker/Yusuf threesome fics.

Andy/Booker: ...why. But they exist. They often get hate for the age gap in their ship.

Unfortunately, no one really knows that Quynh/Booker are a thing, although it is known Andy and Quynh are married (I think the...Olympic ski fandom is like...minuscule). But Andy + Quynh/doing kinky things to Booker fics exist on the internet.

On the eve of Yusuf’s wedding to Nichi, Booker gets invited to spa day with Yusuf. Of course he posts about this on his IG “spa day with the bestie”, which sparks 283291321932 Yooker angst fics. The predominant plotstrains are: (1a) Booker has been secretly in love with his best friend the whole time, and finally confessions to his friend at the spa. Yusuf calls off the wedding, and Yooker ride into the sunset. (1b) Yusuf and Booker have been on and off the whole time, and Yusuf confesses to Booker that he has doubts on his compatibility with Nichi. Booker makes a grand romantic gesture, and Yusuf calls off the wedding, and Yooker ride into the sunset. (3) Nichi is forcing Yusuf to marry him for [flimsy reason]. Booker, the hero of the day, swings in to saves Yusuf from abusive big bad Nichi. (4) Blatant pwp hammam porn fic

Disgraced Sultansworn: Those among the ranks of the Sultansworn might remember a promising trainee -- a legacy, whose father Samuel was a highly regarded Sultansworn elite who died in the line of service about ten turns ago -- who was disbarred from the Order a few years ago on an accusation of dereliction of duty. By all accounts, the lurid details of how he lost his standing are hot, unforgiving, and quite scandalous. But the rumors are blown out of proportion, right? They must be. Nobody’s that stupid.

Immortal Flames Animosity: Jared has an open distaste for the Immortal Flames as an institution and for anyone who bears its symbol as an officer, with very few notable exceptions. He will actively disrupt any investigation into civilian matters that he believes is outside the Flames' jurisdiction as a military force. Rivals? Could be fun.

Private Guard: Though he's picky about who he takes personal guard contracts from, Jared has been known to lend his sword and shield to individuals for private business, adventuring, and security escort needs. He won't agree to be anyone's permanent bodyguard, but he might just be your man for short-term or one-off endeavors.

Dancer for Hire (18+): Not content with his guard's salary, Jared also moonlights in some less than reputable places. Long Time Coming

I’ve kept my mouth shut on this for a very long time. 

Last year I cut ties with an incredibly toxic player in the FFXIV community. Most of you know them as either Yosei Ittetsu or Vincent Arius.

Sometime around the end of September/beginning of October I ended a long running RP Ship with the player and quit his FC. This came after months of gas lighting, lying, manipulation, and just down right being used.

I’d spent some time getting to know them and their RL Partner so as to get the blessing to ship our characters together as Koa’s (the name the player goes by) partner didn’t feel comfortable with them shipping with anyone but themselves. 

I later learned that once I got the approval to ship with Koa, that they then went behind my back and their partner’s back and attempted to ship with other people under the guise of “I’ve been allowed to multi ship”. The timeline for that was around Mayish of 2019.

Throughout the tenure of our friendship and RP, Koa insisted OOCly that their partner was abusive and controlling. Something I have come to doubt. A partner feeling uncomfortable with their SO shipping/ERPing with other people isn’t all that uncommon or unreasonable. 

That being said, Koa would share screenshots with myself and others of fights they would have with their partner, carefully cropped to show certain parts of the fight that would cast their partner in the worst light. So naturally, we believed him.

So other friends and I agreed to help Koa ship/ERP in secret because we wanted to find a way to give them autonomy over themself. I regret this. Not only because it was incredibly disrespectful to a RL relationship, but because of the hurt it eventually caused other people later on.

This is going to get wordy, so please bear with me as I place the rest under a read me.

Koa and I agreed to a poly ship. One that would include myself, their RL partner’s character, and a third--my friend Noise. The agreement with the ship was that Tegah, Gan, and Noise would all be a “Table” poly setting and each could have extraneous partners if--and only if--we were comfortable with it OOC and our characters were comfortable with it IC. Meaning, there needed to be communication. This agreement extended only to the three as Koa stressed that they were only shipping with their RL partner to keep OOC peace and because they felt obligated to.

Very quickly things became very odd. I say that because often times Koa would wait until I needed to go to bed, and/or their RL partner would be at work (they worked nights) to initiate ship or ERP related RP. And if I was around for any of that RP, I was always shoved to the side and made to feel more like an accessory than an actual RP partner.

I tried several times to address this with Koa only to be gaslit and told that he was the one always feeling left out because he had to work around the confines of his “Abusive” RL partner and because Gan and Noise had a more in-depth story driven background with one another and knew each other better than Yosei and Noise knew each other.

My complaints would be invalidated and I’d always end up trying to help Koa find ways to solve their issues. Only for the circle to repeat itself.

Twice my character Gan found external partners. Both times I made sure going forward that both Koa and Noise were okay with it. And I was given their blessings. Both times, Koa attempted to insert their character into the relationship and sleep with the partner. The first one was successful. The second time not so much.

As time progressed, it became more and more clear that Koa’s main focus was drawing attention to themself and ERP. Mostly the latter if I’m being honest. Every time I turned around, I was learning of a new character that Yosei was gunning for and trying to sleep with. And it was always played off as a joke until it actually happened.

At some point one of the infatuations turned into another possible ship partner for the group. This is where Batu, one of my dearest friends comes in to the story. Koa had been selling Batu to Noise and I under the understanding that Batu was happy to simply be a fling/fuck buddy for the group. Meanwhile, he was selling to Batu the story that the group was looking for a 4th member. All the while neglecting to explain the truth to Batu as to how the ship worked despite him asking IC and OOC.

One very awkward night of RP where Gan brought over her side partner and Koa made many pointed comments about how we should all have an Orgy. (Which their RL partner asked about and Koa flat out lied to them). Batu learned how the ship worked on and IC and OOC level and had revealed that he’d been lied to the entire time. Or at the very least, misled.

So Batu decided to leave the group on an IC basis. Naturally, feelings were hurt OOC. And very much so IC as Gan and Batu had begun to fall for one another, and Noise and Batu were starting to grow close.

During this period of time, Batu ICly went to the Steppes to deal with the loss. Tegah/Yosei’s solution was to “fuck away the sad”. Because... yeah. 

At this time an FC member had their character go check on Batu and inform him of some RP stuff that had left Gan unwell. Batu returned and relationships were able to be repaired between Batu, Gan, and Noise. Batu expressed OOC that there was no desire to attempt with Koa again as he’d left feeling very used IC and OOC.

Naturally the characters did run into one another and it ended in conflict at which point Koa decided to metagame. He chose that moment to decide that it was his character that sent our FC member after Batu. There’d been no discussion over the course of the two weeks that all this had happened. Koa had just decided on the spot, something that was verified by the FC member.

When called out, Koa lied about meta-gaming. We even offered up logs to which he still lied and denied, saying they’d been talking about it for a while. Our FC member firmly refutes this and gave us logs to support. 

At that point, after months of being pushed to the side for other RP’s, gaslit regarding my issues, lied to, etc, I decided to end my RP partnership with Koa. I offered to stay around for the FC as I was the one running events and pushing for things to happen. But the day after that decision, Koa decided that we’d been leading the FC in the wrong direction (Despite being the one to tell us to go in that RP route) and that he wasn’t happy with how things were going.

Admittedly, I took this as a stab at me. Because I was the one running events, the one trying to keep things active for our FC members, and had suggested stepping back from Suisei Ramen the first time as there would be no way to balance it, FC RP, and personal RP all at once. It was then that I closed the book on all ties with Koa. I wanted nothing to do with them IC or OOC. He was immediately blocked from all my social media accounts and all websites I’d hosted on behalf of him and his FC were handed over.

This is where things become most important. Months after the fact, Koa openly admitted in a google doc he was spreading around in an attempt to defame me, that he’d been stalking my accounts either personally or through mutuals looking for anything he could use against me. 

I--in my naivety--had kept my mouth shut for the most part in the hopes that we could end things amicably and just move on. Almost a year later and I’m making this post because I’m still being harassed by Koa.

Since October of 2019, Koa has attempted to stir the pot time and again. Trying to oust me from RP communities. defame me, accuse me of plagiarism. (Most of this was while knowing I was heavily pregnant IRL and under a lot of stress) As recently as July 5, 2020, this person has been trying to cause issues. On the date mentioned, he attempted to insert himself into RP with Noise and I. Both of us have expressly stated we want nothing to do with him and want him to leave us alone and knowing that, still tried to put himself in our small group of RP.

Since leaving Koa, a lot of things have come to light. First and foremost, he was badmouthing me to my closest friends. Insisting I had an OOC affair going with a ship partner of mine. I’m married IRL. Koa knew this. And knowing this, attempted to spread that lie to push people away from me. Specifically, my friend Batu who was the one he told this to.

He blamed Batu’s IC/OOC departure on me, because I was uncomfortable with a concept he was trying to push for the second time. The concept being to have his character Yosei/Tegah gender swap to a woman and sleep with Gan’s partner. The first time it occurred was with a side relationship Gan had with another player. Koa wanted to have their character gender swap, sleep with Gan’s partner without the character knowing and possibly get pregnant. When asked about my opinion, I expressed that I wasn’t all that thrilled with it and that Gan would be angry/jealous. To which he insisted I was wrong and that Gan would find it funny.

The second instance was because Batu had more interest in Gan than Tegah/Yosei. At which point Koa decided it would be fun to try and force a race between his character and Gan as to who would have our ship partner Noise’s children first, knowing that there was a plot point set up for when that would inevitably happen. Again he adamantly stated that Gan wouldn’t be upset and find it funny, and that if she didn’t want it to happen she should just get pregnant back to back with each partner’s children. (At this time she was supposed to be pregnant with Yosei/Tegah’s baby. A fact that I later retconned.)

Koa continually went behind mine and all our ship partners backs to ERP with other characters. Ship with other characters. Shit talk me, and other people. When he’d be denied ERP, he’d turn and try to convince people that the person in question was actually after HIM for ERP and not the other way around.

Many people have come forward to me with information regarding his behavior. Unfortunately I don’t have permission to share their stories as they’ve asked to be left out of any public call outs.

Koa/Yosei/Tegah/Vincent Arius is nothing more than a toxic individual obsessed with ERP, Attention, and playing victim as much as possible. Almost a year later and he is still harassing me, blaming me when things go wrong, defaming, and causing me drama. I’ve had enough. If even ONE person finds comfort in knowing they aren’t the only one he’s caused problems for, then it’ll be worth it.

And as always, I’m more than happy to answer any questions regarding this post that people might have. I’d love to share more logs and screencaps, but I do respect people’s privacy and I still don’t want to shit on their RL relationship any more than revealing this stuff will do.

BEST EXPERIENCE:  Probably the people I have met here in the DARP community. Some of you are my closest friends, and I find that even with distance and time between us, we can still pick up like we’ve never stopped, and I really love that. Real life is busy and sometimes you just can’t talk all the time, and you guys understand that. I miss my days in the Transformers fandom, but mostly because I was younger and more carefree (the place was very toxic). Being able to write Kaaras has been such an amazing experience over the years, and I’m a lot wiser for it. 

PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: Pet peeves, too much ooc content and too many RL (modern) FC posts on my dash. I don’t mind fantasy/medieval ones, but when I see FC��s with mobiles in a world I don’t write in, it feels very out of place for me. I have a really odd thing with FCs. Not a deal breaker, though. Dealbreakers?  Just don’t be a cunt. If you’re policing people how to write and being a cunt on my dash, I’m not interested. Callout posts are childish no matter who you are. I don’t care for your excuses and your white knightery. I’m too old for that shit, and it looks disgusting even if you’re trying to take the moral high ground. Just unfollow and be done with it. You don’t like the way they said or write something, then act like an adult and deal with it maturely. Leave the high school drama at high school. Politics is also a big thing that is starting to piss me off as well. I work hard every day, in healthcare, in the middle of a pandemic, on the front line... the last fucking thing I want to do when I get home is see bullshit politics on my dash when I deal with fuck heads all day at work. I’m here to WRITE and enjoy myself, not deal with the real world and its politics, let alone seeing people ‘splain. If I wanted to deal with that, I’d just stay at work all day. 

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT:  All. I’m a fan of all of it, so long as there’s chemistry between the characters and we’re going somewhere with it.

PLOTS OR MEMES:  I love both. Admittedly, memes are probably the best ice breakers for me, because I don’t have a lot of time to plot anymore--that and being so tired from work makes my brain frizzle out and I can’t even THINK of plots. Memes spike interest because some of the best PLOTS have come from memes. Both have their place, I’m just a tired old man who can’t think of plots much anymore, which is sad because I used to have so many ideas. Whether it’s because I’ve been writing Kaaras for so long that nothing seems new anymore? Or I’m just very tired and my poor, Aspie brain is too filled for new ideas to come in. IDK. But memes are a good way to start things! Also, they can be really random which makes Kaaras react in ways I’m surprised! But once we write a few times, then plots will be sure to come, and I do love discussing them! When I have the brain capacity :( 

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES:  Unless it’s just short bits of dash commentary or a one-off, I prefer longer threads. It’s difficult for me to delve into anything in a short reply. (Fox pretty much hit the nail on the head, so I’m keeping their response here).

BEST TIME TO WRITE: Whenever I have a day off work. Fridays are generally my best, because I’m home alone and have all the space to myself. Weekends I need to do errands, groceries and like to spend some time with my partner playing games or whatever. Generally speaking, Monday--Thursday I’m pretty dead tired. 

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S):  In some ways, for sure. We both have very high moral compasses, and we both see people as people. Kaaras has a lot more patience than I do, and is certainly kinder and more forgiving. We are both neurodivergent, and we both require our alone time to recharge. Kaaras is far more poetic than I could ever wish to be, and we’re both very blunt (although Kaaras is better at dealing with confrontation than I am). I would say that we can both be very quick to detatch ourselves from anyone/thing that is toxic as well. Both of us are absolutely fuelled with rage when it comes to seeing innocent people being harmed as well--he definitely gets that from me lol. We both love animals and have farm experience. But we are also VERY different in many ways, too.

Connection Description: this is an angst-ridden and kind of painful connection, so here it goes: isaac bradford met bernadette beauchamp (sam’s mother), very well aware that she was grieving the loss of her first husband and father to her first son (dae-hyun). how they started dating is UTP, but isaac was very involved and fulfilled bernadette’s dream of having a perfect little family when, after being together for four years, sam was born. isaac was incredibly doting and very involved. the main thing he bonded over with sam was music, encouraging his son to try his hand at different instruments from a young age and teaching him how to play the piano as well as the guitar. whether isaac made music for a living or whether it was just a hobby, is UTP but music played a very important part in his life, as well as in the relationship between him and sam. everything was fine and dandy until isaac left, when sam was ten years old. i have some ideas on the reason as to why isaac and bernadette broke up, but ultimately it’s a matter of plotting/UTP. isaac remained in touch with sam for a year or two, though over time the letters and visits became less and less until all contact broke off completely and isaac was never to be heard from again. how and why he tracked down sam is UTP, though, seeing as sam harbors a lot of resentment for his father, isaac would have to be the one to reach out. it would tear open a wound for sam (and by extension dae-hyun), and the reunion would be incredibly dramatic, very angst-filled and super duper painful. this connection would also work for a temporary character, so pls don’t hesitate to reach out because i would love to plot everything a lot more thoroughly. <3

If you had to describe your muse as a canon Hunger Games character, or mix, who would you compare them to and why? I would say Satin is very much a combination of past District 1 Tribute’s Marvel/Glimmer/Gloss/Cashmere. He is very classically pretty, and has spent a good chunk of his life preparing for the games. He 100% believes he is Victor material, and he is willing to do anything to achieve it. Just like them he’s also charismatic and knows how to work the audience into liking him because of his good looks and full charm offensive.

Word around The Capitol is that they’re DECISIVE & SHREWD but can also be ARROGANT & SHALLOW. According to sources, they’re 24 and were once described as A SWEAT BEATEN FOREHEAD BENEATH DARK CURLS, MANICURED FINGERS GRIPPING A GILDED SWORD HANDLE, EXPOSED FOREARMS IN A SHIMMERING TANK TOP & DETERMINED FILLED BROWN EYES. What a character! As we always say, may the odds be ever in their favor!

biography

Satin comes from a very well to do family in District 1, his father owned a diamond mine, along with two corundum mines. His mother was a very popular furrier who made designs very popular with Capitol residents. Their son in their eyes was their ticket to the Capitol. If he won the Hunger Games and became a Victor perhaps it would be enough to take that final step to become residents of the Capitol themselves. It was because of this ambition that they made sure their son wanted for nothing in terms of a proper Career Tribute education making sure that when the time came Satin would have incredibly high odds of winning. 

It was because of this upbringing that Satin now believes winning the Hunger Games is his birthright, having the fame and success that comes with being a Victor should be his. He views the other tributes as just more obstocles that are in his way to get what is his. That does not mean he is cold, or callous, while Satin may have an air of being above others he can be very charming and friendly when it suits his needs and if it helps him get what he wants from someone. 

It is also because of this way of viewing life that has led Satin to at the end of the day try and distance himself from actual possible friends, and connections. Yes, alliances are good but they eventually must end. At times this has left him feeling lonely, but he promises that when he wins the games it will all be worth it, and then he can form actual friendships with his fellow victors. Until then he will keep pushing himself to do whatever he feels he has to do to win the games, and make his parents proud for finally attaining what they’ve always wanted him to.

Oliver Grey was born in the United States of America, and grew up in the lower class. As a child his family did not have much of anything, despite a two-parent working household. His mother was a waitress at a local diner, and his father was a machine operator at a local manufacturing company. Growing up, Oliver was often picked on for his hand-me-down and thrift store clothes, not having new school supplies or shoes or even a new haircut to start off each school year. He learned early on to live well below the average. Despite all of his family's struggles, he was highly intelligent, proving himself academically from kindergarten on.

When Oliver was 10, his father got involved with a crowd of extremely shady characters. Although his father had never interacted with those who lived on the illegal side of life, he was desperate and looking for any way to generate more income for his family. So, he was initiated into the crowd, and became a low-level drug dealer. As his father was well-known in their community as a trustworthy person, his client base began booming, and soon he had pulled Oliver's mother into the mix of things. It didn't take long for the family's socioeconomic status to change drastically. Both of his parents fell into the graces of the higher-ups within the 'organization' they'd begun working for, and quickly became trusted members. Unfortunately, their rise in monetary status gained the attention of the local authorities, and things got dangerous quickly for the family.

Given that they' become targets, the leader of their organization (who had been looking to expand his base for some time, having dominated North America) made the decision to protect them, versus tossing them aside. So, he funded the family's move to Spain, directing the Greys on how to 'establish' their own 'branch' of the organization overseas, while still feeding into the primary operation in North America. The Greys have maintained their loyalty, and have only continued to generate more and more money for themselves.

They are now an incredibly wealthy family, his father the leader of the operation in Spain, his mother the right-hand. They operate under the guise of a very successful bakery, which his mother and aunt (whom the family moved overseas shortly after their own departure) operate. Oliver himself remained focused solely on academics throughout his life in both countries, and is known as being a top contender at Las Dalton Encinas. However, he did begin dealing shortly after entering college, using his well-liked status at school to generate more income. Really, he is saving up as much money as possible to break away from his family and exit the life. Despite his parents both remaining incredibly loving and tender, Oliver hates what the money and crime life has done to his once humble and ethical parents. That's his secret to keep, though, and it's something he struggles heavily with privately, his heart breaking at the thought of leaving his home and family behind.

1.) What did you want to do with your life when you were younger? What would the child version of yourself think about the path you paved for yourself?

It depends on which day of the week you asked her. All jokes aside, I went through a few different phases when it comes to goals, but ultimately what I've always wanted was to be loved. While also being independent and not needing to be loved. I suppose I'm doing alright for myself. I haven't fake laughed at any rich men just because they're rich in a while and I consider that a plus.

2.) What is your proudest accomplishment? Don’t be afraid to  talk about what it took to achieve it and how you feel about it as well.

Beth. Being a teen mom wasn't something I chose, but keeping her healthy while she grew inside of me and then being grown enough myself to give her up when I knew that I couldn't handle being a parent was the best thing I've ever done in my entire life. It might be the best thing that I ever do.

3.) If you could do anything you wanted for one whole day, what would it be and why?

Again, it depends on what day of the week it is. Are we talking supernatural here? Sometimes, I need relaxation. Sometimes, I need excitement. Sometimes, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic and would like to go back in time to talk to myself or other people in my life. Sometimes, I wish I could see into the future.

where are they now?

After everything with Biff, Quinn realized that she needed to change her perspective on a few things again. This was nothing new for her as the resident queen of transformation in Ohio. It's a common theme for her that she decides that doing one big, crazy thing will solve all of her problems and turn her life entirely around. Chasing someone that her early high school self would have gone for made her realize that she was backsliding. Her way of trying to undo that was to change her standards, which landed her with Puck again, then a string of questionable relationships for a while and that brought on the realization that focusing on any man was the wrong move.

She needed to focus on herself. Reflecting on herself, her parents, and her past, she thought about how she had always thought that the best she could hope for was to live out her peak in high school and marry someone that would support her and keep her living comfortably as a house wife and stay at home mom with the least amount of drama possible. But she had learned in her senior year and as a young adult that she didn't need to wait for a man. She could get her own.  

The most obvious starting point was figuring out what she was doing at Yale and what she wanted to do afterwards, where she had been studying theatre. Thinking about what she wanted with life, she imagined herself as Glenn Close's Cruella, Wilhelmina Slater, or any other high powered, classy girl boss----- though it didn't necessarily have to be fashion she focused on, she was more interested in other things. Barbie was another idol as a little girl, and she now had a huge interest in women in politics as well. Women's rights were incredibly important to her. No amount of work was too much. She had experience in leadership and organization from being a cheer captain and sorority president at Yale. In high school, she had done a lot with music and performing and it had transformed her in a way that nothing else had been able to before it.

She knew that if she stopped performing and singing, it might lead to issues in her character due to the lack of soul in her life, especially since she was planning on being single again for quite some time. Planning ahead, she took on a job at the Smythe law offices that paid well enough for her to save up while she finished college. She already had a good deal of money (especially in Ohio standards) but she needed more to complete her plan. At the end of it all, she owned her own theater on Broadway where she was able to make sure that there was a place that offered fair and diverse casting for productions that were worth producing, and she was able to perform whenever she wanted. It also meant that she got to put her experience planning events into action, because she could use her establishment for anything she wanted and she wanted to enrich the community. With the defunding of Planned Parenthood, she immediately put the money down to keep a few struggling branches open and continues to do what she can to donate to keep access to healthcare open to all.

OLIVER BRAY: He was the first person that Quinn went to see after she dyed her hair pink. As a skank, she got all of her illegal goods from him. He supplied her with cigarettes, weed (mostly edible), and some pills. She wasn't ever what you would imagine as a huge addict, but she did get pretty hooked on the pills and had to cut him out of her life when she went back to the blonde so that she wasn't tempted to keep taking pills. They've run into each other more than a few times since then, every time they do they date, and almost always because Quinn reached out and contacted Oliver. He was one of her questionable relationships after the canon season finale but it ended amicably again when he went on to LA and she went back to Yale.

FRANNIE FABRAY: They were more distant as kids and teens because Quinn always felt like everything she could do, Frannie had already done twice as good as she'd ever be able to because she was older and wiser and just better all around. Being kind seemed so easy to Frannie too, people liked her so much. But when Quinn finally grew up and got her hands on her own success, the rivalry disappeared.

SEBASTIAN SMYTHE: The two are close friends, which is no surprise because they were both villains in their own right before turning over their prospective leaves and becoming better people. They can talk to each other candidly without the other judging them. She's also grateful for his help with the job at his father's law office while she was in college, because it not only paid better than anything else she could have done and worked with her schedule but it allowed her to make contacts with money makers.

THE UNHOLY TRINITY: I want it known that Quinn is still the leader of the Unholy Trinity and she still makes sure that they all hang out all of the time. She might be a third wheel but she never feels like it.

MERCEDES JONES: I'd like them to have continued to be close since the Jones family allowed Quinn to stay with them while she was pregnant. I'd also like her to continue to talk to the Jones parents as if they were second parents to herself as well. Her own dad gave her nothing but daddy issues, so I can see her really clinging to a second family.

his brow furrows as he considers the question asked , never having put too much thought into the strange rumors and happenings that only occurred in pleasance as far as he was concerned. he gives a light nonchalant shrug of his shoulders , “ i’m guessin’ summit paranormal might be goin’ on in pleasance er maybe i’m just a few brassers short of a whore house. “ bryce arches an eyebrow  , turning the second half of their question over in his head for a few moments, “ not sure i know what yer gettin’ at exactly , but i suppose it’s just all off the top o’ me head then. haven’t got any proof to support any of my blarney theories , if that’s what yer askin’. “   

why did you come to pleasance ? do you have any plans of leaving ?

bryce heaves a sigh as the next question is thrown at him , there was little the irishman disliked more than having to explain to others how or why he wound up in pleasance all those years ago. the big man drops into the thin , rickety wooden chair and tipped his head back to stare at the ceiling , “ made a right hames of me life back in dublin. me da’ was a feckin’ holy joe arsehole , so i legged it right the ‘ell outta’ there to the land o’dreams. what else ? “ he sat up straight , leaning forward to rest elbows on knees , “ to be honest witch’ye , can’t even tell ye how i ended up in pleasance anymore , probably just looking for a kip to crash in for the night but instead i grew roots. it’s a mystery why i decided to stay , but i just found a decent enough gaff an’ never really had any reason to leave. “ 

what is your favorite spot in town ? 

a smile actually graced the man’s face for the first time since the conversation started though , if you asked bryce , it was more of an interrogation. the smile proving just how handsome he was and providing if just a hint of the true warmth he held within. the bouncer stands to his full six feet , golden brown eyes roaming his small kitchen for his forgotten now warm beer , “ there’s a few places i frequent , fer keeps is a great shop an’ red hot pussy liquors is always a massive time. “ he moves to retrieve his newly found beer , but continues to speak , “ if we’re not talkin’ establishments , i’d hafta’ say northwood lake seein’ as i enjoy a good , quiet walk by moonlight on occasion even if that poor dead lass does lurk about. “  an easy shrug as the irishman takes a swig from the beer bottle now in hand.

what do you think of lourdes mason ? 

a roll of the eyes is the man’s immediate reaction , “ when’re ya’ll gonna’ give that geebag a rest ? no one’s chiseller can go on survivin’ in a feckin’ tree ! plus , it’s been such a holy show for donkey’s years , so why hasn’t anyone ever gone lookin’ in’te the shite ? “ it was his turn to pose questions , leaning back into the kitchen counter as he arched an inquisitorial eyebrow in the other’s direction , “ can’t think much’a someone ye’ve never met or seen , can ye ? as fer the gossip , just a bunch’a small town blather if ye ask me.“

the man chuckled as he finished off his warm beer and tossed it into the glass bin for recycling , “ i’ve actually been compared to a feckin’  animated rabbit before if ye can believe that er not , some bigwig er summit. “ the more inebriated bryce became the more noticeable his accent was and it was slowly creeping up on him. this question was probably the hardest for him to answer yet , but only for the fact he’d never truly given it any thought. a few quiet moments pass as he moves across the room to his almost comically small fridge  , pulling the door open and hunching slightly to peer inside only to find it void of anymore beer. with an unhappy huff he shuts the refrigerator door and turns back to face the other , “ i guess if i had teh choose it’d be that cute hoor , whas’s name ? gambit , believe it is... bit of a skiver really , but he can definitely put the heart crossways in ye. not too bad lookin’ either , aye ? “

the last question had the irishman nearly ready to go into complete shut down mode and ask the nosy individual to leave his home , but he was able to steel himself after a brief moment of jaw clenching. bryce cleared his throat to fill the now awkward silence , shoving big hands into his jean pockets and dropping honied hues to the old linoleum floor , “ me greatest fear is just... teh past catchin’ up t’me. rejection might be another , if ye count that kind of thing. “ a light scoff as he was berated by more of the personal questions , talk about adding insult to injury  , “  oi , what do ye think ? o’course it’s irrational and o’course it comes from experience , whadye mean ? “ his brow furrows as he shakes his head as if in denial of something before , almost as if in defeat , he goes completely still and admits maybe for the first time “ i don’t think i can bear t’face it. “
