Listen I am really happy that the United Healthcare CEO got shot, but yall are saying some CONCERNING shit about his suspected killer. First of all, you are innocent until proven guilty, so stop calling Luigi Mangione the assassin when he literally hasnt even had his trial yet. Secondly, yall treating him like a saint, a martyr, and the Second Coming of Christ (literally wtf, I've seen the art yall make) is fucking creepy. Seeing people compare him to art of the arrest of Jesus and making votive candles of him dressed as a saint? Fucking weird. That is not a normal thing to do no matter how much I hate UHC (I'm a disabled American who has had them deny my treatments repeatedly). Yall need to put some ice on your murder boners. I was pretty excited about this at first too, but yall have taken this to a crazy extreme. You've made a fandom. You've made a fandom that is bordering uncomfortably close to a cult. I think yall need a few deep breaths, a glass of water, and a fuckin wake up call. This did not hurt UHC in any measurable way. They replaced the CEO immediately as if they were cycling the laundry and the money machine kept churning. Hell, their stock actually increased in value immediately following the assassination.
My treatments still arent fully covered and my insurance keeps shifting me onto less effective medication because they dont want to pay for me to actually get well. Nothing has changed. This was a deeply satisfying moment of national catharsis, but the moment has passed and yall are making it weird.

[BEGIN TRANSCRIPT]
stitched creator: keep Palestinians' names out of your mouth when you're trying to defend your decision for voting for Kamala--
bigzaiire: I'm starting to see a lot of these videos coming out and I feel like someone really really has to speak on it, so I'm going to. And I'm gonna tell this with all my due respect -- Palestine is not the only country that's dealing with genocide right now.
I am from Congo in case you cannot tell, I'm from Congo, okay? We are also dealing with genocide in Congo. In fact, the genocide in Congo has been going for way longer than the genocide in Palestine. The genocide in Congo has made 8 millions of victims. 8 millions.
And you might wonder, why am I making this video? Well, I am making this video because I'm going to support Vice President Kamala. 100% I'm going to. And I'm going to tell you why I'm going to support Vice President Kamala.
Listen to me. This is one of the Congolese genocide enabler. His name is Dan Getler. This guy is an Israeli billionaire who owns mines in Congo. This guy was sanctioned in 2017 by President Barack Obama for corrupt and illegal mining.
Listen very carefully. He was sanctioned by Obama. Obama is a Democrat. Okay?
This dude got reinstated. Someone gave him his money back. Someone gave him his money back. Do you know who did that?
Donald Trump.
Donald Trump gave him [Israeli billionaire Dan Getler] his money back. It was one of the very last thing he did as a president was to give this guy his money back.
And do you know who sanctioned this guy again?
President Biden.
President Biden sanctioned him again. So currently, this person [Israeli billionaire Dan Getler] does not have his money. All the money, all the illegal money he made in Congo -- he does not have it right now. Because of President Biden.
So one thing I know for sure, one thing I know for sure: Vice President Kamala, she's not going to let this guy get his money back. And another thing that I know for sure is that if Trump gets back in office, Trump is going to reinstate this guy. Trump is going to give him his money back.
How do you think Israel is getting all the money? Because of this guy. He's one of the people who are giving money is Israel. So if you want to stop this guy -- hmm? -- from getting his money back and potentially giving that money to Israel, make sure that Trump does not make it.
Now let's be real for a second. Because I feel like a lot of people don't take this part in consideration. Listen.
A lot of people have lost their jobs for supporting Palestine.
A lot of content creators got their account banned for supporting Palestine.
A lot of people got hurt physically for protesting for Palestine.
A lot of people have ruined their relations with their families and friends simply because they were on the side of Palestine.
So if you're going to tell all these people who have sacrificed so much for your cause that they are wrong for choosing a candidate who's going to preserve their rights in their own country, then I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are being both ungrateful and disingenuous.

I'll never understand how so many of the people I know who call for revolution also breakdown when someone raises their voice in the same room or closes a door too loud. Like...do you think revolution would happen with nerf darts and super soakers?
Also like, who do you think the first casualties of the revolution will be? Because it would be a war and we all know who suffers the most in war. The sick, the disabled, the elderly, and children. They will be caught in the middle and die in fucking droves. But hey gotta have that glorious revolution right?

For a certain type of online leftist, "the Revolution" is essentially a secular rapture: the Revolution is going to happen, we know not the day or date, and we don't need to do anything to make the Revolution happen, certainly not real-life activism, just believe the right things before it happens and fixes everything.
Just like how evangelicals oppose doing anything to improve the Earth before the rapture comes, these types believe half-measures are pointless. "We DON'T need [change that would benefit many people right now], we NEED a REVOLUTION!" We don't need gradual change; all at once or not at all, and in fact, it's suspect if you are working on those smaller-scale changes. But since all these people do is tweet and do podcasts they're uh, not exactly forcing the end anytime soon

Here's the thing y'all, I so significantly regret what happened in 2016. So much so that I'm never letting that shit happen again. Period.
I'm pretty disillusioned with the left overall, because so many of y'all are more open to grifters and, frankly, looking smug on the internet than you are actually doing anything to materially benefit anyone. I'm very much a leftist, but I don't have much trust in The Left.
Too many of y'all are relying on a mysticized Revolution that is just a rebranded Rapture straight out of your evangelic upbringing.
We can community organize and do mutual aid and protest and disrupt and vote.
This isn't an either/or scenario. This is a both/and.
I'm so tired of this shit. No third parties. No encouraging others to stay home. No spreading misinfo just because it's convenient.
I don't like Harris's stance on Gaza. I don't like most of her foreign policy. I don't like everything she did when she was a prosecutor, even though she was a relatively progressive one (which is a thing the left had been pushing for for a long time and then dumped them as soon as they win). There's half a dozen ways to Sunday where Harris doesn't match my ideals and beliefs, but she's a hell of a lot closer than Trump and a hell of a lot better than him on every single damn issue.
If the French left can do it, and the UK left can do it, then so can we, damn it.

You know what after this election and everything that has happen I as a Jewish person no longer want to entertain being lumped in with white people and white women. Leave me out of that narrative, Jewish people aren't even European, we are middle eastern. We do not want to be lumped in with you.
Most of you put in place a fascist bigoted rapist who shared legally documents with our enemies intend of the most person to ever run for president just because you hate women and women of color and/or because you have white christian superiority, morality and guilt complexes.
Nearly 60% of white people voted for Donald Trump, 60% of white men for Donald and 53% of white women vote for Donald.
Meanwhile 80% of Jewish people voted for Kamala Harris, 71% of Jewish men voted for Kamala and 88% of Jewish women vote Kamala. (Calling Kamala by her first name because she seems to perfer to be called by instead of her last name.)
Honestly I am starting to think the white radical leftists raised Christian call democrats evil because they hate Zionists and majority of the Jewish American population always votes democrat and are Zionists.
A thought if Black people and Jewish people tell you not say both sides are just as bad and evil, listen to them. They know what they are talking about. They know what happens when a violent revolution happens. The white radical leftists raised Christian romanticize violent revolution the same why conservative Christians romanticize the rapture.
The fact that Black Americans and Jewish Americans have always been to be the backbone of American Democracy and progress despite the clear anti-blackness and antisemitism on left is ridiculous. Then when we either of us need you, you abandon us. Then when bad happens you go blame the Jewish people and want Black people fix it. We told what would happen, you fix it and leave us alone in peace.
Why do so many other groups of people seem not have the same level of self perversion and strength and care for people who are different than them. I do not understand this.

something something all these American Christian and ex-Christian leftists who say they hate Trump but they can't vote for Biden because he's old/can't vote for Harris because she was an attorney general which is basically a cop (it isn't)/can't vote for this candidate/can't vote for that candidate/etc are in spite of themselves still subconsciously expecting Jesus to show up and make everything better.
That's who they want, at the end of the day.
Candidate Jesus.
Who will of course, be inhumanly pure and perfect and unchangeable, unsullied by the messy complexity of humanity.
But Candidate Jesus is not coming to save america. They have just slapped a new coat of paint on The Rapture and called it The Revolution.
There is no third choice. The choices are Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. And come november, one of them is going to be elected whether you like it or not.
So for the good of the planet could you all please take one goddamned day to go and vote.

Always remember that a lot of the leftist acceleration blogs might well turn out to be Russian psyops. Like, legitimately, it's a tactic that has been used on this very site before.
If you don't believe any solution but the Leftist Rapture (i.e. the Glorious Revolution) will work to solve your problems, then just stand aside and shut up. The system is already on fire, if it's meant to burn it will burn.
Actively pouring gasoline on the fire because you're so excited about what MIGHT get built in the ruins of the current system of government is just showing everyone else that you're an asshole who doesn't actually care about democracy. You just want things your way or not at all.
Which, you know. That makes you an authoritarian.
If you have any respect for democracy, you should recognize that the democratic process requires us to exhaust all possibility of changing the system the democratic way. You should have respect for the people who are willing to haul endless bucket after bucket of water in an endless chain because they can't stand the thought of not TRYING.
Anyone on this post who tries to argue for leftist accelerationism, Trumpism, authoritarianism ("it's alright as long as the RIGHT people are in charge!") or who does not understand the harm reduction and long-term engagement part of democratic politics (small-d, not talking about the Democrats in particular, though this post is obviously in large part about the upcoming USA election) will be blocked.

"The Jewish state has become the Jew of states."
–Jacob Talmon
Another observation I've seen several jumblr blogs make: What's at the center of Western culture? Christianity. And what's at the center of that? A Jew, dying for everyone else's sins. Leftism really is way more of a religion than they want to admit.
Yeah sure you're talking leftist political theory but do you think Israelis are people

Hi, sorry, I'm politics venting again, but the whole idea of letting things get worse because then people will finally wake up and rise up is so patently inhumane that I don't know how anyone can claim it's a legitimate leftist take, yet I keep seeing talk like that.
"I'm willing to stand aside and let Republicans kill food assistance programs because once you've lost your kids to the foster system for being unable to feed them you'll finally learn your lesson that leftism was right all along and be radicalized enough to do a revolution against the biggest military power in the world" is not only an ineffective strategy but also inexcusably cruel. I am baffled that anyone entertains people who think like this as if it's just a different opinion and not full-on evangelical rapture level bullshit dressed up as leftism. Those people are not allies. They are zealots. Our lord and savior Guillotine is going to punish all the non-believers and heretics.

One of my big issues with like, young 20s left leaning white queer ppl who use this site, is that so many of them grew up in these upper middle class American Protestant homes and just switched their Christian beliefs with leftist ones with absolutely no change in their morality or mentality. And they’re completely oblivious to this. So you’ll have people claiming to anarchists while actively advocating for the prison industrial system to torture somebody they think is a bad person.
Is the revolution your rapture ? Do you believe that being proship or anti or whatever internet tag you disagree with is a sin ? Do you think people who you don’t like deserve to be punished ? To burn in hell ? Do you earnestly believe that you’re being victimized while you go to bed in your suburban house every night ?

It’s kind of insane how white gentile so-called leftists will literally get Jewish poc telling them they’re being actually literally racist and they will respond with “NUH UHHHHH YOURE JUST SENSITIVE” in what world is that progressive and not exactly the response a 2015 Edgelord would make
it’s bc jews and poc who disagree with them don’t count. we exist only as a bolster for their own arguments or a scapegoat for their violent rapture revolution fantasy. we’ve always been pawns to them.
