A couple days ago I was talking to my mom at the kitchen table about how I had to call the self-unaliving hotline cuz I was in a crisis of sorts. At the end-ish of the conversation I said “I mean, I don’t think I’m depressed, I’ll have to talk to Ellen about it.”(Ellen is my therapist.).

As I said that she paused her sewing, turned to face me, and said “Yes, you are.”

That part of your brain for your attention span, and the part that’s responsible for your ability to multitask and like…. process lots of information at once? Yeah. Depression and superficially suppressed apeshit rage just like, destroyed those areas for me. Literally incinerated them; to absolutely nothing. The lights are on, but on God the bill ain’t being paid at all. 😂

Does anyone have tips to make my dopamine start dopamine-ing again? 🫠

Two of my main hobbies have always been reading and writing, but I haven't had motivation for either for at least 6 years and I don't even know what I'm doing.

(Idk if anyone's going to see this, but I want to get out of the way that, yes, I know that's a sign of depression. I've got that diagnosis already but my therapist hasn't really been much help on this front because she's been focusing on my anxiety since it's the bigger problem.)

Anyways, I just really want to have hobbies again please 🥲
