I'm legally not allowed to interact much with the Hunger Games fandom because I'm an american studies major in my 20s and would disrupt the fragile ecosystem of teenagers engaging with fictional depictions of fascist structures and just war theory.

The other reason is that I would have to immediately combust from Hypocrite Disease because I had self-insert Hunger Games OCs and engaged in shipping discourse, too. That's part of how we engage with depictions of fascist structures and just war theory as teenagers, and enabling that is part of what makes the franchise so special.

This reduces my natural habitat to 2-hour video essays about the cultural geography of Panem (x) and a few select posts, but that's a price I'm willing to pay for conservation.

A complicated question! Mino was uneducated for most of her life but pushed herself hard to catch up when joining the Hellknights. A lot of her vocabulary is only advanced when it's legalese or philosophical, and tends to be more crass or 'peasant' quality elsewhere. She also tries hard to sound on equal footing with the nobility when she's investigating them and around them, but falls short more often than not. She does not have time for leisure reading that would support a more robust vocabulary.

- EMOTION >> ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️

Minovae has been punished her entire childhood for any sort of emotion stronger than a small smile, and her subsequent entry into the Hellknights encouraged suppressing the despair and rage and grief and wrath long festering inside her. That being said it did help her with other issues that lessened a lot of those feelings and helped her understand and express happiness and more positive emotions better. As a matured adult that has been forced to acknowledge and work through what she's buried for decades, she still has difficulties with catharsis and actually letting herself process the darker side of herself. Bottling things up is her first instinct, not wanting to burden others with her negative emotions, but she is making steps to handle things more in stride rather than reaching a breaking point.

As such, most people only know her as a smiling and bright person, eager to crack a joke and cheer others up. Those that really know her know there's a lot more going on beneath the surface and can see the telltale signs she's needing a sit down and talk.

- SENTENCE STRUCTURE >> ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚪⚪

Hellknights favor brevity in all situations where intense legalese isn't needed, but, well, Minovae is also a former bard. In casual situations she's what you'd expect of a friendly Wiscrani bard that loves a good meal and drink. In professional matters she's short and to the point up until Formality and Legal is required, THEN you might need to break out the dictionary as she is hyper specific, not wanting to imply or stretch facts beyond the core truth of the matter, and note where each clause and comma and punctuation she pauses for breath is.

It's immediately obvious she is not from any sense of nobility or wealth, and might be the kind of voice you'd hear in the docks or fishing districts but more... 'trained'... Especially when she's had a bit to drink and the Hellknight education falls off she sounds like she just dragged herself out from behind some alleyway in the one of the poorer districts of Westcrown.

Despite being 100% Chelaxian, one would immediately clock Minovae's last name, Arangeir, as some bastardization of the Galtan surname Arangier. She did in fact 'take' it from a kind older Galtan woman that nearly adopted her, but was unable to for various reasons.

I have no actual clue how this tag meme works. I'm just assuming I'm supposed to share part of my WIP. This is from the last scene I've written for Cipher, chapter 10. Not thoroughly edited yet.

Her pace quickens, the shadows of old airlocks flashing by like doors branching off into the unknown, their keys lost to the void. The hallway bends around the flattened disk shape of the station, and another burst of ill-advised speed brings into view the extended line of a turian leg, his body bent over it as he stretches and catches his breath. Shepard slows back down. For all that endurance running is a point of human pride, it looks less than impressive when going up against the alien equivalent of an ostrich or perhaps a cassowary; as she trudges onward, more or less steadily, she has the dubious pleasure of watching Garrus lope ahead with unmatchable speed, his body like a projectile let loose, to leave her in the dust. She’ll find him again eventually—already has, several times now—but even knowing that his frequent breaks are less for her sake than his own, the fable of the turtle and the rabbit has never felt less inspiring to her than when she catches up to where he has been resting. Approaching him in a leisurely jog now, she watches Garrus lift his head, then straighten. Agitated hands tug his jacket back into place.  Her pants come loudly in the night-cycle quiet, though somewhere in the distance Grover is tightening a screw with one of his pneumatic drills, and Garrus doesn’t comment on it. She closes the distance—sees the opportunity for pulling ahead, turning the tables on him—sweet vindication—but she knows well enough what she’s here for and winning isn’t it. She stops in front of him, heart thudding. “You sure you’re not ruining your threads this way?” she asks, gesturing at the entirety of him. Pointedly, she eyes first the stiff fabric of his jacket and then his equally-stiff boots. He’s bouncing on the balls of his feet, the longitudinal arches flexing as she watches, his ankles bending, and the creak of the patent leather is almost as audible as her slowing breaths. “I’m not attached to them,” murmurs Garrus. As his attention drifts from her and back to the long curve of the perimeter, he’s looking every bit the racing hound, yearning for the run even as he’s flagging. She suspects he didn’t say yes to doing a few laps just to humor her. “You sure about that? They look to be in the ‘had to promise your firstborn’ price class.”  The phrasing serves its purpose; his focus snaps back to her like a rubber band. Even then, there’s no confused mandible-flapping, no analyzing tilt of his head. Either he has become more proficient in human idioms or he has lost the will to put up with them. She’s certain it’s the latter, though that conviction wavers when he says, “It’s not that bad. Hierarchy turians believe in overpriced fashion about as much as they believe in any form of democracy.” “And are you?” she asks. “A ‘Hierarchy turian’ now?” Garrus stops bouncing. He eases off the tips of his powerful toes, down to his regular height, then crosses his arms. Jutting elbows. She must have stumbled her way onto a truly touchy subject. The sudden absence of his frenetic energy leaves her a little woozy, though she rediscovers it a second later in the speedy tap of his fingers onto his arms, the slash of his fringe through the air. None of it bleeds into his tone; if anything, his voice is droll and smooth when he says, “In about as much as you were ever an ‘agent of the Council.’”

Extended Guide

Multiverse - This blog is created upon canon divergent headcanons inspired by Lilith's mythology and the first two minutes of the canon show. It will explore various timelines, AU's and plots that may deviate from the original intention of the show's creator.

Multiship - I mostly default to Lilith having a complicated relationship with Lucifer due to their differing views on their subjects, however I take this on a case by case scenario depending on the writers and muses I write with. I don't do polyshipping at the moment. Cheating will not be something I will explore if Lilith is shipped with someone else. Please consider those instances either AU, or done during her separation/divorce from her canon husband. If we want to ship, we have to talk about it & explore the way our muses interact with each other. We might not always click. As a default - I mainly gravitate towards Lucifer&Lilith. However, I have a lot of love for Adam&Lilith due to their legends and what they represent in philosophy/psychology. Everything else is chemistry based.

Adult space / 18+ - I am an adult and don't wish to engage with people under 21. I only make this exception for child muses. I will write adult themes only with adult muns and muses. Among them, you will find psychological and physical torture, sexual themes and gore.

NSFW - I draw it and I write it. The drawings will only be posted on Sundays. Depending on the context, I will either tag it with suggestive tw, or add the usfw tw tag if the drawing/writing is graphic enough to warrant it. (the tag will be used once it passes the nudity/gore threshold in my art, or passes into the descriptive territory of displaying a sexual/torturing act in writing) I will mostly resort to fade to black when it comes to smut, unless the mun & I mutually agree to write it together OOC.

The Housekeeping Post

This is... Well, you've read the thumbnail. For Hungarian monarchs who ruled after Mohács I refer you to @best-habsburg-monarch

(A later team-up to better determine the truly best ruler of Hungary is possible, but that's kind of a distant idea as of writing this post.)

More or less following the same model as Best Habsburg Monarch mentioned above, i.e. one-on-one duels organized into brackets. Round 1 has 32 contestants, Round 2 has 16, Round 3 has 8, Semifinals of course 4 and lastly there's Finals, where we crown the Ultimate King Of Hungary.

We are using Hungarian names (even with the idiotic Hungarian system of putting regnal numbers before the names, natch), but in some cases you will see their Slovak names in brackets. Because fuck it, we ARE reclaiming these bitches.

Contestants are more or less taken from the Wikipedia list, with some caveats. Václav III. doesn't count. If anyone feels sorry for him, they are kindly invited to create a kings of Bohemia bracket. (Seriously if someone wants to complete the Visegrád triplet, please do, and then tell us all about it!) Neither does Otto of Bavaria, because I don't know shit about him (I mean his short disputed reign doesn't exactly help his case, but you could argue we are letting in shorter and more spurious reigns, so that's not completely fair). II.Lászo and IV.István are labeled as antikings by Wikipedia, and if we kick them out, we get 32 contestants, which is a very convenient number for a bracket, so there you go.

Hi! I am trying to understand what this blog is going to be this time around. I am sharing dracula daily with someone who couldn't participate last year, and worrying that it's going to be hard to find spoiler-free posts to show them. I saw in your pinned that you mentioned spoilers and so got interested.

I just wanted to ask instead of assume, what is the idea for this here blog?

Much the same as last year! (Which I take it you were around for, since you said "this time around"?) That is, I'll be reblogging and tagging posts from the #dracula daily tag. If I see posts that spoil events from later in the story, I'll hold those back until the emails catch up. Essentially, if you're a first-time reader and follow this blog, you should not see spoilers in your feed.

Let me explain why I mentioned spoilers in my pinned post. Part of my original intent when I started this blog was to make it possible for people who'd fallen behind, to catch up again. They can go through the tag for the dates they missed, and enjoy all the memes and analysis at their leisure.

The problem is, if first-time readers scroll back too far in any date tag (take today's, 3 May, for instance), they'll wind up reading posts about 3 May from last year. Some of last year's posts are fine. But posts can be tagged with more than one date — for example, if the OP wanted to contrast events on 3 May with a later entry. So a first-time reader would be happily reading 3 May reactions from this year, then suddenly see spoilers from late last year.

Of course, this applies to all tags (including for characters). But dates seem the most liable to trick people into thinking they're safe, spoiler-wise, so I wanted to caution everyone.

I hope this helps, and I'm sorry if I was unclear in my pinned post!

BEST EXPERIENCE : Joining The Quarry fandom, which allowed me to find my bestie Ladybug, while also making it easier for me to join other fandoms and meet more friends who are so special to me now. I never expected to meet so many amazing people in The Boys fandom, so that's another highlight to me.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : Being pestered for replies. If I'm rushed in any way, shape or form, my brain just shuts down, and I lose all excitement I used to have. It's one thing to be excited for a thread, that's totally fine, but being purposefully rushed or guilt-tripped into replying is a no-go for me. It has happened to me so many times, I already know how it goes and feel it in the air sometimes, even. I want to write at my leisure and to allow others to do the same. I know I take a lot of time sometimes, but if I'm rushed, I won't ever write for that thread/person again, unless I force myself and throw soulless replies that eventually die. But I'm done trying to be nice to that kind of people and then feeling bad for not being able to keep up, so I'll probably stop outright the next time this happens. Fingers crossed that it doesn't.

PLOTS OR MEMES : Both! If I can't for the life of me come up with a random interaction, I ask for plot, but I am mostly more than fine with memes to get things going! Both are excellent!

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : Both long and short replies are fun! Sometimes it's easier to throw rapid-shot responses, so I go for small, but other times the muse is high and I want to describe more, so I can go for long. Any of those are fine as long (heh, punny) as I have something to reply to.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : Any time my muse is high, or even when my muse is not that high. As long as I can inspire myself enough, I'm game any time. I suppose I usually write during the noon/afternoon onward.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : I usually like to find something that explains to me why I love a certain character and all that. Most of the time, I think it's just me trying to justify myself or make myself cooler, so I sometimes don't really believe I am like a character more like I want to be said character. Even so, I think Butcher is what I could've been had I not been helped when very young. Maeve feels like kind of a mirror to Butcher. She also seems to think she deserves the bad things that happen to her while showing herself as a really strong, indestructible person, I think I relate to that (and her situation of her romantic orientation and stuff, probably? Idk). Emma's cheery mask, Travis' stoic demeanor during rough situations, also Emma's calm demeanor during dangerous situations... The other characters I just really love for one thing or the other without really relating but probably admiring. And the AIs? I just really adore AIs.

The iPad Kid In Question

In today's generation, the concept of "iPad kids" has gained popularity as a meme and cultural reference. It represents a generation of youngsters who have grown up surrounded by technology, specifically tablets like the iPad. It was an ongoing meme that can be coined as an insult that led me to deny that I am not an iPad kid. However, with how I deal with everyday life, I’ve realized that I cannot live without it. The iPad has played an important role in my life, especially in my academics and leisure activities.

Do I need my traditional nursing books? No, I have already downloaded them to my note-taking app (Goodnotes). I do not need to bring my thick nursing books to school because I have everything downloaded on my iPad. Do I need to bring tons of notebooks or pad paper when note-taking during lectures? No, I do not need to because I have a handy dandy iPad with me when I go to school.

One of the most significant advantages of utilizing an iPad for taking notes is its portability. iPads are lightweight and compact, allowing me to easily carry them wherever I go. Whether in a classroom, group meeting, or coffee shop, the iPad offers a convenient device for taking notes on the go without the need for heavy notebooks or stacks of paper. iPads also save notes digitally, removing the need for physical storage and minimizing clutter. I do not need to be stressed whenever I cannot find a certain reviewer of mine that I need to use to study for a quiz the next day. Moreover, I can organize my notes into folders, categories, or tags, making it simple to find specific information quickly and therefore saving me time and effort.

Aside from note-taking and storing my books, I can access a lot more websites and apps that are needed for my academic requirements. Apps like Quizlet and Anki, which I use for reviewing, especially for active recall and spaced repetitions, allow me to create custom flashcards using text, graphics, music, and even mathematical equations that fit my learning style. They include multimedia features to improve my retention. These kinds of apps are really helpful for me since nursing is a course that demands a lot of memorization of different concepts. They are my lifesaver when memorizing key terms, medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and other nursing concepts.

Canva is also an app that helps me survive school, and without it, my non-creative self cannot live in the academic realm wherein creativity is a required skill in creating and finishing schoolwork. The ready-made presentations, infographics, posters, and other forms of media help me meet school deadlines. I still tweak its design, but the fact that there is a template that I can use as a guide makes me more productive. Regardless of background or expertise, a person can create graphic designs using the straightforward drag-and-drop interface and pre-designed templates of Canva.

Another app that is helpful in terms of video editing because of how accessible it is and easy to navigate is Capcut. It is an app that both my iPad and phone can access, making video editing for school tasks easier than before. The interface is well-organized, with tools and features that are easy to access and use, allowing me to efficiently edit videos without being overwhelmed by complex settings. CapCut provides a comprehensive range of editing tools and features that allow me to modify and enhance videos based on my preferences and the requirements of my subjects. When I was in high school, I needed to borrow my mother’s laptop to edit in a built-in video editing app that was hard to navigate because of its technicality and complicated interface. But with this particular app, I can finish my work within a small amount of time, which I can say is perfect for a student who crams video-type projects.

Google apps like Google Meet, Google Slides, Sheets, Drawings, and most especially Google Docs, have made my life easier. With just having a Gmail account, I can access my documents on all of my devices. If I forget to add something to my document and I already closed my laptop, I can use my iPad or phone to add more information to my paper without the need to assemble my laptop, especially when I’m already lying down in bed ready to sleep. If there is an urgent need to revise my work but I’m out of the house and do not have my laptop with me, I can use my iPad or even my phone and edit it through the Google apps. With an Internet connection, these apps or websites bring convenience and accessibility wherever I go or whatever circumstances I have.

Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides also allow multiple users to work on the same document at once. This real-time collaboration function is especially useful for group projects, team meetings, and collaborative writing assignments. I can monitor changes and updates in real-time, thereby facilitating seamless communication and workflow efficiency. I also consider this a lifesaver to pinpoint my groupmates who have been neglecting group tasks and monitoring their contributions.

Moreover, the nerve-wracking experience of accidentally deleting one’s document is devastating and something I do not like to experience again. Google Apps are a lifesaver again in this aspect because they automatically save versions of documents, allowing me to track changes, return to previous versions, and discover who made specific modifications.

Last but not least, my favorite feature of the iPad is its size and how I can watch series and movies on a larger screen. I do not like the hassle of turning on my TV or my laptop, both of which I cannot bring to my bed whenever I need to rest. With the iPad, there is unlimited access to watching shows while lying comfortably in my bed. I have access to a vast library of movies, TV shows, documentaries, and original content, allowing me to explore a world of entertainment possibilities at any time and from any location. On top of that, I find it difficult to refrain from eating without watching something on my iPad. This behavior perfectly aligns with the concept of an 'iPad kid,' someone who eats while using their iPad. It is essential for me when I eat since if I do not distract myself through watching videos, I tend to eat too fast, therefore not being able to chew my food well.

Besides what I've mentioned above, the iPad's multitasking capabilities also enable me to view videos while also browsing the web, reading emails, or taking notes. Picture-in-Picture mode allows me to minimize the video player and continue watching content while using other programs, thereby increasing my productivity and multitasking effectiveness. I particularly enjoy this feature when I just need white noise or background noise whenever I need to finish something that does not require too much work or concentration. In addition, this feature is also useful whenever I need to write down notes during my online classes.

My phone and laptop have features and strengths that I use depending on what I need, but my iPad is a mixture of them. With the help of my Apple Pencil, offers versatile features that make my life more productive. The iPad's combination of features and characteristics provides versatility and adaptation to various demands and preferences. Whether I use it for work, play, education, or creativity, the iPad is a versatile platform that adapts to my changing needs and lifestyle. At this point, I can say that I’ve already achieved a return on investment, or ROI, with my iPad.

A phrase that can describe the technology, in general, is ‘my lifesaver’. Throughout my narrative, I cannot count how many times I mentioned that phrase because indeed, these smart devices, digital services, and software applications offer convenience and accessibility that make life easier. They provide unprecedented convenience and accessibility in our daily lives. Whether it's ordering food online, booking transportation, or operating smart home gadgets with voice commands, technology makes tasks and routines easier, saving time and effort. As we manage the complicated aspects of modern life, technology is our constant friend, allowing us to prosper in an ever-changing digital landscape.
