As you woke up, you were greeted by a barrage of blinding, uncomfortable fluorescent lights. It took a moment for your vision to come back to you, but when it did, you realized you were chained to the floor by a metal collar with a Monokuma face on it. The Monokuma pulsed with lights and beeped occasionally, the threat of what it could do to you alone very present. As you looked around, you spotted three people around you, you in the center of a circular table with the middle cut out, similar to what newscasters use, but full circle.

"Oh, good! You're awake!"

A cheerful young man giggles, leaning slightly over the table excitedly to face you.

This statement came from a light-haired man with an obscenely normal smile for the statement he's just made.

However, merciful as we are, and for the thrill alone, we have decided to allow you to choose who determines your fate. You can choose me, Celestia Ludenberg, Ultimate Gambler and Despair, with my cards... You can choose Nagito Komaeda, Ultimate Lucky Student and Despair, with his beloved wheel of fortune... KiriMina is fine with me, though it's obviously not my fave haha I have unusual headcanons about the ship too that aren't very compatible with what I've seen of the ship in the fandom (or even in later canon lmao), so I don't really seek it out most of the time!

my personal opinion is they'd be more fun as a sort of rival ship, I feel it's something that could happen naturally with the way their personalities clash, how Kiri saw her being so naturally talented while he had to work hard and had all his insecurities, and the way she was teasing him when they started at UA? that's something that could spark a sort of rivalry imo

So my username lore kinda has two parts! The card themed url was loosely inspired by Harley Quinn. My favorite gal of all time! She's had a card suit theme going on for a while, so the choice to go with a card suit-themed url is thanks to her.

Getting into the specifics, though, my url is mainly an asexuality reference. Ofc there’s the whole calling asexuals "aces" for short, and I chose the nickname "Ace" partially because of that. The ace of spades is a symbol for the ace community, and the ace of hearts is often used as a symbol for romantic asexuals, which I am. And all that together formed “Ace of Hearts and Spades” (or “Ace of Spades and Hearts”, but I always liked the former better lol).

And so on October 2021, the blog "ace-of-hearts-and-spades" was born. It's been almost three slutty slutty years 🥂✨
