The newer Leo/need events have been feeling a bit off to me, and I think it’s because past events focused on their character flaws and challenges, but now with character development, they can’t falling back into old habits (and we don’t want them to, like can you imagine the hate if Honami tossed all her development out the window?)

The issue is that it kinda leaves the girls in a weird spot, because they don’t have any obvious issues to address, so they aren’t getting the type of character-defining events that they used to get (Resonating with You or No Seek No Find style events)

The broader focus is great, they’re achieving their dreams. It’d be interesting to see an event where someone is at risk of backsliding, like grappling with that temptation. But like, they can still have flaws, flaws make the characters interesting. Especially if their growth means that if they have to see the same trait in a different perspective. Like Shiho’s whole deal in their early stories.

Anyways, point is, the girls should face more challenges.

okok so i didn't want mizu6 to be about mafuyu and i'm glad it's not. but at this point it's starting to feel like knmf events and mzen events are just two parallel storylines. i really really don't want to say that n25 feels more like a group of two pairs than vbs does, but in the past year it's definitely been getting there. sure ena fussed over kanade in kana5 and mizuki gave mafuyu a friendship bracelet in mafu6 but actual plot relevant stuff has mostly stayed within the two main pairs. worst instance was definitely how the entire mizuki arc wasn't so much as mentioned in kana5 when it could have added a really interesting layer to kanade feeling "unreliable."

disclaimer that i did still really enjoy all the n25 events we've had since 4th (except kana5) and i haven't read anything from mizu6 yet.

THE SYMBOLISM of how mizu1 was her wearing a WIP dress and the room was pink and pretty but it was actually a mess with all the materials laying around.. then mizu5 devastating state of things with Mizuki’s dress being torn apart and the mannequins looking dead.. and then mizu6 where she is wearing a reasonable dress which is fully complete and it represents how she is entering the real life and that the real life future is possible for her :)

As someone who was a huge Kohane fan year one seeing how this game has treated her writing wise hurts me so much. Please give her a good interesting event or at least something worth note, the second she got over her shyness she stopped having any personal struggles that weren't shared by VBS. I don't think she's a Mary Sue but just do something interesting with her.

Mizu 5 warped the fandom around itself so much in a way that’s detrimental to other groups and characters. Don’t get me wrong, Mizu 5 was amazing, and it shows what they can do when they can put in a lot of effort into an event.

But that’s the thing, they can’t invest as many resources into most events as they can the Mizu 5 + Ena event segment. They pulled out all the stops and achieved the pinnacle of what a great event can be, that people forgot that most events are either mid, or only good. Saki and Akito had events that were completely overshadowed by the anticipating for the Ena follow up. We still have people talking about bells tolling. I bet a bunch of people don’t even realize that Baka no Hana isn’t the event comm because it’s so tied to the event thanks to the fandom.

Mizu 5 had 4 years of anticipation and a lot of hype built up. I really can’t see anyone be this hyped for Haruka 6 or Ichika 7.

I feel like one major issue with VBS's writing is that every characters arc has come to a pretty natural conclusion so now they're just padding out time for no reason. The only character who has anything resembling a new character arc is Toya and in order to achieve said new arc they retconned the hell out of Harumichi for no damn reason.

People complain about Over rad squad, because characters from other units havent attended Rad Blast. At first it sounds like a good idea, Minori, Shiho, Haruka, Mizuki and the Tenmas could attend the event to show support. It be would cool, right? Maybe, but I see why the writers decided against it.

Rad Weekend was huge for Vivid Street, it inspired a new generation of musicians and gave motivation to VBS to surpass it. It was also a local event, the story drives home how important were the regulars on Vivid Street and their connection to Nagi in making Rad Weekend happen.

1. The presence of other characters would distract from the connection VBS has with Vivid Street and vbsNPCs. They don't know anyone here, they don't know much about Rad Weekend and aren't interested in it. It's not their style of music, and they have very little connection to Vivid Street. Like, Haruka doesn't know who Arata is.

2. Rad Weekend was BIG. It changed the trajectory of VBS characters forever, and Rad Blast was supposed to be even bigger, even better. If other characters saw it too, it'd HAVE to impact them. Would Mizuki start her rap career after seeing Rad Blast? It would be funny but come on man, it's a good idea for an AU, but not for the canon story.

The idea of Rad Blast impacting other characters is fun and could be explored in fanfic, but I like how it was done in the game. VBS was supposed to take on the world so there's a chance of other characters seeing their concert sometime in the future.

I hope the tone of the ask wasn't aggressive or anything, I just feel like some people are too negative about it and I wanted them to see a different point of view👍

Emu's vocals in Goodbye Sengen are INCREDIBLE and sound so unique from her standard singing voice. I would love love love a cover for her in the future.

I'm so sick of all the all white costumes lately that are coming with cards and people contiuing to glaze them even though theyre boring. you can only be so creative with only white until it gets repetitive and unmemorable. it's like sad beige mom but for project sekai players. second of all, is it just me or have i straight up not heard much (if anything) about mizu6? i dont see people talking about it nearly as much as i did in her last focus (i know its an unfair comparison). i didnt even know it started today until another anon mentioned it
