HFHGHD GLADLY aaa i’ve been adding notes to it here and there for months but just hesitant to post it bcs im 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂

also this is just my own takeaway of the events, it doesn’t necessarily comply to the Ultimate Truth of Canon-Alignment or represent the actual facts of what hussie intended! v sentimental smh but hopefully its still interesting to read

i love when characters inform each other by proximity, it's one of my fave things to see in media :') it feels even more significant when two characters deliberately choose to stick together, so that when one operates, you can tell the other is similarly aligned in associative solidarity.

sollux is a keystone of this trope — whoever he aligns with is a wordless statement, a nod of approval. this stood out to me bcs the main four humans were alr friends by default, but once you reach hivebent you realize the trolls can actively choose who they want to hang out with.

and as we all know, after assessing every troll's biases/loyalties, sollux is the only one who maintains his selective preference for innately Good 👍 people.

aradia is such a beautiful character honestly, she evokes such incredible feelings in me. she might not have been consistently written with care but the best parts of her character are truly stunning. i think it's easy to remember sollux as the self-sacrificing one bc he's so open about it (and his friends frequently react to his Moments) but when you compare him to aradia, it's always struck me

how much more. raw it is

to be so alone as an agent of time, having to orchestrate immeasurably harrowing events nobody understands or gives a fuck about

with your role painted in the story as one who must tend to the needs of the narrative, responsible to match every next note

because when you're given the capabilities, it becomes your duty to carry it out.

it becomes expected of you to keep experimenting and arranging the machinations to work for everyone, dusting off hundreds of necessary failures to keep going

and having to be so unwavering in your drive knowing miserably that there's no one who can help you but yourself.

or alternatively: to make things fun! so other people won't think twice about letting you go off on your own.

sure she's had some very good buds, notably thanks to Team Charge v Team Scourge antics.

and yet, at the end of the day, the one friend that kept choosing her time and time again was the friend with the highest standards.

i can see why people like to define arasol as moirails/matesprits but surprisingly i find the nondescript, unlabeled aspect of their relationship more straightforward to understand.

there's no shortage of people who would accommodate sollux. most of the surviving trolls are his oldest friends bcs he’d chosen them well. his transparency with his feelings had built him strong friendships that won’t falter or break, regardless of how much of a dick he can be. they’ve already seen and accepted him at his worst, and they still like him for who he is.

contrast that with aradia, who'd been so approachable, friendly and reliable in her exchanges it was super fun to talk to her. but the moment she became depressed, all her connections broke down.

her friends became hesitant to interact with her (until she became god tier, “happy” and amicable again) because her gloom and resignation didn’t serve them. she dealt with it alone.

there’s def something of note here abt the disparity between the way male & female characters are written+perceived in homestuck (esp parallel arasol with davejade) but i won’t go into that lmaoo

with this in mind i like to think of sollux as a gift to her, a loyal companion given to complement and commend her resolve. she's capable of doing so much alone but hussie took the time to build her and sollux's relationship as one of a unit; a set.

the ambiguity of their status does complicate things, but i do believe it makes sense with their characters. aradia's relationship with romance is a rocky one, the dubious stringalong equius had with her is a pointed reminder that her feelings of attraction are ultimately controlled by the author writing her.

unlike the other trolls who can openly address and own up to their crushes, aradia had romantic emotions forced upon her (especially when hussie implies 'she kissed equius back on her own volition'). and it seems like her character is so intrinsically neutral abt attraction that even when forced by the almighty powers above, she's unable to retain it wholly.

however, looking back to pre-game when she could actually "choose" her own feelings, she did have a crush on sollux.

their soft spots for each other were so obvious to the point where other people could see it.

taunting aside, when vriska comments on their unit as bf/gf it actually informs the audience that arasol's relationship is romantic in nature despite not aligning with the quadrant system.

even while dead, aradia could still describe her care for sollux, expressing that she would like to see him happy. if they had more time to explore their relationship on alternia, it's possible they could've settled in a quadrant once they grew older.

but going back to the lack of labels, their dynamic was affected once more when aradia became god tier.

to me, her ascension was both the perfect culmination and possible closure of her character. it's the light at the end of her journey toiling through countless of timelines where she had to actively assess and participate. that's why it's cool to see her being silly and having fun giving guidance, passively exploring and watching other people do their parts.

and yet the joy of her freedom makes it hard to explore further introspection. if we take her by her word, she'd already come to terms with the hurt she's been through and forgiven those involved.

i can't help feeling attuned to how impersonal and detached it can be, to devote and meld your identity so completely with your designated position as Maid of Time until you've become hard for your old friends (and even some readers!) to personally connect to.

idk post-canon but i assume there’s some degree of similarity to be bridged here with aradia's god tier and how the hs2 humans' Ultimate forms was described as a consolidation of all their possibilities. since aradia's classpect is inherently of service to Time, going god-tier may have elevated her beyond personhood with the "game construct" possessing her entirely. sollux doesn't realize the extent of it bcs he's still mortal, but a part of him may have subconsciously understood this.

i think there is a core aspect to aradia that was lost to the dehumanizing glory of god tier — a core aspect that may have contained an element of why sollux enjoyed talking to her in the first place.

to him, aradia hadn't just been a nice girl, she was a cool girl. despite not having much in common, he's still willing to chill next to her so she's not alone while she does what needs to get done.

back on alternia, they held a mutual and equal-level regard for each other that could've definitely settled into something permanent. but now, he's placed himself in a position where he can be kept around or left behind at will. the parameters of the relationship are largely in aradia's court, so any label she suggests to identify their relationship with he's likely to accept.

but that's why it's so difficult to label it. because god tier aradia may not necessarily Want quadrants or relationship labels. rather than the initial romantic attachment, their commitment to each other had evolved into one fundamentally of companionship.

no label? ok fine. no matter what, he still thinks she's a good soul worth latching on to. the best, actually. aradia > everyone else.

even if it gets stilted at times. there's an unexpected struggle to connect when sollux's go-to default for talking points is his feelings about things, and aradia may not want to talk about emotions all the time.

not to mention god tier aradia became an observer, especially of chaos. but sollux's avoidance of involvement comes partially from his innate pressure to get involved if something goes wrong. and he can't always tell when something goes wrong, because aradia doesn't mind if things go wrong anymore.

it's a non-negotiable preference that causes them to take the occasional time apart, a new boundary that wouldn't have existed before the game and aradia's god tier.

but just like how his friends tolerated his moods, sollux accepts aradia as she is. with no quadrants, their connection doesn't break down because there's no implicit romantic expectations to be disappointed by or resentful over.

sometimes when i see hs content that deliberately distances sollux from aradia, i assume this is the dissonance people might have felt. people might find it "easier" to be cynical about them bcs of this strange tension.

but idc lmao. grab that shit by the neck

lack of easy resolutions and cleanly tied ribbons is pretty standard of homestuck and imo it doesn't make arasol's dynamic any less incredible. with the right affection and consideration, there's still so much potential to develop the nuance of their relationship outside of the popular quadrant-based depictions.

hs has a lot of really great character compatibilities but the way aradia and sollux are in their own special orbit is why i can write this much about them in the first place. it's that frail innocence between first loves that makes it so sweet to me, two kids who grew up too fast playing guesswork without being clear where they're going.

ultimately i do think you're meant to feel a little tragedy for just how much they care for each other, even if they can't quite establish it in simple terms.

maybe they keep taking breaks to progress their own paths. maybe they remain as anchor partners while seeing other people. but even if you decide to separate them, they're still (awkwardly) texting each other updates all the while. and when they reunite it feels like coming home.

and well. more than anything, i like to believe that they do want to be exclusive.

they're just afraid. after all, they're still learning how to love, beyond the projections of the foursquare quadrant system they had inadvertently distanced themselves from since young.

they might not have everything figured out, but they'll get there eventually if you just hold them together and write them there.

optional post-canon segment:

one of the limitations of main hs is that (monogamous) relationships are often written as the go-to solution to wrap up character growth; it's an easy "patch" to imagine characters getting their happy ending because they have a partner, and those who don't end up with someone don't get that closure (most notably jade).

hs2 reaffirms this by suggesting that aradia's character cannot progress without letting sollux go, because happily settling in a relationship automatically locks your potential.

that pathetic panel of sollux staring emptily into the sky is still my fave hs2 spoiler ngl i find the impact of their parting so emotionally provoking precisely bcs they were written in original hs to be each other's forever, coming back together again and again

but now, they're subject to the decisions of the post-canon authors who might choose to deviate from that.

it's not new for them to part, but now there's an underlying worry that her dropping him off this time might be the last time. while i think the prospect of shattering their stability to make them grow separately sounds fun on paper, no amount of me desperately hoping for a good execution is gonna guarantee it

idk. i guess prediction-wise im expecting sollux in classic dramatic-hs2 fashion to tell dave to back off aradia LMAO. otherwise it's just gon be sollux and karkat pathetically watching aradia and dave from a distance swimming in their unresolved feelings for narratively-powerful time players smh obvs it sounds corny as hell but who knows its still plausible

srsly tho i hope they take the opportunity to develop arasol's relationship in a fresh direction that doesn't hurt me too badly...... and i hope they force sollux out of his comfort zone. i like watching him struggle :-)

Meanwhile, Satoru's just 🧍‍♂️leaning by the doorframe with the biggest smug grin on his face (he actually secretly likes reader back). well, it's been a week since i went to see atta boy and i have officially processed it and i've decided not to gatekeep (most) of my experience LOL. because if i don't talk about it, i will explode!

*praying that they never see this so i can remain super mysterious when i eventually meet up with them again (🤞)*

before the concert started, i passed by the merch table and gave freddy and dashel a bag of these keychains i made for the band, their openers, etc.! freddy took one and was like "oh, these are going on my keys" and dashel laughed and was very pleased with the "the second tour ever tour 2024" tagline :) (iykyk)

opener was awesome (the wonderfool)!!! i haven't stopped listening to their most recent album since the concert. wish i had gotten to talk to them after the concert but i didn't wanna disturb them while they were clearing up their equipment. :) very chill folks, GO GIVE THEM A LISTEN!!

(i also wish i had caught aubrey to have a chat but i literally don't know where she went when i mustered up the courage to talk to any of them afterwards 😭)

at the end of the concert, i wanted to hang back for a bit since freddy said the whole band usually is at the merch table afterwards.

there was a line for the merch and then there was a small group of people waiting to talk to lewis (who was off to the side talking with a friend). i let my friend get her merch and i sipped on my bud light, standing around.

when it started getting really late and the line for the merch table was still pretty long, i was like "ah fuck it, i'll just say hi to lewis, then say hey to the rest of the gang after"

so i got into the line by the bar

while i was in line, there was a really sweet girl who came up to me and we were just chatting about the east coast and tattoos and she very much liked my hair (she called my bangs "fresh and pristine")! i don't remember what for but we high fived about something LOL. after a bit, her husband was trying to tell her that she had work in the morning but me and her were like "ahhh it's fine!" i wish i had gotten her name (IF YOU SEE THIS, HELLO!!!!! OR I MIGHTVE MESSAGED YOU ALREADY!!!!!)

when it got to me, i felt bad that she had work the following morning so i was telling her to go ahead of me. meanwhile lewis was just watching like 🧍‍♂️

she got her photo with him and they chatted for a bit, then left

i was gonna walk over to him but he walked over to me and we were both just like "hey! 👋😀"

we were chatting and i asked him to sign my bag, then this man put my sharpie in his mouth (which i didn't even realize until my friend told me about it later) and KNELT ON BOTH KNEES ON THE DIRTY FLOOR WITH HIS WHITE PANTS (i felt so bad because we were literally only a couple steps from the bar 😭😭😭)

he then proceeded to pull out his zyn can and put it in my bag so he had a flat surface to write on (which, again, we were right beside the bar LOL). i proceeded to laugh in his face about it (I COULDNT STOP MYSELF) and was like "oh my god the zyn-" and he also laughed and was like "hey gotta have something to get me going through the day!" my response being: "gotta do what you gotta do"

anyways.. (😭) got a couple photos with him after i told him my mom would beat my ass if i didn't (to which he replied "oh yeah for sure, gotta keep mom happy) and i told him about the keychains, which he was pretty pumped about! and we chat a bit more then my friend and i left

(IM KICKING MYSELF FOR NOT PROPERLY INTRODUCING MYSELF BECAUSE I WAS SO TIRED BUT IT'S OKAY I GUESS)

i went over to the merch table finally to get the others' signatures and freddy was like "what was your name again? wait don't tell me ... 'uh-lie-zuh'" (he also told me earlier he recognized my name from the band instagram) and i was like "so close! 'uh-lee-zuh'" and he went "damn!"

(he also asked me when i bought my atta boy tote and said he was the one that sent it to me out of his parents house, when i said i bought it last year 🙂‍↕️)

i asked to get a photo and he was like "yeah!" but then when i started to take a selfie, he was like "WAIT! ✋ we have to get a proper photo with all of us!"

freddy then wrangled up the rest of the band for me–even though dashel and lew were chatting with people and eden was starting to clear up 😭

then lewis saw me and i was like "🧍‍♀️im back" and he was like "hey! you're back! 😄"

What Careers Did The Poets Have When They Grew Up?

✌️ Charlie

Not in any universe can you convince me that Charlie became a banker. He would definitely have rebelled against his parents and found a way to do his own thing. I can see him following in Keating's footsteps and becoming a teacher, maybe a university lecturer rather than high school as students have more freedom there. Alternatively, he could have gone down a more Bohemian path, and become a writer or an artist - I think he could write sci-fi books, even screenplays for comedic shows/films, or get heavily involved in the Pop Art movement of the '60's, like Andy Warhol. I can imagine him starting his career like this and then going on to become a teacher.

I would love to see Todd become a therapist or a councillor as an adult. Considering his own struggles growing up, and also Neil's, I think he'd want to rectify those mistakes of his past by supporting the kids of the future - maybe he'd pioneer having councillors in private schools, because Lord knows he could have done with one. On the other hand, Todd's confirmed talent combined with his anxiousness could lead him to becoming a reclusive poet either. Unlike Knox (more on him later), Todd wouldn't have a 'normal' job that he abandons to focus on his poetry - poetry would be his life, and he would spend every hour writing it, even if he never sold a single piece, a la Vincent van Gogh (Keating would 100% buy anything he put out though).

🧍‍♂️Pitts

Please, God, let this man become a radio show host. Sure, he's shy, but he's clever and he's dedicated. He co-designed and made a radio with Meeks; once it was working they connected 'Radio Free America', and the boy was thrilled. So, I can see him getting on some 'pirate radio' or 'free radio' station in the Summer of Love in the 60's, broadcasting illegally and secretly. If being a radio personality doesnt work out, I think he would become a scientist of some kind, creating new inventions and trying to make lives better.

🤓 Meeks

I'm visualising Meeks as an archaeologist. I love the idea of this guy on a dig, dusting off discoveries, and using his ace language skills to translate whatever's found on them. I think that kind of career would excite him and put all his education and passions to good use. Failing that, he could easily turn his back completely on the education and values that were instilled in him, and 'seize the day' following Keating's influence - I envision him in a band in the 60's/70's. There were plenty of instruments at Welton, so I'm sure Meeks picked up a thing or two about guitar or drums, and he has plenty of time to hone his skills in time for the rock boom - personally, I see him as a drummer since drummers have to keep time, essentially staying in charge of the music.

Knoxious has a romantic mind and a unique drive, and I can see him putting that to good use as a poet. He's the only one of the group we see who consistently writes poetry throughout the film, and I think he'd maintain and cultivate that passion in secret throughout his school days and beyond. Of course, poetry doesn't exactly rake in the dollars so, I can see him becoming a lawyer fresh out of school, as expected of him from his parents. However, he would do this only for 10 - 20 years so he can save up plenty of money and start putting his poetry out into the world, and then eventually turn his back on law to focus on his art full time.

📚 Cameron

This boy would be the only one to make Welton proud. He'd become something that all the kids parents wanted them to be - a doctor, or a lawyer, or a banker. Something smart and safe and practical, just like him.

And Neil became a famous actor and lived happily ever after, the end, bye

There was this willow tree in the courtyard- not the Womping Willow, the violent tree that protected not only a shabby house but also secrets. This willow was planted by Professor Sprout and some of her Muggleborn and Half-Blood friends when she was a student at Hogwarts. She had always loved learning about Muggle plants and helped them plant it, and now it was huge and glorious.

This was (Y/N)'s favorite tree.

So there he sat, books splayed out about him, a quill and paper in his hand. He'd decided to take Ancient Runes this year, his sister Hermione greatly influencing this decision. She had thought it would challenge him in just the way he needed, and she was right.

It was extremely difficult, to say the least.

Brows creased and eyes focused on the parchment he had placed on a book for a smooth surface, (Y/N) tapped his lip with the end of his quill- completely oblivious to the group approaching him.

"Hey (Y/N), heads up!" Hermione shouted, tossing an apple at the distracted boy as she got closer.

Caught off guard, (Y/N) gasped and looked up, only to be hit in the face with an apple.

Hermione and Ron cringed while Harry laughed, the trio sitting around the books on the grass.

"Ow," (Y/N) somewhat joked, picking up the apple and taking a bite.

"Sorry," Hermione chuckled, picking up a book and skimming a paragraph. "Ancient Runes?"

"Yup," (Y/N) responded, popping the 'p'. "Why'd I let you convince me to take this class?"

"Because you'd breeze through all the other electives and you know it," Hermione answered with a smug look on her face, snatching (Y/N)'s parchment to look it over.

"Hey- I was working on that!"

"Ahh, just let her. You need a break anyways," Harry replied, playing with his wand as he observed the students around the courtyard.

"I did this last year, maybe I can help," Hermione added, snatching the quill from his hand and making adjustments.

(Y/N) huffed a dramatic breath before turning to Ron, who'd been silent.

"Hello Ron, how's your day been?" he smiled up at him, seeing as he was still standing.

Ron realized the awkward position and sat down against the tree with (Y/N).

"It's been alright, yours?"

(Y/N) shrugged, "It could be going worse. This Runes paper is the worst part about it so far."

Suddenly Harry perked up, gaze trained on something across the courtyard.

"I'll see you guys later!" He suddenly jumped up and ran off, tucking his wand into the pocket of his billowing cloak.

"Harry? Wait!" Hermione shouted, dropping the parchment and quill and following after him. She continued to shout things but (Y/N) and Ron could no longer make them out.

Shaking his head in amusement (Y/N) picked up the things Hermione had dropped before looking at Ron.

"You aren't going to follow them?"

"Nah, they've been running this way and that all day. I'd rather just stay here." Ron laughed at the end of his response, turning to look into (Y/N)'s eyes.

"What's going on with them, do you think?" (Y/N) questioned, pretending not to notice the limited space between Ron and himself as he returned Ron's stare.

"When is something not going on with them?" Ron bantered back, just now noticing how small the space between them had become. He cleared his throat and turned away, not seeing (Y/N)'s disappointed stare.

Picking up a nearby book Ron tried to make small talk.

"So, Runes, eh? I'm so glad I never took that class..." he trailed off with a nervous chuckle.

"Are we seriously not going to talk about it?" (Y/N) asked sternly, a serious look on his face.

Ron gulped and tried to ignore the heat in his face, avoiding eye contact with (Y/N).

"Talk about what?" he weakly mumbled back.

"The kiss, Ron. Are we seriously not going to talk about how we kissed and we still haven't done anything about it?" he desperately asked, beginning to look a bit sad.

"Well, what do you want to do about it?" Ron asked gently, fearing the rejection he was still so positive was coming- no matter how much (Y/N) seemed to want the same thing as him.

(Y/N) took in a deep breath, looking thoughtful. Then he cleared his throat and turned to Ron with a newfound determination.

"Do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me? As my date?" He felt like he had to be specific for Ron to get it.

Ron looked shocked, and felt bad that he hadn't been the one to ask.

"Really?"

"Yes, really. Unless you don't want to, which in that case- pretend I never said anything-"

"No- I want to!"

They shared a smile with warm cheeks and racing hearts.

"Does this mean you're my boyfriend?" Ron asked nervously as he looked at the grass, like he was a second year all over again, even though it's been four years since he actually was one.

"I'd love to be, but if you're still unsure we can just see how Hogsmeade goes..." (Y/N) hesitantly replied, tenderly slipping his fingers between Ron's on the grass.

Ron flipped his and over to hold (Y/N)'s hand properly and met his gaze, "I'd like that."

Okay so I just wanted to say what an absolutely wild ride this story has been. You and lunar have made such an amazing universe. Your writing skills and general talent regularly broke me over this last year or so. I am so unbelievably happy about having found you guys just as you started to write the actual story. Herobrine being Hels admin was peak!!!! The fact he went by Adam made me just think about the meme of reversing the homophobic saying by saying its not Adam and Eve but Adam and Steve. Which now makes me giggle about Herobrine wanting to fight steve. Complicated love lol.

God I keep thinking about all the potential interactions of hermits with their hels counterparts.

Also Instinct has already a spot of interest in my mind and now seeing Lunars art for him he is always on the mind lol.

as for the current state of hels: at the end of the story, the universe decided to drop the firewall around hels. this means that anyone attempting to make a hacked nether portal out of hels will no longer have to provide continuous updates to bypass the firewall (ie. they don’t have to power the portals anymore). this will speed up the process, as we saw w the double lifers making their portal.

howEVER, the reason hels players can’t make comm portals is bc their comms are hardwired to have the option disabled, and that is still applicable. any communicator that generates in hels will be unable to create portals by default, just based on how the world was designed. but once they travel to another world, that world’s admin can make them a new one (like xisuma did for tango) so they’ll be able to do that. and if they do, it’ll just be like a normal solo world! tango’s discovered this himself since being on hermitcraft.

Her husband managed to find out a way to wake her up, worked with a new government that staged a coup, his kids disowned him and believed she was dead, and he made 30+ clones that were used for sacrifices on the hypnosis mic prototype. What happens when she wakes up and sees his cast from his broken arm that their son did 😭 i also hope shes actually an interesting character and not just that 'perfect dead wife' trope thingy. Ik i saw a great Nayuta headcanon that i REALLY want to be canon. I also hope we get a Nayuta design drop. Personally, I dont think she'll overly look like Ramuda bc Rei knew what the Ramuda clones were used for, so I doubt hed want to see her likeliness keep dying.

Maybe it's cheesy but I love the proposal scene. There's so many layers to it: the fact it was episode 3x18 and TK woke Carlos up at 3:18 in the morning, just after Carlos told TK he can wake him up at 3 a.m. if he needs anything??? I love the red string of fate, I love synchronicity I love soulmates. I also love the fact TK holds Carlos' hands the way he did when he told him they make a pretty good team. I say it all the time, but they really do hold one another like that's the reason God gave them two hands <3 Also the way TK rocks back and forth with excitement? The same way he flipped the ring he was going to propose to Alex with but because of anxiety? If I'm going to love anything it's a reference let me tell you that much!

I have gone out of my way to show people the Lou story line because to this day it might actually be my favorite. It's so miniscule, in a way, in the grand scheme of things but nothing beats TK walking in, posed like this: 🧍‍♂️and asking Carlos if they were robbed. I love watching films that I don't know I'm about to love (Humboldt County, my beloved) , discovering new television shows that rewire my brain (looking at you AMC's Interview with the Vampire), listening to music that feels like sunshine (Cannock Chase by Labi Siffre, you will always be famous) or reading a book that makes me want to bite a brick (A Density of Souls by Christopher Rice ruined my life (affectionately)

If I'm not doing any of that, and this is going to sound so corny, but I write! I've been working on a novella for a little while as I'm trying to prepare something for grad school (that isn't gay firefighter fanfiction lol) and I was working on a book of poetry before realizing that I'm a much stronger narrative fiction writer than I am a poet (Ada Limón if I could just have a sprinkling of your voice please ma'am)

Album wise it has to be Cowboy Carter. I've been saying it since forever, but Beyoncé truly is on a very different level than any other pop artist we have right now (and I like a lot of them! I loved eternal sunshine and I can not WAIT until Dua drops her third album in May)

Anyways, one of my favorite genres of music is Classic Country; so think 1950s, 1960s Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Skeeter Davis, Lee Hazlewood, Glen Campbell; that whole bunch.

So, I was so excited to see what Beyoncé was going to cook up because that is a woman who makes sure each and every thing she makes is perfection and my god, it got as close as any of her work has gotten so far.

It also features an interpolation of Good Vibratations by The Beach Boys, who's one of my favorite artists so it feels like this album was made specifically with me in mind. Here's hoping Act III is rock because I need to hear her with Jack White again.

Life as a high school student, especially one at such a prestigious school like U.A, was not easy. You were a general studies student, and it felt like assignments tended to pile on top of each other. Deadlines loomed over you as you sat over your desk, working on your fifth late assignment of the day. Your phone repeatedly buzzes, but you do your best to pay no mind to it. You couldn't afford to fail, so you pushed any and all distractions to the back of your mind.

You had no idea how much time had passed when you hear the room to your dorm open. Shortly after, footsteps could be heard, you could assume the person had some heavy boots on.

"Hey, you haven't been answering my texts." A familiarly rough voice spat out. You glanced over and saw your boyfriend in the corner of your eye, in what seemed to be the bare minimum of his hero outfit. Bakugo stared down at your homework for a few seconds before speaking again. "Falling behind again?"

Nodding tiredly, you pointed at a random question on your current assignment.

"This entire unit has me confused." Your voice was raspy, a result of not having spoken since class let out. "I've got everything else done, though."

"I'd figure since it's two in the damn morning."

Your eyes widen slightly at the comment, flipping your phone over to see the time alongside a load of notifications. He wasn't lying, it was really late at night. You sigh and place your pencil down, looking up at Bakugo and tiredly asking for his help. He obliges, seemingly annoyed but knowing he wasn't, really. He taught you the basics of the assignment, watching your eyes light up as you caught on, quickly finishing up the last few questions.

You leaned back against your chair as Bakugo placed his hand on your shoulder, gently squeezing it. A barely noticeable smile spread on his face. He helped you up out of the chair and sat beside you as you laid on your bed, almost immediately knocking out from the exhaustion. Bakugou ran his fingers through your hair, adding that extra bit of comfort he felt you needed.

“You need to take better care of yourself, damn it.”

Hi Fixa! o/ Finally getting around to ask games from honestly I don't know how long ago jsksjs Time isn't real :P I already did Xiaoge's character bingo for Vince here so I'll happily do Chu Shuzhi.

Whether he is Zombie King or puppet weilding combat master, I love Chu Shuzhi so much. He's complicated and not always nice and makes mistakes but still tries a lot of the time, until he starts doubting what the point is, then thankfully we have a very stubborn, young man in Xiao Guo not letting him go. Of course the whole top row is a solid yes. Sometimes looking 🥺🥰 at crazy strong characters is just rhe best way to pass the time jskjsjs. Of course, regardless of what version of canon, Chu Shuzhi is an absolute powerhouse and beast. The dark, flowy look of show!Chu Shuzhi is so great. I love it. I mentioned in my Xiaoge bingo post that I've been wearing a lot of all black for work and I absolutely stamp of approval this aesthetic jsksjs He's great to toss around and put through a tough time! Keeps things so interesting. Of course I'm not blind to his nature or past, Chu Shuzhi is absolutely a bastard, but he's also so silly and dumb with how he thinks sometimes and I'm like "hmm, maybe he needs a turn of getting bite to remind him not to be so foolish" (oh gods, is this a fanfic idea starting in my brain? Save me jksjs I've already got so much in my head). He needs some of the comradery and friendly bullying of the department without a doubt. He'd be too moody and edgy without them. And canon... well, we'll see if there's a special extra for Chu Shuzhi and Guo Chengchang lovers in Vol 3 but regardless, I love them and in my mind there is no other option but for them to be together regardless of canon jsksj

What made you ship it? i love multishipping and also combining ships l o l. i already liked jamiazu OBVIOUSLY and i liked azurido, and i think i was thinking a lot about how azul sees riddle as a rival and wants to team up with jamil -> he sees them both as on an equal playing field as him -> theyre both so openly rude to him and hes just like hehehehehe JKFSDJKFLDSJ -> jamil and riddle are octavinelle haters. fish hater club cofounders in my mind. also their backstories made me the saddest until idia's happened.

What are your favorite things about the ship? ^ again i started answering up there kljdsjfklds i just think theyre SILLY and i want them to be academic rival bestie frenemies and also dating... azul likes being bullied considering he surrounds himself with people like the tweels, riddle, jamil, and idia on purpose and it's nonstop psychological warfare kslfjkelje and riddle + jamil are RUDE LITTLE FISH HATERS so i desperately want them in a fish hater alliance. you understand. we've spoken about this At Length but i simply have to rehash it for The Uninformed. i do think they could all challenge each other in a good way. like theyre all kinda,,, bad at socializing [idk jamil is good at faking it but he seems to struggle with true bonds, and azul is a bit Too Schoozey and everyone just rolls their eyes at him skjdlfjds. and riddle. riddle is riddle. i love him but Oh God LOL] so i think it's FUN that theyre a pile of kinda pretentious socially awkward little smart bitchy boys LOL. on each other's playing field 😌

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? tbh the existence of it just feels like an unpopular opinion LOL. like there's a good amount of azul/jamil and azul/riddle but not a lot of riddle/jamil!!! like fair enough, they havent interacted as much... however i am all about the vibes and the POTENTIAL!!! and the few times they HAVE interacted/spoken of each other have mostly been positive. i do know jamil comiserated with trey once about having housewardens that are a handful jkdsljfks BUT ASIDE FROM THAT there seems to be a mutual respect between the two. like in i think riddles gym card story, he is keeping kalim company and doing exercises with him while jamil's busy and tells jamil it's not a problem bc jamil "Deserves a break" lol. and in another story, kalim and riddle are talking at sam's shop and riddle clocks that jamil likely sent kalim on an errand to get him out of the way skljfjsdlk. and they seemed to get along during masquerade event 😌 AND THEYRE BOTH FISH HATERS!!! IT WORKS!!! they could date a fish and be mean about it TOGETHER!!!

What made you ship it? i dont remember KLFDJSKLFJ well actually it mightve been that ^ vignette, silvers ceremony robes. just idia freaking out every time he interacts with silver and commenting about how pretty and princely he is... like sir boy hello.... it was either this or i saw stray fanart on pixiv -> investigated -> read this story. something like that!!! pixiv stumbling around showed me a lot of ships i was unfamiliar with lol

What are your favorite things about the ship? it's kinda funny sjkdfjsdklje like idia is so blatantly gay about his classmates... What made you ship it? tbh it mightve just popped into my mind in that one vignette where idia is trying to get to his dorm but is intercepted by cater, kalim, and rook kfljfjskle. i LOVE that theyre both oozing with positivity and have so much love in their hearts and i think they should combine forces. also we learned they both come from rich families and i think thats very funny LOL

What are your favorite things about the ship? THEY HAVE SO MUCH LOVE!!! IN THEIR HEARTS!!!!!! they want nothing more than to uplift the people around them and see people shine to their fullest extent!!!! theyre both light magic users!!!! rook's more shady and sneaky but at his core he is still very genuine and sweet and i think he and kalim would have a lot of fun. theyre both kinda off the walls in their own ways and i think theyd keep each other entertained/rook could def protect kalim. considering he is rook and cannot die. you know how it is :^)
