Chan : tries to write music, but he no longer can. Every time he's in the studio, he waits for his s/o to show up and keep him company. But they never will again.

Minho : stares at the ring everyday and wonders what it would look like on his partners finger. Gets so lost in his thoughts that he doesn't realize it's not them walking through the door but the members.

Changbin : sits and just stares. Fiddles with the promise ring he gave his s/o. Eventually gets a chain to put the ring on so he can wear it. Never takes his off.

Hyunjin : is literally surrounded by drawings and paintings of his partners face. Buys the perfume/cologne they wore just to spray it on their pillow as a way to keep them close.

Jisung : throws himself into his work, writing song after song about the loss of a loved one. Wants to quit but knows his partner wouldn't want him to, so he tries his best to continue on.

Felix : goes to all the places him and his partner were supposed to go to together and takes so many pictures. His walls are covered in pictures of the places he's been. He talks to himself as if talking to them, telling them all about his trips.

Seungmin : hated coming home to an empty house so he got a dog. The dog brought a smile to his face because he would run to the door when Seungmin would come home, just like his s/o did. Hates when he comes back from walking the dog because he remembers that his partner isn't there to greet them.

Jeongin : numb. Just completely numb. No longer flinches away from the members affection because he imagines it to be his s/o. He closes his eyes and pretends it's them, leaning into the touch of the members.

this is quite self indulgent (you have no obligation to respond if this is not something you are down to write, i totally get it lol), but as someone with ptsd, i get nightmares more nights than i don’t. this kinda made me realize- how would keeper! simon react if he can hear feral having a nightmare in her room, especially with his rule of letting their space be theirs and theirs alone? how do you think the other would react to one if they were watching her?

And oooh yeah, nightmares I can def do.

The first time it happens is early on in your time with him. No surprise, your life has been turned upside down and you’re still very frightened of him! It’s entirely understandable. He also knows that going in to wake you up probably won’t help.

So he turns your light on so that when you wake up, it won’t be dark. He leaves a glass of water at the door, and a heating pack in case you need it.

The next morning, he’s extra slow and careful with you. You’re so tired you barely even notice.

Later on, he starts gently waking you. He doesn’t mind that you react violently, just makes sure you don’t fall out of your tall bed. He offers you things - water, snacks, a trip outside for fresh air, a cuddle? The first time you ask him to just… stay, don’t speak don’t touch, just be in the room, his heart melts. He stays until you fall asleep.

He gets you a pretty fake moon that he hangs from the ceiling. It casts a pretty soft glow that’s much easier to wake up to after nightmares. You bump your forehead against his arm in thanks for that.

When you two actually have a bond, though, you’re running into his room if he’s not already in yours. The “your bed is untouchable” rule no longer applies if you’re screaming and sobbing and hyperventilating in your sleep. And that’s by your own permission! You told him that!

You can’t handle being held after a nightmare, don’t like feeling trapped or pinned. So he just stays where you can see him, hands to himself and you decide the level of contact. Sometimes you yank him down to play with his hair to soothe yourself. Sometimes you lean into his side for something sturdy and warm. On really bad nights, the two of you go back to his room. He lies on his side facing away and you press against his back, palm flat to make your breaths match his. He stays awake all night those times, just to make sure you sleep alright.

When he’s away, you’re much more likely to have nightmares. Unfortunately, the care guides are not very helpful. You won’t let anyone do what he does for you, and you react to them all differently.

Price takes a similar approach to Simon in the beginning. Leaves things for you to comfort yourself with and stays available if you need to be with someone. Later on, after you’ve gotten more used to him, sometimes you creep out of your room and sit in the couch with him. It works for you, even if you’re very tired and grumpy the next day.

Johnny will only enter your room if it’s really bad to wake you up. Those are the few times you’ve apologized for biting or scratching him. He brings you hot chocolate and holds your hand a respectful distance away, sometimes on the couch, sometimes on the floor of your room. He asks what you’ve dreamed of, but you never tell him.

Gaz is allowed in your room always to wake you up. You feel so bad if he doesn’t dodge fast enough and gets hit or bit. He just shakes it off a little smile and squeezes your hand. He takes you out to the sunporch to look at the stars under blankets usually. Or cuddles up on the couch with you to watch cartoons or comedies or tiktoks. Sometimes if he asks, you do tell him. But you feel bad for doing that whenever you do.

My brain is running with ideas…faux dad!jj, reader’s dad was pretty absent in her life and jj stepped in to help her mom not have to raise a kid on her own, I’d imagine this jj to look similar to jim hopper from stranger things (when he was nice and plump yk) , I don’t think he’d be sleezy and weird until reader turns 18 or 19 and she starts getting out of hand because she’s “grown” (her words 🤷🏽‍♀️) and one day jj and reader get into a huge fight because she wants to go to some party with a skirt “entirely too short” and a top “that’s more like a belt”, when she starts getting about how she’s grown and can do whatever she wants..jj decides to test her on that, pounding her and telling her to take it like the big girl she claims to be

I shall tryyyy I honestly don’t give the socs as much thought as I probably should so let’s see

- Marcia was the one who gave Cherry her nickname when they became friends in like kindergarten and they both loved it because it sounded similar enough to her real name but was so much cooler to them

- Cherry seems like she would be popular and don’t get me wrong she definitely is, she knows a lot of people and has a solid friend group, but one of the only people she genuinely enjoys spending time with is Marcia, that’s her bffl they just get each other so well

- if we’re going off the musical as well I think Cherry likes Bev but in like a weird way kinda, she enjoys when she and Marcia hang out with her and thinks she genuinely has a good personality when you get to know her but she hatesss the way Bev is so mean to other people, like I’m pretty sure in at least the la jolla version of the musical it was said that Bev is the richest soc and it’s clear that she thinks really lowly of anyone else not on her level. She has the potential to be a really sweet girl when she wants to be, she just definitely has a huge superiority complex. Cherry and Bev’s friendship is one of those where you’re almost afraid of the other person because even though they’re nice to you, you know they’re not a nice person. Cherry is just glad she’s on Bev’s good side most of the time. Post book events, she steers clear of her as much as she can

- Bob and Cherry knew each other in middle school and she didn’t like him that much because he seemed mean but he really really liked her so by the time high school came around, he tried super hard to be sweet to her and show her his other side that she eventually fell for

- that’s why she felt so torn when everything went down because she knew how Bob was and she knew a lot of it was his fault, but she sees things from the most nuanced perspective because she knew his other side, she knew he had the potential to be such a good person, he just needed a better environment and support system

- she blames herself for everything a lot because she feels like she could’ve been more supportive toward him and maybe things would’ve went differently:(

- after the events of the book Marcia and Randy both kind of took her under their wings and became super protective of her, a lot of the other socs were kinda weird towards her after everything because rumors just go around and misinformation is spread and some people blame her for everything. She cried to Marcia after she finally had a breakdown and begged Marcia not to abandon her too because now she’s all she has left :’(

- that got angsty so let’s be happy again. I imagine based on lines from the book and the musical that a lot of soc parents tend to be emotionally or even physically quite distant like say they’re gone for work a lot of the time. Cherry and Marcia pretty much have free reign all the time because their parents are away a lot so they spend a lot of time together having sleepovers and just doing fun things together :) they looove to bake and do makeup and they could literally talk for hours and hours. Just bff things

- Marcia and Cherry are lowkey like Steve and Sodapop to me like they’re bffs who will go to the end of the earth for each other and would defend each other with their lives they love and care about each other so much

Definitely got inspired by the war prize aus and did way too much research.

Dignitaries from the Gupta empire have arrived in Constantinople to pay their respects to the newly appointed emperor Morpheus. Among them is a guard named Hob who because of his mothers britannic nationality and odd name is often abused by his peers.

Hob expects the worst of the emperor’s character as he follows the ambassadors to the throne room carrying one of the tribute chests. They are led into the throne room where a rather admittedly handsome man sits on the throne conversing with a woman writing faster than Hob thought possible.

The familiar diplomatic drudgery commences as the ambassadors begin to present the gifts with as much gradué as possible.

It was all going well until Hob brings forth his assigned chest and is tripped by a fellow guard. Jewelry is scattered all over the floor, most of them breaking apart making even more of a mess.

Worst of all Hob doesn’t catch himself properly and dislocates his shoulder with an audible pop.

The diplomats immediately begin apologizing, pinning all the blame on Hob who sits there, quietly trying to endure the pain. It’s when one of them says “you know how these half breeds are.” That the emperor yells “ENOUGH” and walks to where Hob is kneeling, refusing to look at the emperor. “Remove your wicked selves from this honored hall before I have my men throw you out.” Hob can hear the frantic footsteps begin to leave.

He goes to stand and follow but a gentle hand lands on his head stopping him. “Are you hurt little one?” asks the emperor who is currently combing through Hob’s hair. “I will be fine, your majesty, you need not worry about someone like me.”

The emperor sighs “Even I know an injured limb when I see one. Come we will have it set by the royal physician.”

Two weeks later Hob (having spent those days getting to know his host, in more ways than one) watches from the window of the infirmary as the delegation and their entourage practically flee from the palace.

“If you wish to return to your homeland I shall provide a ship to take you there.” Says Morpheus standing behind him.

Hob shakes his head “My family is dead and I am practically an outsider, there is nothing to go back to”

Suddenly Morpheus has his head resting on his uninjured shoulder whispering into his ear “Could I persuade you to stay here then? To keep as a companion who’s only duty is to keep my cock warm and my growing appetite for you satiated.”

Hob whimpers as Morpheus moves his dhoti to grasp and tug at his dick “Why me?”

Ah yes, the depression nest, I know it well.

I think Simon, while trying to respect your space, couldn’t let you have the nest after a certain point for long. He’d offer to clean it up as long as you gave him permission, but it needs at least a little tidying up. He understands, he really does, and this is just another part of taking care of you.

Johnny will just clean it up himself. If you get upset, well love, what was he supposed to do? If you don’t feel like cleaning your room, hes happy to do it, but he won’t have you living in less than you deserve. It’s okay, he knows it’s hard sometimes.

Since keeping your room reasonably clean is part of your chores/rules, there’s a certain point when Price would warn that you need to start tidying up. If it gets worse that’s grounds for discipline. But if it continues, or he notices that it’s more than just the room, he’ll work with you to figure out a better system or cut you some slack.
