So then you have to retrain it a little and head off to other mutually-exclusive topics so that you can keep the parts of the recommendations you like and stay far, far, far, away from the stuff you don't like. Freshen up the recommendations, shake out the dust and bugs

Y’know, I wonder if anyone genuinely got into Hermitcraft because of Decked Out 2? Like, with close to zero knowledge of the server or DO’s development, maybe the Tango vid popped up on recommend, you click into it and holy shit this is done in Minecraft SURVIVAL? With the voices? Sound effects? Custom items? And there’s a competition that you can follow live? Hours and hours of runs from different people you can binge? Hell yeah!

And ngl, I think it would be fun to get into Decked Out as a newbie especially in the heyday when someone was streaming basically every day, Tango’s phase updates, the detailed spreadsheet, the prominent runners emerging, all of this happening live— like it would be so much fun to presume these artefacts are randomly named but they’re actually based after members of the server that you do not know and not recognise, but hey, one step at a time! Slowly memorising the names of hermits based on the Easter eggs about the artefacts. At first feeling overwhelmed by all the different heads at the scoreboard but slowly recognising the standouts and what they’re known for— perhaps they’re “washed up”, perhaps they use a certain card, perhaps they search for the eggs. Binging run after run and learning about the runners as they explore the dungeon. Matching eggs to hermits to artefacts to hermits again and their voices and their channels. Catching up on hour long vods and learning about what the hermits do outside of running. Watching Tango’s construction process videos knowing exactly how it turns out in the end.

DO2 was such a dominating part of HC that recontextualising them as “Decked Out players” instead of “hermits” kinda makes sense during that era if you’re new and know nothing and you’re genuinely only here for the DO competition? Lots of hermits uploaded their runs independent from their episodes so you could watch a bunch of runs and get to know the player without clicking into a single episode.

Because if I randomly caught sight of an impressive, gorgeous, and addicting game that popped up on YouTube and it was the host of a months-long competition between the developer’s friends (and each friend having their unique style / flair) and you get to watch it unfold live pretty much free of charge, watching players collect the items needed to unlock lower levels, counting scores every week, feeling a sense of community with Twitch chat— yeah I would get hooked. Even without any prior knowledge.

Sitting on his knees in an uncomfortable kneeling position, Technoblade felt a trickle of cold sweat work its way down the back of his neck. He could feel the sun beating down from above, its relentless rays doing nothing for his sweaty skin.

Wiping a gloved hand along his forehead line, Techno looked up from his work. The man's fingers and palms were stained with dirt splotches and grass marks. His pink hair had been tied back and tossed in between the back of his shoulder blades with ease, a sturdy hair band keeping it in one bunch.

Technoblade stood up to his full height. He could practically feel his spine elongating already; a few sharp pops even rang out from his tired joints to audibly show how hard he had been working. Although, as he looked out upon the sight in front of him, Techno couldn't help but think that it was all worth it.

Hundreds and hundreds of harvested potato lines laid in front of him with a barren look. Remnants and scraps of the former vegetation littered the scorched ground. Brown spots and dried up greens were what were left of the hybrid's hours of heavy work.

With a haughty grin, Techno walked off his elaborate plot of land. It took a minute too, seeing as he had a ginormous five acres to show for it.

“That’ll put me ahead.” He grinned, taking off the worn leather gloves he had been wearing to garden. In an almost comical manor, he rubbed his hands together like a film villain painted in black and white, smiling.

From the comfort of his secluded property, getting to the hub was easy enough. Just a small stroll on an obscure dirt path and he was in a familiar looking village.

Each time he passed the threshold from lush forest to dusty village, Techno could always feel the strain in his muscles as he tightened them, a feeling of discomfort washing over him in small waves. It wasn't as if he didn't ever like visiting the place. The collection of small wooden houses and abundancy of vendor stands were more than useful in tasks such as expanding his farm and gathering materials. It was the stares he was less than partial to.

Eyes filled with fear and wonder alike followed Techno as he walked stiffly around the place. He should have been used to this by now, more than aware of the titles he had collected over the years. Blood God, the Blade, even the occasional call of potato man was tossed in his direction. The last one made him want to laugh the most, if he was being honest.

The pinkette didn't blame people for staring. He was more or less a myth taken form to them. A pink haired warrior hiding behind a pigs skull, often seen buying the materials needed to reap all kinds of vegetables. In all his years living just a few miles away from the public, the only locals he had ever spoken to were the sellers. Maybe an occasional traveler, interested in what the rest of the world was doing now that he had left it—despite the fact he had vowed he would never return to the life he had been leading before. No. He was much more content growing crops than watering the fields of battle with blood. So yeah, not exactly the type people around here were used to seeing.

"Alright. It was about time I met the asshole that insist on making my life a living hell."

Techno's swift movements stopped in the middle of the sidewalk he had been steadily moving along; an admirable feat from whoever had just caught his attention—something that didn't happen often.

His sharp gaze was hidden behind the bone white skull he insisted on wearing so much, sweeping around until it eventually landed on the source of his brief pause.

It was someone short. Well, at least shorter than him, which was normal for about everyone he had ever met—save for a teenage enderman hybrid he had used to know.

Skimming over the height difference, the second thing that caught his attention were their hands. They were almost as dirty as his, if not dirtier. Even through the grit and grime he could see a few hardened callouses dotting their skin. A detail that almost made Techno tilt his head with mild curiosity. Almost.

Thirdly was their stare. It was scarily memorable of the very same one he saw each time he looked in the mirror. Determined, with layers and layers of vast emotions underneath it.

The stranger approached him, hands in pockets as they bit at the inside of their cheek. Looking far more comfortable than anyone else would have in approaching the infamous piglin hybrid.

"Do I know you." Techno's voice was monotone. Flat. Less than a question, and more of a not so subtle way of getting them to leave him alone. It didn't work.

"Nope! Pretty rude of you, considering we've been neighbors for about half a year now. But I'll let it slide." The carefree tone and amused smile contradicted what should have been the hostility in their words. Their sentences were certainty set up to be directed at him with a different emotion if they so much as pleased. But Techno knew how to read people, be it common folk or kings sitting high above him on a throne as they lied about their sins. And this person before him certainty had no intent to do anything beyond chat.

For some reason that confused him more than anything else.

"I don' have any neighbors." His voice was clear. Slightly raising it for the sake of the people around them doing a poor job of eavesdropping; a silent call to get moving. To which the small crowd immediately did.

"Maybe so you think. But tell that to me and my house I've been living in for six months. If you ever bothered to visit anywhere other than this shithole or your huge ass garden you would know that."

They knew about his garden, along with his traveling habits. If they were telling the truth about being his neighbor, that would be less of a concern to hear. But Techno decided to play it safe, straightening up to his full height and curling his fists as if to insinuate a threat. He didn't feel like scaring off anyone more than he usually did, although this time it would be with intent, but he'd rather continue on his way with a bit of guilt rather than with the possibility that someone from his past had finally caught up with him.

"Oh relax tough guy. I'm just here to talk potatoes."

He stirred at that.

"..what?"

"Potatoes. You know, the thing you spend all your time farming." The person who had still yet to introduce themself carried on with hand motions, blowing out a slight sigh. "I really didn't think the second after I moved some crazy guy would be setting up shop with the same idea as me. I mean come on, how many people in the world have even considered going into potato farming as a hobby. You and your—your incredibly overpowered gardening tools."

It took a second before all of the dots began to connect in Techno's head. The way they had approached him with a competitive tone (albeit it playful), how they only seemed interested in talking about vegetation, the roughness of their hands—

"(Y/n) right?" In spite of himself, Techno found a small quirk in his lips forming. Not quite a smile, but something similar to it all the same. He was rewarded with a joyous nod of confirmation.

"Bingo."

So this was the person who had been after his number one potato these past couple months. Why the hub had such a thing as a leaderboard for who could sow the most vegetables, he had no idea. But it proved a successful way to pass his time. A task that included beating out the only other person on that board who was a threat to his number one title—the very same person who was currently standing across from him.

"Technoblade. Nice to metcha." He held out a hand, surely baffling a few of the people who were still staring at him and (Y/n). It was expected later there would be whispers of the interaction between the infamous man towering over an unassuming civilian, but he didn't mind.

"I know who you are." They took his hand with a snort, laughing. "I've been burning holes through your name on that stupid leaderboard ever since last summer. Your mental, you know, for farming a million potatoes a day."

"So I've been told." A brief memory of an old competitor made its way to the front of his mind, the word squid leaving as soon as it had came.

"I suppose asking you to stop farming would be a waste of time?"

He almost laughed.

"I'll take that as a no." (Y/n) tightened the grip on his hand with a fervent determination before letting go. A silent challenge. The first one that had interested Techno in a long time.

"How about we make a game out of this?" His ears perked up, blood red eyes capturing (Y/n)'s as they proceeded. "If we're to continue in this great potato war, how about we settle around a five hundred million goal. First person to it gets bragging rights. As well as, I dunno, something of the others. We can work that part out later."

"You're going down nerd." He grinned, sharp canines showing excitedly.

"Oh please." You rolled your eyes with the same sort of smile. "his'll be a cake walk for me. Or a potato walk for me, you could say."

"Bruhh."

"Like that one aye? How about, by the time I'm done with you, you'll be mashed potatoes!"

"Anyone else want to be my competitor? Anyone?" Techno pretended to call out to a crowd, scaring the nearby foot traffic as they scurried around the little bubble they had both created in the street.

"Alright fine fine you've made your point. My humors simply too good for the likes of you." (Y/n) returned to stuffing their hands in their pockets now, body weight shifting from foot to foot.

Techno took one more long look at them. Sweeping their figure with a feeling he hadn't encountered in a long time.

He was having fun.

"May th' best farmer win."

"Oh I will."

And with that, he set off in the opposite direction of you, determined to get back to his farm before you did yours.

Be sure to watch the season 2 premiere of Moon girl and Devil Dinosaur because the show is in danger of being cancelled

Yeah, everyone at the Disney Beat server and I saw a couple of nights ago, and we've all been so fucking ANGRY at Disney. 14 episodes getting dropped all at once on Disney+?! What the fuck were they thinking?!

It's bad enough they release batches of episodes at once like what Netflix did with Sonic Prime, but they plan to drop around half a season there to where they're making the main channel do two episodes per week?! You seriously couldn't do weekly premieres on TV and have the new episodes get released the next day on streaming, like what HBO Max did with Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and My Adventures with Superman?! The fact they reveal this on the MGDD Crew TikTok and paint it as a good thing does not help either. "How could you not celebrate" HOW COULD YOU NOT REALIZE YOU'RE BEING SO FUCKING DENSE RIGHT NOW?! LOOK AT THIS SHIT!

You cannot make this up! Streaming as a whole has seriously fucked over entertainment. Netflix made the binge format the new norm, and it's not working anymore. If you thought shows getting shorter-lived hype through binging compared to a weekly release was an issue, the quantity is a-whole-nother problem. If it was 5 or 6 episodes getting added at a time, that would be less infuriating, but this is 14 half-hour episodes we're talking about! That's 308 minutes of straight-up binging Disney expects us to do! No one is gonna binge this many episodes in a timeframe like that! And keep in mind, this isn't an earlier season from a finished or ongoing show; this is a whole new season we're talking about. People who haven't watched MGADD yet or don't have Disney+ and/or cable are gonna get exposed to a fuck ton of spoilers. Not to mention Disney Channel is gonna have to spend 7 weeks catching up to Disney+ with the episodes they air on TV. That will do a serious number on the TV views! And don't get me started on the international releases because I was told MGADD has been delayed so much to where S2 of dubbing is done (hence the promos in Japan), but considering the company's crapass handling of international releases, people won't be able to watch it until a much later date. Oh, and there are also countries that don't have the show despite it being dubbed in their language. Right off the bat, that's international views down the drain and the strong possibility of people in the other countries being exposed to spoilers depending on what they come across and who they're following.

You know what the absolute kicker is? They had the fucking audacity to reveal this shortly after they treated The Ghost and Molly McGee like garbage. No joke! The very minimal reruns they gave it throughout its run, its cancellation as season 3 was being drafted, the shitty promotions, them releasing "Jinx vs. the Human World" on iTunes and "The End" on YouTube ahead of their TV and Disney+ releases. I am not kidding about the last part; because Disney didn't temporarily remove them, SpoilerTV reported both episodes received only 63K and 56K TV views! Now compare that to the 375K views "Watching and Dreaming" got; all three TOH specials weren't released on YouTube or Disney+ until after the DC/XD simulcast premiere! And this is the same show that got shortened by the now retired Gary Marsh! The upsetting part is Bill Motz is blaming himself for putting too much pressure on the fans for watching TGAMM and appointing ambassadors to help promote it. No, it's not your fault, Bill. It's the Disney executives and their shitty marketing strategy's fault your show got cancelled. You care about the show you and Bob Roth created, and you wanted it to do well. The higher ups didn't bother to continue promoting the show after it premiered, and that alone just forced you, the ambassadors, and the audience to do their job for them. They're the reason why it underperformed on D+ and DC. Now, it may potentially happen again with MGADD thanks to them!

Why did they pulling any of this shit was a good idea?! The show got ample marketing, from an advertisement outside the Days of Christmas store in Disney Springs and Moon Girl herself appearing in Disney California Adventure to merchandise such as a Moon Girl Funko, a couple of books, and even a graphic novel! It has received nominations and won awards, and the current lead executive Ayo Davis said season 1 performed well in ratings! Yet they turn around and pull all of this bullshit as season 2 approaches! Seriously, what is preventing you from doing next-day weekly releases and continuing your marketing, Disney?! All your other Marvel shows have gotten weekly releases and so much promoting, and regardless of the reception of each show, they all get high ratings! That even includes What If…?, the MCU's first animated show! Just because MGADD is adjacent/not entirely connected to the MCU and is a Disney TVA show doesn't give you the excuse to treat it like crap post-season 1!

I'm sorry for the ranting, but this multi-whammy has been so fucking frustrating. I have been a big fan of MGADD since the beginning, and like I previously said, it helped fill the DuckTales-shaped hole in my heart. I'm glad that it has such a strong start, and I want it to continue doing well, but the upcoming 14-episode release was such a fucking gut punch. The more the active Disney Beat server memebrs and I ranted and vented about it, the more furious we grew to where a few of us—myself included—were in tears; it is such a horrendous decision the Disney executives made! I'm at least glad the past week has gotten people to talk about how shows are getting treated nowadays thanks to streaming, and Disney Beat tweeting about the 14-episode bomb release announcement got deleted. Unfortunately, the higher ups most likely deleted it just to save face and won't reverse the decision in the end. Regardless, more people are catching onto the pitfalls with streaming and are noticing how shows no longer have the opportunities to build audiences over time. They are treated as nothing more as a means of gaining views and instant gratification rather than a medium made for one's enjoyment. With the Animation Guild's contract having been expired for around a few months, I hope one of their demands is to stop the shows' mistreatments and lack of sufficient marketing because streaming left a devastating and worsening impact on the entertainment and animation industries.

Ever since I got this job, 5 years ago, it has been a constant struggle to find free time. It got worse last year, when I started working 6 days a week, but now that my mom is not doing well and needs my help, it's impossible. I have almost no free time, and the time I have I use it to catch up on my sleep. I don't have a life anymore.

And it sucks, cause I really enjoyed recording videos, editing, making thumbnails,... but it takes up too much time, and as long as I'm stuck in this infernal schedule, I can't be consistent with my content, and my channel will never grow. I can't bear to let people down anymore ☹️

Wanda’s Lazy Day

Summary- After weeks of non stop orders at the bakery, dealing with kids at home and trying to help her friends out with problem they had, Wanda finally has one day to herself where she can be lazy and watch countless baking shows in the comfort of her home

After a couple of weeks of dealing with countless orders that were placed in the bakery, both of her kids needing help with some projects at school and whatnot, Wanda finally had some free time to enjoy one of her favorite pastimes, spending a majority of the morning in her comfy PJs, eating some Chinese food and binging seasons of some baking shows on Netflix. 

When she had first started the bakery and it was only her who was running it ( before she had hired people) she loved to spend countless hours binging shows like the great British baking off or whatever baking show that the cooking channel would seem to be airing when she was working. Getting inspiration for any new flavors or just for a way to make the time pass in the shop. 

So when the redhead had seen that she had 2 days that she didn’t have to be at the bakery or that nobody had placed any orders it meant that she could finally have a lazy day at home. It wouldn’t be a fully lazy day since she’d have to take the boys to school and pick them up but she’ll take what she can get at this point. 

All she was waiting to complete her lazy day was her regular Chinese order from her favorite restaurant in town, Wok this way. One of the only restaurants in this area that sells anything other than burgers which she has to thank Rose for her whole life recommending. 

 “ Where did you even find this place rose? “ Wanda asks her friend as they make their way to a small restaurant. It had only been a couple of months since she and the twins had moved to Westview but with her duties as a single mother, she never really got the time to herself and this is where her dear friends and neighbors step up to give her a day to relax. 

Even though you didn’t know Wanda much, you and Agatha had volunteered to babysit the kids for the evening while Rose was in charge of taking the young mom out for an evening to shop, eat and just have time to relax from her busy life. It took a while for her to leave the young babies with her friends but she was proud of herself that she did it. 

“ Aggie did when she was walking home one day, trust me honey when I say that their honey walnut shrimp is so fucking die for,” rose says to her, making it a point to emphasize the shrimp menu they have as they walk there. Before Wanda even chose to come here she didn’t have many options when it came to food because stark always chose the best because “ we have to be at our best and we can’t do that 

It was one of her favorite comfort foods when she was feeling sad along with all the recipes from her childhood in Sokovia. It never fails to bring her back from a bad mood or relax her on a day like today. 

The food came in 30 minutes as per usual by the son of the owners, always amazing the redhead at how quickly he can even deliver it to her house on a bike but she won’t question it.

Wanda checks her list to see everything and is ready to have a great British bake-off marathon when she gets a text from none other than Agatha. 

Agatha: help pls help 

Wanda: hi hello! How are you? what do you need help with? 

Agatha: Me and the little lady are going out of town to a concert and I want to surprise her with an outfit 

Wanda: And you need me to help with fashion choice? 

Agatha: See she doesn’t know about the concert 

Wanda: Oh you dummy 😂

After an hour of talking to Agatha between different outfits, Wanda finally can start to catch up on 2 episodes from 3 seasons when she hears her phone ringing. It couldn’t be you because Wanda had remembered you were gonna be out of town for some important work meeting, Agatha just text her about her problem so it was just about rules for everyone who would call her. 

Until she saw the caller ID and had to fight the urge not to throw her phone into the wall.

“ HI Jake this is Miss Maximoff, what did you need ?” she answers in the sweetest tone even tho all she wants to do right now is not have to deal with stuff from the bakery. It’s not like the dude could read her energy through the phone if he can���t do basic shit. 

“ So there’s a problem with the electricity, I was helping out a customer with the cake order you did when all of a sudden it just went out, was off for 5 minutes, and then came back on” He explains and she runs to her little home office to check something on her calendar. 

Seems to be paid so why would it do that? 

“ She was talking about how this was important and might have yelled at me a bit which made me cry but I don’t want to embarrass myself so i-” 

“ Jake sweetheart, i’m gonna call you back and see what’s the problem,” Wanda tells the poor boy and proceeds to do some investigating, deciding to move her laptop to the living room to try to catch up on at least another episode of the great British bake-off. 

It took the redhead 2 episodes of bake-off later to get ahold of the electric company in town and she was able to help a very tired-of-the-day Jake with his problem. He had apologized many times over the phone to his boss and made sure to thank her before hanging up the call and giving Wanda some well-needed self-care time. 

For the next two hours, Wanda is in bliss, in the comfiest of sweatpants, a cozy blanket, and a good-sized bowl of popcorn, not to forget the Chinese food too. 

Just as she was about to get into her third season of bake in the day, the door bursts open, Billy and Tommy running into the house at full speed excited to finally be home for the day to relax and be with their mom. 

“ Hi mom,” both of them say in unison as they make their way to the couch, carefully hugging Wanda to not spill the popcorn all over the place.

“ How are both my favorite boys ever? Did you both get along in school ?” she asks, paying very close attention to how their days went.

Anyways here's an overly elaborate history of my time here cause I also feel like a fraud cause I was more SBI than dteam until 2022 but I still knew what was going on with them and quietly kept up with this side while maining Tommy

My full story is I joined the overall fandom in October ended up down a rabbit hole of animatics and also desperately trying to catch up to the lore via wilbur and Tommy's videos. Dteam was in my periphery and then I was sick one day and ended up binging his manhunts (at some point earlier in the timeline I binged George's entire channel but I forget when, loved his videos but there weren't many to watch at the time sadge)

Then the speedrunning drama hit and personally I was pretty convinced he cheated (I didn't have twitter at the time, actual I wasn't even properly in the fandom yet I was chilling with my irls on discord also I'm the last one here out of them) and then started writing tommyinnit fic in January 2021, joined a writing server. I watched the dteam very casually but always kept up with what they were doing, still no twitter and somehow ended up not hating dream despite being surrounded by people who thought he was the scum of the earth (being a dream stan in hiding is always the safer option I've found)

And then the drituation hit and that made me switch over here fully ironically (i knew sbi was no lonegr safe), posted my first dnf fic in January of 2023 and then I officially stopped watching anyone from thr other side after Tommy's video in August

DAY 14: DANGANTOBER

Day 14: Favorite Ultimate Talent

I don't know what I'm supposed to do about this one. Do I pick a favorite out of the ones that currently exist, nerd out and pick an obscure one from a light novel that 90% of the fanbase hasn't read, or do I come up with one for myself?

If I was an Ultimate, I'd be the Ultimate Yapper/j. For real though, I'd be one of two things, the Ultimate Filmmaker or the Ultimate Theorist. My career goal is to become a filmmaker, running my own movie studio and creating amazing movies for everyone of all ages. Bring back well-thought out movies that are so rare to come by nowadays. If I was a filmmaker however, I'd be a bit of a fraudulent one, since I haven't made any movies. I've written them, storyboarded them, etc. but they are not yet filmed.

Kaito hasn't gone to space yet, and I have yet to make a movie.

On the other hand, I've been told that I'd be the Ultimate Theorist. This is because in my off-time, I'm one of those kinds of people who make fan theories about certain shows and movies I like. I'd talk about one of them, but I fear it'd link back to me pretty quickly lmao. With that theory, I had a lot of people in that fanbase believing it, and it really took off. I actually gave this ultimate to my Danganronpa OC, he's the Ultimate Theorist, though his theories are largely more academic than mine.

This is probably also how I look to my friends and you lovely folks whenever I post long character analyses.

In terms of Ultimate that I'd want, I pick the unnamed Ultimate Make-Up Artist from Danganronpa: Gaiden! According to the wiki, the Ultimate Make-Up Artist is someone whose medium is the human body, applying makeup and prosthetics for theatrical, television, filmmaking, fashion, magazines, and other similar productions. That'd be so cool, and based on the description, I assume they're lumping in SFX makeup into this ultimate.

If you can do SFX makeup, you are one of the coolest people ever imo.

I also think Yasuke Matsuda's ultimate, Ultimate Neurologist, is pretty cool. The field of neuroscience is such a difficult one, you have to understand the human brain, and our brains are already very iffy and strange. Then you have to know how to apply that in a scientific and usually medical sense. Anyone with this ultimate is incredibly smart, and likely dedicated to their work to achieve that while still in high school.

Finally, an Ultimate that appears in-game that I'd want, is the Ultimate Cook. Yes, Teruteru is Teruteru, and I've already mentioned in a previous post that a lot of the food-related ultimates use underhanded means to make their food so beloved. But I've always wanted to learn how to cook.

You see, I'm one of those people who grew up as a "gifted kid". As such, I have been conditioned to believe that everything should come easy to me, and if it doesn't, then I suck and shall never try again. It's a bad mindset, but if you have it, you know its one that's hard to break out of because its so engrained within you. I work on it everyday, but I still catch myself feeling dejected when I'm not immediately amazing at everything I try.

I want to learn how to cook, I'm just scared that I'll try and not be good at it, and then I'll want to give up. It's something I'm trying to work through, picking new recipes to try every week, watching tutorials, Gordon Ramsey clips, Binging with Babish, and all the other cooking YouTube channels. I have like, forty cookbooks being delivered to me soon. I'm an adult, I need to have this skill.

I took a Culinary class a few months ago, and it was actually very nice and therapeutic for me. Despite the constant noise of the kitchen, everything was so soothing to me. Measuring, mixing, mincing, frying, frosting, it was heavenly. I'd only messed up my food three time, and two of those weren't my fault, but my teammate's. I'm still salty about the chocolate chip cookie incidents.

We had made chocolate chip cookies twice. Both times, my group was the only one to mess up. Both times, it wasn't my fault. The first time, the girl who was leading everyone didn't measure enough flour because she was too busy talking to her boyfriend, and the cookies were inedible. I had to scrape them off the baking sheet while her friends gave the rest of my group cookies. The second time, the other girl leading my group didn't put in enough of one ingredient, I think it was butter or sugar, and they came out rock hard and more akin to protein bars. Third time was my fault, I didn't know when to take the food off the stove and it burned.

But since then, I've successfully made beignets, spaghetti and meatballs, hamburgers, chicken mole, and so many more dishes. If I was the Ultimate Chef, you could bet good money on me making three course meals, I'd be so dramatic with it too. Adding garnishes and those pretentious dots on the plate like in The Menu. Ugh, it'd be so fun.

College Update🏫🎓:

I normally don't like sharing how I am busy with other things than art, but now I am at the point where I have a voice and I need to use it for once. Yes, I go to College for a degree in Animation. So most of the time my hiatus is because of College, especially Finals. Yeaaaaaaaah! Overall I have been busy with work. I would love to post my progress but I feel as if it is not my best. Oh well.🫤 After, I will be able to have a break in the middle of May so their some good news there.

Social Media Art Update📲📳:

I will be posting art again BUT I will stop posting in some social media accounts. For those who want to be an artist, I definitely recommend doing 1 website and then expanding if you can. But not just that, if you are a beginner/new artist and you want to know what place to post your art, Firstly I recommend posting on sites where your favorite artists post. Most of the time They have some good pointers on where to go about posting art. Secondly and MOST IMPORTANT, post art in places where you can look it up AND it will show up on Google or Bing. For instance, If you look up Mario fanart on Google and click on images, (I know it's fanart but hear me out), The sites you will see are mostly Twitter, DeviantArt, Pinterest, Reddit and sometimes Tumblr will show up. Others like Artstation too. But not much of Instagram or Facebook. That's odd? The number 1 website for artists, from what people have recommended me, is NOT showing up on Google. Well, not a lot. Why is that? IDK. All I know is that should have been a warning sign that my art wouldn't be shown to the masses in the degree I was looking for. So when I post on Instagram, It does feel like I am posting to an endless void of nothingness. Your Artwork is valuable and should be treated as such so everyone can see it (unless you don't want to).

Here is my tier list of the Social Media I use daily for entertainment and posting as a creator on these platforms.

Update:: okie….. sooooo….. about the Mario fanart thingy. Apparently, Google has been overhearing me rant (literally) and rolling in Instagram and Facebook art on Google images which wasn’t the case before. But at least they are taking measures. But even though Google is allowing Instagram to be more recognized, I'm sorry but THE APP itself still has problems that Google can't fix. (Unless they bought it of course)

Besides YouTube, I can recommend Twitter, DeviantArt, Pinterest, Reddit, and Tumblr, just because you can post without feeling like you have to be a pro artist to be considered good, and you can grow and share with a community. And the best part is if you're an introvert (like me) You can post and worry less. I like to comment when someone comments back to help build confidence for myself but you don't have to if you feel shy. It takes small steps so don't rush yourself or your art. Another thing I would like to add is that if you love making GIF Art, you can do it on all the other platforms except…

Instagram. 😒😠😤

A literal sweat job with an inconsistent indiscriminate rate of changes left and right. Make reels, Make stories, Make post, all at once, every day, AND BOTS. Even watching reels about artists struggle just seems unhealthy to me, but Instagram loves this apparently. I mean, yes, we are struggling and there are plenty of underrated artists out there, I know it. But how are we helping them by promoting reels about art struggles and ways to get big on Instagram, instead of exploring new art techniques and trying new things when creating art. It also doesn't help that it is hard for me to refresh my feed from scratch. My bad Instagram for liking 1 Sonic fanart post, I just like 1 okay. I don't mean for you to give me all of them. Sheesh 😤There are just too many negatives of this platform I can't even begin with. Kinda like Twitter but at least Twitter hashtags work "sometimes". It is hard to trust a platform when you have bots swarming to your page and when you think that a live PERSON responded to your post BUT it is a bot recommending you to give them your art for the bot to share it. What kind of place is this? At the time I was trying to figure out where to post my art, I searched on Google, Reddit, and even YouTube, and most of the art videos I saw at that time all recommended Instagram. Well, I am here to say DON'T USE INSTAGRAM! This is a warning for someone who first uses this as their first art account. DO NOT USE IT PLEASE!

Man, this is the most negative thing I said but I'm just tired of thinking that this is okay and I need to put up with this and I don't.

In short, I will not post any future art I make on Instagram but the page will be open for those who want to see it. I may even come back to Instagram, but changes must be made for to make that move again. For now, I am happily posting on all the other platforms for now.

I am a Christian. I have been a Christian But I am a Sinner. I know I have done things wrong and I know I deserve hell, but I repent, repenting constantly for God to forgive me of my sins.🙏 I know I am sounding a bit Biblical but I am being serious. Heaven is real. Hell is real. And if both of those are really real then that must be God is real and the Bible is a history recorded for use to read and learn and hear from Him. No, I am not trying to convert you to Christianity, this is more for me than anyone I suppose. I have been dealing with doubts in my life and some things I just can't explain. But I know there has to be something beyond this life. There are just too many signs pointing in that direction and it is hard to keep quiet about. I know God saved my parents. I have seen it multiple times. But at the same time, I tend to forget and lose faith in Jesus at times which is sad. Is Jesus coming back again? If so then sign me up I will do my best to be closer to Him. It's just that I don't want to go to hell for all of eternity, so if I don't want to go there I need to believe in Jesus Christ. It is a lot easier said than done but I also want to share the good news with others that Jesus loves them but I don't want to offend anyone if that makes. But I guess I can tell you if you don't mind.

so, my first dnp video was the funeral one, which somehow intrigued me enough to watch the new heartthrob video (i never realised how horrible this word truly is until i typed it out) two days later.

the thing i remember most vividly about watching it is pure and utter confusion.

like, please just watch the first three minutes of that video through the eyes of someone who has never seen these two people interact in their whole life. looking back, it honestly depicts the whole range of their chaos so nicely. being all happy and domestic but immediately venturing into innuendos, the classic "phil says something weird, dan points it out, phil tries to make it better but just makes it much worse", it has dan being sarcastic and badly trying to act as if he's irritated, phil casually doing the most insane shit, the bantering and teasing, all the references to things i had no clue about.

and i was just sitting there like. i don't know what the fuck is wrong with them but they're amazing. i need to undestand them. so i loosely kept an eye on them but at that point i wasn't really interested in watching the halloween gaming or their old videos. about two weeks went by until...

this is what really made it click. i was about halfway through the video when i just knew i need them in my life, actually. i don't think i need to explain because how could one even attempt to put the gloriousness of that video into words? and what can i say, after that it's just a descend into the madness of years of content and fandom lore...

the funeral one being the very first is so funny to me, like that has to be deeply confusing with zero context. i'm impressed that it intrigued you enough to watch more, it's quite a strange video lol.

i did go and watch the heartthrob video and yeah the first 3 minutes are just so weird and unhinged. that whole sequence is just so them. i do think it's a perfect representation of who they are in this current era. like it's reminiscent of the stereo days except now it's on youtube. i remember being in awe myself of how chaotic and unhinged those first few minutes were, but it was also so comforting because they were clearly having a lot of fun being back on the channel.

it's honestly fair that you didn't watch spooky week. i think a fair share of even the biggest phannies will skip spooky week cause they really don't care for the horror games. personally, i love watching spooky week cause their silliness really takes away from the horror aspect for me, and it just makes it more fun and entertaining rather than scary. but i think that's more about personal preference.

the baking video is honestly a cultural reset. their baking videos have always been excellent, and now with sister daniel and them being out it just makes it 10x better. if anything is gonna make you a phannie it's that video.

missing the simpler times of opening youtube and seeing a minecraft video by someone i’ve never seen before on my homepage, despite having not watched or played the game in years. missing the simpler times of watching one video, getting hooked and clicking on his channel to binge the rest, and then learning that he has two other online friends who also make content. and you could just tell they’ve been friends for years because of how natural their dynamic is, and how much fun they genuinely seem to have together.

missing the simpler times of finding out they stream on twitch, and would play on this survival server where they built a house and farm in the middle of a lake. missing catching up with their vods on youtube before staying up late yourself to catch every single bit of content no matter how late it was. missing the mining streams, building streams, parkour streams, fishing streams, and random aimless streams; because they all brought so much comfort and laughter during a time when days just seemed to all meld together. missing more and more as they started to add more and more of their friends to the server.

missing the simpler times of not realizing how big they’d gotten until their streams had record breaking viewers, you would see references related to them everywhere, and people kept talking about the lore (which you still don’t understand to this day but just went along with it). the only thing that was missing was waiting for the guy who started it all to finally meet up with those two friends that have been there the entire time, so that they could experience their impact together. wishing, during this time, that even if they can’t be together in person to experience it, they truly know how many people’s days they made better with something that started off as a silly little survival server.

And it was actually two, Knives Out and Glass Onion. Loved the hell out of both (but Glass Onion a bit more), absolutely love Benoit Blanc and his baker hubby and I want 4070370 other movies with them.

Craving: Gyoza. And I made them for dinner since I was alone, lol. Picked it up when I had some hours to kill in the city and it's a theme I'd like to know more about, have been really enjoying it, very informative.
