It is complete! They move!
Nevermind the character model inconsistencies and the fact that I had no idea of what I was doing most of the time lol
(Based on the fountain scene from Princess Diaries 2,,,, with changes)

Starstruck
This was requested by @thisonetimeinmeridian ... I think. I have so many requests oh my gosh. The prompt was a Rufflout fic where Ruffnut is a broadway star, and Snotlout is completely enamoured by her.
Snotlout kept his gaze transfixed on the stage, completely mesmerized by the gorgeous blonde actress currently on stage. He had never read… whatever nerdy novel this musical was based off of, but he was completely in love with this play. Not that he could tell you what it was about if you asked him in the morning, his attention was entirely fixated on the girl standing at centre stage.
Her long blonde braids swung behind her as she danced with one of the other actors, the light reflecting off her hair, almost creating a halo around her. She wore a long black dress and sneakers, though even without heels she rivalled everyone else’s height. The way she moved was hypnotizing, keeping Snotlout completely enamoured with her. She wasn’t like anyone he had seen before.
Suddenly, the music stopped, and her character pulled out a gun, the metal reflecting in the fluorescent lights as she held it to her counterpart’s throat. Her blue eyes narrowed as she glared at the man, and Snotlout held his breath, though it wasn’t because of the enticing climax.
“So, what do you think?” Hiccup asked, whispering as not disrupt the other audience members. Snotlout shoved him away, his gaze never leaving the actress. She was amazing, truly capturing every emotion perfectly, and Snotlout couldn’t help but wonder which of her many faces was her own.
She circled the male actor, a threatening grin dancing on her face. She finally stopped, gazing out into the audience. The stage lights flickered out, one by one until a single one rested on her thin frame. She looked over the man’s shoulder, and Snotlout could’ve sworn her stone cold gaze landed on him as she delivered her final line; “This is only the beginning.”
The curtains slowly began to close, stealing the actors and their story away. She kept her gaze locked on him, and if a hint of a smirk was playing on her lips, she was talented enough to hide it.
Snotlout remained in his seat, utterly astonished by the girl whose name he didn’t know, as the rest of the crowd cheered, standing up and applauding. Their cheers echoed throughout the large building, reverberating off the walls and ringing like thunder throughout the room.
Snotlout was deaf to them, however, as the girl’s voice rang through his mind like a mantra. He had never believed in fate, but he couldn’t help but feel like those words were intended for him.
He quickly turned towards his cousin, practically yelling over the fading screams of the crowd, “What did you say that actor’s name was?” he asked. The drive to the theatre had drolled on for what seemed like hours, thanks to rush hour Manhattan traffic, so Hiccup had began geeking out about all the evidently famous actors preforming that night. Snotlout hadn’t payed much, or any attention, really, keeping his focus on screaming at every driver that dared to pass him.
He had never cared about the theatre, but this girl could change that entirely. Assuming he even got to see her again, and with the hundreds of people scrambling towards the door leading to the backstage, he doubted it.
Hiccup rolled his eyes, flopping back into his seat, “You’re gonna have to be a little more specific, considering that there were over fifty cast members.” he said sarcastically, earning another punch from Snotlout.
“You know who I mean.” he grumbled, having been called out by his cousin several times that evening for paying more attention to the girl than the plot. “The secret agent one.” he added, not giving Hiccup a chance to make another joke.
“I believe his name was Finn Ingerman.” Hiccup said with a chuckle. Snotlout glared at the auburn haired boy sitting next to him, “Not what I meant.” He bit, annoyed with Hiccup’s sarcastic wit.
“Oh, so now you care about my knowledge of this play.” Hiccup retorted, rolling his eyes slightly, honestly, could Snotlout go anywhere without looking for a date? “Raquel Thorston, and no, you don’t have a chance. She’s an amazing actor and you’re…” he trailed off, biting back a chuckle, “You.”
“Funny.” Snotlout seethed, ripping his leather jacket off the seat as he stood, preparing to leave. Hiccup rolled his eyes once more, exasperated by his cousin’s obsession with… well, pretty much any girl he laid eyes on. But there was something different this time, though Snotlout wasn’t sure what it was.
Snotlout shook those thoughts from his mind, shrugging on his jacket, and resigning himself to the fact that he would probably never see her again. After all, she was internationally renowned, and he was a beat cop from Brooklyn, even he knew he stood no chance there.
Snotlout tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for Hiccup to grab his stuff, gazing around the room, still filled with hundreds of fans clamouring to catch another glimpse of the stars. One fan caught his eye, his dreadlocks whipping wildly behind him as he shoved his way through the crowd. “What a muttonhead.” he commented, having been to enough concerts to know that the blond boy would be kicked out in a matter of minutes.
Hiccup moved his gaze to where Snotlout’s was, his face breaking out into a smile as he saw the boy, “Tuff!” he called, waving his arms to catch the boy’s attention. “Tuff? What kinda name is that?” Snotlout said. Their neighbourhood in downtown Brooklyn was known for their horrendous nicknames, though Snotlout couldn’t help but feel the name Tuff was strange even for them.
“Right, because Snotlout and Hiccup are so much better.” Hiccup said, gesturing for Tuff to join them.
Tuffnut stopped, shoving a tall man out of his way as he turned to look in Hiccup’s direction. His face broke out into a large grin as he excitedly waved towards Hiccup, “Hiccy, my man!” he called, weaving his way towards his childhood friend. He stumbled towards them, after being roughly shoved past a group of teenagers desperate to get an autograph from someone Snotlout had never heard of.
Snotlout let out a laugh at the nickname, “Wow cuz, didn’t think it could get worse than Hiccup but…” he said. Hiccup rolled his eyes in response, turning to face Tuff. “Hey Tuck, haven’t seen you since high school.” Hiccup said, glad to see his childhood friend again.
“Yep. You’re not quite the runt ya used to be.” Tuff, or Tuck as he was called now, commented, laughing slightly as he turned to Snotlout, “Wait a second, are you that cop that broke up my sick party last week?” he asked, his eyes narrowing in recognition.
Snotlout rolled his eyes, “Depends, were you the muttonhead who set that beachball on fire and tossed it onto a garage roof?” he chucked slightly at that, the party really was legendary, and if he hadn’t been on duty, he probably would’ve stayed for a few hours. “I’m Scott by the way, or Snot, as most of my friends call me.” he said. While most looked for a chance to ditch their nicknames, Snotlout wore his like a badge of honour.
Tuffnut laughed, before glancing down at his phone, the screen illuminating through the still dark auditorium as a text appeared on the screen. “Ah, my dumb sister is waiting for me. Said something about an after party, I’d love to ditch, but there’s gonna be pizza so…” Tuff trailed off, glancing back towards the crowd, only slightly smaller than before. His face seemed to light up with an idea as he whipped his head back towards his friends, “Hey, do you guys wanna come with me?” he asked.
Snotlout shrugged towards Hiccup, silently agreeing. Not that he had ever been known to pass up a party. Plus he figured it might be good, give him a chance to find another girl before this one permanently claimed a spot in his heart. He was never going to see her again, and the sooner he moved on, the less pain he would endure.
Why was he so captivated by her anyway? He had had more girlfriends than probably any other guy in New York, and could move on rather quickly, what made her so special? There was something about her, whether it was her skill or the carefree yet fearless heir surrounding her, he didn’t know. But she was unlike any other girl he had seen before, as anyone could tell without so much at uttering a word to her.
Part 2 should be posted soon, just wanted to get this posted though!

Okay so like a month/month and a half ago I was bored at work and let my mind wander while cleaning (as I frequently do, my brain constantly jumps from thing to thing when I'm bored) and accidentally created an AU I've been obsessing over since. It started out as me wondering what would happen if Miraculous Ladybug was in the same universe as DC (specifically the "takes bits and pieces from different things because the actual comics usually have me screaming no because of the bullshit they do to my babies and anyway I like Teen Titans (2003) and Young Justice and the animated movies so I'm gonna amalgamate them a bit" verseI made with Mal that's constantly going in my head). But nothing really changed so I kept doing things and wound up combining two things that didn't need to be put together and made Marinette not exist in the verse and- That was when I realized I had a problem but really didn't care. Sooo since I'm not doing great today I decided I'm just making a long probably rambling post for this verse because maybe it'll make me feel better. -Chara and Mal came to earth when they were nine and got adopted by Bruceman almost instantly -Dickiebird is two years older than them but Chara will always claim "oldest" when coming up with plans and is questioned on who put her in charge and he really doesn't fight her on it because she's definitely the most responsible -Idk the actual age differences between everyone in the batfam so I'm making up my own -Ironically enough, when Mal and Chara first got into the heroing thing, Chara's chosen alias was Ladybug. Because she liked ladybugs -Mal and Chara spent their first four years on earth trying to find their father, then never actually went to see him once they did because they were both nervous -Plus Jason had just been taken in and they wanted to get to know their new little bro -Jay's a year younger than them -Another year after that, when Mal and Chara were thirteen, Chara almost died -Mal and Dickie had already decided to move to Jump for awhile and try being heros without The Bat, and Chara decided to let Ladybug die (since the villains already thought she was) for awhile so she could see what a normal life was like -She then sought out her father to actually meet him -Who lived in Paris with his wife -They own a bakery -You have to see where this is going -The girls' mother Miranda visited earth at one point (for science) and wound up "dating" (it was like a week lmao so I'm not sure it counts as dating) Tom Dupain while she was there -Then after she left she found out she was pregnant and he wound up meeting Sabine Cheng -Also Miranda seemed to have a thing for accidentally having half human kids after visiting earth -Because that had happened before with some other human -Except the father of those ones knew about it -So she kept one (Valerie) and let the father keep one on earth -And there we have Slade -Because I just like torturing my babies by having him related to them too damn much -Anyway -So Chara goes and surprises her dad with her existence -But he and Sabine are both more than happy to let her live with them -Chara had already thought of Bruceman as her dad (and Selina as a mom tbh) and now she has another mom and dad and it was great -Mal came by to meet them and it was great -I should write that tbh -French is one of the languages Chara hadn't picked up working in the batfam so she had to learn there -This leads to slip-ups and uncertain stuttering that Chloe makes fun of her for relentlessly -Chloe still a bitch -She manages to have a normal life for a full year!!! -Then mysteriously gets these earrings that turn her into a superhero themed like- get this- a ladybug -Oh the irony -I feel I've gotten more sarcastic as this post goes on -Also she gets her first crush on a sweet cinnamon roll model boy and made friends with a girl who really likes superheros -In case you couldn't tell that's Adrien and Alya -Chara can talk to Adrien better than Marinette can in the show -She still stammeres a lot but it's not nearly as bad and it's usually blamed on her not knowing the language confidently yet -She pretty quickly settles into her role as Ladybug again -She even likes Chat Noir's stupid puns -Not that she'd tell him while they're battling akumas -Then Jay dies -And she's sadder than normal but no one knows why exactly -Because she's pretty private about her life and family back in Gotham -Anyway over the next few years she becomes pretty good friends with Alya and Nino and Adrien while doing the hero thing with Chat -Because I have a soft spot for the MariChat branch, that is definitely a thing -Chat likes to see what "Purrrincess" is up to because she's less stuttery and more jokey for some reason when he's Chat instead of Adrien??? -The reason being Chara knows Chat won't make fun of her for her language slip-ups because he hadn't while she's LB -Either way Chat likes seeing her like that -And Chara comes to appreciate his jokes and just him in general -And she kinda gives up on Adrien because surely if it was meant to be it would be easier -And Chat's accepted LB doesn't want to be anything more than friends -So one day while they're hanging in Chara's room Chat kisses her -And then they're making out on her bed -And it becomes a thing -And a couple weeks later Chara shows up one day covered in hiccies -So does Adrien -Neither offers an explanation and Chara doesn't seem to be upset by seeing hiccies by the collar of his shirt so everyone assumes they hooked up, which is truer than Chara realizes -Chara winds up telling Alya it was actually Chat and holy hell Alya totally flips -"GIRL HOW THE HELL HAVE YOU WOUND UP WITH CHAT FREAKING NOIR!!!" -Chara shushes her and tells her it's not like that -Really they're just friends with benefits because surely Chat, who seemed to flirt with everyone (though if she payed attention, she'd see it was only her as Chara and LB) wouldn't want to actually DATE her -Jump to a few months later, LB and Chat finally defeated Hawkmoth -They agreed to not reveal Gabriel's identity, as long as he gave up the moth miraculous -LB was very reluctant to do this, which confused Chat -Chat, after finding out HM was Gabe and his reason for wanting the cat and ladybug miraculouses was to bring his mom back bc he's even worse with Emotions (tm) than Bats, wanted to give him a second chance, and was confused why LB (not knowing she was trained by Bats and lived in Gotham) is so reluctant to give a second chance -After they leave Chara decides to reveal herself to Chat because without HM as a problem anymore that shouldn't be an issue and really it's been nearly four years and she really REALLY likes him so -Chat is just stunned because shit his lady and his purrincess are one and the same and wait he kissed Ladybug and she actually was interested in him just not while they were fighting and fuck his father was the guy they've been up against for the last four years she DEFINITELY wouldn't be in him now -Chara sees the shock on his face and, because she's pretty confident in herself, assumes he wasn't as ready for a reveal and tells him not to tell him who he is yet, he clearly isn't ready -Chat just kisses her and detransforms anyway and Chara's the one who's shocked -Jump again to a few weeks later when Chara goes on a visit to Gotham as she does every few months -She's kept up well with the growing Batfamily and keeps a good relationship with all of them -She acts as a mother to all of them, including Dick -She's pretty protective of Timmy -Damian wouldn't admit it, but she's actually his favorite -She's not judgmental of the fact he grew up an assassin or telling him constantly to not kill people, and actually gives him tips on how to adapt (which she'd used herself after coming to earth), and she's not always around so he doesn't have to deal with constant hugs, only when she's visiting, so it's a manageable amount -Jay's the only one she hasn't kept up with, and that's only because no one told her he came back -So Chara comes for one of her visits and brings Adrien and Alya and Nino (who've been informed of their secret identities) -Almost immediately there's an attack at the coffee shop they stop in by a fairly weak villain -Probably Riddler or smthn -Chara Ladybugs up and kicks his ass within two minutes -Cue people cheering and being excited at seeing Ladybug again -AGAIN -Chara goes back to Chara and Alya just -"GIRL YOU GOT SOME 'SPLAININ' TO DO" -Chara hesitates then takes the distraction of noticing someone -That someone winds up being Jay -He'd heard what was going off then sprinted off when he saw it was taken care of -Chara chases -Confused af when she sees it's Jay -But also excited because her first little brother is ALIVE -And she's just chattering and hugging him -And then he starts bawling and she's not sure why -But she's rocking him and muttering soothing nonsense and petting his hair -And he's curled in her lap like a little kid and just sobbing and holding onto her and he's just so happy someone's loving him and caring about him -Once he calms down he tells her that he had come back and the whole story with that and how after he hadn't followed the no kill rule a few times and the rest of the family was weary at best towards him -Mal was nice enough to him at least but still it wasn't great -Chara just keeps holding him and rocking him and assuring him that he's still part of the family and more importantly he's still her little brother and she'll always be his big sister -She reminds him how before she moved to Paris she promised she'd be there for him whenever he needed and says that still applies -The others finally find where she'd went and she tells them everything -Bruceman might be mad but shhhh he can deal she trusts them with her life -They finally make it to Wayne Manor and they all get along pretty damn well -Even Jay -I should write that too -Aaaand that's all for now

Kintsugi 12
So this installment is semi-inspired by / dedicated to @animeotaku-bookworm and I say semi because they had requested a sick thing with Jack being ill however Hiccup has done tons of stuff for Jack so now it’s time to pay it back…again…And this is going to be a two parter…depends on how I feel with the ending.
Also I apologize for being so…gone but hopefully I’ll start updating regularly again…or as regularly as I had been doing and I’m totally bummed that I missed Hijack March Madness this year :c
Jack glanced up as the front door closed heavily and he glanced toward the clock. Seemed the shindig had run late this evening. He stayed leaning against the counter, where he’d been going over things on his laptop, listening to the familiar sounds of shoes being kicked off and then the entry closet opening and closing shortly after, followed by the very distinct sound of small zombie shuffles through the living room. The small zombie was dragging something, probably the dreaded school bag. Emma came into view as she moved through the home.
“Hey kiddo.” Jack greeted with a small smile. “You guys were later than usual?”
Emma nodded and rubbed her head with a small yawn. “Yeah Miss Merida was really tired so she was slow today.” The brunette climbed up onto one of the stools at the breakfast counter and set her bag on the one next to her.
The blue-eyed man frowned slightly. “Why was she so tired?”
“Um,” Emma dug through her bag for a moment with a frown on her face before pulling out her science folder. “Hiccy is sick and she was trying to help him…I think.”
“Hiccup’s sick?” Jack repeated in surprise.
Emma nodded absently. “Yeah, cold or something?” She laid the folder out and started to go through the pages slowly. “Miss Merida says he’s really stubborn and won’t go see a doctor or nothing.”
“Or anything.” Jack corrected absently with a frown. “You…do your homework and I’m gonna…make a phone call.”
Emma seemed to have stopped listening as she dug around in her pack for a pencil to write with, they were covering the solar system and Emma found it funny that her brother thought Pluto was a planet. He watched her for a moment before grabbing his phone and stepping onto the back porch. He hesitated for a long moment before tapping the icon and bringing the phone up to his ear.
“Sorry about gettin’ her back late.” Merida said immediately.
“What? Oh, no that’s not why I’m calling.” Jack responded with a frown.
Merida was quiet for a moment before letting out a small sigh. “Sorry about that Jackie-boy, been a bit behind. Wut can I do far ya?”
Jack hesitated for a moment. Was it too rude to ask about what was going on? But wasn’t that what people did in a small town? Care about each other? He made a small sound of contemplation as Merida waited patiently on the other end. “Emma said something about you were sick?”
“Oh, nah Hiccup went an’ got ‘imself sick.” Merida answered with a small laugh. “Told tha fool not tae be muckin’ about in tha rain fixin’ fences. But he’s stubborn as can be.” She hummed in amusement. “Gits it frum his dad.”
“Yeah, that sounds like him. How sick are we talking about? Just a small head cold or maybe something a little more?” Jack prompted.
Merida made a thoughtful noise and Jack heard the sound of a door opening and then keys rattling. She must have just gotten home. There were a few more doors before a quiet conversation was heard and a rather nasty cough down the line. “Wull, he’s not eaten anythin’ and he’s got fever, sniffles, and probably stomach things. Real nasty piece of work.”
“He needs to eat something.” Jack said after a moment of thought. “What’s he tried?”
“Canned soup broth stuff.” Merida answered automatically and grinned at Jack’s indignant, and possibly offended, snort. “Well wee’re not all Betty Crocker yanno.”
“You’re going to starve him to death or make him dehydrated. Something…I don’t know.” Jack muttered angrily. “I’ll be over in thirty minutes and make sure that kitchen is clean enough for me to use it.”
Merida laughed and bid Jack a farewell before the two hung up. He stood for a moment and tapped his toes against the cool wood of the deck in thought. He could take Emma with him and keep her and Merida confined in the living room…but that put the kid at a high risk of getting it. He’d been warned that while she was still recovering from the car accident there was a high chance of her being more susceptible to catching colds. Finally, he came back into the house and glanced toward his sister before tilting his head in thought. Maybe, Rapunzel would be willing to look after her for the night…
Jack frowned and shook his head. He’d have to take Emma with him. It wouldn’t be fair to drop her on his neighbor so suddenly. Open door policy or not. With his decision made he turned and started to grab things from the cabinets and put them into one of his many transport totes. The movements made Emma stop what she was doing and she watched him curiously.
“What are you doing Jack?” she asked as he dug through various things in the crisper drawer.
“We’re going over to Merida’s and Hiccup’s place. They can’t cook and Merida is giving him canned soup.” Jack answered as if it were a personal outrage.
Emma wrinkled her nose. “Ew, can soup is yucky.”
“Very yucky.” Jack agreed before making a circular motion with his hand toward his sister. “Put your things back into your bag. You can do your homework over there.”
Emma grinned and hastily put her things away before shoving them into her back with her textbooks and workbooks. Quickly she hurried to get her shoes on so they’d be faster at leaving.
 xXx
Jack stood in a kitchen that was slowly becoming very familiar to him. Emma and Merida were seated at the dining room table each of them with school related things in front of them while Hiccup had been all but swaddled into blankets and forced onto the couch. Sure, Jack would have preferred that Hiccup stay in bed but the taller male was being surprisingly childish. At least he was no longer contagious. He was being rather quiet and seemed to mostly be dozing now that a cool washcloth was on his forehead.
Blue eyes darted over to the pot on the stove to check the progress of the chicken and he nodded, absently pleased. The chicken, onions and crushed garlic cloves were cooking nicely in the oil and Jack absently figured he had enough time to finish the rest of the vegetables. He’d already peeled and sliced the carrots, now he was working on dicing his just peeled kohlrabi, then he’d have to move quickly to dice the celery. Once done he turned back to the pot and nodded absently before adding water then white wine and finally lemon juice to the mixture.
“You aren’t allergic to anything, are you?” Jack asked, glancing toward Merida.
The redhead looked thoughtful for a moment before shaking her head. “Nah, nothin’ I saw in yer box anyway.”
Jack nodded and turned back to soup where he added more ingredients including ginger, bay leaves and a few other things before bringing it to simmer. Once it was satisfactory he dropped the temperature down to the mid-range and moved to check on Hiccup.
“Hey, how are you feeling?” Jack asked as he reached out to check on the fever. He also gave Toothless a soft pat on the head as the large dog laid with his head in his human’s lap to try and comfort him.
“Your hands are cold.” Hiccup murmured tiredly. “Feels nice.”
Jack grinned. “I get that a lot.” He pressed one hand against Hiccup’s forehead while he dipped the washcloth back into the bowl of ice water to refresh it. “But that didn’t answer my question. Does your throat still hurt?”
Hiccup made a sound of disagreement as he leaned heavily into Jack’s touch. “’m good.” Slowly hazy green eyes opened to peer up at Jack fuzzily. “Hungry…I think.”
“You probably are with the water crap Merida’s been giving you.” Jack teased.
“Oi!” Merida protested from her seat. “Not a cooker Jackie-boy!”
Emma tried to cover her giggles and failed spectacularly at it earning her a ball of paper thrown at her. She squawked and threw the ball back at her teacher and Jack ignored the small war that broke out between the two girls. Jack lingered for a few minutes longer by Hiccup’s side before moving away to stop the war and check on Emma’s progress with her homework. Luckily she had one of her teachers just across the table so she was doing rather well with it and Jack smiled before ruffling her hair. Emma made an offended noise and tried to push her brother away but only really succeeded in pushing her own chair back an inch or so.
“So wut are ya makin’?” Merida asked after a moment or two.
Jack glanced up. “Nothing fancy really.”
The redhead gave him a flat look. “Ya say nothin’ fancy but ya brought…wut 20 somethin’ ingredients? Not tae mention all tha herbs and such.”
“It’s just a ginger chicken noodle soup.” Jack protested with a small frown. “And it’s 22 ingredients…21 if you don’t count the two different ways I use the garlic.”
Merida laughed a bit and shook her head. “Yer a special case o’ crazy Jackie-boy.”
