Pretty Cure and Crossover Quest: Musical Hero Taisen: Chai and 808’s Bio
Chai
Gender: Male
Affiliation: Heroic individuals
Age: 25
Species: Human
Favored Genre: Rock in general
General appearance: Chai is person of average height with brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a red scarf (originally a sling before getting his new arm) with a blue button and a smiling face button centered near his neck. Chai's robotic implant is primarily a mechanical arm from Project Armstrong, possessing grey-and-red highlights with four fingers. Within his heart is a MP3 Player that makes everything synced to the beat for him.
In the Musical Hero Taisen storyline, Chai favors his default outfit, which consists of a yellow-and-orange jacket, with a t-shirt donning a white lightning bolt. He also wears blue jeans with grey stripes and grey-and-white sneakers with red soles.
808
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Heroic individuals, Chai
Species: Robotic Black Cat
Favored Genre: Inapplicable; she doesn’t have any known tastes in music
General appearance: 808 appears as a black mechanical cat. Alongside wearing a red collar containing a Metallica-styled “響” kanji, she has blue markings at the end of her whiskers and tails. Segments of 808's colors can also change depending on who is speaking over her. Examples of this are blue for Hime, green for Zuke and later Mike, and a rainbow pattern for Cure Earl.
808 can also turn into a hovering spherical ball, changing her appearance to just her face, ears and a red line signifying her collar. In this form, a speaker appears on the back of her head that sends out visible pulses which acts a a metronome.
Bunk Bed Junction walked so Chai could run; the former’s abandoned revolt brought about an international renaissance in Rock music. Chai intended to go to Vinyl City and get music lessons from Bunk Bed Junction, but his plans got derailed when the Noh Choiarks and the Noh Saiarks attacked the province. A friendship with Hime, the Bomber Girls Cures, Cure Earl, and Mike ensued when they teamed up to put down the invasion.
Ever since synchronizing with Chai, 808 has taken a great liking towards him and his social circles, often posing with them, emoting and sharing reactions to the events in front of them. Besides this, she normally acts as a regular cat. Although on some occasions, 808 performs gestures such as mimicking karate poses or, in very specific instances, Mike’s poses. 808 only has a basic idea of what Tokusatsu is.

Israeli bombers have attacked mosques, churches, schools, and universities (279 educational facilities have been damaged or destroyed); they have struck ambulances even at the very doors of hospitals, as well as hospitals themselves. On November 9 and 10, five major hospitals came under direct Israeli fire: al-Rantissi children’s hospital, the Turkish hospital, the Indonesian hospital, al-Quds, and al-Shifa Medical Center. On November 10, an Israeli drone operator fired a Hellfire RX9 missile at the courtyard of al-Shifa Hospital, a variant of the missile that instead of carrying an explosive warhead unfolds into an array of massive blades like those of a samurai sword, killing by dismembering anyone in its path, leaving bloody limbs and torsos scattered in the hospital forecourt. By nightfall, all the hospitals in the north of Gaza reported being under Israeli artillery and missile fire: showers of incendiary phosphorus just outside, buildings heaving with successive explosions, showering all within with dust and debris and in some cases shrapnel and shell casings. Medecins sans Frontieres reported Israeli snipers were firing into the hospitals themselves. Tens of thousands of terrified refugees have been sheltering in the hospitals, and those who tried leaving both the Rantissi Hospital and al-Shifa on November 10 were fired at by Israeli troops and had to return under fire. Both hospitals were reporting bodies scattered in the streets outside, beyond the reach of medics, who also came under fire when attempting rescue.

Is just me or do you think that Stan, Kyle and the other guys play fornite? (My lil brother is 10 and foul mouthed like them, so basically he's a big fornite kid, it's so cringey tbh) , I mean Stan and the others do canonly play World of Warcraft, so I'd think they would play fornite bc their cringe
they dressed up as fortnite characters for halloween in "the scoots" (s22 ep5) so i think its safe to say they absolutely do
for anyone curious:
stan is dressed as the leviathan, kyle is sledgehammer, kenny is wearing the samurai fortnite costume, cartman is battlehawk, wendy is brite bomber, clyde is ragnarok, jimmy is rabbit raider, tolkien is venturion, and craig is merry marauder (i think thats all of them)

Luv's Monthly Makeover 2022
I wanted to show all 12 pieces of this project, and add a little paragraph about each of them, their themes (if applicable), and their inspirations.
The point of this project was to redesign my mascot Luv every month, trying out new art styles and techniques in the process. Luv changed every month, but still remained the same recognizable character throughout. The idea was to embrace the beauty and challenge of change, and grow with it.
Tumblr media
💕January Luv is generally a very androgynous-looking character largely due to cuteness and fashion, but for this piece I wanted to give him a somewhat more masculine look, which created the little fire goatee. Technically this piece was drawn in December 2021 before I thought of this project (in February), but it hasn't been posted until January and it fit the bill so I counted it as the January piece.
I wanted this to be a more ‘serious’ piece, so there’s no exaggerated fashion or detail to it, aside from the realistic heart in place of the usual love heart on his chest. This is the oldest of the pieces, but I’m still very happy with how it looks!
The Japanese text is from the song Hello by Fire Bomber, saying; "We fear nothing, We go on along this path”. The vibe of the drawing was inspired by this song’s classic rock tune.
Tumblr media
💕February This piece was largely just playing around with clothing textures and such, and the main idea was to present Luv's heart mask in a different way. Some looks had a much stronger thematic vision than others, and this is definitely one of the weaker ones. I don't have much to say about it tbh
The jacket is inspired by a Coach x Keith Haring collaboration jacket, and the mask is a "Lover" mask design by LikeADrugg.
Tumblr media
💕March This was done when Ousama Ranking was airing and I fell in love with the demon's heart-shaped mouth, which I referenced here. Contrary to popular belief, Aku from Samurai Jack was not the inspiration for this.
There isn't much more to say about this one, I wanted him to look creepy and spindly. I had a blast with the rendering, very proud of how it turned out!
Tumblr media
💕April I was really excited for the concept of this one, but it did not turn out how I wanted it to.
He was supposed to be essentially mask-less on this piece, with the visor of his hat casting a heart-shaped shadow on his face. I also wanted to push more in the fashion aspect in this one, the main inspiration being a pair of RoseCut pants & Vivienne Westwood's Love logo, which I used a few more times in my work after this.
Tumblr media
💕May Ok I suddenly got struck by an extreme passion for punk fashion at this point, and I poured it heavily into this iteration. Another different play on the heart mask, this time it changed to heart-shaped glasses. Various spikes become a pretty recurring element from here on lmao. There's also the Westwood Love logo again.
A fun fact; this is actually largely a re-used design of a GothPunk Luv I tried drawing once, but scrapped because I didn't like how it was going! I loved the ideas behind that design and am really glad I got to bring it back here. <:
Tumblr media
💕June This is a very simple one, as I was dealing with the loss of a beloved pet, and I simply didn't have the energy to draw anything bigger.
This actually turned out to be one of my favourite designs for Luv, as it's very simple but very fun, and easy to draw. It became my go-to design for doodles. Lyrics is from "It Gets Harder" by Good Luck
Tumblr media
💕July Tried something very different with style here. I wanted the style and colours to be a little bit more ethereal in vibe, hence the very bright soft shapes and floating gold bits. The doll-like face also adds o the dreamyness, with the matte black eyes and no shine. I think that adding some thick lineart in the centre of the drawing makes the image a bit disorienting, which I quite like.
Main focal point is the golden Jeremy Scott + Adidas Wings sneaker, which was basically what this entire piece was built around.
Tumblr media
💕 August This is another one of my favourite looks. I really love the outfit elements of it, as well as the colours, and I can definitely see myself drawing it again sometime, which is not something I can say for most other looks in this project!
Despite it being one of my favourite designs in this series, I don’t have much to say about the piece  itself though. The shirt was inspired by a shirt worn by Donquixote Doflamingo on one of the One Piece manga covers.
Tumblr media
💕September This piece has recently been chosen to partake in a group exhibition in the capital city of my country, which is quite a big deal for me!
Luv is sporting a very casual streetwear look with a graffiti can in hand. This was the first time I familiarized myself with gradient maps, experimenting with which helped me choose the final palette. The "Love & Peace" sign in the background is taken from a Trigun episode title. The decorations on the pants were inspired by Lirika Matoshi's S/S22 collection, and the shirt evokes several Junya Watanabe/Comme des Garçons shirts from the early 2000s.
Tumblr media
💕October Spooky Luv for spooky month, I really love this piece. It's one of my favourite recent pieces!
Again a lineless piece like the month before, but I took a very different approach to shading, and honestly I expected it to be so much harder than it was. It was a blast to work on this one and I love the effect that pitch black shading has on a monochrome body. I did a lot of experimenting with the background and used gradient maps again to get a cool background effect. I was aiming to get some kinda old video game cover look with this. The text on top is my favourite quote from Dracula. The background is a photo from the Croatian coast that I took last summer.
Tumblr media
💕November The aim of this one was to capture the nostalgic early 2010s anime & deviantART style. I looked to a few anime for reference, but I think in the end Lucky Star was the most helpful.
I tried to channel deviantART character designs I remember from that era, using typical design features I remember from it, such as demon wings, stripes, collars, off-the-shoulder oversized shirts, and checkered belts. The fashion inspiration here is largely the signature Chrome Hearts crosses, while the shoes were inspired by the fantastic toothed heels from the GCDS spring/summer '23 collection which I only now realized does not fit the Y2K theme I was going for with this one lmao
Either way, I'm very happy with this one, I think I achieved what I went out to do!
Oh yeah, and the text in the background is the entire lyrics of the album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance.
Tumblr media
💕December Last piece of the challenge was almost entirely re-drawn, as I didn't like the first look of it. There isn't much specific inspiration for this one, but I wanted to make it vaguely connected to the December season.
As a reference to Christmas, there are elements of angels in the design, with a bright halo and tiny wings. The symbol I personally associate with new year is the peace sign☮️, because I remember that my dad used to give family friends a New Year's card with nothing but a peace sign in it. He stopped doing it recently, so I'm taking up that mantle instead.
The little sleepy Luv on the right side is taken from a different Monthly Makeover piece that I scrapped.
I'm not sure if it's clear, but the shape at the bottom says 2023.
Thank you

My problem with Sarada’s timeskip outfit
I wasn’t going to do this but with the number of times i have seen that outfit on my FY page on other platforms, I kinda wanna gauge my eyes out.
But I’ll refrain from that and explain why I don’t like it. If you like it that’s your thing.
Tumblr media
I won’t be too mean so let’s get to the Pros first.
- This is Ikemoto’s own flare and I respect that. Kishimoto did encourage him to do this own thing rather than copy his style, and he’s doing it, so that’s a plus.
- It helps separate Kishi’s and Ike’s work better.
- It’s kinda cool and fashionable once you get use to it. The outfit is also a continuation of her pre timeskip ( which is also problematic for me)
However, for me the Cons outweighs the Pros about 3 times at least
1. It doesn’t suit Sarada as a person.
She’s quite level-headed and practical since the beginning of the series. Sarada also doesn’t express her emotions openly. She’s not much of a fashion gal who needs to dress cute and sexy all the time as well.
She’s also a responsive and active girl.
As we know, outfit is a big part of character design, it shows the readers part of the character’s characteristics, and we can understand which vibes they gonna give off.
Heels and loose jackets don’t help indicate the activeness, maturity and seriousness that Sarada has.
The jacket and the shoes being big and heavy don’t indicate a powerful taijutsu user who has Chidori ( a technique that is speed based) as one of her arsenal.
Various accessories don’t show a girl who is efficient and analytical right on the spot.
So a drippy and ngl sexy outfit doesn’t help showing what kind of person she actually is.
2. The design doesn’t match the world building
Yes this is peace time, yes it is also a fantasy world, but Naruto character designs have always been more functionalities oriented. Tell me you look at a basic jounin outfit and say it doesn’t scream life bulletproof jacket.
However it’s still a fantasy so not everything has to 100% be functionalism because if that’s the case then they’ll all wear bulletproof jackets.
If you see the main designs of each period you can see how it evolved over time: from samurai-ish armor to bulletproof style jacket and lighter version of it in Boruto time.
This problem comes in 2 parts
- It hinders Sarada’s very own power
She has her mother’s strength and her father’s ninjutsu, which requires her being fast and active. A big bomber jacket which is always fallen on one shoulder ( and stay there with all of her movements smh ) doesn’t help her very physical fighting style.
Tumblr media
And you better tell me how this kind of sleeves does not hinder her hands’ signs, esp the thumbs.
- The design contradicts a very crucial element of Naruto’s clothing design: Maneuverability
This one is quite a controversial and people have screamed left and right about this so I’ll just argue some stuff they said
1. Heels are not a problem. She can fight in heels since there were other women in Naruto did that.
Yes and no.
Yes theoretically she can. However Sarada as an active teen Chunin won’t do that.
The famous examples of women who fight in heels were Mei, Tsunade and Konan. However Konan often turns herself into paper and she floats/ flies a lot so she didn’t even need her legs as much lol.
Mei and Tsunade are straight up Kages, they don’t have to fight that often. And when they have to fight, it’s either ambush or a sudden wtf thing appears out of nowhere.
If you look at every Chunin girl designs, none of them fight in heels. Especially those taijutsu specials aka Tenten, Hinata and her mom!
2. There are ppl who wear long coats but still can fight so can she. ( aka the Akatsuki and Hinata)
The coat is part of the character designs to help gives off a cool, dangerous and mysterious vibe for the new villain, so that the readers can be hooked and keep reading.
Still the coat is quite easy to move in even when it’s zipped up.
Tumblr media
The lower part ( idk what to call it ) can still split apart after that.
Hinata has a big jacket but it’s to show her shyness and introverted nature, and she zips that shit up wtf.
Summary:
I guess my very main problem is that it doesn’t suit Sarada’s very own character, the others are just favour to the main dishes.
Thank you for reading till the end. I’m also happy to hear other takes on this.

In working on my ATLA Hundred Year War Trilogy:
Fair warning, this post goes a bit into military theory and is my showing off my military history background, so if this annoys people feel free to skip.
I don't think the writers of ATLA understand that weapons systems don't exist by default, they arise for specific reasons, to meet specific functions. This is especially clear with the existence of tanks. In real life tanks were the result of trench warfare and the power of artillery and machine guns to sap the momentum of an offensive before it had the chance to get started. Tracks and armor and a cannon were combined to reduce barbed wire and machine gun nests and to concentrate the fire of infantry so infantry and artillery could work with the armor to break any defensive system.
That was the theory, engineering took a generation to start actually catching up with it and in reality the best anti-tank weapon in WWII was a fighter-bomber. Tanks were part of a balanced system, not the primary driving force. The Nazis very much did not fully understand this, which was why they wasted time building over-engineered monsters that were meant to do all the tasks of an army instead of focusing on deeper organizational issues, which the USSR and USA did successfully and the UK semi-successfully.
The problem with ATLA is you have a weapon reliant on a 20th Century battlefield of indirect fire and projectile weapons of the precise kind that do not, in fact, exist in ATLA. And then you have this weapon co-existing with medieval Asian weaponry like halberds, clubs, axes, spears, and the like. This is having Samurai side by side with a Patton tank.
So the question that the writers theoretically could have answered and have yet to do is why a society without gunpowder or any of the actual IRL reasons that went into tanks would suddenly make them and let them be used when there's literally nothing else to support it.
There is actually a pretty simple answer that works here, that after a hundred years of warfare the industrialism demographic revolution is running dry and the Fire Nation lacks the bodies its earlier generals used to muddle through whenever it really had to do so. So tanks developed as a means of using other advantages, hence the 20th Century naval ships co-existing with otherwise medieval aspects, to negate that they just don't have the power to fight battles like they used to.
It's not a deliberate technological advance, it's a stopgap because Iroh and his precursors squandered all those lives and there is no capacity for 'they didn't like that army, here's six more bigger than it was'.

I've always thought about the fact that in Riley's canon, Johnny's Samurai jacket has always belonged to her family (it's her great-grandfather's bomber jacket from when he flew jets during the 2nd Lat Am Wars, which he subsequently modded with Samurai decals as a fan of their post-war messaging). Because of that, Rogue can't gift her the jacket during Chippin' In since it technically doesn't exist in the same way as it does in canon, so she just gifts Riley a pair of Johnny's old aviators instead and goes "he left sets of these in my car all the goddamn time I have like seven more in my glove compartment alone", to which Riley goes "..........You know what? That tracks".

" Imagine if Rider had a Monster egg on them"
Oh Man, everyone gonna be losing there minds
First deciding what Monster it is tough cause there are so many insane choices
There's the aforementioned Boxing Bomber, Brachydios
The Super Simian, Rajang
Hellfire Samurai Tiger, Magnamalo
The Goofy Looking Phantom, Chameleos
Along with so many others
No matter the choice their certainly in for an insane time dealing with a hyperactive baby Monsties
Thank goodness they grow up fast
Tumblr media
Put the names in a Roulette and see what it lands. Those Rajang poses though. Lol
I do know for a fact Kafka would most likely be alone in the room with the egg when it hatches. He's the most curious and that's not including his Kaiju side.

Arc-V Month Day 3: Duetto of Duelist and Spirit
I'll be honest, I don't have many thoughts on the cards themselves. As much as I love Yugioh, I've always been more interested in the duelists and their drama, and while I love myself a good duel, that's usually more due to the format being a cool take on a standard Shonen Battle-System. Plus, I am absolute garbage at the Card Game. Most of the time, I focus less on the Monsters and their designs and more about what they represent in the story.
SO, I thought it'd instead talk about an underrated aspect of Arc-V, which is the way it uses the cards as an element of the narrative and characterization.
Arc-V, moreso than most, ties the Deck every duelist uses to an element of their personality and their role in the story. Some are really obvious, such as Sora's cute monsters turning into horrible abominations when Fusion becomes involved. Others are more subtle, like how Phantom Knights are much like Yuto after fusing with Yuya. In a few cases, they even use cards as foreshadowing: Dark Rebellion seems like a card that would suck in the Xyz Dimension due to the Level restriction—until you realize it was originally Zarc's card.
This also results in some of my favorite archetypes. Lunalight, Fluffals, Cardians, Abyss Actors, etc. My favorite example, however, gotta be Superheavy Samurai. The concept of monsters that use no Spells or Traps and attack via Defense is already pretty interesting, but it ties perfectly to Gongenzaka's character. His stationary playstyle means he isn't picking up Action Cards like the rest of the cast, which he wouldn't want anyway, making his dueling stand out. But the writers can subvert this to create big moments—Gongenzaka picking up an Action Card to save Yuya in the Battle Beast duel carries a lot more weight because you know it's basically a death sentence for him.
Action Duels had problems in execution, but the concept meant that monsters became more than just ATK plus effects. It made each monster more unique, as they each affected the field in interesting ways. Yuya using Whip Snake as a grappling hook or Shun using his birds as carpet bombers are the kind of action the other Yugioh shows lack. It was a pretty natural way of incorporating motion into the series, and if it wasn't for the writers abusing Action Cards more than was called for I'd happily say Action Duels were the best "alternative" dueling style in the Anime.

One of the things about IBO is that if you listen to what it was inspired by, those inspirations serve as hints to the show's true nature.
Barbatos was designed in s1 to start off looking like a kid wearing a samurai helmet, only to gain more samurai armor as it evolves. Therefore, it's linking Tekkadan to the honorable samurai. It's pilot Mikazuki is even described as honorable in episode 3, but there's a catch. Orga said that about Mikazuki after Tekkadan drugged their superiors, tied them up, stole the company from them with Mikazuki executing those who resisted earlier in the episode. It was said because Mika accepted a challenge for a duel, something he rejects towards the end of the season in an act that Yaraon reported had him being called evil on Japanese forums. That samurai-armor was ripped off Barbatos in the final battle of s1, with Mikazuki being called a monster. Barbatos would then become more demonic looking in the following season to the point it stopped looking human.
The thing about the samurai is they weren't that honorable. That was PR after the samurai class was abolished following the Meiji restoration, where the former samurai boosted their image in order to look better from the masses. It was also this image that fueled Imperial Japan, this belief that bushido made them better than others and acted as a justification for what they would do to them.
The story was also said to be inspired by the Shinsengumi, who fought against the restoration. Stories at the time paint the group as violent thugs, but following the Meiji era people began to romanticize them. So, like with the samurai we have Tekkadan being linked to groups that were made to appear better than they were in hindsight. Even in the show, Tekkadan having PR on their side is actually the truth, with Nobliss Gordon in s1 and McGillis in s2 spreading stories that they are heroes in order to further their own goals.
The director said following the first season the show was a mafia story, based on the same events that the Battles without Honor and Humanity series, treated as the Japanese version of The Godfather, were. That film series actually went against how the yakuza were portrayed in media at the time, as outlaw heroes looking out for the common man and even the modern-day samurai, by instead presenting them as crooks feeding off the poor and not giving much of a damn towards honor or the code of the yakuza.
They all link back to the samurai in some way, but now we have another link to WW2. Doesn't help that the show's name, Tekketsu no Orphans, invokes the tale of the Tekketsu Kinotai, where Imperial Japanese sent kids from Okinawa to fight against Americans. Tales involve giving them two grenades, one to toss at the enemy and the other to act as a suicide bomber with. One of the survivors of this talked about being rescued by Americans and crying when he realized they weren't the monsters he was told they were.
The last quarter of the show also reflects the Japanese far-Right narrative concerning WW2. In that narrative, America put Japan's prosperity into question with it's embargo so they bombed US bases across the Pacific in a surprise attack. Japan was beaten back to it's homeland, where they tried to negotiate a surrender before being illegally bombed with nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, the yakuza gain strength in Japanese politics with approval of the Americans to keep the country from going commie. That's pretty much what happens in the show, except the show leaves out that Tekkadan being hit with illegal weapons was a response to Tekkadan's usage of the AV-system, which itself was banned.
It all goes back to this idea of false narratives, which fits when the director talked about how following s1 we weren't supposed to think of Tekkadan as wrong or misguided only to say that Merribit was the one who was right at the time following s2. It was this director who pushed for Tekkadan to be punished for their crimes by the ending. And when you think about it, it's really... calling out Japan over WW2.
The standard Gundam design is based on the samurai, and Tomino has talked about growing up post-war and seeing the adults trying to pass on their ways to the next generation. It's why in his works he's so adamant that we need to empower the youth so they don't make the same mistakes. Miyazaki has also talked about growing up in this era and being disgusted both at the Americans for acting like they're the good guys after nuking the country and the Japanese men who bragged about what they did in China. The things these men, supposedly honorable men acting in accordance with bushido, were doing. Fukui even got in on this with Unicorn, with Full Frontal basing his plan on the Japanese co-prosperity sphere which was, in reality, just Japanese Imperialism while making themselves look as though they're defending the rest of Asia from the West.
Fukuda can fuck himself over his claims the original show was based on Vietnam.
Even the special edition of the show plays into this, reflecting how WWII wasn't taught in Japanese schools and even today they'll spend so much time on the history leading up to WWII they run out of time to teach the war. That ends at Hashmal, right before the start of the final quarter where Tekkadan are punished.

Megacorp vs nationalism
UltraGood was at war with the neighbouring nation of the Union. While UG had more money, they soon found their APCs and tanks blown up and UG's assault turned into a barely coordinated retreat.
Two weeks later, UG's leadership called an emergency meeting. "Okay, everyone, report!" CEO Roberts looked around. General Smithersen, the leader of the security forces, were busy poking her PDA. The only other Board member was Ian Letik, who was fuming. "Your idiotic war makes me lose all my money!" "Ian, we WILL defeat the Union. Believe me! We have all the money we need!" "Sir, if this goes on, we have to start conscript-" Smithersen started, but Roberts shouted her to shut it. "Only talk when I ask you! Ian, listen, we defeat the Union and then we- Oh, Johnson is on the line!" he laughed and pressed the green button.
The hologram of Johnson came in, he was in a corridor, running, with a steel helmet and a cybernetic vest on. He was flanked by a cybersamurai Roberts hired, but the CEO noticed how their clothing were dusty and the samurai bled. Gunfire and explosions were heard. "Johnson, what's going on?" "The Union! They are bombing the regional offices!" "How? You had the air force!" "You fired half the pilots!" Johnson shouted and was pushed into an elevator, the mercenary holding their electric sword arm up, ready and waiting. "The Union bought the planes we sold last year, remember?" "No, I don't remember every small transaction you all do!" "Well, they own half our air force, and they already had more." "They were a waste of money, just sitting there, I bought those supercarriers instead!" "Sir, if I may." Smithersen perked up. "Your sup-" "Wait a bit Johnson. What is it?" "Your supercarriers are currently at war with the Union's naval forces. Two of them sunk, four is bombed at this moment and the remaining three can't reach back from the offshore assets in time." "Just buy a few more!" "Yes, sir. They will be deployed ASAP, sir." Smithersen snarked, but the CEO was oblivious to it. "Johnson, what is going on? Your screen is off." "The power is out." the regional leader sighed, only lit by the cybersuit and the energy blade as the samurai started cutting at the door. "Guess they cut the power, but we are almost at the panic room. You need to send me a lot of tanks!" "I can't, they are protecting our oil wells!" "Screw your oil wells! There won't be anything to fuel with them if the Union sh-" The door fallen off the elevator, and the cybersamurai started to be hit with a hail of bullets. Many bounced off, but the amount of gunfire was enough to start tearing up their armour. Johnson crawled to the corner of the elevator, dropping the holophone, which now only shown the upper half of the elevator, then bumped as the body of the mercenary fell down. "Please... I surrender! I... I never wanted to fight the Union! Honest!" A soldier walked into the frame, aiming a gun at Johnson, who started crying. "Please... I have a family." "You suits only have assets! Private, shoot him." Roberts terminated the video feed, then started looking around. Most of the Board was in bunkers, but out of the eleven out there, only four replied back.
"Smithersen! Why are they winning? We got more money, more tech and more people!" "Well, permission to speak freely, sir?" "Yes." "You are fucked, sir." the general stated. "What do you mean? We have more soldiers with the best guns we produce!" "The Union bought our guns too. They also paid you a lot for your own private army to train their soldiers in the last ten fiscal years. Meanwhile, next to buying the guns, they also built a patriotic fervour." "People love our brand! We are THE brand!" "Yes, and everyone is employed by you."
Outside, explosions sounded, and one of the UG skyscrapers started to burn. The sirens did not started. About four corporate soldiers walked in, and the jet bombers of the Union dotted the skies above the city. "How? How can our forces not fight?" "Well, you know how much you pay for the soldiers at the siren area?" "...No?" "Not enough. The Union had a better offer." Smithersen took off her badge and threw it on the table. "I quit. They give us amnesty, and we won't fight back." "Wait! You can get a raise. 40%? 50%?" "Nah..." Smithersen pulled her gun and shot Roberts in the leg, the CEO falling over. Letik smiled. "And if you are gone, we can negotiate." he said, holding up his holophone. "Please connect in the Prime Minister of the Union. We got the surrender deal ready." The PM of the Union lied in the chair, with a bullet hole in his head. A general next to him adjusted the camera. "As they say, we are under new management. You will surrender unconditionally."

Cowboy Funk is quite possibly the wackiest, funniest anime episode I have ever watched. You’ve got:
Extremely grumpy Spike, which is always a heckin delight to watch, pouting and flailing and sticking out that bottom lip and getting trampled by a horse and going from the prettiest man alive to the dumbest looking scarecrow you’ll ever meet
Jet’s stupidly hilarious on-the-nose shirt and his drawling fake washed-up-hippie accent (peace and love, baaaaby!)
Faye’s perfect sass around that dumb cowboy
the main villain not only being a bomber who uses teddy bears for weaponry but his main beef is CAPITALISM??? This show was made back in approximately 1998 but the jokes are 100% 2022
Andy. From the overdramatic whistle to the pointed forgetfulness to the idiotic beef with Spike to having his own soup brand to becoming a space samurai (??) to “see you, space cowboy,” I hated him, and I loved every second he had onscreen.
“Are you even listening to me, Jet?” “Yeah, yeah.” rip Spike Spiegel’s ego
The whole show is great but the sheer buffoonery present in this episode had me on the FLOOR
