ooohhh that's the destiel one lmao it's based on the song i exist i exist i exist by flatsound. ive got this sort of back and forth like childhood where dean and sam are dealing with their dad being drunk/abusive and then flashing forward to them settling down in my own post finale au where the finale actually didn't happen and everyone is alive and happy ☺️ my favorite part of that one actually is sam because he's a trans man in this and i adore writing dean as a supportive sibling (esp protecting him from John in their childhood)

I have been seeing how the SuperWhoLock era on tumblr back in 2010s replaced with another holy trinity today, which are Good Omens, Our Flag Means Death and What We Do In The Shadows.

I must say one thing; GAYS, WE DID IT!

I want need to share some of my feelings and it will be a little too long to read.

I was in high school in superwholock era and I have been in tumblr all the time and witnessed all the superwholock era, the marauders fancast era, the glee era.

I remember the Wolfstar, I remember us trying to get hints about Destiel for 15 f*cking seasons and I remember trying to prove people how Sherlock was autistic and in love with John and probably ace. Even Benedict said he didn’t think Sherlock was autistic at some point. We tried to make sense how the doctor ends up being a cis hetero white man every time even though they are AN ALIEN.

We were trying to find people like us in things we love, we were trying to feel represented by the stories we created and added to the things we loved.

I am not trying to be a hater, I loved superwholock with all my heart and i still do. I still even love harry potter and glee with all the problematic things in them because of how they made me feel back then. I know it wasn’t always producer’s or writer’s fault. I know Hannibal was made subtle because of the network. I know first thing RTD did when he came back was casting a black queer man.

But still I cannot tell you the relief of not hunting for clues anymore. I cannot tell you the relief how my representation is not a headcanon anymore. I am a autistic queer woman and I am happy with my life now, I know who I am, I love who I am. But the relief of knowing that little girl from 10-15 years ago would have such an easier life today. I am ineffably happy to see how clear our representation is today. I just hope it will get better and better everyday.

All-time, I'd have to say Destiel, just purely based on the number of years I was infested with that particular brainrot.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

I don't doubt. That's a bad way of thinking. I currently have a gay Steve college AU fic that I'm having trouble shaping so it's just been rotating in my brain microwave as random scenes for 2 weeks now, but we'll get there eventually.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Based on reader feedback I guess characterization and dialogue

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Coming up with more creative vocabulary

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

What other language? Okay like if I had to write fic for ST in Polish or Russian I'd probably be in trouble 'cos I never heard the translated versions of the show, never seen them, so I wouldn't even know how the characters actually talk in the translations

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Oh god. Okay. So, millenials you know that Numanuma song. So um. Yeah the band actually had a very small fandom. And yes there was RPS being written and I was one of about 10 people doing that. Yeeeeah. Fuck off, I was like 15 years old.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Love blooms, love hurts, love prevails wrecked me emotionally and I still love it so much. The most fun to write though was probably Higher education

I made this bang multi-ship for a reason. There are incredible storylines within canon and within fanon that fill in the blanks or rewrite the narrative for so many beloved characters. As a destiel shipper (who keeps most of their socials private), it is not surprising that most of my reach for the first round of the bang also hit other destiel shippers. We are a small bang and that’s the main ship for all of our teams BUT I strongly strongly encourage the inclusion of femslash and rarepairs.

Our only rule for pairings was no incest and no underage explicit content.

The inclusion of characters of color is and will always be welcome barring racism and aggressions towards these characters.

Who are we if not creators with the ability to right the many wrongs that happened against non-white & non-male characters within the show?

Who are we, especially as white people, to discourage creators of color from finding themselves in these narratives and giving these characters the storyline and depth they deserve? And while we can't fix the source material, we can make this fandom a better space by supporting and uplifting those who want to create a better story for the characters who didn't receive the treatment they deserved.

We are a small bang but we are a Supernatural bang focused on the work of Mitski, who is an artist of color. We love her and we love this show. Myself and the other mod feel like it’s important to show our support when it comes to people furthering the narrative and creating stories for the characters who were deemed disposable by the show but hold place in our hearts, community, and lived experiences.

Now we’re gonna go play Your Best American Girl and create some stories.
