Could we get something of mal x reader x evie please that would be amazing
Evie kisses Y/N softly…
Mal nips Y/N’s lips playfully as she kisses them…
Y/N: ah. I love you both for many different reasons.
Mal: oh really?
Y/N: you’re playful yet mischievous
Evie: and me?
Y/N: tender and sweet. But both of you are rotten to the core.
Mal: and don’t you forget babe
The two VKs hug their lover tight…

don’t mind me, just an anon dropping the idea of Descendants AU Lloyd Garmadon into your head so I’m not the only one suffering with the idea of it
...Wait, this is smart. Since we all know who his father is 🤭 that is so absolutely yummy! I saw this at about 5 am. And had a hard time falling asleep after wanting to see more of this AU. Whoever you are, you're an absolute genius

Tumblr media
Lloyd Garmadon { Rotten to the core }
Platonic headcanons
~
• I can definitely see him wear a lot of dark greens, black and gold details alongside some bone design along his outfit, taking insporation from when he was younger
• He is on the VK island. You can't change my mind
• Being one of the chosen ones to go alongside Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlose to leave for Arudon (if we follow the storyline)
• It took him a lot longer to get used to all the none stealing, discovery of his new favourite food which would be sweets
• Mostly silent or scoffing at others with a nutural expression, but eventually, when getting closer to actually him considering you a friend som smaller hints of smile will be present
• Let only specific people touch him since he had little to nothing or not at all a good connection with his father and his mother, it made him feel weak which is a big no no
• A ton of stolen candy bars hidden under his pillow from the day
• Had naturally a mystery aura around him, being closest to the four other VK with a few others eventually around the school
• Would use his Oni aspect of him whenever anyone gets on his nerves to scare them off or just intimate the person
• Would constantly be on the move. He is everywhere yet nowhere at the same time
Romantic
~
•Definitely the trope of you fell first he fell harder
• It took MONTHS for him to even know what the things he felt meant. After listening in on Evie and Mals' conversation, he would understand what he was infant having romantic feelings
•Definitely in denial, having never felt it before, which did scare him even more. Pushing you away at all cost
•The only reason why the relationship even started had to be because you asked/told him that you felt romantic twords him
• Still in denying it, but decided to try after thinking a few days in a row about it
"I suppose it can't hurt.. trying? Just be aware that it will not be a walk in the park."
"I understand that very well... even went through the thought many of time, I want this"
• The answer only made him feel more secure about his decision and felt safe to let you in, his heart having never gone this fast before, even from all the danger he has gone through
• He stole things for you just because it reminded him of you and thought you'd like it. Knowing it would make you smile made it worth getting in trouble
• No PDA whatsoever, but if lucky, maybe a little pinky finger holding in the start at least. It took months of resuring and convincing, but now, at least, he'd be willing to hold hand. Maybe even a hand on the small of their back
• If anyone says or looked at his s/o weirdly, he wouldn't hesitate to put the person in their place
• Prefers sitting in silence and just comfortably exist next to one another under the moon and stars
• Playing with his hair would simply put him to sleep within seconds. Any sort of touch from his s/o would immediately relax him. Being on guard and tense from being used to the island
I am tempted to make some sort of fanfiction of this AU 🤭🤭 if there are any suggestions, I'd happily write them of our very beloved evil oni boy.
I've been sat here for an hour, just giggling to myself

To The Core
My own take on the Descendants VKs.
Mal & Jay got some got some more, fantastical attributes they inherited from their parents. Grey skin and some horns for Mal. And some pointy ears and red arms for Jay.
And if you're asking, "Where's Harry, Gil and What's Her Name?"
Well you didn't think this was the end of the sketching. Did you?

Quinn"Red"- Disguise/vk/isle outfit
Tumblr media
excerpt from my ROR rewrite(its just a draft)- -The camera continues to pan out of Auradon prep and into a nearby rabbit hole, disappearing into a vortex of wonderland magic as the music changes into a more wonderland vibe, going through the scenery of wonderland-the ROR title card appears then- passing by the queen of hearts castle until it goes into the city of hearts, where a girl draped in red and blacks carrying a big duffle bag appears on screen, the camera following her feet until she steps in front of a blank red brick wall. She drops the duffle bag-the ost for rotten to the core starts- taking out several spray cans, and begins to put up her art; mimicking Mal from D1 as she puts up a queen of hearts style of ‘long live evil!’.-
with all the outfits i designed for her, i didn't really give her a....isle kid/proper vk look, and because my version of Red was on the isle till her pre-teens, she is classified as an isle kid and so she needs a proper isle kid outfit, i did want to take inspo from Mal's looks and there's one redesign on here of red where she has these-pants that are separated at the thighs and clip together and i really liked that so i gave that same look to her sleeves and with that she can do the 'detached' sleeves motif that everyone got in d2/3

Hi I really like your descendants fic and your posts, so I have a question. If descendants was a pg16 show that actually did it's worldbuilding what elements would you ADD, which elements would you remove and what would you expand on?
Oooh, this is an interesting question. I'm sorry it took so long to get this answered! (and apologizing in advance for any rambling that takes place)
First things first, I'd want the show to switch between the Isle and Auradon. I am PERFECTLY fine with the main cast staying the main characters from the first three films. So it would be eye-opening, and good for the characters, for the show to have switched between the Auradonians, the Core Four, and the Sea Three.
I'd also want at LEAST the entire first episode, preferably first two or three, to have the Core Four on the Isle. Working with THEIR gang. So we can see what it is like for them to live on the Isle, what its like for them to be around their parents, and how they interact with others, before going straight to Auradon.
Now, Isle-related things.
I definitely know I'd want to add more elements of abuse on the Isle. It's implied in the movies, but they also seem to backtrack at times. (Dizzy's "wicked step-grandmother" comment, and then suddenly portraying Lady Tremaine as caring - the Vk's running to the Isle to see their parents.) It would need to be shown that the Isle is a HORRIBLE place. Physical, emotional.... and other forms of abuse. These things HAPPEN, and they are going to happen on the Isle.
As much as I hate to say it, there is definitely teen pregnancy on the Isle. There's also a lot of death for ALL ages.
Remember Mal's comment about gang activity? Let's see it. Show us the gangs, the fights, the rules, the alliances. Show us the politics on the Isle, and how these are CHILDREN fighting for their lives. Which also means injuries and scars.
There are all sorts of HORRIBLE crimes that people get sent to jail for (I really don't want to type the words since it makes me sick to my stomach), and those people are ON. THE. ISLE. It's not just the villains from the fairy tales on the Isle, its all the criminals as well. There's a lot of reasons the VK's have gangs, and keeping each other safe is one of them.
With that said, not all the VK's are going to be good either. Some of them will end up bad in the end. Just like there are going to be bad people in Auradon.
And then with the barrier, are seasons a thing on the Isle or does the dome mean that the temperature stays relatively the same? Are the summers scorching and winters freezing and dirty, given the pollution over the Isle? Things can't even grow!
How DID the Isle get approved? Was it better in the beginning? Did they just not think that villains could have children? These are questions that need to be answered, because even without purposefully trying to make it dark, the things we know about the Isle are sickening to think about. Nothing can grow, food is always rotten, everything is crumbling, and there is horrible pollution.
What is illness like on the Isle? It can't be good, it would run rampant. I want to see how it's dealt with.
And finally, how does the Isle affect the magical people there? Witches could probably be okay being cut off from magic, but fairies? They are inherently magical. Magic is apart of them. Same goes with Ursula, Morgana, Hades (though he's probably not affected at all). Trolls, dwarves (there have to be some), goblins, pixies, etc. Any on the isle, and their children, how are they affected here? Does Uma feel a loss in her chest when she's near the sea? Does Mal mourn her horns and wings? (and will she ever get any?) Is it painful? Do they get sick when they're in Auradon and finally around all this magic? Because you can't just... get rid of magic. It's going to be there.
Auradon Things:
I would really want to expand on how Auradon came to be. Along with the, likely, war that happened when rounding up the villains cause there's no way that was peaceful.
Politics. I want the politics. How do all these kingdoms work? What political parties are there? How are views on the Isle handled?
Arranged-Marriages are a thing. Not everyone does it, but I feel like we can all agree that some people (*cough*Leah*cough*) believe that they are superior to "Falling in love." I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Audrey and Ben had an arranged marriage.
Abuse. It's not just a thing on the Isle, but it's in Auradon as well, just in a different way. While there's a lot more physical abuse on the Isle, there's verbal and emotional in Auradon. Leah and, though I hate saying it, Beast are perfect examples. Leah constantly puts Audrey down, she makes her feel inferior. Beast made his sixteen year old High King... I'm sure I could find more examples for him but I think that's a pretty big thing right there.
Another thing to expand on is the equality issue in Auradon. The "sidekicks" got the short end of the deal, even though Ben tried to make it better, as the dwarves and animals weren't being PAID. They just worked all the time for the Royals. Magical people have seemed to be pushed aside, like Beast wants them all gone. Jane couldn't even train her with her magic! And she's Fairy Godmother's daughter! The three good fairies and other fairies from Aurora's kingdom are actively having to not use magic. How do Kingdom's like Corona (Ruby has the 70ft hair, so some semblance of magic had to be passed down. Magic is also canonical in Tangled the Series, along with things like DRAGONS), Arendalle, Agrabah, etc. function?
How do things with the gods play out? What is there contract with Auradon, cause I am NOT convinced that they would just let these mortals walk all over them forever. It's one of my biggest issues with Hades on the Isle as well, and why I think there has to be some bigger reason he's on the Isle. (Whether its them waiting for Beast's term to be over, or perhaps something the Fates said)
I'd want to add in how religions play out in Auradon, because all these stories come from different places. There are characters who are canonically religious in their films, good and bad. It's not something you can just erase.
How did Auradon as a whole react when the VK's came over? Were there protests? Was Ben under a lot of heat, or was Beast for letting Ben do this? How were the VK's treated at first? Not everyone was going to be welcoming. Who stood beside Ben, who was neutral, and who went against him?
Then with relationships. Honestly, I really like Mal and Ben, but I'd want to see them develop a relationship. Maybe mention their dreams and hint to the true loves, have them work through the love spell issue, show them dealing with cultural differences. Give them a realistic relationship with more depth.
With Evie, show the expectations her mother would have put on her. Did she have flings? Was she pushed to try to be with any "higher up" Isle male?
Harry and Uma... yeah their together. With the rating up, there is no reason to pretend they aren't or only give small hints. We get to have this relationship and yeah, you know, they are just Harry and Uma.
And when the VKs do come to Auradon, who are their foster parents? Because they have to have someone, right? How is that handled? How are they taken care of?
Then with the abuse they went through, show us the hints. Flinching when there are yells, or when someone goes to touch them. Maybe blank looks, disassociation, just not knowing how to handle relationships! Friendship or with adults! How they see themselves. That stuff does a number on you, even after years. And I understand why Disney didn't go deeply into this, but it also shouldn't just be brushed away. Acknowledging it could have helped just explain some of the VK's actions. (Such as Mal in the third movie, wanting to please the ultimately parental figures around her.)
I really don't think there's much about Descendants that I'd remove, I'd just want to expand on the world and make it... darker, I guess. More realistic vs. sunshine and roses.
(Also. Adding seasons. Seasons EXIST Disney.)

In this medley, Dara Reneé (Descendants: The Rise of Red) sings a comically condensed recap of the entire Descendants trilogy to the tune of Rotten to the Core, Chillin' Like a Villain, and Night Falls.
Interesting they redesigned the VKs and the cast as opposed to the first shorts and Chibiverse.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
❝ Long before Prince - soon to be King - Ben had seen fit to bring four villain kids to Auradon from the Isle of the Lost, Greta had been the original outcast at Auradon Prep. The daughter of Grumpy, that famously cantankerous dwarf who had helped Snow White defeat her evil stepmother, Greta certainly lived up to her father's name. Despite the best efforts of her uncles to instill a more positive personality in her while she was growing up, her outlook on life had still turned out to be a spitting image of her father's: pessimistic, sarcastic, unsympathetic, and, well... grumpy.
And, as could be expected in a land that was meant to be as happily-ever-after blissful as Auradon, this did not exactly make Greta very popular among her peers. Never mind that most of the princesses and princes she went to school with weren't actually half as nice as they seemed - Greta wore her sarcasm and impatience with stupid people on her sleeve, rather than hiding it behind false cheery smiles, so she was the black sheep, the girl her fellow students either hid from when she walked past or talked about in stage whispers when she was around. The only people who even attempted to be nice to her were Prince Ben and her cousins - especially Doug, who appreciated the protection Greta's fearsome scowl sometimes afforded him - and though Greta did appreciate them, there were also times when she wanted to just shake all of them and tell them firmly to stop pitying her, she was fine.
Except... she wasn't, not really - or at least not as much as she wanted everyone else to think. It wasn't that she actually wanted to make friends - or at least not with the prissy princesses and jock princes who would only be fair-weather friends at best. There were just times when it got to be too much, all the whispers and snide comments and younger students ducking around corners when they saw her coming. Times when Greta wished for companionship, for friends that weren't her relatives or the future king who felt sorry for her. Times when she thought she would have done anything just for someone to hang out with and talk to, someone who would smile at her genuinely and talk to her without derision or fear.
And when Ben decided to bring some villain kids over from the Isle of the Lost, Greta finally got that. Here were four people who understood what it was like to be outcasts, who held the same amount of disdain for Auradon's pretty and perfect façade as her. (Or at least three of them did, but Greta couldn't help finding Evie's constant awe at everything in Auradon kind of cute.) The bond between Greta and the group of VKs formed quickly, and when Mal decided to let her in on their mission to steal Fairy Godmother's wand and open the barrier to the Isle of the Lost, it didn't take Greta long at all to agree - how could she not, when the only people who'd ever wanted to be her friends were seeking to get rid of the model of society that had done nothing but reject her?
But as their plan continues to unfold and the VKs find themselves forming new bonds in Auradon, Greta also finds herself building a better relationship with the peers she thought all hated and feared her. However, she remains committed to the plan to steal the wand... only, as she makes more friends and starts to open up a little and even starts to fall in love with the daughter of the woman who almost killed her father, uncles, and godmother, that commitment becomes more tangled, more complicated, harder to stick to but also harder to back out of.
As Ben's coronation draws nearer and nearer, Greta finds herself forced to make a choice: will she and the VKs decide to shed their reputations and finally embrace Auradon... or will they unleash a whole Isle of Villains and prove what so many people think - that they really are rotten to the core? ❞

How I would rewrite the new installation of Descendants:
Rise of Red wasn't terrible so no hate, but this is something I’ve been planing since the first movie came out. This series has been a favorite of mine for ages and this is how I imagined the series continuing.
MCs:
Princess Ace and Prince Jack Hearts: twins, daughter and son of the queen of hearts, have one older sister Rose, and three little siblings, Scarlett, Rex and Queenie (also twins)
Prince Edmund of Andalasia : son of Edward and Nancy from Enchanted, has a little sister Danielle, he gives fairy tale princess low key
Princess Bernadette of the Clan DunBroch: daughter of Merida
Other characters:
Adrien Bonfamille: grandson of Madame Adelaide Bonfamille, owner of Marie and her kittens: Collette, Baptiste and Pierre, he's gonna be the main side character
Ryder Fitzherbert: son of Rapunzel and Eugene
Ginny: daughter of Giselle and Robert
Winter White: daughter of snow white
son of Hans
hatter kid
something from Sofia the first, that show is kinda a banger
Robin hood kid maybe?
Villans:
Rose Hearts
Scarlett Hearts
Winter White
son of Hans (or Frollo?)
Recurring Characters:
magic mirror
the witch from brave
Evie and Doug (love them)
the white rabbit
blue caterpillar
Costuming:
for each costume, I would incorporate key elements from the stories of each characters parents, as well as allowing for personal style
the fits will NOT just be the main colors of their parents, though they will have the main color pallets, they will not be confined to two or three colors
i would experiment with patterns and fabrics to fit the style of each character
obviously the fits are kind of out of this world, but the cool aesthetics will not just be for the vks, but for the auradon kids as well
Story line:
wonderland people will actually be crazy, very 2010 alice core, I really just like the insane vibes
I would like to bring in the magic used in Brave, I think that could be very interesting for a story line
wonderland chaos could be spread
I would also love to explore the magic of snow white and the evil queen
the ONLY active love story would be between Bernadette and Jack, I feel like I just want one and their my ocs
magic mirror playing a major role
maybe a slight hint of romance between Adrien and hatters kid, left for the audience to determine, not in your face but there?
jabberwocky moment!!!
someone has to get turned into a bear
semi book accurate isle exploration
Music:
definitely quirky and dark when pertaining to wonderland, creepy and catchy
song birds for Edmund and Winter
bagpipes!!
sentimental songs not just for one character!
mirror song for sure
hearts kids harmony sing off
so many dance battles (I love choreo)
rotten to the core (wonderland version) (idk why they don't bring this song back more often its the og)
definitely a song about going crazy
lighthearted whimsical but with dark lyrics for spell casting via Winter
hans/or frollo kid rap verse? (harry in wmn core)
need a song when someone gets a makeover, idk who yet but Adrien has to sing it
Lmk what y'all think and what else I should add. Might make this a series if I feel like going deeper into the lore of my head canons and such. :)

You Promised Me Heaven (and put me through hell)
DESCENDANTS AU Y'ALL YESS! Who cheered? (Absolutely nobody lmao). If y'all are wondering I wrote this while listening to the Descendants OST (particularly Rotten To The Core) like God intended. As always, name taken from "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Bon Jovi. If this is a bit all over the place, I'm sorry. It's 1 AM and my beta reader is me, myself and I (not even Grammarly, bro 😭😭😭😭) Anyways enjoy! 💕🌈
TW: implied alcohol and drug use (they're 16 m'kay?), the language is pretty strong (nothing too bad tho) and there are mentions go throwing up.
Will's day began shitty, like always. His head throbbed and, distantly, he could hear his father, Lonnie Byers, scream about whatever it was that had angered him today. Will groaned, another day in The Isle of the Lost aka where every villain and their children - the Villain Kids or VKs for short - lived. The Isle of the Lost was an island (if it could even be called such) in the middle of the fucking ocean with no WIFI, no electricity and no way out. It also had an extremely clear view of Auradon, the place where all the perfect little princes and princesses lived their happily ever after; while all the VKs where left to rot in the lame ass excuse of a home.
Will's head felt like it was about to explode, he definitely drank too much last night. He considered going back to sleep but he knew that if he woke up now, his father would most likely scream at Will to make himself useful but he also knew that if he didn't wake up the his father would scream at him for being a lazy ass. So if his father was good to scream at him regardless of what he did, he'd rather wake up now and annoy his friends sleeping next to him. He kicked the sleeping person next to him, his best friend Max Mayfield. She gasped and her eyes flew open. Will cackled maliciously and received a playful punch to the arm.
"You asshole!" she shrieked "Your feet are so fucking cold!"
The person next to Will stirred and cursed.
"Can both of you just shit the fuck up? Some of us are trying to sleep, right El?" the person, Lucas Sinclair, cursed.
"Yeah! Don't you think it's a bit early to be screaming?" El Hopper chided, rubbing her bleary eyes.
"Tell my Dad that. He was the one who woke me up." quipped Will.
As if on queue, Lonnie began to call their names with fury.
"What did we do now?" moaned El.
"Well, we stole Argyle's stash, we wrecked Robin's restaurant, we also stole a bunch of shit from a bunch of places, we also-" listed Lucas off with irony.
"Yeah, ok, fine, we get it Lucas. Thank you." snapped Max.
"Wow, someone is in a mood today." laughed El pressing a kiss to Max's cheek.
"Ugh, get off me." Max grumbled just for Lucas to grab her hand.
Will looked away, they were a group of 4 and 3 of them were dating each other. So Will, as the poor single schmuck that he was, was stuck having to bare their terribly sappy flirting. Deep down, he was happy for them but he'd rather kiss Ursula's tentacle than admit it. Will cleared his throat and signaled for them to follow him to the living room/kitchen/second bedroom/bathroom.
Lonnie was a thin man, with a stubble and salt-and-pepper hair. The man was grinning like a madman next to Jonathan, Will's older brother, who was shaking his head, amused.
"Hey, Dad." said Will, strutting through the long singular table occupying most of the space. His black boots breaking several stolen trinkets under his weight.
His dad didn't even bother to even wave at him. Will kept a neutral expression, but it stung a little, being ignored by even his own father. Weren't parents supposed to love their kids unconditionally? This rule, apparently did not apply to his father.
"Everyone, SHUT THE FUCK UP!" yelled Lonnie and everyone turned to look at him "I have news. As everyone already knows, the crown prince of Auradon Michael Wheeler will be crowned king in 1 month."
Will grit his teeth, he detested that prince. He had detested him ever since their first and only meeting.
It all began when a group of VKs tried to break the barrier surrounding the Isle, unsuccessfully. This event ended in thousands of innocent VKs and villains being slaughtered by King Theodore's knights. One of these villains had been Will's own mother.
"Oohhhh, how delightful, truly." Cooed Max with mockery. Lucas snorted and Will snickered. Why should they care? As if that affected them in anyway.
"And so, he has done his first proclamation: to allow 4 villain kids to go to Auradon. These 4 villain kids are the son of Charles Sinclair, the daughter of Susan Mayfield, the daughter of Captain Jim Hopper and finally, my youngest son."
The following silence was deafening. Nobody dared to say anything. Finally Will spoke up.
"They want us to go to Auradon?" he asked.
"Son, listen to me, this my- our chance to fight back against our oppressors and the people who killed your mother. You and Jonathan can have your revenge, and show the world you are your father's sons. All you guys need to do is steal Fairy Godmother's wand and with it, break the barrier." Lonnie told Will.
Max and El were having a silent conversation while Lucas was having his card reads by his younger sister, Erica.
"But Dad-" Will tried to say.
"No buts, William. Show me you truly deserve the title of being the son of the cruelest villain in the whole Isle."
Will sighed "Fine, we'll go. We'll do it. Whatever."
"When the fuck are we leaving, anyways?" scoffed Max.
"Maxine, language!" chided Susan, while doing her nails.
"Mom, I told you to call me Max!" Snapped her daughter
Lonnie ignored their bickering.
"Well, Maxine" - Max huffed, annoyed - "to answer your question, you are leaving today. Now, even." Stated Lonnie with a grin.
Everyone gaped at the man.
"Now, regarding your bags. I've already taken care of that and the limo is already waiting for you outside." Lonnie stayed as he ushered Max and Lucas outside
Will seemed to snap out of his daze.
Limo? Now? Did his dad really pack their bags? Why the fuck would the damn prince choose them?
Will vaguely registered El giving her dad a hug and following Max out of the door..
Lonnie grabbed him by his leather jacket.
"What are you waiting for, son?" demanded his father. "This is our chance, don't you see? We could have the world at our very feet. I'd you don't blow it, of course."
"I won't, I swear." Will reassured him.
His father grunted and shoved him out the door.
Will was faced with absolute chaos.
Jonathan was in a heated discussion with a smartly dressed man, who Will guessed was the driver.
"I don't care if your Dad is a fucking king! In the Isle you have no domains or right to tell me to fuck off! This is my damn home!" screamed Jonathan, jabbing a finger in the man's torso.
The man growled at Jonathan and huffed indignantly.
"Fucking villain kids." He scoffed.
Will entered the limousine where Max boasted of how he stole the driver's wallet.
"It's says here, that this is Prince Steve Harrington! Son of, ooooohhhh, the Beast!" Max quirked an eyebrow "That's why he is so hairy!"
"Punch him in the face! Come on, Jonathan, I'm rooting for you!'' yelled El
Apparently, Jonathan had gotten into a fist-fight with Steve.
Half an hour later, Steve entered the limo looking pissed.
"Give me that!" Harrington said as he snatched his wallet from Lucas' hand. Sadly, his money was long gone.
-----
The moment they stepped out of the limo, several things happened:
1. Max puked on the floor.
2. Will trying not to step on the vomit, tried to jump over the disgusting puddle but tripped over and fell on top of someone
3. That someone turned out to be the Michael Wheeler.
Will blushed, he literally had the man pinned on the ground. Now that Will had the chance to stare without being weird or creepy, he noticed the man's attractiveness. Michael had a splatter of freckles across the bridge of his strong nose and high cheeks. His face was framed by elegantly styled, black curls. Michael's face was surprisingly red, was his face always that red?
Will decided to get up and got to stand next to his friends. Max was already standing up looking defensive.
"Wow, your friend sure gets carsick easily, huh? I take it you don't ride car ride very often" chuckled Michael
Lucas snorted and El fell into a fit of laughter.
"You hear that Max? We mustn't rides cars that often?" laughed El, wiping the tears of her eyes.
Will couldn't tell if Michael was joking or not.
"What did I say?'' Mike asked to the guy next to him.
"I dunno." shrugged the other.
"Well, you said that we don't ride cars often. Of course we don't. In fact we've never done that, before. It's a small Isle, in which we don't even have electricity. You think we'd have cars?" sneered Will.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I-". Mike tried to apologize. Will felt that the man was genuinely sorry about that. But in the Isle, you don't trust anybody, even if at first glance they look harmless.
Will sighed, it was going to be a long month.

The core four returned to the Isle once more: to promote the VK Day with a nice presentation, they said. (The Auradon adults smiled and nodded and let them go; Uma scoffed at her scrying surface.)
Of course, there would be nothing like a presentation, no way in hell would Isle kids deem to pay attention to that. No.
There would be an Evil Ball – one Uma planned to attend.
It'd be easy: They open the Barrier, Uma slides back in, just like last time. Back to her crew, and the Rotten Four would be none the wiser.
So she swam to the Isle from the other way the Auradon laid, for the first time in months. Her chest hurt, as if she struggled to breathe, which, of course, was impossible. She was not under the Barrier yet.
There – it flickered. Gold lightning ran down the shimmering Barrier and Uma reached out to it, sticking her nails into the scar. Then the other hand, ignoring the clammy sensation on her fingertips. (A moment, and she will be without her magic again, trapped – one moment, and she will be with her crew, where she belongs.)
She propels herself forward.
The Barrier slides over her body and locks her in and Uma has no time to think about it, swimming fast towards the surface. Towards Revenge.
Bartholomew meets her halfway there, and she laughs, playfully hitting the creature on the side and grabbing his fin. She's by her ship now, and she's feeling giddy, giddier than magic ever made her.
She gives Bartholomew one last pet and pulls herself up on board by the ladder that her crew usually leaves down for her. (They left it down all this time – Uma's chest hurts again.)
She sits on the railing, letting the faint sun of the Isle shine on her skin, and just taking in the sight. The Revenge, gloomy and glistening with fairy lights, the docs with the crew's motto all over.
She doesn't have time to reminisce any longer:
Disbelieving „Uma?!“ sounds through the air, followed by a thud of heavy object falling down. The next moment, she's envelope in a warm hug from Gil, who must have been keeping watch.
„Uma!“ he laughs as he spins her around the deck, and she laughs too.
„Harry!“ Gil calls out for most of the port to hear, „Everyone! Uma is back!“
It's only lucky the Rotten Four should be rather busy at the moment – Uma finds she can't care for that any longer.
Her crew surrounds her, each of them welcoming her, some of them bowing their heads slightly, until Harry pushes them all away and they scatter, laughing.
„Uma,“ he says, turning his hook in his hands, dragging the tip over his palm, „Uma.“
There is a slight waver in his voice, a question he doesn't dare to ask; Uma smiles and answers anyway:
„That's my name,“ her voice cracks a bit at the phrase, „Harry.“
She nods and he hugs her too, like the world would end if he wouldn't: a rock falls of her chest as he holds her close and mutters her name over and over into her hair.
„My love, you're back,“ he whispers so quietly it hurts, and Uma doesn't answer, only hugging him tighter too.
It takes time to plan an Evil Ball, doesn't it?
They have time.
