His apartment is canonically an absolute disastrous mess, but once you start tagging along and you two regularly go to each other's place, he starts trying to keep it cleaner

I think after everything that happened back in Nevermoor, he has a hard time talking about true crime like he used to

It definitely has a huge impact on his work and how he talks about those subjects

But it's also his biggest special interest and a way for him to externalize everything, so he doesn't stop his channel either

He also gets anxious and has panic attacks a lot more easily. Definitely keeps having sleeping issues (insomnia and nightmares mostly)

Expect to be treated as sleep medication. He cannot spend a good night without spooning you. You don't entirely solve his sleeping problems but he feels a lot less lonely with you by his side and it helps, in a way

Autistic!L Lawliet x Autistic!Reader who are polar opposites

L has always been rather quiet, even as a child

He didn't start talking until about 6, and even then he only began talking because it communicated his needs more efficiently

He prefers quiet spaces and being alone, because it allows him to focus more

He also hates chaos or unplanned things. If he has time to plan something out to a T, he can make sure nothing will go wrong, therefore insuring the safety of everyone

This being said, he never thought you were someone he'd remotely like being around, let alone dating you

No offense, but you are literally everything he hates

And when he comes into contacts with the things that make him uncomfortable (such as chaos, loudness, etc) he can get panicky

He will quickly become overwhelmed and irritable, meaning the littlest things can make him snap

If he can't focus how can he save the world? If the world isn't saved by him than who will do it? Panicking isn't helping though, it's making things worse. Oh god, he can't stop! He can't think straight long enough to calm down!

And then kaboom, he basically just shuts down

The second he met you he was on his guard, knowing this likely wouldn't end well

He prefers to not work with people, but he can handle them as long as they're quiet

This is entirely out of the question

As you can guess, your first meeting is almost a disaster

Well, everyone else didn't know it was a disaster of course. They actually thought it went pretty well!

But in actuality, L was completely overwhelmed by you

Not even you actually, just the idea that you might overwhelm him

TLDR: He became overwhelmed thinking about how overwhelmed you might make him, so you essentially did nothing wrong lol

After this, he keeps his distance

Of course though, this makes for a bad work environment

So he nervously invites you into his hotel room and explains things to you

How he feels around you, explaining his autism (which he refuses to do under normal circumstances), and asking you to explain yours as well so he can formulate an arrangement for you to be around each other without causing him to panic

After this communication is had, working together is a lot smoother

He considers you a better acquaintance than the rest of his employees

Meaning he feels closer to you

However, when you begin dating your differences are just another quirk to him that he finds endearing

He loves to see you get excited and flap your hands, he loves to see you dance to your loud music, he loves all of it

If he isn't in the headspace for loudness though, he will of course inform you before going off to be alone

If you want to try to accommodate his preferences into your behaviors is up to you, but he is perfectly happy either way

He finds himself feeling safe around you because of your loudness

Like, you are a German Shepard and he is a hurt bird

He'll hide behind you with his big ol' eyes staring at his surroundings while you fight off anyone that might be too much for him

And being exposed to you all the time helps him expose himself little by little to things that would previously make him very uncomfortable

For example, he can now go out in public without panicking over how many people there are and how many things could go wrong for short bursts of time

And he is now fine with soft music playing in the background while he works rather than just total silence the entire time

He also likes that having you around means you can do the talking for both of you and he doesn't have to actually break his focus for anything

Big post with a whole bunch of species headcanons! Not every character is here and some headcanons have more detail than others simply because I happened to have more ideas for those

First I want to say that in my headcanon, avians and bird hybrids are different things. While hybrids (in general) are a mix of different species with any combination of traits, avians are pretty uniform in what kind of bird traits they have, and in general avians are genetically more similar to each other than random birds hybrids are to each other. With that out of the way-

Grian is a parrot avian, and he has a ton of vocal stims, from whistling and singing to mimicking noises he hears.

Martyn is a parrot hybrid, and he loooves to do silly voices and mimick creeper hisses

Gem became an anglerfish sea monster of sorts thanks to the water in Hermitcraft. The same happened to Mumbo (catfish) and Grian (cod). And also False but I don't know what kind of fish fits her </3

Pearl is also a fish, but in a different way. She's a salmon that can shapeshift into a human (or any mix between fish and human, like a mermaid)

In Secret Life, Gem had the great idea to replace her eye with an eye of ender. She became some sort of end portal creature. Nobody else has ever seen anything like it and frankly, they're scared. But Gem thinks that it's standard for a universe so full of horror

Skizz is an angel, and angels are soulless! This is why he wasn't in Double Life, the soulbound mechanic didn't work with him.

Another angel is Zedaph, he's a sheep/angel hybrid. He has a weird half-soul thing going on but it's fine really.

Zedaph prefers not to fly long distances if he can avoid it, because long ago he hurt his wings badly and he has chronic pain now

Impulse is a demon, and while demons can usually fly, his wings are underdeveloped and can't get him off the ground. He uses elytra instead.

Scar is another winged elytra user. He's a vex and vexes can fly, but it's painful for him to use his wings

Scar is an actual vex like like the ones evokers summon, and he uses some sort of vex magic to appear hybrid-like. His true form is a little vex guy.

Cub is a human turned vex, and his hybrid-like appearance is his true form. He can look fully human if he wants to, but not fully vex

Xisuma is a voidwalker. Voidwalkers are beings that form very rarely when particles and soul fragments lost to the void come together and become conscious. They're the only beings that can survive in the deepest part of the void

Voidwalkers are so rare that most of them live their whole lives without finding another living being, especially because they don't tend to leave the bottom of the void.

Because voidwalkers spend their whole lives in complete darkness, their eyes aren't super well developed. Xisuma's vision is blurry, he has visual snow, and he's very sensitive to light. His helmet actually filters out a lot of light so it doesn't give him a headache

His helmet also helps him breathe. Voidwalkers are not made for high pressure atmospheres

Etho is a phantom hybrid. He's allergic to cats and also the sun. He needs very little sleep. His silver hair is not a species trait, it's dyed

^that's a Hermitcraft-only headcanon. I see him as a silverfish in the Life series, for no particular reason. The silver hair is a species trait in that case

Bdubs is a glare hybrid, being scared of the dark is part of his glare instincts. The moss coat isn't part of him but I'm sure he could be mossy if he wanted to. He can probably fit inside a moss block

Tango is a blaze hybrid. Or a blazeborn? I imagine it's a similar situation to avians and bird hybrids but I haven't put that much thought into this one. And both blazeborn and blaze hybrid can be shortened to blaze anyways

She can't get burned, and water hurts him. Water breathing negates water damage

His flame naturally burns orange, but it can be other colors depending on what she's using as fuel. For example, the blue Dungeon Master look comes from burning soul sand

Her body temperature also depends on fuel. Normal, orange Tango freezes very easily, but blue Tango's body temperature is so high that he doesn't even feel the cold

He has tritanopia, as do all netherborns. There's only really two colors in the nether so beings from there didn't evolve the ability to see more than that

She can hover, which he uses mostly to break her fall and do big jumps

Because she can't touch water (without potions at least), he takes soul sand baths like a chinchilla. Yes, this makes him blue for a while

the scriddler nation doesn't appreciate Riddler 2022 as I do so I'm here to make you love him

He's one of the best interpretations of Riddler and here is WHY.

“he's a desyassified version,” “he doesn't wear expensive suits full of question marks,” “that suit was boring” NO!!!!! IT WAS THE PERFECT SUIT FOR HIM TO START!!! He literally comes from the lowest point, and he talks about how the men in power and corruption keep the low income/poor people at the bottom. Ofc he can't afford those shiny beautiful suits because he doesn't have money for it. Also the military suit was GREAT. He paint it and designed his own symbol which is amazing, a gun sight with a "?" in the center.

Also, he fights againts corruption and classism? 😭 Why would ppl hate that? He fights for the people that were forgotten like him.

“it's not the same story of his father and blah blah blah” ok, they changed his origin story A LOT, and I can get why you get mad at it. I also get mad when I am used to the southern granny Scarecrow story and ppl change it to the story of his father experimenting of him- BUT regarding the Riddler's origin story, it is so so great. Eddie HATES LIES AS WELL, HATES CHEATING, because ppl used to tell him that he could have a better future, and gave him fake hopes. He just wanted an opportunity to be better and when that promise of renewal broke, he broke, too.

He grew wanting to please everyone, be a good boy for the nuns and the other children at the orphanage, even if he didnt agree in somethings or if it was difficult for him to act "normal" (masking his autism- we will talk about that soon), but NOBODY thanked or pleased him. As he got older, he still followed orders from his corrupt boss and the goverment. But what did they do for him? NOTHING. And when he does something for himself ppl tag him as self-centered.

He became the Riddler for the others that also needed help, not only because of him, and ppl still think he's selfish.

He's implied to be autistic (you can notice this more in the comics of Riddler: Year One by Paul Dano), he is non-verbal since kid (canon), as an adult ppl say he doesn't talk and call him weird. He doesn't know how to interact with people in a "normal" way. He also seems to vocally stim with riddles and weird silly noises that you can hear in the movie.

The catholic guilt content? PLEASEEEE. We need to take advantage of that. He even did a catholic reference riddle!!! (That one of the sins of the father)

We can also see that topic of him dont knowing if he's insane or not, (or denying being it). He knows his situation is not good, and HE TRIES to be better, listening to podcast about mindfulness and stay positive- but at the end, everything gets worse to him. He's very smart and is afraid that his biggest and greatest thing about himself (his mind) is also the worst thing and can turn againts himself because of a mental illness. We saw it in the movie when Batman calls him "sick and twisted, etc etc," and he has a mental breakdown. Yes, that scene is DEEPER than you think. His mother died in Arkham when he was in the orphanage as a kid, now imagine that the guy you always admired says to you, “you're gonna die alone at Arkham” just like his mother did and no one cared. He doesn't want that, he wants to be remembered. He doesn't want to end up like his mother- alone and mentally ill.

He makes funny jokes in the movie! He's so goofy!!!!

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HIM BEING A BIG BOY?!!!! CHUBBY RIDDLER SUPREMACY!!!!!

And please he has the same bad habits as Arkhamverse Riddler, you cannot hate this version of him if you love Arkham Knight Riddler. He doesn't sleep well because he plays the DETECTIVE role (YES! HE ALSO GOES THERE AND INVESTIGATES- or else how tf would he have evidence of all the corruption and know all that information?) and claims that Einstein only took naps. He doesnt eat well. His lastname is Nashton (a reminder that is canon that Arkhamverse Riddler had the same lastname before changing it to Nygma). And in this page called "nigma. org" is well known and ppl call him a genius, which suggests that we will soon see how he calls himself E. Nygma.

And yes, he is also a little bastard insufferable, and if you dont think so, then I guess we didnt watch the same movie.

Either he’d brush it off as an odd quirk or he’d eventually get annoyed and would snap

“Please stop Love, I can’t do this anymore. Its fucking annoying n’ I’m done, you need to top meowing you aren’t a cat…”

Or “Why are you meowing love? Oh it’s a what?”

Then he’d be chill kinda and would accept it more or less

Just don’t do repetitive vocal stims around him when he is pissed/frustrated or he will get pissy. 

Ghost -

“Luvie, did you get a cat?” or “Why are you meowing…?”

He would also think there was a cat in the house until he figured out it was you. 

Or He’d know it was you instantly.

He’d think it was really weird and would probably mock you for it at some point 

He’d definitely rant to the 141 about how ridiculous it was after a two week long leave.

He normally wouldn’t mention a partner but he was so fed up he couldn’t help it

He would be more likely to blow up on you and break up.

He has a hard time with the repetitive phrases/actions and knows it’s best if you both break up

He would be like “Okay” and move on. It depends on what stage you meet him in. I think during retirement he’d be more able to accept it or deal with it than during his emo arch.

Clinten:

This funny man, often posing in mirrors in all angles to look just right and re-adjusting his tie and using way to much hair gel.

Don't get him wrong though he's just as silly as caroline, he just wants to look nice.

Taco night HIS NIGHT don't forget that. Often weirdly replacing his lettuce with chopped carrots instead.

Caroline and him often hold hands everywhere that's his best friend ever.

Selective mutism and would rather point you into a direction than talk, and talk to the cits and rarely guests.

Unlike Caroline who likes to distract patients as hold they're hand often times. Clinten helps just by being there and keeping g0z on track. His sunflower was given by caroline.

After the electric chair shock he is often disoriented and caroline often helps him. I personally cannot decide if he is selectively mute or he has lost his vocal cords from the electric chair.

His scars came from him early on in the circus in the sky not being under father's sun influence going insane in his own mind and scratching at himself.

Father sun CURED him with the bunny mask and made him lose his insanity and became back to normal.

No longer wanting to scratch as his face but instead at times pull on his ears as a stim angry or happy. usually holding his ears down and sitting down when upset.

I think clinten is ageless, because he is in theory a halication of caroline. So he could be in his 1000th's like caroline or can be be in his 200ths but regardless he is an adult.

caroline and clinten will often look at each other pupiled dilated when they see somebody they both like usually this is because of seeing their friends or a new guest who they find interest in.

Clinten wears glasses but ops to wear contacts but has some very nice glasses and g0z sees him with them from time to time and likes them. Caroline bough glasses purple ones to match and make him more confident.

Clinten mainly with Caroline will randomly bring her flowers and wrap bouquets of flowers in the bows Caroline made for him.

And they throw chocolates at each other when their annoyed with each other like wrapped chocolate which the other eats. It's their way of apologizing.

Clinten is a big book reader and just sits for hours in g0z office over time just reading all the books in there and stays their late at night. Often g0z sees him there and carries him out to his/Caroline's house. G0z often buys new books to help him lose that interest

I honestly think that father sun blessed caroline with clinten who is just the person she is inside/wants to be, and made him to keep her company. She often freaks out completely is she doesn't see clinten for a long period of time, usually causing a meltdown or a major run frantic around the circus looking for him. most times hes either in g0z office or hes out talking with the other cits.

This is incoherent neurodivergent slop because I had a PTSD episode and my soul is screaming at me to wrote about stims— then it kinda devolved into sad memory lane, so, read at your own risk

TW: Neglect, and implied abuse.

When I'm stressed, *all* of my stims come out in such aggressive force all at once, it's crazy I never noticed growing up.

I do this finger-bouncing thing where I press all my fingertips together and tap them repeatedly, like all together. It's probably one of the stims I only use circumstantially. I have bad anxiety around my stepfather, so I am in constant fidget mode.

When I sit, I sway my whole body side to side, I've always done it, but only recently clocked it as a coping mechanism for my anxiety.

I usually echo sounds I hear internally, making little tunes out of the rhythms of people's vocal mannerisms— i eill repeat *endlessly* and entirely on autopilot. I will do this for the *entirety* of a song, even if i only heard it briefly at a store, like there's constant noise when I'm just idling even in the background of my internal thoughts.

I also can't help but echo when I find things funny, but it's different because I do that *verbally*.

I pick and prod and itch if I'm passively doing things. Sitting still? Not in the question. Never. I always thought it was uncomfortable chairs— it's *not* I will pretzel fold my entire body and say, "perfect."

Anxiety? Pfft, *heat sensitive*. Too warm? Wake up to a freshly baked panic attack!

Oh, and REGRESSIVE COPING MECHANISMS? I really spent all my life thinking it was a choice? I mean, I assumed a LOT of my stims and whatnot were choices because my primary doctor told me throughout my life that I was "too efficient at communicating my needs" to have autism.

Ehem, what she *meant* however was that I was *anxiously* hyper-fixated on my physical health and extremely insecure about sounding stupid because of my household that I became *infatuated* with English super early.

I stuttered a LOT and used to hum as a stim, until getting barked at about it once and becoming mostly nonverbal throughout my childhood— not incapable, just, refused. Notable distinction.

My father remembers me as being "so quiet he would have to look for me to make sure I was home" because I'd scamper off and hide if someone was too loud or came too close to my room.

I remember hiding away as I played with toys or only playing in my head. Never part of, but telling the story. Never sharing it aloud, just, silently, to myself.

I tend to overcompensate for that now, with my strange fixation on self-inserts in my writing. Funny how that all works out lol

Never played with other kids, just, hid alone and read, but not really. I'd sit with a book open, diving deep into a daydream I couldn't be shaken out of.

I lived in my head for so long, most of that time is blurry, and when it isn't, it's such a strange, unreal memory.

My living world never felt quite as real as the one in my head.

I was a witness or a victim of it, but I never felt I played a role. Even as a victim, I remember being an observer.

codeflippa doesn't really communicate through normal talking, the same way juanaflippa was selectively mute and mainly communicates through a notebook (that mariana made with her. mariana and flippa went out to kill some cows for leather and on their trip over to foolish's house they stole some sugar cane to make paper and mariana binded it all together with a custom made pen and patches on the front just for flippa. it now sits in front of her grave/statue at mariana's house) codeflippa communicates through tts or typing. she tried to communicate through a notebook charlie gave her when she first showed up at the house, but she struggled because the code on her arms would glitch and make her shake too much to write legibly so charlie hacked his communicator (the qsmp global chat LMAO) and instead of her sending messages to the server, she could type her words and have them read outloud to whoever needs to hear it. she can talk, but just prefers not to for comfort.

juanaflippa also could talk but preferred not to for the same reasons, but she used to make dragon noises as a stim whenever she was happy ^_^ she chirped and purred and clicked whenever she wanted. most of the time it was really really quiet, her main stims being completely silent. she made tons of noise, but it was all relatively quiter. codeflippa does these same stims, but the code has really obviously spread to her tongue and she beeps and makes janky, loud dial-up noises and twitches as stims much more than juanaflippa. codeflippa's chirps sound corrupted, nearly like she's in pain. Charlie used to mimic flippas stim noises (kinda like how you try to perfectly match the way a cat meows at you) and once codeflippa came around it became much more difficult to do accurately. he tried to convince himself once the code spread up to his tongue that the reason his voice sounded corrupted was because he's finally gotten so good at mimicking codeflippa's stims, but he was always confused if it hurt this much for her or if his vocal chords just weren't used to it. he chalked it up to him not being used to it yet, and as the code infection got worse through his whole body the pain went away! instead of sharp pain, it was just pins and needles whenever he mimicked the way she sounded ^_^

i also think juanaflippa's original clothes were made by charlie at first, but when mariana was taking care of her he would rip apart his own clothes that he grew out of and dye the fabrics new colors and sew them back together for juanaflippa. she had sensory issues with the way most of the free federation clothes fit and felt on her scales and skin, AND she needed to have a custom hole in the skirts for her tail, so mariana would sew his old worn down (and very very comfortable/comforting to flippa) clothes into new skirts or shirts for her. after flippa died, charlie wanted that bonding experience and criticized mariana for never teaching him so he could help. roier set both of them up so mariana was able to teach charlie and charlie hated it the whole time, but it meant he was able to see his bitch (pretty) fucking wife for a bit longer to take away the pain of their isolation after flippas death. charlie never thought he would need that skill ever again, until codeflippa showed up and needed custom made clothes because her tail didn't work with most skirts, and her code gave her intense sensory issues with most pants and shirts charlie stole from the federation for her. he ripped up his fabrics and dyed them to makes skirts for her, and just like flippa she wanted to wear one of his oversized "so yeah, I'm a gamer" shirts for comfort instead of her own. charlie could never say no to her, so instead of making her a custom one just for her, he found his favorite of those shirts (he has like 20 like a cartoon character LMAOOO) and gave it to her after he had painted over the hearts on the shirt so they had pieces of code on them (he did the same to all the shirts so they would match and she wouldn't feel alone)

Had a Worldbuilding idea and wanted to share (technically it's not entirely new, but I've somwhat solidified it better).

Every sprunk has their own special sound due to a specific structure in their respiratory system, lets call it the harmonic box. Depending on genetics this can be classified in one of 4 ways.

Beats: The harmonic box is prone to spasms, causing emphasis to be placed on certain syllables. Everyone's pattern is different but it usually follows a beat counter in some way.

Effects: The harmonic box causes certain vocal tics that are prominent throughout speech. They can be similar to vocal stimming (Like with Brud and OWAKCX) but often it's an ambient hum.

Melodies: The rarest type because it only comes about due to a defect causing the harmonic box and voice box to fuse. This leads to the voice having a genetic voice filter so to say.

Vocal: The harmonic box causes the voice to almost be in a constant sing-song tone. Almost stilted in a way.

The effect of this ends up being that musical cues are more heavily relied on to tell how someone is feeling. So when that harmonic box doesn't work, is missing, or is damaged, it can be impossible for people to read them. This is referred to Harmonic Dissonance, or HD for short. It leads to the speaking voice either being monotone or nonexistent. Many of the afflicted get some kind of assistive device or sort that, in a sense, helps communication, although this is relegated to more nonverbal communication unless you're like Garnold and just completely rebuilt your voice from scratch. Other people, like Wenda, forgoe them entirely.

A common assumption is that people with HD have naturally muted color or are just sad and need cheering up. This is absolutely untrue, and the stereotypes came about due to an insanely popular kid's show that practically everyone was raised on or at least had heard of using HD as a way to say "this person needs cheering up!" Many other studios followed suit because it was overly easy to potray it like this. Overtime this potrayal became the go to for any character even implied to have HD

The main fandom I'm in is Warrior Cats, other fandoms I'm in are Invader Zim, Hazbin Hotel, Regretevator, FNaF, and MLP. This blog was originally for Welcome Home, but I got really into Invader Zim, so expect most of the content I’m posting on here currently to relate to that.

The programs I use vary, but I mainly use ProCreate. Otherwise, for digital programs, I use Magma, FireAlpaca, MS Paint, TuxPaint-- basically anything you can draw with. I also draw traditionally quite a lot, and-- on occasion, if I have enough motivation-- I sculpt characters out of clay!
