Another reason why D3 has problems: its soundtrack- yes it blessed us with Queen of Mean and i will admit, Night Falls is a good song- but the soundtrack just.....seems confused? Like there’s different genres in some sense, let alone there being songs that if you took them out of the film, the film wouldnt be effected at all (looking at daddy issues the song here.....let alone one kiss in some sense.....) and the big finale song, Break This Down, just.....doesn’t seem finale worthy? Like yeah, its kind of a good song, but it just.....seems like a weird final song choice for the movie (excluding the credits song, Dig a Little Deeper cover done by China which at least gave us more China singing)
Plus you got the obvious problems with the first song of the movie, Good to be Bad: an iffy song considering the whole VK Day thing and the auto-tuning that went down in the song- let alone when it came to our Mal solo.....it was just boring and i cant even bring myself to listen to it again cause all i remember is that they tried to make Mal maybe regret lying.....but then it soon enough it just became Pity Me the song when at this point, i felt zero pity for her cause a song just doesn’t make me feel pity for a character who willingly lied to her friends faces and tried to act like she had no choice in the matter when confronted.
And then you got the songs that just dont effect the plot at all: Daddy Issues the song, aka Do What You Gotta do, and Evie’s One Solo and its About Kissing a Guy, aka One Kiss-  both of which were kinda hyped in that magazine that went about.....but just turned out to be pointless songs that can be removed and still not effect the movie- Do What You Gotta Do was just there to have Hades sing at least, but was basically what alot of frozen was: talking in the form of singing- and even then the song itself is just Meh- Hades is good but Mal is annoying in the song and the entire song can be removed and nothing will be changed in terms of movie- and One Kiss? YAY EVIE SOLO.....but its about kissing Doug who even after being woken up, didnt effect the plot of the movie.....so basically, this song was pointless and Evie deserved a better solo.
And then you got the short songs: Did I Mention and Happy Birthday......Happy Birthday was creepily well done so that gets a thumbs up from me.....and Did I Mention made me feel bad for Audrey, they sung in front of her the song that was her humiliation in the first movie- and thats ignoring that the entire VK Day thing was turned into Ben’s proposal to Mal as well......
And i dont really count the extra songs on the soundtrack- VK Mashup and Rotten to the Core D3 remix, let alone the credits song, cause again, we got more of China singing at least......and the remix plus the VK Mashup.....its meh- its basic youtube stuff with the mashup, let alone the remix being a lil good but also being confusing on the main fours lyrics being a lil weird, let alone harry’s style of singing.....but again, they extras more like so.....not really apart of the movie overall....
But i guess the soundtrack being a mess makes sense.....since the movie the soundtrack is apart off is also a mess......so match made in heaven i guess.
