For the vampire Mikaelson’s, what part of their lovers body is their favourite place to bite? Neck, wrist, inner thigh etc and how likely are they to ravish them or make it a more intimate experience? 🖤
vampire!mikaelson's favourite place to feed from you...
a/n: i didn't include finn because ik he hated being a vampire and i honestly don't think he'd really enjoy it. also, i'm lazy. oops. 18+, sort of sexual content/sexual themes (not full smut but explicit mentions of it)
mikaelson siblings masterlist
elijah
i think elijah would love drinking from your wrist
i feel like his biggest fear would be hurting you, especially after how he learned that he was the one who killed tatia
he often doesn't trust himself when it comes to the women he loves. in turn, he will pierce your wrist as he drinks from you, one hand pressing it to his mouth while his other hand cups your face gently, holding your gaze on him. his eyes remain open, and they're fixed on you as a silent reminder not to get carried away and draw more blood than he should
i also feel like the eye contact makes it so much more intimate and makes the experience more special
if the two of you are making love and you ask him to feed on you, he has mixed emotions. he doesn't want to cause you any pain, but the feeling of feeding from you while he fucks you is wondrous
and so he hesitates
but all it takes is a whole lot of love and encouragement to get him there. you tell him you know he wouldn't willingly hurt you, and that you trust him more than you've ever trusted anyone
"please, 'lijah. i want you to. i want to satiate every one of your carnal desires. let me do this for you."
he is now putty in your hands
klaus
klaus loves sinking his fangs into your neck
99.9% of the time that he feeds on you is when you're in bed
the man is kinky, we all know that
once he gets a taste of you, he's going full on feral
he can truly feel you everywhere and he's so obsessed with you that it just gets him excited
he'll have one hand bracing the side of your neck he isn't drinking from, keeping you in place
he'll litter wet kisses over the skin, nibbling here and there and leaving behind small love bites if he's in the mood to mark you a little bit more
he begins to pound into you rougher as he feels the satisfaction of your blood sliding down his throat
it's hot, and tingly, and you
the man simply cannot resist
your cries are getting louder and it's spurring him on even more
he pulls back from your neck and you see the blood dripping from his lips, and he kisses you
you taste the savoury, metallic flavour of your blood
it's so sexy you lose your mind and fall apart as he pounds into you
is it hot in here? i just started sweating randonly. wonder what that's about
kol
kol, kol, kol
our cheeky little bastard
he's obsessed with feeding from your inner thighs
his large hands are kneading and squeezing your flesh, fingers brushing and trailing over your skin and getting you all worked up as he inches closer and closer to where you yearn for him the most
"kol, stop teasing"
he draws his fangs out
"all in good time, darling. i'm enjoying you"
he's such a fucking tease it's torturous
but you can't lie about the fact that it pays off in the end
also, not to be crude, but...if you have a uterus and happen to be on your period...
man is straight FEASTING
this is just so on brand for him though, not gonna lie
he's a psychopath in the best way possible and he's down for anything
"i can smell you from here, love, but i'd much rather be tasting you"
like babes, you can do whatever you want
"did i mention that orgasms help soothe menstrual cramps? no? well, they do. i'm just saying"
rebekah
i feel like our bex is a tits person
i can just imagine it
you're walking around in a low cut top and her eyes land on the bite marks adorning the ample flesh of your breasts
and it sends her off the deep endddd
she does her little smirk as her eyes trail down and you're blushing
"bex, stop. i can't focus"
"i'm sorry, love. i just thoroughly enjoy seeing the marks i've left you with. it turns me on"
and then you guys are back in bed
you're both insatiable
in-sa-tia-ble
or a back-of-the-shoulder person
you're both sat in front of a mirror
you're in front of her in between her spread legs and she's feeding on you as her hands roam all over your body
she may or may not be toying with your clit softly as she soothes you from the slight sting
rebekah just give me a chance
pLS
i beg

Hey I love your right is so I don’t have words to describe but I now yo have a lot of hope baby sister but they adorable that I have to ask if you could do one we’re she is only 5 months and only what to be with Hayley and Klaus and Hope but if any of the others pick her up she starts to cry or get cranki
Favoritism
Baby female Mikaelson reader x Hope mikaelson (+family)
Warnings: None, just whole bunch of fluff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Klaus bounces you in his arms while he walks into the courtyard of the abaittoir. Your rested against his chest with one arm wrapped around you and his other hand resting on the back of your head.
You move your gaze to everyone sat in the room. Hope is sitting beside Elijah on the couch, Freya is in an armchair, and Kol is in the other armchair.
Klaus civily greets his siblings and Hope, grunting when his phone starts to ring in his pocket. Taking his hand off your head, he pulls the phone out of his pocket. Marcel's ID contact shows on the screen. Sighing, Klaus answers the call.
He turns back around to face the four others, "I have to leave, seems Marcel has gotten into a bit of a dilemma" Klaus tells, not going into any detail. Everyone nods, Rebekah deciding to tag along with her older brother.
Klaus swiftly passes you to Kol since he was the closest to his younger brother.
After your dad leaves, Kol and you are just staring at eachother from where you're secured in his arms. "What?" Kol asks you (not expecting an answer), noticing how your gaze is not shifting off of his face.
You start squirming in your uncle's hold, wanting to get out. Before long, the squirming turns into tears running down your tiny cheeks.
Kol's eyes widen, not knowing what to do. He's never had any experience with this. Like at all. He was surprised when Klaus passed you to him in the first place.
Soon the tears turn into full on crying. Panicking further, Kol's eyes widened more than before and brings you against his chest to try and rock you like he's seen Hayley and Klaus do a bunch of times. It's doesn't help at all, at anything, it only makes you more worked up than you previously were.
He looks frantically over to his older siblings, "help!" Kol exclaims as he sees that they were just sitting there, staring, while he's now trying not to cry along with you.
Elijah stands from the couch and walks over. He bends down and picks you up out of Kol’s arms and into his own. Bouncing you in his arms and using the same techniques he's used with all his younger siblings and Hope when they were younger doesn't work. It only seems to have made you even more cranky than you were before.
Seeing the panicked face on her uncle's face, Hope stands up. She has a smidge of an idea about what's happening, but wanted to see how long it take her original vampire uncles or aunt to break because of a baby. Taking pity on them, and you, hearing how your cries and breathing have gotten more erratic, if she doesn't step in now, you might catch a cold, she stands up from the couch.
Hope walks over to her uncle and convinces him to pass you over to her. Sighing, he does, worries about you and doesn't want to put any stress on the teenager. Especially after what had happened when Hayley had almost died from Greta and how her son has used his niece.
When she cradles you in her arms, you immediately calm down, knowing it's your big sister. You nuzzle your face into her neck, her soft hair brushing against your cheek.
She walks back over to the couch and sits down. Her arms are wrapped tightly around you, making sure that there's no way you can get hurt. As she leans back into the comfy position she was in earlier, she feels eyes on her.
Looking around the room, her uncles and aunt are staring at her, mouths slightly agape, and eyes widened ever so much. "What?" She asks, knowing full well why they're staring.
"Did you use a spell to calm y/n down?" Elijah asks calm and collectively, unlike how Kol would be responded of he had the chance first. "No, but I've noticed how she's been only wanted to be held by mom, dad, or me. So I wanted to see what would happen if none of us were and how long it would last before I had to hold her" she explains as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Definitely no clear favoritism there" Kol scruches his eyes in mock anger and slight offense at you snuggled up with your big sister. Freya chuckles at her little brother's 'hurt feelings' about their five month old baby niece choosing wanting to be with her sister.
Hope just smirks at him, "I don't know what your talking about" she kisses the top of your head gently.
-
"What's going on in here?" Hayley's brow quirks up, she just got out of the shower. Telling by her still damp hair.
"Well your baby clearly has favorites" Kol says, flopping back into the couch with his arms crossed and a pout on his face. "I'm starting to wonder who the actual child here is, you or her" Hayley smirks and sits down next to her two daughters.
"Wow, first the baby, then the teen, and now the mother" Kol groans about how he can get insulted by all three of them in under thirty minutes. And you can't even talk yet!
Everyone chuckles at the teen original vampire, including you, copying what you hear your big sister doing and now your mama.
elijah mikaelson x vampire!reader (no y/n)
author's notes; combining these requests :) hope that's ok!!
warnings; vague references to past violence but nothing insane. exes to friends to lovers, just plotless fluff, with an extra side of fluff. yes elijah is extremely charming, yes he can't make eye contact with a pretty girl. duality of man.
It’s an unspoken thing, what lingers between them still. Unspoken in the sense that they don’t talk about it, but everyone else does.
It always shocks people to learn that the oldest vampires on Earth are ridiculous, catty gossips. Elijah doesn’t know why it’s such a surprise. Living as long as they all have, you’ve got to keep things interesting, otherwise immortality becomes mind-numbing. He supposes that it just doesn’t measure up to their reputation for being ruthless animals, which isn’t unfounded. It’s just not the only thing they could be classified as.
Ruthless monsters that defend each other to the death at the end of the day, no matter how many times they’ve stabbed each other in the backs, certainly. Childish gossips that like to start rumors and rewrite history when they get a little bored, definitely. The two identifiers can coexist, and very much do.
And this thing, this unspoken thing that is unspoken for a multitude of reasons but none more so than the simple fact that even as long as they’ve known each other it’s still fragile, and something could break it with ease, is only unspoken to Elijah.
His brothers and sisters, however, like to do nothing but talk about it.
“Well, she’s almost here,” Rebekah rolls her eyes, but it’s just for the fact that her older brother is going to be a lovesick idiot the entire time the girl is here, and it really takes away from Rebekah’s own quality time with her. “No wonder Elijah’s been bumbling around like a fool all day.”
Klaus chuckles, and the two of them dutifully ignore the glare their brother sends them. “Do you think she sent him a letter to announce her arrival? Elijah always loves things like that,”
Rebekah’s blue eyes light up. “Oh, yes! I wonder if she sprayed it with her perfume– us ladies used to do that with a suitor back in the day,” She fans a hand towards her face, closing her eyes at the small breeze it creates. “They don’t text or call, of course, it takes all of the personality out of it. And god knows Elijah’s all personality,”
Klaus laughs again, and the two finally glance across the room to where Elijah’s leaning against a wall, glaring at them with his arms crossed over his chest.
“I hate you both,” He says, earning another round of laughter from them. “And stop going through my things, Rebekah. Those letters are none of your business.”
The blonde girl pushes her lips out in a pout. “But I get so bored, Elijah. You can’t be mad at me for entertaining myself,”
“I fear he just hates fun, dear sister,” Klaus says, feigning a wistful tone. “He doesn’t approve of my methods of entertainment either.”
“That’s because your methods of entertainment always end in a bloodbath,” Elijah says accusingly, earning a shrug from the hybrid. “You’re both immature. A thousand years old, still acting like children.”
Their faces twist in offense in unison, and Elijah distantly thinks that even though they’re not even fully related, let alone the same age even in their vampiric years, they were twins put on this Earth to terrorize him and ensure that he never knew peace.
Before they can begin their outcries of dramatized offense, and Elijah can continue to lightheartedly mock them, a voice comes from the hall, echoing fondly.
“Must you two always tease your brother?” The smile is obvious in her voice as she walks into the room, and the three of them snap their gazes towards the woman in surprise. “He’s a delicate soul, you know. His poor heart can’t handle too many jokes,”
Elijah recovers quickly, rolling his eyes, though he can’t (and won’t) stop the smile from growing on his face as she meets Rebekah for a hug. “Oh, wonderful. That’s just what they need. Encouragement.”
She chuckles at his poorly-feigned exasperation, and the sound settles in his ears like a morning dove’s song. She releases Rebekah from the hug and leans down to where Klaus is stretched out in a chair with his feet kicked up on the table, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Glancing around at the vaulted ceilings of the compound, she sighs wistfully. “I can’t believe this place looks the same as when you bought it,” She shakes her head in slight disbelief.
Klaus shrugs, crossing his arms over his chest. “When we first returned, there was some… cleaning up to do, but it’s maintained its shape wonderfully.”
If she catches onto his double entendre, she doesn’t say anything, just nods in understanding. That’s something Elijah has always liked about her– she lets things go unsaid. She’s always had the ability to connect with him and his siblings in a way that most others can’t, and even when Elijah is at his worst, she’s been that olive branch that he can grab onto to bring him back to himself. Always so understanding and level. It’s a wonder that she still associates with any of them, given their penchant for chaos.
Finally, she turns her attention onto him, and in its entirety he feels breathless. Even after decades of knowing one another, it’s never gotten easier to hide his ardor for her. He knows she can still read him as easily as she could thirty years ago, too.
“Elijah,” She says his name better than he’s ever heard it, with a tilt to her head and a fondness in her voice that makes him feel more alive than anything else he’s found in his centuries on this planet.
She crosses the room to where he’s at, because he froze in his spot as soon as he heard her voice, and wraps her arms around him like she’s never been more relieved to see him.
It’s another thing he’s always liked about her. She’s never stopped loving him. He knows that. Lives with it everyday.
Regrets a lot of things, too.
He says her name back as gently as he can, like she’ll break in his arms. He wonders if she thinks of all the times she has broken in his arms, and then he tells himself there’s no way she’s forgotten it, because he hasn’t. And that is something that is theirs and theirs alone.
She pulls away and he misses her touch the moment she goes because it feels rarer and rarer with each day that passes. Every time she leaves, he fears it’s the last time he’ll see her.
He doesn’t want to ruin her visit with these thoughts. Even though he knows she’d offer him endless comfort, he doesn’t want her to worry about him for a second.
She turns to face them, clapping her hands together with a smile. “Well, then. What’s first on the agenda?”
──────
Something that comes with living as long as Elijah has is learning that some things about yourself you’ll just never be able to change. Such things like being a vampire in itself, having a firm hand when it comes to doing business with people. He’s been told he’s somewhat of a snake, and he’s well aware of his silver tongued ways, and it’s something he knows he can’t change, and hasn’t ever wanted to.
One thing that has yet to fall under that category of acceptance is his jealousy.
In his defense, he’s never jealous when he thinks he should be. He’s never been jealous of his siblings, spare for a few embarrassing months spent around the doppelgängers, but Elijah has never had to envy someone for something they had because if he wanted it that bad, he could just take it.
But this. This he knows is jealousy, pure and unbridled, and nauseating, if he’s feeling that correctly.
This is the jealousy that he’s seen destroy entire regimes. This is the jealousy that has driven his family to madness at times.
And of course, she’s at the center of it all. Of course she is. There would be no other way he could feel this so strongly if she was not involved in it somehow.
She’s the source of a lot of jealousy, he knows. He’s jealous of the carefree relationships his siblings get to have with her because they don’t have to be burdened with the feelings of the past that are most definitely still there. They don’t have to worry if they looked at her lips for too long, or if they held her a little too gentle to be considered entirely friendly. They don’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing, stepping past that line they so carefully drew in the sand for everyone’s sake.
These are the consequences of his actions, he knows. It doesn’t make it any easier to deal with, though. It might make it worse.
Watching his siblings drink freely as the band played on was nothing unfamiliar. Patrons had long since joined in on the fun, and he’s sure there’s a crowd outside looking in on the celebration of unknown origins.
At the center of it all, she is there, standing on a table with a crowd of adoring admirers surrounding her as she swayed and moved to the music. He would swear there’s a light shining on her, just for her, projecting her shadow above everyone like some sort of angel. He thinks she has every right to be worshiped.
And the reason he’s so maddeningly, bitingly jealous is because he is the reason that he’s not the one dancing with her. He can’t be the one to dance with her, and he can’t be the one that makes her laugh like she is because he’s the one that said they shouldn’t be together. He is the one who broke her heart, and he doesn’t deserve an ounce of the kindness she still shows.
So all he can do is sip his drink at the bar and watch as she pulls his sister, sweet, dangerous, devastatingly insecure Rebekah, up onto the table with her and shares her spotlight with her. Making his sister light up like she does with no one else. Earning another round of cheers from Klaus and Kol as they watch on, demanding another round of drinks for everyone in an odd show of generosity.
She brings out the best in his siblings. In him.
It makes him burn bright inside. Boiling, hot to the touch. He knows then and there that there’s a reason he’s seen something as trivial as jealousy take down the most powerful of men. Love is such a dangerous thing to get involved in in the first place, but finding someone, finding the woman who makes you feel like you could conquer the world is something else entirely. It bypasses dangerous and heads straight into fatal.
Because she makes you feel like you could conquer the whole world, but the second you lose her, it all means nothing. You’ll tear it all down if it means she won’t be there, too.
And the worst part of it all is the only reason he feels like this is because he is the one that ruined it. Blamed his family, blamed his parents, blamed everything else but his own fears for the reason they couldn’t be together. The distance, the timing. Whatever he could grasp, he pulled it out of his pocket and gave it to her on a silver platter, served with a distant coldness he’d long since perfect, and never wanted to use on her in the first place.
He had so much time under his belt, but he was such a child. So helpless it bordered on criminal, all because he fell in love and he didn’t know what to do with it.
It’s embarrassing more than anything else.
He hasn’t taken his eyes off of her since she started dancing. Hadn’t stopped listening since he heard her first laugh. Didn’t want to miss a single second, just in case.
For the first time all night, he blinked and turned his head away from her and threw the rest of his drink back like it was water.
He could allow himself a bit more wallowing. Just a bit.
──────
“Well, Rebekah’s safe in bed. I even got her in pajamas, believe it or not,” Her voice carries even in its whisper, and he looks up from his lap as she enters the small living space, hands clasped in front of her as she takes a seat in the chair beside him. “Original vampire or not, I doubt she’ll feel very good in the morning.”
Elijah hummed, thinking of his dear sister and how even if she’d healed a thousand times over, she’d still find a way to complain. He adored it.
“What about you?”
He raises a brow, lips twisting confusedly. “What about me?”
She gestures towards his slightly slumped form on the couch pointedly. He follows her direction, looking at his rumpled suit, and the white button up he’d undone the top four buttons off, at least. He feels momentarily embarrassed at his state of disarray but he simply huffs out a laugh, lifting his gaze to meet hers again.
“I’m a mess,” He shrugs, earning a quiet laugh out of her. “But I don’t think that has anything to do with our drinking tonight.”
“I can’t disagree, unfortunately,”
He hides the way his grin threatens to split his face behind his face, rubbing along his scruffy jawline as he looks at her. The longer he lingers, the more she avoids his gaze.
“What?”
He shakes his head.
“Elijah,” She intones, such a familiar adoration in her voice that it nearly makes him sick. He doesn’t deserve it. “You’ve been so quiet tonight. What’s on your mind?”
“You,”
Her eyes widen in shock at his quick, candid answer, and he has to hide his own surprise at how quick the word had shot out of his mouth.
“Me? What about me?”
“Everything,” He sighs, shifting his long legs so he could turn towards her and give her his full attention. “I’ve missed you.”
“Oh,” She breathes out, looking slightly bashful. “Well, I always miss you. I wouldn’t ever leave if I didn’t–”
She stops herself, covering her mouth with her hand as a sheepish look crosses her face. He knows she wants him to move past her slip up, but he doesn’t. Can’t.
“If you didn’t, what?” He leans forward, looking at her imploringly. “Why do you stay away so long?”
She takes a moment to collect herself, picking at the skin around her nails half-heartedly, like it’s not really bothering her, she just doesn’t want to be so open right now. He’d feel worse about pushing her if he didn’t feel like his heart was leaping out of his throat.
“Well, I didn’t think you wanted me around that much,” She says quietly, gesturing towards him.
He rears back like she’s slapped him.
“How could you ever think such a thing?” He whispers her name, a distant veil of horror laced in his tone. Fear, really.
“You said,” She says, face furrowing in confusion. “All those years ago– you said that there was no reason for me to stay here with you in New Orleans. So, I– I left. And I travel all the time until I come back here for as long as you’ll let me.”
Elijah feels something gripping his chest and it feels remarkably like his heart is breaking.
His voice breaks on her name and he leans forward again, reaching into her space to grab her hands in his. Allowing himself this piece of her that he simply doesn’t deserve.
“I never,” He stops, breathing out harshly. “I never wanted you to leave. I just–”
He stops again, squeezes her hands, and then steels himself because this is the least he owes her.
“You deserved more than to be stuck here with my family,” He starts slowly. “I never– I never wanted you to leave. Every time you walk out of those doors, I want to chase you down and make you stay. You have to believe me when I say that I only ever wanted you to be happy, and you wouldn’t have found that stuck here in the mess we had made back then.”
There’s a poignant silence that settles as she processes his words, and he holds the ragged breath that builds in his chest when she begins to drag her thumbs along the backs of his hands, smoothing at the skin there. Ever so gentle.
“All I’ve ever wanted was to be here with you and your family,” She says, shaking her head like she’s scolding him, even though her tone is anything but. “Being here makes me happier than any place I’ve traveled to. And I’m– I’m truly grateful that you had my best interest in mind, Elijah, but you have to understand,”
She trails off and an incredulous laugh leaves her lips as she smiles at him. “I’ve loved you my entire life. And my heart used to break every day knowing that I’d only have a short time with you. When I turned, I was so– I was so happy because I suddenly had the rest of time to be with you. And you… you broke my heart, Elijah. You truly did,”
She presses her thumbs into his skin firmly, just a pressure point to punctuate her words. “But I have never stopped loving you. And every time I walked out of those doors and left you behind, my heart broke again. You wouldn’t have ever had to make me stay. That’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
Elijah’s breath stalls in his chest, and lets it out slowly, shakily. There’s a distant string of hope he lets himself pull on, just this once. Because she let him.
He meets her gaze and smiles softly, just for her. “Will you stay, then? I’m– I’m asking you, truly. Will you stay?”
She nods before he even finishes speaking and laughs quietly, the sound just for him. “Of course I will, Elijah. I’ll stay as long as you want me to,”
“Forever,”
“Forever, then. I’ll stay forever.”
One Question Answered
Elijah Mikaelson x Reader
You've been avoiding Elijah since he healed you so he tracks you down but not for the reason you assume
The one side effect of Elijah healing you was that you had no excuse to stay away from the Mikaelson compound. You didn't want to drag any of them into your fight, yeah logically it made little sense to not step back and let them handle it but this was your fight. You had brought this chaos down onto the hunting community because the one thing you'd yet to even tell Rebekah was the mastermind behind trying to form a squadron of people for hire out of hunters was your ex.
You were in Marcel’s gym, something he'd worked out with Bek. It was a little crazy considering you'd been attacked by humans to be working out surrounded by vampires with earbuds in but here you were. Music blasted as you landed punch after punch on one of the heavy bags. You had people tracking Evan. He'd be found and if you cut the head off the snake that should work.
You had to show patience but the longer he was out there poisoning people against decent hunters the better a chance someone got hurt and that person may not have an original vampire ready to feed them blood to speed up the process.
You'd avoided direct conversation with both Elijah and Klaus. Klaus was simple enough to avoid, offer of a decent bourbon warmed the hybrid out of conversation. Kol would let it go when you said you would ask for help if you couldn't handle it.
Rebekah was pissed you'd lied to her initially about why you needed your Nova put into storage for a while and even more pissed you wouldn't give names to who had attacked you. Elijah, well he was even worse. You weren't sure what had changed between the two of you but the last couple weeks had been tense to say the least.
When you couldn't manage to avoid him he would of course question if you were ready to tell him who'd hurt you. More than once he'd cursed your tattoo and it's warding for taking away his ability to compel you into telling him.
When you'd accused him of not respecting boundaries he'd rebutted that it wasn't crossing boundaries to make an attempt to keep you safe. That had been days ago. You'd steered clear of the compound choosing to see Rebekah somewhere else or not at all.
—--------------
The only reason you were at Marcel's gym was because it was the only place nearby you could walk into to work off stress with no questions being asked as to why you were there.
You weren't sure where your head was but when someone pulled your earbud out of your left ear you spun around mid punch. Elijah seemed slightly amused as he easily grabbed your fist before it could make contact with his jaw “Decent hit considering” you narrowed your eyes at him and it was only then you'd noticed the gym was empty.
“What are you doing here Elijah? Rebekah said you were out of town” he shrugged almost innocently “I assumed the best way to get your guard down was to make you think I wasn't in town. You've been avoiding me it seems” you moved your hand which was still in his “Can I have this back?” He smirked slightly “Are you going to try to run to not talk to me because we both know I can catch you”
You shrugged “Why would I run when I know for a fact it would be useless” he finally let go of your hand and gave your earbud back. You took it and turned to your bag that was sitting on the floor nearby. “Well I'm not running and you wanted to talk” you spoke over your shoulder as you squatted down to put your earbuds in their case. You stood up and faced him before starting to unwrap your hands. You suddenly felt out of place standing there in an oversized shirt and Nike leggings while he was of course dressed impeccably.
His eyes roamed across your body and you felt heat rise to your face, your heart pounding in your ears. He had a habit of making you forget when you were supposed to be putting room between the two of you “I'm not here to pursue the conversation of who attacked you. I trust that should you get in over your head you'll ask for assistance”
—-----------
Elijah relished the moments he managed to render you speechless. From the moment he'd met you the ability to seemingly always have a retort waiting was something he admired about you. Even when you were uncomfortable in a situation or nervous you hid it well.
Now, watching you standing in front of him fidgeting with the hem of your shirt, he had the urge to say anything he could to make your heart race again. The sound was music to his ears. “Then what are you here for Elijah?”
He smiled slightly “While I'm not here to discuss that matter I am here for a different one” your eyes narrowed at his words, distrust clear on your face but another emotion showed there also. You were trying to hide your attraction to him but he could see it. The way your eyes tracked him, how your heartbeat increased if he touched you even innocently. It intrigued him to no end. Many years had passed since a woman demanded his attention in this way.
“Considering you wouldn't answer my calls I thought I'd try my luck face to face. Would you accompany me to dinner?”
—--------------
Did Elijah just ask you out? No, there was no way. He must have meant dinner with his siblings or another ball he wanted a plus one for. “What do you mean?” You asked rather lamely, wishing you were wearing anything besides your workout clothes with your hair up in a lazy braid.
He gave you that smile that made your stomach flip. Damn he was gorgeous. “My darling little hunter, will you go on a date with me? Was that plain enough to make my intentions clear?”
Could a brain really short circuit? Had it not been that you knew for certain that the blood Elijah had given you had indeed cured you of any of your injuries you would've been certain the taser had caused brain damage. Who knew maybe it had? “Intentions clear” you finally spoke after a moment, feeling your head spin a bit.
“Is that a yes or a no?” He asked, causing a nervous laugh to slip out from you. What was your life at this point? You nodded slowly “That's a yes Elijah. I'd love to but can I ask one thing because of something Kol and Rebekah both said”
“Which is?” He asked a bit cautiously at the mention of his younger siblings. You knew you should probably let it go but this question had been weighing on you along with the Evan situation. “They said blood sharing was a thing, like vamps didn't do it lightly and that you normally would only open a vein to save one of them. So why heal me? Why willingly give me a part of you when my injuries weren't life threatening?”
He crossed the space between the two of you, raising a hand to cup your face much the same way he had when he'd healed you and it took everything in you to not turn into his touch. His dark eyes bore into you and yet again you found your heart racing “Because seeing you injured and in pain infuriated me. Someone hurt you and had you not already lived a life filled with resiliency those injuries may very well have been life threatening. If spilling some of my blood spares you pain I'll gladly do it however many times it's necessary”
You swallowed hard before saying “Still doesn't answer why. I'm nothing special. I could be replaced a thousand times over” he shook his head, his fingers lightly lifting your chin where you had no choice but to look him square in the eye. His eyes flicked down to your lips as he spoke “I have met many people who may have been expandable, you however are not. That's why I healed you, there was no other option”
Was it lust, attraction or pure stupidity that made you close the space between you and him? The moment your lips brushed against his you could feel the tension that had long since hung in the air between the two of you threaten to burst.
One of his hands went to the back of your head holding you in place while his other went to your hip, fingertips almost bruising with how close he pulled you to him. Your hands went to his shoulders, trying to find something to ground yourself as heat washed straight through you. A light moan fell from your lips into his as he angled his head to deepen the kiss, tongue dancing across yours.
Your fingers found the back of his head, desperately tugging at the carefully styled locks. He groaned into your mouth and you felt a fresh wave of desire hit you. His hands went down to your thighs easily lifting you into his arms. You gladly wrapped your legs around his waist, never breaking free from his lips even if your lungs were beginning to burn with the need for air.
He moved across the room, bracing your back against one of the mats that lined the wall as he broke free from your lips. Your chest was heaving as he continued his assault down your jaw to your neck. You felt your heart jump when he gently nipped at the sensitive flesh of your neck, causing your back to arch off the wall pushing you into him which caused his body to react,he shifted his hips against yours. The feeling alone was enough to pull a deep moan from you. Your hands went under his jacket, fingers digging into his shoulders through the soft material of his shirt.
The sound of two throats clearing causing you and Elijah to break away from each other. You glanced over his shoulder to see Rebekah and Marcel standing in the entryway of the gym. “I had no clue you two were talking again” Rebekah greeted cheerfully as if she hadn't just walked in on you and one of her brothers.
You groaned lightly as Elijah buried his face in the skin at the bend of your neck. Seeing him so damn disheveled and knowing you were the cause was enough to make any woman have a strange surge of pride. You grinned at Rebekah over his shoulder before he leaned up to place a chaste kiss to your lips before lowering you to the ground.
Both of you quickly rearranged whatever clothing was out of place before turning to face the newcomers. Rebekah was barely containing her laughter. “I'll see you at nine?” You asked and he smirked slightly “I'll see you at nine”
You watched him walk out and looked at Rebekah “Not a word” Marcel chuckled as he walked further into the gym “Never thought I'd see Elijah so worked up over a human and he picks a hunter”
Rebekah shook her head at Marcel then looked back at you “So I'm assuming that display means you're now dating my brother?” You shrugged, still a little dazed “I have a date with him” she smiled brightly “Brilliant. Let's go shopping for you a new outfit then”
The Hope Of The Mikaelsons Family Part Five
Summary: Hayley and Klaus are shocked to discover that Y/n Forbes is their daughter. Before they can even have a conversation , Klaus receive a call from Caroline informing him that Y/n has disappeared. Panicked, they rush to the hospital, but their worst fears are confirmed when Klaus receives a call from his two enemies claiming to have their daughter. The urgency and drama of the situation heighten as they must now save Y/n before it's too late.
Warnings: kidnapping, Violences, Emotional distress, Supernatural elements, Family dynamics, Mention of medical equipment, Suspense and tension
Caroline grinned as she made her way to your room, but she stopped when she realized you weren't in bed, which made her spill cup glass of water.
“Y/n??” Your sister called out as she knocked on the bathroom’s door but she didn’t hear a response back
“Y/n where are you?” She asked herself as she walked out of the room to find Dr. Shepherd and when she does. she glares at him “you said that this place was known for being the best hospital in town.”
He nods in confusion as he glances at her. “That's correct. Is there a problem?”
“Why don’t you not tell me? There is no sign of my sister. I searched all over and couldn't find her. Even though your hospital may be the best, your security is terrible.”
Dr. Shepherd gave her a startled look. “I truly apologize, Miss. I'll inform everyone in the hospital and contact the police right away. Don't worry, dear; we'll find your sister.”
She watched as he leaves in the rush to let everyone know about what happened and she pulled out her phone to call her friends so they could know about the situation
“To whom are you referring, Hayley?”
"Our daughter is Little Forbes." Everyone glances at Klaus in disbelief at his statement.
“What? Our niece is Caroline’s little sister?” Elijah asked in disbelief.
“Davina? Are you sure you checked right? I just don’t want us to get our hopes up.” Kol state.
"Of course I'm sure Kol, I have checked multiple times and it's obvious that Y/n is the daughter of your brother and Hayley," says Davina, grinning.
"She’s a true Mikaelson, and she is one," Klaus grinned. "Not to be disrespectful to the Forbes family, but she didn’t look like a Forbes.”
Rebekah rolls her eyes at one of her brothers “We know Nick but anyways Davina what is she? Is she a vampire or what?!”
She got up off the ground and grinned. "She's a tribrid, so you guys should be proud."
As Hayley turned to face Klaus, she burst into joyous tears. "Did you hear that? We have a tribrid daughter.”
Klaus nodded, a mixture of pride and disbelief in his eyes. "Our daughter truly is special and We have another strong Mikaelson in the family,"
Kol raised an eyebrow, impressed by the revelation. "A tribrid? That's certainly rare. I can't wait to see what kind of powers she possesses."
Davina nodded, her expression full of certainty. "I have no doubt that Y/n will be a force to be reckoned with. She's going to be the Mikaelson that she is."
“She may have been raised by Caroline, but make no mistake, Y/n is a Mikaelson. Her bloodline runs through her veins, and the power she possesses is undeniable." Klaus says
Rebekah let out a sigh “Yes, Brother, we all see that. But let's not forget the role that Caroline and Her mother have played in her life. Coraline mostly has raised Y/n as her own, and that cannot be discounted."
Elijah nods as he agrees with his sister “Precisely. Y/n is both a Mikaelson and a product of Caroline's upbringing. It is a unique blend that will undoubtedly shape her into a remarkable individual."
Klaus looks at his siblings as he gives them a smile. “You are right, of course. I am grateful to Caroline for the care she has given to Y/n. But now, it is time for our family to step up and guide Y/n as she navigates the complexities of her heritage and her power."
As they all processed the news, the Mikaelsons couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation and wonder for the future, knowing that their family had just become even more extraordinary with the addition of their tribrid
Klaus and his siblings were deep in conversation when the ringing of Klaus' phone pierced the air. Frowning, he excused himself and answered
Klaus smiled but it soon turned into a frowned. “Caroline? What's wrong?"
The sound of Caroline's crying echoed through the phone, causing Klaus and siblings to exchange concerned glances
Caroline's cheeks were wet with tears.“Klaus... It's Y/n. She's gone missing from the hospital. I can't find her anywhere!"
Klaus' blood ran cold as he heard Caroline's sobs through the phone. His worst fears had come to life again you, his precious daughter, was missing again. His siblings watched him with growing concern, their conversation forgotten.
“Caroline, take a deep breath. We're going to find her, I promise." He tried to keep his voice steady, but his worry was palpable."Walk me through what happened. Every detail counts."
Caroline's words came out one after the other, driving a bigger stake of terror into Klaus's heart. “The doctor advised me to get some fresh air while Y/n was asleep. I first refused, but he reassured me that she would be okay being alone and that she had doctors and nurses on call in case she needed anything. I went to get a brief cup of water, and when I returned, she had disappeared. We are unable to locate her since the security footage was obscured by a blanket.”
Klaus closed his eyes, desperately trying to think. You were out there somewhere, alone and potentially in danger. "We need to act fast.”
The moment Klaus hung up, his siblings sprang into action, their expressions a mix of worry and determination
“Niklaus, what's going on?” With a worried tone, Rebekah asked.
Elijah also inquired in a worried manner. "Is it Y/n? Is she alright?"
Klaus took a deep breath, trying to keep his voice steady. “That was Caroline. Y/n is missing. She vanished from the hospital, and we don't know where she is."
The news hit the siblings hard. Rebekah put a hand on Klaus' shoulder, her eyes filled with concern. "We'll find her, brother. I promise. What do we know so far?"
Klaus quickly relayed the details Caroline had shared, his mind racing as he tried to think of where you might have gone
"We need to divide and conquer.” Elijah tells them
Hayley's world came crashing down as Klaus relayed the news of your disappearance. She staggered backwards, her face covered with tears. "No... No, no, no. Not my baby girl. Not again." Her voice was barely a whisper, choked with tears.
Klaus rushed to her side, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Hayley, we will find her. I swear it. We won't rest until she's safe in our arms again."
Hayley clung to Klaus, her body trembling with fear and grief. "We've already lost so much time with her... I can't lose her now. Not when we've just found her again."
Klaus gently stroked her hair, his own eyes filled with tears.”We won't. We'll bring her home, Hayley. Together."
Klaus and his family were racing towards the hospital when his phone rang again. Klaus, thinking it might be an update on you whereabouts, answered without checking the caller ID.
Both Lucien and Tristan smirked "Hello, Klaus." a chill ran down his spine as he recognized the voices on the other end
Klaus' blood boiled as he realized who had taken you . "You guys?”
Lucien smirked again "Yes, it was us. We've been watching your family for some time now, and when the opportunity presented itself..."
Tristan began laughing. “We couldn't resist. We have your daughter, Klaus. And if you want to see her alive again, you'll do exactly as we say."
Klaus clenched his fist, struggling to maintain his composure.”You'll pay for this, both of you. Where is she?"
"All in due time, Klaus.” Lucien hangs up with a laugh.
Hayley and his siblings were shocked to hear Lucien and Tristan's voices on the phone, given their supposed deaths.
Rebekah's eyes widened, her jaw dropping in disbelief "Lucien and Tristan?! But they're supposed to be dead!"
Elijah's face hardened, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of the situation "Clearly, we were mistaken. They must have found a way to survive."
Kol, always the one to jump to action, stepped forward. "It doesn't matter how they did it. What matters is that they have our niece. We need to get her back, now."
Hayley, overcome with emotion, looked to Klaus. “Please, Klaus. We can't let them hurt her.”
Klaus' voice was cold as he addressed his siblings."We need a plan. Lucien and Tristan won't give her up easily. Rebekah, reach out to Marcel. We'll need his help if we're going to track them down."
Rebekah nodded, already pulling out her phone. “I'll call him now."
Elijah's brow furrowed as he thought. "We'll also need to secure the city. If Lucien and Tristan have returned, they'll likely have allies. Kol, Hayley, can you handle that?"
Kol grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Consider it done, brother. We'll make sure they don't have any friends left to call on."
Hayley angrily spoke up. “Count me in, they will regret messing with the Mikaelson mostly to the Princess of this City and I’ll show them why you don’t make a mama Bear angry.”
Elijah nodded, satisfied with their determination. "Good. We'll need to act quickly and decisively. We cannot afford any more surprises from our enemies."
He turned to Freya, who had been silent so far. "Freya, I need you to gather any information you can about Lucien and Tristan's whereabouts and their plans. We need to know everything we can before we make our move."
Freya nodded, her expression serious. "Consider it done, brother. I'll hit the streets and see what I can find out. They won't be able to hide from me for long."
Elijah looked around at his siblings, his determined gaze meeting each of their eyes. "We are the Mikaelsons, and together, we are unstoppable. Let's make sure Lucien and Tristan regret ever crossing us." With a shared nod of agreement, the siblings set off to prepare for the coming battle, united in their determination to protect their family and their city.
As the night fell over New Orleans, the city seemed to pulse with an undercurrent of tension and anticipation. The Mikaelsons had made their plans and were ready to face their enemies head-on. Elijah stood at the forefront, his posture exuding confidence and determination as he addressed his siblings.
"The time has come. Lucien and Tristan will soon regret the day they crossed us. Let us show them the full might of the Mikaelson family." His voice was steady and commanding, filled with a quiet strength that inspired his siblings to stand tall and ready for battle.
Klaus, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity, gripped his dagger tightly in his hand. "Let them come. I have been awaiting this moment for far too long. They will know the true power of the hybrid when I'm through with them."
Freya stood poised and ready, her gaze sharp and focused. "I have gathered all the information we need. Lucien and Tristan won't know what hit them. They will pay dearly for kidnapping our niece."
Kol crackled with energy, his eyes dancing with anticipation. "Let's make this a night they won't forget. I'll show them what happens when you mess with a Mikaelson."
And Hayley, her resolve unyielding, stood ready to defend her family and her city. "They want a fight? They've got one. Let's make them regret ever underestimating us."
With a shared nod of agreement, the Mikaelson siblings braced themselves for the battle that lay ahead. The night was dark, but their determination burned bright. For this night, they were a united front, bound by blood and loyalty, ready to face whatever came their way. The streets of New Orleans would soon bear witness to a clash of supernatural forces, and the Mikaelsons were prepared to emerge victorious, no matter the cost.
The moon cast an eerie glow over the city, illuminating the Mikaelsons as they moved with purpose through the darkened streets. In the distance, the sound of footsteps echoed, signaling the arrival of their enemies. Lucien and Tristan, cloaked in darkness and filled with arrogance, emerged from the shadows, ready to face off against their former allies.
Elijah's steady leadership held the family together, his focus unwavering as he led the charge. "My niece is one of our own. We will not rest until she is safe and sound. Lucien and Tristan, your actions will have grave consequences."
As the two groups stood facing each other, tensions crackled in the air like electricity. Klaus stepped forward, his gaze unwavering as he locked eyes with Lucien. "You thought you could try to threaten us by kidnapping my daughter, and get away with it? You severely underestimated the Mikaelsons."
Rebekah's voice rang out with icy determination. "Your treachery won't go unpunished. We will make sure you pay for what you've done."
Kol's usual jovial demeanor had evaporated, replaced by a deadly seriousness as he fought with reckless abandon. "You shouldn't have messed with us, especially when it comes to family. You've set a fire you won't be able to put out."
Hayley's heart pounded with fear and determination as she fought, her mind consumed with thoughts of rescuing you. "We will find my daughter, and we will make sure you never harm her again. The wolves will not rest until my daughter is safe."
And with those words, the battle began. Powers clashed, alliances were tested, and the fate of New Orleans hung in the balance. The Mikaelsons fought with a fierce determination, their unity and strength proving to be a force to be reckoned with. As the dust settled and the moon hung high in the sky, it was clear. The Mikaelsons had emerged victorious, their enemies vanquished, and their family standing stronger than ever before. For in the face of adversity, they remained unbreakable, bound by blood and loyalty, a force not to be trifled with in the streets of New Orleans.
Klaus grinned broadly and said, "Congrats, siblings. I'm proud of you today.”
Rebekah rolled her eyes. "Don't act like you did all the work, Niklaus. It was a team effort."
Kol laughed, clapping Elijah on the back.” That's right. And don't forget, big brother, it was Elijah's strategic planning that saved the day and Y/n.”
Hayley beamed, her arm wrapped protectively around you. "But the real hero here is Y/n. She was so brave."
After the intense battle with Lucien and Tristan, the Mikaelsons called for a nurse to come and check on You, who had been rescued from their clutches. As the nurse finished her examination, she ensured that you were stable and informed the Mikaelsons that you should wake up anytime soon. You were hooked up to machines, monitored closely by the medical equipment, your safety and well-being a top priority for the Mikaelson family.
Klaus, with a heavy heart and a determined resolve, dialed Caroline's number, knowing that she needed to be informed about the situation. When Caroline arrived at the Mikaelson compound, she was greeted by Klaus, Hayley, and the rest of the family, the air thick with unspoken words.
“Caroline, thank you for coming," Klaus began, his voice grave yet sincere. "There's something we need to tell you, something that concerns Y/n and it’s better if you take a seat.”
Her eyes widened in concern."What's going on? Is Y/n okay?”
Klaus, Hayley, and the rest of the family gathered in Mikaelson's living room. The tension was thick, but she remained calm.
She took a seat on the couch."So what do you guys need to tell me?”
Klaus looked at his siblings and Hayley nervously then at Caroline. "Like I was saying We've learned some... information that concerns Y/n. We need to talk."
Caroline questioned with a worried stare."Okay. What is it?"
Hayley stepped forward, her voice soft. “Caroline, we've discovered that Y/n is our daughter.”
Not the end, but a new beginning - II
Chapter Two.
As the Mikaelson’s find what they needed, some new light is brought to the house but not without opening old secret wounds.
As they rushed down the compound stairs to find Marcel and another couple of vampires chatting around a big wooden box. The tallest one had a foot resting on top of the box and opened his arms welcoming them - 'Klaus Mikaelson! Who'd ever imagine you would need this humble peasant! '- ventured the blonde vampire, grinning and making an exaggerated reverence .
- 'Eric Northman, it has been a while.' - Niklaus welcomed the outlander, approaching the group. - 'What do we have here? Is it the so-called precious creature we've been looking for? Are we certain about it?'
- 'That's her.' - Eric gave a light kick on the side of the box -' had to numb her though, so good luck. You'll hear from me soon, once I figure out what I want.' - he teased, blinking to Rebekah before disappearing.
- ‘Is she inside this box??' - Freya shouted, pushing the siblings to sides, kneeling on the floor and unchain the box. -' How do you expect people to help and be nice to us when you treat them like this?' - she hissed, looking at Klaus over her shoulder. - 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry' - she apologized, opening the box, and untying the semi conscious woman inside.
Minna opened her eyes with difficulty, the strong daylight temporarily blinding her. How long was she there? She felt soft hands untying her, apologizing, background voices whispering, making her confused.
- 'Hello love' - Klaus approached the box, lightly pushing Freya to the side and grabbing Minna out of the box. His firm but gentle hands held her waist and the back of her thighs, putting her feet on the floor. He gave a step behind to look at her better - 'Welcome to our home!' - He grinned, raising his eyebrows at the sight of her.
Minna held her wrists to soften the rope marks, then pushed the hair away from her slightly sweaty face. She had delicate features, big dark eyes paired with long black eyelashes, long - now- messy chestnut hair.
She ran her eyes around to all those unknown faces staring at her, stopping at the fine blonde man in front of her, his voice echoing as he softly placed his lips on the back of her hand.
- 'I'm Klaus Mikaelson, and this is my family..'
-'Was this really necessary?' - Minna blurted out loud, taking her free hand to the back of her neck trying to ease the discomfort - 'Really? Trap me in a box and drag me to..Where am I? What is this?'
Kol held a laugh as Rebekah pushed her elbow on his ribs. Freya got closer to her, trying to calm her down and explain herself. - 'We're the Mikaelson's, and we are very sorry..we didn't know how to contact you..so we asked for help, but they..'
- 'You are in New Orleans love, and it's such a pleasure to meet you' - Klaus insisted, interrupting his sister, placing Minna's hand on his arm as he guided her inside their house - 'Indeed the means that brought you to us were inappropriate, but please be minded we mean well. We do have business to discuss with you, but for now my daughter will take you to your room so you can rest and by the evening, during dinner, we will tell you anything you want to know.' - Klaus sounded charming and compelling, as usual, but for - a confused, locked in a box for days - Minna, he sounded reasonable and polite - 'Hope darling, could you please accompany Miss.. I'm sorry I didn't get your name . Miss Murray? Fyodorova? Ionescu perhaps?'
-‘Murray, but Minna is just fine' - Minna murmured as her eyes scanned the surroundings - 'Can I get something to drink, you know, I've been locked..starved' - She raised her eyebrows and shoulders, as if she was implying something obvious.
Klaus pressed his lips in a satisfied smile, he was pleasantly surprised by that creature walking by his side. She was not impressed neither fearful of him and his family, even with the circumstances she was brought to them. Besides, she was stunningly beautiful, her casual jeans and black tank top added a fresh touch to her delicate face. - 'By all means, please' - Klaus snapped his fingers to a compelled housekeeper that approached them, offering her wrist to Minna, who vividly grabbed it, burying her fangs as she devoured her blood viciously.
As the whole scenario developed at the Mikaelson's entrance room, one thing had been completely unnoticed. Elijah had stayed behind, frozen, as if he had seen a ghost. From the moment Klaus got the lady out of the wooden box his heart has skipped a beat then started racing so fast his palms were sweaty. Elijah opened his lips to speak but the lack of words closed them again, so he a took a deep breath, adjusted his tie and made his way inside the mansion.
Out Of This World
Chapter 2
Masterlist
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x fem!Reader x Dean Winchester
Summary: You and the Mikaelsons are fighting a powerful witch that’s trying to take over New Orleans. The only solution: banishment to another universe. However, the spell goes… wrong, and it’s not the witch that ends up in another universe, but you. - At the same time, over a thousand miles away in a bunker in Lebanon, Kansas, an alarm goes off: a rift has opened up. The Winchesters and their angel partners in crime decide to investigate. What will they find when they get to New Orleans?
Word count: 3213 words
Warnings: angst, panic attack, high anxiety
Previously: “No… no, no, no, no.” Your whisper grew more panicked with each syllable. The faint humming sound in your ears picked back up as your blood began to rush through your body again. Panic rose in your chest and tightened its grip until you felt like you couldn’t breathe, oxygen be damned. The spell had worked. They had successfully sent someone to an alternate universe, just like they had planned. It just wasn’t Athea who’d been transported from one universe to another. It was you.
Your heart was hammering in your chest as you stood in the entrance to the alley. You kept taking deep breaths, trying to hold the panic at bay - or more like, keep it in check, before you had a meltdown right there and then. It was hard to keep yourself from spiraling, but you knew it would be of no use. You had to figure out what to do.
Your hand reached into your pocket and found your phone and before you knew it, you had Elijah's number dialed. A small voice inside you whispered that it was pointless, but you didn't listen and instead held on to the part of you that was still hoping that you were wrong. That you were somehow just hallucinating. There was no denying the spell had gone wrong, but maybe everything could be explained somehow, if you could just get in touch with your people.
It didn't even ring once before a mechanical voice informed you that the number you had reached had been disconnected or was no longer in service. Your stomach dipped, but you quickly dialed Klaus instead. "The number you are calling doesn't exist." By now, you felt bile climbing up the back of your throat. Your hands were beginning to shake, but you forced them into fists, willing them to still so you could dial the next number. Hayley was next. Then Freya. With every announcement that the number either didn't exist or was disconnected, your panic grew a little more. You tried Jackson's number and almost threw your phone against the wall in frustration when the same message was repeated to you again, groaning and tears stinging in your eyes. "Come on!" you exclaimed and clicked on Rebekah's contact next. Everyone you'd tried so far had been part of the team on scene. Maybe, if you'd tried Rebekah, who'd stayed home with Hope... Someone had to pick up. Someone just had to. They won't. They can't, the small voice whispered in the back of your head, but you ignored it and pressed dial.
The fact that the call went through and it rang almost made you cry with relief. Finally, you thought and impatiently shifted your weight from one foot to the other and back. "Come on, pick up, pick up pick up pick up," you urged Rebekah on as it rang twice, three times, four times, but no one answered. Then you were connected to her mailbox.
"This is Dean Winchester. If this is an emergency, leave a message."
You stared at your display. You'd clearly dialed Rebekah's number. "Who the hell is Dean Winchester?," you muttered to yourself. You tried Rebekah again, but instead got the same mailbox message.
Clearly, this was going nowhere, but you refused to give up. You swiped back up your contacts and dialed Camille's number. It rang twice before the line got picked up.
"Hello?"
It was like someone was pouring warm honey over you and washing you clean of anxiety from head to toe at the sound of Camille's voice.
"Oh my god! Finally! I've been trying absolutely everyone and no one's picking up. I think something went wrong, everyone's gone, Athea too but I don't-" The words poured out of your mouth until Camille interrupted you. "I'm sorry, who's this?"
The temporary relief you had felt at Cami picking up the phone started crumbling away. "Wha- this is Y/N?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, but I think you've got the wrong number!" Camille's voice was cheery, if a bit empathetic. Your phone dropped from your ear as your arms sunk down in defeat. It was pointless. Of course Cami wasn't going to recognize you. How could she, if she'd never met you to begin with - not in this universe.
"Hello?" Her voice squeaked out of your phone's speaker. You took a big breath and then lifted the phone to your ear again. "You're right, I misdialed. My bad. Sorry to have bothered you." Your voice sounded small and defeated. The lump in your throat was so thick now that you'd barely gotten your last words out. Before Camille could reply, you quickly hung up and stuffed your phone back into your pants. I have no idea what to do, you thought. It was then that you finally allowed the tears to come.
"Go ahead Sammy, you're on speaker." Dean handed his phone over to Cas while keeping his eyes fixed on the road. The angel held it up between the two of them.
"So we've looked at what little data we have, and I can't say I've got much for you," Sam's voice croaked out of the speaker, just loud enough to be heard over the sound of Baby's engine and rain softly drumming on the car's windshield. "All I can tell you right now is that, so far, no other rifts have opened up." "Well, that's good," Cas stated in his typical matter-of-fact voice. "Sure, but I don't like how little information we have. Dean, we have no idea what you guys are walking into." Sam's worry wasn't unjustified. He had a point. But what was he supposed to do? Dean didn't see how he had a choice. Yeah, they didn't know what awaited them, but really, when had they ever truly known what to expect? As far as he was concerned, this was just going to be like any other hunt until proven otherwise. Until then, him and Cas would have it covered.
"Relax, Sammy, we've got it. We're not gonna march in there and get ourselves blown up. You know me, I'm a careful guy!" He grinned at Cas, who just raised a brow at him. Cas had gotten better at catching sarcasm, but it sometimes still eluded him. Sam scoffed on the phone. "Right, because that's what you're known for." Dean shook his head, both at Sam's response and the angel's failure to recognize his joke.
It was true, of course. If there was a word to describe Dean's life with, 'safe' definitely wasn't it. Their job came with undeniable risks, risks that both Dean and Sam were acutely aware of. It was precisely why Dean had ordered his brother and Jack to stay home. If anything went wrong, at least Sammy wouldn't be in the line of fire. As for Cas... well, Cas had powers. Powers that could come in useful. And he trusted Cas a hell of a lot more than the baby Nephilim back home in the bunker.
"You said we don't know much. What do we know, then?" Dean decided to change the subject. He didn't want his brother worrying about him. "Honestly, no more than when you left, really. I can't even tell you if the rift's still open." Dean grunted in response. They really had close to nothing. "I don't think the rift is still open." Jack's voice was quieter than Sam's. Dean couldn't tell if the younger angel was further away from Sam's phone or if he was afraid to speak up. Jack had been behaving extra cautiously around him for a while now, and Dean hadn't exactly given him any reason not to. As far as he was concerned, he tolerated the Nephilim, no more, no less than that. Sam had clearly already forgiven their mother's death. Dean didn't see that in the cards for him anytime soon. "What makes you say that?" Castiel inquired, saving Dean from having to respond. "The blinking stopped, didn't it? From what I understand, the table is set to sound an alarm for a specific amount of time once it has picked up a frequency. Wouldn't it still be going if the rift was still open?" By now, the rain had picked up and was coming down in buckets. Dean set Baby's windshield wipers on the highest setting. "Sam?" It took Sam a moment to respond. "I think Jack has a point. The original settings of the table allowed to track anything supernatural for as long as it was putting out a frequency. Once the radar picks up a frequency, the system should put out a warning for a minimum of ten minutes. Theoretically, if a rift stayed open any longer than... however long this one was open for, then the system should continue to alert for that amount of time in addition to the warning itself."
"Dude. English. I'm not Charlie." Dean couldn't see his brother, but assumed he was rolling his eyes at Dean's lack of technical know-how.
"When I updated the table, I didn't change the previous code. If the rift was still open, we should still be getting a signal, just like Jack said."
"Well, you could have just said that, nerd," Dean countered. He was certain that Sam was now definitely rolling his eyes.
"So we know the rift is closed. That makes it harder to find." Once again, Castiel hit the nail on the head with his matter-of-fact-ness.
"Yeah, well," Dean said, trying to make light of the situation, "we won't get to NOLA before early morning. We got time to figure it out until then."
Hope giggled in Rebekah's arms as she happily played with the fountain in the foyer, getting the both of them wet as her tiny hands repeatedly hit the surface of the water. Rebekah couldn't help but smile at her niece's joy. She leaned down to place a kiss on Hope's head when she heard hurried footsteps approaching the main entrance of the compound. Not a second later, her siblings stormed in, followed by the rest of the party that had gone out to deal with Athea.
Rebekah instinctually knew that something had gone wrong. Instead of boasting about their win like Nik' normally would have, he wore a grim, tight-lipped expression. However - and more disturbingly so - it was Elijah who had a murderous look on his face, when it was usually Niklaus who was known as the more temperamental one. Behind the two, Freya, Hayley and Jackson followed, all of them looking similarly upset. You, however, were very noticeably not part of their entourage.
"What happened?," Rebekah asked as she handed Hope over to Hayley, who had beelined straight towards the duo. Hayley accepted Hope into her arms and pressed a kiss to her child's forehead, but didn't offer an answer. Rebekah looked back at the compound entrance, expecting you to walk in any second as she waited for a reply. "Where's Y/N?" The silence that followed was stretched uncomfortably long.
"Freya? What happened?," Rebekah inquired again, this time with more urgency in her voice. Her sister sighed as she braced herself for a retelling of their recent failing when Elijah interrupted them.
"Yes, Freya, why don't you explain what happened."
The tone in Elijah's voice didn't go unnoticed, but Freya straightened her shoulders and recounted what had happened in the alley. It didn't take her long to catch Rebekah up. "Am I to understand that Athea is dead, but Y/N is trapped in another universe?" Rebekah couldn't believe it. Here she thought they'd finally found a way to trump Athea and that old crow had still outsmarted them. "But how is that even possible?"
"That, my dear sister, is something I'd like to know myself." Elijah had stopped pacing around and was now watching Freya intently. Freya, in return, took on a defensive stance.
"Are you implying something, brother? Do you honestly think I had something to do with Y/N's disappearance?"
The two siblings stared at each other for a moment before Elijah's gaze ultimately softened. "Of course not. You have proven your loyalty to this family. My first concern is to get Y/N back. I don't expect arguments over why this issue should take precedence." He paused briefly as if to give room for possible interjections, but none came. He briefly nodded at the unspoken collective agreement and continued. "However, I do believe it's necessary to investigate how Athea gained knowledge of our plan. We cannot afford a spy in our midst, even if the evil has been defeated."
"I'll put word out, see if our people can find out anything," Jackson volunteered. Klaus nodded appreciatively but held a hand out to the man. "Be careful. It shouldn't become known that we're chasing mole. We wouldn't want the rodent to scurry in fear and bury itself before we can find it." Jackson grunted in agreement and headed towards the grant entrance.
"I'll go back to Kol's playhouse, see if we missed anything. He had the banishment spell, perhaps he's hiding a retrieval spell somewhere as well." Freya shot Rebekah a look who instantly agreed. "I'll come with," she said and linked her arm through her sister's. "Four eyes see more than just two. Six eyes might see even more," she added with a look at Klaus. "I'll keep my eyes on our brother instead," the hybrid replied and patted Elijah on the shoulder. "Make sure he doesn't shred the place to pieces." He winked at his brother. Elijah scoffed. "Don't mistake me with yourself, Niklaus." Klaus grinned. "We'll hold the fort. Call us when you've got something." Freya and Rebekah nodded and left for the cemetery.
With the two Mikaelson sisters leaving, only Hayley and the two Mikaelson brothers were left at the compound. She hesitated briefly, then walked over to Elijah with Hope on her arm. She squeezed his shoulder briefly. "We'll find her, Elijah. Don't worry."
The doorbell jingled, announcing your presence to the room, but only a few eyes darted your way as you entered the bar. Your heart clenched at the familiarity of the place. This might not have been your universe, but this was every bit your Rousseaus' as you knew it. The same familiar smell, the same furniture, the same decorations. Hell, even the patrons looked the same.
"You look like you could use a drink."
How could a voice provide so much comfort and pierce your heart so harshly at the same time? It pained and gave you solace at once. There she was, polishing a glass with that warm, expectant smile she gave to any lost soul that stumbled into her bar. You'd seen her put it on about a million times and had always wondered how she always just knew. Camille wasn't a vampire, but she had a fine nose regardless that gave her the ability to sniff out the dispirited ones from a mile away. Admittedly, it sort of came with the territory. Half the people who sought out bars came to forget, not to mingle. You'd always been one to mingle. Tonight, however, you might just switch camps.
"Why don't you take a seat and I'll pour you one? First one's on the house."
Ah, there it was. The line that put a smile on the mingler's faces and got the wary ones to stay. Not that you'd needed any convincing to stay in the first place. You had nowhere else to go. Literally and figuratively.
You slid into a seat at the counter near the register. Your eyes briefly darted to the right, far-off corner of the counter, just quick enough to notice your usual spot close to the kitchen was empty. Your nails scratched at a dried spot of something unrecognizable in front of you. The chatter of the pre-evening crowd and the subtle music faded into the background as the buzzing in your ears picked back up. To have a place look and feel so much like home when it couldn't possibly be any further from your own reality...
A glass clunked down in front of you, pushed into your field of vision by a delicate hand.
"Here you go!"
You fixated on the glass for a couple of seconds before your silence stretched too long and into the territory of discourtesy. "Thank you." Your voice was small, barely above a whisper. Nevertheless, Camille had heard you, as her hand moved over to yours and squeezed it gently.
"You're welcome. If you need to talk, wave me down. I'm a good listener!" You didn't have to look up to know she'd winked at you warmly. You'd heard it in her voice, and you'd seen her do it too many times to not know. You'd always been in awe of her ability to have her warmth, combined with a drink, provide immediate, albeit small relief to people she didn't know. It would have worked on you too, had it not been for the fact that your best friend showed no sign of recognizing you. She was giving you the same lonesome duckling treatment that she gave all her customers. You'd always wondered what it would have felt like if you hadn't know Camille and had just randomly wondered in one night, looking to forget and to be provided with her solicitude. Now, that you were on the receiving side of it, it was just painful.
Two drinks later, you still hadn't said a single word. Cami had wordlessly replaced your first drink once you had emptied it and hovered around you from time to time, to see if you would open up. But you couldn't bring yourself to talk. Hell, so far, you hadn't even managed to look her in the eyes. You just couldn't. To look up and find absolutely no recognition in her eyes - you were sure it would wipe out the last of whatever was keeping you upright in your seat right now.
The doorbell jingled again, followed by a quick set of steps that approached the register. "Hey Cami, you got a quick burger for me?" You felt your insides tighten as the man who'd stopped next to you spoke. He was drumming on the countertop with his index-fingers, blissfully unaware of your reaction. "You got it, Vince. Just give me a couple minutes," Camille replied and turned away from the wall of liquor she'd just been busying herself with. She was about to pass you by when she slowed down in front of you. You could feel her eyes watching you, piercing the top of your head. You hadn't only not spoken, you also hadn't looked up once since you'd come in. "Hey, why don't you wait over by the kitchen? You can snack on a few fries, if you want," she added after a brief pause. You heard Vincent clap his hands together in excitement. "You ain't gotta tell me twice," he quipped before he strode off to the kitchen. A hand snuck into your field of vision again, softly tugging at one of your fingers. "Hey, make sure you don't break this one, yeah? Blood is such a bitch to clean up." Your brows furrowed in confusion before you realized that you were clutching your glass so tightly, your knuckles had turned white. You forced yourself to relax your fingers and in return received an approving pat on your hand. "There you go. Thanks!"
You couldn't help it but glance up then. Camille smiled and winked at you, before she sauntered off after Vincent. You watched this world's version of your best friend as she disappeared into the kitchen and couldn't help but wonder if anyone had ever felt more lonely than you in this very second.
A/N: Only took me forever to get here, but we've made it, chapter 2 is here! I had this chapter planned out for so long but couldn't find the right words. Not a lot of action compared to the previous chapter, but I promise, there is more to come! How's Y/N gonna get on all by herself? And how are Dean and Cas go about finding out what happened to the rift in NOLA? Stay tuned to find out! 😉
Feedback is greatly appreciated! Let me know if you’d like to be added to the taglist ☺️
stop hating women for having emotions
A trend throughout a lot of fandoms, and particularly TVDU, is to celebrate men for showing the bare minimum in emotional maturity and then hating women for trying to work through their own emotions. I've seen this so much recently with Hayley. She gets hate from all sides of the fandom because of the men people stan.
Now don't get me wrong, there are legitimate reasons to not like her in certain aspects, but if you have to mention a man's name to try and explain it to me, you've already lost me. Every man she comes in contact with has done equal if not worse. You don't need to hate a character simply because you like another character.
I've seen it from Klaus stans, Elijah stans, Jackson stans, etc. People use any excuse to hate her because she isn't as devoted to their fav toxic man as they are.
Personally, Hayley is one of my favorite characters in TVDU. And everyone knows my top favorite character is Elijah. Sure, I wish the writers would have given us more haylijah, but blaming Hayley solely for that is ridiculous. Elijah spent all of season 1 putting up barriers and still the only reason she turns to someone else is because she wants to protect her daughter. She then sacrifices nearly her entire life for the Mikaelson family. Jackson stans hate her because she doesn't love him like they think he deserves, but again, she never breaks her promise to him. The marriage was always political. Jackson knew this but caught feelings anyway, this is not Hayley's fault that he wanted to make it more. Klaus stans hate Hayley for so many reasons I can't even list them, but they are all utterly ridiculous. One thing Hayley will always do is put Hope first, not Klaus, as any mother would do. Maybe if the other mothers in the show had done this, we wouldn't have such toxic men (also this is not shifting blame onto women just pointing out the cycle of trauma).
Hayley, unlike many of the men, had good intentions most of the time and actually had character growth. She went from being a selfish, reckless young woman to a completely selfless, caring mother and alpha.
We see the same trends with Rebekah, Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, etc. All of the women are condemned whenever they try to process their emotions or put themselves first for once in their lives. I know the cast is made up of some attractive men, but we need to stop being so blinded by their appearance that we cannot recognize the importance of women fighting for their own happiness. Even if that happiness isn't from an attractive man. As Christina Yang would say, "He's not the sun, you are."
Chapter Six - I Dare You
After the last two weeks, you were completely emotionally drained. Your little near death experience when Alaric almost killed Klaus was enough to keep you home for a few days. You compelled a doctor’s note for school saying that you had pneumonia, but you really just needed a few days to process. Between fearing your own demise, discovering that Rebekah killed Elena and she became a vampire, and spending a short while thinking that Klaus was dead… you were spent.
The moment at your house that the two of you shared not long before Klaus was staked by Alaric and saved by Bonnie was replaying in your mind every night. He nearly kissed you, and you wanted him to. Why was he so attractive? It wasn’t even that he was hot – although it definitely was a part of it – he was alluring. You felt drawn to him every time you were in the same room. You wanted to get to know him, to be around him, to be near him. He made it hard to think about anything else whenever he was near you. Stefan wasn’t kidding when he always said that vampirism heightens your emotions.
One of the perks of being a vampire was that you could compel bartenders into serving you. Was that really the best part of being a vampire? Of course not, but right now, you need a drink. However what you were not anticipating when you walked into the Mystic Grill and approached the stairs up to the bar area... was seeing Klaus. More specifically, Klaus and his younger brother. The one that was rumored to be erratic, ruthless, unpredictable.
You’d seen Kol from a distance one other time, at the ball, but you never had to interact with or be near him. Seeing the pair alone together made your heart drop, but you had already made eye contact before you could turn around and abandon your plans for a drink. "I remember her from Mother’s ball," you hear Kol murmur to Klaus as you continue in their direction. Why did they have to be sitting right in front of the stairs? With a sigh, you continue up the stairs and shoot a half-assed smile in Klaus's direction before walking down two bar stools from Kol and signaling the bartender. You haven’t spoken since that moment at your house before his near-death, and you had no idea what to even say. ‘Thanks for not dying? Hey, wanna talk about how you almost kissed me?’ "She looks like a tasty little thing," Kol continued, but you don't dare look in their direction.
"Say another word and I'll tear out your liver." Klaus threatens his brother under his breath. Your mind is racing in your head as you try not to hear their conversation - though your vampire hearing doesn't help at all.
"Can I have a shot of vodka?" you ask, and the bartender looks you up and down.
"Need to see some ID." he requests. You stare into the bartender's eyes and say "No you don't." Without another word, he goes to make your drink and you have a seat on the barstool.
"Isn't she stunning?" you hear Klaus mutter to his brother. You can’t help but glance over at him, accidentally making eye contact as the two were very obviously watching you.
Placing your chin in your hand and resting on the bar, you cover your embarrassed smile with your palm and wait for your drink. "Charlotte! Join us for a drink?" Klaus finally speaks up. He is cheerful and pleasant, which is a little unsettling. You’d never know that he was staked and transferred into another body merely days ago. Kol is eyeing you like a meal, making you very uneasy. You may be a vampire, but you certainly cannot fight off an original. As much as you found yourself wanting to say yes, you were too scared to. Perhaps if Klaus had been alone you'd have found the courage to take him up on his offer, but Kol's menacing gaze made you very nervous.
"Uhh, thanks but I'm not staying," you respond, downing your shot with a grimace and placing a five on the counter. Without another word, you pass by the men and head back down the way you came, feeling both pairs of eyes on you as you walk away. You could hear someone follow you as you walked out of the Mystic Grill, and you just hoped that it wasn't Kol. "Charlotte!" Klaus calls out to you as he crosses the street. You stop with a shaky breath and turn to look at him. He stops a few paces in front of you and just looks at you for a brief moment - one that felt like an eternity. The tension could be cut with a knife and you wonder what he is thinking. "What?" You finally ask after he doesn't speak, and he lets out an airy chuckle. "Aren’t you glad to see I’m alive and well?" he smiles. How much has he had to drink?
"I am," you respond shortly, unsure of what else to say.
"Join me for a drink,” he asks again, trying to persuade you. “What's the harm?" he presses, seeming genuinely curious. "C'mon, love. Take a chance," he says with a smirk in that thick British accent. "Talk to me." he continues, taking a hasty seat on the bench beside you and spreading his right arm across the back. You can't help but laugh at his insistence, feeling a blush forming. "Come on! Get to know me!" he smiles. He seems so genuine, you think this is the most laid back you have ever seen him. Is this a side of Klaus that you hadn't seen before? "I dare you," he challenges you, his smile twisting into an all too familiar playful smirk. Your head is telling you no but you can't help it - you want to sit here and talk to him. You do want to get to know him.
"What the hell," you mutter and have a seat beside him on the bench. There is still plenty of space between the two of you, but somehow sitting beside him felt much more intimate. He turns his body toward you and gazes at you for a long moment. It is slightly awkward, as he doesn't say anything. His smirk never falls from his lips as he shamelessly watches you. You laugh awkwardly and meet his eye. "So…what do you wanna talk about?" you ask after many long seconds of silence.
Without any hesitation, Klaus responds: "I wanna talk about you." You laugh and he looks totally serious, eyebrows raised and a more playful smile spreading across his features. He finally looks away from you for a brief moment before saying: "Your hopes. Your dreams. Everything you want in life." he states. You laugh awkwardly again but see he is fully serious.
"Just to be clear, I'm too smart to be seduced by you," you joke, although a part of you is trying to convince yourself of that. He smirks again and shrugs.
"That's why I like you," he responds. You look into his eyes for a long moment, feeling the butterflies growing in your stomach. What is his end game?
"Have you traveled?" he asks, starting the conversation. You sigh and lean back into the bench a little.
"Not really, no. I've never been anywhere out of the state."
"Do you want to?" he presses.
You take a second to think about it before responding: "Yeah, I do. I plan to, probably after graduation. Being a vampire and all. I'm not sure where, though." He smiles and nods, seeming like he is truly interested in what you have to say. "Where's your favorite place that you have been?" you ask him. His brows raise in seeming surprise but his smile remains on his full lips and he takes a moment to think.
"Believe it or not... Probably New Orleans." he responds, studying your reaction. You would've guessed Paris or Rome... But somehow his answer actually felt more real to you.
"Why?" you ask, turning yourself to face him more, intrigued by his response. His lips curve into a grin and he lets out a long breath.
"The art. The music. The culture. It's... magnificent there." Something about the way he says it makes you believe him.
"That sounds nice. I'll have to add it to my list," you joke.
"I'll take you," he states, seemingly completely serious. You chuckle but his face remains serious. "Really. Anywhere you want." he presses, and you can't help but feel your insides melting at him. He knows how to say all the right things. You don't know what to say so instead you change the topic.
"Are you going to be at the pageant tomorrow?" you ask, assuming his answer to be a no.
"Are you?" he asks instead of answering. You meet his eye once more before shrugging and leaning your back against the bench.
"Yeah, founding family and all," you respond unenthusiastically.
"Ah yes, Charlotte Fell,” he responds, catching you off guard. “Then I will be there," he declares, and you furrow your brows and look over at him over your shoulder. He seems serious, but you just don't understand why he is doing this.
"Oh, uh, you don't have to-" you start but he stands.
"It's settled then," he grins down at you. "I'll see you tomorrow, Charlotte." And before you could say anything else, he starts heading back toward the Grill, probably to collect his brother. You sit there for a minute, pondering what the hell just happened. The smile hasn't left your face and suddenly you realize, clearing your throat and standing, trying to play it off. Why were you suddenly so excited for this stupid ball?
~~~
The next afternoon came quicker than you were ready for. You hadn’t put a lot of thought into your dress originally, but suddenly it was all you could think about. You spent the entire morning searching through your closet for a dress that caught your eye. It had to be respectful, not too over the top, but also beautiful. You hated how much you cared about what Klaus thought. Eventually, you threw yourself backwards onto your bed with a loud huff. Maybe you could borrow a dress? You thought about asking Caroline, but she was probably already at the pageant setting up. You could probably ask Elena, but your styles were different and both girls would probably ask too many questions. They know that you’re not interested in this kind of stuff, that you don’t freak out over what to wear. And you didn’t want to raise any more eyebrows than you already will if/when you are seen with Klaus at this dumb pageant.
As you scroll down your contacts list, a name toward the bottom catches your eye. Rebekah? Surely she has hundreds of gorgeous dresses. But she was terrifying, to say the least. Before she threw Elena and Matt off the bridge, you would’ve been more inclined to ask her. But now… She was clearly very unstable. Granted, she thought that her brother was just murdered, and you could see why she would take it out on Elena. Matt certainly didn’t deserve it, but humans always wound up being collateral damage.
Would she even let you borrow one, anyway? She has always been more friendly to you than to any of your friends. You’d had some brief conversations and she knew that you had no interest in killing her or her family, unlike your friends. Would it be weird?
Without giving yourself any more time to ponder, you hit the call button and wait anxiously as the phone rings. Half of you hoped she didn’t answer, as you were not entirely sure what she may say. She wasn’t a very predictable person, at least to you. You never knew how any of the Mikaelson’s would act, to be honest. Except, maybe, Elijah. Eventually, the phone picked up.
“Charlotte, this is a surprise,” a thick British voice speaks on the other line.
“Hey, Rebekah. Sorry to bother you, I hope you’re not busy.”
“Just getting ready for this little pageant. What can I do for ya?” she asks. You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding and sat up in your bed.
“I know this is last minute and probably a stupid question but… Would you happen to have a dress I could borrow for today?” you spit out, dreading her response. She is silent for two or three seconds and you fear the worst, but then she replies.
“Of course, I have loads. Come by my place, I’ll let you have a look.” You are shocked by her response but don’t dare pass up the opportunity to look through Rebekah Mikaelson’s wardrobe.
“Oh thank you so much! Can I come by right now?”
“Perfect, I’ll see you shortly.”
You hurriedly get dressed into some shorts and a blouse and head over to Rebekah’s house. After your conversation at their family’s ball, you found that you had a lot in common with the female Mikaelson. She was someone you could see yourself being friends with, if you could just earn her trust.
You have seen the house in town once or twice, but you’d never been inside. And like you expected, it was immaculate. You knew that she no longer lived with her brothers after they had been having some issues (including Klaus daggering her for a short while not too long ago), but you still worried about possibly running into the Mikaelson brothers. You knocked on the tall white door and heard “come in!” from somewhere inside, so you opened it and hesitantly placed your foot over the barrier. You weren’t really all that surprised that you were able to come in, and so you did. You found Rebekah in the large living room, dresses splayed everywhere. “Wow, you weren’t kidding.” you remark as you walk over toward her. She grins and shrugs nonchalantly.
“This isn’t even half of it. These here are the ones I’m thinking about wearing tonight,” she explains, and you raise your eyebrows, impressed.
“They’re all gorgeous,” you reply, and she touches the lace on one of them.
“Which do you think would look better for me?” She holds up a yellow one first, then a red one. You aren’t too great at this sort of thing, but you want to help - and more importantly, get on her good side.
“I think it depends what you’re going for. The red is sexier, especially with your blonde hair. The yellow is really pretty, but safer.” She seems to take what you said to heart and holds the red one up to herself in front of a large standing mirror.
“I’m not in the pageant but I still want to look hot.” she comments with her back to you. Your eyes scan the dresses splayed on the furniture, thinking about what may look best for her.
“What about this one?” you hold up a mid-length dark emerald green strapless dress. Rebekah turns and smiles, seeming to appreciate your input. You knew that she didn’t have any friends here in Mystic Falls - half by her own doing and half by her reputation. Being her friend would be nice, in comparison to your current friends.
“I like it.” She takes the dress and walks behind an elegant dressing divider to change. You take in your surroundings as you wait for her, admiring the beauty of the house.
“So I thought that you weren’t really into this sort of thing?” she asks from behind the divider. “That’s what you said at my family’s ball.” Part of you is surprised that she remembered.
“I’m really not,” you start, anxious about telling her the real reason why. “If I’m being completely honest… Your brother sort of… made himself my date.” You chuckle nervously, unsure of how else to put it. He didn’t ask, he just told you.
Rebekah comes out from behind the divider in the emerald dress and studies you for a moment. “Really?” she starts. “Klaus, I presume?” she clarifies, and you nod nervously. “Huh, he must really fancy you. I don’t see why he’d want to come to this, unless your little friends are up to no good again.” Your heart drops slightly and you worry that she is lumping you together with their meddling.
“They’re not really my friends,” you start. “I mean, I guess they kind of are, but more because we’re all vampires, not because I like them.” You clarify. She looks up from where she is hanging her dresses on a clothes rack and shrugs.
“They suck,” she comments, and you can’t help the snort that escapes.
“Yeah, they do,” you agree. She smiles at you and crosses her arms.
“Well, let’s get you a dress Nik will like.” Your eyes go wide but you follow her as she guides you up the stairs.
The two of you spend the next hour looking through dresses and getting ready. She helps you with your makeup, as you mentioned how you couldn’t really do much except basic day-to-day looks. She did a soft eyeshadow look to match with the burgundy halter top dress that you picked. She said that Klaus would like it, and it was your favorite color. “So this is all to impress my brother?” Rebekah asks as she blends your eyeshadow. You can’t see her expression with your eyes closed, but she doesn’t seem hostile.
“Uhhh-” you start, unsure how to respond.
“I’m surprised that you’re interested, given how he’s been with Elena and the Salvatore brothers.” she continues.
“I’m not gonna say what he’s done to Elena was right, but then again… They’ve taken things too far with you all. I think everyone’s at fault, to some degree.” you shrug.
“I agree. Nik has always been over the top, doesn’t care who he hurts. But the doppelganger got to live and he got his way, they should just let it go already.” she steps back from you and grins. “There. Have a look.” She hands you a small mirror and you can’t help the wide smile that spreads across your face.
“Wow. This looks amazing. Thank you.” you take in your look.
“So you are interested? In my brother?” She revisits her previous comment.
You lower the mirror and drop your gaze in embarrassment.
“I don’t know how I feel. He makes me… Nervous. He’s constantly flirting with me, I know that. I’m not sure what he wants from me. But… I mean, he’s ridiculously handsome, and charming…” you trail off, going back and forth between how you feel. It’s clear that you feel some sort of way for him, but you just don’t want to admit it.
“Oh you got it bad,” Rebekah giggles, rolling her eyes playfully.
“What?” you blush.
“Look. Let me offer you some advice, girl to girl.” She takes a seat on her large bed beside you. You turn your body toward her and listen intently. “Nik is… Not like anyone you’ve ever met. He has a temper and he always gets his way. But… I’ve only seen him be kind to you. And given the people you hang around - regardless of whether you consider them friends - it’s very telling that he is kind to you. So yeah, I would say he does fancy you.” Your heart skips a beat at her thoughts. “That doesn’t make you invincible, though. If you were scheming with them or plotting against him in any sort of way… He’s got no problem hurting his siblings, so don’t question what he would do to any of you.” You nod with a thick gulp, understanding her warning.
“Thank you, Rebekah.”
“Okay but tell me the truth. If Nik were really all that interested in you… What would you do?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, are you serious about him? What about your friends? Elena? Surely you don’t think you could go out with my brother and hang around them. Especially after I just turned her into a vampire," she stands and grabs a glass of champagne from her bedside, showing no remorse for what she did. Could you really blame her?
“I don’t care what they think. They’re gonna have plenty to say after seeing me with him today,” you grimace at all the things Caroline will say to you. “Last night, he told me to get to know him,” you start, and Rebekah listens intently. “So…I guess that’s what I intend to do. I don’t see the harm in getting to know him…” You trail off, trying to hide the embarrassed blush creeping across your cheeks.
“You really do fancy him!” she exclaims, and you laugh. “Now, enough chit chat. We have a pageant to get to,” Rebekah grins.

Poly cg mikaelsons x little reader where she got sad about something and how would they cheer her up
Sad little reader x caregivers Mikaelsons Headcannons
Flufftober, October 17th
A/n: the fact that I wrote this in under fifteen minutes once i got it🤫😍
They'd all be worried and want to just bundle you up and never let you go
^but then again, that's what they're thought for everything is about
Kol
Kol would get you intranced into a movie that you both love or a game
And sometimes when the timing is perfect, he'll rope you into a prank
Which that always ends with getting himself a lecture, same with you for agreeing with the youngest sibling. Usually from Elijah, and sometimes Klaus
If the prank so happens to be on Rebekah, well then Kol definitely gets yelled at while she holds you in her arms like you were a victim of it
If it's clear your still sad after, Kol will build a whole pillow fort and bring all your stuffed inside, and you guys can relax and cuddle
That always cheers you up not just when your sad.
Rebekah
Rebekah turns softer than she already is (which is jars to believe) to you.
She'll pick you up and rock you in her arms
She'd bring you to her bedroom and snuggle with you under all the soft blanket all day is she has to
^which she won't complain about
You'll snuggle into her chest and place your ear right over her heart to hear the rhythm of her heart
If your still sad later on, you'll usually pull at the collar of her shirt down. Which she knows exactly what it means.
She'll take both your guys' shirts and bras off, leaving you to snuggle into her comfy and warm chest. Skin to skin contact always calms you down, especially when it's with your Mommy
Elijah
Elijah would bring you into his arms and hold you close when he sees your saddened face when he walks into the room
He'd play with your hair, and sometimes put small braids in it
His go to activity for when you're down, is to read to you. His voice always calms you down and makes you sleepy, which us why you love when he tells you to pock out a book from the shelves
The book usually tends to be a fantasy one, but he doesn't mind and always will read the book you choose (as long as the content is decent)
You'll be entranced into the book, and soon enough Elijah will have a snoozing little girl cuddling into his shoulder
Klaus
Klaus' immediate thoughts would be someone did something to you before you, to the best of your abilities, explain that no one did nothing
^but if someone did, I pity that poor soul for what's coming for them
He would try to get you to talk about what wrong, and why your sad. And if that doesn't work, like most times, he brings you into his art studio
He'd distract you with having you make your own art and him guiding you through using the paint brush. Sometimes, he brings out the 'fun paint' which you use for finger painting
Finger painting always puts a smile on your face and Klaus' aswell. At the end he'll have to give you a whole bath to get the paint off, but you and he don't mind.
As long as you had fun and no more sad thoughts

How did you feel with Hope’s and Rebekah’s interactions in legacies? I was really disappointed in Rebekah. I understand that Klaus and Hayley would’ve hated to see Hope without her humanity, but Rebekah had no right to say that Klaus would be disappointed in Hope. Hope has been through so much, and no one in her family seemed to care. Rebekah, and the rest of the mikaelsons, seemingly abandoned Hope - which would’ve disappointed Klaus, Hayley, and Elijah way more than Hope unwillingly turning off her humanity. Say what you will about Elijah, and you can say a lot because he was awful (especially towards Marcel), but he wouldn’t have allowed Hope to deal with malivore and a random god alone. It still makes me angry that the Mikaelsons helped Hope regain her humanity but scattered when she was in danger once more because of some idiotic god named Ken.
Rebekah got on my nerves so badly, to be honest. She showed up out of nowhere after years of no contact and she just expected Hope to be happy and not hold a grudge against the fact that they left her completely alone to die???
Honestly, the Mikaelson (and by this I mean Kol, Rebekah and Freya) did not care for Hope that much even in The Originals. They had set crazy expectations in her and once they saw Hope didn't fit their happily ever after, they dumped her.
I'm not saying they didn't love her because they clearly did, but they cared more about her being the redemption of their family/what she was supposed to "fix" way more than they cared for Hope herself: in my opinion, the only people who didn't see her as their redemption were Klaus and Hayley and don't get me wrong, Klaus was a shitty father but at least he along with Hayley never put any expectation in her.
I mean, Freya already expressed her little interest in making sure Hope kept her innocence as a kid in this conversation:
[HAYLEY: I've done plenty wrong in my life, Freya. But things are different now. I have a sweet little girl who's going around healing injured fireflies with her magic. If we're keeping someone captive in our barn, she's gonna have questions.
FREYA: Then tell her that the world's a bad place and that sometimes we have to do bad things to survive. She'll be safer if she learns that early.
HAYLEY: It's not her job to keep herself safe. It's mine. It's ours. And that includes protecting her innocence.
FREYA: She's a Mikaelson -- she can live without her innocence. She can't live without her family. She's a Mikaelson, and you're-]
And as any other Mikaelson loves doing, Freya made sure to remind her of why Hayley would never be actually part of her family: she doesn't share their blood. I mean, look at Hope; she does share their blood and yet they didn't give a damn about her, Freya didn't care about making sure she grew as normal as possible (extremely difficult with their lifestyle), Rebekah ditched Hope the moment she stopped being a baby because she couldn't live her fantasy of wanting to cosplay as a mother and Kol wasn't even allowed to be around her when she was a baby, and then they never actually developed a bond once she grew up.
Of course, this is controversial because in The Originals, judging by the phone call Hope has with Kol, the way she behaves around Freya and that line in Legacies about Rebekah teaching her how to dance, it is implied they were close enough to have a good relationship and that they did care for her. And she's even closer to Marcel, if we take into account how comfortable and happy they act with each other.
Freya did say she saw Hope as the kid she lost and of course, the moment she had a kid of her own she dumped her. Rebekah was obsessed with being a mother and yet it's proven time and time again to be a shitty person around kids: the grooming with Marcel, being mean to Elena and Caroline because she was jealous and not giving a damn about Hope once she grew up and then we have Kol, who funnily enough seems to be closer to her than Freya and Rebekah and of course Marcel, the person Hope loves more than any of her blood relatives lol.
Don't get me wrong, Legacies played a big part in the way the Mikaelson ruined their relationship with Hope, but I don't get why people act so surprised and hurt about their abandonment of her when there were already signs of this in The Originals. The only reason they even stayed together for a millennium was because of Elijah and because Klaus refused to let them go, so of course they would fall apart once they died.
And yes, I agree with the whole Elijah thing. He loved Hope a lot once he got to know her in season five and he would have never left her alone in the Salvatore school, but he would also never have allowed her to stay that long on it.
