﹙ ⏳ ﹚ ׅ ׅ ׅ CHRONOS SEVEN is a south korean boy group managed by HYBE LABELS, debuting on march 11, 2019. the current lineup consists of SAMUEL, MINJUN, DAEHWI, QIAN &&. EVERETT. the group is well known as “txt’s brother group”, but never quite reached the same success. originally debuting with two additional members – LEE and ELLIE, who would depart only three days after debut – chronos seven, also referred to as CROSS, would release their debut single ICE AGE exactly one week after txt.

the boys are well known for being self-produced, as hybe put them on the backburner after their initial hype died. every now and then a release of theirs goes viral, with their most notable releases being TURN BACK TIME and FANTASIA. their sound is nothing short of unique, with the group being acclaimed for following their own trends instead of focusing on becoming mainstream. this has, however, caused a rift between the group and potential listeners.

the group are also well known for their lore, which fans refer to as RIFT VALLEY. it follows the story of five time travellers who are separated into many different timelines, and trying to reunite by collecting time crystals. each comeback further develops this story, with creative director MIYU ISHIIDA assisting in moving the story along. despite this, chronos seven is hybe’s most lackluster group.

Oh 🤔 actually, it's very common for me to have dreams that have an unsettling vibe to them 🤪 (ofc leading to looking for the meanings of the motifs involved, and they always blow my mind bcs they are very accurate), I don't often dream lovely and cute things 🥲 Anyway, once I dreamed of a pretty fluffy scenario with a rl crush 😔 we were so silly and in love *sighs deeply*

Oh my, I would be sooooo conflicted! Being able to see the future, how humanity will further progress and regress would be super interesting. I want to write a character in my fangan as autistic. Any tropes I should steer clear of? I know you don't represent the whole autistic community, but you're the first openly autistic person I know. :)

okay yeah I’ll definitely help out. Here are some tropes to be wary of, and I can help with further development like behavior and such:

They don’t have to be a genius. We aren’t all geniuses. I’m fact, the school system screws many of us over, so it’s common to have autistic people who failed, or have gifted kid burnout if they went undiagnosed. Some people might benefit from the structure of school (like myself) while others may struggle with the new environment or be bullied for the inability to mask their symptoms.

We aren’t all apathetic. We aren’t machines. Actually, a lot of us hate being called fucking machines. I bring this up, because that guy in Big Bang Theory is a perfect example of something you shouldn’t do. We have feelings, although we may suck at understanding them, but something about autism is that we can have low empathy, but show compassion. We can be sympathetic and not empathic, or have extremely high empathy. I might not be able to be empathetic and put myself in someone’s shoes all the time, but I can be sympathetic and compassionate and show that I care and help out. Or, I can be hyper-empathetic and get second hand embarrassment from movies. It’s a spectrum, it’s different for everyone.

actually, that’s another tip! It’s a spectrum! And this also means that your autistic character can shift in how they deal with their symptoms too. For example, a lot of people like using “high functioning” for autistics who mask (hide their symptoms) well, and “low functioning” for those who can’t (think nonverbal and stimming in public). The thing is, we fluctuate. If someone is stressed, they can go nonverbal, or if someone who normally can’t control their stims is in a great place, they might be able to mask better.

Also, autism is a disability. It’s a disorder, not a mental illness. Something to keep in mind, because that means it doesn’t go away. We simply have to deal with living in a world not structured for us.

Uh, I don’t know that many tropes so .

Oh, but I’ll say this. We are very into moral systems and rules, and usually make our own. For example, if this makes sense, then we’ll follow it. This means that most of us are pretty understanding of people outside of the norm, as well as being able to stick to our choices no matter if we’re in public or in private. We tend to be more true to ourselves and our beliefs, unless masking demands we give those up of course.

I’d love to tell more, like about stims and other behaviors, but you asked for tropes and I’ve already fallen off topic.
