🌺 We were dating for about a month by then, and we were at the lake. It was a beautiful night, sitting together on a soft blanket from home with his arms around me.

He had warmed up to me by then, not being one to immediately like people. We had gotten along more than he does most people, and that was something that spoke to him.

At first it was just the silence of the lake, until it was broken by his silverly, crackled voice. "Rose I-" he paused, looking down. It was clear he hadn't done this in a long time. Not for twenty some years.

"I love you darlin'. You mean everything to me." I looked at him, gripping him by his collar that looked auburn in the dim light. You can tell by his look that he seem guilty, like he fucked up.

That's when I grabbed by the back up his head and started to lean into our first real kiss.

He was always really brash at first, but over time he's become a lot more smooth and even more of a romantic. 🌺

You talked a little while ago about why you don't think Shidou would make a good father to Amane (agreed) and proposed the idea of Mahiru adopting Amane. That's cute but I want to tell you about my post-MILGRAM headcanon:

Amane joins the Kajiyamas

Not Fuuta specifically adopting her, but like him taking her back to his family's house. I'm sure they'd have a spare room

I think people don't think about Fuuta's homelife much, or if they do they take Fuuta's one interrogation question where he calls his dad an old fogey and assume its like, abusive

And don't get me wrong, I don't think the Kajiyama household are perfect. Fuuta' beautician sister surely hasn't helped when it comes to Fuuta's body image issues and I'm betting they're all a bunch of tsunderes too embarrassed to say they love each other

But in a series where most of the abused characters are still convinced their abuser loved them/acted out of love. Seeing a guy not be afraid to call his dad a loser is almost a green flag

I think it'd be good for Amane to not necessarily be adopted as the lone child to a single parent but get to be introduced to a very different style of family unit from her own One where its normal to express different opinions or disagreements or even have arguments and not have it be the end of the world

Amane already has a snarky side to her, I bet it'd flourish in a brash household like the Kajiyama's (or at least how I imagine them to be)

I agree -- I never interpreted Fuuta's family as abusive or harmful, just not super close and struggling a bit after his mother left. (And yeah, all as openly emotional as him😭) They seem stable and very capable to taking in a extra, very well-behaved child. Assuming Fuuta is the way he is because of them, that atmosphere of being very honest and forward would work well for her. They say things as they are, little by little pointing out the harmful parts of her worldview. Like you said, none of them make excuses about harmful behavior stemming from love, so she'd get a really healthy dose of truth in that area. She never feels coddled or treated like a baby. They care for her while treating her very maturely.

I absolutely love how well she and Fuuta get along, with that snarky side to her that you mentioned. It would allow her to fit in well in the new household, getting the sense of belonging she'll lose after leaving the cult. Also, seeing how Fuuta and his sister let things slip and aren't perfect sons/daughters, she'll be able to relax about earning a parent's love through perfect behavior. She'll probably stay exactly the same, but her stress about it will fade <3

I doubt Fuuta's father can ever replace the hole she'll have from her own father, but the addition of an older sister will be huge. Amane will never get the feeling her mother is being replaced, but the woman will still fill the gap of the older, same-gender role model she needs. Her beautician job may throw Amane at first (being an indulgence in vanity), but it isn't as in-your-face as other careers. I think she could definitely ease Amane into accepting it, and over time, accepting her own personal "indulgence."

Plus, her moving in would also be really good for Fuuta! I think he'd recognize there's a ton of fun things she missed out on, and that heroic side of him outweighs the part that cringes: he gripes and groans about going to "kid places," but he's always the one to announce "I can't believe you've never been to __, we're going right now!!" This allows him to touch grass leave the house and experience his own life to the fullest. He's able to channel his desire to help society into a healthier outlet. Also, seeing her studying habits and plans for the future might even inspire him to do the same. (might.) He becomes the stereotypical good big brother, though of course he denies it viciously...

tbh it's kind of interesting to me that dark always wanted a merge and completely rejected krad's idea of keeping daisuke's body for himself. there's the obvious reasons as to why like dark simply Not Wanting to be Krad and loathing operating at all as an 'infection' forcefully taking over their bodies and completely erasing the hikari's selves--- hiwatari's 'if a shadow is behind the circle, then you have a hole' (if the shadow is within the circle, you have a full sphere,) line comes to mind, throw in the whole dark is love / krad is sorrow thing, and you get the idea that 'grief and intense unregulated sorrow doesn't just take something away from you, but also makes you lose parts (or sometimes the whole) of yourself,' but then what does that say for dark? love and desire can change you into something you are, but aren't? (in both a healthy, and also very ominous and unhealthy way, of course.) had dark and any of his hosts actually 'become one' wouldn't you end up with a brand new third entity, a literal composite? my intrigue comes the most from the way that dark at least superficially behaves in such an intensely independent way, but then between stealing for half-selfless reasons, his miserable history, the way he outright desperately doesn't want to be forgotten even if he thinks poorly of himself as a bad person and yet also avoids/excises himself from so many intimacies --- was he really willing and interested in becoming one with his hosts even if it meant getting rid his old, individual self?? for all his bravado and natural arrogant personality, all the signs pretty much point to dark and dark alone wanting to merge so that he'd either be 'better' as a person, more suitable as a real, proper human being, and/or so that he wouldn't have to be, (or rather, keep being,) alone???

Maaaaaan I had SUCH an amazing night last night fr 😭 and my friend finally got her full Halloween carnival experience before she went back home, funnel cakes and all~ ✨👻🎪

I haven’t been to this attraction in a few years but they seriously amped up the haunt! The animatronics were crazy this year (there were literally ones that chase you lmao) and the scare actors were still the seasoned veteran actors which made it perfect. We went on opening night too so we got to see everyone and everything at their best.

Between the haunted barn, the corn maze and the clown tent, I don’t even know which one was my favorite because they were all so good. Since I am a clown and I went dressed as a clown, I absolutely love clowns and they had SO many clown sections this year!

One of the clown scare actors even saw my makeup/outfit and blew me a kiss instead trying to scare me 😹🤡 so cute.

Nik actually lives here and we’re gonna be keeping in touch for sure. He literally looks and sounds like a movie producer from the 1920’s, it’s amazing akdhakjd plus he’s an incredible artist and loves clowns/carnivals as much as I do 🤡

I’m so happy I met these two, they literally made my week unforgettable because it’s so goddamn rare that I meet people on the same wavelength with the same weird interests as me 😭🖤

The angel had found themselves residing in the bookshop again, peeking at one of the books that caught their eye - The Great Gatsby. An old book based in the Americas that was so interesting! A story during the 1920s? Some of the greatest years to be known, according to humanity? It was beautiful!

In the middle of their reading, they were met with Crowley's attendance, perking up at him walking down into the bookshop, greeting him with a smile and a gentle wave. "Mornin', Mr. Crowley!" They smiled. "How are you doing this fine day--?"

They stopped suddenly, met with Crowley's hands cupping their cheeks wordlessly. Was this some kind of ritual of warmth and comfort? Because they were surely feeling it with how... soft this was. They had a blank stare, but soon accepted the soft feeling, closing their eyes.

"Mr. Crowley, was that... meant to be as gentle as it was?" They asked, blinking a little for a moment. "It was... quite nice! I like it very much. It is... soft and sweet. Is it meant to be that way?"
