HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS EPISODE OF FRIDAY NIGHT PUNCHGROUND
Tumblr media
THE UNLIKELY ALLIANCE OF THE MOYA CREW AND SG-1
Previously, Team Star Trek sent a message to the entire sci-fi community by having Hikaru Sulu (Star Trek) defeat Hiden Aruto (Kamen Rider Zero-One) in a decisive manner. Even though Team Star Trek’s message was aimed at Team Star Wars, it’s clear that Captain Kirk wanted to put all other sci-fi teams on notice.
John Crichton and Aeryn Sun (Farscape) have noticed Kirk’s increased aggression. Because of this, they’ve approached the SG-1 team to see if they’d be interested in forming an alliance to stand against Team Star Trek.
Meeting John and Aeryn is Jack O’Neill and Samantha Carter (Stargate SG-1).

The Gift, Pt. 8
Sheppard is ready to do whatever it takes to protect them from the wraith. This seems to include throwing Teyla to the wolves, albeit obviously he wishes that nothing happens to her. As much as he cares about her, and we see in this episode that he does--he is actively playing the role of a caring and compassionate leader--he also seems willing to jeopardize Teyla for the greater good. This has become a point of contention between him and Weir, as Weir seems to have developed a conscience about it even though having Teyla connect to the wraith had originally been her idea.
Tumblr media
We have seen over the past several episodes that they are fundamentally at odds when it comes to the hard decisions over the defense of the city, and these differences seem to be coming to a head once again. Sheppard is pretty much willing to do anything that might give them even the slightest edge against the wraith whereas Weir has clearly stated that there are lines that will never be crossed as long as she is in charge. You can see the desperation in Sheppard's eyes, here.
This is probably the longest we have ever seen him look at Weir, and while the look is intense, it has nothing to do with attraction. This is John Sheppard trying to impose his will on her by quietly pleading.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We have seen him attempt to manipulate Weir into seeing things his way previously, and here too, while he does not full out assume command--which he really should have done some time ago since this could not be more of a military matter--he is very determined to make her go through with this plan. Fortunately, she agrees to let Teyla try to connect to the wraith one last time.
Now, people can obviously ship what ever they like, shipping isn't really my motivation for the exploration of these character dynamics. But I don't think anything ever happened between Sheppard and Weir that we don't see happen on screen, and this is because of the politics of it all. The history of women and the US Army is a difficult one. Likely there have been women fighting in every war known to human history but obtaining official recognition as part of the military was not an easy road, and it certainly was not quick.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We actually still see this play out in SG-1: when Carter first meets O'Neill, she's convinced that he has a problem with her commission because of her sex and she spends a lot of the early part of the show proving, most of all to herself, that she is worthy of having this position in the flagship team. O'Neill's problem was that he thought she was a pencil pusher, not that she was a woman, of course.
When the shows were on the air, there was still a ban on women being assigned to "units below the brigade level whose primary mission is to engage in direct combat on the ground" meaning that there was an official policy that excluded women from being assigned to units on proximity to direct combat or collocation which would have directly affected Carter. On the show, she got to do many things that women were still not allowed to do at the time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So why is this significant? Weir isn't military, after all.
It comes back to the difficult question of the chain of command. Real world politics affect the kind of fiction that a given culture produces. Fiction doesn't just reflect cultural mores, it also creates them, directs and redirects them, reminds us of what we deem important and highlights societal issues of the day. Fictional representations, especially those of the mainstream, are in conversation with our every day beliefs and attitudes. For example, network television played an integral part in modifying mainstream attitudes as more positive toward LGBT+ issues which culminated in the Supreme Court ruling of Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015.
Now, a similar thing happened with women in the military albeit much earlier. Mainstream media was used in modifying the attitudes of people at large into becoming more accepting of the idea of women in the military, especially in the 1990s. The actress Demi Moore, for one, was in several blockbuster films that raised awareness of the kinds of issues women might face in service. And because this ideological battle was still so fresh, still on-going on several fronts, mainstream media was extremely careful in how women were portrayed in roles pertaining to the military. This even lead to a kind of over-correction where women were portrayed as more capable, more moral, more everything than their male counterparts, these fictional representations of especially officers required to be perfect, and especially needing to be flawless--as in, having no flaws. The audiences needed to be taught to think that women were fit to serve as officers, and hence anything that might show them in a bad light is eschewed.
So again, what does this have to do with Weir?
Weir isn't the issue, Sheppard is. Under no circumstances could they show him pursuing a relationship with someone with whom the chain of command was so unclear to begin with. We saw on SG-1 how much of a taboo relationships between people serving within a chain of command were. O'Neill and Carter may have had the greatest romance in history and it was still never going to happen because even if they could portray O'Neill doing some questionable things (but within reason, USAF consultants and all, cf. the military-entertainment complex), they could never put the character of Carter into this position. She had to be morally flawless, the heart and soul of the series.
And similarly, they could show John Sheppard do some morally dubious things--what's a few war crimes between friends when you're in another galaxy--but they could never show him abusing his authority as an officer by getting involved in an illicit affair with a person with whom the chain of command was complicated to begin with. Civilian oversight of an international military operation where the director and the highest ranking officer can't conduct themselves professionally but allow their interpersonal feelings to compromise not only the whole damn mission but decades and decades of public relations work on changing the attitudes of the audience toward women serving in the military? Yeah, no. No. Weir may not be military but showing Sheppard even as willing to entertain something like that would have shown the entire USAF in a worse light than executing POWs or other war crimes shown on the show... which were actually closer to official doctrine of the administration of the day, but that's another thing entirely.
They may have teased some UST between the characters because that's just how episodic television works (and, granted, it was a tool used by this franchise in particular to great success), and as discussed previously, they could use the on-screen relationship between Weir and Sheppard to explore the off-screen subtextual relationship between Sheppard and McKay. The latter was being done for different although not less important political, ideological reasons. There was a different motivation for going there with them. A relationship between Sheppard and McKay would also have been morally dubious, to be sure, but the aim was to change laws and regulations that were seen as being morally wrong by the entertainment industry. When the shows were on the air, women served in every capacity of the Air Force but homosexual and bisexual servicemen were not able to serve openly. That needed to change, and the industry was modifying attitudes in order to see that change.
And so, we get to see the whole extent of Weir and Sheppard's relationship right there, on the screen. Not only was there no motivation for hinting that something may have been going on beneath the surface, it would have compromised the necessary co-operation the whole franchise had with the USAF. Not to mention an integral part of Sheppard's personal character journey, slowly and through experience learning to trust that the people in positions of power and authority over him may have been selected for these positions for a reason. My reason for comparing how McKay and Sheppard are portrayed on screen as opposed to Sheppard and Weir is not to harsh anyone's joy in 'shipping because fandom engagement isn't just important, it is together with the viewers that the narrative is (and was) constructed. They put it out there and it is up to us how we choose to receive it. But I find the historical perspective very important for interpreting the relationship and character dynamics of McKay and Sheppard in particular.
So, for Teyla's final attempt to connect with the wraith, Sheppard is still standing behind the table and the monitors:
Tumblr media
And when things go awry, he is somewhat slow in responding. Now, he must have clocked that Teyla was not acting like herself, here. He has quick reflexes, he's quick-thinking, he is quick on his feet. Earlier in this very same episode we saw him take a P-90 from a marine and put himself personally in the line of fire for his men (although he does not use his own body to shield anyone there). We have also seen him place himself between a flash bang and McKay in The Brotherhood (S01E16).
But this time, he watches as Beckett is flung to the side, he watches the women try to get out of harm's way without doing anything. He's not really frozen in place, he's just not doing anything. And make note that here, he does not place himself between Teyla and Weir. When Teyla swings the IV pole, which he clearly anticipates that she will do because he takes a step toward her perhaps with the intention of disarming her, he ducks. He does not attempt to shield Weir, he ducks down. And yes, he probably does not want to harm Teyla even though it is clear that she is not in control of her body. But it is rather obvious from the way Sheppard just watches that when it comes to the people currently in the room, he does not have the instinct to protect any of them with his own body.
Tumblr media
I do find that pretty interesting. Like maybe he has a reason not to want to needlessly place himself in danger.* I also don't want to put too much in stock with the ear pieces (even though with Ford's earlier line "we're all there" we were asked to wonder why McKay isn't present... at least is not physically present), while it is true that Sheppard is noticeably slow to react here. But it is entirely possible Sheppard wouldn't allow McKay to even participate in these attempts for this very reason, did not want to risk this happening to him.
What ever Sheppard was thinking, if he had time to think of anything at all, he does get knocked down by the wraith possessing Teyla. And it makes sense for her to go directly after him since the wraith seemed to be able to gather intel from her and he is the highest ranking military officer present.
Tumblr media
In the end they are saved by Sgt. Bates who had the foresight to bring a wraith stunner into the infirmary and hence is able to incapacitate Teyla without killing her. Sheppard seems to have mixed feelings about this.
Here, as he looks back at Bates, he actually has his own gun aimed at Teyla's unconscious body on the ground. He seems ready to take her out if it became necessary so Bates stunning her cannot be the reason for his upset. Sheppard is glad no one was seriously injured. He's happy that Teyla wasn't killed. But he's definitely not loving that "told you so" that he can read on Bates' face, there. But he doesn't say anything, either. He is continuously cautious around Bates which is also interesting.
Tumblr media
Anyway, at the end of the episode, we find Sheppard and Weir on the balcony where we have seen them have many discussions. Their dialogue is rather curious in light of how much Teyla and McKay were paralleled in the episode up until McKay mysteriously vanished from the rest of it:
Weir: I can only hope we haven't caused her psychological damage. Sheppard: Teyla's one of the strongest people I know. The fact that she's been able to hold it together until now after what she's been through in her life...
Tumblr media
By this time, he also knows that McKay has been through a lot of things in his life. He thinks that McKay is a hero so it wouldn't be surprising if he also thought that Mckay is also one of the strongest people he knows. Not physically strong but mentally resilient. It hadn't even been two weeks since he had watched McKay stare down Acastus Kolya, the man that frightened even him.
The two of them are interrupted by Beckett who calls them back into the infirmary where Teyla is still bed-bound. Since it seems like Sheppard had just stepped into the balcony when the scene starts, they were alone for all of 10 seconds before being interrupted and he has, once again, his hand as a barrier between them. He is also not looking at her but at the sea, his eyes just sliding over her as he turns to look at Beckett:
Tumblr media
Inside, they discover that their situation is even worse than they had originally thought, that it is not only them and Atlantis that is in danger but Earth itself. For the second time in two episodes they make reference to Col. Sumner:
Teyla: They do not just want Atlantis. They know about you. Weir: What do you mean? Sheppard: Sumner. The female Wraith wasn't just feeding on him--she was interrogating him.
Tumblr media
Here, he also does something that he does not do with McKay: when Weir gets too close, he automatically, instinctively moves his hand away, saying "No, no. It's fine" to Teyla. He's boxed in by two women and he still manages to maintain his personal space with regards to both of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What happened to Col. Sumner at the beginning of the season clearly still weighs heavily on Sheppard even though it is something that he doesn't wish for the others to see or hear in his voice.
It is not Weir that Sheppard is looking at as we fade to black, and it isn't Teyla either. He is looking dead ahead at nothing. The person he would be looking at, the person he would be exchanging a glance with, isn't present. The only person he allows to see what he is really feeling, and who could read what he is thinking right from his face. The person he is thinking about.
Tumblr media
All of this, what they learn about the plans of the wraith here, is significant because in the next episode, we get to see for the first time how important McKay is to Sheppard. He is forced to make a very difficult choice.
-* There is a poem by Bertolt Brecht, To Be Read in the Morning and at Night, that may explain his actions here:
My love Has told me That he needs me. That is why I take good care of myself Watch out where I'm going and Fear that any drop of rain Might kill me.
Now, when it is McKay's life on the line a few episodes hence...

Stargate rewatch: 2x06 - Thor's Chariot
Tumblr media
It's the Cimmerian follow up episode! I really like this one.
Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of SG-1's actions. They destroyed Thor's Hammer, and the Goa'uld have now invaded and conquered Cimmeria. It's unclear exactly how the Goa'uld knew Cimmeria was unprotected when in the earlier episode Teal'c said all Jaffa knew the symbols as a planet they should not go to, but I suppose a Goa'uld like Heru-ur might decide to send scouts to all the previously forbidden worlds, especially if he’s power playing with Apophis.
Of course, this does seem to contradict the later reveal of the Asgard-Goa'uld Protected Planets treaty, but perhaps Cimmeria wasn't actually part of the treaty but Thor's pet project he was keeping safe through use of the Hammer.
Daniel not wearing his glasses again for no discernible reason. Well, he’s wearing them on his head, successfully functioning neither as a vision aid nor a headband.
Sans glasses, he recognises Gairwyn on the MALP footage; it's like they're an affectation at this stage. There will come a point where he does start wearing them all the time and I'll have to watch out for when that is - I wonder if a note came down about it, like when the Airforce told them Amanda Tapping's hair was getting too long.
Tumblr media
Teal’c: The destruction of the hammer device to save my life may have caused this. If so, I am responsible. Jack: General, I gave the order. Daniel: And I fired the staff at the machine. Sam: And I…was there. Hee!
Written by Kathryn Powers, who also penned the previous episode Thor’s Hammer. Directed by William Gereghty.
Gairwyn returns, and we learn that the dead body she was cradling in the cold open was her husband, who was also absent from the previous episode having “gone a-viking”. What I do appreciate about this episode pair is that you’d probably expect a tv show tackling a Norse-inspired culture to default to male characters, but instead our access characters were both women.
Kendra is unfortunately not in this episode, her character having been killed offscreen which is a real shame. Gairwyn does mention that Kendra is buried with her family, implying that SG-1’s visit and confronting the hammer again helped her heal so she stopped isolating herself from the community. And then died :(
The timeline is a bit thin though - Gairwyn says Kendra’s the one who told her to fly the Sagan box through the gate so SG-1 would come and help, but she’s already been buried with her family? I suppose it’s plausible that it took some time for Gairwyn and her family to plan and carry out an assault on the gate.
Tumblr media
Sam engages in some light graverobbing and we learn she can use Goa’uld technology thanks to Jolinar. But since we can’t have Sam using the healing device every time someone gets a scratch, controlling the tech is difficult for her.
The remaining Cimmerians are understandably not happy with SG-1 for leaving them vulnerable to attack, which you know what, fair. Half of them are dead!
Olaf, not a talking snowman but seemingly the leader of the remaining group, calls SG-1 “the dogs of Midgard” which would be a great name for a heavy metal band.
Daniel takes his glasses off for his closeup for emphasis, suggesting Thor hasn’t abandoned Cimmeria, but is simply far away.
Gairwyn takes Sam and Daniel to the Hall of Thor’s might, while Olaf takes Teal’c and Jack on patrol.
Tumblr media
Exposition time! We get out introduction to Heru-ur, son of Ra and Hathor and powerful system lord. We get the first return of the Horus helmet since the film, worn both by Heru-ur and his Jaffa. Underneath the helmet is Douglas A Arthurs, and I am a little more lenient about the casting of white guys in the roles of current Goa'uld that could have credibly changed hosts at any time, although still not great obviously. On the other hand, casting all your villains as actors of colour isn't great either and while you can certainly say that the casting would be so much more inclusive if the show was made today, so much about the show would be different if made today I'm not sure it's worthwhile to unravel that thread.
Tumblr media
We can assume that Heru-ur has taken Ra's place as a rival to Apophis, likely absorbing much of Ra's former territories and jostling with Apophis for the rest, hence Cimmeria as his new ship building world.
“Our god is Thor, he taught us to stand as equals.” The difference between a Goa’uld and an Asgard, although a lie is a lie, and a false god is a false god, as will be explored in much a later episode.
"What did he teach you about pain?" Generally I find Heru-ur a lower tier adversary, but this is a good villain line.
Teal’c shoots a pistol! But clearly finds it wanting, as he goes straight back to his staff weapon.
Tumblr media
“Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson, they will in fact calm up.” Iconic Teal’c line. I like to think that by this point Teal’c is familiar enough with Earth parlance that this is deliberate on his part.
Jack: “he means things will escalate of course.”
Daniels glasses are once again atop his head. There's low light in this cave Daniel, how can you possibly see?
Thor’s test part 1: do you have the courage to touch the forbidden stone? (Bravery)
The return of hologram Thor, once again played by Mark Gibbons, I appreciate this continuity of this. However despite Olaf saying earlier that Thor taught them to stand as equals, Gairwyn kneels to ask for his help. But I think that makes sense, showing defiance to an oppressor is different from confronting ones benefactor seeking help. Daniel also removes his hat, which I think it a nice character touch.
Tumblr media
Thor’s test part 2: would you risk/sacrifice your life to save your friends? (Selflessness)
Meanwhile, Jack, Teal’c and Olaf run around the forest picking off Jaffa. Whatever, the interesting story here is the puzzles. I’m not being sarcastic, I love it when they have to solve puzzles.
But Daniel: Puzzle Master is initially stumped by the riddle of the runes. Holo!Thor telling him there’s no shame in failure kickstarts his brain to realise the runes are numbers not concepts, Sam identifies the sequence as Pi, and Daniel figures out they have to represent the concept on the geometric shapes. Guess the pictographs were a red herring? Of course we never find out what the pictographs were depicting so maybe there was a clue in them Daniel didn't see.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I think the reflection of the key light in Daniel's glasses as shown here is the reason he keeps taking them off.
For reference, other than representing Pi, according to Daniel's translation the rune sequence is Protection/Fate/Movement/Chariot, which could mean that for Thor's protection, the Cimmerians must decide their own fate, move forward/progress, and then be shown the truth i.e. his true self/technology.
I really wish Gairwyn had been included in solving the puzzle, maybe she could have been the one to realise the runes were numbers? Or at least she could have been the one who showed courage in the first test. Then they all would have played a part.
Tumblr media
Holo!Thor disappears and we see Thor’s true (Roswell grey-esque) form, voiced by Michael Shanks, (uncredited at this point). The voice will change slightly over the years.
But I love the Thor puppet! It’s genuinely beautiful, especially the eye movement. Like the Goa'uld snake-form, the puppets are so much better than the CG versions they bring in later.
I also love that everyone pronounces Goa’uld differently. Daniel says “goold” out of disrespect, but Thor says “gow-uld” which isn’t quite correct but believable from an ancient race who has fraught dealings with them, and for whom language has changed over time - important to remember that Shanks is playing both roles and choosing the pronunciation that fits the respective character.
Tumblr media
Thor’s ship is called the Bilskinir, Old Norse for "lightening-crack" and was a great hall where the mythological Thor lived on Asgard - the "hall of Thor's might" and his chariot/spaceship are conflated for the purposes of the show. The hall of his might was not a weapon as Daniel and Sam expected, but a test to show when the Cimmerians were ready to se Thor in his true form i.e. invite them into his hall.
“We did not anticipate outside interference” Thor reading Earth to filth with absolute politeness.
Tumblr media
“Daniel, you look suspiciously empty handed” lol, Jack is not surprised.
Jack sarcastically asking if the real Thor was nice is funny since her will will soon become Thor's favourite human.
Having surrendered to spare the remaining Cimmerians, Daniel observes, "Before they rode into battle the Sioux used to say: This is a good day to die." Jack isn't amused, either by the sentiment or Daniel invoking some (likely) apocryphal/embellished history.
Thor shows up in his big honking spaceship and decimates the fuck out of Heru-ur's forces. With all the beaming that goes on in later seasons, it’s easy to forget how badass Thor showing up and disappearing everyone was on first viewing. "Lightning-crack" indeed.
He got there pretty toot-sweet didn't he? I guess he was in the neighborhood, since when Earth gets Asgard tech later on they don't travel nearly as fast (unless the Asgard started them out on baby's first hyperspace).
But Heru-er escapes, since they need him to get his ass kicked again in a few episodes.
Tumblr media
Thor also braided Gairwyn's hair and gave her a new outfit, which was nice of him.
“They are a friend to all, protector of all, except the Goa’uld, with whom they are at war.” Thor stretching the truth a bit here, unless by “war” he meant “fragile terms of non-interference in one another’s territories.”
“I’m to tell you that Thor’s new Hammer will make an exception for the one called Teal’c.” I always thought this episode should have been placed later in the season, at least after Secrets, since in that episode no one raises the possibility of using the new Hammer to free Sha’re. Arguably it would be too dangerous to send a heavily pregnant woman though, but you’d think it would be discussed at least. On the other hand, maybe the new Hammer takes a while to build?
Heru-ur also plays a role in that episode, and we first meet him in this episode so it couldn't have been an order changeup, and was written this way. I just wish it had been addressed since it's only a few episodes from now.
But anyway. This was a good one! Following up on a previously visited planet, consequences of actions, puzzles, good guest star. Overall season 2 is pretty strong.

Super Famicom - Space Invaders: The Original Game
Title: Space Invaders: The Original Game / スペースインベーダー
Developer/Publisher: Taito
Release date: 25 March 1994
Catalogue Code: SHVC-IC
Genre: Shooter
No. of Players: 1-2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone and their pet monkey have heard of Space Invaders. Not necessarily played it, but at least they've heard of it. Taito's initial space shooter where you control a little laser turret and have to clear the screen of space invaders before they land on the surface and take over the world... whichever world you're supposed to be on... is a classic game that has spawned many other games of its ilk.
There was a time when Nintendo seemed to have a fetish for Space Invaders. A version of the game had been released on the original Game Boy and Famicom/NES; soon enough, there was a version of the game on the Super Famicom in 1994 - a rather rare beast where Space Invaders was not given the "Super" update like most games, but rather it's a straightforward port of the original arcade game, made to look and play like that classic game. If that's not enough, there was even a port to the MSX computer, the Sega SG-1000, as well as the Atari VCS/Atari 2600 and there is also a PC Engine HuCard as well as a PC Engine Super CD-ROM2 release (which are technically two separate games). Since then, Space Invaders has been ported to almost EVERY system under the sun. Interesting to say the least, but is this version of Space Invaders worth it?
I was expecting this cartridge to offer a brand-new Space Invaders with fancy 16-bit graphics, but instead, Taito opted to bring back the classic in its original form! That's not a bad idea considering the original Space Invaders had not been previously available for a console before. Not only do you get the classic game as it was in 1978, but also four color variations including black and white, color, color background, and cellophane (simulated color strips on screen). It's great to play Space Invaders again, but I have to admit that it's not the kind of shooter you can play for hours on end. Perhaps that's why Taito threw in a great two-player, split-screen competitive mode. A pleasant surprise, it effectively pushes this cartridge over the top.

The Things We Don't Know
Secrets are not something Daniel Jackson, your boyfriend of two years, has ever kept from you with one exception; you're okay with that exception, really. He's a wonderful man, one of the best boyfriends you've ever had, and you trust him implicitly. It's a good life the two of you have built. ...Until that exception starts taking him away from you. You try to handle it, but your relationship begins to feel the strain every time he has to go. Fears and doubts begin to creep in. Can the two of you keep the relationship going under these new conditions? Or will something give?
Tumblr media
Chapter 33: Learning Curve
Hearing how Daniel's situation is worse than previously thought, your already-weakened body from unintentional neglect (you forget to eat when you're busy) can't handle the stress which causes you to faint. You and Daniel have to work through the aftermath.

Canon Polycule Showdown
(vote for your favorite! check the description if you don't know them)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: 1. Picture of Quanxi and her four girlfriends, Tsugihagi, Long, Pingtsi and Cosmo, from the Chainsaw Man Manga. 2. Picture of Daniel, Sam, Jack and Teal’c from Stargate SG-1. /end ID]
Meet the contestants!
Quanxi/Pingsti/Cosmo/Long/Tsugihagi
Status: Canon
Description: Quanxi is a devil hunter who previously worked for the bureau (institution that fights devils), before going off on her own and getting her girlfriends, all of whom are fiends (devils who have taken over a human's body). Her girlfriends are all very adoring of her, and she cares deeply for them, wanting them to be treated like humans and be able to get an education. In their own unique ways, the other girls also care deeply for Quanxi, and seem very affectionate, and are always happy to use their powers to help her. Quanxi is confirmed to be a lesbian in canon!
Daniel/Sam/Jack/Teal’c
Status: Implied
Description: They are one of those teams that always presents as a unit and go through Absolute Hell to stay together. It's 90s/2000s American Military Sci-fi, so gay ppl don't even exist, let alone polyamory, but they have way too many plotlines where they risk the world to bring one of them back, or they collectively decide to die together rather than leave one of them behind. And I'm pretty sure Dr Sam Carter has to pretend to be married to/belong to each of the boys at least once, in fantastically sexist plotlines because again. The era. Jack O'Neill/Sam Carter is the only explicitly canon ship, and it can be argued the Teal’c is somewhat ace-coded, but the bonds between individual team members as well as the four together go way beyond platonic. (Teal’c could fit in queerplatonically.)

Fallin' Again
Stargate SG-1: Daniel Jackson WordCount: 987 T(W): Capture, Language Barriers Request: Yes - Anon "Hey could I request a Daniel Jackson x reader where reader is an alien humanoid from a planet similar to ours and he falls in love again, this time promising no one will harm them or take them from him. Just generally lots of fluff lol or you could make it into a head canon same idea maybe how they met? Just whatever you feel works best" A/N: Okay I may have gotten slightly carried away with this one, and then had to reign myself in ^^;
It wasn’t supposed to happen like this, he wasn’t supposed to feel these feelings again. It shouldn’t have been possible, he had met his soulmate and lost her. You were just a stranger from another world, who just so happened to be the cause of his current state. You had come through the Stargate by accident. You had fallen through a wormhole which had resonated at your own planet and fallen through the one at Stargate Command. Their iris had failed to engage when your wormhole led to theirs. You were sitting in a room while they decided what to do with you and how credible your story was. You were sitting on a chair rocking on its two back legs, your own legs crossed on the table, bending every so often to continue your rocking motion. You had found a book sitting in an end table and decided to peruse it, it took you a while to understand the language and the scripture which the text was written in, but after hearing the ‘humans’ as they called themselves, speak in their tongue and how they would read their scripture, it didn’t take long for you to pick up the speech patterns and behaviours of your now captors.
From what you gathered they were looking for how you had managed to prevent their iris from engaging when the wormhole had opened. You had stayed quiet during your interrogation, mostly because you were still navigating the language barrier. Now that you had cracked their code, you were trying to work out why your random wormhole experiment had sent you to another planet several thousand light years away from your home planet. You were hoping that the innate book you were reading would allow your mind to work in the background, trying to find an answer to the same question that your interrogators were asking. You had found that allowing a problem to work itself in your subconscious was the best way to get an answer to a particularly annoying problem.
One of the humans, a male with brown hair and glasses, had dropped by a couple of times, tried different languages, that you came to learn were dead on this planet, that it confused your ability to understand the language at first. Once you realised what he was trying to do, you were able to better compartmentalise the languages and work on focussing on the main language of the world, or the people on the base at the very least.
The young brunette, Daniel from what you gathered, was sweet, patient and was the only ‘human’ who was trying to communicate with you. You almost returned the favour in your native tongue but thought it best to remain silent. He would bring you beverages and food native to the planet and leaving you to them in your own time. You appreciated the gesture, but tended not to eat or drink anything, mostly because you weren’t sure what contaminants they used in their irrigation supplies, or even if their food would have been compatible with you or not. Your planet was not unfamiliar with the rules of ‘planet hopping’, do not eat or drink what the locals give you, do not interfere in their natural development and try not to intervene in the mechanical development of the people.
Daniel was persistent, you’d give him that. Once he realised that you could understand his native language, he reverted to speaking to you in that. He said that although you hadn’t said you’d understood him, he could tell from your reactions that you had a better understanding of the language, than you had previously. According to Daniel you had been there for around 3 days now, your people had a high tolerance for food and drink depravation, your planet was used to being at war with another and being deprived of those necessities on an almost constant basis. Your people had buried the hatchet with the warring planets, and had been at peace for close to a decade, but the evolution of your people had still allowed for those changes to be permanent.
Everyday Daniel appeared, like clockwork, sometimes with another member of his team, but most normally alone. He would sometimes appear with one of the men who had been interrogating you, Colonel O’Neill, you believed. Other times with a yellow haired female, Dr. Carter, but whenever he appeared with another it was, more often than not, a stern looking man with a golden emblem on his head. You believed his name was Teal’c, although you couldn’t fathom how to spell that in either language, merely how it sounded. When you had first arrived Teal’c had attempted to speak to you in, what you assumed to be, his native tongue and a couple of others you believed he had picked up over decades. You could tell he was not a native of the planet you were currently on due to something off about his presence. You couldn’t figure out what it was, but you knew that something about him was not like the others of this world, although you thought you had sensed a similar thing about Dr Carter occasionally, but nothing quite as concrete as with Teal’c.
After a few more weeks in the room, you slowly began trying the local cuisine (granted against your better judgement) and found it to be not too dissimilar to your own food. You had grown accustomed to Daniel’s presence and had grown to be quite fond of the time you both were spending together, and something about Daniel made you believe that he too enjoyed spending time with you, especially when he began bringing you new reading materials and witing equipment, you would admit that the writing materials proved useful for your thought process in trying to figure out the stargate and wormhole conundrum which was plaguing both yourself and Dr. Carter.

20 Questions For Fic Writers
Thanks for tagging me @marley-manson!
No pressure tags: @hero-in-waiting, @spurious, @sparrowsarus, @dedkake, @logicgunn, @colonelshepparrrrd and anyone else who wants to do this :)
Everything is under the cut because this is going to be long.
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
36, although one of those is a playlist for the SGA Songfest.
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?
76,731
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I have written for Good Omens, MASH, Stargate (SGA and SG-1), Person of Interest, and now Top Gun: Maverick.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
walking alone at 3am (TGM), The McMurdo Chess Club (SGA), Autopilot (SGA), I would never dare (Good Omens), and Class A's (MASH)
5. Do you respond to comments?
I very much try to. I love responding to comments.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Angst-wise, I think it's Dear John (SGA), although it almost doesn't count because I wrote a follow up sequel that fixes the angst. There's no one I would rather be lying beside (SGA/SG-1) is definitely the saddest though.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Oh man, most of them have pretty happy endings. I think maybe my favorite happy ending is You Can't Go Home Again (MASH).
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I haven't. People seem to be pretty friendly.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. Some of the smut is just incidental to the plot, but I also do a few that are just smut. I guess I tend to write mostly m/m (although I have some f/f and want to write more of that) with a little bit of kink, usually some d/s dynamics and light bondage. I'm trying to get more comfortable with it in general. I keep on meaning to do some kinkmeme fills as practice.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Technically, my SGA/SG-1 fics are crossovers, but I don't think that really counts, since it's very much the same universe. Which makes I've bit my tongue too long to hide the blood I'm covered in (SGA/POI) my only true crossover. And definitely the craziest. Very niche fic that absolutely no one asked for, but I love it.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not as far as I'm aware.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Oh, that's so hard to answer. I feel like I have different answers for this depending on the day and the context. But it might be John/Vala (SGA/SG-1).
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
My SGA fic where John dies while Rodney is back on earth with Jennifer and Rodney comes back and slowly starts to lose it, seeing John everywhere. I have so many SGA fics that will take priority over it, and it's just sad, which is harder for me to feel motivated. It was also shaping up to be long, which I struggle with. I also haven't come back to SGA yet - I'm still thoroughly ensared by Top Gun at the moment.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Recently, I've discovered I may actually be good at fluff. Either that, or the TGM fandom is just really, really nice (or both). On the more nuts and bolts of things, I usually only write something when I feel I have a good handle on the character voice, and my grammar is generally really good (although when I'm tired I fuck up tenses and have had to go back and fix that too many times to count). I also think I do a pretty good job with making romance sweet but not over the top.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Comedy. I occasionally write some funny lines, but it's very hard for me to write jokes if I'm intending to do so. Also, as previously mentioned, I will sometimes switch between past and present tense without noticing and have to go back and fix that. And I really struggle with writing long fics (I just run out of steam). Which is why I've mostly moved to writing series of shorter fics instead of multi-chaptered fics.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Depends. Usually, I'm not going to bother. I just put some Hebrew in a fic because a character was celebrating a Jewish holiday, but it wasn't a whole passage, just a phrase that I think can be worked out from context (although I'm going to put in an end note to help give some additional context for anyone who isn't familiar with that particular Jewish holiday). But I'm not going to ever do anything more than that - I think it makes things a little harder to read, and generally, I think that you can say things like 'Radek muttered in Czech' if you want to bring in another language.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
First fandom I posted in was Good Omens, but I recently realized that I should count the comic my friend and I made in 6th grade, where we essentially put all of us and our friends into the Sammy Keyes universe (and also, wow, my character went by a man's name and dressed like a guy but still used she/her pronouns but didn't mind he/him and was essentially aromantic, and hindsight is 20/20)
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Again with the hard choices - I love so many of my fics. But right this moment, I think Autopilot (SGA) is my favorite. It's the only one I wrote longhand, and I wrote it because the SGA server was doing a challenge to write a 15-sentence fic. It was super fun to write, and I think it turned out really well.

The Storm/The Eye, Pt. 2
They start prepping for the coming storm.
Sheppard continues to have perfect trust in McKay. Again note that he's masking it in flippancy; when ever he talks about McKay to other people (and he seems to do that a lot; when you have a crush on someone you naturally want to mention them by name all the time because you are thinking about them all the time, but you try to be smooth about it like it's no big deal), he's downplaying it, he gives off the impression that he both cares for and regards McKay as less than he actually does. He tells Weir: "You know McKay'll come up with something. He's just setting himself up to be a hero."
I discussed McKay's brand of heroism and Sheppard's view of McKay as a hero previously in connection with Hide and Seek (S01E03). Sheppard does actually view McKay as a Big Damn Hero, and while here, talking with Elizabeth, he's making it sound like he's ribbing on McKay and his big ego, he does actually honestly believe those two things: that McKay will save them, and that he is a hero.
The episode lampshades this later:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
McKay is frustrated by the fact that everyone seems to be placing finding the solution to the problem squarely on his shoulders which is a lot of pressure to put on one person, no matter how brilliant they may be. He attempts to communicate this, and makes a reference to Superman.
Sheppard is a comic book geek. I mean, we actually see him reading comics in his room multiple times. He, of course, just has to comment on that. He flippantly questions McKay's comment and his tone of voice, again, indicates that he thinks McKay is about as far from Superman as one can be. This sentiment echoes around the room:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The thing is, not only does Sheppard not think that McKay is not a hero, McKay is very much a hero to him. He's just not Superman.
Later on, in Irresponsible (S03E13), an episode that hearkens back to this particular episode as this is where Kolya is introduced and that is where he is killed, the topic of heroes again comes up. Sheppard -- not McKay -- brings up the fact that McKay's hero is Batman:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, he brings this up completely unprompted, just throwing out another fact that he just happens to know about McKay. So clearly they've had a conversation about the superheroes of the DCEU at some point (and we do see them discuss Batman in particular a bunch of times). They have a lot of discussions about their shared geeky interests, so that tracks.
So. Sheppard isn't saying that McKay is not a hero here, he's saying that choosing Superman to describe him makes no sense. If he was a DCEU superhero, he'd be Batman. But Sheppard actually thinks that he's more like Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four from Marvel Comics.
Tumblr media
Yes, in First Strike (S03E20) Sheppard describes himself as Mr. Fantastic but that is a classic case of projection. Nothing about him is Mr. Fantastic. He even says that McKay is not really like the Human Torch as Teyla complains that she's not invisible (it's actually Sheppard, the person who discovered the cloaking technology of the jumpers and is able to cloak a whole ass city, that is the Invisible Woman).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mr. Fantastic is a scientist who holds multiple PhDs and frequently uses his mind to save the day, so even if McKay hadn't literally been wearing a Mr. Fantastic T-shirt (in the SG-1 episode Moebius), he would still resemble the character much better than Sheppard ever could. Also, they are having this discussion, initiated by Sheppard, during the bombardment of Atlantis so clearly "situations of certain doom" are exactly the kinds of times that Sheppard wants to debate comic book characters.
So, he's not saying McKay is not a hero, he's wanting to debate comic books because a Batman vs. Superman discussion would be a whole lot less stressful than what they're actually facing right then. He also very obviously noticed that McKay was upset when he first walked in the room, so the intent was probably to cheer him up and lighten the mood by playful teasing. And everyone else's reactions, including Rodney himself who takes offense at this because he has terrible self-esteem, just shows us how differently Sheppard views McKay from everyone else. This very thing is also lampshaded in the episode:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Granted, Zelenka does seem to be on the receiving end of a lot of the more charming sides of McKay's personality, deep down he does have a lot of respect for his colleague and is just airing out some frustration here. But this is not at all true of McKay, even if he actually agrees here that he can be a pretty horrible person.
He is not always like this. With Sheppard, in the past several episodes, we've seen him both want to and try to be a better man.
Tumblr media
And it is not that Sheppard doesn't also see this side of him. Even by this episode, we've seen Sheppard hurt by things McKay has said multiple times, even if he didn't really mean it or do it on purpose. Sheppard just accepts the bad with the good.
Ever since Hide and Seek Sheppard has been observing McKay with such a keen eye that he has a pretty good idea of what he's like. It's just that... by this time, he's in love. With the guy that he fully believes should use his brain, not his brawn, to save the day.

I’ve mentioned that there’s a ton of characters in the Fan Continuity I’m doing, although I’ve only mentioned a couple of them at this point. So, I’m just going to give a tiny bit of info for the ones I’ve already mentioned (both canon & OC’s) and I’ll eventually make my way to revealing more characters.
Optimus Prime (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself.
Elita 1 (Universe 2): She/Her/Herself.
Wheeljack (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself.
Grimlock (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself.
Ratchet (Universe 1): They/Them/Themself.
Megatron (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself, It/It’s/Itself.
Shockwave (Universe 2): It/It’s/Itself.
Knockout (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself.
Steamsight (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself, FtM.
Breakdown (Unknown): He/Him/Himself.
Rumble (Universe 2): They/Them/Themself.
Frenzy (Universe 2): It/It’s/Itself.
Waspinator (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself, They/Them/Themself.
Dinobot (Universe 1): He/Him/Himself, FtM.
Perceptor (Universe 1): They/Them/Themself.
Bumblebee (Universe 1): He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself.
Mirage (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself.
Cliffjumper (Universe 2): It/It’s/Itself.
Cheetor (Universe 1): He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself.
Skywarp (Universe 1): They/Them/Themself.
Thundercracker (Universe 2): It/It’s/Itself, He/Him/Himself.
Starscream (Universe 1): He/Him/Himself.
Soundwave (Universe 1): They/Them/Themself, He/Him/Himself, It/It’s/Itself.
Censere (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself.
Chromedome (Universe 1): He/Him/Himself.
Rewind (Universe 2): They/Them/Themself.
Swerve (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself, She/Her/Herself.
Ambulon (Universe 2): He/Him/Himself.
First Aid (Universe 2): They/Them/Themself.
There’s still a ton more, and I’ll get to them eventually- whether that’s just when I feel like it, or from an ask. And, each character throughout the whole thing gets something to do, none of them are simply just... there, doing nothing, and just kinda being a background character.
I’ve been planning everything out for each character for a little while. Anyway, here’s some extra stuff that I wanna share again:
{It takes a while, but eventually, the Autobots finally find some sort of security against Megatron for when/if he tries to sneak into the Base again to do whatever. The two ghosts that live in the base, of course.}
{Shockwave and Megatron do eventually manage to bring SG Optimus into Universe 2, although it will take longer to bring the rest of the SG Autobots, because the Portal needs to last much longer than it has previously. There’s a ton of SG Autobots, and they all need to be able to go through in time.}
{While SG Optimus does decide to help Megatron and the ‘Cons that are in Universe 2, mainly out of curiosity to see what’ll happen, he’s also just off doing his own stuff half of the time.}
{Skywarp occasionally attempts to teleport to Universe 2, because its worth a shot, they suppose. None of the attempts have actually worked, but they’ve actually teleported into that strange void that some have stayed in before appearing in either Universe.}
{There’s still no really Human Partners in either Universe 1 or Universe 2. In Universe 1, the Autobots have managed to stay fully hidden, while in Universe 2 everybody knows them, but there’s no human(s) that specifically stick around when everything’s going on. The closest would be the ghost that’s in the base with their ghost cat.}
{Before the Universe 2 stuff, Megatron had attacked, and almost killed Elita. This has caused Optimus to grow more protective over her just a little bit, he’s worried, but he still knows that she can handle herself pretty well.}
{Before the Elita thing, and still before anything involving Universe 2 happened, Megatron successfully killed a few Autobots. Some include: Hot Rod, Red Alert, Jazz, Alpha Trion, Sunstreaker & Sideswipe, and Arcee. Though there’s still some others on that list.}
{The Autobots met Censere after Jazz’s death, who had been the first on the list to perish, as he was trying to record the death. After that, they kept finding him (both under death circumstances, and just nice/regular ones), before Censere eventually decided to accompany/join them.}
{Steamsight isn’t the only OC that’s around in this. There’s also Switch, Flood, Kako, Fuseburst, and Pixel. Others are simply mentioned throughout it.}
{The Scavengers were off in the middle of an adventure, when one of those Portals from the device appeared, and took all of them (including Flywheels & Grimlock), to Universe 2. They all still kind of do their own thing.}

@galactic-pirates thanks so much for the tag!! ❤️❤️❤️
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
77, currently. Participating in my first October in fandom really boosted my numbers. Most are Stargate SG-1 stories.
2. What’s your total ao3 word count?
400,661.
I thought it would actually be higher, but I've only been on AO3 since May of this year, so...
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Sanctuary (22) and Stargate SG-1 (53) , currently. My two favorite fandoms and I'm really trying to boost my Sanctuary numbers since I've burst on to the scene of a such a small fandom I love.
I have written an X-Files story, but I don't plan on writing more.
I did write for Fantastic Beasts (3) a few years ago and posted my old works because I was proud of my writing, but I'm not currently in that fandom.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Flufftober really changed my numbers, so this is my brand-new tally. All of them are Sam/Jack one-shots. (Hence the short summaries)
One Snowy Day (Stargate SG-1, Flufftober) - 53
Off-planet, Sam comes down with a cold.
Two Kinds of Sparks (Stargate SG-1, Tumblr request) - 52
Sam Carter owns her own mechanic shop, struggling to get by. Her day gets a lot more interesting when a mystery man comes into her shop for repairs.
One Rainy Day (Stargate SG-1, Flufftober) - 51
On a rainy day off-planet, Sam and Jack hang out in a tent.
Blue Jell-O (Stargate SG-1, Flufftober) - 48
Five times Jack didn't eat blue jell-o and one time he did.
Oops (Stargate SG-1, Flufftober) - 46
Sam accidentally injures Jack.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
My policy is always to respond to comments, because I very much appreciate getting them and want to express my gratitude to the people who took the time to leave a comment.
My one, new exception is one particular user. I've started ignoring them after seeing they were continuing toxic behavior (that I didn't recognize when it was aimed towards me) towards a fellow writer and friend. (I will elaborate under the hate question)
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oof, I write a lot of angst and whump, but I try not to leave off with an angsty ending and I have a lot of on-going stories that aren't going to have 'happy' endings when I get there. Hmm....
I'd have to say right now it would have to be 'You Said You'd Never Leave' (Sanctuary), because that involved canonical whump and angst. 'The Last of the Tau'ri' (Stargate SG-1) probably also counts, but since it was a crossover/rewrite based off 'The Last of Us' with the characters, I don't count it as being *my* ending.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Here comes this question right after Flufftober. Ha! (I now have many fluff endings).
Probably 'To Love is to Hurt' (Fantastic Beasts), but I'm a little reluctant on that one, though it does involve fluff, healing, and a baby.
'First Night' (Sanctuary) involves so much family feels, though, I have to slip that one in there too.
8. Do you get hate on fic?
Now this is complicated. I once had a reader tell me they wanted to block me for my story 'Laundry Day' because I disgusted them.
Other than that, as I previously mentioned, I have had problems with a toxic reader/commentor. They have (sometimes) told me I did good on a story, but then immediately try to tie each Sanctuary story into their precise view of canon, and correct me when I didn't fall into that, editing their comments upwards of a dozen times.
They used language such as 'I was surprised by this, but I'm okay with it' and 'I thought you put this in here because you just really liked this in Sanctuary, not because it lined up with the crossover' and 'You have become repetitive in your dynamic' followed by 'You have succeeded in surpassing your roadblock' on the next chapter.
So, it wasn't *hate* precisely, but most definitely very toxic/bullying behavior that I didn't recognize until I wanted to explode in defense of a friend.
9. Do you write smut?
Nope. I wouldn't know where to start.
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes, I do!
My story 'Come Now, Little One...' (Stargate SG-1/Sanctuary) is a story about Sam Carter being Helen Magnus's biological daughter and being raised in the Sanctuary Network before joining the SGC.
'Tesla's Moving Castle' is a Sanctuary/Howl's Moving Castle crossover that is so much fun.
'The Abnormal X-File' (Sanctuary/The X-Files) is about Mulder and Scully discovering the Five and the Sanctuary Network.
I have many other ideas I haven't gotten down yet.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No that I am aware of.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not yet, but I would love to do so in my chosen fandoms with authors I'm familiar with/are familiar with me!
My sometimes-beta has proposed co-writing, though, so it may happen sometime soon.
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
Probably Sam/Jack if you look at my works. They're great. But I also refuse to choose between Helen/John and Helen/Nikola because they are great for different reasons. I'm actually new to shipping, so I stand by these for the moment.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?
I don't publish without being certain I'm going to finish, so...probably my unpublished WIP about Sam Carter and Jonas Hansen, because I really don't know how to write that.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I would have to say my determination to finish my stories is probably my biggest strength. I've abandoned many (original) works in the past and I don't want to continue that, so I keep going, even when it's very hard.
I'm also pretty good at angst and whump and have lots of ideas.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
A lot.
I struggle with description of emotions and background, to the point where I'm always afraid my stories are lacking even when I'm very happy with them.
Fluff has been difficult for me (hence my undertaking of Flufftober) and I always feel my happy writing is forced.
I also overthink far too much.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've sprinkled in a little bit and I would love to do it more, but I don't have access to anything other than Google Translate for most languages, so I'm hesitant to do so because I don't want to be wrong or disrespectful.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Warrior Cats. I never have (and never will) publish anything for it and I wrote it before I knew fanfiction was even a thing. I was a kid and obsessed with the battle kitties. I must have been around 10 at the time.
The first fandom I knowingly wrote a fanfiction for was Fantastic Beasts after the second movie was released.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Cruel to make me choose. 'The Abnormal X-File' is one of the pieces I'm proudest of, so it falls there because I'm rarely so proud of my writing. 'Bleeding Through the Blue' (Sanctuary, WIP) and 'Mind Over Matter' (Stargate SG-1, WIP) also fall in there.
Tagging @electricrogue, @wittywallflower, @lanistas, @misscrazyfangirl321, and @tina-mairin-goldstein
The questions!
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
2. What’s your total ao3 word count?
3. What fandoms do you write for?
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
8. Do you get hate on fic?
9. Do you write smut?
10. Do you write crossovers?
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
