Finnick Odair x fem!victor!reader who are constantly introduced to each other [1.2k words]
CW: people trying to introduce Finnick and reader, Capitol behaviours (body modification, eating-purging-eating, no sense of propriety), fluff, a surprise
You’d come to expect a lot of things to happen when attending a party in the Capitol.
There would be people dressed to varying levels of near insanity. There would be people literally eating until they were sick, then forcing themselves to be sick so that they could continue eating. There would be people approaching you, asking you questions, and running their hands over your clothes or hair or jewelry or body as though having seen the most traumatic moments of your life aired on TV from the safety of their homes made you friends.
And there would always be people trying to introduce you to or set you up with their favourite victor; the Capitol’s darling.
“There you are, darling!” A rather reptilian looking woman you knew to go by Komoda greeted you as she approached; arm aggressively interlocked with another’s who didn’t appear to be all that willing to be there. “There’s someone I’d like to introduce you to.”
You plastered on your show time smile and offered your hand to Capitol Darling Finnick Odair who accepted it readily, bowing his head slightly as he met your gaze.
“Lovely evening, isn’t it?”
“It always is in the Capitol.” You volleyed, smiling back over to the Capitol citizen who seemed very excited to be seeing two of her favourite victors intermingling. “Finnick and I have met a few times, actually.”
Komoda seemed rather bemused at the fact that the two of you had met and not immediately jumped each other's bones. “Oh… oh! Really?”
You hummed in the affirmative.
“Every year when we mentor new tributes.” Finnick explained.
Komoda tried to laugh. “Well, I just think that the two of you would get on rather well.”
“We get on fine.” You continued, feigning ignorance.
“The two of you would make a very handsome couple!” One of her friend’s chimed in, earning him nods of approval from the quickly forming group of spectators.
“Well, looks aren’t everything, are they?” You tried, and a few of the more…altered individuals seemed rather perplexed at the thought. “The two of us might not have anything in common.”
“That’s very true.” Finnick agreed. “Let’s see; how do you feel about the beach?”
“Too much sand; I’m shaking it out of everything I own for far too long afterwards. What’s your favourite pastime?”
“Swimming.” He answered.
“I never learned how.” You continued with pursed lips. “Least favourite season?”
“Winter. What’s your favourite holiday?”
“Christmas.”
Finnick hummed in displeasure before continuing. “Favourite animal?”
“Cats. Yours?”
“Dogs.”
You hummed in displeasure. “How do you feel about white chocolate?”
“Love it.” He replied easily; you scrunched your nose at him before he carried on. “What’s a dealbreaker for you?”
“People who like white chocolate.”
He pressed his lips into a flat line and nodded his head in understanding. “Very fair.”
You looked back over at Komoda and her friends to see them all gaping at the two of you.
“Sorry to disappoint, folks.” Finnick apologized with a shrug of his shoulder. “It’s apparently just not meant to be.”
“But…” Komoda started, looking rather crestfallen. “I…I was so sure!”
“You’re not the first to try to set us up.” You placated, placing a gentle hand over the scale-like jewels on the shoulder of her gown. “You probably won’t be the last, either.”
“Maybe the 29th time will be the charm, hm?” Finnick offered you with a wink, causing you to roll your eyes at him.
“Don’t hold your breath, Odair.”
“I can hold my breath for a very long time, sweetheart; I’m a world class swimmer, afterall.”
“Oh, you’re something alright.” You laughed as you turned to walk away, deciding then to begin your rounds of goodbyes before heading back to your suite.
You held the towel to your face for a few seconds, just taking a moment to breathe and enjoy the quiet, warmth, and serenity of your post-party ritual.
You were just about to pull the towel away when you felt gentle hands slide around your waist before you were being embraced between two strong arms.
“Long night?” He murmured into your shoulder before pressing a kiss to it.
You hummed in agreement and pulled the towel away from your face, smiling at Finnick in the reflection of the mirror.
“It always is in the Capitol.” You replied.
He offered you a knowing smile before pressing another kiss to your shoulder.
“Missed you.” He said before reaching around you to grab some makeup wipes to begin removing the work his own stylists put into his appearance tonight. “Anything interesting happen?”
You hummed noncommittally as you smoothed cream over your skin. “Not really. Someone tried setting me up with this guy again.”
“Really?” Finnick asked, feigning intrigue. “Was it a match made in heaven?”
You made a so-so sound. “He was pretty cute,” you allowed, “but I don’t know if it would work.”
“No?”
“No. I mean, for one, he didn’t start drooling the second he saw me. Huge red flag I think.”
With that, Finnick theatrically slammed his hand down on the countertop and levelled you with a disbelieving look. “You mean to tell me that he didn’t immediately fall to his knees in worship?”
“No!”
Finnick shook his head; simply aghast. “You can do so much better, honey.”
Your smile turned soft as you watched him lather some of his face wash between his hands before bringing them to his face. “I think so too.”
By the time he was done with washing his face, you were sitting on the counter with Finnick standing between your legs as you massaged some moisturizer into his skin.
“They don’t know what you deserve anyway.” Finnick states suddenly.
Your brows scrunched in confusion. “Who doesn’t?”
“The Capitol people; they don’t know what kind of partner you deserve.”
You stayed quiet as you finished working the product into his skin, pressing a kiss to his lips to alert him to the fact that you were finished. You felt rather shy when he opened his eyes and you found yourself pinned beneath his sea green gaze.
“They’d be sorely mistaken if they thought Capitol Darling Finnick Odair was all you deserved.”
You smiled softly at him before pressing another softer, lingering kiss to his lips.
“I’m rather fond of this Finnick Odair.”
You relished in the slight pink dusting of his cheeks as his smile grew wider before he pulled you in, cradling you to his chest.
You’d come to expect a lot of things to happen when attending a party in the Capitol.
It would take your stylists three hours to prep you for the party. It would take you forty minutes to disassemble yourself after the party. The outfits and jewelry you wore would cost more than most District families saw in years.
And there would always be people trying to introduce you to or set you up with their favourite victor; the Capitol’s darling.
The best part was that no one knew you and Finnick Odair have actually been dating behind closed doors for four years now.

His lack of acknowledgment of his words or even her own shock seemed to make her second guess herself. After all, she had been wrong before. He had said he loved her in the bath earlier but meant it in the context of the story they were spinning. She looked away but said nothing more about the dress as he talked about it further. She was clearly listening but her might was turning over several thoughts just then.
He caught the slight change in her face and she glanced away. “Several things. I’ll tell you as you brush my hair?” And once he had gathered a brush and started, Sasuga felt her shoulders relax. She opened her mouth to say something then shut it and seemed to pick a different way to start. “I was asked earlier why I trust you. Normally I might get why I’d be asked that but..it was by one of your wolves and it caught me off guard and I’m still trying ta figure out why sh- they asked it at all.” She huffed, seemed actually a little annoyed by it the more she thought about it. “And why did ya leave the room? Ya didn’t come back with anything?” She asked and glanced back at him slightly. “A-and did you mean ta say it this time?” This last question sounded hesitant and vulnerable, already guessing the answer and afraid to have it confirmed.
Blood and Moonlight
Sasuga woke in what was at first an unfamiliar area but as she blinked fully awake she realized it was their closet that Coyote had decorated for them. She smiled and took a careful kiss from her mate who was still sound asleep next to her. It really had been an amazing night with the family and then with her husband. As she slipped from his arms, she took a moment to look at her reflection in the mirror, her fingers dancing over the fresh marks on her neck and hips. She couldn't have asked for anything more from the night and it was with some reluctance that she dressed. She picked out a pair of warm leggings and a short little skirt to pull over them with some knee high boots and a thick sweater. She slipped from the closet and moved to the bathroom to comb her hair and brush her teeth and get ready for the big day ahead. She gave a stretch and headed downstairs only to find a familiar face waiting for her. "Raphael..." she smiled and moved to greet him with a hug. "I see you are still alive." she smirked. "Want some tea? Coffee?"

Princess
「 Scenario smut - Yeseo x Male Reader 」
A/N: This is just pure BFH. Yeseo is just... yeah, many of you know it.
So no proofreading and edits at all. The other fic is still ongoing by the way. Happy Holidays to all!
~~~
It was a warm heat; a pair of thick flesh residing on your own, eyes glued to yours while Yeseo removes her cashmere crop top. A sight to behold—her silky hair dragged up by the motion. Perky, aroused tits reaching its perfect state. Oh, oh, she knows you want ‘em but she doesn't how you crave for those buds. Lastly, her intoxicating scent mixing into bloodstream, flowing at the right places. You can’t wait, but you have to. Being needy would be the last thing you’d show to this princess.
“Fuck, you’re making me crazy, princess,” you remarked, almost whispering the words with your face just centimeters away from her.
She smiled. Just smiled. As if she knew, and she does. Yeseo knows how to be minimalistic—low effort but extraordinary results. “And here too,” she replied, unzipping your pants to release her favorite toy from its constraints.
“Did this ‘good boy’ missed me?” she asked, an unnecessary question that somehow displayed her power over you.
“Why don’t you sit on it to know the answer, princess?” you responded, making sure she won’t have her way. Yeseo’s too dangerous. Especially when she’s fired up. And right now, the fire within her burns with such intensity that you’d never dare to put out. Only she can do it, by satisfying her wants.
“Don’t move an inch. Let me do it my way. Your princess’ way.”
Yeseo reached beneath her skirt, undoubtedly pushing her panties to the side to reveal her awaiting wet and dripping pussy. She grabs your already raging shaft and aligns it with her sweet entrance.
With a slow and steady movement, Yeseo patiently drops herself with your cock. Eating those inches with her warm and slick walls.
“Fuck...,” you grunted, shutting your eyes as you almost lift your head up to conceal the pleasure rapidly consuming your entire body.
“So big... so warm... all for me,” Yeseo noted in full ecstasy. She reached for your lips with hers to initiate a quick make out with her tongue invading yours in an instant.
In doing so, that sinful body of hers starts to grind on that small couch you have. Muffled moans became a series of vibrations in your mouth. Your hands can’t stay idle. They wander all over her upper torso, all those nerves in your fingertips doing its job to feel her soft and delicate skin.
Yeseo breaks the kiss. “Oh, oh- ah, yes! Ah, fuck! So deep!”
“Moan for me, princess. Tell me how you feel good by riding my dick. Let me hear it.”
“Yours is the best! Ah- I- I can’t stop! Make me cum with your huge cock! Oh, God!”
“So- so tight! Damn it!”
Her pace continues to rise with each second passing. She’s not like this before. Maybe Yeseo’s getting used to it. Should you be glad? Don’t know for sure. But the build up inside your groin can’t be ignored. Her tightness also is killing you. She’s close, too.
“Cumming for me, princess?”
“Ye- yes! Just a bit more! Fuck! I’m close!”
“Good, cum with that slutty pussy of yours. Take all my cum!” you exclaimed.
“Breed me! Please, claim my pussy! Claim it till it's full of cum!”
You didn’t move a bit the entire time. All of the work was from Yeseo. She wanted it. You just want her to experience things. Explore. Figure what works for her and what isn’t. She insisted to all of this. It’s a fact that makes you less guilty and not to think about it too much. You had a good time and the same goes for her. And that time tonight is about to reach its conclusion—pleasurable conclusion.
“Yeseo, I’m cumming!”
“Me too, I’m cumming! Don't hold back!”
“It’s coming! Ah!”
There it is, the climax. Ropes and ropes of semen filled Yeseo’s walls. Her walls convulses as she reached the promised land but also making sure not a drop of cum will escape from her cunt.
The highs from the sex slowly declines, and both of you came back to your senses.
“Amazing.”
Catching her breatg and drenched in sweat, Yeseo happily responded biting her lower lip, “Yeah, you’re the fucking best.”
( short fic ) 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓
pairing : fwb!quinn x fem!reader wc. 1.3k
genre : fluff(?) angst(?) quinn and reader have too many thoughts in their heads no warnings really
summary : you and quinn navigate the blurred lines of what you have going on, each secretly wondering if there’s more between you than just physical connection
quinn sat alone in his dark apartment, the hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen the only sound cutting through the stillness. his phone rested in his palm, the soft glow from the screen illuminating his face as his thumb hovered over a single contact.
he didn’t know why he felt this way tonight. maybe it was the silence, or the ache that came with sitting in a space that no longer felt like home. his teammates had plans, the usual banter and beers, but he’d turned it down, muttering some halfhearted excuse. the truth was, he didn’t feel like being around anyone who’d ask too many questions.
no one except you.
are you up?
he hit send and dropped the phone onto the couch cushion beside him, holding his breath like he was waiting for something that might not come.
it was late—later than a reasonable hour to be texting someone you weren’t technically dating. “friends” didn’t fit either. friends didn’t hold each other the way you did when the lights were off. friends didn’t seek comfort in the warmth of someone else’s bed after long, lonely nights.
a few minutes passed. quinn exhaled, leaning back against the couch, and just as his phone buzzed, his heart jumped.
y/n : yeah, i’m up. you okay?
he hesitated for a moment, fingers ghosting over the screen. he didn’t want to say too much. this thing between you didn’t have boundaries, but it had unspoken rules. don’t ask too much. don’t admit too much. don’t be too honest.
can i come over?
the typing bubbles appeared and disappeared once, twice. he imagined you sitting there, curled up in the oversized sweater you liked to sleep in, weighing the pros and cons of letting him in. finally, your answer came.
y/n : yeah. door’s open
⋆˙⟡
when he showed up at your door, hands tucked into the pockets of his hoodie, his hair damp from a quick shower, you couldn’t help but smile faintly. it was late—too late for casual hangouts—but you didn’t mind. you hadn’t been able to shake your own restlessness, and quinn’s presence felt like a solution to a problem neither of you had named.
“hey,” you said softly, stepping aside to let him in.
“hey.” he shrugged out of his jacket and toed off his sneakers. there was an easy familiarity to his movements, like he’d done this a hundred times before. and he had.
the two of you ended up on your couch, the same couch that had seen more than a few nights like this one. you handed him a glass of water, taking a sip from your own as you curled your legs beneath you. the silence was comfortable, but it felt heavier tonight, like something unsaid hung between you.
“you okay?” you asked eventually, looking at him through the soft glow of the lamp on your side table.
quinn glanced at you, the muscles in his jaw working like he was debating whether to tell the truth. “yeah. just didn’t feel like being alone tonight.”
your heart tugged at his honesty. “me either,” you admitted, your voice quiet.
that seemed to catch his attention. he turned to face you a little more, resting his arm along the back of the couch. “why’s that?”
you shrugged, swirling the water in your glass. “i don’t know. i think i get in my own head when it’s this quiet. makes me think about… things.”
“what kinds of things?”
“things i’m not sure i want to talk about.” you shot him a small, teasing smile to lighten the weight of the conversation. “what about you?”
he didn’t smile back—not fully. “probably the same.”
and just like that, the air between you changed. it wasn’t the usual easy companionship, the stolen moments of closeness that you had both become so used to. tonight felt different, and you weren’t sure how to handle that.
“do you ever think about…” quinn trailed off, his voice low and unsure.
“think about what?”
he shifted a little, looking at his hands. “where this is going. us, i mean.”
your heart skipped a beat. “quinn…”
“i’m not saying i want to mess this up,” he cut in quickly, like he needed to get the words out before he lost his nerve. “i just—i think about it sometimes. what it would be like if we tried to be more than… this.”
you stared at him, your pulse racing in your ears. this—whatever “this” was—had worked because it was easy. there were no strings, no expectations, just you and quinn finding comfort in each other when you needed it most. but now, he was opening a door you weren’t sure you were ready to walk through.
“do you want that?” you asked softly, carefully.
quinn ran a hand through his hair, letting out a long breath. “i don’t know. maybe. i just—” he looked at you then, really looked at you, and the honesty in his eyes made your chest ache. “i like being around you. not just like this. i like talking to you and… knowing you’re here. i don’t want to lose that.”
you swallowed, trying to ignore the way your throat tightened at his words. “i feel the same way,” you admitted.
“yeah?”
“yeah.”
the two of you sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the conversation settling between you. it was terrifying to admit what you were both feeling—to acknowledge that maybe this thing you had wasn’t as casual as you’d pretended it was.
quinn shifted closer, his knee brushing against yours as he leaned back into the couch. “you don’t have to answer right now. i just… i wanted you to know.”
you looked at him, at the way his brows furrowed in that familiar way they always did when he was thinking too hard about something. you’d seen him like this before—vulnerable and quiet—but tonight, it hit you differently. maybe because you felt the same way.
“okay,” you said softly, reaching out to place your hand on his arm. “thank you for telling me.”
he nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as his shoulders relaxed slightly. then, you shifted closer, your body leaning gently against his. “you don’t have to leave tonight if you don’t want to.”
it wasn’t an offer you usually made. you didn’t stay. it was an unspoken rule. but something in the way you said it—soft, tentative—made quinn’s heart skip a beat.
“you sure?” he asked, searching your face.
you smiled faintly. “yeah. i think i’d like it if you stayed.”
quinn let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding, a quiet “okay” falling from his lips. he shifted so his arm could wrap around your shoulders, pulling you close. your head rested against his chest, and for the first time in a long time, the silence didn’t feel so loud.
you stayed like that for a while—two lonely people finding solace in each other’s presence. quinn could feel himself relaxing, his eyes starting to drift shut as he breathed you in.
the admission hung in the air between the two of you, fragile but undeniable. quinn felt something shift inside him, like a door cracking open. maybe tonight wasn’t just another lonely night. maybe it was the start of something more.
you smiled—a real one this time, not the tired version you’d worn earlier—and settled back against his chest. he held you tighter, pressing a kiss to the top of your head as his eyes slipped closed.
there was still so much left unsaid, but for now, this was enough. almost something, but not quite.
and maybe that was okay. for tonight.
Gentleman
Summary: You get drunk when trying to avoid your number one enemy - George Russell.
Warnings: alcohol, throwing up, enemies to lovers
A/N: I saw this picture of George just leaning against the railing and I got an idea for this little thing. Enjoy!
Please don’t use my writings without my permission! Pictures found on Pinterest.
———
Since you got on that goddamn yacht of Toto’s, for the summer party, your head was spinning like crazy, because you somehow forgot about eating the food from the catering around the deck and you went straight for gin and tonic. Why? Good question. And only right answer - George Russell.
You were enemies since the day one. Something about him didn’t sit right with you and you just spat venom whenever he was around.
However, you were a mess and it was only the beginning of the night. Sipping your maybe fifth drink, you felt tipsy and dizzy. Avoiding George entire evening, you nearly got yourself over the railing of the yacht, when your mind just shut down in particular moment and you didn’t know what was happening with you.
Truth was that someone saved you from your near fall over the railing and that someone was George. He was in his right mind, barely drunk, only having one drink himself through the afternoon and the evening. When he noticed how drunk you actually were, with a sigh, he took you in his arms, getting to his cabin.
Your body was limp, but you let out a groan of discomfort and sounds of gags, indicating that you’re about to throw up. He quickly got you to the toilet in the bathroom, holding your head above it, so you could unconsciously vomit all the alcohol you drank. Frowning, he tried to hold you still, to not hurt you and even if he was disgusted, he made sure you’re alright.
Just like that you threw up nearly three times, every time he carried you to the small bathroom in the cabin, helping you.
It was about 2AM when your body stopped shaking, your breaths steadied and you nuzzled more into the silk sheets of his bed, slight breeze caressing your cheeks from the open window.
George sat beside you, watching over you, not able to catch his sleep, because he was worried. He was confused by his feelings, not understanding what was going on in his mind. He could left you at the deck, to your own mess, but he didn’t do it. And this worry washing over him, to make you feel good and not hurt… he was supposed to hate you, but he wasn’t even close to that.
Morning light creeping through the balcony window of the cabin hit your eyes and you blinked a few times, trying to focus on your surroundings. Your head was thumping wildly with pain, your body sore, but your stomach was weirdly in peace.
“I see you’re awake.”
The deep rumble of a voice made you look at the small balcony of the cabin. Your sight was still hazy, but you knew that voice well.
“George…?”
He just stood there, leaning against the railing, smiling softly, not his usual smugness.
“Yeah, it’s me.”
You groaned, embarrassed as hell.
“What happened?”
George walked over the bed, taking a seat next to you, taking in your messy appearance.
“You drank yourself to oblivion, nearly falling over from the deck to the ocean. I was around to catch you and I carried you here. You threw up like crazy. I took care of you.”
He spoke with calmness in his voice, sighing softly, worry lacing his eyes again.
Confused and tired, you looked up at him.
“Thank you.”
It was all you could muster up, your mind numb, not able to make any hateful remarks like usual.
What surprised you was his hand caressing your cheek softly, brushing your hair off your face. There was a silence between you, unspoken feelings hanging in the air.
“You actually made me mad. Your reckless behaviour. I was so worried last night.”
Your eyes widened slightly, wheels running in your head, trying to understand. But he continued his speech.
“From that time you arrived here on the yacht, you were avoiding me, drinking like an idiot, not eating any piece of meal. I wanted to throw some insults at you, make you annoyed again, but… when I saw you so desperate and your body shutting off.. it was too much.”
Hiding your face in the silky pillow, you felt bad. There wasn’t any way to talk yourself out of it.
“I’m sorry.. I don’t know that got into me, but thought of you near me, I wanted to be numb. Because…”
You suddenly stopped talking, feeling the lump in your throat. His face twisted in frown, still caressing your cheek.
“Because?”
Lifting your gaze towards him, locking your eyes with his mesmerising ocean blue, made your breath hitch.
“Because I don’t hate you, George. I actually… I very much like you.”
He could feel the hotness of your cheek under his palm, his face not surprised, he smiled widely. His own heart fluttering at your confession, because now he knew that his own mind was right about what he felt towards you.
“Well… I don’t hate you also. It’s very hard to do so with that pretty face of yours and your feisty attitude. I’m tempted by you. Every time you speak to me, calling me an asshole of the grid, it drives me closer to you.”
Your chuckle echoed through the cabin, you couldn’t believe that he was beside you, saying those words about liking you.
“I truly didn’t expect this, Russell..”
His face darkened a little, his hand now running through the strands of your messy hair.
“You don’t want to call me that.”
“What?”
Your face full of confusion.
“Russell.”
“Why so?” You tried to be a tease, but your thumping head quickly put you back in your place.
“Because it drives me crazy, when you call me that. And you’re not in shape to endure what I would do to you..”
His voice was laced with lust, his lips curled in cocky smirk, his face close to her, their breaths mingling together.
“Um… okay.” You whispered, voice shaky.
Gently patting your cheek, he backed off from you, clearly satisfied by your peaceful demeanour.
“I’ll go fetch you something for breakfast, you need to nurture yourself after your last night escapade, and we can talk after that. Before I lay my hands on you in the way I would like to, I’ll take you on nice date first. Because I’m a gentleman, of course.”
He chuckled and his head was hit by the pillow you threw at him with your words of how he’s an absolute asshole.
merry christmas, merry christmas (but i think i’ll miss this one this year)
Words: 1907
Summary: Chloe isn’t going home for Christmas, and her aim is to make it to the 25th without the Bellas finding out.
Notes: Merry Pitchmas @psychoteacher90, I’m your secret santa! So, confession time - I misread the initial message and thought you’d said you like a little angst sprinkled in with your fluff, but after I re-read it last night I realised it said you could tolerate it… I hope you like this anyway, and next year I’m definitely going to read the message more than once 🙈
Read on AO3
@merry-pitchmas
-
“Hey, when are you going home for Christmas?”
The question caught Chloe off guard. Not because she wasn’t expecting it, she just wasn’t expecting it so early into December.
She thought she’d have more time to come up with an answer. A lie that wouldn’t result in further questions.
But she didn’t get that time. Beca asked her on the first weekend of December while eating toast with one hand and scrolling through her phone with the other.
“Oh, I dunno yet,” Chloe replied, trying to sound casual. “Why?”
Beca shrugged. “Just wondering.”
Chloe thought about maybe telling her the truth. The Bellas’ house was quiet for once, with the rest of the girls either still in bed, or out, or home for the weekend.
Now would be as good a time as any.
She opened her mouth to speak but shut it just as quickly.
No, not now.
Besides, she didn’t usually go home until a few days before Christmas Eve. Anything could happen between now and then.
-
Beca asked again a few weeks later, a scowl on her face as she squinted at her phone.
“Do you know when you’re leaving for Christmas yet?” She asked. “I’m trying to organise the Bella’s Christmas party, and no one is free on the same night. Since when were a capella nerds so popular?”
Chloe couldn’t help but smile and roll her eyes as she pulled Beca’s phone out of her hand.
“You’ll give yourself a headache,” she said, looking down at their shared calendar. Chloe had completely forgotten all about their Christmas party, which was especially surprising since she was the one who had organised it for the past few years.
It was true, there was no night that was free. Each square ticking down to December 25th contained a coloured dot representing at least one of the Bellas and their plan for that day.
Chloe noticed her own baby blue dot was the only one absent. There were no Christmas market trips, or festive nights out with classmates, or neighbourhood carolling.
She hadn’t been feeling particularly Christmassy this year.
“I guess we just skip it this year,” Chloe said, handing Beca back her phone.
Beca raised her eyebrows. “Skip it?”
Chloe shrugged. “I don’t see any other option, everyone is busy.”
Beca shook her head and looked back at her phone. “You love the Christmas party. I’ll figure it out. Even if we have it at 2 pm on a Tuesday.”
“I wouldn’t stress about it,” Chloe said, standing up from the sofa and grabbing their dishes from the coffee table. “It isn’t important.”
“You didn’t answer my question by the way,” Beca asked, looking up from her phone as Chloe stood. “When are you going to your parents?”
I’m not.
“I don’t know yet.”
-
Their Christmas party never happened, but Chloe didn’t notice. Or, at least, she pretended not to.
She had been trying to spend the majority of her December trying to pretend that the holiday didn’t exist.
When the Bellas had decorated the tree, Chloe had been hiding in the library.
When they made gingerbread houses, she went to the gym.
When they got drunk on Amy’s mulled wine, she’d been studying in her room, ignoring Beca’s repeated attempts to get her to join them.
For the amount of time Chloe had spent trying to avoid Christmas, Beca had spent double trying to get her involved.
Chloe couldn’t blame her, she knew she wasn’t herself, but she still couldn’t bring herself to tell Beca the truth.
It would start a much bigger conversation that Chloe wasn’t ready for. One she’d never intended on having in the first place.
She kept it buried and tried to avoid Beca as much as she could for the next couple of days.
-
“Are you sure you don’t need a ride to the airport?” Beca asked on the 23rd.
“I’m sure,” Chloe said. “You were supposed to leave for your Dad’s like 20 minutes ago, you’ll be late.”
Beca looked at her watch but still dithered. “You’ll text me when you land?”
“Yes,” Chloe said. “Get out of here already.”
“Jeez, Merry Christmas to you too,” Beca said, giving Chloe a hug.
“Merry Christmas,” Chloe replied, trying not to hold on too tightly.
She needed Beca to leave, because if she didn’t she might cry.
“See you next year, I guess,” Beca said, ending their hug and grabbing her keys from the counter.
“Drive safe,” Chloe said.
Beca raised a hand in farewell before closing their door behind her.
Chloe’s tears fell quickly after.
She picked up her suitcase and carried it back to her room before dumping out the contents on her floor.
Her plan had worked.
She would make it through Christmas without anyone finding out she’d spent it alone. Without anyone finding out why she’d spent it alone.
-
Later that night there was a knock at the door which Chloe assumed was the pizza she’d ordered.
She had assumed wrong.
Beca was standing on their doorstep, hands shoved into her pockets because she’d forgotten her gloves.
Chloe could only stare back, mouth slightly agape. She swallowed. She could still get out of this.
“Forget your keys or something?”
“You aren’t going to Florida.” It wasn’t a question, and Chloe couldn’t argue. She was standing there in her pyjamas after all. Her hair up in a towel, face scrubbed of makeup. It was hours after her supposed flight was supposed to have taken off.
“What are you doing here?” Chloe asked, her shoulders dropping.
“I could ask you the same question.”
Chloe sighed and stood aside so Beca could come in. “Fine,” she said. “I’m not going to Florida. Your turn to answer.”
Beca tilted her head as if confused. “I came here for you,” she said. “You aren’t spending Christmas on your own.” Again, it wasn’t a question.
“Beca-”
“Look, you’ve been distant and sad since Thanksgiving, and I’m guessing it has something to do with you not going home for Christmas,” Beca said. “And you don’t have to tell me about it if you don’t want to - and I’m assuming you don’t otherwise you’d have said something before now - but just because you aren’t going home, doesn’t mean you have to spend Christmas alone.”
Chloe opened her mouth to speak, but she was cut off by another knock on the door, and this time it was the pizza guy.
“I’m fine,” Chloe said, returning from the door with her pizza. “I have pizza, and trashy movies, and wine. I’ve spent plenty of days by myself before, and this one won’t be any different. It’s just a day, it doesn’t mean anything.”
“I don’t think you believe that,” Beca said. “But, whatever, if you don’t want to spend it with me that’s fine.” Beca pulled out her phone. “But you also have an invite from Jessica to spend it with her family, as well as Ashley, Flo, Legacy, Cynthia Rose, Amy, and Stacie also told me to tell you you could crash her and Aubrey’s Christmas plans. Also Lily offered too, but she also mentioned something about needing a sacrificial lamb, so maybe don’t go to her place.”
Chloe laughed and shook her head, tears burning her eyes.
“Even if you can’t go back to Florida, you can still spend Christmas with your family. Maybe not the one you were born into, but a one that loves you.”
“I don’t want to impose-”
“Chloe I had barely finished typing out my message to them, and all the Bellas were falling over themselves to invite you to their homes. You’re not an imposition.”
“And you?”
“I said I had first dibs,” Beca said. “Plus, this way I’ll get to give you your present. I pulled your name in Secret Santa this year.”
“I didn’t do Secret Santa,” Chloe responded, confused.
“Fine, I pulled Legacy but I have a gift for you anyway.” Beca took hold of Chloe’s hands. “Come on,” she said. “Sheila bought a turkey that’s way too big, my dad needs someone to talk about books with, and I… I want to spend Christmas with you.”
Chloe pulled her teeth across her bottom lip before she eventually nodded her head.
They ate the pizza while Chloe changed and packed, and then they piled into the car for the short drive to Beca’s dad’s house.
“How did you know that I wasn’t going home?”
“Your flight didn’t exist,” Beca replied. “And I just had a feeling that there was something you weren’t telling me. You haven’t been yourself.”
“I know,” Chloe said. “I’m sorry I’ve been so… Well, you know. I just didn’t want to get into it.”
“You still don’t have to if you don’t want to. But I’m here to listen if you do.”
Chloe didn’t respond right away. She rested her head against the passenger window and watched the flurry of snow begin to fall.
“I had a fight with my parents at Thanksgiving,” Chloe said.
Beca turned down the music, but didn’t interrupt.
“Things have been tense with them for a while,” Chloe said. “It all sort of boiled over. They overheard me on the phone to Aubrey… Heard me talk about stuff they didn’t know about me and… Yeah. A lot of yelling later and I was, I mean disowned sounds so serious but I guess… I guess that’s what it was.”
Chloe tried to swallow the lump in her throat but it wouldn’t budge.
She recognised where they were, and knew they’d be entering Beca’s neighbourhood soon. She wanted to pull herself together before then.
“Jesus,” Beca said, her voice just above a whisper. “I mean unless you were confessing to multiple murders on the phone to Aubrey, I don’t-”
“I was telling her about someone I like. About… About a girl I like.”
“Oh,” Beca said, glancing across the car. “They didn’t know?”
“No,” Chloe said.
“I’m really sorry, Chloe. You… You don’t deserve that. And they don’t deserve you.”
Chloe sniffed. “I know.” They pulled into Beca’s drive but neither made a move to get out of the car. Chloe could see the glow of Christmas lights through the window, and she felt a pang of homesickness mixed with a rush of gratitude for Beca. “Thank you for coming back for me.”
“I always will,” Beca said. “I hope you know how loved you are, Chloe.”
They sat in silence for a little while longer before Beca spoke again. “So, there’s a girl you like, huh? Anyone I know?”
Chloe laughed. “You know, considering you were able to figure out I lied about going to Florida, you can be a little oblivious sometimes.”
“It’s that obvious? It can’t be Stacie or Aubrey, or Jessica or Ashley. Is it Emily? Or Cynth-”
Beca’s voice died in her throat as Chloe pressed their lips together.
“Oh.”
“I get it if you don-”
It was Chloe’s turn to be cut off as Beca pulled her back into a kiss.
They didn’t break apart until they heard the front door of the house being pulled open.
Light from the hall spilled out into the driveway.
Beca’s Dad sighed. “Sheila, I owe you 20 bucks!” He shouted before shutting the door again.
Chloe giggled, and Beca felt it in her chest.
“I guess we should go inside,” Chloe said.
“I guess we should. Merry Christmas, Chloe.”
“Merry Christmas, Beca.”
They kissed again.
02 i'll like you - My World
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ Series: reo mikage x f!reader | contains : fluff, angst, jealousy, academic rivals, fake dating
new year, new classes, and reo mikage, a disgrace to your pride and ego
-
The air was still, save for the faint wisp of a breeze that whispered through the schoolyard. A quiet hum of chatter filled the space as you stood there, unnoticed by the others.
“Nagi Seishiro? Oh, you mean that kid with the white hair?”
“The one who’s always sleeping?”
“Yeah. I heard he just games all the time. Kinda a bum, don’t you think?”
Their words floated around you, but your mind raced faster than you could process. You stood frozen, the sting of their judgment hitting harder than expected. Images swirled in your mind, fragments of thoughts and feelings painting a confusing picture.
“…Y/N? Don’t tell me you zoned out again?”
“H-huh? No, no! I didn’t!” you stammered, trying to collect yourself. “I just… didn’t expect him. So, what do you like about him?”
The question slipped out before you could stop it, but deep down, you already knew the answer wasn’t going to be easy to hear. Your heart clenched, the faint ache of something unspoken making it hard to breathe.
“Well…” Yuna began, her cheeks flushing with a rosy hue. “I was at the convenience store, and, um, I didn’t bring enough money. He just paid for my things. He was so nice and generous. I know everyone thinks he’s lazy, but… it’s like love at first sight.”
Your stomach sank, but you pushed it aside. Smiling brightly, you grabbed Yuna’s hand in encouragement. “That’s… That’s wonderful, Yuna!”
“R-really?” she asked, her own smile widening.
“Of course!” you assured her.
Yuna’s excitement only grew. “Well, in that case… do you like anyone? Come on, there has to be someone!”
You laughed nervously, shaking your head. “Pfft, as if. I don’t like anyone.”
“Oh, I know that look,” Yuna teased, her curiosity piqued. “Tell us!”
Mira joined in, grinning slyly. “Come on, spill it!”
Cornered, you blurted out, “Uh… um, it’s Reo Mikage! You know, purple hair, charming…?” He is not charming at all.
Mira raised an eyebrow. “The Mikage kid, huh? Not a bad pick, but, uh, you do realize every girl is after him, right? And Naomi? She’s all over him.”
“Haha… yeah,” you laughed awkwardly, hoping the topic would drop quickly. But the weight of the situation pressed heavily on your chest.
Back in class, you barely paid attention as the teacher droned on. You twirled a pen between your fingers, staring at nothing, stressed about everything—Nagi, Yuna. It was all too much.
“Psst.” A folded note slid onto your desk. Opening it, you read the bold, red-inked scrawl: Y/N, I NEED YOUR HELP!!! – YUNA :P
Suppressing a laugh, you glanced up to see Yuna giving you her best pleading expression. The amusement didn’t last.
“Is something funny, Y/N?” the teacher’s voice cut through the air. You jumped. “Maybe you’d like to share with the class?”
“Uh—no, sir. Nothing’s funny.”
“Then you must be paying excellent attention. What’s the formula for this problem right here?”
Panic rose. You didn’t recognize it—despite studying all night. Just as you were about to crumble, a voice chimed in.
“It’s the quadratic formula: ax² + bx + c = 0.”
You turned to see none other than Reo Mikage, his smug expression making your blood boil.
“Thank you, Y/N,” the teacher said sarcastically, emphasizing your name in a way that only made you cringe further.
Later, you groaned in frustration as Yuna tried to apologize. “If you hadn’t passed that note, none of this would’ve happened!”
“Sorry, sorry!” she laughed. “How was I supposed to know the teacher was lurking?”
“It’s whatever,” you sighed. “What did you need help with, anyway?”
“The quadratic formula,” she teased, stifling a giggle.
You glared at her. “I swear…”
“Okay, okay! Joking! But, um, actually… I want to join the game club. You know, since Nagi’s in it.”
Your silence stretched for a moment. “Do you even play games?”
“Uh… I played Roblox with my little cousin once?”
You buried your face in your hands. “You’re joining because of Nagi.”
“Maybe. Okay, yes! I can’t help it!”
Sighing deeply, you relented. “Only because I love you. Fine. I’ll help.”
Yuna squealed, pulling you into a tight hug. “You’re the best! Can we start today?”
With the last class ending, unlike walking home with Yuna or staying after school for club activities, you’re staying after school for club activities WITH Yuna to help her out with your crush. And that was how you found yourself dragging Yuna to the club after school. You open the door to the club room, filled with tables of ongoing rows of computers, outlets here and there, some members playing League, and most importantly, there was no Nagi Seishiro. Which kind of made you sigh in relief.
“He’s not here…” Yuna mumbled, disappointed.
“He sometimes comes late,” you offered, trying to cheer her up. “Come on, let’s meet the co-leader so you can join.”
Sitting through her interview was an experience. The co-leader, a stereotypical nerd with thick glasses and a bowl cut, “Now last question, d-do you play genshin impa-”
“Do not finish that question.” You warn. “And Yuna don’t even answer it.”
“Isn’t it that one cool Chinese game?”
“Ah! so you know about it” He excites
“I just told you not to finish that question,” you grumbled as he lit up at Yuna’s response.
Before the conversation could spiral further, the door creaked open. Both you and Yuna turned instinctively. There he was—Nagi Seishiro, focused on his phone, his white hair catching the dim light.
Yuna’s eyes sparkled, but yours darkened as you spotted someone following behind him. Reo.
When had they even become friends? And why did it feel like your entire world was slowly unraveling?
pairings: bf!yeonjun x fem reader
tags/warnings: possible triggering/sensitive content!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. established relationship, dark themes, hints of stalking, obsession, etc. yeonjun is OBSESSED with you and doesn't want you out of his sight for long. FLUFF IF YOU SQUINT. there might be more I forgot to mention-
wordcount: 0.8k!!
fic below the cut!!
Being alone late at night without your boyfriend, Yeonjun, made you feel incredibly lonely. Due to the demands of his job, he often returns home late and frequently works overtime, something you were still struggling to adjust to.
The two of you lived together in a small but cozy apartment, which you were currently decorating with Christmas ornaments, adding little decorations to your mini tree. This was your way of keeping yourself occupied while Yeonjun was gone.
You finished your decorating by placing a star on top of the Christmas tree, completing the festive atmosphere.
Looking around, you felt proud as you admired the decorations scattered around the living room, which made your cozy space feel more vibrant. You cleaned up afterwards, ensuring that the mess from decorating was tidied up.
Once you were done, you headed to your bedroom, letting out a sigh as you picked up the fox plushie from the small desk next to your bed. It was a gift from Yeonjun, given to you when he received his first paycheck from his current job. You would usually play with the plushie or talk to it whenever you felt bored, or when you were just missing your boyfriend in general.
“Hey, Hwangchoon,” you called out, using the name you and Yeonjun had given the plushie a while ago.
You lay down on your bed, resting the plushie on your stomach, facing you.
“Do you think Yeonjun will like the decorations I put up in the living room?” you muttered as you fiddled with the little fox plush.
You held the plushie with both hands, moving it to make it nod in response to your question. You smiled to yourself before reaching for your phone, which was resting beside you. You then checked the time.
[11:37PM]
No texts or calls from him yet… you thought, before locking your phone and placing it back on the bedside table. With nothing else to occupy your time while waiting for Yeonjun to come home, you decided to take a bath before heading to bed.
You placed Hwangchoon back on the desk and got up, grabbing a towel before heading to the bathroom.
After a quick shower, you returned to your room and changed into something comfy.
You and Yeonjun had agreed that if he wasn't home by 11 PM, you could go to bed first, and that's exactly what you had planned, especially since you were still feeling a little tired from decorating the living room.
Just as you finished changing, your phone rang, and you rushed to your bed to answer. The smile on your face was instant when you saw Yeonjun's name on the screen.
“Hey, baby~ are you still awake? I hope I didn’t wake you up,” his voice came through the phone, and your smile grew even wider at the sound of his voice after what sounded like a long, tiring day.
“Well, I was getting a little sleepy and was about to go to bed,” you paused for a moment and giggled, “But now I'm wide awake after hearing your voice.”
“Aww, I'm sorry for keeping you up, angel. Something urgent came up at work, and I really had to finish it tonight, so I clocked out later than usual. But I’m on my way home now. I’ll be there in less than 5 minutes.”
“It’s fine, Yeonjun. You know I’m always just here waiting for you around this time. Get home safely, okay?”
“I promise I'll be quick. I know you must be tired from decorating all night. I got you your favorite snacks, so just hang in there for a bit, okay?”
You laughed softly and stood up, heading to the living room to get ready for his arrival.
“Alright, baby. I'll be right here when you get in.”
“You know, I'm a little upset that you took a shower without waiting for me,” Yeonjun teased on the other end of the line, and you could practically hear the pout in his voice. “So, you’re going to have to give me a ton of hugs when I get home, alright?”
“I’ll give you all the hugs you want, but you better hurry up or I’ll fall asleep on you,” you joked, rolling your eyes.
“Wait—no! I’m already here! I’ll be at the door in 10 seconds, I promise. I’m hanging up now, okay? Love you, baby!” Yeonjun’s voice wavered, and you could hear him running in the background before the call cut off.
Just as you expected, the doorbell rang, and you couldn’t help but laugh at his antics as you headed to the door to let him in.
But right as your hand reached for the doorknob, a sudden thought hit you. You froze, furrowing your brows in confusion.
Wait, I haven't told him I was going to put up the Christmas décor in the living room today and that I took a bath first, have I?
It turns out your boyfriend had been keeping you company all along, but in a way far more unsettling than you ever realized.
-------------------
a/n: i was listening to Devil by the Window when I thought of this prompt, and i immediately remembered how yeonjun's look in the GGUM concept photos would complete the whole vibe of this, so here we are. Merry Christmas, everyone! ❤️
PROLOGUE: GOTHAM'S SATYR
Even then, when Nico Di Angelo was actually young, Gotham City wasn’t the best place around, when it was first built in 1635 it wasn’t so bad but by the 1930’s that altered entirely. It was a city surrounded by crimes like, murder, thievery, assaults of many kinds, among other things, and now even in 2010 Gotham seemed to be no different along with the other cities that followed a similar banner. Cities like Metropolis, Star City, and Central City, for some examples, were brighter than Gotham, and while their crime rates were nothing in comparison. The odd phenomena and odd occurrences were nothing to sneeze at, but suddenly, it was like the Son of Hades wanted to sneeze at that after accidentally finding himself in the city of crimes.
The city smelt of pollution, alcohol, and cigarettes, what’s worse? He couldn’t Shadow Travel away due to loss of strength, and the ghosts of the dead that looked upon him before dipping their heads in bow, some would even start to beg him to let their souls free. (He just wanted to go to McDonalds) But then reality separated him from the mythical as he bumped into a child who looked scared beyond their mind, shaking and crying desperate to get past the demi-god And as Nico looked ahead, he came face to face with a Harpie, a monster under the name of Zeus. But if this kid could see it, then..Nico stopped his thoughts and drew his sword, and with a simple thrust to the roaring harpies core, it evaporated into golden dust. As Nico turned toward the kid who had only made it a few steps past him, they were now on their hands and knees hysterically crying and gasping for air.
Slowly, Nico made his way to the child who seemed to be no older than 7 or 8, Nico knelt down awkwardly and stayed next to the child, telling them that they were okay softly. “Tha-nk you. Thank you..that thing cha-sed me outside my home..I have no clue what’s going on. Help me, help me.” As the child pleaded, they latched onto the son of Hades, their arms wrapped tightly around his torso. Nico tensed greatly, but he understood. “Where do you live?” Nico asked as gently as a child of Hades could sound. “Across town..” Sighing slightly, Nico stood slowly, causing the child to let go.
Though he really didn’t want to, Nico offered his hand to the child, which they gratefully took. Nico trailed in the direction where the child first bumped into him, and as he did, the more the criminals came out, that of course made a family of bats roam the city. But he wasn’t expecting to be met by two of these bats, one a short hooded figure wearing red and wielding a katana and the other about his own height also dressed in red gear but wielding a bo staff.
“Who are and why do you have that child?”
A stern voice came from the shorter figure, and before Nico could really answer, another voice came along.
“Alex! Alex! There you are!” A woman came running over and in the same motion the child let go of Nico’s hand into the arms of who he guessed was their mother. “Mama that boy helped me. He got rid of that thing, Mama. He saved me!” The mother held her child tightly, and Nico and the two other figures watched. The mother looked up at Nico, and by the look in her eyes, Nico knew she knew what he was.
But she smiled kindly at him, “Come, I feel as if I owe you something for saving my child.” And with a glance to his left and right, Nico saw the angry scowl of the shorter boy and the relaxed face of the other taller one. Nico walked toward the mother and child swiftly, and they made their way across town swiftly and safely. (Much to Nico’s surprise) It was a small and comfortable home, “Thank you. Thank you so much.” A cry came from the mother as she turned to look at Nico with tear filled eyes.
“I’ve been so selfish keeping my Alex away from that camp, but after tonight, I know they need to go. Thank you, thank you for saving my Alex.” “Mama?” Alex mumbled softly, “Why has no satyr come for them?” Nico questioned the woman softly as he could, which might not have been that soft. “I was told that satyrs would come for them when they became twelve, but the attacks started becoming too frequent. I can’t keep being selfish and putting my child in danger.” The mother explained, and while Nico understood, the explanation led to another question.
“Who?” The woman caught on quickly to what he was referring to, “Iris.” Nice, was the first thing that came to Nico’s mind, and the other was I should probably get this kid to camp. “I don’t think I’d look that well taking your child outside the city after I was already pinned by those..?” “Vigilantes” The woman said, and quickly nodded in agreement, “The Grey Sisters?” The woman suggested, and Nico had to hold back a smile. Nico nodded and let the mother explain to Alex what was going to happen to him this year or a brief of it.
Alex quickly threw open the car door and got out, finally relaxing after feeling the ground below. “Lovely ladies, may the darkness always suit you. Thank you for the ride.” As Nico and Alex made their way to the Big House, Nico gained stares from the other campers, some being awe others being fright. Alex asked questions the whole way there, to which Nico gave answers to the ones he could. “Mr. D, Chiron. There’s someone you need to meet.” “Nico, good to see you, whatcha got?” “Nico my boy, what is it?” Nico nodded in greetings again before getting the attention of the eight year old he saved. “This is a child I saved in Gotham City. Their name is Alex Walker, the child of Iris.” The child stood stiff in the gaze of Mr. D and Chiron, “Hello..” Mr. D said nothing and turned his attention away from the child as Chiron greeted Alex.Mr. D called over the Son of Hades, to which Nico followed. “You know, there’s no Satyrs in Gotham?” Dionysus said factually, while Nico turned to him completely in confusion. “Why?” “The Mist there is thin, due to all the bat shit things that happen there, sending satyrs there means most would know. So I have an offer.” Dionysus said smugly, and Nico gave the God of Wine a questioning look. “Be the satyr for Gotham, save and guide kids to this wretched place.”
“Why? You don’t really care about demi-gods.” Nico fired back in confusion, and Mr. D laughed. Though while he did, it was like he shifted into another person, his hair turned black, and he became slightly paler, and his eyes red before he quickly switched back after his laughing fit. “You know, besides good ol’ Chiron, I think you’re the only one I’ll allow to question me. Yes, I don’t like demi-gods, but this is what Chiron wants I’m just the one telling you.” Nico thought for a moment. What if there were minor or chthonic kids like himself or children of Dionysus? After more contemplation, Alex ran up and hugged Nico, “This place is great! My cabin’s being built!” As Nico looked at Alex, he finally knew his answer, “Yeah? Enjoy Hermes Cabin for a bit.” Alex let go of Nico and ran back out of the Big House. “Yeah, I’ll be the satyr for Gotham.” Nico answered sternly, and Dionysus, once more chuckling, shifted before changing back. It was really starting to concern the Son of Hades, “Good, be careful, brother. Some bat’s are hiding there.”
Been awhile since I’ve last posted something on Parkour Civilisation and Clownbo (so sorry about that my work was busting my butt lately ahaha) but I have a small au idea for people here if they want it that lets me combined something else I absolutely love as well
Vampire Evbo x Vampire Hunter Clown that’s set in a modern au
So, to start off the premise, Evbo is a recently turned vampire that was completely an accident after Seawatt (who was his then boyfriend at the time but is no longer that :)) decided to finally feed on him after luring him back to his place that he was temporarily staying at and then left him pretty much to die after using him for his blood…unfortunately for Seawatt he didn’t end up realising that he actually turned Evbo and when the blond woke after it-to say the least-he was confused. Evbo tries to find Seawatt again after finding the large amount of blood that seemed to be spilt around him, the aching pit that gnaws at his stomach painful and his sudden avoidance of the sun…well, Evbo ends up finding that Seawatt is completely gone now and he has to figure out what happened on his own.
He ends up researching his symptoms, thinking that he’s just sick possibly to deny what’s happening to him as he grows more and more hungrier each day, and he grows paler each passing day until he’s backed into a corner by someone trying to rob him…something tight in his guts pulling hard onto him as he feels his teeth ache with pain and his eyes darken as the robber gets closer towards him, tension bubbling underneath his skin until they’re just a breath away…and then he pounces on them, his fingers tearing into them as his teeth latch onto their neck and he tastes the sweet, tart taste of blood filling his mouth and he’s gone. A blind hunger overtakes him and he doesn’t awaken from it until he finds himself at his home, alone and washing out the blood from his clothes in the sink. The taste of blood fresh in his mouth as he stares into the bathroom tub in horror-his eyes reflecting off the murky, bloodied surface of it-and he slowly brings a hand to his mouth to breath, trying to find purchase as he throws himself away from the bathtub and slides down the wall opposite it with a pained noise escaping him.
He’s finally figured out he isn’t ‘sick’ now and that it’s something much worse….
Clown enters later on when Evbo has established himself a bit more and kinda has figured out what he can do to satiate his hunger without hurting people, his first kill still fresh in his mind. He tries to use animal blood to satiate his hunger but that thirst for human blood haunts his waking hours even as he drinks animal blood, a pungent bitterness clinging to it that sours his senses and makes him want to hurl, but he resists the urge even if he never feels full from it…eventually he ends up making another friend in the form of Void who’s a werepanther (he’s so cat coded I’m sorry) and it’s going pretty good so far for him, he’s alive and well and he now has a friend that has his back in this! (Ended up meeting void after the other accident fell on top of him while in his panther form when Evbo was hunting and they became quick friends after it.)
He still hasn’t found Seawatt on why this happened…but he feels like he’s getting closer to finding him and he knows that it’s only a matter of time before he has his answers.
That is…until Clown enters the picture.
Something about the masked man-it has to be a man there’s no question about it since he bleeds like a man-has Evbo on edge and Void nervous when they first see him around time. There’s an almost predator like quality in the way the other moves-as if he’s sizing them up-and the way he stares at Evbo as if he’s taking him apart in his mind and rearranging him again and again. It’s something that sets Evbo’s instincts on edge and heightens his desire to bare his fangs at him, to prove he’s the bigger predator here, but he stomps that desire down each time it rises up.
Evbo first meets him when he comes into his work-most likely a barista in all honesty or something like that-and their eyes immediately lock onto each other, something that makes Evbo freeze in place and Clown tilts his head at him in interest. It feels like an eternity until Evbo gets told to go on break and he sighs in relief to leave while Clown watches him walk away from him, the air almost suffocating until the blond leaves.
The dynamic is very much a wolf among sheep x a sheep in a wolf’s den situation with Clown and Evbo since Clown is here to investigate the multitude of murders that have been popping up with the attacks resembling vampire feedings (something that is completely unconnected to Evbo but he unfortunately gets involved in it) and ends up finding the odd occurrences of animals attacks and deaths as well which makes him suspicious. He ended up getting requested to do this job as a favour from an old enemy of his (The Old Man) and was disgruntled that his skills weren’t being used for something more interesting than this but retracts his opinion when he finds out about the odd animal attacks and the strange blond that he met earlier that day :)
I will outright say that Clown is straight up human because I think it’s more terrifying for Evbo to go against someone with no special powers or abilities and is just so incredibly, terrifyingly human in everything he does. The dread of ‘just’ a man being so powerful while being human intriguing and terrifying him but also the fact that Clown’s blood calls to him in such a way, teasing and whispering to him that he should have a taste of him.
It sets something in him alight and he craves for Clown’s blood, thinking about the man and what he would taste like in his waking hours and resting hours. Something that consumes him obsessively that he claws at himself for the thoughts of consumption, the craving of the blood and dangerous man while Clown remains unaware of his desires there. It’s something that scares Evbo to the core and frightens him since he feels like he’s walking on such a thin, fine wire that would snap at any moment…and he’s scared of what he would do when it happens.
Specifically this song with them as well fills my brain at the moment
#parkour civilization#parkour civilisation#clownbo#parkour villain#evbo#vampires being a metaphor for homosexual desire and hunger go#evbo hungering for clown#the sweet taste of his blood in his mouth would be something beautiful#while clown hungers for the taste of violence and blood that only hunting can bring him#to stalk his monsterous prey while they remain unaware gives him a wickedly delightful thrill#the irony of it all is that clown ends up being stalked by evbo while stalking him#stalkception#anyway they should kiss with blood covering them and a hunger burning in the both of them for each other#bloodstained lips and blood filled mouths pressings into each other as they both consume each other with desire#evbo feasting on clown while clown devours the violence and pain that evbo gives him#a love like raw violence#SoundCloud
THE GIRL THAT WAS MINE-DREW STARKEY
The sound of the door creaked as it opened, and Drew Starkey stood frozen in the hallway. He had barely been able to process the message he’d received earlier that day, Y/N was back. After months of radio silence, she had finally come home. But what did that even mean? Was she back for good? Or was this just another one of those fleeting moments that only seemed to leave more questions than answers?
He took a deep breath and walked inside, his boots echoing against the floorboards of his childhood home. The place felt just as empty as it had when she left, quiet and lonely, with only memories lingering in the corners. His eyes scanned the room, landing on her.
She looked different, like she had changed in all the ways he couldn’t put his finger on. Her hair was a little longer, her face a little more guarded, like she wasn’t sure if she could let him in again.
“Hey,” she said softly, standing by the kitchen counter. Her voice was calm, but he could hear the hesitation in it. “You got my message?”
“Yeah,” Drew replied, his voice rough. “I got it. But I didn’t expect…this.”
She bit her lip, looking down at the floor for a moment before meeting his gaze again. “I didn’t expect to come back either. But I had to.”
The words were simple, but they hit him hard, like a punch in the gut. Because he knew exactly what she meant. She had left, just like the song said, packing up her life without a word and disappearing without a trace. And now, she was back, but it was clear things weren’t the same.
“You were gone for a long time,” Drew said quietly, crossing the room to stand in front of her. His eyes never left hers, searching for the answers she wasn’t saying. “Why now? Why come back?”
Y/N hesitated for a moment, her eyes flickering with uncertainty. “I don’t know…I didn’t want to. But I had to. I’ve been thinking about a lot of things… and I realized I can’t keep running from everything. I…I need to make some choices for myself.”
Drew felt his chest tighten as he took in her words. She wasn’t the same Y/N who had left. She wasn’t the girl who had trusted him, the one who had laughed with him at the kitchen table, who had shared her dreams and fears in the dark of the night. That girl was gone.
“I don’t know what you want from me,” Drew admitted, his voice lowering. “But I can’t just forget about everything we had, Y/N. I can’t just move on like it never happened.”
Her eyes softened, and for a moment, she looked like she might say something, something that would make everything feel less complicated. But the words didn’t come. Instead, she looked away.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” she said quietly. “But I can’t love you anymore. Not like I did. I need to be on my own right now. I can’t be in something that I can’t fully give myself to.”
The words stung, and Drew’s chest tightened at the confession. He had always known there was a part of her that was unreachable, but hearing it aloud, seeing the sadness in her eyes as she said it, felt like a punch to the gut. He hadn’t been enough. He hadn’t been able to give her whatever it was she needed, and now she was leaving. Again.
“You came home today,” Drew muttered under his breath, his voice rough with emotion. “And now you’re telling me to stay away.”
Y/N’s face flushed with emotion, but she held her ground. “I didn’t want to say it, Drew. But I have to. I have to do what’s right for me.”
“I thought we had something,” Drew said, his voice thick. “I thought we had something that would last. But you’re telling me to stay away, telling me you don’t love me anymore. You can’t just walk away from everything we were.”
“I never wanted to walk away,” Y/N whispered, her voice breaking slightly. “But I had to. I had to leave to figure out who I was. To figure out what I wanted. I didn’t expect to come back like this. But I’m not the same person I was when I left.”
Drew nodded, his heart sinking in his chest. He had heard the words, but they didn’t make it any easier to hear. He had tried to hold on to the hope that she’d come back and things would be the same, but they weren’t. And they never would be.
“So that’s it then,” he said, his voice quiet but heavy with regret. “You’re leaving again. You’re just gonna pack up and go, and I’m left here, alone.”
Y/N reached for his hand, but stopped just short of touching him. “I never meant to hurt you, Drew. I swear. But I can’t stay in something that doesn’t feel right for me anymore.”
“You’ve already hurt me, Y/N,” Drew replied, his voice raw. “You left without a word, without giving me a chance. I don’t know what to do with all this…I don’t know how to let you go.”
“You don’t have to let me go completely,” Y/N said, her voice barely above a whisper. “But I can’t be who you want me to be. I can’t be the person you need. Not right now.”
Drew swallowed hard, his eyes locking with hers. He didn’t know how to make sense of this, how to let go of everything they once had. But as he stared at her, he saw the truth in her eyes. She wasn’t the same person. And maybe he wasn’t either.
“I’ll never forget you, Y/N,” Drew said quietly, his voice tinged with finality. “You were mine once. And maybe I’ll always think of you that way. But I can’t keep waiting for you to come back. Not if you don’t want me to.”
She nodded slowly, as if she understood. Then, with one final, lingering glance, Y/N turned and walked away, leaving Drew standing there, lost in a sea of memories and feelings he didn’t know how to deal with.
And as she disappeared from sight, Drew couldn’t help but wonder if she would ever really come back. If she’d ever find her way back to him, or if she was already gone for good.
But for now, he was left with nothing but memories of the girl who once belonged to him. And maybe, just maybe, that would be enough.
pairing: hozier x gn!reader rated: T (language)
PROMPT: A small, fleeting kiss - which is immediately followed by a passionate, hungry kiss.
author's note: This was pre-written and is part of a backlog of items I still have from the previous blog. xoxo.
“Five minutes!” A voice crackles over the radio clipped to your belt, yet you’re undeterred as you continue to stare Andrew down. It’s a stand-off of sorts—the natural progression of a confrontation after he made some snarky comment under his breath, and you whirled around on him to finally, finally ask him what his fucking problem is with you.
“I seem to be the only person you can’t stand on this entire crew, and I just want to know why,” you say, your tone is low and restrained as you attempt to keep anyone else from hearing on the other side of the dressing room door. The rest of the band is waiting in the wings, but the pounding footsteps of crew members dashing by makes you nervous.
Andrew glances between the door and you. His mouth opens and closes, but neither an excuse nor an answer comes out. Instead, he runs an agitated hand over his frizzy hair and sighs loudly.
“I don’t know…” He trails off, eyes still averted away from your heated stare.
“You don’t know…what, exactly? Don’t know what I’m talking about? Bullshit. You absolutely fucking do. Don’t know why you hate me so much? Then, please, figure it the fuck out. I’m here to do a job, and it’s really hard to personally assist someone when that person is being a total fucking dickhead all the time! Christ Almighty, I’ve only ever heard good things about you, and yet I’m somehow the one that gets this shitty, snarky version of y—”
His hands are on your face before you even realize he’s stepped closer, too caught up in your own rant to pay attention. His touch is firm, squishing your cheeks as he tilts your head to force your own gaze upward.
It happens in the blink of an eye. You feel the brush of a kiss against your lips before he pulls away and puts distance between you. His expression is full of worry, an apology already on his tongue as you stare blankly. His mouth is moving, but you’re not comprehending anything he says as your face burns. You can still feel the ghost of his touch as though it’s imprinted on your skin.
Andrew is still rambling when you reorient yourself. “...and, if you’re completely done with me and this whole thing, I get it, and I won’t blame you for leaving. But I can talk to the tour manager, and maybe we can put you somewhere else? I’m sure Allison would love to have someone, and you wouldn’t have to see me or deal with me for the most part, and you could still work with the band because I know they love you. I’m just so, so sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking doing that when I’ve been awful to you, I don’t deserve the kindness or patience you’ve extended to me, and I don’t—I’m sorry I fucked this up. I didn’t know what to do.”
You swallow audibly. “Didn’t know what to do about what, exactly?”
There’s the barest hint of a smile on his lips as he replies. “Feelings. Not great at ‘em. Obviously.”
Annoyance buzzes along your skin, but you ignore it as you comprehend what he’s actually saying. “You…have feelings. For me.” It’s less a question and more a statement.
“Correct,” he nods.
“And your plan to deal with that was to bully me like you’re 12 years old?”
He shrugs. “Wasn’t exactly a plan. More that it just…happened that way.”
You can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of this. Of him.
“Jesus, Andrew. Did you want to pull on my pigtails while you’re at it? Grown-ass man…”
You catch the shift in his expression—the way his shoulders relax just slightly, the way he allows himself a small, cheeky smile as he shrugs and replies. “More than happy to do so if you ask.”
There’s something about that response—about the way he smiles at you, eyes crinkling in genuine joy and relief that you’re not shouting abuse at him or leaving the tour altogether—that spurs you forward. A rough tug on the lapels of his grey suit jacket clues him in quickly, and suddenly you’re pressed back against the dressing room door as he kisses you like a man possessed. Your hand automatically comes up to rest at the nape of his neck, unable to bite back a whine as his tongue slides against yours, as his hands grip your waist and threaten to slide up your shirt.
A banging sound reverberates through your chest, startling both of you until you’re springing towards opposite sides of the room. The door swings open, and a miserable-looking tech pokes his head in and points at Andrew with a frown.
“You! We gotta go! Only a minute!” The tech is gone in a flash, the sound of his words echoing down the hall as he jogs back towards the stage.
Andrew can only choke out an apologetic sound with a desperate flail of his hands, and you wave him off with one hand while the other covers your grin. “Go, go, go, we’ll talk later. Go be a rockstar or whatever.”
He snorts, and you barely catch the, “Hardly a rockstar,” as he jogs out of the room.
Secret santa's gift!
Alright, in Discord we made a secret santa event and I was assigned... *drumrolls* @revnah1406!!! I made this little one-shot about Abby and Woods during christmas, I hope you like it. Merry chirstmas, darling 🎆✨🎉🎁
December 24th, The Vault
Abby was looking at the snow in silence, just thinking while she stared at the starry sky of december. Her eyes followed the movements of the stars and she murmured the names of some of them to herself. At some point a voice startled her from behind, making her jolt in her place with a yelp.
“What’s with you?” Frank Woods asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Goddamnit, old man, you’ll give me a heart attack!” She exclaimed, then looked at him and huffed. “Where’s the nurse?”
“Nurse Batshit? Who cares? Probably somewhere around here” He said, moving his wheelchair nearer to the window. “You didn’t answer the question, kid.”
She sighed softly and stayed silent for a second. “Just thinking…”
“About?
“Many things. Do you think my parents…well, my mom, will make it on time?”
Woods just glanced at the clock on the wall in silence, noticing that it was almost past midnight. He sighed softly and simply went to get something from a nearby drawer.
“I’m not sure if Alice will make it, but you know David would like to be here.”
“But he can’t because of his missions, I know, I know.”
For a second, Woods noticed Abby’s expression saddened before she went back to look out the window.
“Listen, I’m not supposed to give you this before tomorrow, but screw that.” He murmured, giving her a package neatly decorated and wrapped. “Here, merry christmas, Abs.”
“Thanks, old man.” Abby smiled softly and opened the package.
Inside, a neatly folded map of the stars and constellations awaited her along with many pairs of socks, each one with sillier patterns than the ones before. She laughed softly and started to look closely at the pattern.
“Oh, this is amazing! But, why plain brown ones? I don’t get it.” She asked, curiously.
“Unfold them, I know you’ll like them.” Woods said with a knowing smile.
Once she unfolded the pair of socks, she couldn’t avoid a laugh when she saw them right. The pattern made them look like hoofs, with the details and everything. It made her face light up with a huge smile, still giggling at the socks.
“These are great. I’ll go put them on now.” She said with a bright smile. “I’ll be a fucking faunus! Hell yeah!”
“If you will, do it quickly, I need your help in the kitchen.”
“Oh? What for?”
“What else for? Cooking, kid.” Woods said, rolling his eyes with a smile. “Move your ass, we’ll make your favorite for tonight.”
“Really?! Like, for real for real?! Then I’ll leave the socks for later, hehehe.”
“Yeah, now move it or I’ll change my mind.”
Abby laughed and cheered, but nodded and jumped off the window ledge to follow Woods to the kitchen.
“Will you ask the nurse for help?”
“Fuck no.” Woods said almost immediately, making Abby snicker and smirk. “Oh, look at that, are you mocking me, kid? Really?”
“Nooo, of course not.” She said, holding back her laughter. “What kind of granddaughter do you think I am?”
“Haha. Yeah right, and that smirk means nothing. Suure thing.”
“Exactly!”
Woods chuckled and shook his head softly. “You little troublemaker…”
“I learnt from the best, don’t you think?” She asked with a soft hum, proud of herself as she walked.
“Maybe too well.”
She just smiled in silence, but Woods kept smiling as well. Once they reached the kitchen, Woods started to read out loud the recipe, with him making some parts of the food while Abby made the others, sometimes adding her own touch of flavors when Woods wasn’t looking. It was a moment where they joked sarcastically with each other, also with Woods retelling for the nth time one of his stories, which Abby loved to hear, simply paying attention while she cooked.
When the food was ready, Woods just could chuckle at Abby’s happiness at the sight of the dish. He turned his face away since it smelled strongly.
“Dammnit kid, this is like a nuke itself. Why do you like it so much?”
Abby shrugged and poked out her tongue mockingly. “It's delicious. It’s not my fault you can handle it, so more for me.”
“How funny…you know I’m an elder, I can’t even try to think of eating that.” Woods said dramatically, huffing softly.
“Sooo, should I make you some bland-ass chicken with broccoli and some oatmeal?” She asked mockingly.
“Don’t you fucking dare, Abigail.”
Abyy laughed loudly, but nodded calmly. “Alright, alright, stop the drama, old man. I made you some more normal, ehem bland, food so you can eat without problem.”
After a while, they went to eat together while the snow kept falling outside, with Abby humming Christmas carols while she ate. Woods chuckled softly when he noticed Abby’s face was all red because of the spice, but when he offered her some water, she shook her head and kept eating despite the hellish spice.
And when they finished and Woods sent Abby to sleep, she just huffed but nodded. She smiled a bit and sat beside the wheelchair instead, that was near the fireplace.
“Seriously?” Woods asked.
“I’ll go to sleep, don’t worry, buuut not yet!”
Woods shook his head and put his hand over her hair with a huff, simply hearing her ramble about everything and anything. He made noises of surprise and commented sometimes, smiling at Abby’s happiness as she spoke, and like that the minutes ticked away. Slowly, Abby started to doze off a bit lulled by the heat of the fireplace, resting her head against Woods’ knee.
“Hey Abs.”
“Hmm?”
“Don’t tell your parents I gave you your gift early, alright?”
Abby chuckled a bit, mumbling softly. “I promise, merry christmas. G’night gramps…”
She sighed softly and fell asleep next to Woods, who only caressed her hair gently before he looked at the fireplace in silence.
“Goodnight Abby, rest well, I’ll be here when you wake up.” He said with a soft smile, grabbing a book from the nearby table to pass the time until sleep got him as well.
His new home. (SONIC 3 SPOILERS AHEAD)
“Wait where are you going to stay?” You wondered to Shadow as everyone began to leave the restaurant together, Maddie heard you ask Shadow the question and happily answered. “He can stay with us if he wants to.” Making Shadow look at Maddie in surprise but he nodded either way, but he couldn’t help wonder where you lived. “Where do you stay?” He asked turning back to you while the others talked amongst themselves. “Uh, kinda with my parents… I wanna move out someday, I mean I know I have to but they’re just not the most encouraging people in the world.” You replied feeling a bit embarrassed. “Maybe… maybe I could help you save up money and if you’ll have me we could get a place together?” Shadow suggested, he knew bits and pieces about your experiences with your family and it wasn’t great. “Really? I’d love that…” You replied softly smiling at the black and red mobian as Tom opened his car up for everyone to get inside of, which Maddie instantly took as her chance to tease him over still being recovering so he couldn’t drive. “Can… can you stay with me tonight? It’s okay if you don’t want to, I just… ever since I woke up you’re all I have known,” Shadow asked getting a bit embarrassed himself. “Of course, if the Wachowski’s will let me…” You say a bit louder hoping they’ll all hear you. “Oh yeah! Of course you can stay over for the night, you did help us a lot after all,” Tom replied as you all got buckled in and Maddie drove you to your house first to pick up some stuff and then back to their house.
Once everyone got back home Sonic quickly suggested a movie night with the leftovers he took with him from the restaurant but Shadow didn’t want to join, he just wanted to rest, not sleep though… he always found it difficult to let himself fall asleep. You both walked up the stairs, after saying good night to the Wachowski’s with your bag in hand as Tom told you where the guest bedroom was. Opening the door and switching the light on, shadow couldn’t help but let his hand hold onto a part of your coat sneakily so you weren’t aware. “Alright, looks pretty good right Shadow?” You asked him, turning around making him drop his hand and look down. “Yeah, it’s okay.” He replied as you smiled at him and walked further into shadow’s new room. “I’ll go get ready for bed, I also brought you a brand new toothbrush… you’re gonna need it once you start eating our food here,” You said as you sat your bag on his bed and got your bathroom supplies out. You pulled out two toothbrushes, toothpaste, and mouthwash along with some skincare products and cute headbands with bows on them and Shadow followed you to the bathroom. He could feel his eyes begging him to just go to sleep, but he didn’t want to. He watched you as you put the headband on yourself, then tried to put one on him which he let you with a small laugh and huff as he looked at himself in the bathroom mirror, he saw how ridiculous he looked.
After brushing your teeth together and washing your faces as well as moisturising them all you had left to do was to change into your pjyamas. Putting the bathroom supplies away apart from Shadow’s toothbrush you pulled out an overiszed hoodie and some shorts to wear underneath. “I gotta go back to the bathroom to change alright?” You asked shadow which startled him wide awake from his eyes dropping. “N-No! Wait! I… I can turn around okay? Don’t leave me in here in my own…” He said anxiously knowing he would fall asleep then if you left him in the room. “Hey… I’m not going anywhere if you don’t want me to…” You tried to say soothingly as you dropped your clothes on the bed and held shadow’s face in your hands, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked down. “I don’t wanna sleep… and if you leave me here on my own I know I will,” He admitted. “We’ll do what you suggested then yeah? Hopefully one day, sleep won’t scare you so much,” You replied softly to him, as you let go of his face. Shadow quickly turned around so he was facing the corner of a room while you smiled at him and began changing your clothes. Shadow stayed in that position with his eyes taking in the grey wallpaper, black carpet beneath his shoes. “I’m doneee,” You said making Shadow slowly turn around, he thought you looked pretty cute. “Nice outfit,” He complimented as you giggled at him. “Why thank you Shad… come on,” You replied as you motioned towards the bed, turning the lights off as your backs hit the mattress, Shadow instantly moved closer till he was leaning with his head on your shoulder. “Is it because of how you were asleep for 50 years that makes you scared to sleep?” You wondered, back when he first arrived you assumed he didn’t like sleeping because he was restless to get his revenge, but he obviously still has it even when he doesn’t want revenge anymore. “Kind of… it’s that and well last time I went to sleep I lost Maria so I just associate them together.” Shadow replied sighing in frustration. “I think it just might take you some time to realise sleeping is never that long and nothing bad has to happen to make you sleep,” You replied as your hand reached up to stroke his back, making him subconsciously nuzzle into your shoulder as his eyes kept fluttering open and close. After a few moments of silence you started to hum a song quietly as you continued to stroke his back gently. “Well it’s alright… doing the best you can… well it’s alright… as long as you lend a hand…” Shadow had no clue how you knew that song, but he let a few tears fall as he felt himself slowly drift off to your voice, memories with Maria, the memories of you comforting him despite everything. He had a favourite one, that he couldn’t stop replaying.
Simon Ghost Riley x you
Part 8
"Come to me"
The weight of my choices pressed down harder with each passing day. My husband, with his quiet concern, his gentle love—he wanted me back, needed me back. But I could feel it, deep inside me, that there was a part of me that had been awakened, a part that couldn’t be shut down. Ghost had made me feel alive in ways I hadn’t imagined possible. The darkness, the intensity—it was addictive. And I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
I sat in the quiet of my home one evening, my hands wrapped tightly around a cup of tea that had long gone cold, staring at the untouched messages from Ghost that I had been too scared to read. He hadn’t contacted me since that night we’d been together. Part of me was relieved—afraid of what his words might do to me. But the other part of me, the part that wanted him desperately, was drowning in uncertainty.
What if I couldn’t forget him? What if I spent the rest of my life wondering what might have been with him?
But staying with my husband? That path was clear. It meant returning to the life I knew, the comfort of a shared history, of a bond that wasn’t based on chaos or obsession. The thought of leaving it all behind—of telling my husband that I wasn’t happy anymore—that hurt. More than I cared to admit.
~~~
Ghost
Meanwhile, in the cold, isolated corners of his world, Ghost moved through his life with the usual coldness. He had long since buried the desire for connection. He’d never had the luxury of love—of intimacy. But you had cracked open a part of him that he thought was dead, and now that part was restless, unsettled.
He had warned himself to keep his distance. It was easier that way. He could walk away, go on his next mission, and forget all about you. But the ache in his chest was something he couldn’t ignore. The nights alone were unbearable, and for the first time in years, he found himself questioning his own solitude. Was it possible to want something more than just the thrill of the mission?
The part of him that had wanted to keep things simple—no strings, no attachments—was fighting with something deeper, something that had taken root since that first night. He wasn’t sure what it meant, but he knew this: you had gotten under his skin in a way no one ever had. And even though he knew you deserved more than what he could give, he couldn’t help but want to pull you closer.
~~~
I had never thought I would be torn like this.
If I stayed with my husband, I would be choosing the familiar, the safety of a life that I had built with someone who truly loved me. He would forgive me, I knew that. But could I live with myself, knowing I had lied to him? Knowing that my heart wasn’t really with him anymore?
If I chose Ghost, it would be a life on the edge—dangerous, uncertain, fleeting. He couldn’t give me what I wanted in the long term. His world was one of secrecy and violence, a place where love was a distraction. I would be nothing more than a shadow in his life, a momentary escape from the cold reality of his existence. But even with all of that, he was everything I had ever craved. The intensity, the fire, the way he made me feel alive—he was the part of me that I hadn’t even known I needed.
Could I walk away from him? Could I turn my back on the one person who had shown me what it meant to really feel?
The next day, I couldn’t stand the waiting anymore. I needed answers—answers from Ghost, answers from myself. My mind was spinning, and I needed to hear his voice. I grabbed my phone, my fingers trembling as I typed a message.
*“I can’t stop thinking about you. What happens now?”*
It wasn’t much, but it was all I could bring myself to say. I hit send, then immediately regretted it, my heart pounding in my chest. Was I ready for whatever answer he would give me? Would he even reply?
~~~
Ghost
He was sitting in a dimly lit room, preparing for his next mission, when the message pinged on his phone. He didn’t expect it—he had stopped hoping for it, in fact. His heart skipped when he saw your name, and before he even read the message, he knew it wasn’t just a casual inquiry.
He opened the text, reading the words that sent a shock through him.
*“I can’t stop thinking about you. What happens now?”*
He didn’t hesitate. He knew what he wanted—what he had always wanted, but he wasn’t sure if he had the right to ask it of you.
*“Come to me. We’ll figure it out. Together.”*
~~~
As I read his response, something inside me shifted. The tension in my chest seemed to dissipate, if only for a moment. I knew what I had to do, even though it terrified me. Ghost was a temptation I couldn’t resist, a fire I didn’t know how to put out.
I stood at the window, looking out over the city I had called home for so long. But now, everything felt different. The world felt too small for me. There was nothing left for me here. The life I had built, the safety, the routine—none of it felt like it fit anymore.
I had been living in a cage, and Ghost had shown me what it was like to fly free.
Will I go?
And what about my husband?
Hi Shima!! How are you?
Hi anon!! I’m tired but good c: I recently got back from a camping trip which is why I’ve been kinda MIA, surprisingly enough we did have service up in the mountains so that was nice!
I got some nice scenery pictures!
Still can’t believe I got that shot of the rainbow, it drizzled a little right after we set up camp and then the sun came out and it was just 👌
Also I had no idea my phone was capable of taking actually decent pictures of the stars, but yeah they were SO clear and so gorgeous, we could see a bit of the Milky Way 🥺
Got a really clear shot of the Big Dipper too!
And on the last day (Tuesday) we went to a wolf reserve and actually got to go into their enclosure and pet them, which was the best thing ever. I got legitimate wolf kisses!!!
(Hiding my face bc I’m shy but YEAH SHE LICKED MY FACE 😭)
We got back Tuesday afternoon but I was just so wiped that I went straight to bed. I took today off of work too bc I’m still recovering but I’ll be going back tomorrow :’)
