september 15, 2014 — a day after a theorist attack on the american congress in washington d.c. both of them had seen this happen on the tv, though still in two separate houses. marisa had called to inform him she had something important to tell him and they should meet as soon as possible. her husband, unsurprisingly, had a business to attend in the capital city. once the news of the attack spread all over every news channel on tv, asriel was pretty convinced it was what marisa was going to share. after all they both heard whispers. both from one and the same person — edward coulter. his dear university friend and his lover's husband. he's been discreetly going on and on about the upcoming changes in the us government. asriel, once being an active man in politics, was encouraged to re-enter the former ranks and join a vast project that was going to greatly impact their futures as well as the whole country's. asriel had an important news to tell marisa as well.

the news of agreeing to her husband's proposal a week before he left boston. asriel's decision based on the undeniable tension that told him it was better to find himself in the eye of the storm and be informed first hand. the whole idea of forming an organisation called the sons of jacob. the name itself revolting at best, its ideas unthinkable for most people living in twenty first century. he wasn't informed of what would be the immense operation everyone within the organisation has been whispering about. officially, it was an isis organized action. they both knew, though, it wasn't the case. what he heard just seconds before, though, seemingly had nothing to do with the attack. nothing to do with the shaky politics. nothing to do with curtural changes. and yet it had everything to do with it.

R.I.P FLUTEDROP ✝ 18.NOV.2014 "yesterday show was the last flutedrop show i’ll play until further notice. flutedrop is just a name now. it doesn’t have a meaning anymore and the movement is over. it’s like the end of a relationship but it’s ended on a high" i remember writing this in a text note in my computer desktop after my last show in belgium, my mind was full of contradictory ideas. that's why it took me some days to finally say this. I LEAVE FLUTEDROP. me, dj detweiler, the originator. leave the genre. as everyone knows, last year i created this whole new genre called flutedrop, and it was awesome, i enjoyed every small bit of it when it was growing and that….. when i uploaded the first flutedrop remix all the people loling hard, going crazy and sharing it with all their friends and beloved people.... they did care about flutedrop, they loved it… now all that is over flutedrop is everywhere and all those rats from the major labels are doing their thing with it, is easy to sell something if you just put the flutedrop label on it, people are making flutedrop without soul and passion, just copying a copy of a copy of the originator, me. everything started when all the copycats (will not say names, everyone knows) without even giving me credit ripped flutedrop off, and sold it as a cheap commercial formula….. then all this big corporations said “oh, that’s peng, let’s make lot of money out of it” they took the control of what i started with lot of love and dedication and even never mentioned my name. nowaday i see big festivals with huge screens projecting all this commercial videos full of stereotypes, oversized booties twerking, caffeine drinks, drugs, hate, gold, and lifestyles that we will never have and they want us to buy..... in this festivals they are teaching this to the teenagers, while playing (2nd wave copy of) flutedrop on the speakers AT THE SAME TIME!!! , and that is totally what i don’t want. when things like this happen, i feel like i’m out of frame. and well… now i am. i’m out. this doesn’t mean real flutedrop is over, and when i wrote before RIP FLUTEDROP, doesn’t mean is dead, it means THE ORIGINAL FLUTEDROP performed by me, dj detweiler, flutedrop originator, is over, i mean…. there are super talented guys out there doing flutedrop that will take my spirit and will continue it... not only all this commercial copycats…. also…. flutedrop will be forever something big, and if i just stop producing and performing it, that doesn’t mean is over, FLUTEDROP WILL LIVE FOREVER, is a sound of a generation, a way of life, flutedrop's dead. long live flutedrop of course not everything have been bad stuff.... i remember early this year really nice moments. i've met lot of artist that i was big fan of them. i played in a gay wedding festival in uk i produced a song that was the present of another wedding. just when i imagine that flutedrop was the present of a wedding of someone who actually doesn’t know me….. i think it did worth it. i also met a girl in belgium who told me she felt in love with her boyfriend because flutedrop, basically flutedrop broke the friendzone, and now they are together and in love 3 FOREVER, thats peng i also remember how (thanks to all my fans) i released a couple vinyls, and started running this awesome record label called chin stroke records (yes is my label, and you should buy cassettes now). i will always remember all the flutedrop orchestras that i did in every concert. they were incredible. thank you everyone who brought a flute and played alongside me !!! also every private message in soundcloud of random people writing me stuff like "you are the best human in the world". ok, i know probably i am not, but... that push my ego to the top when i’m sad, and makes me happy the idea of other people having fun and sharing it because me :) i’m over with flutedrop, but this doesn't mean i will leave my mission of bringing bangers, i will (maybe, I can't promise) some day produce some other kind of bangers, but i’m sure if i do it, there won't be flutes on them, i leave that to the next generation.... and well. yea. probably i will dj some tunes in some bar or club, someday, if someone is interested... and probably i continue chin stroke fm, the radio station i started with my mates (thanks to them too) with the end of my career as the flutedrop leader, i will disappear for a long time. i will be watching over you though. perhaps i will even join flutedrop under another name. but i will no longer be a leader, just another guy like you. is time to experiment, and refresh my mind, you know.... the creative process….. sometimes is difficult to continue without a break, now i need to be on standby mode and travel all over the world, meet all the friends and famous producers i met this year and eat lot of different croissant
